Speaker 6 (02:52):
I think today, today.
Speaker 7 (02:54):
Today, this moment today, Yes you are.
Speaker 9 (02:57):
The question is because we have all these lderly people
now having babies like de Niro or al Pacino, and I.
Speaker 7 (03:04):
Mean they're elderly.
Speaker 9 (03:04):
Absolutely, are we going to get an elderly baby out
of the Lopezes?
Speaker 2 (03:09):
You know what, It's funny that you said that, because
I was going to use that later on as a
pitch to my wife, like, honey, these guys are having
babies in their eighties. I'm almost half that age. Well
I can have what are you talking about?
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Almost half that age?
Speaker 2 (03:25):
I think I can squeeze one morning. I think this
is God giving us a sign.
Speaker 6 (03:28):
I don't think I honestly think so.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
And Sonny's getting a little easier to deal with.
Speaker 6 (03:33):
No, he is not.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Just you know what I want for my birthday? That
another baby? Well, let's do it. You're to me shiny

That baby in the toilet.
Speaker 1 (03:49):

Mario Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 2 (03:53):

twenty twenty three iHeartRadio Music Festival.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
We already know the date.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
It's September two, twenty second and twenty third in Vegas.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
And on Tuesday we'll unveil the lineup. Plus we'll tell
you how to win tickets before they even go on sale.
It's going to be the biggest music event of the year,
so be sure to log into on with Mario dot com.
Speaker 6 (04:13):
First thing Tuesday morning.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
What al Mario Lopez?
Speaker 2 (04:18):
Here is just a few more songs, and then today's
guest should be Zoom and and it is actress at
Lacey Shabert Old School Party five and Mean Girls. She's
got a new movie which seems like part mystery park comedy,
part dance recital. It's called The Dancing Detective a Deadly Tango.
It's a great name, but find out all about it next.
You're all Mario Lopez joining me on Zoom for the
(04:38):
new movie The Dancing Detective A Deadly Tango Actress Lacey
shay Bear.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
Welcome the show.
Speaker 10 (04:44):
Nice to see you.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
Nice to see you too. You look great as always.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
I'm loving this title. The Dancing Detective A Deadly Tango
that is fantastic?
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Is it a mystery? Is it a comedy? What's it about?
Speaker 10 (04:56):
Actually both nailed it. Yeah, it is a mystery. I
played the detective.
Speaker 8 (05:02):
She goes to Malta to investigate a murder. She's partner
up with a guy named Sebastian who is an actor
and a dance instructor. He's played by the wonderful Will Kemp,
and we have to go undercover.
Speaker 10 (05:14):
As husband and wife.
Speaker 8 (05:15):
He's also teaching me to dance to compete in this
competition so that I can do my investigation.
Speaker 10 (05:20):
And we couldn't be more different.
Speaker 8 (05:22):
And he absolutely drives my character crazy because I'm very
serious and straight laced and there to do a job,
and he thinks he's a detective. He's acting like a
detective that maybe he's seen on TV. And he's really
really funny. So there's a lot of comedy and levity,
you know, in the mystery, and it turns into an adventure.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
I bet it must have been a lot of fun
to film.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
Did you film it in Europe?
Speaker 8 (05:43):
Yeah, we film the whole thing in Malta and it
was just an incredible experience.
Speaker 10 (05:47):
I'd never been there. Yeah, at what a beautiful place. I'dredtible.
I can't recommend it enough.
Speaker 8 (05:53):
And the place where we are ends up being a
character in the movie, you know.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
And it's so you can't you can't fake Lancaster for that,
So I bet it was a treat. The Dancing Detective
premieres tonight on Hallmark. All right, hold tight, have more
with Lacey Shabeer coming up more Mario Lopez coming up?
What Mario Lopez here talking about the new movie The
Dancing Detective with actress Lacey Shadebeer.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
Did you have any dance training prior to this?
Speaker 8 (06:21):
Well, I mean Will and I had danced in a
Christmas movie that we did together a few years ago,
and that was the first time I had really danced
seriously on screen. And I am not a dancer, and
it's I was super scared of it, but it was
fun to face the challenge and to learn, and while
it wasn't perfect, I really made a lot of progress
and tried really hard for you. But this time around,
(06:42):
we're doing the tango and the fox trot and some
pretty complicated dances that were hard but really really really fun.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
It's fun, huh it is? And a good workout too.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
So, would you ever do.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Dancing with the Stars now that you've got this under
your belt?
Speaker 8 (06:58):
I'm still too afraid.
Speaker 7 (07:00):
So too afraid.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
Well, I have to have a couple more dancing movies
then before we get I love that show.
Speaker 10 (07:04):
I'm a real fan.
Speaker 8 (07:05):
I watch it all the time, but I'm still too afraid.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
I think, oh, wow, that's that's uh.
Speaker 10 (07:10):
You never say never, I guess I ever say never.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
That's right, all right, Lacey gotta play some more music.
Got Lacey Shaybear on zoom with me. You're all Maria
Lopez and we're coming up on the twentieth anniversary Me
and Girls, which I know. There's been a lot of talk,
of course, about a sequel. Would you ever consider it?
And what do you think Gretchen would be up to?
Speaker 8 (07:28):
Oh my gosh, Gretchen's probably running the toaster strudal Empire,
I would guess. And yeah, they're making they're making a
movie of the musical now actually, so I'm really excited
to see that.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Oh that should be very cool, very cool. It's nice
that it still strikes accord with a lot of people.
All right, let's get back to music. You're all Maria Lopez.
We're wrapping things up with today's guest, Lacey shay Beart.
And we were talking about your daughter, your little girl,
prior to to getting no On. She's five years old, right,
or she's six years old, that's right, she's had a
birthday recently.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
What's she into everything?
Speaker 8 (07:59):
Everything that is you know, unicorns and just all the shows,
and she's send the arts and crafts and my house
is covered in glitter twenty.
Speaker 10 (08:09):
Four hours a day, just all the all the things.
Speaker 8 (08:13):
And she's just pure joy and fun and makes us laugh.
And you know, you have a daughter and it's the best.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Is it is the best, and it just gets better.
Has she shown any sort of indication about wanting to
get into the entertainment business at all, act in any capacity?
And how would you feel about that? Would you encourage it?
Speaker 3 (08:30):
Discourage it?
Speaker 8 (08:32):
Well, you know, I had a really positive experience. So
it's my parents are really protective and I love what
I do. I'm appreciative that they nurtured that from such
a young age for me. But I would only I
would only, you know, want to help her or support
her in that way, if it's what she really wanted.
She's really funny. She is quite a little performer, but
(08:54):
she's also very shy, and she's so little.
Speaker 10 (08:57):
You know, she's so young right now.
Speaker 8 (08:59):
I I think that's a decision probably best made when
she's an adult.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Yeah, when she starts go how old are you when
you started into the business.
Speaker 10 (09:06):
I was about her age.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
She's about it, ironically, and because I was pretty young
myself too, night even older.
Speaker 8 (09:12):
I was about seven, maybe about to be eight when
we first moved to New York and I started doing
theater and commercials, and you know, I didn't understand the
business side then that a huge All I knew was
I love performing, and I loved making people laugh, and
I loved pretending to be someone else. You know. It's
the ultimate kind of use of your imagination in a way,
and I have so many good memories over the year.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
You get to flex all those creative muscles and see
you turned out great. I'm all right, all right, yeah,
congratulations on the film again.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
I think it's the coolest title ever.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
The Dancing Detective, A Deadly Tango debut is today on Hallmark. Lady,

introduced the world.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
To Mariah Carey. You know this one. I know it.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
I can picture the picture on her CD, but no
I can't think of the song.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Well, I'm gonna reveal it next.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
You're all with Mario Courtney Lopez and on this day
in History, thirty three years ago. In nineteen ninety, Rackkerry
is on the Hot one hundred charge for the very
first time with this song.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
Them to Me Vision Love Again was their first number
one hit.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
That's when she was married to Tommy Mantola, who is
now married to Talia, and she would go on, I
think to have more number one hits than any other
female artists from that point.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
Pretty impressive.
Speaker 6 (13:33):
She's incredible.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
Mr Courtney Lopez got some celebst turning a year older.
We're gonna try to guess her ages.
Speaker 9 (13:40):
Wayne Brady from whose line is it? Anyway, Let's make
a deal.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
I love, Let's make a deal. When I am home,
I put that on. I just fight with the contestants.
I look at their outfits and I say they're stupid
or not.
Speaker 7 (13:55):
The show where they dress up, Yes, they dress up.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
They just random Wayne and Brady.
Speaker 6 (14:01):
He has to be fifty.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
I'm gonna say my guy's fifty three.
Speaker 7 (14:06):
Fifty one one.
Speaker 9 (14:08):
Andy Cohen from Bravo, I think he runs Bravo is
the King of Bravo.
Speaker 6 (14:11):
King of Bravo.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
He's hard to gauge because he's had gray hair and
is now white. But he just had, like I think,
another baby didn't he Yeah, I'm gonna guess he's fifty nine.
Speaker 4 (14:23):
Oh that's rude. I think he's more like forty.
Speaker 7 (14:27):
Eight thirty nine. Week now he's fifty five. He's fifty five.
Speaker 6 (14:32):
I didn't that he was that old.

Speaker 1 (15:07):

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Way You're on Mark Courtney Lopez, treat every day like a.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
Holiday when we celebrating today, Honey, you guys, it.
Speaker 6 (15:14):
Is a National Donut Day.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
And I love me a donut and I like to
go old school glazed or chocolate glazed. Shout out to
our neighborhood donut shop. Golden Donuts. I believe that's the
name of it.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
They're so old school.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
They only accept cash, and they are only open until
they run out of donuts that they've made that nice.
So they often close about twelve one o'clock and they
open like a five in the morning, so by noon
they're gone. So you have to get those donuts, and
they're really really good and worth it.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
I mean, they're homemade. Marin Courtney Lopez, here was some
quick buzz for you.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Eighty star and friend of the show, Tiffany is lucky
to be alive after a very scary accident. A tire
from a semi fell off the truck and slammed into
her car on the highway.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
Oh wow.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Apparently the tire got stuck under Tiffany's car and it's totaled,
but somehow she avoided serious injuries.
Speaker 6 (16:08):
She had an angel on her side for sure.
Speaker 7 (16:10):
Good.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Nice to hear she's okay, okay, more music now, yoh,
Mark Courtney Lopez. Time for another fake debate where the
topics are made up on the spot, but.
Speaker 11 (16:19):
The passion is real on with Mario Lopez present the
fake debate.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
I think I'm con yes, yes, you are but does
that mean you're con for today.
Speaker 9 (16:30):
Yes, you will be Courney will be con today, Mario
B pro. You'll have fifteen seconds make your case. Ten
second rebuttal in honor of a holiday from earlier this week,
National Parrot Day. Your topic today parrots, parent, I'm pro
part you're pro parrots.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
Parrots are absolutely the most fascinating, brilliant creatures in nature.
They talk what other animal talks. You can have a
full on conversation and get advice from your own bird.
Speaker 7 (17:02):
Missus Lopez, you're against parrots.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
Parrots are unnecessary. They're kind of like a walking Alexa
or Siri. They will just repeat things. It's listening to you.
If you say something bad, it could repeat it in
the worst possible moment.
Speaker 6 (17:17):
You can be in jail.
Speaker 7 (17:17):
Forever, mister Lopez.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
That sort of negative energy is not wanted around here.
If you're lonely and you don't like people, but you
want to have a conversation, get yourself a parrot. By
the way, a parrot can live as long as you can.
It could outlive you. Actually, it could be an heirloom,
Missus Lopez.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
Parents can take off in a split second. They don't
have love for humans. They just know that they're fed
by you and that's all that they care about. They
will leave you in a heartbeat.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
Cold desires.
Speaker 7 (17:48):
Tell us so you think one Adam La.
Speaker 11 (17:49):
Maria, tell Mario what you think on Twitter at On
with Mario More Mario Lopez.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
On the way out, Mario Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
Here the material girl is going to make this the
summer of collab. Madonna is teaming up with The Weekend
and Playboy Carti for a song called Popular that's on
the Weekend's new album.
Speaker 4 (18:08):
She's also got a new single with Sam Smith in
the works that's called Vulgar and that drops next Friday.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
Okay, Madonna, right now, more music though, Mario Courtney Lopez.
Here was some quick buzz for you.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
Alexa tired of talking like celebrities, Amazon is ending its
special Alexa Voice packs before you could have your device
talking like Samuel l. Jackson, Melissa McCarthy or Shaq. So funny,
what celebrity would you like to have?
Speaker 7 (18:35):
Definitely not Mario Lopez because we hear.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
You know, when I walk into the hotel room and
he's behind me and then he's on the TV.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
I'm like, Mario overloaded I think.
Speaker 6 (18:44):
I would have like Celine Dion talk to me.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
She's got a nice soothing but she's got a little laxon.
Speaker 6 (18:49):
I think I would have her sing to me whatever
she would say.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
Right, I'm down with Samuel L. Jackson because it or
shaq Shaza.
Speaker 7 (18:57):
Tree PEPSI, I can find the answer for you.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
Yeah, exactly, I'd love me some shock. All right, let's
get back to me.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
You're all more Courtney Lopez, and before we take off
for the weekend, we're gonna give you the final word
with our tweet of the week.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
What you got, honey.
Speaker 4 (19:11):
This is from at Coffee Mama, and she said my
kids could never get away with murder because they'd leave
an empty fruit snack wrapper at the crime.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
Absolutely copy.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
Yeah, yeah, listen, it's hard for anyone to get away
with murder these days. We were talking about that, not
just because of the DNA, but because you're literally filmed everywhere.
There's cameras everywhere you look, on the street, somebody's yard,
or so.
Speaker 4 (19:37):
I don't understand how there are still crimes being committed anyway.
