The JV Show on Wild ninety ninefor nine, the bays number one hit
music station, The Jav's Show.I'm Selena, I'm and I'm cheaty.
Voice check, Graham, how's thevoice? Let me just bumble bee bubble
be bubble be, bumblebee, bumblebeeback. No, I'm not back,
but it's better. You're back, sounding better, just slightly better. Shout
out to the nap behind men's choir. That's where we used to we warm
(00:23):
up for our perform You would bumblebumble be bumble bee bumblebeeb Yeah, for
real? Where did you perform,uh the national anthem in an Oakland A's
game one time? Sorry? TheLas Vegas A's. Did they have fans
then? Yeah? They actually did. I mean they had more than they
do now. But I've told thisstory before. The choir teacher told me
(00:43):
to lip sync. I was on, you should do that on this show
too. I'll be honest. Iwasn't the best, wasn't the best vocalist,
but I had one year nap behindmen's choir. It was a big
deal. It was a big deal. A lot of guys, like a
hundred guys in that and for somereason, I got go out as the
guy that need lips. I thinkeveryone else will drown me out. Guy
(01:03):
easy. First order of business therain. Why is it still here?
You said barely anything like just asmall little thing if we even see it,
you know, and it's still heretwo days. I'm gonna talk about
this later and trending because I gota gripe with all the I got a
major gripe, just like you, with all the forecasters here in the beer
and they're like, it's pretty justgonna be a little sprinkle, just a
(01:25):
few a few hundreds of an inch, Are you kidding me? It was
boring, yester boring. And thenthey're like, well, it'll be pretty
much done by. I don't know. What do we do? Forecasters talk
voice don't I don't know, butwell that's how they do. In my
mind, I'll be pretty much doneby, you know, after yesterday?
That's it? Yeah, And umhello, it's gonna rain again today,
(01:49):
more rain. We're gonna have more. It's gonna be like yesterday all over
again today. I don't get.The only positive to come from the rain
is that my daughter's soft all practicewill be canceled today. Let go.
That's as good. Yeah, getyou out of something. Second order of
business the Warriors. Oh man,did you watch any of the game.
I'll be honest with you, Ididn't, grant because you're not a real
(02:13):
fan at least ad minute. EvenI'm on the bandwagon, and bandwagon fans
we kind of watched when we wantwhen we don't want to watch. But
I'm a huge, huge fan.It was close. It was really close.
They were neck and neck, liketied, and then you know,
down by one, up by oneye at the very end I read about,
Um, yeah, I don't.Did you stay up and watch the
(02:35):
entire game? Um? It washard during the fourth quarter, but I
was. I was up, butlike in and out, Yeah I was.
I just had I had a lotgoing on yesterday and I maybe sucked
two minutes of the game, andthen I was like, yeah, Warriors,
probably about this. I'll wake up. I'll wake up, check the
score to a win. And thenI woke up and check the score and
it was not a win. Whoopsies. Third order of business, there's there's
(03:00):
a third order of business. Didyou hear about the crisis in San Rafel
yesterday? No, that's my formerhometown. I know, so I've only
really driven through there. Um,there's like an office complex off of Smith
Ranch Road in the in the TaraLinda area. Yeah, yesterday morning,
a suspicious package appears. Everyone isfreaking out. They bring out the UC
(03:24):
Berkeley bomb Squad. Oh man, this hold the thing. It is so
serious. There's like there's an unusualodor. So everyone's freaking out, thinking
at some type of explosives or Idon't really know what sort of chemical agent
or something thing something bad is about. The bomb squad descends onto the Tara
Linda area there in San Rafell. They send out like that bomb robot with
(03:46):
that like goes up to it whenit's got the I don't know if the
robot made an appearance, but thereare a lot of officers got it,
got it, got it, Andthey go and investigate the suspicious package.
Yeah, and they determine and thatit was just a box filled with twenty
pounds of rotting fruit. And thatwas the horrid smell. That was it.
(04:08):
Yeah, what I don't know howI got there. Well, somebody's
probably like, man, I gottaget rid of all this fruit. What
do I do with it? Dumpit off here in this office complex clocks
it off and throw it on theground here or did somebody order the fruit
and they just forgot about it andthe pack of sat there until it all
brought it started stinking. And thenwhy is the why are we where are
(04:29):
we getting the bomb squad out forthis? Just because it smells funny?
Yeah, and so all this isthey made me. Should check on your
people and Sarah Fell make sure they'reokay after this incident. Yeah, shelter
in place has been lifted. Everyonecould come at their house. It's just
a bunch of rotten Yeah. Hashtagwe will rebuild, We will rebuild hashtag
Sarah Fell strong. I'll check onevery I'll check on my old I'll check
(04:50):
on my old neighbors, make surethat they weren't affected by this um fourth
order of business. We have afourth order God's Oh, this has been
a long day. It's really yourorder of business. He said, we
have to talk back, that weshould play. Yes, we do.
This came in yesterday and my earsperked up a little bit. We have
time to play yesterday and I thought, well, it's you know, we'll
(05:10):
play it. We'll play it todayand we'll discuss. Okay, good morning,
JV's show, Good Morning Ground,Good morning cheaty Selena girl. I
got a new energy drink for youto try. It's called Ghost. To
me, it tastes way better thana Celsius and it's zero sugar, natural
caffeine, ten calories, and theytaste so darn good. Try it out
(05:34):
one day, Bye bye, thankyou. Oh my god, you guys
know I love a healthy energy turnOkay, this is really good, though,
are you ad Yes, it's sogood. There's one that had it's
like lime. It tastes like sprite. It is so good. There's a
blue rasmo. My voice is goingout, Oh my god, you're oh
no, whatever you had, it'sspreading. Okay. I just looked it
(05:58):
up because I've never I've never.Maybe i've seen one of these, you
know, it didn't register, SoI don't know what these look like.
Oh I have seen these. Thesedon't look like. There's one that's warhead
sour watermelon. Yeah, that's theone. I want. You mean to
tell me that this is the allnatural, no sugar, it's a healthy
energy drink. This thing it lookslike liquid candy, any natural, a
(06:20):
bunch of illegal speed in it orwhatever they put in these things. It's
good for a previous like a substitute. No, it's definitely healthy looking.
I'm looking at the nutrition facts. It's five calorie, zero grams of fact,
zero sugar, zero added sugar.Yeah, and it's Warhead sour watermelon
flavor. Healthy. Stop it.I'm reading it right here. The marketing
(06:46):
genius of that Celsius stuff that youdrink Selena, by the way, I
had one of those yesterday because Iwas on my drive home and I are
necessary, I keep an emergency eighteenpack Selena's emergency eighteen pat in my car.
Why so, why is it inyour car? Bring it into the
studio. You have it in yourcar so you can drink them all.
She has a point. This wasthe second one of these things I've ever
(07:09):
had. But I was falling asleepon my drive home. I was like,
oh, I better, I better, Like, you know, go
into Selena's stash here. I triedone. It's decent. But the genius
of those ones is is the isthe branding and the marketing on look it
looks healthy, and make it looklike it's a health drink. Now go
st On the other hand, they'renot hiding it They're like, we're it
(07:29):
does look like candy, pure crap, bad for your health, and we'll
can it up and sell it.But will Selena still drink it? You
bet? Of course you will bet. Fifth order of business, there's a
fifth, the fifth order of business. Go home, listen. It's a
good one. Okay. It's givenyou the chance to win a thousand dollars
okay in Crazy Cat the JV showon Wild nine nine Salty for nine the
(07:50):
base number one at music station. If you missed your last chance to one
a thousand dollars in Crazy Cash, another chance, it's coming up seven h
five and then eight o five andthen nine five and then ten oh five
and then one oh five, andthen he goes on, um, it
is a JB show. I'm selenamGraham and I'm cheating. So scammers,
baby, what Graham baby? Scamming? This is so sad. Authorities in
(08:13):
Georgia say that a seventy five yearold woman met somebody online best way to
meet somebody nowadays. He tricked her. They met online on Facebook in March
and he was very manipulative. Obviouslyyou can see where this is going.
Their relationship got serious, very quickly. They never met in person. But
then the scammer started asking for money, but cash only. Yeah, this
(08:41):
poor woman, seventy five years old, she sold her house Oh no,
my gosh, and sent him ninetyfive thousand dollars in cash shipped to Nebraska.
Oh my gosh, because she thoughtthat this person loved him. Know,
Oh, I know it's a senlike you sold your house for this?
(09:03):
That is oh my god. Wedon't even know if it's a guy
who. I wonder what the scammerawas saying the reason that they needed the
money. I know, that's alot of money. I mean, it's
a big sum of money. Andthen what what was she getting in return?
Like a coupleanionship, a couple ofdepicts. Oh she doesn't want that,
(09:24):
rose, everybody does not want those. You're right, But I wonder
what you say to someone to makethem believe that it's like, okay,
it's safe to send you ninety fivethousand dollars. And is nobody there like,
hey, gladys, why are youputting your house on the market.
Oh, I gotta my internet boyfriend. He's taking a trip and he needs
(09:48):
a few extra bucks. I'm sureshe was questioned, But you don't tell
the truth because you know people aregonna judge you. They don't understand your
love. That's the outside. Arethey just hating on you? Ye?
So sad that this happens so sooften. Americans lost one point three billion
dollars last year because of this, and that's just the ones that get reported.
(10:11):
Again, Yeah, there are alot of people that get scammed.
Then they're too embarrassed to admit thatthey sent money to somebody that they never
meant Would you ever admit it?If? Nope, say if it was
some really big sum and then Igo, no, that makes me look
like a bigger dummy. So yeah, even if it was a small amount,
if it was like twenty dollars,I don't even think I would admit
to that. That one's easier toadmit, like, yeah, I probably
(10:33):
got scammed. Here I said, you would out of your way to like
go send somebody twenty dollars Like that'sstill pathetically. But if I'm taking a
second mortgage on my house wire somebodysomething amount of money, yeah, you're
not gonna hear about that. It'salways the older people. That's what makes
(10:54):
me so sad. Somebody's granny. It was like out here getting played all
their retire money to some scammer. It's but a lot of it is,
you know, it's the companionship likewe are talking about. And the Surgeon
General the United States, I don'tknow if you guys saw this, but
they just announced that loneliness as anepidemic now has been declared an epidemic in
(11:15):
the United States, and that theamount of time that people are interacting with
friends and stuff has like plummeted overthe past couple of decades. Particularly,
they say, amongst people that usesocial media more than two hours a day
or whatever, what's everyone have thefewest interactions with actual friends and report higher
(11:35):
feelings of loneliness. So let thatbe your takeaway as you scroll Instagram from
your couch today for two hours, that it's making you feel more isolated,
you Know's what's interesting when we thinkof like seventy five year old granny here
from Georgia selling her house because shewants companionship, but she sends it to
some guy not knowing he's a scammer. Yeah, that makes me so sad.
(11:56):
But when I think of a sugardaddy who's essentially the same. Why
don't I feel bad for him?Well, he's getting something, but he
still knows what's going on, longingfor a companionship and he has to do
that, but he's not getting bewanted by someone. True, But I
feel like he's not getting duped, like he knows what he's signing himsel phone,
he's getting, he's getting some nudesand return it. Yeah, they
(12:16):
don't do that. Sugar babies donot do that. They just hang out
and talk. Yeah right, Iheard he's getting. He's getting a couple
of DM pictures for sure. Otherwisewhere's all the money? Yeah? Yeah,
buy them cars. The interesting thingis you talk about this woman who's
seventy five and you feel bad, like, oh, well, old people
(12:39):
they're getting duped online and you knowthey don't they don't fully understand how the
internet. No, they've been onthe Internet has been around with them for
the last thirty years, since theywere since they were forty five. Don't
tell me that like this is somethingbecause they're you know, it's it's a
technology thing or something. I getit. Maybe you were saying it's ninety
(13:01):
five year olds getting scam but likesomebody that's in their sixties or seventies.
Now they're familiar with technology and onlinedating and all. I don't know they've
they've lived through it. I don'tthink so, because my mom she's not
she's not I can't say her age, but she's not seventy five, okay,
and she still believes everything that shesees online. She'll be scrolling Facebook
(13:22):
and like something comes up and shefully, she fully believes it. Maybe
that's less about the age demographic andmore about the mental capacity of your mom.
Wow, I'm like offending that yousaid that. No, I think
it has to do more with age. They're just not as aware of the
scams and every and everything that happensonline. Well, just to make a
(13:45):
counterpoint, again, this is bothanecdotal evidence on either side because my parents
are are older, they are intheir seventies, and they ain't fall for
any of this stupid. Fine,Well, I guess maybe you're right something
about a mental capacity. Just sayingthis is already doing evidence. We both
have a you know, we bothhave a yeah, something that we've seen
in our own lives on both sides. But just like when you think about
(14:07):
when you hear somebody you know intheir sixties or seventies. They're getting scamed
on line. It's like they've they'vespent a good portion of their life with
the Internet, and that is true. The JV Show on Wild nine nine,
we are number one for new hitmusic. Happy Wednesday, the JVS
Show. I'm Selenam and I'm Cheaty. So the Fast and Furious, Yeah,
the new one comes out May nineteenth, Fast ten so excited fast X.
(14:31):
But it's Fast ten. This isbig. This is really exciting stuff.
Are you guys gonna go see itin the theater? I mean for
us? No, probably not,but no, meaning I don't I know,
I don't think I've seen the Lastand Furious movie since Tokyo Drift.
That was like the third of thefourth one. I know. The last
(14:52):
one I watched was the one withPaul the Paul Walker one. I think
it was seven, The Paul Walkerone was it? He in like a
lot of them. The last Fastand the Furious that I saw was Fasten
the Furious too too Fast, tooFurious. I saw that in the theater.
That was a good one that weneed to catch up. You have
(15:15):
got a couple to watch, andif you guys do want to sit down
and watch all of them. Youcan make a thousand dollars. There's a
company called Finance Buzz. They're offeringsomebody they're looking for a fast and furious
claims adjuster. They're calling it becauseI'll tell you why in a second.
But they want you to watch allthe movies and as if you're an insurance
claim adjuster, they want you toduring as you're watching each one, document
(15:39):
every single car crash that happens ineach movie and note the damage, how
the accident occurred, and so thatthey at the end can basically make a
claims adjustment like an insurance claim.Let you know what all the damage to
all the cars and everything would havecost an insurance company over the lifetime of
(16:00):
all ten movies. So you're they'regoing to have you watch fast ten coming
out here. This is interesting becauseI wouldn't want to see how much like
what the damage totals out to,right, But I don't want to sit
there and have to work out everysingle crash in every single movie. Agreed
this We talked about scammers in thelast break. This is a scam a
(16:21):
thousand dollars to document every crash andthere's a crash every three seconds in a
Fast and the Furious movie. Youknow how many crashes you're going to sit
there and have to describe in detailand wear the damage awful, Let alone
the damage to everything else that's notjust car related. I mean they're damaging
buildings, airplanes, helicopters, motorcycles, I mean, you name it.
(16:41):
Everything's getting damaged in those movies. Are you including bodily damage as well?
I assume there's going to be someof that, and the claim as well.
You're always all scraped up and kindof you know, walking out of
cars that just happened to explode twoseconds before or after, you know what
I mean. I would like youlike to see because they want somebody to
estimate the insurance impact of the franchiseesreckless driving. I would like to see
(17:03):
what that total number, but Idon't want to do the work for it
is. But no, no,no, no, no, no no
no, that's a thousand dollars. The math ain't math on that. And
for that reason we are out.Let's kick off our cool or not less.
We do this every Wednesday. Wejust throw some things out and we
discussed here on the show. Hey, is that cool? Is it not
cool? By the way, ifyou have something that you would like us
to discuss here, you can alwaysleave it in a talk back on the
(17:25):
iHeart radio apps. Please do um, what do you guys think cool or
not? It is official going tobe putting down a deposit for my boob
job. It's happening. Really,it's happening so cool. I can't yeah,
I mean, you seem very happyabout it, so I I don't
have a date set yet. It'slike a big year for you because this
is really happening. You got awedding. We've been talking about that date
(17:48):
a lot. Now we got thisnew chesticles I know for the wedding.
Have you settled on the size ofthese future chesticles? Um? Because you
were have been some of the youknow, the implants who were playing with
them the other day at your consultation, any thing you were leaning towards more
than another one. I allowed toask that. I don't know if maybe
(18:11):
I want cheaty to ask ye sizethat you want yet, like you know,
short answer no, because he showedme too that I'm like stuck between
and do you think we should talkto him at some point on the show.
I think we should a lot ofthis stuff you could explain better than
I can. Yeah, and Cheatyhas a lot of questions that I can't
ask. Yeah, yeah, she'sgonna ask. I'm gonna write him down,
(18:36):
could ask them. I'm gonna actuallytalk to him today to see,
um, you know when we canput me on calendar and stuff, so
I'll see if he's down to comeon. This is this is excited.
Do they come in different shapes?Well, I know they come in different
sizes, but we know that regularregular boobs come in every zillion different shapes.
See, and this is when wecould ask him because I don't know
(18:59):
the correct term, but I knowthat there are ones that are more like
tear drop shaped. I don't thinkthey're called tear drops. Okay, so
they do, see, Yeah,I think there is some different ones,
but for the most part most forthe most part. Yeah, that's what
I was the trap zoids. Yes, a couple. How does that shape?
(19:23):
Didn't expect that? What kind ofbroad do you wear? Holder?
Yeah? But that is so thereis there are some different shapes. I
think it's interesting. Yeah, Ithink it's just a couple. Though the
tear drop would probably nice like yeah, for a little more natural, A
little natural. I don't know.I don't like she wanted to feel yours
like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, interesting, that's cool. Do
(19:48):
you have something? Yes? Ido? What do you guys think?
Cool? Or not? People?Fans? I should say, who don't
put on the free Warriors T shirtthat is waiting for you on your seat
at Chase Center? Not cool?I don't look. I didn't watch all
the game last night. I watchedsome highlights this morning, and I assume
because the Warriors dropped off some Tshirts to us this week, I'm assuming
(20:11):
that was the shirt that was oneverybody's seat. It is. It was
a bright yellow shirt, cold bloodedblooded set on it. And now I
looked at some of the highlights todayand I don't know, maybe fifty percent
of the crowd. I don't know. It was hard to tell from the
clips that I watched, but Iknow not everybody put their shirt on.
And you know, when they puta shirt out there for you, they're
(20:32):
going for kind of a look. They want everybody in the crowd to be
completely you know the crowd or somethingyeah or gold And I get it.
You have on, you know, your own cute little Warriors gare that you
want to show off and wear, but when you're at the game, I'm
sorry, fans, but I feellike you need to put that shirt on
because that's what the players are goingto see too. Yeah. I agree,
(20:52):
mainly because it's a playoff game,or like especially because it's a playoff
game. During a playoff game,if they want everybody in that crowd wearing
one particular shirt and just a seaof one color, you put the shirt
off. Do we blame last night'sloss on the fans who did not wear
the shirts? Yeah, that's whoI would blame it on. Obviously.
(21:12):
What I'm thinking. Do you thinkit's because the like we talked about this
week and mister fab Like ripping onthe Chase Center crowd? Do we think
it's because the Chase Center crowd's alittle bit differently? Do you think this
would have happened at Oracle? Doyou think every single person Oracle would have
been wearing I do not wear goldshirts. Get it over. My business
suits were like a thousand dollars shirtsI want. I would like Selena to
(21:36):
continue with this impression. Do somemore. Is this you're doing? You're
doing San Francisco tech tech worker. You're that was like a French accent.
I like it, going for snooty. Yeah, I liked it, though,
do some more of your snooty accents. They serve tea at Ziber I
(21:57):
will drink. But watching the actuallyI don't know what that Actually. I
had one more question asked, butI can't remember what it was. Maybe,
okay, here was my here wasmy just my one question about when
you're playing the Lakers, whose coloris yellow gold, don't you think they
(22:18):
should have put a blue shirt oneverybody's seat last night? Just a little
Chase Center Warrior's critique, like, because then you're just gonna blend all the
Lakers fans are just gonna blend in. Everyone's gonna be worried. There were
a lot of Laker fans there lastnight. Well they looked like Warriors fans,
So jokes on them. I thinkif we wanted to stand out,
we're purple. I mean, ordon't. I'm just wondering if Chase Center
(22:40):
you put a free playoff T shirton everybody's seat, maybe it should have
been blue. I don't know.I kind of like the yellow. We're
not blue blood and all blooded bloodedthat's true. Yeah, that's a good
point, all right. Coming upinside Today's that is trending at the fifty
fives, Kim Kay is defending herAmerican Horror Story casting from a lot to
backlash. Tell you what she's saidcoming up. It's all the stuff you
(23:04):
need to know what's hot in music, movies, shows, and the most
talked about stories happening today. SoKim Kay is defending being cast in American
Horror Story. As you know, she's going to be in season twelve of
the show, and that announcement camewith a lot of backlash, a lot
of criticism, a lot of judgment. Yeah, no, you're right,
(23:26):
And even even me, as someonewho you know likes the Kardashians, I
was like, I just don't Ijust don't know about this. Is it
gonna be weird? I feel likeI'm not gonna be able to separate Kim
Kay from whatever character she's playing.Plus can she even act? That's the
biggest question. Yes, So sheis now defending joining the show. When
she was at the Met Gala Mondaynight, she said that production has already
(23:48):
started on season twelve of American HorrorStory and that they're going to start shooting
her at the end of this month. She's going to start, you know,
being on set and actually working onthe show. She did say it's
a challenge, but you love tochallenge herself. But it's something she's taken
seriously so much that she's also beentaking acting lessons to prepare for this role.
There's no time for that. You'resupposed to be studying for the baby
(24:11):
bar or the real bar. Youtold me you wanted to be a lawyer.
You can eight acting classes and doingthis and doing all your other stuff.
You told me your sole focus wasbecoming a lawyer, So make that
your soul focus. Yeah, well, I mean it's too late. The
show's happening, she's going to beon it. Um, I don't know
how this is going to turn out. I'm afraid for the show, and
(24:33):
I'm afraid for fans of the show. Yeah, that she could possibly ruin
the entire thing. We don't knowhow big of a role. Yeah,
that's what we don't know, right, I mean, obviously she's taking acting
classes. It's got to be adecent role. I get the sense,
I guess, I get the sensethat it's gonna be. Yeah, pretty
decent size role just because of howthey were pumping it up Kim Kay and
(24:56):
Emma Robert's Season twelve. Do youknow what I mean? To me?
That sounds major? Yes, AndI agree with a lot of the backlash
she's been getting. You know,one I can't remember the woman's name,
but she was like actors had towork hard for their roles, like they
had to study, they suffered sometimes, you know, and this is just
handed to her. It's like everythingelse in life. Yeah, that would
(25:18):
really bother me if I was inthis in that industry. If you're struggling
actor waiting for that big break andyou've paid your dues and you've done a
bunch of small theater roles and commercialsand all stuff, waiting for your break,
and you get passed over at arole that you would be perfect for,
it'd be frustrating upset. I alsounderstand, though, why they do
it, you know. Oh yeah, yeah, you have to understand if
(25:41):
you've been if you've been struggling foran act to be an actor, that
you also understand how the business works. Yeah. All right, So here's
your Jamie Fox update, and it'sit's not good. Unfortunately, we don't
have any specifics, but as youknow, he's been hospitalized at least since
April twelfth. That's when we knowthat his daughter announced that Jimmy Fox excuse
me, suffered a medical complication. He's been hospitalized ever since. Now.
(26:03):
There was talk of him suffering astroke on set of the Netflix movie that
he was working on. That hasnot been confirmed, but his daughter did
say in her initial post that he'son the mend. He's talking again,
which tells us at one point hewas unable to talk. You don't know
to what level he is able totalk now, but it's been over three
weeks. He's still in the hospital. And now the show that he was
(26:27):
the host of, you know,Beat Shazam, they start filming. I
think yesterday they started production and Jamie'sstill not there, so they had to
get a replacement host. Even hisdaughter, who was a DJ on the
show, she's not going to bethere because she wants to remain with her
dad in the hospital. Understandably, but this has to be a lot more
(26:49):
like why isn't there more talk aboutthis? It's clearly something very very serious
has to be. The Netflix moviehad to go on with you using a
body double. Anytime you're in ahospital for an extended period of timing,
that just that that right there signalsthat it's something really serious. I mean,
just the fact that you can't bereleased from the hospital and be recovering
at home means you're requiring, yeah, tear around the clock. And if
(27:12):
it was a stroke that he suffered, I mean, maybe he's not even
talking now. Maybe the damage wasreally really bad. When you lose oxygen
for an extended amount of time,it could be. Strokes are scary.
Strokes are really really scary, andthe recovery time can take. I mean
that maybe it it's just the recoverytime from stroke can be a long time.
(27:33):
Doesn't mean you can't get back toquote unquote normal or whatever. You
can, but it does take along time. There's a lot of rehab
that's involved with it. Yeah,by people close to him told TMZ,
just pray for Jamie, is whatthey said. Graham, what do you
have all right, take a momentand say you're goodbye to Nordstrokes. Well,
(27:55):
not the whole, not the wholecompany. You're gonna still be here,
But yesterday the company announced that you'rethirty five years in business. They're
closing two of their downtown San Franciscostores, namely their biggest one, their
flagship store that's at the Westfield Center. And then they're also going to be
closing their Market Street. Yes,actually insane. That an entire floor of
(28:18):
I feel like it's like seven floors. Yeah, right, there's a lot
of floors. That's not why arethey going to do You've taken that escalator.
Jazz keeps going like, oh no, I got Menswears on the sixth
floor. You just keep going andgoing and going. Yeah, they're not
going to be renewing the lease onthat one, So that one is going
to close. I think at theend of the summer. The market their
(28:40):
Market Street in the norths from Rack, that one's going to be its last
day of business will be July first. A couple other businesses I don't know
if they were this is just tohold my beer, We're going to do
the same thing sort of moment. But Anthropology they're closing a San Francisco location
as well a downtown San Francisco locationas well as and then a Sacks Off
(29:00):
Fifth location is going to be closingtheir Market Street location. So wow,
oh my god, there's going tobe good seals a lot of yea,
probably before all these places closed.I mean Nordstrom says they're going to focus
on their other Bay Area businesses, but they are going to be closed.
I mean again that like we weretalking about, that's a major store that's
closing down. So this is abig hit to downtown. All right,
(29:22):
thank you Graham the JV Show onWilde. Okay, before we get to
I have something on AI I wantto talk about. But before we get
to that, something we were debatingduring that last song off the air,
no offense, cheaty. It's Fairfieldpart of the Bay yes, I you
know, look, I'm kind oftorn on this one because you know,
(29:45):
Selena, you and jav used togive me a hard time that Napole is
not part of the Bay air, which we know it is. It's and
I feel like, if let's justsay San Francisco, If San Francisco is
the epicenter of the Bay Area,Fairfield nap about the same distance away,
right, I mean fair Fields alittle farther. Well, it depends on
which way you're going, though. No, I really put fair Fields in
(30:07):
the same category as Napa That isjust too out there. Do you think
it's like Bay Area adjacent adjacent?Yes? Are you looking at a map?
Well, now you know what Iam going to pull up a map.
It's a little little water that touchesfair Field. Stop. It's next
to where I live, is likeright next to Falleo. Vallejo is definitely
(30:30):
Bay Area, so like Fairfield's rightover. Yeah, but for some reason
it just seems different. I hadto go to Fairfield a few weeks ago
and it was the longest drive ofmy life. There's no way that is
in the Bay Area. Let's stopit. Let's say the area. Okay,
See, Napa's forty five miles fromwhere we sit currently right here,
and fair Fields forty six so ohno, too far. That's one.
(30:55):
That's why Nappa into the bay.Welcome now, bub But Fairfield, No,
that's no. Fairfield is the bay. There is some water, there
is water. Is that touching? Is that touching Fairfield or is that touching
so Soon? Well, Fairfield soSoon is like the same. It's like
the same like city. I'm gonnagive to soon. Bay Area established for
(31:15):
that it is away farther than Fairfield. So soon, that's asking of Vacaville's
part of the Bay. No,well, that one's clearly not part of
the Bay. Wow, you waterin Vacaville at all? I love their
outlets, Let's yeah, their outletsare pretty good, the Vacaville out Yeah,
they're at premium. I've never beentotally nice A lot there, Yeah
(31:37):
for cheap too. Love it?Yeah, I think it is. I
think Fairfield. It's in Solano County, Solano Counties, one of the nine
Bay Area counties or whatever they areaccording to like kron But oh my god.
UM, so, I don't knowif I like. Well, I
(32:00):
do know, and I know thatI don't like this. UM. According
to researchers at the University of Texas, UM, they have successfully created an
AI system that can translate a person'sbrain activity into actual language. They're like
able to decode your thoughts and readyour mind. I was about this yesterday.
(32:22):
I don't like this. I don'tlike it either. I don't want
people knowing my thoughts. All right, I intimate things that I could never
say out loud, exactly know. But isn't it crazy that this computer was
basically typing it out and it wasvery close to what people were people were
thinking they were asked to like theyhad people hooked up to like Mr machines
(32:43):
and things like that, and theylike studied this very thoroughly. Yeah,
and it's only going to get better. Why do we want to do this
anyway? This is the first versionof this thing, figuring out what your
thoughts are. Imagine what version youknow? I don't need this. I
don't like it, but I meanI guess it could be are useful when
it comes to um like nonverbal people. Yeah, people are unable to communicate.
(33:06):
Yes that. I was also thinking, like, uh, like police
interrogations. Yeah, stuff, yougot to get a search warrant to search
my brain. That's a violations privacythere you go. Do you use this
on somebody without their consent? Imean that violates all order one for my
man to read his mind? Now, see, that would be helpful.
(33:30):
I know, guy walks in thedoor, it's about two in the morning,
where have you been? And thenyou just see everybody you already know
the computer is just going to spitit out. I feel like, if
anything, husbands need this to readtheir wife's minds because for some season,
you never know what we mean whenyou say are you okay? And then
we say I'm fine. That doesn'tmean we're fine, That means the opposite.
(33:52):
For some reason, you guys cannotlike figure that out. You need
a mind reader machine or like whatto get for your birthday? Yes,
you know things. I agree itwould be helpful. But also when you're
not fine, why don't you justtell us what's because we want you to,
like you should know what's wrong exactly. We do care. That's why
we asked, well, why dowe have to tell you? Why are
(34:12):
you asking you should know? Becausesometimes we don't know the all the inner
office drama that you went through thatday, and you're mad at your coworker
about something it doesn't have anything todo with me. Maybe you could lay
it out for me and let meknow you just don't want to talk about
it. We just want you to, like, you know, comfort us.
Yeah, that's what we're doing byasking if you're okay, well okay,
then just act yeah, just dosomething nice, like I don't know
(34:38):
version AI thing is going to beconfused, but this is gonna be like
it's it's reading her thoughts, butlike she's mad about so many different things
that keeps jumping all over the place, like even the AI is gonna be
like, dude, you're on yourown. I don't know what I don't
know what to do, she says, she's fine. It's like I quit
the JV Show on Wild ninety fournine, Salty for nine, the Bays
(35:00):
number one hit music station, HappyWednesday. Thank you so much for hanging
out with us. This is theJav's Show. I'm Selena and I'm cheating,
all right. The talk backs aretalking back, Yeah, talk backs
to be talking back? Does thatmake sense? We were just discussing whether
or not fair Fields is part ofthe Bay. I was giving Cheaty a
hard time because she is. She'sfrom Fairfield Communes every single day. But
(35:23):
I will admit it's kind of outthere. It's very very out there,
you know. To me, it'smore out there than nap uff. I'm
being honest because I did have togo out there a few weeks ago and
it was like the longest drive ofI will never go back. Oh,
we got talk backs rolling in.It just does longtime listener of JV show
(35:44):
and you know, the doghouse andeverything. You guys have me dying this
morning because you guys are talking aboutmy hood. I'm native Fairfield to Soon
Area. We our own areas.Londo County is the Yay area. It
came out of the act Dre area. We are ya. We are our
own entity. So soon As actuallythe start of the Bay areas. So
(36:08):
so she's saying that you hit Fairfieldand Cheeta, you might have to verify
this from me. And you hitFairfield, they're in eighty You're now in
the Yay area. But if yougo south a little bit back towards so
Soon, you're back in the Bayarea. Can you confirm or deny that?
Um? I confirm yes, I'msure about that. I thought I
(36:30):
thought the Yeay area according to myboy forty described a little bit of an
area. Yeah, um, youknow, I think that was before my
time. So I had oh,I have a well that wasn't to the
person left the talk back, thatwas an interesting take. I got it.
Now I got to look at amap again. We are a part
(36:51):
of that area. On a maplike you go, I can like Google
image a map and it separates BayArea from Ya area. If not,
we'll dance sketch one. I definitelydon't. I'm astin on that one.
I don't think Fairfield is part ofthe b area and especially NAPA, like
it's just not giving the area. You guys are doing amazing job on the
(37:14):
show. Love hearing you guys. You guys always start my morning. Have
great think that one's not even thatsounds like somebody's never been there. Yeah,
well he's here. What that's neverbeen to Napa. If you're saying
Napa, come to actual Nappa.Don't look at the stuff that you see
(37:37):
in magazines and see in movies. That's a different part. I'm talking about
Napa, just regular old Napa.I don't know about all that. Graham,
Good morning from Castrol Valley. Ithink Fairfield just sounds like a dry
(37:58):
bearing place like some stuff it feellike fair Field. But I'm anything.
I'm just a little concerned about Selina'stravel habits. The fair Field is the
longest driver for life. That's agood point forty six miles from here,
Sela. That's but do you wantto address the dry barrenness of fair Field
(38:22):
because it's not even dry like that, dude, is that's so much There's
so much going on there, likewhat's a jelly bean factory? No,
And it's the jelly belly factory takessome respect on belly factory. I think
we got the Budweiser factory there.Yes, because it's so wide open and
dry and boring out there, there'splaces to build dry factory. This bar
(38:45):
is out there. You go downtown. Okay, But but what you saying,
what if he's just saying just thetopography it's dry, Let's be honest.
And during the summertime you drive throughFairfield, you're like, whoa,
don't get the light of match thisplace, nap, But it was on
fire too, so yeah, butI just that's I don't think actually caught
(39:06):
on the fire. So we've gota bunch of tree. Yeah, greenery.
It's just dry. It's dry.It is dry. Let's do one
more talk back. Good morning. It's Miguel from San Jose. I would
definitely say so soon as part ofthe bay, I mean Fairfield. You
know, we can talk about thata little bit, you know, a
little bit and discuss what people thinkabout that. But definitely so Soon.
(39:29):
But I don't know about Nappa either. Fairfield it's as soon are like the
same thing. We have the sameschool district. Dude, If you're giving
Sassoon Bay area status and not nappo. We got problems. We got problems.
I didn't mean it's darting to beat. I'm sorry, ignited. Maybe
we'll play some more talkbacks a littlelater on because we have a lot coming
(39:51):
through it all right now, though, we do it to get you in
the mix with Magic Mats the JVShow on Wild nine nine before we get
to the jav Show. Yep,no game. We're gonna play just a
couple more talkbacks and this will bethe end of this discussion. Okay,
Yes, we were discussing. IsFairfield's part of the Bay area? Now
you said this first talk aback Grahamwith someone who left one earlier is the
(40:12):
second. I think it's the secondtalk back. This is a totally new
person. They've got a very strongopinion about this here deal. Fairfield not
part of the bay. I'm prettysure there's no water frunt in Fairfield.
However, since doing makes more sense, they have a water frunt, so
it's on the bay. Interesting andthat's kind of the point you were brought
up at first, Graham, doesit touch yes, actual part of the
(40:36):
bay, and then in which caseyou should be part of the Bay area.
NAPA does touch part of the back. I see you see. Okay,
now this talk back and this issomeone who loves to talk back previously,
and she was kind of confused mehonestly. She was saying that Fairfield
is the Yay area, not theBay area. Right, Okay, sorry
(40:57):
you guys. This does again Icompete you guys more so. Basically,
what I was saying, Islano Countyis considered Yay area. And what I
was saying about so Soon is ifyou go from the Sissoon Marsh, you
can take a boat all the wayout to the bay. That's where the
bay actually starts. But we areYay area. So even NAPA Graham is
(41:23):
included. I agree with everything, but that last the end part of that
suit. So so Soon as amarsh, and because they have a marsh
there now, and is that wherethe bay starts? And also you could
take a boat to Stockton, andStockton ain't part of the bay. No,
definitely, definitely not all right,we have to leave this alone.
That was the end, all right, Let's bring on Christie. Hi,
(41:45):
Christie Christie there, yeah, heHi, how are you. I'm okay,
how are you? Very very good? Thank you? You ready to
play the JV show. Yep,Nope. Game. It's for your chance
to win a fan only four packof tickets to the Legoland Discovery Center at
the Great Mall Inn Mill Pets.Christy, We're gonna ask you four triview
(42:07):
questions. Just gotta get three right, Okay, just get three corrects,
hands you win. Here's question numberone. The Canadian flag consists of what
two colors? Red and white?Yeah? Easy one. Question number two.
Up until twenty sixteen, Los Angeleswent close to twenty one years without
an NFL team, But now theyhave two. What are those two teams?
(42:31):
Oh my gosh, okay, uhoh Rams and Um, I can't
remember. My friends would be soshame. I don't know. Chargers,
Yeah, Rams and charge Oh mygosh of San Diego. Yeah, it's
(42:57):
all good. They just get toget these last rack and you could still
win. You could still win this, Christie. Question number three. In
twenty twenty, this hardwood flooring companyrebranded? Did just become l L Flooring?
What does l L stand for?Oh? Um, big company?
Let's see here, lumber one.No, that's only went Oh h that
(43:22):
can we say that the first? That's the first album. Right, you
got the first elm Okay, lumberuh, let's see Uh, I mean
flooring. Uh, I don't knowone lumberline, the old lumber exhale today
the old lumberlin. Sadly, no, it's liber lumber liquid. What's that?
(43:45):
It was the correct answer. Yeah, I mean cut the music.
Cut the music music. You didn'twin. Dang it. Let's do question
number four us the school people wholike the chargers. I'm so disaplining myself,
(44:07):
is Christy? Come on? That'spressure you a little nervous? We
do? Yeah, this would havebeen your fourth question. Okay. And
odometer is a gauge in your carthat measures what summer? Is that?
The speed? That's the speed?Right? Spedometer measure your speed? Well,
(44:35):
man, I should have had myhusband called so many miles your car
has been driven? Or mileage?Yes? Of course? Okay, Christie,
I hear a little noise in thebackground. Can I ask, like,
where where are you? Oh?I'm sorry, I'm talking off my
eight year old out school today?Bike to school day? So oh,
(44:57):
so you guys are walking a littlebit. We drove partial way and then
we watched the rest. Isn't thatkind of cheating gram. If it's walk
or bike to school day, you'renot allowed to drive halfway because they put
in the flyer to the parents. So like you can you can. If
you're smar enough way, you canjust drive. Okay some people from my
(45:22):
house, I would park the blockbefore then act like I walked the entire
way exactly. All right, Christy, you did not win the JV show.
Yep, Nope, game, Buthang on, do not hang up.
I want to let everyone know thatit's Champions Day a Legoland Discovery Center
Bay Area where you can discover yourinner champion. They have a bunch of
(45:44):
really cool things happening, epic missions, games, challenges that you can complete.
So if you want to give thisa try during this limited time event,
it's only happening now through June eleventh, just go to Legoland Discovery Center
dot com slash Bay Area to getyour tickets. It's all the stuff you
need to know what's hot in music, movies, shows, and the most
(46:07):
talked about stories happening today. Allright, So, Kylie Jenner denied entry
into a met Gala after party.I don't know why this brings me so
much joy. I actually like KylieJenner. But I saw this head on
it I was like, oh mygod, time. I was so excited
to talk about it. So thisparty was hosted by Dojakad, I think
(46:27):
even Diddy. So Kylie Jenner sherolls up around midnight after they met Gala
to meet up with her sister KendallJenner and Bad Bunny. They're already inside
the club. I guess Lonas Xwas there Paris Hilton, like Anna Wintour's
daughter Gizelle bunchedon and like a bunchof other people. This is a really,
really big party. So Kylie Jennershows up around midnights and they wouldn't
(46:49):
let her in because the club wasover capacity. Wow, And you would
think they would just make an exception. I mean, it's Kylie Jenner wanting
to be inside your club. Wouldn'tyou just let her in? But I
guess there's a lot of people thatgot turned away. Yeah, don't you
just kick somebody else out that's like, hey, you look like a norm
get out of you. Get outnow we're back under capacity. Get through.
(47:09):
Yeah. Um, So I guessshe went to a side door and
someone from the club is going toget her in, but they said,
Kylie got there a wee bit tooearly. They weren't ready for her arrival,
and then she didn't want to waitoutside when there's all these people out
there, so she ended up justleaving because they wouldn't let her in through
the front door when she tried togo. Yeah, you don't stand out
there waiting to get in like ano, like a total norm. That's
(47:30):
embarrassing. Plus there's a side door. Looks like you're sneaking in because you're
not supposed to be there or something. Yeah, you want to go in
through the front door, make anentrance, let your presence know. Yeah,
oh no, but they don't carethat you're there, so you gotta
go home. So sad. It'sso embarrassing, embarrassing. I do some
guys that owned a bar in SantaBarbara, and they turned away Michael Jordan
one time. Okay, see nowthat's I wouldn't do that. Yeah,
(47:52):
because but they said every year becauseMichael Jordan does. I think he still
does. He does his summer basketballcamp there and and he goes out and
goes to all the bars and likethey're very fun bar nights. But Michael
Jordan would never pay his tab andhe would rack up just a massive,
massive bill and they would just walkout every year and he wouldn't pay it.
So the one the next year, they're like, no, screw this,
(48:14):
We're not even letting him in,and they did. Michael Jordan no
bill. It's a lot of moneylost. But again, at the same
time, there's no way I couldever say no to Michael Jordan. I
couldn't turn away. They made abusiness decision. No, sorry, goes
somewhere else. If he gave mesome cloud, then I would like exactly
let him in. Yeah, butif no cloud, Nah, does Michael
(48:36):
Jordan give cloud? I don't thinkhe does. Not paying his tab.
One of his handlers was no,Michael Jordan's notoriously stingy. Really yeah.
He was charging kids for autographs. Why isn't that crazy? Yeah? Wow,
I don't like that any celebrity.I don't like that. He has
a lot of money. Yeah.Yeah, bet he's got a huge mega
(49:00):
I know really quick. Going backto Doja Cat, she might be facing
a future band from the met Gala. She was caught vaping there. Come
on Monday nights. Yeah. Oh, and there was a rule remember,
Yeah, on Monday show we wentover some of like the weird rules from
Magala, and no smoking is ahuge, huge one after people were caught
(49:22):
smoking in the bathroom win year anda lot of investors and people complained because
it could potentially ruin things in amuseum. Now Doja was smoking or vaping
outside. A lot of people aresaying, well, it's not actual smoke,
it's vape. You know, it'swater vaper. But yeah, but
still, and what's crazy is earlierthat morning, literally two days ago,
(49:45):
Anna Wintour was asked what would bethe best way to never be invited back
again on CBS Mornings and she saidsmoking. And now here's Doja cat smoking
at the met Gala. So shehasn't officially been banned yet, but a
lot of fans think it's something thatcould possibly. Let's see if they enforced
their own rules. Yeah, we'llsee, all right, Graham, what
(50:06):
do you have? All right?Nothing's gonna come easy for the Warriors in
this year's playoffs. They lost theirfirst two games of their series against the
Kings before coming back to beat themin Game seven. And now last night,
the Warriors lost Game one to LebronJames and the Lakers. Could have
been a result of the Lakers cominginto the game with a lot more rest.
Their legs were a little fresher, but losing a game at home at
Chase Center is not how they wantedto start this series. Lakers player Anthony
(50:29):
Davis, he had a big night. Scored thirty points. He grabbed twenty
three rebounds. Curry scored twenty seven, Clay had twenty five. Kavon Luney
also had a career high twenty threerebounds for his fourth game of this postseason
with twenty or more, which ishe's been playing incredible. Jordan Pool,
he had a good game for theWarriors, but this is going to get
debated a bunch. He launched avery long three point to try to tie
(50:50):
the game up with just nine secondsleft, and he bricked that one,
and again people are there's gonna bea lot of debate today about whether or
not he should have taken that shotor not. But he had hit quite
a few threes leading up to that. A. Game two of this series
is at Chase Center tomorrow night.I think tip off six o'clock for that
one. By the way, finalscore, Lakers won seventeen, Warriors one,
(51:13):
twelve, so sad. I know, I really thought that we were
going to have that one yesterday. It was so close the entire game up
until, like, you know, the fourth quarter. Yeah, I think
when we started kind of falling behindit not by much, but you always
want to win game one much betterat Chase. I was so confident.
(51:35):
Trust me, I had all mylayers gear on. Last night. I
was screaming for the team. Ididn't help my voice to because you guys
know, I'm like the biggest Warriorsfans. I was like, that was
a stress case during that game. Was it was tough anything else? Yeah?
Well, the initial projections had thisstorm only delivering some you know,
sprinkles and some scattered showers yesterday, but it seemed like it pretty much basically
(51:58):
rained all day. I know,I got caught out in some really really
heavy downpours. Nothing like a littlesprinkle like they thought. Forecasters also projected
that we'd be done with the rainby today, but nope, looks like
we're gonna here more of the sametoday. I know it was pouring here
in the city just a little whileago. Chance for some more thunderstorms.
(52:19):
I know we had a couple oflittle thunderstorms in Napa yesterday, and then
hopefully, hopefully we're gonna start dryingout a bit by tomorrow, but it
looks like it's going to be kindof cloudy going forward. And then I
saw Saturday or Sunday maybe another littlechance of rain, and then after that
I just can't take these wildly inaccurateweather predictions. That is true. Yesterday
it was like anytime you check itand be like, no, yeah,
(52:40):
the rain, rain's gonna be donetill eight pm, and two minutes later
to be raining. Then you'd lookat your weather up and giving like,
nope, it's going to rain fromnow till eight o'clock. It was just
constantly flip flopping. So do weblame the actual weather man, yes,
or you for perpetuating these false weatherreports. I didn't have time to fly
up in the JAV Show twenty twoLove Dofla Storm Track and Weather Blue News
(53:01):
Desk, so I had to runin the parking garage. Okay, it's
a deflate from the way part ofit, obviously. The JV Show on
Wild ninety nine, we got abirthday talk back. Hey Graham and Selena,
this is Thomas from Oakland, Longtime listener, first time talk back
button recorder. I was hoping youguys could do a shout out for my
(53:22):
son on his birthday, which isMonday, May first. We usually listen
in the eight o'clock hour, solike eight o five on our way to
school, shout out Oakland School theArts. It's his thirteenth birthday. We
listen pretty much every day going toand from school, and hopefully you guys
can give us a shout out.Oh well, happy belated, yes,
(53:45):
belated shout out. I came acrossthat I that talk pack was somehow thrown
into the trash heap of talk packsthe other day. I found it there.
I don't know how it got placedthere, but I found it,
and I blamed cheaty. I wantedto make sure if I think chet put
it in there. Well, happybirthday. We hope you hadn't amazing birthday
on Monday. Entire birthday. Wow, the birthday year? Every year is
(54:07):
your birthday year? Yeah, yougot to celebrate birthday. Her birthday lands
on a weekday. You celebrate allthe way until that next weekend. Yeah,
and then that's it. Cut it, oh, alex Ce whole year.
No, you don't celebrate birth years. Nope, wow, nope,
not birth months, not birthday months. Get out of here with that.
I'll give you to the following weekendand then zip it. Move on part
(54:30):
I don't care. You do you? You do? You don't listen to
grams? All right, cheat,CHEETI has something to bring to the g
show. Oh my gosh, Ithought this was so interesting. So um
Forbes list came out with one ofthe best, like the list of the
best to worst airlines. Yeah, and um, Spirit Airlines was number two
on the list. There's no worstor best as best airlines. There's no
(54:52):
way how I don't I don't knowbecause I feel like nobody goes on Spirit,
That's what I hear. So I'mjust like confused at how they became
number two. Anyone who flies Spirit. It's because the tickets are cheaper,
or so all appears, but thenthey tax you for every bad, the
(55:12):
water, everything to fly yourself ifyou want to, everything on a trade
table in the back of your seat. Yes, and that's where the fees
are adding up. So I don'tthink they are the best, not even
close to the best by any means. Let me look this up here.
But you can get the best dI guess like you could get the best
most affordable ticket if you legitimately haveno bag, don't carry anything on it's
(55:36):
just you, you could probably getthe best deal on I've flown on Spirit
before, so by so and also, were we just talking about somebody who
saw them like put duct tape orsomething on their wings. Yeah, that's
so. I just looked it up. So this study was done by wallet
hub. They studied each airline's delays, baggage issues, safe and other factors
(56:00):
safety. I've never been in aplane janky airline. Just because it doesn't
have a lot of frills doesn't meanit's not safe. I mean the viral
video of them duct taping the wings, Yeah, that was aerospace tape.
Are duct tape. The one flightI did take was like the shakiest flight
(56:22):
I had ever been on. Yeah, I would say this they have a
lot of room on their flights becauseI did one and it was pretty roomy.
I was like, oh, thisis kind of nice, like leg
room room for that, you know. I was I and I was crammed.
Yeah. I couldn't even put mytrade table down, hid into my
knees. Yeah, I don't knowabout Spirit became, by the way,
(56:44):
the U the number one airline. If anyone cares, I do Delta like
Delta, Yeah, I don't rememberthe last time I've flown Delta really quick.
Just because you said this was publishedon Forbes, I don't know if
this ties in. I guess alittle bit. Um. My fiance AJ
told me literally like two days agothat you can pay to have an article
(57:06):
published on Forbes, Like there's agenciesyou pay them like ten thousand dollars and
they'll work together your business or whateverpublished so crazy, So it's making me
I don't have a hard time believinga lot of these studies and things that
we read it is a business. Also makes a lot of sense to me,
now that you say that because Forbeswill publish these articles, I'm just
(57:28):
like, what does this have todo with Forbes, Like like there's some
stuff that just doesn't make sense thatand you're like, yeah, but it's
on Forbes, So I guess,Ryan, I always considered Forbes like a
really credible and up there I guessmagazine, And I don't know, nobody
reads the magazine everywhere, but likewebsite, yeah, very credible. Do
their research very credible for like financialnews and stuff. Again, every now
(57:51):
and again they post some stuff andI'm just like, what what in the
and it turns out you've got tobe right, someone's just paying Yeah,
but it's it's marketing because people everybodyout there, a lot of people are
like el it's like, well,it's Forbes, so it's got to be
oh, this is this has gotto be some legitimate news. It's from
Forbes. I guess they've established we'veestablished that trust. But yeah, to
(58:14):
pay to get on there. Ye. News media today in today's world is
it's a fraud. Everything everything isso scammy really quick. I thought this
was pretty interesting. So the SuperMario Brothers movie, which again, if
you don't know, is the numberone movie in the country and it's,
you know, it past the billiondollar mark this past weekend. It's doing
that. That that good. Somebodywas able to upload the entire movie on
(58:37):
Twitter. It's been taken down now, so I don't even want to look
for it, but I guess TwitterBlue subscribers can upload high quality, hour
long videos two different posts. Theyuploaded the entire the entire film and it
got nine million views. That millionpeople watched it for free. Oh my
(59:00):
seven hours that it was up.Why is not even a feature on Twitter?
You know, there's some programmers thatare scrambling to figure out how do
we prevent that from happening? Becausethat was a made your violation very right?
And think of how much more moneythe movie could have made had the
people got to the theaters and watchedit and lost out because it was just
available on Twitter for free for ashort time. But for free. Yeah,
(59:21):
somebody send me the link. Icould have saved a bunch of money.
I would keep telling my kids,I'm gonna take him to see that.
I could have just fired up thecomputer and we could have watched it
again. I wasn't ask you becauseI feel like we're all fairly honest people
here on the JV Show. Wedon't really break a lot of rules.
Break down. Never would you watchthis illegally pirated movie? Graham online?
I wouldn't say it would The qualitywas good. The quality was good according
(59:43):
to do and tweets. Yeah,if it's something I really wanted to see.
Yeah, I mean if millions ofother people were watching it, yeah,
how would they know? It's likewhen everyone else is speeding officer.
Everyone else was going this fast too, sort the same thing the JV Show
on Wild nine nine. So Rihanna'sSuper Bowl halftime show is now the most
(01:00:07):
watched halftime show of all time. Why did it take three months to figure
that out? Yeah? Sure wehave known that like the week after.
So it says that the initial reportfrom Nielsen was incorrect. They had their
numbers wrong. So it's been corrected. And now now we're finding out or
last night that we had during ouraftime show one hundred twenty one million viewers,
(01:00:30):
So the most watched halftime show everNielsen inaccurate. Color me shock.
Yeah, we should have had thesenumbers a long time ago when people still
care. Yes, it's salty fornine to base number one hit music Sea
She and Graham says that we haveto play this talk back, Good Morning
JAV Show, Graham, Selina andSety. I just want to say,
(01:00:52):
have a great day. S yourlast is the meaning is so just refreshing,
even though raining outside and Graham's youguys are doing an amazing job and
your vibe together is just as greatstill and then love it. Have a
great day. You guys were calcumSan jose bye. Oh, thank you.
That has made my whole day.Thank you so much everyone for still,
(01:01:15):
you know, hanging out with us. Graham and I are trying,
we're trying to get through this.Um. Okay, you said the rain
is ruining your life, Graham, you guys, I mean again. I
thought we were going to get atiny one one hundredth of an inch of
rain yesterday. No, it wasNonStop downpour after downpour after downpour. And
my wife and I are currently buildinga house and we're in the framing process
(01:01:38):
because you know, we thought, hey, the dry weather is finally here.
It rained for five months straight thispast winter, and we're like,
finally, let's build some stuff. So we're building. We're framing the house
up, and you know, we'vegot the subfloor down and everything's would.
We're not building on a concrete slab, everything's would. And then yesterday's rain
(01:01:58):
comes and just soaks every thing. Now I've got soaked insulation, I've got
soaked subfloor, I've got puddles ofwater all over the place. The things
are going to start warping and it'sjust like one of those things that it'll
dry out eventually. But I eventold my Wifey. I was like,
I almost don't want to go outthere and check on things because it's just
(01:02:20):
gonna stress me out. It did. I'm out there last night with all
push broom, pushing water and tryingto move it out, and then I'm
like, okay, I finally gotthings, like, you know, everything
soaked, but at least I gotsome of these huge puddles take care of.
And then it just started pouring.I was like, You've got to
be kidding me. This winter hasbeen unreal real. When you started the
house, we were like peak droughtseason, peaked drought years, like it
(01:02:45):
never rained never. Never did youthink that we were going to have five
months of straight rainfall here in theBay Area. Brutal. So what does
this mean because you said the woodwill warp, what does that mean it'll
like expand or something or yeah, some wood that becomes water logs, particularly
like subfloor material. I don't know, get your ap plywoods and stuff can
like they like swell up basically, and then there's gonna be stuff there we
(01:03:08):
got to fix and insulation that's gotto get in. I feel for the
Herbert. It's just a it's justa mess. I mean I want somebody
to look at the weather records byday and tell me when was the last
time on May second in the BayArea that it rained like substantial amounts.
I bet you were, but youwere at a forty year run where it
has it? You know what? You're right? What are the odds?
(01:03:30):
This has just been brutal this wholeyear? So could this actually ruin the
work that you have done or isit just gonna like just delay it because
it's gonna dry obviously and things likethat, or would you have to redo
it. I think there's gonna besome things that we're gonna have to fix,
hopefully not a ton, and hopefullywe get hopefully after today it can
finally start to dry out. ButI need, yeah, I definitely need
(01:03:52):
some dry weather get things back ontrack. Well, I'm sorry, Just
hang in there, buddy. TheJV Show on Wild Night Salve for nine
really Quick, Britney Spears posted apicture of her chest and nothing else.
Graham, I think nothing. Imean she had on. I don't know
if it was a bikini top ora bra. There was something, but
(01:04:13):
it's just a close up of thechest. Okay, I don't think that
you would be mad at this picture. I don't think I want to go
see at the JP show dot comlaptop goes close opened it so bad.
I know he's right now to wthat. It's all the stuff you need
(01:04:34):
to know what's hot in music, movies, shows and the most talked about
stories happening today in the bay.Let us know what. So Pete Davidson's
SNL return is not going to happen. After all, a lot of people
were really looking forward to him comingback to the show. You know,
it's been some time since he waslost on there, and he was coming
(01:04:57):
back this Saturday to host SNL andLittle Uzi Vert was going to be the
musical guest, and now it hasall been canceled because of that right yapped
up on my screen. I mean, you know, as going on,
there as many naked photos of videosthat Britty post. I didn't know she
(01:05:20):
had ths that me either with herdancing videos. I've never seen the like
that anything I would have remember atLike, you guys have really been doing
some studying. Yeah, yeah, definitely. What's with the I'm confused by
what the second picture is about.Oh you know, I didn't even swipe
the second picture on the first. It's a black and white picture of some
guys playing chess. I don't knowwhat that was about chess? Chest Am
(01:05:43):
I missing the I don't know.If you read the caption, she says,
how do you spell chest? Isit chess or chess? Oh?
Okay, that's why she is thata real question? Does she wonder about
that? Hey? You know, just she's going through a lot right now.
Just okay, just look at thepicture. Just look at the picture.
Back to Davidson on SNL. So, yeah, his episode that he
was going to host on Saturday canceledbecause of the Writer's Guild of America strike.
(01:06:06):
I told you about yesterday. Soit affects the Tonight show, Jimmy
Kimmeill Live, the Late Show, and I didn't even consider this. It
also affects SNL, um if youdon't know, writers are on strike because
it couldn't come to an agreement withthe union on matters related to staffing wages
in AI usage. Very interesting. So all the Late I talk shows and
now SNEL going to be airing reruns. I don't I can't think of a
(01:06:29):
time SNL's ever aired a rerun.I can't think of time that's a good
point. And then there's that Yeah, so that's probably. I wouldn't know.
I would have no idea if theywere air a rerun or not.
It's all new to me. Ormaybe do you think they did during the
pandemic, like when everything was shutdown? Maybe then they probably did.
Yeah, I was surprised. Iwould assume. Yeah. Um. So
(01:06:51):
Aaron Carter's mom was arrested because shegot into a fight with her husband over
the remote control because she had theTV too loud. This was Friday night.
There was some alcohol involved, whowas listening to music pretty loud on
her TV. Her husband couldn't goto sleep. They got into an argument
(01:07:12):
that verbal objucation turned physical and becausethe husband I love how he's just like
the rest of us, he gotout his phone to try to record her.
She didn't like that very much. And because the mom's name is Jane,
she had like grabbed his wrist tonot to not be recorded. He
called the police. She was arrested. She was let out the next morning
(01:07:32):
only one hundred dollars bondum. AndI guess everything is all good. Hashtag
married life last night though, SoPatty, I always girl in Hulu.
Aaron Carter is a new documentary thatcame out this week on Hulu. Aaron
Carter is a little Prince of popgotch. I have to watch it.
That was my boy, Yeah, that was my boy. He loved to
(01:07:55):
unfollow me on Instagram. Yeah, yeah, so I will be watching.
Oh oh, really quick before youget to your stories, Graham, just
a quick one line on this.We now know who's going to be temporarily
replacing Katy Perry on American Idol.I told you how She's going to be
av Coornation this weekend. So she'sgot people replacing her, well her Inlinel
(01:08:15):
Ritchie. It's gonna be Alanis Morrissettand Ed Sheeran, which is huge.
That is huge. Who would haveknown he has time to do idol when
he's in the middle of a trial. Does he have to be there every
day at this trial? I mean, I know he was there for some
of it, but can't you knowlawyers, you guys handled this one for
me. I got to go toAmerican Idol. Yeah, pe out,
I guess. But that is areally big artist. They were teasing someone
(01:08:36):
major, So I'm I'm impressed.I'm impressed. All right, Graham,
what do you have all we gotto talk about this? Have you guys
been painting attention to what's going onin Davis lately? Yes? No,
Okay, filming in really scary. There's been three stabbings in the last week
and they've yet to make any arrest, meaning the person or persons responsible for
(01:08:58):
these attacks is still out on theloose right now. Police say they don't
know if the attacks are all linkedor not. They certainly seem like they
are, but I guess they don'tknow for sure. The latest of which
happened on Monday night, a sixtyfour year old homeless woman was stabbed in
her tent. She remains in criticalcondition at the hospital. The other two
prior victims of these attacks did notsurvive. One of them was a student
(01:09:18):
at UC Davis. Even though theattacks happened off campus of the school,
the chancellor has ordered that all thenight classes go remote for the time being.
They're kind of like it's almost likea shelter in place, yeah,
in some parts, because they reallydon't know, and there's been descriptions of
a suspect, but so far, obviously they don't have anybody arrested. They're
stepping up police patrols as well.Again, if the public has any information,
(01:09:43):
anybody that knows anything, they wantany help, they can get tracking
down this person or persons and makingan arrest here. The FBI is not
involved too. Yeah, that's crazy. I wouldn't even go to day classes
and a serial stabber. I know, that's insane. A movie Graham,
anything else? All right? TheOakland mayor says she's outraged by this attack
(01:10:03):
that was caught on video at aside show. I don't know if you
guys have seen it. It's definitelybeen going viral the past few days.
A guy comes out, he's madat this side show that's happening, and
I think he throws like a bucketor something at one of the cars,
and then the crowd at the sideshow unleash on this guy. He's knocked
unconscious on the sidewalk and he's beingkicked and punched on the ground. Is
(01:10:26):
really hard. I watched the video. I'd read about it, and I
watched the video for the first timethis morning. I hate seeing stuff like
that, when people are striking somebodyon the ground who's not responsive, Like,
what are you doing? Your scum? If you do that, you're
absolute worst type of person. Officersarrived on the scene. They said there
were sixty cars over one hundred spectators. This was in a West Oakland neighborhood,
(01:10:47):
kind of near five to eighty. They're still investigating this the actual attack
part of this incident, so wedon't know if there's anybody's been charged or
arrested yet for this, Wow,scary video. I don't even think I
want to watch it. I'm notgonna go watch that. Yeah, I
didn't. I why I get anikey feeling when you watch them? All
right, Thank you Graham, TheJV Show on Wilde Too, the talk
(01:11:11):
Back, Good Morning, Happy humDay. We're almost there. Weekends coming
through JV Morning Crew, Graham,Felina Cheety, Could you guys do me
a huge favor and playtiff talkback.Happy birthday, Matt Daddy. I hope
you have the best day ever.Enjoy your day off and let's go Warriors.
(01:11:33):
All right, this is good,I said, he said, Happy
birthday, Matt Daddy. Is itMatt Daddy or Mac Daddy? Mat Matt
Daddy, Matt Daddy. Yeah,we'll have birthday all right. So let's
(01:11:53):
talk about sausage fingers now, Graham, Yes, I'm starting. No,
these are not like chicken fingers. You cannot eat sausage fingers at least because
their actual fingers attached to a humanU body. Oh but do they taste
like sausages at least? No,they just look like it. So if
you go to the jbshow dot com, he talked about this before King Charles,
(01:12:15):
he's got a case of the sausagefingers. Um, and I don't
want to come off this sounds likesausage fingers shaming. I'm not trying to
shame his sausage fingers, but thisis just what is being said online.
Holy sausage fingers. I know, and nobody seems to know why his fingers
are like this, but they've beenlike something. I don't know, his
(01:12:40):
left hands regular, his right handsnot. I don't probably get that checked
out. There's a you know, one one outlet said it's because of an
undisclosed medical condition, but nobody knowsanything other than that, or if that's
even true. But he's got thesesausage fingers right. And then this week
ahead of the Coornation, which happensthis weekend, where he's gonna finally be
(01:13:00):
crowned the king Um the royal familycomes out with some new royal portraits,
portraits of King Charles. Did Isay potrests meant to say portraits. They
come out with the new portraits, and in a lot of the pictures,
maybe even all of them, Ihaven't seen all of them, but the
ones that I have seen, hissausage fingers are hidden either behind his back
(01:13:21):
or they're in his hands, arein his pockets. People are saying that
he was bullied into hiding his fingerssausage. Yes, the pictures dot com
his hand is hidden so you don'tsee the finger I don't blame them always
do the same thing. Do youthink he had to get because he's got
one where his hand is into hissuit pocket? Do you think he had
(01:13:44):
to get that suit pocket custom tailored? Doesn't? I mean that hand up
above, I mean I don't knowthat would fit in a normal suit pocket.
Yeah, that's a big very They'revery meaty, so they're very sausagey.
It's not just the fingers. Itlooks like his whole hand. Yeah,
yeah, there's something going on there. Yeah, but his left hand
seems does it seem they should havestood on the other sides, and then
(01:14:05):
he could have rocked the left handall right, tucked the sausage fingers behind
the back with the right. Ifeel like his other hand is still sausagey,
but maybe not as bad. Umis this whole thing is coming off
bad. I'm not trying to Thisis why he doesn't want to show him
in a picture, exactly why he'shiding it. I wouldn't want to show
them either, because the internet iscruel. The internet is very cool,
(01:14:28):
so is Selena. No. No, let's go back to a cool or
not list, Graham, you havesome things, all right, What do
you guys think cool or not?Selena's man aj telling me that I look
rich not cool, because he wasclearly lying, No, what are you
talking about that? I don't know. I've never gotten that compliment before,
but maybe it's because if it boostsyour self esteem, then totally cool.
(01:14:50):
I thought it was a nice thingto say. You know, I was
dressed nice when I saw him,and you know, I've got a real
good faced hand going right now. That's the only part of me this tand
that forms. But you know Ilook kind of you know, tanned up,
and I was clean shaven, andyou know, he just he you
know, game recognized games, Selenagame. We have an expression where I
come from a NAPA, a gamerecognized game, and I think he just,
(01:15:13):
you know, he's like, dude, you look rich, Like thank
you. So I'm going to saycool. But that was before he saw
you game. He saw you getinto your nineteen seventy six, he saw
climb into a dusty old four runner. Hate to shoutter the expectation there,
buddy, because I'm not, butat least temporarily I was. Yeah,
I was feeling. It was niceto him to make to make you feel
(01:15:33):
good. It was, and Iwould like to return the callment. He
looked rich too when I saw hewas dressed nice, he had a nice
jacket on. I will let himlook good, smelled rich to game recognized,
game recognized game. What we say, west side nap Fine, I'll
go cool. Yeah, it's anythingelse? Yeah, what do you guys
think cool or not? All theWarriors bandwagon fans that are pretty upset that
(01:15:56):
I'm now on the Warriors bandwagon,Hey, were you really getting like some
comments? I just know that somepeople that are they're a little upset that
now I'm now cheering for the Warriors. I just know you weren't. You
weren't there for the Warriors back beforethis Curry era and the we believe ever
before that. You weren't there forthat twelve, thirteen, fourteen seasons,
(01:16:17):
whatever it was, I don't remember. It was a long time, long
period of losing. You weren't there. So don't don't judge me for hopping
on the bandwagon. Warriors have alwaysbeen my second favorite team, always throughout
my entire life. Well judging,it's not really a bad wagon judging,
because if you were a real King'sfan I wish you are, you would
stick to that, Like, damn, my team lost, But why can't
you here for my second favorite team? Because you don't get a second favorite
(01:16:40):
team. You have your team andthat's it. You don't get a second
favorite team. One out There arelots of people listening right now that fully
support two teams or have a Ihave a favorite team in a second favorite
Maybe you for one just because youdon't like the other one that that much,
But you don't say this is myteam, you know, my team
number two? Yeah? Yeah,But like I like, get into this
I'll stay. I'll say this,I've said it before. Warriors win a
(01:17:01):
championship. I'm not spraying champagn aroundthe room one of my team, one
of my top teams. Let's saythe Kings won a championship. I know
that could happened, but if theydid, I'm popping bottles and I'm spraying
people and I'm dumping it all overmy head. That's just the difference.
But I'm still allowed to root forthe second team, but I don't.
I'm not out there at the paradeacting like i've been, you know,
(01:17:24):
like this is my team and I'mdumping champagn A calling it because it's me,
your buddy Selena. If we weren'tfriends, it would it would bother
me. Honestly, Wow, whatjust being honest, I thought, this
is the same space. It isa safe space. I'm going not cool
on that. But I'm also goingnot cool on the other Bandwagon fans that
I know you're not. I knowthey're Bandwagon fans and they're giving me.
(01:17:45):
Yeah, that's a hard time. But do you think as Bandwagon fans have
a second favorite team war or evenif they're now fans, it's just Warriors
all the way, all day. There's a difference. Well, they see
they unadopted their favorite team when theWarriors started being and jumped on the bandwagon
and abandoned whatever team. Okay, what they used to root for. But
what if there's people like me whodidn't have a team before. Why wouldn't
(01:18:08):
you You're from the Bay Area,so well, I guess it was always
Warriors then, but I never watchedthe game. But like, I wasn't
even a basketball saying in general becauseit wasn't exciting. But I wasn't exciting.
Then they start stacking rings any better. I didn't know any better,
and I didn't. It's not likeI was writing for some other team before
(01:18:29):
this. Yeah, right, Likeyou were just a nice warm seat on
the bandwagon. You've been keeping itwarm for me. Thank you. The
JV Show on Wild ninety four nine
