Community Mentorship/Employment for the Disabled

When you talk to a successful person, there’s typically a moment in their life they can point to when the world suddenly opened to them. Often, it’s because an individual took time to ignite an interest, support an effort or somehow inspire them. There’s a local organization that works to do that in our community. Its goal is to empower people to become the best version of themselves. Joining us on The Community Connection is Victor Arreola, founder of Awaking Giants. October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. PRIDE Industries is helping business make a social impact by partnering with them to employ people with disabilities, Veterans and others. It also provides training and support services for those individuals who often face challenges gaining employment. Joining us on The Community Connection is Brian Garbark with PRIDE Industries.
