Lots to get to, including a new life hack and
all the latest Hollywood buzz. But right now, let's keep
the music going. You were on with Mario and Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
What's up your all?

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Mario, Courtney Lopez and Honey, you wanted to inquire about
some parenting advice, right?

Speaker 2 (00:32):
What is it?

Speaker 5 (00:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (00:33):
I just wanted to know if I handled this correctly.
So our kids are in tons of activities after school,
and some of them they do privates, which are scheduled
kind of like by a week by week basis. It's
not it's kind of yeah, like some of them are
and some of them aren't. So I get a text
from this one teacher saying, hey, I'm here waiting, and

(00:56):
I was not aware of a private that day. So
I responded and said, I'm so sorry I was not
aware of today, and she said well, your daughter said
it was okay yesterday when I asked her, and I said,
I apologize again, I was not aware. Please text me
next time to confirm that we are having a private
because she doesn't know my schedule. I mean, I might

(01:18):
not be able to get Gia there.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
That to me, stop you right there.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
That teachers one hundred percent at fault. You can't be
making plans with a child, right She's still a child.
She's not driving herself there. She doesn't know what the
parents have committed to our ready, but I didn't even
know what she has committed exactly. That's that's that's notice.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
I really like she is very mature. I get it, but.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
She's also twelve.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
She's twelve, you got too the drive.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
The instructor has to check in with a parent always,
no no excuses.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
That's on her.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
I really like this instructor too, and I know her personality.
And Gia said she was saying stuff to her the
whole time she was there, but she had just shrugged
it off. But I told Gia, I go, it's not
your fault. You're the child. Where the adults it's it
should have been between.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Us, absolutely not Look, ge I could have mentioned something,
but at the same time it's still not on her.

Speaker 6 (02:07):
No, tell Mario what do you think? On Twitter at
On with Mario More Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
On the Way Yore on Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Big announcement drop this morning, the twenty twenty three iHeartRadio
Music Festival lineup.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Who we got this here?

Speaker 4 (02:20):
We have Kelly Clarkson, the Foo Fighters, Lenny Kravitz, TLC,
del Cane, Brown, Public Enemies, so many more.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
They do such a.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Great job of mixing in some old school acts, classic acts,
I should say, with the hottest acts of today.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
I already liked this lineup so far.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
It's going down September twenty second and twenty third of
the Tea Mobile in Vegas. You win tickets before they
go on sale, plus airfare and hotel. Get the details
on with Mario dot Com.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
You're on Mario Courtney Lopez. Let's take a look at
what's on TV.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
HBO Premier's Burden of Proof. It's a talk about a
man who is searching for answers about his sister who
has been missing since the late eighties.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Oh, that sounds interesting. You know, we love a doc.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
That's right. History debuts beyond Skinwalker Ranch investigators encounter strange
anomalies and UFOs.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
I'm not a big UFO guy, but okay.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Paramount Plus has Destination European Nights, a docuseries about the
Champions League of European Soccer.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Well, I bet that's you're a Mario Courtney Lopez. What
is the topic today?

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Courtney's corner h chores, chores and having your kids or
your partner chip in.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Oh, you know what that reminds me right off the bat.
We got to start giving these kids more chores. I know,
but they have so many activities.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
It's hard. Fair, Yes, it's very fair. Why yes, put
your clothes in the hamper like that's not a chore,
that's that's.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Just you got to just do that. You have activities?
Do you help with the chores I do? Of cour
What are you talking about? So then they can do
it too? You know what my chores is I pay
the mortgage.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Well, this may be a solution. You put a cleaning
chart on the wall, right down daily, weekly, and monthly tasks,
and when someone finishes a task, they can put their
name in that space and now everyone can see if
there is an unfair division of labor.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
However, I would add something to that. Whoever has their
name most on the chart, they get something, they get something,
so they're from providing a little incentive exactly.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Mario Lopez coming.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Up, Mario Courtney Lopez. Here was some quick buzz.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Disney won't be waiting another thirty years to make another
hocus Pocus movie. They've already greenlit part three.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Wow, and hoping to bring back more OG cast members.
The second movie was one of the most watched original
films for Disney Plus, so we'll.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Go back to the original a little bit more. It
was cute, but there was some think about the first one.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Oh is the first ones are always the best?

Speaker 2 (04:52):
All right, more music?

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Now?

Speaker 2 (04:54):
What about Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Here?

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Remember that yodeling Walmart kid from five years ago?

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Here?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Where'd you go? Sweet Day? He's such a beautiful green
I hadn't like it. All over allows my heartest.

Speaker 3 (05:12):

and he's got a new single, Reasons to Come Home.

you find me?

Speaker 4 (05:30):
This is from at Turn one Mountain Goat and they said,
I thought this would be fun A crack in the floor.
This is not a Gary Busey movie. This is really
a Mario Lopez movie. Although Gary has the best line
when she fires, it's gonna smell like Southern fried chicken.
I don't know if that's what he sounds like.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
It was pretty close. That was pretty close.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
And by the way, I don't remember that epic dialogue,
but that's a classics.

Speaker 6 (05:55):

Mario Courtney Lopez here. Head over to On with Mario
dot com to see the new music video from Halsey
and Sugar from bts.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
It's time for the Diablo for video game soundtrack. It's
pretty dark and moody. Makes sense if you're battling demons.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
I guess aren't we all all right? Were music now
all Mari Courtney Lopez and a Bravo icon is packing.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Of her knives on with Mario Hollywood Buzz.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
So pad Malushmi has been with Top Chef since two
thousand and six. She's been nominated for four Emmys. She
says he's in twenty it's going to be your last.
She will continue doing her Hulu show Tastes the Nation,
but she wants some more time for her books and
other creative pursuits.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Just had her on My show Access a couple weeks ago.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
She also has a daughter, I believe like he's graduating
high school and he's going to be going to college soon.
She loves doing the Taste of the Nation show because
it's a real sort of gorilla style filmmaking, small crew
and they go to all these little hole in the
wall places might.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Kind of yeah anything, and they try.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
All these different foods and learn about the culture and
the people there and all that.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
So yeah, maybe she's just over the big competition.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Twenty seasons. Not too shaty ick couver run more.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
Mario Lopez on the way, Mario Lopez here with my
wife Courtney.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Let's see what's training on the website today.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
Taylor Swift swallows a bug while she's singing on stage.
That's discussed.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Wow, show must go on.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
Our son Nico raps like EM and M.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
By the way, he's got a couple wraps now under
his belt. I have not posted the other ones, but
he's got Godzilla. He's learning a bust of rhymes one
all fast rappers.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
I mean, who is this kid? Kim Kardashian speaks out
about staying quiet during all this Kanye drama.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
She's been getting it on social media with people not
feeling too sympathetic towards her when she said it's hard
raising four kides.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
As a single mom ris every night?

Speaker 4 (08:11):
What do you mean?

Speaker 2 (08:11):
That's right?

Speaker 3 (08:12):
You can see what everyone's talking about it on Mario
dot com.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Mario Courtney Lopez. Here were details of our next I
Heart Radio album release party.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
This time we've got Nile Horran. He's gonna talk about
his new album the show.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
He's gonna play some songs from it and share some
good vibes just going down Friday. You can get all
the details at I'm with Mario dot com.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
Jo Al Mario Courtney Lopez. Time to blow out the
candles on today's birthdays. Let's try to guess he ages
Stacey Keenan for my two dads step by step.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
Oh, my two dads, step by step. Let's take it back.
Remember who this is though, Okay, she is forty eight.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
I'm gonna say we're around that same age. I'm gonna
say she's forty seven. Forty eight is correct. See Paul
Giamatti from Cinderella Man Billions, so many amazing act projects
like incredible Act.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Yeah, father was a former commissioner of Baseball Art Giamatti.
Fun fact, my guy's got to be sixty.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Three, sixty four, fifty six?

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Oh oh wow? Okay, and finally, uh Freddy Krueger himself
Robert Ingland.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
Oh no wait one two? Yeah, it looks painful too.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
You're going Freddy for a long time.

Speaker 4 (09:44):
That scared me when I was little. I'd have to say, yeah, God,
so that was in the eighties.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
I'm gonna go sixty six. Since you're taking so long.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
Well, then I'll say sixty eight seventy four.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Wow, okay, Mario Lopez coming up?

Speaker 3 (10:02):
What a Mario Courtney Lopez here? Today's lesson of music
history is about the soundtrack that sparked the cowboy movement
of the eighties. Oh, I know this answer?

Speaker 2 (10:11):
You know guesses? No, I'm gonna reveal it next, y' all.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
Mario Courtney Lopez and all this day in history forty
three years ago. In nineteen eighty, one of my favorites,
the movie Urban Cowboy, debuts and theaters. A soundtrack included
this number one hit, great song.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
All the Wrongs.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
To start.

Speaker 5 (10:38):
Look great song Looking for Love by Johnny Lee Man Travolta.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
Honestly one of our greatest actors ever. I'm gonna tell
you why because he sparked movements with Saturday Night Fever.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
He sparked the.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
Disco movement and was responsible for all kinds of great
artists in this movie. He sparked the country Western movement
going mainstream. Really, it allowed artists like Kenny Rogers, Dolly
part and Eddi Rabbit to cross over to the mainstream.
And with Grease, he sort of made musicals cool. So
trouble to man, Look who's talking. He made babies talking cool.

(11:22):
There you go, yamar Courtney Lopez and The Rock returning
to Fast and Furious on.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
With Mario Hollywood Buzz.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Well, apparently dollars are thicker than beef.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
The Rock and Vin Diesel have settled their drama and
Dwayne Johnson is returning to the world of Fast and Furious,
which is good because they don't have enough characters. They've
only got like forty eight. He's gonna strow on a
standalone movie as Federal Agent Luke Hobbs. It's going to
take place between Fast X and faxt X Part two.
It'll come out next here. Well, that's a smart business

(11:57):
decision then, because if he stays within the franchise, it
does better for his movie. I also read that when
he does do the Fast movies, he won't be in
any scenes with Vin Diesel, so they worked it out.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Isn't that funny? There's always a way, There's always a way.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Mario Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Here, what unique holiday are we celebrating for June sixth?

Speaker 4 (12:19):
It is National yo Yo Day.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
I love mea yo yo back in the day and
had me a few tricks. Really, Yo Yo's need to
make a big comeback. When need to introduce the kids
to yo yos.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
It's had a ton of yoyo's, but they were too young,
I think to really appreciate the yo yo.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
Because I interho all the time, my weight just goes up.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Mario Courtney Lopez, here was some quick buzz for his
Spider Man, once again, the biggest superhero at the box
office across the Spider Verse raked in one hundred and
twenty and a half million last weekend. That's while considering
it's not even with live actors, it's animated only super Mario,
You're opening this year.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Look at that?

Speaker 4 (13:01):
Look at you. It's because it had your name in it.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
I think so. All right, more music now, amar Courtney Lopez.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
And I took my son Dominic to the jiu Jitsu
World Championships recently ib JJF and man.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
It was really cool to see up close and in person.
I was fortunate enough to be right near the mats
in the front row.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
And these athletes obviously are elite, but it's like splitting
hairs how close these matches are. There really are no
losers because oftentimes no points are scored against each other
and judges determine who.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
The winner is based on what that.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
You have points, then you have penalties, then you have advantages,
and advantages are sort of like you almost got a
point or your effort.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
It's a props. It's like props. It's like props during
what That's exactly what it is. I'm not gonna call
them props anymo. I'm gonna call them advantages. That's exactly
what they are.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
But my point is a lot of most of the
matches not even a point, maybe a pointless scored, but
then it would be an you'd win by an advantage
one zero, an advantage, or someone had a penalty and
there were no advantage in nothing scored.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
That's how close the competition is. That's why. And there
was a guy there was a lesson to be learned.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
There was a guy that ever since he went black belt,
he was sixty to oh, never lost a match. Well,
guess what he lost that day against another guy. And
I told Nico my son, I said, look at that
guy right there. You think he went in facing this
guy who was sixteen oh, questioning himself or saying, this
guy is sixty and oh, I'm happy just to be here. No,
he went to win, and he had the right attitude.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
He ended up winning.

Speaker 3 (14:39):
So don't ever be scared of anyone or underestimate yourself,
because you never know.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Anyone can lose.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Poor Mario Lopez.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
What Amaro Courtney Lopez?

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Here a little more than a week away from this
year as iHeartRadio can't cancel Pride Concert. It is our
fourth year for the event, and we've got Jojo Siwa hosting.

Speaker 4 (14:56):
Plus performances from Adam Lambert, Kesha, Kelsey Balan and so
many more. There's also going to be a bunch of
celebrity drop ins Thursday, June fifteenth on Iheartradios Facebook and
YouTube pages. Okay, let's turn the music girl.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
Mario Lopez and my wife Corny, and our thoughts go
out to my god Danny Bonaducci. I've be wanting to
talk about this. He is recovering from brain surgery yesterday.
He is dealing with a condition that causes buildup of
liquid in the brain. Wow, that's usually caused by trauma
due to blunt force. Fighters deal with it sometimes. I

(15:35):
mean we actually used to spar together back of the day.
I don't know if that's the case with him. He
also used to party very hard, and he's very vocal
about that. Such a nice guy, great, great guy.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
So prayers up for him. We hope for a speedy recovery, yes,
Mario Courtney Lopez, not for one last thing.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
One last day.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Last week marked the eighteenth anniversary of the disappearance of
Natalie Holloway, young lady who is vacationing on spring breakdown
in Aruba and went missing in her body was never found.
One of great mysteries out there right nightmare you're on,
Vanderslute is the fellow who allegedly killed her and didn't

(16:15):
get convicted for her murder, but ironically got convicted for
another murder down in Peru, and he's serving time there.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
He might get extradited.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
Because of some new evidences of that recently surfaced for
Natalie Holloway. Maybe that'll give her parents some closure. But
when I was reading about your on, Vanderslut, I found
it just sort of bizarre. He's been in prison in
Peru and somehow my guy has managed to be married
twice in prison, in prison were there allowed conjugal visits.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
The first wife he.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
Divorced her, which I don't mean to laugh, but how
does that conversation go? He's talking to you, he's in
prison exactly Listen, killed two people.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
I doubt he cares. How that conversation?

Speaker 2 (16:57):
No, but what did she do to me? Kim divorce? Listen,
this isn't working out. I'm sorry. How does that cry?

Speaker 3 (17:02):
And then he gets married yet again? I just find
that fascinating.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
Well, I also, yes, it is fascinating, But I think
what I find even more fascinating are these women that
fall in love with these that fall in love with
these murderers and people who are in prison. It's it's
so weird.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
It is bizarre.

Speaker 4 (17:18):
And we have you put handcuffs on me, but it's
not the same, you.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
Know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
And we have friends that can't even get a call back,
and this guy is getting marriage proposals in prison. I
just think that's fascinating.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
More Mario Lopez coming up.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
All Right, we're out here, but we're back tomorrow with
a new case on the docket at Courtney's Cord, plus
another pop culture pop quiz. Until then, Mario Courtney Lopez
saying good night
