Speaker 2 (00:03):
Here we go, Mario, Courtney Lopez, back of the mix
after a great weekend fun show. Today, our guests is
Scott Eastwood aka Little Nobody from Fast ten. We're going
to get him to share some stories from set.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
Plus we'll get to your tweets.
Speaker 4 (00:16):
But up next, I want to talk to you about
our latest Netflix obsession. You are on with Mario and
Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Yo, Mario, Courtney Lopez, and we just wrapped up watching
Beef on Netflix. It stars Steven June and Ali Wong
and two thumbs up over here at Costa Lopez. We
really enjoyed it. Did not know what to expect going in,
and we hadn't done a show in a while because
we've been on a documentary kick for a while. But
I really liked it.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Oh honey, I really did too.
Speaker 4 (00:44):
You know, like all first episodes you're really not sure,
You're like, uh, but you got to give it a
try and buy the third and one.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Dam We were sucked in.
Speaker 4 (00:51):
We were making dates we'll be in bed by nine
o'clock or watch it.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
We'll lock the door.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
And it's one of those shows that really provoked conversation
at the end where I don't want to give anything away,
but the choices you make really do have consequences that
can affect you the rest of your life. And the ending, Oh,
I don't want to give it away again, but the
ending could be a little bit controversial, that can throw
a monkey wrench and everything. But I'm telling you it
(01:18):
is definitely worth the watch.
Speaker 5 (01:20):
And Steven, you and ali Wan kill it.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
They're great.
Speaker 6 (01:22):
Great.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Tell Mario what do you think? On Twitter? Pet On
with Mario more Mario Lopez on the.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Way Mario Courtney Lopez here. The date is May twenty second.
What holiday are we celebrating today, Honey.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
I really like this day. It is National Solitaire Day.
I'm just gonna sit in my solitude.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
I think they mean the game. You don't play solitaire.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
I like to be by myself.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
I know you make it sound like you hate your family.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
No, no, no, I just I appreciate my alone time
when I get it now because it's so few and
far between.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
You know what, that little lattitude is going to change
when the kids get older and they don't want to
spend as much time with you because they and you
know what, want their dependence as teenagers.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
You're absolutely right. I don't think that will ever happen
with Dominic though o.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
Mario Courtney Lopez. Let's take a look at what's on
TV today.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
AMC has a third and final season of Happy Valley.
The Remains of a murder victim forces Catherine to think
about her own disturbing past.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Oh okay.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
Netflix has season three of The Creature Cases. Sam and
Kit travel around the world solving the Animal Kingdom's many mysteries.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Well, did not know there were mysteries in the Animal Kingdom?
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Are?
Speaker 4 (02:30):
And Apple TV has season two Prehistoric Planet Today, they'll
explore the dinosaurs you would find in the tropical islands.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
That's cool.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
It is really cool. That's something I can watch with
the kids, and they do a good job of recreating it.
No one was there, of course, but I use the imagination. Great,
you're all Mario Courtney Lopez supposed to spotlight on my wife.
It is not for Courtney's random question what you got honey?
Speaker 4 (02:56):
All right, so last week you said you were a
senior at the age of sixteen, and you said it
was a story for another day.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Well, guess what, it's another day. What happened?
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Well, my mom. I think he just wanted to get
me out of the house as quick as possible because
the way my birthday falls being in October, baby, I
should have been a class of ninety two, and I
was always the youngest in my grade. And looking back,
that would have really helped out in wrestling, because these
guys are strong when you get I was pressing a
(03:26):
lot of eighteen year olds at sixteen, and that's a
big difference from sixteen to eighteen. I mean, I guess
you kind of started life a little sooner. Maybe in
that sense you've matured a little quicker. But now, in
looking back, I kind of wish I was I was.
It was not held back by the way just in
the grade that I was supposed to be in.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Sure more Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Yo Lopez here with my wife Cordey. If you miss
Friday's show. Sebastian Man of Scalco was our guest funny guy.
Some of the conversation happened while the music was played,
Like when you talked about acting with Robert de Niro.
Speaker 7 (03:58):
You know de Niro, I think has he's funny without
even speaking. There's moments in this movie where the camera
just pans to him and there's an expression on his
face and you could really tell what he's thinking and
he's not saying anything, and it's funny. So to be
working with that guy, I mean, you know, he's got
some really great comedic movies and you know, meet the
(04:20):
parents and analyze this and that and what have you.
So I knew he was funny, but to see it
on film and I'm, you know, playing opposite of him
was and I learned a lot. I mean, Jesus is
this guy has regarded one of the most you know,
renowned actors of all time. And here I am in
(04:40):
a movie and he's playing my father. Was It was
just it was surreal. At times.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
I was like a fan.
Speaker 7 (04:46):
He's crying in the scene with me, and I'm looking
at him, going he's crying.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
You know.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
I felt like I was watching it at home.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Well, I can't wait to see that movie.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
And you can listen to the entire interview at our
website or on our podcast just search on with Mario What.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
About Mario Courtney Lopez. There was some quick buzz for you.
Here's one nighties show that will not be getting a reboot,
at least not yet. Dawson's Creek. Katie Holmes says the
cast talks about it all the time, but they haven't
found an.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
Idea that works yet.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
She says the show happened just before cell phones and
social media, so it would be completely different today. Did
you watch that show back in the day. I did not,
And they're all like fifty now. I remember they spoke
like they were thirty five years old, and they were
supposed to be sophomores in high spots. The only thing
I kind of vaguely remember from the little bit that
I did see. All right, more music now, jo Mario,
(05:36):
Courtney Lopez. Let's get your tweets.
Speaker 8 (05:38):
What you got?
Speaker 3 (05:39):
This is from at Hellapeno.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
That's a great handle, Hella pene at Yo. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
Okay, So I go to the Dodgers game for the baseball.
I stick around to say selfie's with celebs. What's up,
Mario Lopez?
Speaker 2 (05:53):
What's up? Helipino? I went to the Dodgers game just
the other day. By the way, it still gets pretty
nippy this time of year. Dropped down to fifty eight degrees.
I'm so glad he had. I'm so glad I took
that little sweatshirt. Yes, but yeah, there was. I got
a lot of love that day. A lot of people
asked for some pictures and they were very, very cool.
(06:13):
And it coincidentally happened to be Mexican Heritage Night at
Dodger Stadium, to which I say, it's always Mexican Heritage,
not a Dodger Stadium, because it's nothing but LASA. When
you go to the Dodgers game, which was funny. They
were giving out these ponchos and I didn't get one,
and I'm so mad. I have to go to on
eBay now to try to get it.
Speaker 9 (06:32):
Get us up on Twitter, on with Mario and hang
on more Mario Lopez on the West.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
What up Mario Courtney Lopez here? It's in his lesson
in music History is about the only artist to spend
nineteen weeks straight at number one between two songs. Oooh,
any guesses.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
A babyface?
Speaker 2 (06:51):
All right, well, I'm gonna reveal it next. What up
Mario Courtney Lopez here? And on this day in history
nineteen years ago, in two thousand and four, became the
biggest song in the country.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
May dus.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
The same in yourbody washoes. First of all, I can't
believe this song is almost twenty years old. Vivid memories
about that. That song always sounded like he was talking
about venarial disease. It did, Hey you burn it did.
That's what I hear. That's what I hear. Between that
song and Yeah, which was a big summer banger. Usher
(07:29):
spent nineteen straight weeks and number one Jomar, Courtney Lopez
and Gabriel Union only goes Dutch on.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
With Mario Lopez Hollywood bus.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
So there's had a lot of people talking on social media.
Gabriel Union, who's always in the middle of one controversy
or another, says that when she and her husband go out,
they always split the bill, by the way, not just
to dinner. She mentioned at home everything. A lot of
people found it odd because her husband is Dwayne Wade,
former NBA player who's now part owner of the Utah
(08:00):
Jazz and they both have resources to cover the check.
And look, she was a working actress for a while,
and I guess she just wants to bring what she
can bring to the table. But at some point, I
don't think he's making her. She's choosing this seem to
(08:21):
but it seems unnecessary. But she did say a quote,
and I'm not gossiping because she was very famous for
saying this. I think I know we talked about this.
We talked about this that in her first marriage, she
was a breadwinner, so she felt she had the right
to be unfaithful because she was the one providing the
resources in the relationship, which was cold as.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
Ice and not true.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
So that's not really how it works.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
Yeah, that's not how it works.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
No, I mean, spop you.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
But I'm saying, maybe she's doing this because she doesn't
want to wait to pay her all to give him
the rights. That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
Listen, that's not going to stop somebody from doing what
they're going to do.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
So I agree. And as far as NBA Wives go,
shout out to missus Lebron James. She always carries herself
in a very classy way. She's not trying to be
in any rap videos, reality shows. She's just kind of
like in the wings And she recently did an interview
said look, I'm just supporting my husband being focused on
being a good mom raising good kids, and her kids
are good kids, so props to her.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
Mario Lopez will be right back.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Mario Lopez here my wife Courtney Guardians at the Galaxy
three already in the record books for a unique reason.
Most prosthetics ever in a movie. Wow, that's wild.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
Twenty two thousand, five hundred prosthetics. What five hundred wigs? Oh,
and one hundred and thirty hair pieces. It beats out
the old record holder, How the Grinch stole Christmas?
Speaker 2 (09:46):
I haven't seen the movie yet, but man, that's a
lot of funky characters, right they We're gonna have to
check it out, all right.
Speaker 5 (09:52):
More music now, what.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
A Mario Lopez. Here's a few more songs, and I'm
going to get to today's guest, my man Scott Eastwood.
He's returned to the world of Fast and Furious. We're
gonna get him to share some behind the scenes stories.
Coming up next, it's up Brom Mario Lopez joining me
now on zoom from Fast ten. My man Scott Eastwood,
Welcome back to the show, buddy.
Speaker 6 (10:20):
How are you hold on?
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Brother?
Speaker 6 (10:22):
So?
Speaker 2 (10:23):
I was following you on social and Rome looked awesome.
The Coliseum and I mean, wow, the only one premiere
that was a way to do it right there?
Speaker 6 (10:33):
How was it?
Speaker 8 (10:35):
So? It was the first ever premiere at the Coliseum.
I mean, and what people don't I think really understand
is it is an active archaeological site. So to get
to do that, to get permission from the Italian government
was like a huge deal and his quite special.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
I bet, I bet that's awesome that you got to
go and do that. We're talking of course about fast
in Fury ten the universe itself. I can't believe that
there's now talk that ten, which was supposed to be
the final installment, might be a trilogy. I don't know
how you have a final installment with a trilogy. And
I was trying to think of a franchise that had
(11:14):
more installments than the fact. I don't think there is
another one that exists.
Speaker 5 (11:18):
Do you know of one, Scott No.
Speaker 8 (11:20):
I think, you know, if you kind of sort of
evaluate Star Wars, it might be the only like sort
of contender. But I don't think with the same cast.
I mean, that's true, Yes.
Speaker 6 (11:32):
Suttile right over over like over twenty five.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Years, dude, that's wild wild.
Speaker 8 (11:39):
It's completely crazy and insane and really cool.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
It is cool. And in part eight, your character was
a bit of a rookie from what I remember. What's
his situation now he's grown up.
Speaker 8 (11:51):
He's all grown up now, and he's he's willing to
break the law to get things done.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Oh you know what, sometimes you gotta crack a few
eggs to make an OnLive. Right, he drove a super
U last time. What's your car now?
Speaker 6 (12:03):
Tell me?
Speaker 2 (12:03):
Tell me you stepped it up.
Speaker 8 (12:05):
I don't want to give away the car I'm driving
now because I want audiences to come and be surprised.
Speaker 6 (12:11):
But it's pretty.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Cool, fair enough, fair enough, Fast ten now in theaters.
We're gonna have more Scott Eastwood coming up.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
Mario Lopez will be right.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Back, Mario Lopez here talking about Fast ten with Scott Eastwood.
We're gonna find out what happens to Kurt Russell's character
that wasn't really addressed in part.
Speaker 8 (12:28):
Nine, Right, it wasn't, But you know, there's it seems
like there's room for him to come back in maybe
without giving away too much, maybe part two of this
sort of ending saga.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
Yeah, well, the cast just keeps on growing. It's like
the ever growing cast right there. Who'd you kick it
with when you were on set? Who did did.
Speaker 6 (12:49):
You mainly hang out with?
Speaker 8 (12:51):
You know, normally I hang with Luda, I hang with
Tyresee Natalie Emmanuel, who's just so lovely and sweet.
Speaker 6 (13:01):
This time was actually it was crazy.
Speaker 8 (13:04):
So everyone you know on this cast right is you know,
in their own regards, like a movie star.
Speaker 6 (13:10):
So to get everybody there, it was really quite tough.
So what they did was they shot.
Speaker 8 (13:18):
They shot everybody almost independently, and I don't know how
they did it, but.
Speaker 6 (13:25):
They they sort of.
Speaker 8 (13:26):
Everyone was, you know, battling schedules. So people were flying
in from other movies. They were on to shoot a
day here, a day there, and then flying out. And
I was doing the same thing.
Speaker 6 (13:36):
I was.
Speaker 8 (13:36):
I was, you know, the lead of this film in
Greece at the same time with Jamie Fox and de Niro,
and I was flying back and forth to London like
on weekends to shoot Fast That's wild.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
Man, all right, Well, looking forward to checking it out.
Hold on, it's got more music now what almar A
Lopez here got Scott Eastwood with me from Fast ten
and the Danira movie Tin Soldier. Speaking of DeNiro, I
just sat down with him in Chicago for a movie
he did with Manuscalco. My guy's eighty about to have
a bit. Oh no, just had a baby. Can you imagine, brother?
Speaker 6 (14:10):
Can you then?
Speaker 2 (14:11):
And then, by the way, because I know he spent
some time with all, I'm like, I was very surprised
to hear that. What were your thoughts when you heard
that news?
Speaker 6 (14:18):
I couldn't believe it. I watched it. The news got
broke to me. This has to be a lie.
Speaker 8 (14:23):
Yes, I mean pretty spry, pretty spry for an eighty
year old.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
That's fantastic. All right, hold on, Scott more music now,
Mario Lopezz my guest today, Scott Eastwood, you joined the
Taylor Sheridan movie Wynne River the next chapter. I love
all his shows. His shows are fan I mean even
a Yellowstone might be the I don't want to say
least favorite, but the eighteen eighty three night did twenty three,
They're fantastic. I really love them. Anything you could tell
(14:50):
us about that? And how was it working with him?
Speaker 6 (14:52):
So Taylor did not direct this movie. It was It
was a.
Speaker 8 (14:57):
Director, Carrie Skogel, and she's incredible. I don't know if
you've seen this Roger Ayle's miniseries she did with Russell Crowe,
but she's a really great director. It's actually really cool
it's it's sort of it's like you took the story,
but then you just sort of moved, you know, you
(15:17):
don't know if it's you know, it's.
Speaker 6 (15:20):
Just like a different crime, a different thing that happens.
Speaker 8 (15:23):
I don't want to give away too much, but it's
it's in the same tone as the first wind River,
but it's just a whole different cast and a new crime.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
Where did you film that one?
Speaker 6 (15:34):
We shot it up in Calgary, north of Calgary, actually
near near the Ski Mountain bamp.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
Yeah. Oh it's pretty up there there.
Speaker 6 (15:43):
Yeah, beautiful.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
Well, all right, man, we got to take a break.
Going to wrap it up. Scott eastwin this moment.
Speaker 9 (15:47):
We here the full interview now at on with Mario
Dunc more Mario Lopez on the way.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
Mario Lopez, We're happing things up with Scott east wimming
from Fast ten and what's this I've been reading You've
been raising your own chickens.
Speaker 8 (16:00):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, well I've been having I've been having
chickens for at least four or five years.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
Oh you've got chickens for a minute.
Speaker 6 (16:06):
Then, yeah, yeah, yeah, raised them from from little chicks.
Speaker 8 (16:11):
It's really quite fun to raise them in to see
sort of like that whole process them grow into actual
chickens and then them produce eggs for you, and you
go down and you get the eggs and you have
eggs every morning.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
The eggs are so good too. And don't they do
like they produce like an egg a day pretty much.
Speaker 8 (16:28):
Yeah, man, that's that's it depends sometimes in the winter
when it gets cold, they'll maybe produce less.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
But that's awesome. Every day you getting fresh eggs right there,
that's awesome. Yeah, the price of eggs, I definitely got up. Well,
how much space do a chickens need where you keep
a chicken?
Speaker 6 (16:43):
Well, we let them.
Speaker 8 (16:44):
We let them roam. We let them roam around the
yard in the day. You just got to remember to
put them up at night.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Yeah. Right at Coyote, you jump in there. The whole
deal right there. All right, my man, congratulations on everything,
uh you got going on? Listen, Fast ten is out
out now, Scott, Thanks for hanging out. We look forward
to the next projects.
Speaker 6 (17:03):
Can catching up absolutely, brother.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
Mario Courtney Lopez. Here, let's take a quick look at
what's turning on the website.
Speaker 4 (17:10):
Why fans don't recognize Lady Ga guy anymore?
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Oh, well, she is always in some sort of funky
outfit in disguise.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
Why Justin Bieber's tribute to his wife will melt your heart.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Good for him, you know what, He's always showing the love.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
Nice and sweet boy.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
Yeah, you can see what everyone's talking about it. I'm
Murri dot com. Mario Courtney Lopez got some celebs turning
a year old. They were going to try to guess
the ages eight time Olympic medalists in speed skating Apollo.
Oh no, oh.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
No, oh no, we haven't said that in a long time.
Apollo is eight follow eight is not a movie.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Wow, I'm sorry. Wow you think about Apolo thirteen? You
didn't get the number reference right following? Do you want
to take yes of the age?
Speaker 3 (18:03):
Palla is a hardy forty seven.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
I think my guy's only forty one forty one is correct?
Oh Naomi Campbell model who has looked exactly the same
for the last thirty years.
Speaker 5 (18:22):
She's got to be.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
Fifty one, fifty four, fifty three, fifty three And from
new edition, Johnny Gill, you the rat.
Speaker 3 (18:35):

Speaker 2 (18:38):
Because because he had to get It's part of the
onad dress. Oh my god, slip all those has and
so by that sweet Smith's it was a tweeter that
said you didn't have musical ability.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
That was painful.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Johnny Gill, it was a good Johnny.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
He is fifty six.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
Johnny got to be at least sixty one fifty seven. Wow, Wow,
I'm so close.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Okay, okay more Mario Lopez on the way.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
Mario Courney Lopez. Here we got your first look at
Leonardo DiCaprio's next movie. He's teamed up with Martin Scorsese again.
By the way, Scorsese's got to be up there himself.
He's still killing it though. The movie, by the way,
is called Killers of the Flower Moon. It's based on
a true story from the nineteen twenties. You know we're
going to see that.
Speaker 5 (19:31):
Of course.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
You can see the trailer now at omrio dot com.
Mario Courtney Lopez, here was some quick buzz for you.
Happy to hear Jamie Fox's home in recovering after a
serious hospital state last month. His daughter even posted something
that he was playing pickleball the other day. So my
guy goes from hanging on by a thread to playing
pickleball and That is great, great news.
Speaker 4 (19:52):
He also picked up a new gig already. It's a
game show called We Are Family that he's going to
co host with his daughter Krinn. That's really cool coming
to Fox next year.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
Yes, I think it's about other families competing against each other.
So I love that. All right, more music now, jo
marl Courney Lopez. Time now for one last thing. Kanye
taking the fashion out to outer space. He went viral
last week for wearing a puffy, shiny jacket with leggings
and my guy had literally some Mui Thai pads on
(20:24):
his feet with socks. It was a wild look.
Speaker 5 (20:28):
And the young lady that he was with, she was.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
That's apparently his wife. By the way, he got married again.
That's the headlines I saw about that story said it
was his wife, and I think he got married again.
I thought I might have seen that. Well wife, that's
that's wild. Well his wife was rocking the cell phone
in her pants like a little kid. It was the
weirdest look. And they were just walking around without a
(20:54):
care in the world. Good for them, Good for them?
Speaker 1 (20:57):
You do you boom coming up?
Speaker 2 (21:01):
All right? Ton of punch y'b big thanks to Scott
Eastwood hanging out. We are back tomorrow with more music
and fun. Till then, Mario Courtney Lopez, and good Night
Speaker 1 (21:09):
With Mario Lopez
