(01:14):
at the bottom of the hour. It's the NBA All
Star Edition, so that'll be fun. But Rob in the meantime,
let's go back to the NFL and Albert Greer, who
does a great job covering the league. He has his
daily or weekly show up in Boston and Rob. He

(01:37):
talked about why Bill Belichick did not get the Atlanta job,
which of course went to Raheem Moore as here he is.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
I'm gonna give Cap some credit for this because the
Sunday show that we do. He asked me before one
of the shows, can you go find out what the
market for Bill was? And I thought it'd be pretty straightforward,
and it actually wasn't. It was, Oh yeah, he could
definitely get a job as an executive as kind of
an overseer. Oh yeah, he could definitely get a job
as a coach.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
But no one's going to.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Throw them the keys the way that he has them
in New England. So I hope that's not what he's expecting.
And I think that's what it comes down to, is
like teams used to be set up the way the
Patriots have been the last twenty four years, no one
is anymore, and no one centers it that much around
the head coach. The jobs it's just too big now,
and so like I think a lot of This comes
down to Arthur Blank wanted to hire and I have

(02:24):
that on good authority. I know you've heard it too.
Arthur Blank wanted to hire Bill Belichick the head coach.
And it wasn't the money I think he was willing
to pay him. It was everything else that was going
to have to happen, and the amount of people around
him that Bill's going to need here, and the amount
of people that might be outgoing because of it.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
And I think people in.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
That building knew, like, hey, if Bill comes here, I'm
not I probably won't be here for very long, much longer,
And so those people wind up getting in Blanks here.

Speaker 5 (02:51):
Interesting, Rob, Well, if that's what the reason was, Chris,
then a hope Author Blank never wins this Super Bowl.
You can't run a business like that. Yeah, you can't
run a business like that.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
You heard what I said.

Speaker 5 (03:06):
I'm hoping that's not why he didn't hire him, because
this is what happens in bad organizations. They've never won anything,
their team is down and out. And I'm just saying,
if the reason that you didn't want to hire Bill
Belichick is strictly because you don't want to upset the
Apple card, and you don't want to change what hasn't

(03:28):
worked for forty years or however, Arthur, how long Arthur
Blank has owned that team, and that han't been that long.
But Chris, if that's true, I'm just saying, if that's
the reason, then I got a problem with that, because
you gotta be willing to change. It ain't working the
way they've been doing it in Atlanta. And I'm not
the biggest Bill Belichick guy. I've told you that, Chris.

(03:49):
But I'm saying, if that's the reason that you're not
hiring somebody, because oh my god, the guy who's been
to GM or been in the front office for fifteen
years is gonna get put up out or the other
person's gonna get put out or whatever like like, that
can't be the reason why you don't hire somebody. That's
all I say.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
I agree with that that That's what I'm saying, and
I agree.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
With that philosophy.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
If you're the owner and you run things, then do
what you want to do.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Right.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
However, what I disagree with Arthur Blank or or even
if it and Robgie is it that did Arthur Blank
just wanted Belichick to coach too, right.

Speaker 5 (04:32):
He didn't want him to be the GM and all that.
That's not what I took from that Albert Beard thing.

Speaker 6 (04:39):
The way reported it is that Arthur Blank was one
on board with Belichick. The coach was fine with paying
him whatever it is that he wanted. What his issue was,
and the issue within the building was if we hire
Bill as the coach, he's gonna want X, Y and
Z in the front office. He's gonna want this much
saying this, He's gonna want this kind of guy's coming
in with him. And they were not on board with

(05:01):
that stuff, and.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Nor should they have been.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
And that's where I I don't know if you, if
you rob Atlanta, Washington, Seattle, any organization NFL should not
turn their team over as far as the front office
and all that to Bill Belichick. That would be lunacy. Now, sure,

(05:30):
hire him as a head coach. We know he's a
great coach, we know he's a great defensive mind. But
give the front office story, give him full authority.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
No, you're missing what I'm saying. You're missing what I'm saying. No,
I get you. I want what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Okay, you're saying that if you're the owner, you shouldn't
listen to the employees.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
Is that correct? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (05:52):
That that that that that people losing their jobs on
the organization that doesn't win.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
I'm I'm sorry. I'm not worried about people losing your jobs.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
I'm worried about giving control of football operations to the
wrong man. That's what I'm talking about, and that's what
we should be talking about. I agree with you if
you're the owner and you want to go a certain
direction and say your GM, your assistant GM, they're worried that, hey,

(06:21):
if Bill comes in, we're gonna lose our jobs.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
I get you on that, and that's fine.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Like if you want to bring in a new GM
and you want to bring in a new head coach,
of course those guys are gone and you shouldn't let
their feelings get in the way of you doing what's
best for the franchise. What I'm saying is Bill Belichick
neede to just be coaching. What in the world would
I did I see in New England the last five

(06:50):
years to make me think otherwise?

Speaker 5 (06:55):
I just I can't get with a team Chris organization
that is afraid to hurt people's feelings when you don't win.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
That that's that's all.

Speaker 5 (07:05):
I hear your point on Bill you want are you
you want to give he's going to have some say
I'm not saying total control. No, not total, but there's
no way that he's not gonna have Every.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Coach has some get the requismount, but I'm not.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
But but I'm not coming in there with the same
old guys who've been in Atlanta for fifteen years and
nothing's work.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
I don't those guys, Chris.

Speaker 5 (07:31):
If you want to go out and hire a new
general manager and move some people around and go bring
in some some new talent or new eyes or whatever,
that's fine. But the just state of status quo and
bring in Raheem Morris because he he doesn't he won't be.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
Here because he's just gonna coach football. What's wrong with that?
I'm going.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
Because it's bigger than that, because there's other issues with
that organization and picking up place.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Actually, they do have a lot of talent.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Ron the friend offic is actually put a let together
a nice team.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
They don't have a quarterback. That's I mean. I'm like,
I would like to know your thoughts on Bill Belichick.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
I just don't hire him as I would hire him
and I would give him.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
He would have some say, not as some say. What
I'm telling, would he be the coach or would he
be the.

Speaker 5 (08:23):
Coach last GM. No, that's not what I said. I
said he would be the coach, but he of course
would have say and do any say, right, So that's
what you're hiring. Was just so Uber Beard didn't say
Bill Belichick said, if I'm not the GM and bottle washer,
I'm not coming.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
That's not what That's not what he reported. What he said.
I agree with you on the people. That's fine.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
I mean, I don't think that's the conversation. The conversation
is Bill Belichick to.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
Me, and I'm not if I'm not any.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
No franchising in a fell should give him control of
football operations. Bill, you're a great coach, but come here
and coach. But of course we're all together. We have
to work together, and I want to hear your thoughts
on these players. But I'm just saying the GM or

(09:19):
the president, however they line up their organization, should have
the final say. They shouldn't have to cower and colte
the Belichick like like he had it in New England.
That's all I'm saying. I agree with you on your
your philosophy.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
I just think this, this is why certain teams don't win.
It's like a few years ago around, not like they've been.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
I mean, they haven't been a great franchise, but let's
not act like they've been just the.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
All I'm saying is all I'm saying is their teams
and law. But you can't be afraid to make changes.
That That's all I'm Chris, That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
I don't think anybody would disagree. No way.

Speaker 5 (10:04):
Bill Belichick is coming there where he won't have any
say with Wow.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Do you know you don't think Raheem Morris gonna have
any say.

Speaker 5 (10:12):
I don't think he'll have any kind of say that.
Bill Belichick not a guy with six Let's see how
Bill Belichick. Let's see where his next job is, all right,
and we'll see how Raheem Morris does with the Falcons.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
We'll see how trophy they made the right decision.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Of course, the coach should be able to sit there
and be like, these are the guys I like.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
This is why I like him. I would pick him.
I think we should pick him.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Of course, you just don't have the final say That's
all I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
And I think, you know, I think they'd be willing
to give Bill Belichick.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Some say because he's the head coach, but you gotta
be able to work with others.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
Yeah, but nobody says that he's not. I mean, the
last SoundBite I heard from Bill was about not being
But you were about the only one that believed that
sound Nobody came out of his mouth.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Fine, A lot of stuff's come out of people's mouths.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
I didn't believe. I mean, why I didn't believe it.
And now, of course it seems like he wanted more
in Atlanta. So what happened to that? I just want
to coach.

Speaker 5 (11:17):
No, I'm not so sure if that was it, or
if it was that Atlanta was so afraid to make
major changes.

Speaker 6 (11:23):
Rob g jump in, Well, I got a question for you, Rob,
because you're very upset, and I understand about the idea
that Atlanta just didn't feel comfortable cleaning house because they have,
you know, familiarity in the building they want to let
go of it. Raheem Morris coached in Atlanta from twenty
fifteen to twenty twenty. Do you believe in just without

(11:43):
no source? In just your opinion that because they're already
familiar with him in the building, that was one of
the driving forces to why.

Speaker 5 (11:51):
Probably they know him and yeah, they know him, and
they know he's not going to be an overbearing guy
who's going to flex his muscles and tell you to
your the people in the front office, you don't know.
You guys have never won here. I'm trying to tell
you what I bring to the table. And I've won.
And I didn't just win six championships in New England.

(12:14):
I won two Super Bowls in New York and I
did that. I'm just saying, you.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Can go anybody as a coordinator.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
He's going to Yeah, but I'm just saying those are
the things that maybe they don't want to deal with,
Rob g That's all I'm saying is that because Chris
is saying, of course, Bill's gonna have some say what's
the problem.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
What's the problem?

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Saying what's the problem, I'm saying I would not turn
over full say final say to Bill Belichick.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
I wouldn't.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Because I mean Bill Belichick didn't do a good job
in New England the last few once time Brady left,
he didn't do a good job and with final say, so,
why in the world would I give in finals?

Speaker 3 (13:02):
Say? Now, that's all the people in Atlanta haven't done anything.
That's why they've got some good talent. That's why they
got a new they need in a quarterback and maybe
we'll see I.

Speaker 5 (13:13):
Mean didn't didn't they draft a lot of teams messed
up at quarterback, That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
So, but I'm just saying, like they that's what they
need and we'll see that that you know, how well
Morris does there?

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Rob?

Speaker 1 (13:28):
I mean, are they gonna go get Justin Fields? Are
they gonna go get Kirk Cousins?

Speaker 7 (13:32):
Like?

Speaker 3 (13:34):
All? That remains to be seen.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
But I don't fault them for just wanting Bill Belichick
to be the coach. Of course, you get say like
other coaches, but you're not coming in here and just
taking control of the organization. Now, if it was somebody else,
maybe much younger, maybe, but not not Belichick. Now, all right,
it's the odd couple of Christ and Rob. Your thoughts

(13:56):
you heard the discussion eight seven, seven ninety nine on
a Fox Should the Atlanta Falcons have hired Bill Belichick
and allowed him to remake them in his image?

Speaker 3 (14:09):
Remake?

Speaker 1 (14:09):

of fooball operations. Your thoughts next, Chris and Rob the

was a feeling he wanted or would take all the
power in the football department, and that's why Atlanta did

(16:01):
not hire him. You think they made a mistake or
made the right move. Your thoughts, Chad and Cincinnati?

Speaker 3 (16:07):
You on the eye couple? Fox Sports Radio, what's up? Og?
What's up? Chris?

Speaker 9 (16:12):
What's We're good?

Speaker 10 (16:15):
Little rainy here, but I'm hanging in there. Yeah, with
all due respect, CB is right. Coach Belichick lost his fastball.
I think the game is passed him by a bit.
He made some ill advised coaching hires and decisions, having
Matt Patricia run the offense and kind of threw off

(16:39):
Matt Jones development. So I just think Bill is just
kind of out of touch with reality with today's player,
and I just culturally, I just don't think it fits
in atl You know Atl better than anybody get down there,
Edie Wings in the in the Trip club, you know,

(17:01):
AT just doesn't fit. Oh gee, much respect to y'all,
y'all have a blessed day.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
All right, man, Mark, I don't think the game's passing,
Bye Rob. I just think he makes some bad decisions
because you know, he feels like he can do whatever
he wants and has all the power.

Speaker 5 (17:21):
I just didn't see if they said that. That's just
I'm not going off for assuming that he went in
and said I'm doing everything and firing everybody.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
That that's not what the report was. Now, even if
he can, I just don't want him having final set.
I'm just trying to say, like, that's not what I'm
talking about. I just want to make sure people are
what are you talking about.

Speaker 5 (17:41):
I just I've said it four times that he's going
to have say if you hire him, he's not gonna
have you think, is not gonna have say, not like
Bill Belichick. We're talking about final No, that's not what
say that your average coach. He's going yes, more than he.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
May never work again, have a good life. Bill watching
the games like me and Rob. I mean said, come on,
you a coach.

Speaker 5 (18:09):
Coach, Mark and Montana, you're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 9 (18:15):
Chris and I love the show. Thanks for taking my call. Listen.
If Atlanta assigned Bill Belichick, he's only got what two
or three years? Is he really going to be able
to turn the entire culture of the team around in
two or three years? Arthur Blink's got a balance is
he willundriss tearing down what he has now? Which Robert,

(18:35):
what does he have?

Speaker 2 (18:36):
Right?

Speaker 3 (18:36):
What does he have?

Speaker 9 (18:38):
That's what I'm saying. It doesn't seem like a lot
of the second. But he's got a lot of talent
in the building. They've built the talent up. They need
a coach that can come in and see what they
got with what they with what they've built so far.
You know, I don't think they're only two or three
years away. Unfortunately, they've got to they've got to redo,
they've got to rebuild the culture there. And Bill only
has two or three years, and I think we're more

(19:01):
than two or three years out. Sure, we can win
the NFC South any giving year. Whoop to do? That's
not what we're looking to do. We were ready to
win the Super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (19:09):
So so now that you got Raheem Morris, you you
feel like they're on their way.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
They did the you got the coach.

Speaker 5 (19:16):
Now they got the talent already and you're and you're
good with it.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
We're ahead And.

Speaker 9 (19:19):
Well, no, I didn't say that. I thought I'm asking you.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
I'm just your right mind saying that.

Speaker 7 (19:25):
Ron.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
You think if they if they had hired Bill Belichick,
they would never hiring Bill Belichick.

Speaker 5 (19:30):
Do you think that would be the case they would
be They're gonna be better about where they headed.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
Yeah? Absolutely, why absolutely? At four position? Cashe he just
not without Tom Brady. He don't. Does Chris what cash fromplistic?
You can get what he's done without.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
Every time they won they had the top five defense.
Stop saying that. The narrative that when they want to
give Brady credit, No, you now you just you just
have no, it's not now.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
Now he's gonna come the game manager. Yeah, it was
Adam minitary and it was the defense. Now you say
the only.

Speaker 5 (20:12):
Time he won was you haven't changed your take on
Brady and stop it.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
Twelve years and you haven't changed info.

Speaker 5 (20:18):
You do the same thing because winning John Brady, they
won their last Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
Brady didn't even have a touchdown, but it was Tom
won that Super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (20:28):
Yeah no, they won it on defense. Chris, watch the
damn game.

Speaker 1 (20:33):
But yeah, okay, we'll leave it at that, because we
know who watches games around here. Yeah, watch the We
goes to the bar and hangs out in eats wings
and don't even see games.

Speaker 3 (20:44):
Tell me to watch the game.

Speaker 1 (20:46):

Speaker 6 (21:15):
Tower of Trivia, that's right, it is ty Tower of Trivia.
That second poos you are like sports to work in
sports media. The star of this segment you get on
the whole food Algy's case you're in the area, have
to talk them out.

Speaker 7 (21:33):
So let's just say, uh, Seebee, what do you call
like a high value upcoming college football player going into
the NFL? What do you guys call them? Like a prospect? Right?
A blue ch Alex has a very high quality prospect.
That whole foods right.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
We'll say that graduations you gets you to fifteen.

Speaker 7 (21:52):
Before fifteen percent or less, rob if you call it no,
but definitely we'll have Chris Ordain. If everything goes well,
we'll say that they there you go. That's awesome, Chris.
I know last time you said you don't have your
Ordain's license. I looked it up. Takes like fifteen minutes online.
We could definitely do.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
The standards are very loathly right.

Speaker 6 (22:10):
But in any event, NBA All Star starters are unveiled
earlier tonight, and because of that, all of these questions
are All Star related. Flipped a coin during the update
and uh, Chris Bustar gets question number one.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
Wow rarely, so do not botch.

Speaker 6 (22:25):
This, Chris, because this may be the easiest Tigers trivia
we've ever done.

Speaker 7 (22:28):
Speak for yourself, yes it is. Let's hear for yourself.

Speaker 6 (22:32):
Question number one. Damian Lillard is also an aspiring rapper
in addition to be an all star point guard. He
goes by the state and just because you put out
album doesn't mean you're a good rapper, albums whatever.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
He goes by the stage name Dame Blank. Oh luke,
you're Rob.

Speaker 7 (22:52):
I thought it was Chris's turn. Let's going on? Here?
Are you already? I'm ready?

Speaker 3 (22:56):
All right? Money dollar?

Super Bowl, he wants Alex on the zoom just in case.

Yes, yeah, I was waiting for that text. Rob. Thank you.
It's a little too hot.

Speaker 6 (24:48):
All here we go, level number three back to Chris,
wear all tied up ten points apiece. In the All
Star edition of Tycher's Tower at Trivia, Jannie is a
physical specimen. It's built like a guy, which is part
of the reason why his nickname is the Greek blank.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
No rhyming.

Speaker 7 (25:09):
Okay, Luke, you're Rob again. This is going to be tough. Okay,
you read the question ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
Read the question the Greek bank.

Speaker 7 (25:27):
All right, here we go, I'm ready, super stars, oh
the Greek Star. Well, he said super like superstar.

Speaker 3 (25:39):

Speaker 3 (25:44):
All right, Alex, just pay attention to me. Okay, what

Speaker 1 (26:05):
Hey hey hey hey hey he knows the Rick.

Speaker 7 (26:13):

Speaker 3 (26:14):
That is incorrect.

Speaker 7 (26:15):
Where are you going with this?

Speaker 6 (26:17):
Back to Chris for eight points?

Speaker 3 (26:22):
The Greek blank?

Speaker 7 (26:25):
Hmmm, Super said it again?

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Same thing. I can't do that. No one has ever
been no, no, no.

Speaker 7 (26:39):
Got it now? I get it? Okay because super freaking
super Okay, I get it.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
I want I want us to end this game because
Chris cheats every how was that cheating? It's my same clue.

Speaker 5 (26:54):
By the way, speaking of Blue saying the F when
he says super, yes he is.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (27:02):
You remember when NBA games were close not happened? So
terrible to watch?

Speaker 3 (27:11):
So bad?

Speaker 6 (27:13):
Level number four Back to Rob Rob really down eighteen,
Back to rock it is.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
Back to Rob.

Speaker 6 (27:18):
Level number four. Rob Joe l Embiid is getting blown
out tonight has dual citizenship, so it was a big
story last summer when he decided to play for us
A and the Olympics instead of Blank.

Speaker 7 (27:30):
Oh gosh, there's a lot of countries.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
Rob okay.

Speaker 7 (27:40):
Also eyeful? Uh France? Yeah, yes, that I was on
one Eiffel tower, right, I just didn't remember if it
was France. Alex limped over here, Alex eiful one tower?

Speaker 6 (28:07):
Okay to Chris currently trailing now twenty to eighteen Chris
Tyrese Haliburton was traded to the Pacers in twenty twenty two.
He've been killing it since then because the Kings, the
team that drafted him, didn't think he could coexist long
term with d Aaron Blank.

Speaker 7 (28:28):
Okay, fun fact drop. There's also the Tower of Babel,
So that's another one.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
Yeah, all right, here we go Alex.

Speaker 6 (28:38):
Also an Eiffel tower in Vegas.

Speaker 7 (28:40):
Oh it's not a real one, A fake one?

Speaker 3 (28:43):
Is it not a real tower?

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Rob?

Speaker 3 (28:45):
It's fake? No, give my clue or not? Rob read
it again? Forgot what.

Speaker 7 (28:51):
Haliburton but so caught up.

Speaker 6 (28:53):
Couldn't got traded by the Kings because the didn't think
he could pair nicely with darn Blank.

Speaker 7 (28:57):
Okay, Chris, are you ready.

Speaker 3 (29:06):
Any day now? Ben Mala five four.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
When I at least when I give you a countdown,
I go, I'm giving you a real count Here we go,
Here we go out network.

Speaker 7 (29:24):
A network network? Oh, Chris, stop it?

Speaker 3 (29:31):
Uh is such a break terrible, alex I feel.

Speaker 7 (29:39):
You're talking like this network? Oh god, what was his
first name?

Speaker 6 (29:47):
Darn? Let me guys know, na, I.

Speaker 7 (29:50):
Don't think i've met one yet. Neither I've met a Darryl.

Speaker 3 (29:55):
All right, let's go Ben mallows on that you.

Speaker 7 (29:57):
Know network network? Well, the only one I'm staring at
is Fox the.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
Impressed on CDs D, ABC, NBC.

Speaker 7 (30:17):
Right now.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
And I mean that's the only one to come, the only.

Speaker 6 (30:20):
One with logos all over this literally everywhere all right,
Here we go, uh level number six back to Rob's
going to.

Speaker 5 (30:26):
Say crazy LIKEO many words, Rob, this is going to
say crazy.

Speaker 6 (30:32):
This is a good one for you, Rob Shake Gilgess Alexander,
who is a Canadian. People don't know that he's an
MVP candidate as well for the Oklahoma City Thunder, but
he was actually drafted by another team. That team was
the Blank.

Speaker 7 (30:50):
Oh gosh, Rob, is this easy or hard? No? Oh gosh? Okay, okay,
here we go give me a word that i'll us know.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
All right, here we go.

Speaker 7 (31:04):
Okay, I'm sitting in attention.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
So what wed the question? One more time?

Speaker 7 (31:09):
Listen?

Speaker 3 (31:09):
Very clear for.

Speaker 6 (31:10):
Jay Gilgos Alexander currently played for the Thunder, but he
was drafted by the blank.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
Okay, okay, okay, so you know, okay, you know what
you're looking for. Yeah, okay, here we.

Speaker 7 (31:19):
Go on the Thunder. Okay, Kawhi Clippers. Yeah, that's right, baby,
let's go, Rob.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
This is for it. What's the score? Thirty twenty eight?

Speaker 6 (31:33):
That is correct. We are super late, but we don't
care about sponsors.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
I'm about to close this.

Speaker 6 (31:37):
Bad all right, I'm about to with a w Stop Scott.
If we're in trouble, it's Chris's fault.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
Back in the day. You know you can have a
blank answer where you just tried.

Speaker 6 (31:46):
Okay, Kevin durant the nickname the Durantula because he's so gangly.
But Kad said, no, call me the blank because I
serve my opponents. Obviously, that nickname never stuck.

Speaker 7 (31:57):
Chris, I like the slim Reaper's that is the best
that all right, Chris, are you ready to.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
Read that second part again?

Speaker 2 (32:09):
No?

Speaker 3 (32:09):
No, no, we got what Robb g at seven o'clock trying
to get the I'm trying to get the feel for it.

Speaker 7 (32:16):
What's the problem, Chris wanted.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
I'm trying to get the field for the questions so
I can come.

Speaker 6 (32:20):
Up with okay, Kad wanted to call himself the blank
because he serves his opponents. Nobody calls okay slave This
roast got dark.

Speaker 7 (32:36):
This slave server.

Speaker 3 (32:43):
That is a k that is incorrectcorrect? I think it's
pretty close. That's not it is it? It's not.

Speaker 6 (32:54):
You know what, Rob Parker, you don't have to go
because you already won this one with.

Speaker 3 (32:59):

Speaker 3 (34:09):
All right? Uh, Rob, let's end it this way.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
You mentioned it all these NBA blowouts, rob Gi, give
us some of the scores to tonight's NBA games.

Speaker 6 (34:19):
Well, as of right now, there have been four games
that are completed in the NBA. All right, So the
Pacers and the Sixers, which was close with a twelve
point Indiana win. The Jazz beat the Wizards by fifteen,
the Celtics beat the Heat by thirty.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
Three in Miami, and my favorite in Miami.

Speaker 6 (34:36):
In Miami, the New York Knickerbockers beat up on the
Joker and the Nuggets one two to eighty four, Fuzzy
mass as they won by dang near forty points.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
I think, Rob, why you're seeing all these blowouts. And
we've talked about this in the past, is that is
the predominance of the three point shot, and so if
one team gets hot from three, read they can go
on a wicked run, and if the other team is
cold from three, it can.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
Just get ugly.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
That's also why you see a lot more comebacks now
than you used to, because you know the same thing
can happened, and the team can like twenty point lead
is no longer thought of as insurmountable, even like in
the third quarter. So I think it comes is as
simple as that without you know.

Speaker 3 (35:26):
Crunching the numbers. And I don't know if.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
The numbers bear out that they're more blowouts, but it
certainly seems that way.

Speaker 5 (35:36):
It's just hard to watch like it's and somebody can
be hitting threes and you have an off night and
quickly the score goes from six points to twenty six points.
I mean it is, it just seems and maybe would more.
I don't think it's that we're more conscious of it.
I just think that there have been more blowouts. And

(35:57):
I'm sure that somebody some uh, I don't know, analytical stat.

Speaker 3 (36:03):
Yeah, there's literally numbers they.

Speaker 5 (36:06):
Can say that they are more games that are decided
by double digits than ever before, or fifteen or more?

Speaker 3 (36:12):
What would you consider a blowout? Fifteen or sixteen or more?

Speaker 1 (36:15):
I mean, honestly ten, I mean fifteen, I do think
you have to call a blowout.

Speaker 3 (36:20):
But fifteen does it feel today like it used to?
You know what I mean? No, I get that. I
think we've seen too many a blowout. Yeah, we've seen
too many.

Speaker 5 (36:32):
Though I talked about it earlier with the Spurs whatever
down you know, down thirty, the Pistons down thirty in
the first half. Like the games are like that, lopsided,
crazy lopsided.

Speaker 3 (36:44):
Do you rob g what do you think it is?

Speaker 6 (36:47):
I like, Robin, I think, like said Chris, just to
piggyback off your point, THO, I'm going through the box scores.
The Pacers out shot the six Ers from three forty
three percent to twenty four percent, Utah outshot Washington forty
two percent to twenty three percent. Boston outshot Miami fifty
five percent to thirty eight percent from three, and the
Knicks outshot the Nuggets thirty nine nineteen percent.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
So, like you said, that's it.

Speaker 6 (37:10):
All it took was the three point line and everything
else could have been equal and that would have been
the difference, right.

Speaker 5 (37:14):
And there was a coach, I don't know if it
was Papa Vitronde just said I used to look at
stats when I was it was my career. They said,
all I do is look at the trees, made the
difference in the twees and that said that that's the game.
I haven't looked at rebounds anymore, assist any.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
Of that, but that, to me, that's that's why you want.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
Don't want the game to become all three point shots.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
I mean, look, that's the skill.

Speaker 1 (37:37):
If you're hot from there, you're hot, and I guess
you deserve to win. But I just think it's better
off with a balance, you know, and the game is fun,
it's wide open, but you don't want.

Speaker 3 (37:51):
About blowouts all over the place. That's for dang. Sure,
all right, it's the odd couple.

Speaker 1 (37:57):
Chris and Rob signing off off, But keep it locked
here on Fox Sports Radio for Jason Smith and Mike
Harmon because they bring fire
