(00:01):
Fantastic. Hey, Nashville, how'severybody feeling today? Man, I'm gonna
be honest. I'm gonna be honest. I feel like I can be honest.
On Broadway. That was really lame. That was weak. I was
really lame. Come on this day, Nashville, how we feel it?
There we go. My name isWayne d. This is Tay Hamilton.

(00:21):
We are with I Heeart Country inthe Big ninety eight. Thank you for
joining us here at Jason Aldean's kitchen, the rooftop bar. Three people are
excited about that. Thank you,Thank you. Listen before we even start
talking, there's a QR code.Scan it enter. I'll tell you why.
In a second. You want togo here, I'll go here.
Let's do it all right, Sorry, we're doing it this way. We're

(00:42):
figuring it out as we go.Ladies and gentlemen, I gotta tell you,
not only is he as an amazingartist, but you're gonna know in
the next couple of minutes he's ahell of a human being as well.
Give it up for Kane Brow. What up? I feel I feel like
I should be singing your entrance.Thank God, I'm bias it. He

(01:08):
just wished my ear you don't knowthe words. That's messed up now,
I'm kidding. Uh. First ofall, came Brown's here with us,
guys. How y'all feeling? Ohyoh? First of all, I gotta
tell you you have been non stopbusy. I gotta tell you, like
you don't know that. My man'sgot an amazing album. He just had
a number one song with his lovelywife. He just sold out bridge Stone

(01:29):
Arena. Just she's excited about that. I'm gonna skip all that because not
many people they get number ones, they do sold out shows. You also,
in the same week two weeks hostedthe CMT Awards. What was that
like? Uh? It was fun? You know, I gotta do it,
Kelsey. It was our third timedoing it together. Last year she

(01:49):
had to do it from home,so it was it was cool and it
was cool. It was an austometoo. Do you guys still get nervous
before you go out and host likean award show? That's pretty us?
Hang on, is that the answer? Or are you asking? Because we
could do this number of no.See, so when I'm off the road,
I tried not to drink as muchas possible. Uh, do me

(02:12):
a favor. We talked a littlebit about the collaboration with your wife,
um, and you said that it'ssomething you've guys have toyed with before,
but it just fit, Thank god, just fit. Why is that?
And then I got a second partafter you answer that, Um, sorry,
say that one more time. Thankgod fit you guys, you and
your wife had talked about working togetherbefore, possibly, but just you didn't
find the song. Yeah. Um, so we had like four songs that

(02:37):
we wanted. Um, but I'vealways liked my whole career. Just kind
of followed my gut and something wastelling me that we hadn't found the one
yet, and the album was aboutto be finished, and we I was
like, maybe this is ain't thetime. And then thank god came across
from one of my riders, Joshhog Uh. He sent it to me

(02:57):
and I listened to it and Ifell in love with it, and I
showed it to her and she fellin love with it. So we made
it a do it. Second partof that question is is there a second
one in the works just yet?No, But I just put a studio
on at my house, so we'llbe we'll be working a lot. Uh,
you know, when we put thekids in a bed, go down
and do some music and see whatI haven't that's hey, that's a sign
you've been married too long. Let'sget the kids to bed and make music.

(03:21):
No, no, no, let'smake a song. Like. Yeah,
I just saw something recently too.It was on social media or something,
but she was talking about how she'slike such a regular person and she's
not used to doing like shows andyou know, performing in front of huge
audiences. But first time you guysperformed together on stage, were there like
encouraging words you had to give herbecause she was nervous? No, I

(03:44):
mean, like we have this routinewhere every morning we'll wake up and turn
music on and dance with the kids, like our making breakfast and stuff.
So whenever we get on stage,I tell her just to look at me,
and we're in our kitchen again, and so we're just she just literally
stares at me the whole time, and then by the third verse, she
she'll open up and she'll go andlike talk to the crowd and things,
what's surprising you about now that youhave been on the road, We've we're

(04:05):
seeing on social media she's a repeatoffender. When it comes to jumping on
stage with you right, uh,which, by the way, that's because
it's his wife. Don't y'all gojumping on stage. But it's it seems
like her confidence is more. So. What's surprising you about seeing her grow
as I mean as an artist?I love it, um, I just
love to see it. You know, her do well and it's really cool.

(04:29):
It's funny because just today we werewe were just away from our kids
for two weeks. It was thehardest thing, and especially for her.
I've had to do it a lot, but it was the hardest thing for
her. I remember when we cameback in h I was the first one
in the house and then she wasrunning upstairs and right when she grabbed kingsle,
she immediately just started crying and waslike holding her, which was it

(04:49):
was crazy for me to see.But she asked today, she was like,
do you do you think they wouldcare if I didn't come on this
run and sing? And I'm like, no, no, no, no,
it's not how works. I gottago to all these shows all the
time. Now you're part of myshow. It's a big song. I
was like, think about it.They're gonna be up, said if you
don't come out to you made acommitment. Yeah, but she was,

(05:11):
she was telling me. Now She'slike, baby, I don't see how
you do it. You know,I'm always gone. It's like she's on
the other foot. Now. Well, so you have your lovely wife on
tour with you, but you alsoare bringing Dustin Lynch and low Cash with
you too. Now when I sawit, I was like, this is
a massive party. That sounds likea party. I don't want my wife
at Okay, calm down, um, but why why were those three the

(05:38):
perfect fit for your tour? Um? So I've always loved low Cash Um.
Like their shows are just so energetic, they're fun. They remind me
a lot of myself because like we'llrehearse and do everything. Like if you
go to y'all go to a lotof shows, all right, when you
when you when what's up buddy? When? So when you go to shows,

(05:59):
there's like a lot of rehearsals thatgo into the shows, and people
go book for book. They saythe same thing every night. And for
me, I don't go to rehearsals. I just know the songs. I'll
have to learn some arrangements, butwithin my talking points what I do on
stage, all of us different andso it mixes it up for fans.
But low Cash is really good atthat too, and bringing the energy.

(06:20):
And then you bring Dustin Lynch onstage and he's got eleven number ones or
twelve number ones. There's just somuch energy, so much fun as party,
and it's I don't know, Ijust feel this is my favorite show
that I've had so far. That'sa good time. Yeah. When it
comes to cities you're gonna visit,it's got to be tough. Obviously.
Some cities you're like, oh,it always is amazing. In Nashville,

(06:41):
it's always amazing. And you know, going to Saint Louis, going to
what makes you pick these cities thatyou're building things out? I just show
up. I don't pick them.Yeah, people ask me where I'm playing
tomorrows. I have no idea.I'll tell you when I get there.
Do you have go to food spotsin each city? Though, Like,
like you're like, oh, atSaint Louis next week? I know,
I don't leave, you know,I go to all these cities and I

(07:03):
stay at the venue, either hangingout with my family or play an Xbox
listen and let me tell you, this guy's got some serious game. He
embarrasses me. But that's another storyfor another time. One of the questions
we put on social media, We'relike, hey, if you could ask
Kane anything, what would it be? And we got the tattoo question,

(07:23):
because I see you do have morethan one. What was the most recent
and what's the next one? Icouldn't even tell you. I think my
most recent was Cody, my seconddaughter. I got her on my thumb.
This is my piece that I regretthe most and the piece that I

(07:46):
have to keep working on because ithurts so bad. I got like three
hours left on it. But it'sa cover up. And then every time
I get a tattoo, I alwaysask why am I getting a tattoo?
Do you do you have a methodto the madness or do you just like
for I don't have nearly as many, but when I'm like, I just
go, I'm gonna get this.I'm gonna get this, and it really
doesn't make sense together mine makes senseafterwards. I find a reason for him

(08:09):
to make sense. So like Ihave a rose on my hand, which
I feel like so many people have. My wife's middle name is Rose,
and my second daughter's middle name isRose, I mean first, and so
I have Caitlin Rose and then Kingsleygoing down whichever side I don't even know,
but then Kingsley Rose. So itmakes sense. You're a pretty fashionable

(08:33):
guy though, I mean, yoursneaker game is always on point. And
I just saw recently too that youdid you just launch like a necklace line
like your own jewelry law partnered witha Well, I'm an ambassador for David
yourman. That's usually the only jewelrythat I ever wear, and they didn't
know that until I told him inan interview. So now we're working together.
They send me jewelry for award showsstuff like that. That's awesome.

(08:58):
And each one of you on yourway out the door, make sure you're
waved goodbye. You're not getting jelry. I just wanted to make sure don't
leave without waving. So many faceslike that, it's messed up. The
rest of the year stays busy foryou. But what are some things you're
looking forward to? My acting debutis tomorrow, getting the play a part

(09:18):
in Fire Country. I'm like RobinHood. It's cool. I'm really we
get to spend time at home becauseit's Easter, so I think this is
the only thing I have. Andthen I get like four or five days
at home and then we leave fortwo weeks. Again. I know how
you do it well. Last question, and we like to ask this question

(09:39):
a lot because we've got some prettyunique stories. Is there ever has there
ever been a song that's maybe comeacross your table that you skipped over,
but then maybe a couple months downthe line, you heard on the radio
and you're like, dang, whydid I pass that up? As a
no? Never, I feel likeI'm like the best an R in Nashville.
I will I will put that onmy back, you know. But

(10:00):
now, if I hear a song, I usually know if it's gonna be
you know, the one or not. Is it like a connection right away
you just hear the song, You'relike, I gotta have it. Yeah.
So if I hear a song thefirst time, which I really do,
I mean, I feel like Ido some outside cuts, but not
a lot. But if I hearit, I usually immediately know some of

(10:22):
them, you know. I wouldlisten to ten or fifteen times and then
if it still hasn't hit me.Then I just know that's not it.
So do me a favor. Ifyou have not scanned the QR code yet,
make sure you do it right nowbecause we're gonna pull the winner in
like less than two minutes, Somake sure you scan the QR code so
we can pull the winner real quick. Here, I do want to ask
you. You're also a guy whoI mean if anyone follows you on social

(10:46):
media, you have been championed foryour workout ethic and Tim McGraw has even
made a comment like I thought Iwas fit, then I see Kane Brown
doing this thing. How important isit for you to keep that up all
on the road and how hard isit? Well? For the longest since
twenty nineteen, I didn't I nevermissed a day other than Sundays like Chick

(11:07):
fil A and thank you. Butum, I got sick when we were
in Europe. I had like onehundred and three degree fever and I didn't
work out for like twelve days.I was two oh five and I weighed
myself the other day and I'm oneeighty seven, So I lost that much
just off not working out. ButI lost it all in my stomach and

(11:30):
I got to keep everything else.So it's like it's a win win.
How many guys want to learn thatsecret? We'll sidebar after, we'll sidebar
after this. Are we ready?Yes, we're gonna pull our winner.
So if we call your name, you're gonna meet us at the back door.
You're gonna get to meet Kane. You're gonna get a picture. You're
gonna get an autograph, guitar andan autograph the vinyl. By the way,

(11:50):
I did not know that I wasgonna be on stage today, and
um well, if I was ready, i'd tell you. I did not
know I was about to wear mysmiley face house shoes. Right before I
walked out the door, I putI put these on. Oh you look
great? Doesn't he look great?Think he looks fantastic. I should have
told you ahead of time. That'sthat's n me. Oh you're good.

(12:13):
All right, here we go wheneverwe have a winner, do we have
a Tiffany Taylor, Tiffany Taylor, you're signed up and left, bump bump,
Tiffany Taylor. Going once, TiffanyTaylor, I'll check in. I
d thanks for lying on the Lord'sWeekend. You're gonna lie. That is
fow all right, we're gonna pullanother one. We're gonna pull another one.

(12:37):
You sign up for context, yougotta stick around. I know what
you'd be in the bathroom. Iknow if you're in the bathroom, I
would hurry. All right, we'rewaiting for her. She's pulling her another
one. Yeah, So let meask you one more question. Collaborations have

(12:58):
become such a big deal with countrymusic. You have had them before,
much success with them? Is thatsomething that you target on this next project?
Um? No, so collapse. They just kind of come for me.
And I feel like I'm like theDJ Khalid the country music. I
have so many features and so nowI try to stay away from him.
But I mean, if it justif it's like I hit, I can't

(13:20):
not do it. You know,if you're gonna collab with anybody, I
mean, this will be a twopart question. If you're gonna collab with
anybody in country today, who wouldit be? Um? I mean,
we're I've been trying to do onewithout Dean for a minute, so y'all
gotta y'all gotta tweet at him.Um, and then uh, I have

(13:43):
I've been trying to do one withShanaya too. Whoa, we we haven't
we haven't found the right song foryou yet. You know what, He'll
get Jason too, to get backto you quick on the collab question.
Leave without paying your bill. Here, he'll call. He'll call you before
you go to bed. Yeah,I don't know. Let's see, that's
a horrible idea. Don't do that. All right? We ready, all

(14:03):
right, we're gonna try this again. Jacob Giapolo, I don't know if
I'm pronouncing the last name. Yallare killing me? Smalls? Wait where?
Oh yeah, hey, let's go. Congratulations man, congratulations. We
appreciate y'all. All right, goahead and meet us in the back.
Ye all right, So here's thedeal. We appreciate you guys being here.

(14:24):
We're gonna bring Kane in the studioin the back. We got some
other things we're gonna do. Butthank you for making time today. It
means so much. It really does. One more time. Can brown y'all
