Speaker 1 (00:00):
I have on with Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Okay, let's do this. Mario Lopez here back in the
mix for a few hours of music and fun. Today
I got doctor Pimple Popper from TLC joining me with
some stories that were a little too hot for TV. Well,
we're gonna get to your tweet, so sendra comments on
request and now you're on with Mario Lopez. You're on
Mario Corney Lopez and the Bella Twins have changed their
names on with Mario Hollywood buzz So after sixteen years

(00:28):
of going by the names Nicki and Brie Bella, well
those were their names, I mean, going by the way,
the twins are cutting.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Ties their last name, their stage name.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
Correct, correct, correct.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
The twins are cutting ties with WWE and going back
to their birth names Nicki and Brie Garcia. Apparently the
term Bella Twins is a trademark owned by the WWE,
and their old YouTube page is now gone because Bella
in Spanish means like pretty. He's an Italian, Yeah, beautiful, exactly,

(01:00):
same as an Italian Nikki and Brigarcia. I like those
girls because they're border town girls just like me. Yeah,
they gore up near you, right, no, not near me,
but their Mexican girls from El Centro, which is a
bordered like real border town in California. It gets super
hot right there, so I always cheer for them to
do well. They're now married. And the crazy thing is

(01:20):
they're twins, right, and they had babies on the exact
same day they planned that. No, no coincidence? Is that wild?

Speaker 4 (01:26):
That's insane, Poor Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
J'al Mario Lopez. Let's take a look at what's on
TV today.

Speaker 5 (01:33):
HBO premiere is Angel City, Natalie Portman's docuseries about a
female soccer team.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Yeah, this is the soccer team here in La that
a lot of actresses are part of and I think
have a have a portion of as far as ownership.

Speaker 5 (01:47):
So okay, And Hulu has La Chica Invisible. When a
student is murdered at her high school, the detective's daughter
starts our own investigation into the crime.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Ooh, okay, little Nancy drew action. All right, what al
Mario Lopez here? This week' sweep Steaks is not live
on our website. We're sending one lucky winner and a
guest is in city Las Vegas. Got round trip coach
airfare covered two nights at the wind and two tickets
to see the hilarious Abastian Maniscalco. Big thanks to AG
Presents for providing the prizes. Only one way to enter.

(02:19):
Head over and on with Mario dot Com. You're on
with Mario Gordey Lopez. Tell me Live fat. What is
a topic today? Cordey's quarter shirt?

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Buttons?

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Oh? Are these the kind of buttons that you have
to actually put in the hole as opposed to I'm
a fan of the rip, you know, but.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
I mean just kind of snap.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
That's a snap button I'm a fan of.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
But that's what I'm talking about.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
I'm a fan of the snap button.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
With the four holes inside and where you have to
get the button.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
It's a snap button. I'm a fan of the snap
button because you can break away.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Are you doing that often?

Speaker 2 (02:54):
I am? I'd like to do that.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
There's nothing more annoying than when a button comes off
a shirt. And one thing I always do when they
give you that extra button in.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
The shirt, immediate because what are you gonna just save
all these.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
But No, but there were times I did save all
these buttons and I'm like, what are these buttons?

Speaker 4 (03:14):
What do they go to.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
I had no idea, So now I throwm what well
for a lot of clothing, buttons are secured with only
a thin piece of thread. So here's what you do.
You apply a coat or two of clear nail polish
over the thread and the button. Now the thread won't
frey or get dirty. Just be careful not to get
any polish on the fabric or if you're like me
and took sewing class in the sixth grade.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
So that's back on Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
But all Mario Lopez here. Today we're celebrating National Mimosa Day.
I'm not gonna lie. I like me and Mimosa. It's
a brunch move. It's a good daytime move with spring
here and somewhere around the corner.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
It's a different kind of drunk though.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Yeah, you don't really want to get drunk. You just
you can get like a slight buzz with my moses.
But with food they go nice. What al Mario Lopez here.
Today's guest just kicked off season nine of her TLC show,
It is Doctor Pimple Popper. Sandra Lee got to ask
her if there's ever been a patient that couldn't be
shown on TV doctor Lee's gonna join us. It's up

(04:17):
al Mario Lopez don't even know on zoom from TLC's
Doctor Pimple Popper. It's doctor Sandra Lee. Welcome to the show.
How are you. I'm very well. How are you?

Speaker 4 (04:26):
I'm well.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
We're friendly because we appear together often on my other show,
Access Daily. Thank you for taking the time to join
us here. You are currently in season nine of the
show That is a lot of pimples? Lie it is,
I will tell you. Congratulations. Why are people so fascinated
with your line of work? Is it because a lot

(04:47):
of people deal with pimples acne and it's just something
there's something satisfying. You can't peel your eyes away from
it sort of deal.

Speaker 6 (04:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (04:55):
Yeah, I think what it comes down to, what all
boils down to, is it makes people happy. It makes
people happy, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
To see some people like to squeeze.

Speaker 7 (05:06):
Some people like to see people's lives maybe get better
because it's some giant thing that they had removed. Sure,
it's like having something negative and having that energy go away.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
So has there ever been a patient that was too
extreme for the cameras, like it was gonna be too crazy?

Speaker 7 (05:22):
Yeah? I think that there certainly are things that are
very complicated. There are much more than what we can
do in the office setting, you know, like under local anesthesia.
Most of the things I do under local not general there,
and they might require a big team. I mean, I'm
not doing like a transplant or anything like that. You know,
we're not doing any any kind of some of these
really big cases. And there are people that have skin

(05:43):
conditions that I have to say, you know, this needs
to be done in a hospital setting under general anesthesia
and the team of people. So you know, we try
to set them up with somebody, but they may not
be for the show.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Got it all?

Speaker 7 (05:54):
Right?

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Well, we got to take a little break, but there's
more I want to talk about. So we're going to
be back with doctor pible Popper in just a moment.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
More Mario Lopez on the way.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Mario Lopez here with doctor Pimple Popp or Sandra Lee. Now,
aside from the extreme skin conditions that you have to
deal with, how does it get to that point? Because
sometimes I'll watch and I'll be like, how did it
get to that point? Did you not feel that it
leads a couple of months ago? Like, seriously, you got
to use a scalpel.

Speaker 7 (06:21):
Yeah, I mean, I think this is the question I
get more than any other question. And you know, you
have to realize you have to first of all, I
get it. And I never try to show. Never have
a patient feel bad for how long it took them,
because a lot of times it could be decades before
they come in. But you know, they're scared to see
a doctor.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
They decades decades. That's crazy, doesn't it hurt?

Speaker 7 (06:42):
Well, it gets away from you if it's on your
back and you don't really see it, you know, you don't.
You try to think, you're trying to have to think
about it. You could grow and then all of a
sudden you're like, it's a basketball behind that.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Right exactly. That's wild. That is so wild. Well, you
can watch Doctor pimble Popper Wednesdays on TLC More Music.
What Amrio Lopez here? My guest today is Sandra Lee
aka Doctor pimple Popper. And you've also got a skincare
line s l M D Summers around the corner. Of course,
what skincare tips do we need to be reminded about?

(07:13):
Sunscreens obviously got to be number one.

Speaker 7 (07:15):
Right of course, Yes, And I think we're trying to
get our skin into really great shape now, right because
we're gonna be showing some more skin, you know, literally,
so you really want to try to, you know, even
out your complexion, you want to try to get it
in its tip top shape, just like you're preparing like
your car for Formula one or something like that. I mean,
you want it like in tip top shape, right. So,
like if you have carotosis pilais the little bumps that

(07:36):
are on the arm that are real common, you want
to use some good exfoliation to try to get that
bumpiness down, really try to. I think a good full
body exfoliation is always good because get all that dull
dead skin cells. Sunscreen of course, like you say, and
stock up on that. And just a smile always makes
us look younger too.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
I agree. All right, let's play more music. Al Mario
Lopez got Doctor Pimple opera Sande Lee on zoom with me.
And is there a certain case that sticks out in
your mind, like, wow, that was next level?

Speaker 6 (08:07):
Yes, for sure.

Speaker 7 (08:08):
There's a guy who his name's Leonard, and he had
he called it a chip on his shoulder, but it
was like, literally, kid, you not it was like an
extra arm that he like an extra shoulder that he
had lopped off. And so it was like an extra
appendage that would pop up and down.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
What and what was it? Doc? What was it?

Speaker 7 (08:26):
It was a like poma. It was a growth that
that like he was trying to get rid of it
almost himself, and it like kind of opened up on
the edge, got with the skin.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Got Really is that a bacteria build up though?

Speaker 7 (08:37):
Or no, it's just a growth that got bigger and
bigger and grow.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
So it's not just pimples all the time they could be.

Speaker 7 (08:45):
It's called the lip poma, which is just a collection
of fat cells of your own fat Like, got it
a lot and weight it's not going to gain.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Are those painful or it's just an uncomfortable growth?

Speaker 8 (08:57):
There are only.

Speaker 7 (08:58):
Mainly painful in the sense that I feel like sitting
on a racketball all the time, sitting on like a bull.
You know, that's how uncomfortable that would be.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Got it And then and he was fine, you took
that off.

Speaker 7 (09:08):
And yeah, but even yesterday, yesterday I had this this
elderly gentleman who couldn't speak English farewell, and I just
he started crying and as I was removing a cyst
on his forehead on a scalp, and he just started
crying and he was he was crying because he was
so happy that somebody finally is removing this, Like, yeah,
he's such a stoic guy, you know, this tough guy,

(09:31):
and for him to break down like that, it really
it really makes you realize what kind of effect you're
having on people. And people hide how much it bothers
them of course, and you know, we think, wow, how
did you live with that? Why would you? But they
don't want it. They would do anything they can to
do something about it, but they just didn't know what
to do or how to do it, or we're scared

(09:51):
to do it.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Well, you can watch Doctor Pimple Popper Wednesdays on TLC.
I'm gonna wrap it up with the doctor. Coming up next.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Mario Lopez returns after this.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
But amar A Lopez here, we're wrapping things up with
Doctor pimple Popper. Sandra Leie. Now, my oldest is a
preteen probably some acne in or future. How should mom
and I treat breakouts?

Speaker 8 (10:13):
Uh?

Speaker 7 (10:14):
You you know what's interesting about kids and it all
depends it's a kid by kid basis, but I think
a lot of times they're embarrassed to bring it up
to you. So it's nice when you do bring it
up in a very in a way that you know,
everybody knows that like kids get acne, and that there
are things out there. Maybe get over the counter products
out there, you know that are for specifically for acne.

(10:34):
Just say, hey, wash your face with this. Don't go
too crazy, you don't need to think about it too much,
but at least have some some products that are medicated
to help minimize acne breakouts, because it's probably gonna happen,
and it starts off slow usually, and then all of
a sudden you might have some real, real acne bumps.
If you start with some over the counter products and
you feel like it might be time to see a dermatologist,

(10:54):
it might take you a few months to get there,
so at least you have something to start with, you know,
before you see a dermatologist, and maybe you won't need
us in the office, maybe you won't need a prescription medication,
but at least you have that option too. There are
great treatments for acne. And the thing is I tell
people remind people is yes, you do want to treat
your acne because yes, it doesn't threaten your life, but
it affects us in so many ways. Right, Like you

(11:16):
had bad acne when your kid, you remember how you
felt and you don't want your kids to feel that
way either.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
No. Absolutely, and if you mess with it, a good
scar and all.

Speaker 7 (11:24):
That stuff, right, that's what's bad about.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
It, right, Great stuff, Doctor Lee. Always nice to talk
to you. Listen watch Doctor pimple Popper Wednesdays on TLC.
Thanks for hanging out. I'm sure I'll see you soon.

Speaker 6 (11:36):
Yes later. Take it by.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Oil Courtney Lopez. You're a quick reminder for you that
you can leave us a message through the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Look for the talk back button at the bottom of
your screen instantly send us a request or chime on
something we're talking about. I think we have one here
from Jose in La Hi.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Is that it?

Speaker 4 (12:08):
Maybe he take his finger off the button or something?

Speaker 3 (12:10):
Hi, Jose, I like those though he did it.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
Jose is a man of few words, but you know
what we appreciate hearing from yet. Find the talk back
button at the bottom of your Hurt Radio app. Jeryl
Mario Lopez got some celebtis turning a year older. I'm
gonna try to guess the ages.

Speaker 5 (12:25):
Megan Fox from Transformers and Machine Gun Kelly's I think.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
They're still together. Uh, maybe they split.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Megan, I'm gonna say, is hitting the fourth level forty
thirty seven thirty seven thirty seven.

Speaker 5 (12:38):
Tory Spelling a girl you went on a date with
and lost your car universal when you went to see
a movie. She was also in Beverly Hills nine O
two one O wow. Uh, Tory is hitting the fifth
level fifty fifty is crazy? Okay, couldn't find your car,
but you knew her age. Janet Jackson, Miss Jackson, If

(12:58):
you're nasty, I am nasty. So I think my girl
is sixty one fifty seven? Oh wown only fifty one?
I kind of thought she was in her sixties. Two wow,
because she's been around for Soul exactly. And wow, that's impressive. Finally,
Danny Trejo, who may have the longest film resume on IMDb.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
He doesn't even know the movies he's in. That's what's wild.
My guy, I believe is seventy two seventy nine?

Speaker 4 (13:24):
What seventy nine seventy nine?

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Him at de Niro, same age, yep, look at that.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
More Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 2 (13:32):
What O Mario Lopez?

Speaker 7 (13:33):
Here?

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Today's lesson of music history is about the one hit
wonder who got her start on an Australian soap opera.
I'm gonna share with you next ol Mario Lopez and
on this day in history twenty five years ago. At
nineteen ninety eight, this became the biggest song in the country.

Speaker 8 (13:51):
Say you can sing naked on the store, sat Awake,
Thanks guys.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
You Natalie Imbruglia with tor And that was from her
debut album, which sold seven million copies. Man, that was
all over the radio. I remember, Mario Lopez. Let's get
your tweets. What do we got?

Speaker 5 (14:23):
This is from at sv wits. Mario Lopez has such
an awesome musical family.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
What happened to him?

Speaker 2 (14:29):
You're right, sv wit, I'm the least talented in the
h in the family there. Thanks a lot. You played drums,
Thanks a lot. I can play drums, and I can
move a little bit. And you know, a contrary to
what my wife and kids say, I feel I can't
carry a tune. They just like to bust my charts.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
Get us up on Twitter On with Mario and hang
on more Mario Lopez on the way.

Speaker 7 (14:51):
What all?

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Mario Lopez here with a quick reminder about this week's
sweep stakes. Here's what we're giving away, a trip for
two to Vegas round trip covered two nights at the
Wind and we're gonna get you two tickets to see
comedians of Bastro Maniscalco. Only one way to enter. Head
over and on with Mario dot com. Mario Courtney Lopez Here,
let's put a spotlight on my wife. It's time for
Courtney's random thought. What you got?

Speaker 3 (15:12):
Have you ever realized that when you clean out a
vacuum cleaner, you actually become a vacuum cleaner?

Speaker 2 (15:19):
Ooh, you know what. That's good. I'm good, that's good.
Right there. You're going deep on me, but I can
appreciate it. And yes, there's nothing like that sound when
you pick up some good dirt from the vacum cleaner.
That's the best feeling ever. No, Maria Courtney Lopez, not
for pop quiz today. It is a vocabulary test. Oh honey,

(15:43):
We're going to see who knows the definition of these
words that are related to toxic relationships.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
Gas Lighting, Corney.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
Gas Lighting is when you purposely start something and then
walk away from it like you light it on fire,
your gas lighting. Thank you?

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Pretty good, honey, pretty good. That's essentially it. You're sort
of creating something and making it a bigger deal and
feeding fire to it. Yeah, blow it out.

Speaker 5 (16:08):
Of lying or denying something is true even in the
face of proof.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Okay, we both kept points. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
Love bombing.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
Love bombing is when someone is in love with someone.
You know it, like I knew you were in love
with this one girl, But I calm and just throw
monkey wrench and try to interfere to bomb and explode
that whole love trying. Let me get mine, let me
get it out, missus Lopez.

Speaker 4 (16:34):
You're headed down the wrong road. So I was comitted, though.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
Love bomb is when you throw the love word down
way too fast, your love bombing.

Speaker 5 (16:44):
Too much, too fast, manipulating by showering with gifts and
public displays of affection.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
What's good, honey, that's not kind of like my definition.
Better throw a monkey wrench fashion monkey rinch bomb would
be better.

Speaker 4 (16:57):
Your next one, Gray walling, gray walling.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
Gray walling, Masa, Oh my god, where.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
Did that come from? Happening?

Speaker 2 (17:07):
Masa, You're no longer married.

Speaker 5 (17:08):
Okay, all right, so someone's single, I don't know where
using your maiden name when calling out your name.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
Gray walling is when you are not giving specific information.
You're not being completely honest. You are just like the
gray area.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
You know you're gray Wall.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
Would you like to take a shot at it over there?

Speaker 2 (17:29):
Yes? I believe gray walling is when someone's been pursuing
you and you're sort of stalling on giving him an information,
leaving him in the gray.

Speaker 5 (17:39):
It's being disengaging or unresponsive. I was trying to be
boring to make someone lose interest, just like I have
in this segment.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Nothing exactly what I had the essence of all these yes,
I did, I have a winner?

Speaker 4 (17:53):
You both get cross.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
More.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Mario Lopez coming up, Mario Courtney low As here finally
have a release date for that evil, lo and gory
movie about the creator of flaming Hot Cheetos. It's called
Flame and Hot.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
Wait, she's still making that. I thought the whole story
ended up being false.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
There was a little controversy, and we'll see how it's
received when it's finally dropped, which will be on Disney
Plus and Hulu on June ninth.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
Nice if it's the first time a film has premiered
on both platforms at the same time, and critics are
saying it's kind of kind of has a similar vibe
as Rocky, So you have my attention.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
Absolutely, ran on. Good luck to her. I'll write more
music now, Luia Lopez here with my wife Courtney. The
success of Cocaine Bear is already spawning imitators, coming soon
from the producers of Sharknado, Attack of the Meth Gator.
The wild thing about both of these movies is that
they're actually based on true stories. The Bear eight like

(18:49):
fifteen million dollars worth of cocaine contraband, I should say,
and evidently so did this Gator.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
We get your eight fifteen dollars worth of meth.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Which it equals about fifteen million dollar. No, that is
wild that they're true. And now you know you have
to see the movie Cocaine Bear Versus Meth Gator, just
like King Kong and versus God.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
So it'll ultimately be a trilogy.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
Yeah, you tell me, we're going to see me Math Gator.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
I'll stay awake, right, you have to wow, all right,
more music now, you're all of Mario Courtney Lopez. Time
for one last thing. America has a favorite new dog.
For the first time in thirty one years, the French
bulldog unseats the Labrador Retriever as the number one breed
in America. They had a remarkable rise. They were number

(19:38):
fifteen and shot all the way to number one. And
the articles sort of because we have a couple Frenchies
and we've had a few now is sort of a
bittersweet to read because it talks about a lot of
their issues that they may have and people are trying
to cross breathe them and what have you, and all
the thefts. They're the most stolen dog in all of America.

(19:59):
Lady Gagaz dog was probably the most famous. But here
in La they're constantly getting dog napped.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
Don't come after mine.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
I will literally kill you.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
Yes, I will shoot.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
You, yes, yes. But you know what, they are a
great little dog. They're like comical, they're friendly, they're adorable,
but they're still kind of tough if a guy wants some.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
We discovered it when we were looking.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
We were ahead of the curve, by the way, we
were way ahead of this curve.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
We just liked it because it was like because we
wanted a small, packed pit bully cool. It wasn't like
a purse dog, but it was.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
It's exactly you could satisfy the guy in the girl,
especially with a couple. That's what we got it. They
looked like a little mini pit bull that was kind
of tough, but it was still kind of portable, and
you can you can pick them up.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
To a certain extent. It's like a stuffed sausage.

Speaker 5 (20:41):
They don't bend it like this doesn't shock me because
my dog, which is not a French bull dog, but
when she was gonna have puppies a couple years or
a year ago, whenever it was, I had to take
her to a specialty vet to get like an ultrasound,
so I knew how many.

Speaker 4 (20:55):
Puppies to expect.

Speaker 5 (20:56):
Every other dog there was a French bull dog that's
wild every other time.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
They're not exactly inexpensive right there, but shout out to
the Frenchies.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
On with Mario Lopez returns.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
After this all right, time for me to punch out big.
Thanks to Sander Lee for hanging out today. I will
