Speaker 3 (01:06):
XM Channel eighty three.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
However, you may be listening, and we have a wonderful
show for you today.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
A lot going on in.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
The world of sports, of course, and we're going to
get through all of it. So let me bring in
my partner, Rob Parker. How are you, man, I'm good.
How are you, mister Chris Buschard I'm fantastic, fantastic, looking
forward to a good show, looking forward to more basketball playing.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
I know you don't watch the play in, but I'm
looking forward to it.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Yeah, I just say I didn't watch it. I'm just
saying that it's unnecessary. That's all.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Well, you got the gold and it doesn't count. You know,
you got the Golden Girls. Marathon. I figured you know
you might be checking that out.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
I'm always checking that out. But it won't stop me
from a little especially when we see the Warriors go
down in flames. That's a good night.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
They have gone down in flames and not surprise either.
Really well, one and done. I mean anything can happen.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
No, no, no, But I'm just saying against against the Kings.
The Kings are beating them. They didn't beat them in
game seven last year, but they've been two and two.
They evenly matched two and two this year against them.
But I'm saying, like they beat them in seven games
last night. It's a good matchup. It's a good matchup.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
But all right, let's introduce the Akauble Crew and get
it started. The super producer Rob g is out in
his place, our man Shane Mowingard doing this thing. You
just heard her moments ago on the updates Mancy Belanos,
the man with the plan of social Media, and Elijah

(02:43):
Sebunya and on the ones.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
And twos none other. Then, why are you bugging.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
You?

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Marry? I'm doing great.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
We give Mary majorly. Alex doesn't even have an intro
like that.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
It's just that's what it is when you're blessed to
have your favorite, you know.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
But you know what, Amen, but Mary didn't even know
that song at first, right, and now, yeah we.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Had before she was actually I think it was Coveno
and Rich, like the first time I met them, they
sang that to me.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
And then you got right after.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Wow, steal in our thunder. You know that's why I
text Rich before. That's where he got it from, you
know what I mean? Before that?

Speaker 1 (03:29):
All right, Well, let's get it going, Rob and tonight
get day two of this play in tournament, and now
we've got the Eastern Conference. Last night you had the
Lakers take out the New Orleans Pelicans in a really
good game, exciting game, some great performance by Zion Williamson
before he got hurt, and we'll talk about that.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
But that was fun.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
And then as you said, the Kings took out the
Warriors and may have ended that dynasty altogether.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
We'll talk about that later as well.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
But tonight Rob starting just in a few moments the
Philadelphia seventy six ers hosting the Miami Heats, and obviously
the storylines here, you know, Philadelphia was looking Rob playing
as well as any team in the league win their
league MVP Joe LMB Rob he was. He was on

(04:24):
a different level that he was last year when he
won the MVP.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
No. I agree, he was off to a great start,
and I agree that despite what the Joker had done
Chris in the postseason, people may be feeling like he
was sure changed and he came through. I think coming
into the season, I think MB that made up ground

(04:51):
to at least put him on even par not behind
with his play.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
I totally agree with Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
I mean, obviously it doesn't matter now, but I think
at the moment, the point he went down after thirty
some odd games, he was the MVP. You know, I
don't know what the other voters thought, but in my book,
he was them.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
He was right there. I'll say that.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Yup, he did get hurt. He's out for two and
a half months. He's back though, and back to averaging
thirty points. Rob and so Philadelphia could not even play
five hundred basketball without him. They fell all the way
from second to seventh. And they will face the Miami Heat. Miami,

(05:35):
it's almost like they don't I know, their culture Spolstra,
Eric Spolster and pat rolling them care about the regular season.
But it's almost robbed like Jimmy Butler and those guys
don't I mean because they I mean their content coming
in eighth and you know, just barely making the playoffs.
And last year, of course they did that and even

(05:57):
lost the first playing game, and Bill went all the
way to the NBA Finals, And so Heat culture has
really become a mythical thing.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
And so that's what you have to die. I think Rob.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
In the Heat, you've got the mentally tougher team. In Philadelphia,
you've got the more talented team, and it's going to
be interested to see which one prevails. Jimmy Butler, you know,
he's got a little extra grind with the Sixers. I
don't know if he still holds it, but remember they
had him Rob. I'm telling you, if they had kept

(06:31):
Jimmy Butler, and this sounds crazy right now instead of
Ben Simmons. And I'll be honest, at the time, I
was like pretty much everybody else.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
I mean, I love.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Jimmy Butler, but come on, Ben Simmons is the next
one of the next dudes, so you have to keep him.
And he's a point guard with MB the center like
it turned out. You know, Ben Simmons obviously has his
career rob he after this contract. I don't know that
he'll even have a career. I think it's very likely

(07:02):
he's out of the NBA once this contract is over.
And so you know, Jimmy Butler puts it on them
when they see the Sixers. But the question I want
to ask you, if you want to say who you
think is going to win. I'm gonna go with Philly,
but I'm I don't have a great feel for it because,

(07:23):
as I said, I think Miami is tougher. Is that
heat culture gonna really kick in? Or is inbid and
mbid right, He's a bump. He's an awkward bump or
box out or or mix up under the basket away
from being hurt.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
I mean, I'm serious. I don't hope that on him
for sure, but.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
He's a bad move away from either being out all together.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
Or being about seventy percent.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
And that's the problem with Philly and that's why it's
hard to bank.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
On them in any way. But who you what?

Speaker 1 (08:04):
First thing I want to know is what do you
think about tonight's game? And then I want to talk
about if you're the New York Knicks and you're a
New Yorker native, who should they be wanting to see
because they see the winner?

Speaker 3 (08:19):
And who should they be pulling forward to win if
they you know, to play in the first round.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
But first I'm gonna say the problem with the EMBD
thing in Philly, Chris and buying all the way in
is that unfortunately and bid turns to Google in the postseason.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
We've so you think it's do you? I feel like
we're gonna find out.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Is it a mental block ally James Harden or is
it he's always worn down?

Speaker 3 (08:46):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (08:47):
I get that, but I don't know eat players at
some point, you know what I mean, everybody that same schedule,
he definitely doesn't get it done. Yeah, and he hasn't
and we've seen him and it's average dropped what eight
ten points about nine almost ten points. That's what I'm saying.
That's significant. It ain't like you're off a couple points
or something that's significant and your team can't afford to

(09:10):
give up ten points in the postseason from what they're
used to getting from you, Chris. So I have to
wait to see where what Embiid's doing where he is.
And that's a good question about the Knicks. Yeah, well,
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
I don't know if.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
There's a right answer. I mean, I really don't. You
would just think Embiid because that they would rather see Embid. No, no, no,
that they wouldn't oh, because of Embiid.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
And I think.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
I don't have the numbers in front of me, but
I think he's done well against the Knicks and he's seen.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Well, here here's the numbers of Aaron. Tell them, okay
they I mean, look, the Knicks rode three and one
against Philly. Now I think only one of those was
with Embiid, but they blasted Philly with Embiid. They beat
him one twenty eight to ninety two with Embiid and
ty Reese maxi Plane and that's surprising to me. And

(10:12):
then blew him out, you know, another time, and I
think they won the other one, maybe by double figures
as well. Miami against Miami, the Knicks are two and one.
But again, are you seeing a different Miami?

Speaker 3 (10:26):
I hear you.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
I think that's a fair answer. Is you don't know
if there's a right answer. Either one's gonna be tough,
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
I just I can't look at one and go, oh,
without question, it's Miami that the Knicks can roll over,
and I can't say that about Philadelphia. So neither one.
And this is a new step. They man handled the
Calves last year. They were just more physical. Chris pushed
him around. They got the Calves got chumped last year

(10:56):
by the Nicks. I know they don't have Julius Randall.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
They're not chumping one of these two teams. No, that's
what I'm saying. It's a little different, right, Rob.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
It's interesting because, look, congrats to the Knicks getting the
second seed. Great accomplishment, especially with Julius Randall missing a
chunk of the season. But the reward, right, this is
not your typical seven I mean, my gosh, you know,
And to be honest, Rob Boston, after a great year,
and I think they'll win the first round, but still

(11:28):
after a great year at the number one seed, win
sixty four games, by far the best record in the league.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
Their reward could be Philly with Joseph with Joe LMB
that is crazy. If it's Miami, that ain't fun either.
Miami beat him last year in the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
It's funny that those two teams are down there, Chris
in that spot.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
And Miami's been.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
To the championship twice in the last what five.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Years or the four years, well since the bubble and
then last year, So I think that's the last five
five years, four fift Yeah, but this is the fifth year.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Right, because the bubble was like twenty twenty yeah, yeah,
the bubble twenty four yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Yeah, in the last four or five years. You get
my point. They're not chopped Liver.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
It's the same team essentially, Yeah, with Bam and Jimmy
Butler as the core.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Right.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
I don't know, I mean, I feel look last year,
the Heat didn't play well, you know, didn't shoot the
three well in the regular season, didn't even play well
in the play and lost the first game. Had some trouble.
I think it was with Atlanta in the you know,
do or die game, I mean, and then the playoffs
started and they played great and they took out Milwaukee

(12:42):
and ultimately took out Boston. And so I look the Knicks,
I think Miami to some degree, to some degree, it
will be like looking in the mirror, very well coached team, plays.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
Very hard, probably.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
At a higher level than its talent would suggest it should,
and just gonna knock down, drag out war mentally and physically.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
That's what they're gonna get with Miami.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
With Philly, I mean, it's all on nbat like and
Robbie he could miss a game.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
You just don't know. I mean, you you have no idea.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
The dude came back and played I think eight games
and got hurt. Now he you know, he to his credit,
you know, he came back from that game and played
and finished it out. But still and it's not even
about him just missing the game, rob It's about him
just not being one hundred percent while he's playing. That's

(13:44):
you have no I have no idea what I'm gonna
see from them, But I'll say this, Tyree's MAXI is
a handful.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
He's played great.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
And then Kelly Oubra and Tobias Hair is like Philly
has the most talent of the three teams, but Miami
is gonna have the heart and the hustle and the
toughness that will be tough to deal with.

Speaker 3 (14:06):
So I'm picking Philly tonight.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
That means Philly would meet the Knicks and Miami would
meet Boston, and even both of those series will be tough,
hard fought series.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
I think Boston will beat them.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
I don't even think it'll go seven, But I still
think Miami's just earned the respect where you gotta put
the respect on their name. So let's start out to
the listeners. Rob eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox
Simple question if you're the Knicks, Simple question, but hard
to answer it. Who should the Knicks be pulling for
to win this game? Or really who should they want
to meet in the first round of the playoffs? And

(14:45):
they will meet the winner of Miami Philly. That's about
to start. Moment in Moments your Thoughts eight seven seven

Joe Varden who covers the NBA for the Athletic does
a tremendous job. He will join us, but until then, we're,
of course gonna stick with the NBA.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
But we're gonna not talk about a game. Not a game,
not a game. Not a game.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
We're gonna talk about Unfortunately, Rob John Ta Porter who
bet remember a couple of weeks ago, he got suspended
YEP for betting on games NBA games, not ones he
was in, although he did prop bets.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
Well that was the ones that got everybody suspicious, Chris,
because we know this. You don't think that these casinos
in these book he houses, Chris, don't follow the money
to see what kind of bets are being made. They
know how much money on a nightly basis a bet
on prop bets, and they got an unusual amount of

(17:18):
money for John tay right.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Yeah, I mean he's a six to eleven center.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Or he was wasn't drafted. He's twenty four years old,
six eleven, twenty four years old brother Michael Porter Junior,
which probably may.

Speaker 3 (17:38):
Have helped him get in the league. Maybe, but he
did play at Missouri.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
But yeah, two way contracts, so he you know, shuttled
in between the NBA and the g League, and wasn't
making that much money for him, He's making four eleven
thousand stuff like that. But Rob, this young man has
a ruined is an understatement. He's ended his career. Adam

(18:03):
Silver has banned him for life for his gambling. What
are your thoughts? Combination?

Speaker 2 (18:12):
You know we've talked about it before, and you know
it's talking out of both sides of your mouth.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
You're in bed with the gamblers, Chris.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
I went to a CALVS game and they have I
don't remember what casino or whatever sports book right there
in the arena.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
Have you been.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
There where in Cleveland?

Speaker 3 (18:33):
No?

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Okay, but I mean I've been there, but not since
the gambling became right. No, they have a oh it's
all of a sports book inside. I don't know anybody does.
Does they have that Manister Square Garden? They must, I
mean there's no doubt.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
I mean the league is. And we who were Who's
it was?

Speaker 2 (18:51):
It?

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Carry Kittle somebody we were talking about that said it's
going to be a temptation for a lot of players,
particularly one like John Say Murray. Rob making four hundred
eleven thousand, who he.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Can double his money, right, or or or or you know,
put his friends on and Buddy's on giving out inside information,
and you're gonna have the thread of that, but I'm
well to that to that end.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Rob, Here's some of the numbers, all right.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
So he placed thirteen bets on NBA games using a
Friends or Associates online betting account. The bets ranged from
fifty fifteen dollars to twenty two thousand dollars total of
over fifty four thousand dollars bet and he he made

(19:38):
he had came out with net winnings of twenty one
thoy nine hundred and sixty five dollars. None of those
bets involved.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
Any of the games in which he played.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
But he also gave guys information about his health.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
He gave it, they say.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
He revealed information about his own health to a known
sports better ahead of the game on March twentieth against Sacramento,
and that another better who got the information placed eighty
eighty thousand dollars same game parlay on you know, like

(20:18):
a prop bet on Porter statistics, and he would have won.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
One point one million, Rob.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
And that's the game where Porter played three minutes and
then left the game with an illness but the bet
DraftKings didn't pay it out. They probably followed the money, right.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
And Chris, eighty thousand one point one right, that's temptation.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
On somebody like John tay Porter.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Right. I mean that's a red flag. That is a
flatten so much on this guy, you know what I mean.
Eighty thousand on that guy is a red flag. I
don't care people bet one hundred dollars, fifty dollars, ten dollars, Chris,
you know all kinds of stuff, but eighty thousand is
a lot.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
But here is my thing. And I think the NBA,
and I'm not saying, dude, you know.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
The rules, Chris. We talked about it all the time.
People always want to make excuse for Pete Rose. The
rules were always there. You work baseball clubhouses. There's no
sign bigger Chris in the clubhouse than that you would
be banned right for Gamba, nothing bigger, So you can't
say you didn't know. And the same thing here, the

(21:27):
NBA is fortunate that is not a big star and
they can make an example out of a kid like this.
I don't know what you know what I mean as
far as the gambling. So now I think you put
this out here. You ban this kid. It wasn't a
star or anything or any kind of big time player.
And it's unfortunate. Not that he didn't deserve it, because

(21:49):
he knew what the consequences were, But I just wonder
people out there, do they feel somewhat Chris ad for
the kid from the standpoint that the league is telling
everybody else to gamble on their games, you know, and
gambling is okay and and they're all right with that,

(22:13):
but players can't. The same thing with the NFL. You
could not get better all of them all. It's all
of them. I don't know it just see it seemed
rather harsh, But I don't know what those stuff you're
gonna say. No, I know, I'm just saying I don't
know what what. You can't lessen it because you can't
allow this to happen once you mess with the integrity

(22:35):
of the game.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
Chris, you have the WWE. You can't do it.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
No, and Rob and I get and and echo your
feelings about these leagues. The hypocrisy you're pushing gambling. It's
all in the arenas and stadiums and when the teams
are playing and everything, but the players can't do it.
I get the hypocrisy and the way that looks, but

(23:03):
that also I mean, you can't do it period.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
But now that.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
They are in bed, like it all has to be
above board. I mean you you're right, it would become
the WWE, which would be horrible.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
Right that we're basically fake and fixed.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
However, now you've got tons of money riding on it,
Like how are you these gambling you know companies. The
games cannot be fake, they cannot be fixed if you
have people betting on them, you know what I mean,
like betting like like tonight, I'm taking Philly and it's fixed, right,

(23:44):
and how you how you can't run that if people
are betting money on these games.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
And I want to feel bad for him, but you it.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
Just has to happen because you can't let even a
whiff of that in your league.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
Let me let me say that.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
Manty if you're listening, and Shay if you're listening, jump
on because you guys are younger and Chris, I don't
know if you see this on Twitter, but on Sundays
after NFL games, they they believe the NFL's fixed or rigged.
I cannot get over how many.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Yeah, I see it. Do you see it?

Speaker 4 (24:20):
Right?

Speaker 3 (24:21):
Always see that with basketball? It is, Shaye, am I
right about this. There's a script. Everyone says there's a script.
There's a script up there. It is.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
I mean, it's unbelievable. I think my feeling on that,
and I could be wrong.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
But I'm just saying that's the money part, that's the
gambling part.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
But my feeling on.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
That is that that's just people throwing stuff out.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
They don't I don't think they really believe it.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
I mean, no, no, no, But I'm saying anybody the money
infl learning it.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
Is or fixed is ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
I'm just saying it's the gambling part, because Chris, because
people have money on it and they can't believe and
they can't believe that. You know that the team didn't
go in to score right up two touchdowns at the
one yard line and they kneeled down Patrick Mahomes did
something in the game, Chris, people win nuts. They didn't

(25:14):
kick the field goal or something right, Shay, and they
didn't cover the spread or something that you remember that game.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
I remember.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
Oh, there's tons of them, and especially now when teams
are going for stuff on fourth down that they didn't
used to go for Now, when teams feel like field
goal is not enough.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
I gotta score touchdowns, you know, like and Rob.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
And obviously everybody now has heard JB. Bickerstaff, coach of
the Cavs, talk about getting death threats. And you've heard
players talk about you know, people yelling at them, you know,
during the game, and about stats and numbers.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
And point spreads and stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
Rob.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
Honestly, the leagues have to really monitor this.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
I would say, now maybe again, and I'm being pollyannish.
If it gets too bad, and if players get to
a point where they either feel legitimately or they actually
are in physical danger. I'm not talking about necessarily in
the arena. I'm talking about away from it, then I

(26:21):
think the leagues. The leagues just need to watch this, Rob,
because I mean, people are if somebody loses enough money,
who knows what they might do.

Speaker 3 (26:31):
No, that's that's the scary part.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
And we hear the venom and whatnot. Guys have money riding,
they bet their mortgage, Chris, they bet their school.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
And these guys got all the money in the world.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Anyway, They're like, man, you you making all this money,
and now I can't get and you can't.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
Get ten rebounds, you know what I mean that you
can't get ten rebounds or you have nine and you
cost me four thousand dollars that I was gonna my
mortgage with.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
Like, that's where people are and.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
Rob, that's where the leagues have to be careful, man.
And I would even say if if you start getting
wind of stuff like that, and you'd want to be
obviously proactive and do it before anything happened.

Speaker 3 (27:18):
But I would even go.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
As far as to say, right, you need to cut
this off. Then there's a reason this didn't used to
be legal, because you didn't.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
Want people all up on your players like that.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
People still tried it, but it was it was like
limited to you know, the mafia or a few you
know what I mean, like the wise guys and.

Speaker 3 (27:37):
People like that. But now it could be anybody.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
You And you remember the idea of having teams in Vegas,
Chris no way, no, how Like that was the last
place the leagues were talking about it. And now we
got a hockey team, there's a football team there, there's
going to be an NBA team, and baseball's coming.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
I mean, look, I don't gamble I'm not, you know,
I just think they just gotta be careful. And it
seems like it's just a money graph.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
It's just a money graph. There's so much money value.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
You better be careful that you don't put your players
in any danger.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
And thankfully we haven't heard much about that.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
I mean death threats, you know nowadays, Rob, people get
those on social media. I don't want to be little,
but at the same time, it happens a lot, you know,
where people don't really mean it and they're just trolling.
But the league and Rob, you know, the leagues they
got security and stuff.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
They probably are monitor and stuff like this, you know,
So all right.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox, Jontay Porter banned
for life for gambling.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
Your thoughts too harsh? You feel sorry for him.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
Our league's being hypocritical Your thoughts next, Christian Rob The

Speaker 3 (29:26):
Rob, you mentioned it earlier.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
The Warriors go down last night to the Sacramento Kings
and the play in So the Warrior season is over.
Klay Thompson for ten overall for six uh from three.
I believe that was the first n f NBA game
that he's played, Like the entire game where he only

(29:49):
scores zero points.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
Rob, that's gotta be heartbreaking, Chris.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
That's probably he may have never scored zero points in
a basketball game and anything life right like. So look,
obviously just a bad night, I mean, beyond a bad night.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
You can't overstate how poorly he performed.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
But my question to you is more, I mean that
look to me, when especially when you're a jump shooting team,
that's the danger of the one and done. It could
have went the opposite way where they were on fire
and they win, you know, And that's the thing, and
we said it, that's why the NBA played seven game
series and that's why they should so the best team wins.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
But do you think this is the end?

Speaker 1 (30:37):
That's what everybody's asking now, like will they and should
they break up this team, And sometimes.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
You just have to make a change to let people
know that this isn't the same We're not going to
keep living in the past. And oh, let's bring the
band back together Chris for one more try. And man,
we did win that other championship. Nobody thought we win.
This is just a couple of years removed now, like

(31:07):
this is not that team. You gotta get over it
and you gotta start moving forward. They were supposed to
have this qritch with the players that they had when
they drafted, when they got Lucky and got wise Men,
and then they had Jordan Poole, you know, like they
had all these younger players who were supposed to keep
this thing kind of moving forward. But they're not there anymore.

(31:28):
Like they got some but they need but they yeah, no,
they got they got a few, but they need to
make they need to break this up to say that
this isn't the same band. They need a new singer,
they need a new drummer, whatever, you know, position in
the band.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
The thing is, what do you so, I mean, do
you try to break it down to the studs or
I just don't think at this moment is black and
white yet what they should.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
I just don't think. I would not offer Claire contract.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
Well, I would offer him a huge discount.

Speaker 3 (32:02):
I don't want him at any price. Really, yep.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
I would definitely bring him back at some part and
I would talk to him about and he did it
this year, but can you accept a lesser role happily?

Speaker 3 (32:15):
And he look, he was professional this year.

Speaker 1 (32:17):
And he ultimately ended up getting his starting job back.
But if he were willing to come back for much
less money and accept the roll off the bench, if
that's what we need happily, then I would be fine
with bringing him back. But what I would do, Rob,
is if i'm them, I would have it on the table,

(32:38):
not bringing him back. I would shop Andrew Wiggins shop
not oh you know, like kind of be willing to trade. No,
I'm shopping him. He's a big reason why they fell off.
He went from eighteen points a game in his previous
four years with them the twelve.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
This year and shot poorly. And he also had a
lot of issues family.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
Yeah, man, and I don't know what they are, and
I don't want to be little, but I will say, Rob,
everybody has a family. You think you don't think other
NBA players might be going through things like divorces and
baby mama drama and even stuff in the locker room
and just family. You know, families go through all types
of stuff and so you have to play through it.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
But I'm shopping him.

Speaker 1 (33:26):
I'm listening to Draymond trade offer, like I'm talking to teams.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
You intered in Draymond, What do you think? What would
you get?

Speaker 1 (33:33):
You know, not that I'm looking to trading, but I'm
open to hearing it. All right, we got an hour left.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Y'all know what to do. Keep it locked. A couple
