in nineteen twenty two, in Egypt'sValley of the King's, British archaeologist Howard
Carter and Lord Carnavon became the firstsouls to enter King to Tankmen's tomb in
more than three thousand years. KingTut's sealed burial chambers were miraculously intact,
and inside was a collection of severalthousand priceless objects, including a gold coffin

containing the mummy of the teenage king. This Week in nineteen thirty two,
the crime lab that is now referredto as the FBI Scientific Crime Detection Laboratory
officially opens in Washington, d C. The lab operated out of a single
room and had only one full timeemployee, agent Charles Appel, agent of
Pel, began with a borrowed microscopeand a pseudo scientific device called the helexometer.

J Edgar Hoover, the head ofthe FBI, provided the lab with
very few resources and used it primarilyas a public relations tool. This Week
in nineteen forty one, President FranklinD. Roosevelt signs a bill officially establishing
the fourth Thursday in November as ThanksgivingDay. In seventeen eighty nine, President
George Washington became the first president toproclaim a Thanksgiving holiday. However, it

was not until eighteen sixty three whenPresident Abraham Lincoln declared Thanksgiving to fall on
the last Thursday of November. Andthis week in nineteen eighty eight, in
the presence of members of Congress andthe media, the Northrop B two stealth
bomber is shown publicly for the firsttime at Air Force Plant forty two in
Palmdale, California. At the timeof its public unveiling, the B two
had not even been flown on atest flight. There are still twenty B
