(00:49):
like a Pirate song. Yeah exactly, Yes, Oh May that
was good. That was to insulted. It just made me
think Pirates.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
I'm not been a fan of their last two songs.
Hmm the Bang or whatever that is. Another key track
is called I Won't put.
Speaker 3 (01:06):

Amazon debuts Double seven Road to a Million, an amazing
race type of competition with the James Bond theme.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
So random, okay.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Netflix premieres at the moment, Martini. Netflix premiere is at
the moment. Ten different stories of human connections and intersecting lives,
all centered around the production of a reality dating show.
I think I have to read that again because I
uite didn't a stand that Ten different stories of human
connections and intersecting lives, all centered around the production of
(02:06):
a reality dating show.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
I'm assuming it's scripted. I think it is, yes, okay.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Paramount Plus has the Curse. Nathan Fielder and Emma Stone
are filming a renovation show and trying to conceive when
they are seemingly cursed.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
For a second, I thought that was a reality show,
but it's actually a scripted show about a reality show.
That's an inception.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Yes, what aw?
Speaker 1 (02:29):

(02:50):
tunes in a moment. First, got some birthdays and want
to give the shout outs. Let's try to guess the agents. Diplow,
who is a DJ. We talked about the other day
how hard this is. We just saw him at the
U two concert.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Mm hmm. We talked about how all the other DJs
are like one hundred years old.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
I didn't mention this, by the way. He hit me
up that night. He goes, hey, man, come see me
performance and I'm gonna be at Excess. I said, cool,
what time you What time you're going on because you
don't probably get there about two thirty go on, about three,
I said, am, He's all, yeah, I'm going tomorrow afternoon.
I said, bro. I said, bro, I'm gonna tell you
right now.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
I can't that's not what you told them. What you
blame everything on me?
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Yeah? No, I get I'm gonna I'm gonna tell you
right now, my wife's not gonna go over that he
hit anyway. He I mean, he looked me in dead
in the eye and said, I'm gonna get there about
two thirty go on about three, dead in the eye,
like I would consider. I didn't even know how to
like process that. Bro, I'm fifty.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yeah, I just but then I'm a cool life and
I go, you can go yeah, no, yeah, i'd rather
and he's like, no, are you He looked me dead
in the eye and said that that was the funniest.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
I forgot to mention it doesn't that sound awful? I
can't even bathom that right now. That's the worst thing
in the world. How is he anyway?
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Diplow, God, I we just saw him. I actually saw
what he looked like. He has to be thirty eight.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
I'm gonna say heat one. I'm gonna say forty one,
forty five, Okay, we can diplow hanging out so late
at forty s at three am and then quickly Ellen
Pompeo in Gray's Anatomy. She's Meredith Gray, right, Yes, that's
that's okay. I'm gonna say she uh forty eight fifty
two fifty four, okay, Tracy Morgan, Tracy is fifty six
(04:32):
fifty two fifty five four. Mario Lopez coming up, Mario
Courtney Lopez here with more music in the mix. But
for some quick buzz People Magazine, it's crowned this year's
Sexiest Man Alive, and it's blonde boy Ronald Miller Patrick Dempsey. Yes,
of course, who oh my gosh. Well, you may know
(04:54):
him as mcgeamy's anatomy, but to me, he'll always be
Ronald Miller, the long boy from Can't Buy Me Love,
when he was trying to vie for Cindy Mancini's love,
and he rented her to pretend to be his girlfriend.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Rent a girl.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Yeah, A few things that I like about this one.
He was a nerd when he was, or at least
he played this nerd, but he was nerdy looking. And
he's one of those dudes that got better looking as
he got older. I'll that sort of George Clooney. Two.
My guy's got a great wig, like fantastic wig, and
it looks just as cool as he's older, and he's
got a little salt and pepper action going on. In three,
(05:34):
he's fifty seven years old, so you could still be
in your fifties and sexy and he's killing it. So
I love this choice. You're got toney my thoughts.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
No, I'm very happy with this, very happy. It's actually
one of the first times in years I didn't go
really exactly.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Exactly what amar Corney Lopez. Here, Mariah Carey trying now
do Santa this year. She's already about to kick off
her Christmas tour.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Now. She says she could be giving us with a
new album you Guys in twenty twenty four. Hey, apparently
she's already ten songs deep. Her latest album was Caution
in twenty eighteen. I don't really remember.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
I think she had a couple I think she had
a couple cuts that were hot, So I'm like, yo, right, yes, yeah, Now,
Mariah really don't miss too much, so I'm looking forward
to that. All right, let's get back to music. We
got more music on the way, but now time for
must see movies with Mario Courtney Lopez. Let's take a
look of what's new in theaters and streaming this weekend.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
The Marvels It's in theaters. Brie Larson's Captain Marvel is
back to defend the Earth from a new threat. Ooh okay,
it's a wonderful knife in theaters. I love that play
on words. A year after saving a town from a
psychotic killer on Christmas Eve, when he discovers what life
would be like without her. I would watch this just
(06:53):
because of the title.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
It is a clever title. I believe it's Justin Long
who's the star of this? So I like that.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
The Killer on Netflix. After a faithful near miss, an
assassin must turn on his employers in an international manhunt.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Oh on, an assassin goes rogue. It's always good.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
The Holdovers, It's in theaters. Paul Giamatti plays a universally
disliked teacher at a prep school. I could see that.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
I could totally see that. Nails it already. I can
tell you more. Mario Lopez on the way, Mario Courtney
Lopez here got more music after some quick buzz. Happy
to hear Kel Mitchell is back home after being hospitalized
for some mystery condition. Kel says he was genuinely frightened
about the ordeal. No word yet on what exactly sent
him to the emergency room.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Wow, well that's scary. But meanwhile, good Burger too comes
to Paramount Plus. On the twenty second.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Nice we out Mario and Courtney Lopez and it's definitely
going to be an unforgettable holiday season for Ashley Benson
from Pretty Little Liars. Not only is she announcing that
she's pregnant, she also just got hitched tour fiance Brandon Davis.
Speaker 4 (07:57):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
I've actually known Brandon Davis for a long time.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
We were just with his mom, right, is that his mom?
Speaker 1 (08:04):
That is his oil guy, his grandfather. It might be
his great grandfather, but I think it is an oil
air and he was a big part here. Yeah, him
and his brother. He used to be on TMZ all
the time, all the Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
The two started dating in January, but have been in
the same social circles for years, so they've known each other.
So that's that's that's sweet.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Congrats Jlmaro, Courtney Lopez. We want to give you a
head start on your holiday shopping, so let's take a
look at some good gift ideas were dad this year.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
We got some Apple wireless over the ear headphones earbuds
are out, people over the ear are in. I think
they're more comfortable.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
I also think you probably won't lose in this office, right.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Yes, I know my ear hole is very tiny, so
things stop fit. A fifteen and one multi tool knife
has everything from a screwdriver.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
To a bottle opener coming very handy.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
And Lego's The Rise of Skywalker Millennium Falcom Starship. If
dad is a.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Star wars nerd I believe our son has this.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
And a Thera gun, Minnie, a massage gun that is
ultra portable. Don't tell our daughter she has been bringing
the Thera gun in the car every morning on the
way to school.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
That's mine, by the way. That's why you can tell
she's got her self care. I can't. I try to
kiss her to say good night, and she says, no, Dad,
I've got my self care. I go, Okay, Daddy's girls,
I got my self care. I did my self care.
What more? Mario Lopez coming up? What on? Mario Courtney Lopez?
(09:41):
You're grabbing nominations. We're announced this morning. Looks like Taylor's
gonna go for her fourth Album of the Year title.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
Okay, you can see everyone who is nominated over it
on with Mario dot Com.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
All right, let's get back to music, Mario Courtney Lopez here,
got a few more songs in the mix, and then
we're going to get to today's guest.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
It is Jerry Hallowell, although you may know her better
as Ginger Spice everybody. She has written a new book
and it sounds like it could be the next Harry Potter.
We'll find out all about it next.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
What's upon Mario Lopez joining me now on Zoom Author
and og Spice Girl, Jerry Hallowell Horner, Welcome to the show.
Jerry's nice to see you again, and you and you thank.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
You getting regular, aren't we?
Speaker 1 (10:35):
I love it, I love her. We're becoming quite chummy.
Congratulations on your new book, Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen.
For those not familiar, please tell us about it.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
Well, that's all I want to say.
Speaker 5 (10:47):
Thank you so much to all the amazing American people
out there that have been so welcoming and brilliant and
embracing me and her, so I'm truly grateful.
Speaker 4 (10:59):
It's been an epic So thank you.
Speaker 5 (11:01):
And for those who don't know about her, Rosie Frost,
She's like a new hero, an ordinary hero, someone that's
not perfect, and it's about finding the courage you never
knew had. It's a big adventure flooded with history conservation.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
But it's quite It's for every age. It's for every age,
so check it out.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
I read you've been working on it for about nine years.
Speaker 5 (11:29):
What well, I would say seven and now the time
I gave it to the publisher and then they have
to do all their bits and bobs on it.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Well, you can find Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen
wherever you get your books sold on. I got to
take a break. Then we're gonna have more with Jerry Hallowan.
Mario Lopez returns after this. What a Mario Lopez. My
guest today is Jerry Hollowell. Her new book is called
Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen. So did you base
these characters on people in your life or did you
find inspiration elsewhere?
Speaker 5 (11:55):
Well, everything is copy right, so certain things I think, Ah,
and what it's like being a magician or a chef.
Speaker 4 (12:04):
So I think I take a bit of you. You
might you might make Rosie number two.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
Right, I love it.
Speaker 4 (12:11):
I think there should be a little bit of Loper
than there.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
We go, right, Okay, yeah, I think any fair and.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
What you do is you take a bit of that
person that person and mix them together. I do that.
Speaker 5 (12:21):
But then there's certain scenes that you know that I've
experienced myself. For example, the opening scene of Rosie, like,
so she loses her her mother, right, and this story
is quite a very modern day story in the sense
it's not airbrushed, so you experience the feelings that she
has in a very real way.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
So it's quite a page turner.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Sounds like it. Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen is
available everywhere. Right now, let's place more music. Mario Lopez
rapping things up. What today's guest Jerry halliwell, and you
have how many? Now?
Speaker 4 (12:58):
Well three?
Speaker 1 (12:58):
You've got three? What are the ages?
Speaker 4 (13:01):
Okay? Got seventeen year old okay, Loue Bell.
Speaker 5 (13:05):
And then I've got my stepdaughter, she's Olivia, Okay, she's ten.
And then I've got Monty who's six, my son. And yeah,
so we're in England at the moment I was meant
to do the bedtime. Sorry, it was quite cross.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
You've got kids, haven't you?
Speaker 1 (13:22):
Are?
Speaker 4 (13:22):
They quite like specific about what they want at bedtime.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
Yes, my thirteen year daughter wants to be left alone.
And both of my boys want my wife to stay
with them in their beds and they battle over her,
which is fine. I get to have my own bed
to myself. Okay, she deals with it.
Speaker 4 (13:39):
Thirteen year old daughter called.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
Her name is Gia.
Speaker 5 (13:42):
Gia, so Gia would enjoy Rosie Frost. She's thirteen and
she loves to read the Age of Power. Yeah, you
could read it because my husband read it, but Gia
can read it, and then you'd have something in common.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
I like that.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Well, I need many things to have in common with
her because she's at the age right now.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
You got that age getting a bit spiky.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
Yes, exactly, her own power. Exactly. You've been there, you
know what I'm talking about. Soy, such a pleasure to
talk to you, and I appreciate you taking the time.
And everyone listen. Go buy Rosie Frost in the Falcon
Queen wherever you get books. Jerry, thanks so much for
hanging out.
Speaker 4 (14:18):
Thank you so much, and once again I want to
say thank you to America. You've been amazing, amazing to me,
So thank you.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
That's awesome. I hope I get to see you get
in person.
Speaker 4 (14:29):
Okay, mych law, thank you, bye bye bye.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
You're a full interview now at On with Mario dot Com.
More Mario Lopez on the Way, Mario Courtney Lopez here
to count down at Christmas is on forty five days left.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
Meanwhile, we've got something to celebrate today.
Speaker 5 (14:44):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Two hundred and seventy five days to your fifty first birthday?
Just kidding? It is National Area code day hashtag for
one two.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
Oh hashtag six one nine from growing up. But you
know what, when I was growing up, six one nine
was all of San Diego. Now it's got like five
different area counts. Isn't that why?
Speaker 3 (15:07):
The same they happened in Georgia, Like there was one
that just seemed to take the whole state and at
a certain point there's like twenty Yeah, exactly, that's wild.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
What al Mario Lopez here in my annual I Heart
Radio Holiday special is back because the fourth here Now
it's becoming a Christmas radio tradition. Got Megan Trainer, Rob
Thomas pat Monaghan from Train and More talking about our
favorite parts of the season. It's all going down November
twenty second. Just go to onlmar dot com for more info.
Almaro Cordey Lopez is put the music on pause because
(15:37):
it's time for a fake debate on with Mario Lopez
presents the fake debate. Topics are made up on the spot,
but the passion is real. Who is pro and who
is continent? Who's pro lested? I don't remember. Actually I
believe I was right.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
I think you were all right.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
So you'll be conn courdy, will be pro. Okay, my
fifteen seconds to make your case, ten second rebuttal afterwards.
Your topic today is using your spouse Elo is an
excuse to not see Diplo start a two am DJ set.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
You never want to hurt anybody's feelings, but when you
don't want to act like you're the elderly person that
you have become, you put the blame on other people.
And I'm totally for that. That's why you get married,
mister Lopez.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
If you're not man enough to take it on the
chin and you got to use your spouse as an excuse,
that's just a shallow individual. By the way, two Am,
I could have worked with Dipplo actually hit me with
why don't you meet me? At two thirty I go
on at three. That was what the wild part was,
mister Lopez.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
I love that you're making excuses for the invite. However,
you get married and you become one, so whatever you do,
that's the extension of the other person.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
Thank you, mister Lopes.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
All the reason that you should not ever dishonor your
significant other's name. A man needs to man up. Let's
know you think on on Twitter, get us up on Twitter,
on with Mario and hang on more Mario Lopez. On
the way, Courtney Lopez, you're a little lesson in music
(17:11):
history is coming up. It's about the last artist to
have a number one song in movie at the same time.
I'm gonna reveal it next more music in the mix.
You're on Mario Courtney Lopez. But first on this day
twenty one years ago. In two thousand and two, this
was the biggest song in the country. Legion one shot
(17:34):
that it's a chance to blow this opportunity for the
light time that of course Lose Yourself by Eminem eight
Mile was the biggest film in the box office, making
Eminem the first artist since Prince to have a number
one song and movie at the same time. His was
when doves cry in Purple rain. You know who the
last female was to do that?
Speaker 2 (17:57):
Mariah and Glitter, No, j Lo and Jeelie.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
Jennifer Lopez is the correct answer. She had wedding planner,
and I believe it was I'm real with joh Rule.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
I remember that that song, Oh that takes me back
to college. E Zom the way you walk?
Speaker 5 (18:16):
That was in the movie.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
That was in the movie.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
No, it just she happened to have number one side,
doesn't he had it from the same movie. She just
happened at one.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
Well, it's crazy because Lose Yourself is now back on
the radio and our kids are singing it.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
Yeah, you're all with morew Courtney Lopez. Before we head
off of the weekend, we're gonna give you the fine
word with our tweet week What is it?
Speaker 2 (18:39):
This is from at Abby has issues? Don't we all? Abby?
Me at home? Why isn't there more kindness in the world? Meanwhile, driving,
I hate every single person on the planet.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
Abby has issues must be from La. Yeah, are you
in my head? Based for that, Based on that driving comment,
I think La actually came in number one for worst
city to drive in before New York in America. Yes,
it continues to get worse.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
I don't know. I've driven in New York for many years.
No comparison, Well.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
The the here is where I would say it's different
New York. There's you're not covering as much. If you've
got to go from let's say Bourbank to Santa Monica,
it's really not that far mile wise, No, but it
could take you two hours. Yeah, that's what I think
is so frustrating. New York doesn't cover as much land,
so you're kind you're stuck, but you're not covering as
much as that may.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Because you can only in two hours, you only move
two blocks.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
I just traffic at all hours. Yeah, it can't matter
what time is. It can be Sunday at eleven pm
and there will be a traffic jam.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
The one thing I tell the kids every single morning
when I take them to school. There are mornings where
I zoom right there, don't spend any time at the light.
Then there are mornings I could be at the light
for three red lights and it takes me almost twenty
minutes and they're late, but there's no rhyme or reason.
That's what's crazy.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Want to be the tweet of the week. The tweet
us on with Mario and hang on because Mario Lopez.
We'll be right back it. Safros punch out full steam
ahead into the weekend, but we're gonna be back on
Monday with baseball like con Alex Rodriguez.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
Plus all the latest Hollywood buzz. Until then, this is
Mario and Courtney Lopez saying good night
Speaker 1 (20:23):
With Mario Lopez.
