This is on with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Let's do it Faber Day of the Week.
Speaker 3 (00:05):
Throw Back Thursday got some very cool guests I'm gonna
celebrate today Chili and Ta bos from TLC. Their new
doc is about to drop. We're gonna get them to
share some stories from that era.
Speaker 4 (00:15):
Plus, I have a life hack that is guaranteed to
keep solicitors from ringing your doorbell.
Speaker 5 (00:21):
So let's turn the music up. You are on with
Mario and Courtney Lopez.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
Turn the music up, jolmar Courtney Lopez celebrating Throwback Thursday
in honor of today's guests, t Boz and Chile. Let's
go back to Spring of nineteen ninety two. This was
a song that introduced the world at TLC.
Speaker 6 (00:41):
It's funny in the morning, the middle of the night.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
He gotta go on on it.
Speaker 5 (00:50):
It should be our motto.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
That's the jest.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
That's what I'm saying right there. And then they show
that they could slow it down as well, babe. And
then they followed it up with a song that still
gets radio play today and let.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
What about you friends?
Speaker 3 (01:20):
Yes, but you know what my favorite jam from there is,
I don't want no scrubs, No scrub. You don't want
your passenger hanging out the best friend's ride trying to
hol at meat.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
Come on, no, no, we got a lot.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
We might have to go see him concert, honey.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Or Mario Lopez coming up?
Speaker 7 (01:36):
You're Mark Courtney Lopez. Let's take a look at what's
on TV today. Netflix debuts Fubar. Arnold Schwarzenegger is a
retiring secret agent who discovers his daughter is also a
secret agent.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Arnold's first TV series.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
All the Secrets, Amazon premieres One for All. It's a
doc that follows around the four biggest soccer stars in Belgium.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Oh, that one ginger kid in Belgium is really good.
I know that.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
And Max has the doc A hundred years of Warner Brothers.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Oh, that's kind of cool. And by the way, you
mentioned Max, which used to be HBO Max, but now
it's just called Max and I keep thinking Cinemax.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Very confusing, mar Lopez. Here was a quick buzz for you.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Don't be surprised if we see Natalie Portman show up
again in the Star Wars universe. Oh, Princess Amidala, She says,
the only reason she hasn't done it already is because
no one has asked. We've already seen Hayden Christensen, you
and McGregor return for Obi Wan Kenobi on Disney Plus,
so we'll have to see.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
All right, let's keep the music going, y'all, Mariol Courney Lopez.
Let's get your tweets and comments. What you got.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
This is from at Laura Lee three sixty five and
she said, I cannot believe this. Saved by the Bell
The College Years turns thirty this year. The show didn't
get a fair shake because it was up against Woolhouse.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
Well, no, I think the the actual problem was that
we went from Saturday Morning to primetime. We try to
keep that Saturday Morning kind of feel you got it
kind of there was chure it up a little bit.
Speaker 8 (03:01):
Yeah, there was a battle in my house because I
was a fan of watching Saved by the Bell and
then it was on at like eight pm or something
and my dad didn't want to watch that crap.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Thank pox, Thanks a lot, Pops.
Speaker 5 (03:14):
That's funny.
Speaker 9 (03:15):
Hit us up on Twitter, Get on with Mario and
hang on more. Mario Lopez on the way right out.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Mario Lopez here in this fast and furious cast, keep
just getting bigger and bigger. But there's one actor they
haven't been able to get yet, Keanu Reeves whoa. Apparently
they've offered him roles in two different movies and he's
turned them both down.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Smart.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
I'm not surprised Keanu. My guy's a solo act been
around for a minute. I don't know if he necessarily
needs that franchise. All right, more music now, Mario Lopez.
Here's a few more songs than today's guest should be
entering the Zoom. It is Chilly and tea Boss and TLC.
They got a new dock hitting cable and a new
summer tour. Let's talk about it's coming up next.
Speaker 10 (03:58):
So grow up.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Mario Lopez joining you know on Zoom.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
Four time Grammy winning artist Teev bos Chili from TLC.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
Welcome to the show, ladies. How are you?
Speaker 11 (04:06):
What's going on the temple?
Speaker 2 (04:09):
You're so sweet?
Speaker 11 (04:12):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
I love look who's talking over here? I love seeing
you girls. I got a big smile every time I
see you. The music, I mean, that's my era, that's
my jam and say y'all on the Americanato Finale. Must
feel good to know your music continues to inspire young artists.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Right.
Speaker 12 (04:30):
Oh yeah, yeah, it does.
Speaker 10 (04:32):
It feels really good to hear, you know, them tell
us stuff like that, and even when they do their
own little tributes and things.
Speaker 12 (04:40):
I mean, it's it's an honor.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
Yeah, that's awesome. And coming to Lifetime in A on
E on June third, this is very cool.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
TLC Forever.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Was it cathartic to revisit some of these chapters from
the past. I gotta imagine a little therapeutic and fun
at the same time.
Speaker 11 (04:55):
It was real fun.
Speaker 12 (04:56):
It was like a walk down memory lane.
Speaker 11 (04:58):
It reminded us.
Speaker 6 (04:59):
Of all the good times we had together. So you
get this fuzzy feeling in your your belly.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
I gotta imagine. And there's a lot of home video
from back in the day to write. Who had all
that footage or was that from like a archive.
Speaker 11 (05:14):
Everything.
Speaker 6 (05:15):
I kept a camcorder and a camera on my smarten
and and hang and I would just catch everything.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Oh well, you were ahead of the time before the iPhone. Yes, yes,

t Bos and Chili with me talking about their new
dot TLC forever. So after Lisa's tragedy, did you at
(05:45):
every point consider going back to a trio or No?
Speaker 12 (05:48):
Never, It wasn't even for a second.
Speaker 11 (05:53):
You know, when you work.
Speaker 6 (05:54):
Together and build something together, I don't care if the
person isn't here physically. We did this together, so it's
always TLC. So I just think it's ignorant when people say, oh,
it's TC now. Now, if you've ever worked for something
you pay a million dollars per letter for your name,
you deserve that name, honey.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
Absolutely, absolutely, that's awesome to hear right there.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Just play more music.
Speaker 3 (06:17):

Speaker 12 (07:21):
That was the best tour. You're right still to this day.
Speaker 11 (07:24):
Really, And I'm trying to say Bobby Brown second too.
I like Bobby. It was a lot of drama.
Speaker 12 (07:29):
That was too much drama.
Speaker 11 (07:30):
It was a lot of drama. But I know body
it was.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
I love Bobby too, and I love Hammer, but first Hammer.
First he was as cool as you think he is, right.
Speaker 10 (07:37):
He seems like a nice stottle world and he gave
us really great at bias like he was, I'm telling you.
Speaker 12 (07:44):
And then I watched his show every single solitary.
Speaker 11 (07:48):
Dancing this show, and I thought I was hot stuff.
Speaker 12 (07:50):
You're talking about. When we did the it was the last.
Speaker 11 (07:52):
Show I did it.
Speaker 6 (07:53):
I took swoops position his dancer, and I put on
the Jason Boorhees mask.
Speaker 10 (07:58):
Girl.
Speaker 11 (07:58):
But I was living my best life.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
I bet, I bet, and and with Bobby. I love
you some Bobby too. But what was dramatic about it?
Speaker 12 (08:06):
Just answer?
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Oh, she was the people.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
Around got its interesting.
Speaker 10 (08:13):
We were about to get into like fights and every
day and it was you know, it was so crazy.
They well one in particular, did not get fired because
you know, she was sleeping with Bobby.
Speaker 11 (08:28):
I was sleeping with the husband and brother. I'm young.
Speaker 6 (08:32):
No one of them was married or sleeping with Bobby's brother. Yeah, Tommy,
they were actually together because I guess I dated her
ex boyfriend.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
In there.
Speaker 11 (08:46):
I guess, okay, you did, I did, Yeah, But they
were together. So what was the Heiper's problem?
Speaker 12 (08:54):
Friends?
Speaker 11 (08:55):
She was about to get beat.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Down as had a square up on her own.
Speaker 12 (08:59):
But here's the thing.
Speaker 10 (09:00):
You want people look at us because it's so tiny,
you know what I mean. And they were like bigger girls.
But that's kind of like, how Look, we don't encourage violence,
all right.
Speaker 11 (09:11):
Hey, sometimes that's okay.
Speaker 10 (09:13):
Sometimes got blue they started, or if they mess with
my sister, I feel like Rocky you.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
First, Blue, that's right, that's right.
Speaker 11 (09:23):
And I got to retaliate.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
I respect that.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
You got to handle your business sometimes. All right, gotta
take a little break. We're gonna wrap it up with
TLC just a moment.
Speaker 9 (09:30):
A full interview now on with Mario Dunco. More Mario
Lopez on the way.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
Mario Lopez rapping things up with the Ladies and TLC,
And what about new music. Have you decided to maybe
put anything in the works or anything on that front.
Speaker 6 (09:46):
Absolutely, We're working on a Broadway play into TV shows,
so I'm sure there will be.
Speaker 11 (09:51):
New music incorporated.
Speaker 12 (09:53):
Oh that's especially for the musical.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
Yeah, yeah, the Broadway play. Those things take a minute
to put together, but that's awesome. I love when they
take much like Frankdelly in the Four Seasons with Jersey Boys,
and they did, and they take and they kind of
take a journey and with all their songs and they
tell the story. Those are my favorite kind of shows,
so I'm gonna have to check that out as well
when I got out to New York. Whenever that comes out, well,
(10:16):
I look forward to seeing you ladies in person. Congratulations

gets the word wrong. It was really super cool. Addie
even did it Taylor's slideshow for school. Taylor is truly
ADDIE's hero yesterday, today, and tomorrow. To see Taylor perform
blank Space would be better than winning any race. As

Which is I like Killian Murphy. I was hoping he
would be the nice Bond.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
Killian Murphy killing it and he is forty eight.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
My guy's gotta be like.
Speaker 2 (11:51):

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Yeah, baby, also Shrek, Yes, Mike Myers.
Speaker 2 (12:07):

Speaker 3 (12:10):
Excellent?
Speaker 12 (12:13):
Is that right?
Speaker 2 (12:14):
What did you say? Part time party?
Speaker 3 (12:16):
Ar Garth uh Man, He's got to be sixty two
sixty sixty is correct?
Speaker 5 (12:23):
Yes, I knew what I knew, what I needed.
Speaker 8 (12:25):
That from Lord of the Rings. Uh Ian McKellen. He
played Gandalf the Gray sir Ian McKellen in The White Yes,
oh yeah, he's been knighted.
Speaker 5 (12:34):
Don't you have to be a certain age to be knighted?
Speaker 3 (12:36):
No?
Speaker 2 (12:36):
No, surely you used to have to be able to fight.
Speaker 8 (12:38):
That's no longer a thing.
Speaker 5 (12:40):
Sir Ian McAllen is sixty five.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Oh no, Well, in those movies he looks like he's
one hundred and fifty.
Speaker 5 (12:48):
But I think he looks great.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
I think he's eighty one eighty four. Ooh, there we
go more.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
Mario Lopez coming up.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
Mario Lopez here in today's lesson on music history is
about one of the only artist to have written two
different hits with the same name. I'm gonna reveal it next,
Yallmark Courtney Lopez and on this day in history thirty
eight years ago. In nineteen eighty five, this became the
biggest song in the country. Man, Great Great Boys, George
(13:28):
Michael right there, but technically it was Wham. The group
Him and Andrew Ridgley formed that group and it was
the first group since the Beg's to have three number
one hits from one album. Love Me Some George Michael.
He also holds a very distinct piece of history where
he had two hits with the same song title Freedom.
He had only the one Freedom as Wham and then
(13:50):
Freedom as an individual number I don't.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
Want your Freedom.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
I know that was when Wham and then the one
as uh yeah Freedom, Yeah, that one's the one.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
I yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
So, but he had two songs hits named Freedom of
the same title. That's that's I don't know if it's
ever been done before.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
Del mar Courtney Lopez Live Hack. What is the topic
today at Courtney's.
Speaker 5 (14:13):
Corner Home Security?
Speaker 4 (14:16):
So don't spend money on expensive systems. All you need
is a dog, a turkey drumstick and a shoe. Yes,
you put the shoe on the end of the drumstick
and you let your dog prance around the yard with it.
All your neighbors will think your dog bit off the
mailman's leg.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
Even if we have a little French bulldog, he's just vicious.
Speaker 8 (14:36):
And if the dogs aren't available, since Sonny out there
with it.
Speaker 9 (14:39):
Exactly more fun on the way on with Mario Lopez.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
What Almaro Courtney Lopez. What holiday we celebrate today?
Speaker 3 (14:46):
Honey?
Speaker 4 (14:46):
It is National Tap Dance Day. You all need to
tap your troubles away.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
Okay, I like tap dancing.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
It is a bit of a dying art. Used to
do it back in the day, a little bit as
a kid.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
Do you tap?
Speaker 3 (14:57):
I'm sure as well? Right, heck yeah, I tapped the
honor of actually getting to tap with Gregory Hines back
really as he he rest in peace. And there was
that awesome movie called Tap that he did which was
was a classic too. People should check that out.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
Wyo, Courtney Lopez. Here a quick reminder about tomorrow's big
artist takeover.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
Rob Thomas is going to be getting behind the mic
to play his favorite tracks plus new songs from the
Matchbox twenty album Where the Night Goes.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
Check it out by opening up the iHeartRadio app and
searching Rob Thomas, or get the info at on with
Mario dot Com.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Mario Courtney Lopez's put on a thing tabs of time
for Courtney's random question, You got honey, all.
Speaker 4 (15:34):
Right, who is the celebrity that you wish would write
their memoir?
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Well, there's a few people.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
All my faves Stallone, Arnold Paccino, de Nio, all those guys.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
Clint east would write one. Clint Eastwood wrote not he
wrote one about his movies.
Speaker 8 (15:52):
Okay, not about his life, gotcha, because that would be interesting.
That would be because his Wikipedia is really interesting. Yes,
where he quietly fathered children. Yes, outside of the thing.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
No, that's my guy right the more.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
Mario Lopez on the Way Tebyra on Mario Lopez and
a bit of breaking news this week that called everyone
by surprise. Singer Tina Turner has died at the age
of eighty three. She's known as the Queen of rock
and roll, just a true pioneer, and she passed peacefully
in her home in Zurich, Switzerland. What an incredible life
(16:26):
she had. She started out as a duo with her
husband Ike Turner, and in the movie What's Love Got
to Do With It, which was named after one of
her biggest hits, we saw that she suffered a very
abusive relationship, but she persevered and ended up having an
incredible career. She made a great appearance in one of
Mel Gibson's movies, Mad Max Beyond the Thunderdrome. She sang
(16:49):
the theme song for that and just an incredible performer
if you ever got to see her.
Speaker 2 (16:53):
Live, a real music rock legend right there.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
So God bless her and her Family during this time,
Mario Lopez, here was some quick buzz for you. We're
getting another new Taylor Sheridan series on Paramount Plus. They
might have to reconsider just naming the network after him.
This one is called Landman, all about the oil boom
towns of West Texas. It's gonna star Ali Larder and
Billy Bob Thornton. Man, my guy cannot miss. He is
(17:21):
assembling these awesome casts, and all the shows are really good.
I've seen them all so so far, so good, and
I'm for sure gonna check out this one. Production is
gonna start later this year. All right, more music now, John, Mario,
Courtney Lopez. Time now for one last thing. Prince Harry
and Meghan Markle. I can't believe this are doubling down
on their cart chase claims from earlier this month. Critics
(17:42):
think that they're just trying to make headlines. Something Harry
and Megan say is abhorrent. They claim that paparazzi we're
chasing them through New York for two hours, nearly hitting
pedestrians and police. Now, the NYPD came out and said
this did not happen. Witnesses came out and said it
didn't happen, And there were also cab drivers that were
(18:04):
there and said this did not happen.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
All I know is being in New York.
Speaker 3 (18:09):
City often you can't even drive two You can't go
two lights without stopping at any time of the day.
I don't care if it's three in the morning. So
it it does seem a little far fetched when you
hear it, and people are really upset and kind of
bothered by it because they feel he's sort of going
to the well where his mom obviously suffered a trategy
(18:31):
that's a real bad look. It is not a good
look at all. So I don't think this is going
to turn out too well for them.
Speaker 4 (18:39):
So the cop said they went from the event that
they were at to their apartment in a total of
twenty minutes, So I don't know how.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
That got turned out. It's actually impressive time in New York.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
Right that in and of itself as well, unless it
was geographically convenient. But yeah, this is ooh, just adding
to the controversy.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
Mario Lopez will be right back.
Speaker 3 (18:59):
All right, we're here, but tomorrow should be a lot
of fun, hilarious. Bert Kreischer is going to be zoomed
in to talk about his new movie The Machine. Last
here a tweet of the week, Tell Dad Mario Lopez
saying good night
Speaker 1 (19:11):
With Mario Lopez
