Speaker 5 (02:41):
Uh?

Speaker 7 (02:42):
You know why you're a pro because you got up
at three am to watch the Dodgers.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
I was in wosh ready to.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Go, hear me, I'd like a sluggish No, not at all, man.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
I was up and I'm gonna I wasn't at.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Three, but I got up at three fifty, okay, and
I turn it on and I watched it game.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
I was just teasing you really got up. I was up,
you know, look at my time. I took a picture.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
I took a picture of the TV set when I
was in bed, and you really did.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Of course I was.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
I was up.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Are you now? I'm almost mad at you. No, I
wanted to watch. I did watch.

Speaker 5 (03:20):
Here.

Speaker 7 (03:20):
I am joking and teasing you. Now I gotta find
that you actually really were up. I had to be up.

Speaker 8 (03:25):
I was.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
I know you TV did do it. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (03:28):
I walk in confused because there's no place to park.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
This is my first world problem.

Speaker 7 (03:33):
You know, we have a whole little thing lined up
for all the anchors and reporters whatever, and I'm like.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Hey, where's the parking spot. That's because JayR.

Speaker 7 (03:39):
Harrison Junior, nomar, the whole Dodger's crew, everybody was in
the building.

Speaker 5 (03:43):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (03:43):
The good thing was they brought U some like food
that they were there because they were there. But yeah,
I didn't know you were up watching. Absolutely well, we
get I want to hear what you got to say.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
We'll talk a little bit later that indeed, Major League
Baseball season has started. It's official. Dodgers won four to
one over the Chicago Cubs. All right, let's welcome in
the Odd Couple crew. Got you wouldn't be able to
do any this fine radio program without him, not at all.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Really, we're up. I'm looking at this now.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
You say I was in bed right there. It was
to say, three fifty four o'clock in the morning something
like that.

Speaker 7 (04:12):
You didn't even wipe the cold otch eye. You just
rolled over and turn the TV on, coffing and everything.
All I said was can you pass me to remote?
And then we were going off and going.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
She said, as soon as I get that. As soon
as I get that approval, all your basket.

Speaker 7 (04:27):
Yeah, she said, what I didn't get the ding hold
on or whatever?

Speaker 4 (04:32):
Wait did Okay, that's what I meant you today. Yes,
thank you. All right, let's welcome to the Odd Couple crew.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Alex is our engineer, Bo Benson Bo is our producer
and for.

Speaker 6 (04:45):
Rob g hold on, Rob, what do you laugh when
I play the horse?

Speaker 4 (04:48):
No?

Speaker 7 (04:48):
No, well not didn't laugh at that. I laughed at
the tiger Wood ad libs that you were playing.

Speaker 6 (04:53):
I'm you're of the horse. That's why I'm playing.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
Yeah, that's it. I'm used to you. Steve, the singer
is at the anchor.

Speaker 5 (04:58):
Steve.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
He'll keep us updated throughout the program and until he'll
keep us on track too that you'll keep us employeed.
Thank you, Steve. We appreciate no doubt.

Speaker 7 (05:06):
And I couldn't even get you're getting so fast that
were almost like you never heard of Steve.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Our social media guru does a great job, Elijah on
social media, treating them like the let's get started here.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
And last night we were.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Belly aikin saying people deserve to have their money back
because oh yeah, because the Nuggets were missing three starters.
They were the Chicken Nuggets last night.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
Ain't play like the Chicken Nuggets though.

Speaker 7 (05:38):
Yeah they were missing obviously their star and Jokige another
one of their stars, not superstar, but Jamal Murray was out.
You had Brown out, uh, kind of their great utility player.
So they were out three big pieces, especially the top two,
and you kind of thought, well, they'll mail it in.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Hey, you can't win them all tonight. Not the case.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
How many people ran to the window at Vegas with
money figuring this is an easy win for.

Speaker 7 (06:03):
The for the Warriors, right, And mind you, it wasn't
as if Steph was out, Jimmy Butler was out, Draymond
was out or any two of the three. No, all
of them played big minutes too, and yet they found
a way to actually lose this game one fourteen in
favor of the Nuggets.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
Won fourteen one oh five. Bad loss, and the Nuggets
were getting four and a half. Yeah, bad loss.

Speaker 7 (06:25):
I mean getting Nuggets have some type of continuity and
that they've played together now this most of this team
for a few years.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
But come on, you can't lose this one. And you can,
especially with Joki Jan Murray if one was out. I
get that. If Murray was out. This game was in
San Francisco.

Speaker 7 (06:40):
This wasn't that crib right at the crib, Yeah, you
can't lose this one. But if you're the larger conversation,
if you're the Warrior, Steve Kerr and the Warriors, you
would say, all right, look we lost. Bad night at
the office. Coming out of that last night, Steve Kerr,
he really went hard. I mean explaining how Steph is tired.

(07:01):
He was saying, he's tired. We got to find a
way to get better at getting him breaks. We got
to find a way to get him some rest. He's
not going to play tonight, and he says Steph has
just been sluggish the last few games. So we got
he had twenty points last night. You'd expect a little
bit more out of him in that regard.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
But I just don't. I don't know what tired is.
I'm gonna be serious. And you know I've been covering
this league since.

Speaker 7 (07:21):
Nineteen eighty seven. That was an early one eight minutes in.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
Yes, but I'm tired.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
You play eighty two basketball games since three hundred and
sixty five days in the year. It is shocking to
me that people are tired. They eliminated a lot of
the back to backs, they've done everything. The team's got
ten massuses. You're getting rubbed down every night.

Speaker 7 (07:47):
I mean, it's getting crazy to shun. You know what
I'm saying, like you to be.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
To be an NBA player now, to say, riding next
to a sports writer in coach on a six am
flight in the snow and ice from Milwaukee, Okay, that's
what NBA players used to do, and then fly into
that city and play that night. You know what I mean? Seriously,
only now everybody's tired, and step tired.

Speaker 7 (08:14):
From one, well only he there's if there's a handful
of guys, I will push back, but it's Steph, it's Lebron.
You know, you could argue if Chris Paul or whatever,
he's obviously nobody's really checking for him at this point.
But if they're a handful of people and it's literally
their age, rob, I mean, sometimes Steph Curry, we forget
how he's older than we think, like, oh, he's Steph

(08:36):
Curry thirty, Michael's thirty seven.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
Michael Jordan played every game last year, he did.

Speaker 7 (08:41):
I'm just saying, no, I'm not I'm so I'm What
I'm saying is I'm not mad as Steph needs a
night like there are certain people who have earned it,
is my point. I totally agree with you in the
larger ethos of you know, Anthony Edwards is having arrests,
or Jalen Brunson is having arrest or you know some
guys who are like, all right, you're twenty six, twenty

(09:01):
five years old, what are we resting on. I'm with
you on that Steph has been in the finals what
six times?

Speaker 4 (09:07):
Maybe it's been a long way.

Speaker 7 (09:09):
You know, that's a bunch of extra seasons when you
total all the playoff runs. And he just played the Olympics.
So if there's a handful of guys, I'm all right
if they need some rests, Michael Jordan.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
And six NBA finals and he's and he.

Speaker 7 (09:21):
Had his rest and he's still called a whole year
and a half off. Rob Now he played back. Yeah,
I'm gonna let y'all take that away.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
Baseball is not ro they have play every day, play
every day. All right, let's go here. I really want
to do this more than I want to do that.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
You started it. I know, I'm just saying, that's why
I'm ending it.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
We all know the Warriors fourteen and three when they
since they got the trade for uh, Jimmy Bummer.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
But the question is really, and I know people.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Were ready to say, oh, yeah, the Warriors going to
be a problem in the West and this and that.
But last night was an example where we saw some
of the old Warriors. They lost one one game this
year by forty points at home in the crib. Here
was a game that should have been a layup. I
don't care what you should win, you should they win

(10:10):
the game, right they They didn't win that, And I
just asked all the Warriors bolooney or for lay because
even with the great start with Jimmy Butler, I'm still
going with boloney. I still don't think they're one of
the best four teams or three or four teams out West.
I really don't, despite getting Jimmy Butler, despite Stephs pedigree,

(10:31):
and we know, uh, you know what Draymond brings.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
But still I'm gonna call them blooney.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
I don't think that they I still think the teams
we're talking about our West have a way better shot,
uh and probably and even the Lakers over the Warriors.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
I just I'm not buying them as flat.

Speaker 7 (10:50):
You ever been to a really nice restaurant, which I
know you have, I've been a nice restaurant with you before,
and one of the not your Mama's, which is delicious,
but enough a port chop, a really nice juicy pork chop.
That's what they are. I can't give them full a
that's a little too much and out of my giving
them maloney, that's too low.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (11:08):
You mentioned the three or four. I do believe in
that part of stream you are. I know you know,
and I was looking for Rod Parker, look for the
extremes left or right way over there. I believe they
abstoually are a content their top four. I still got
the Nuggets, the Lakers, okay see, and the Warriors. Those
are the four. I'm not Houston's fun to watch. They're young,
they're a little too early. Minnesota disappointing this season as

(11:30):
a whole. Anthony Edwards is playing great the last couple
of months, but as a whole little disappointing. I don't
know if I buy Memphis yet, So I'm putting the
Warriors past them just based off championship.

Speaker 4 (11:38):
It's is number two.

Speaker 7 (11:40):
Yeah, I still if they got in the playoff series,
I don't know what it would take to win. I
would have to go with the Warriors over. It just
goes back to what we talked about with Cleveland.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Put them in the second half, the second four. I really,
I really, that's fair, and that's a fair point.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
I had.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Losses and then and that when you're talking about Steph
needs rest and these are home games.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
The forty point loss was at home.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
I mean this one again, a night where they rested
everybody and they got well at home, they got blown out.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
There's been some really stinkers with this team. I'm not
mad at that.

Speaker 7 (12:15):
The only thing I have if I see them against
a Memphis, against a Houston, against a Clippers squad, I
just don't know if the other teams understand what every
single possession means and what it takes to win, as
Stephan Draymond and even Jimmy who's been a couple of finals,
and some of the other pieces on that team who
have been to the finals with that team as well.

(12:35):
So I just they're not one, two, three for me,
if I'm slating them, you know you got Okay, see,
you got Denver, you got the Lakers, and then they'd
be there the Warriors, and that four for me of
just if they get in they know what it's like.
They understand every possession matters both sides of the ball.
They have that continuity, they have that familiarity with the Corps,

(12:56):
and then now you add a playoff performer in Jimmy Butler.
They still got a ways to go. I wouldn't say
they're going to win the West at all, but they're
right in that mix of they'll be toughed out and
I'll put them in that top four. So really nice,
juicy pork shot with some nice herbs and season and
feeling good. Not Falley though Flay is a little too
top tier all right.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. And we want
to find out a terrible stinker at home for the Warriors.
Are they blogoney or flat? As we near the postseason?
Where do you have them? Are you buying into playoff
Jimmy to Jimmy Butler factor? And has he improved the

(13:36):
Warriors that much or maybe not as much as we thought?
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. It is The
Odd Couple, Rob Parker Kelvin Washington right here on a

For life out here all right, boloney or filet The
Warriors fourteen three since gimme Jimmy getting Jimmy Butler eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
So we got Max in Colorado. You're on the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Max?

Speaker 9 (15:21):
Hey, yeah, you gotta do it. Hey, guy's a quick question.

Speaker 10 (15:25):
So talked about playing eighty two games, and uh, you know,
MJ played eighty two games and they all day. But
what about like the offensive now, like there's more fast break,
there's more pick and rolls, there's more running around that court.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
There used to be defense where people used to lean
on you or touch you. I mean there was a
lot of physicality that could wear on you as well.

Speaker 7 (15:47):
And to add to that, real quick, Max, Max, I'll
let you. I'll let you rot Max, real quick. Sometimes
we forget because we only think of like the early
two thousands when it started to get slowed down and grind.
In the late nineties, Dude, them eighties seems bucks going
back and for go look at the school. Look at
the Denver teams fifty fives due they used to. I
think sometimes we forget those eighty teams will going. But

(16:10):
I get your go ahead, Max, Your point though on
the Warriors, just a yeah, this quick.

Speaker 11 (16:14):
Thing so I'm twenty nine, so I don't remember.

Speaker 4 (16:16):
Oh yeah, your young brother trusts.

Speaker 10 (16:18):
They used to get me so much more running around
the court now like people are getting open.

Speaker 4 (16:23):
But it's easier to Rob's point for two games. Okay,
are you on the Warriors? What are they Blogonia fil
A with that Bolognia Fila the Warriors?

Speaker 5 (16:34):
Oh no, they're yeah, they're not going anywhere.

Speaker 4 (16:36):
So okay, so you got them. I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Reese in Lexington, you're on they couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (16:43):
What's up, Reese?

Speaker 9 (16:44):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (16:45):
Yo? Yo?

Speaker 11 (16:46):
Would Here's what I'm gonna say. I'm gonna say they're Fila.
But at the Golden Corral, Oh my, oh my, like
like that. That's what that's what they are, you know.
I mean, look at Draymond, he looks you need to
catch up on hor I mean this guy guy, I

(17:07):
won't see him last night. This guy is he's the
worst watching the NBA. I mean, this is Kurt Rampits.
This guy is horrible. I can't believe, you know, they
try to say that they gonna win the championship.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
He's crazy, Thank you, said the Golden Corral joint. I know,
Andre in Massachusetts. You're on they couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Dray, Hey, how you doing?

Speaker 12 (17:31):
Thanks for taking a call.

Speaker 7 (17:32):
Listen.

Speaker 12 (17:33):
I got to say the Warriors are more Bologna right
now and then falle. I know that there's been a
bump since there Jimmy Butler trade, but there's no love
lost in the Western Conference. Even though they are the
SUC seed and out of the playing, the Timberwolves and
the Clippers are right.

Speaker 5 (17:47):
There with them.

Speaker 12 (17:47):
You know, those are two organizations they might.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Still get in. The Warriors could be in the playing.

Speaker 7 (17:53):
Without a doubt. I mean they got a late to
getting good. They start off too bad.

Speaker 12 (17:58):
Yeah, and even though the West at the bottom of
the playing, you know, you have teams don't know what
they're doing, i e. The Mavericks and the Suns. That
looks like where the Warriors could get could end up.
So I don't think they can take their foot off
the pedal.

Speaker 5 (18:09):
That's what concerns me.

Speaker 12 (18:10):
I think Steph needs to be playing tonight and they
need to be all in to stay out of the
playing and give themselves a puncher's chance. Listen, the dynasty
has faded, the glory days are over, but they could,
in theory, challenge some of the upper echelon teams in
the West in the best of all possible worlds. But
I don't think they're there yet. I think they're blooney
right now.

Speaker 5 (18:28):
They still have much to prove. Thanks taking the call,
dre Right, thank you.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
How about Sean in Sacramento. Sure, couple of Fox Sports Radio?

Speaker 13 (18:38):
Yeah, my ol another brother cousin, Kelly, and my brothers
behind the board. Man, Look, they are definitely not Bologney.
They are impossible, Burger, there's nothing about the joke.

Speaker 14 (18:51):
Man, We forget man.

Speaker 13 (18:53):
Steph is thirty four.

Speaker 14 (18:55):
This man, Jimmy pushing thirty.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
Three, step thirty seven. Come on, Shawn thirty seven. Oh
my gosh, just had a birthday March fourteenth.

Speaker 5 (19:03):
There you go.

Speaker 14 (19:04):
And Draymond looked like he got about the same amount
as grades as Uncle Rob. Right now, No way, Man,
the deeper they get into the season, the more they're
going to show their age. Jimmy has never been the
type of guy to be that durable unless his team
is front running, and step is just a bone bruise
or shoulder ache away.

Speaker 13 (19:21):
From missing the entire playoffs.

Speaker 14 (19:22):
This team will get eliminated in the playing game, just
like they did against the Sacramento Kings a couple of
years ago.

Speaker 5 (19:29):
Go ahead, and Boocket.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Coming on to the what about Brandon California. You're on
the couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 9 (19:39):
God on, man, I've been off for they switched to
my WIPS schedule, so I was listening to you off
through the podcast. So it's good to be back to here, y'all.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
Lie, Yeah, where you been? We were wondering again.

Speaker 9 (19:54):
I wish I could do that, But that leads to
that point the fact that I have to do with
somebody telling me to do just like you all. Doug
Curry rest tire myself and I don't get the nearly
what that man getting a game. So that's just a
bunch of craft talking about tires bro. He should know better.

(20:15):
He played in the days where they were brutal, so
he know he shouldn't say spuck like that. But Warriors,
because they don't have a big man, they are Bologna.
They shown me yesterday Aaron Gordon. He instarted himself all
in between them because they were small. He pushed Draymond

(20:35):
out the way, he put his jimmy out the way.
He just grabbing the rebound like they they Westbrook is
playing bully ball with him, and that's where the weakness are.
And that's what the bologney and they might not be
cheap baloney, but you know, but they're bologna.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
And Oscar Meyer, my boloney has our first name. It's
osc as.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
A second name. It's me.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
Why are.

Speaker 4 (21:03):
Steve help me out?

Speaker 15 (21:04):
I love to eat it every day? And if you
ask me why, I'll say Oscar Meyer has the way

Speaker 4 (21:14):
O and I had a glizsy in my mouth. I
need a remix. We need a remix.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
But as I've said before in the show, why is
it that people who can sing the least want to
sing the most?

Speaker 4 (21:24):
And I can't please? I don't know that you.

Speaker 6 (21:31):
Didn't spell eagle better than the mayor, so that's okay?

Speaker 1 (21:34):
Yes, I felt like I was all, what was the
vice president who couldn't smell potato?

Speaker 9 (21:39):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (21:39):
Yeah, who was that? I remember that?

Speaker 8 (21:43):
And and a student the kids the kid in a
spelling yes.

Speaker 4 (21:48):
Don't you.

Speaker 7 (21:48):
That's the thing about life. You can do ninety nine
things right. Steve that one wrong? Remember you did that thing?

Speaker 8 (21:57):
You got to say that most vice presidents aren't remembered
at all.

Speaker 4 (22:00):
That's track.

Speaker 7 (22:01):
All right, good boy, Chus, I don't know Mike Fans. Sorry,
all right, let's fine. We got Eapra Salam coming up
right now. We're gonna find outs with trending and he
won't sing to you. Steve de Seger, Yes, absolutely, that
is a promise I will keep. First four NCAA tournament

The window Yoshinobu Yamamota, who went five innings zunsight Dodger.

Speaker 8 (23:48):
You're not going to do that the rest of.

Speaker 4 (23:49):
My cat and sixty one.

Speaker 8 (23:52):
Here we go, Dodger sharkstop.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Mookie Betts will miss both opening games in Japan after
an illness. The Cubs and Dodgers play again. The second
day game is on FS one, also at six am
Eastern Time Wednesday.

Speaker 4 (24:04):
Back to you, Steve, I watched the game. Were you
up this morning or no?

Speaker 3 (24:08):
I was here late last night, so the game ended
before six am Pacific. As I mentioned on Sunday Night Show.
The DVR is one of the great inventions of my lifetime.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
So you were able to watch it.

Speaker 8 (24:18):
Absolutely, I took full advantage of that.

Speaker 5 (24:21):
But I did.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
I was watching started at three point fifty and I
watched till the end of the game.

Speaker 4 (24:25):
Oh wait, you set your alarm or you just rolled
over and rolled on?

Speaker 3 (24:29):
Did you notice there were two completely different telecasts They
had the local Dodgers broadcast at Joe Davis and the
Fox broadcasts with Benetti But they weren't there though.

Speaker 8 (24:41):
The Dodger announcers were there.

Speaker 4 (24:43):
Right, But the Fox guys they were not in Japan.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
Yeah, and Benettie was talking about like he's got NBA
to do and isn't going to be doing tomorrow mornings.

Speaker 7 (24:51):
Yeah, crazy, that's kind of it's kind of weird. You
made a big deal of it so much so to
send everybody like to make it doesn't make any big deal.
Why wouldn't you say you send the two announcers and then.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
And I'm also surprised because Joe Davis wants it there
over the weekend for the exhibitions on the air.

Speaker 8 (25:05):
But I did see him this morning.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
Okay, okay, all right, maybe I had an LA flight.
I don't know, I don't know.

Speaker 7 (25:09):
All right, Thank you, Steve Odd Couple Comedy live from
the tire Rack dot Com Studios on a trash Talking
Tuesday right now.

Speaker 4 (25:17):
As always, we are joined by.

Speaker 7 (25:20):
Our man, Efram Salaam, former NFL offensive line and Fox
Sports Radio weekend host E Fram Salaam on Twitter.

Speaker 4 (25:26):
AKA X what's up? E? What's up? What's good Man doing?
Good Man?

Speaker 7 (25:34):
I want to talk to a bunch of talked about
you want to go, Rob, We want me to start
it off, just so it off so Eve, we know
Aaron Rodgers is still mulling things over. You got the
Steelers who are inn option? You got maybe the Giants,
if he stays in New York and goes across the
you know, across the river, the Vikings, if they were
to do something with them.

Speaker 4 (25:50):
If we go to the Giants, for instance, what.

Speaker 7 (25:53):
Do you make of, Hey, there's an idea of we
get Aaron Rodgers, we get a Russell Wilson, we got
that veteran, but we still go get a Shador Sanders
Mike because they're going to wear and need somebody in
the future.

Speaker 4 (26:05):
Do you like that plan for those types of teams
the Giant No.

Speaker 5 (26:09):
No, no, no. I think the Giants, if they want
a quarterback, I think they draft their quarterback and develop
their quarterback. I don't think you play this experimental game
with Aaron Rodgers you want to talk about You don't
want to bring a destabilizing force into a destable situation

(26:31):
or an unstable situation. So it's one of those situations
where we've seen the world has seen firsthand how inept
the New York Giants organization is and some of the
decisions they've made. You don't want to keep adding on
to those type of decisions. So you want to start
fresh and let people understand and know that you're moving

(26:55):
ahead with you know, if it is your door, like
you're investing the time and the energy and the pick
and the resources into getting this right. He definitely has talent.
Can you cultivate that or do you want to bring
in something that can destabilize your locker room?

Speaker 1 (27:13):
Okay, let me say this to you. You know, people
are uh, this general manager and the coach. They trying
to save their jobs as well. They had a bad
year last year, right made a bad decision and now
they had to live with that. And part of it
because I believe that part of the idea is we
can't afford to have a rookie quarterback go one in

(27:34):
sixteen or two in fourteen.

Speaker 4 (27:36):
We're gonna get.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
Even though he's a rookie, We'll wind up getting broomed
out and the GM and that's why I think that
that's why they would try to do something to at
least to say, yeah, not to have a terrible tennis.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
Eight or whatever.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
Ephram, is that possibility because I look at the same
thing with the Steelers. Mike Tomlin has not won a
playoff game since twenty sixteen. Like the time has come
he needs to win a playoff game. And I think
that's why teams like this are looking at a veteran quarterback.

Speaker 4 (28:08):
Am I crazy?

Speaker 5 (28:09):
Yeah? Well, the Giants don't. I don't believe they fit
into that. I don't think Aaron Rodgers is going to
save your job. That's the part. That's the whole point
with the Giants. They've made tremendous missteps, and I don't
think that Aaron Rodgers, who hasn't been good in five year,
four years, is going to come in and save your job.

(28:30):
What did he do with the Jets?

Speaker 4 (28:32):
He had the same.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
Stats as Patrick Mahomes last year, same identical.

Speaker 5 (28:36):
Didn't he get everybody fired? No?

Speaker 1 (28:37):
No, no, But I'm just saying I'm just talking about
the numbers. He had the same stats as Patrick.

Speaker 5 (28:42):
I'm telling you, did that equate to the playoffs?

Speaker 9 (28:45):
No?

Speaker 4 (28:46):
But I'm just trying to give you, like a context,
that's all.

Speaker 5 (28:49):
Yeah. But the context is the Kansas City Chiefs are
are well run organization with one of the best coaches
to ever do it. Be read. If the Giants don't
have any of that, they're not well run, they don't
have one of the best coaches they ever do it.
You can't compare numbers to a quarterback that you're trying.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
I'm just trying to.

Speaker 5 (29:10):
Give you, like one of the greatest ever.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
I'm just trying to give you the Giants coach and
general manager. Trust me, they're on the hot seat and
they know it, and they can't it. They can't afford
to have a rookie quarterback who's not ready or who
plays toilet.

Speaker 5 (29:24):
They having Aaron Rodgers quarterback who isn't ready. He just
got a whole organization turned upside down. But he just
did it across the bridge.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
I've been I've been doing I've been following the Jetsons
I was in high school. Trust me, it wasn't just
Aaron Rodgers. They've been doing it since nineteen sixty nine.
I'll say that let's go to let's go to the
let's go to the Bengals. And they're paying all the
wide receivers. Have they saved enough money to pay some
defensive players because last year, as we saw, their defense
couldn't stop anybody. How how good and bad is this?

Speaker 5 (29:57):
Yeah, well it's terrible because they're all. Defense wasn't the
problem last year. Their defense was the problem. Joe Burrow
put up historic numbers so much so people were trying
to lobby him to be considered an MVP candidate, even
though they had a losing record and didn't make the playoffs.
So obviously our offense wasn't the problem. You can't stop anybody.

(30:22):
You can score forty points, but you can give up
forty one. And so you know they're addressing what Joe
Burrow wants, right, he wants his two receivers. He probably
should get some offensive line, and they probably should get
some ed rusher and at least one more dB to
try to shore up that defense. Look, I don't know

(30:45):
what Cincinnati's doing. They could have paid both are either
one of these receivers last year prior to even getting
to this, to this number, this resetting of the market,
I think it's a waste of money. Now look talented,
But will that help them start fast because the last
three years they haven't started fast, two of them missing

(31:07):
the playoffs. I don't know if paying a bunch of
receivers sixty percent of the cap light is going to
save you in the long run as a team.

Speaker 7 (31:17):
A from man, I got to ask you about this,
your brother, who has so many endeavors. You're a businessman.
You obviously film TV world. But let's go back, you're
twenty five, twenty six. Let's say you're one of the
best offensive linemans in the league. And I'm using this
with Michael Parsons. How do you do you not care?
Because he singularly is producing the team and didn't produce

(31:38):
obviously this season, but he is still produced over twelve
sacks every year the first four or five years in
the league.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
We know he's great. But he's getting into it with everybody.

Speaker 7 (31:46):
Right he now is DeMarcus Lawrence Leaves and he's calling
him doing clown activity and they're going back and forth
on Twitter, and he's really doing all the podcast stuff
and not mentioning Dak Prescott in his top ten quarterbacks
and talk about, Wow, we don't really care about Mike
McCarthy's about the guys who've been here as long as
that's what my What do you do if you're a
GM at that Do you just ignore it because he's great?
Do you address it? Do you just say, hey, he's

(32:07):
a young man in twenty twenty five, that's what they do.
How would you handle if you were a coach or
a GM or someone around him is a big deal
or no deal?

Speaker 5 (32:15):
Well, it's a big deal. Like I said, you know,
locker room integrity is the biggest thing, right. If you
can't control the locker room as good as Mike Tomlin
is and has been as a coach, we've seen some
destabilizing forces come through that locker room and it kind
of sidetracked them correct, especially in the receiver room. As

(32:35):
good as Mike Tomlin is, that was a situation that
ended catastrophically for Pittsburgh Steelers. Yeah, they don't have losing records,
but it allows it built up a culture and it
started something with Antonio Brown and then Le'Veon Bell. Like,
those destabilizing forces in your locker room are a problem.

(32:56):
If you have your best player and Dak Prescott, I mean,
excuse me, Michael Parsons is Dallas's best player. If you
have him uh in a volatile role, uh being a
voice of of negativity, it's going to cascade down over
the rest of the team. At what point will the

(33:17):
GM are the owner? I mean they thrive in that
that level of chaos though, that's that is the Dallas Cowboys.
They thrive in that. They just don't have the talent
to back it up and to then to and to
wallow in that. So yeah, I personally believe. Hey, I'm
all for you having your brand and having a voice

(33:40):
and and and doing all of that. But anything you're
doing to detract from what our mission is, our team unity,
then we got you got. If you don't nip it
in the bud, then you got to I mean trade him.
I mean a little bit too late to trade him now,
because you know, all the free agentcy are and all
that are gone, but you have to really secure that

(34:02):
locker room. And when you have those fractions and guys
stepping out against coaches and other players, it's the problem.

Speaker 7 (34:11):
All right, Well, appreciate you man, as always. We'll do
it next week from you. Give him a follow on Twitter.

Speaker 1 (35:52):
It happens, man, It's just unbelievable that happened more Yeah, Well,
you know what's funny, we were just talking about this bow.

Speaker 7 (35:59):
Now that every single human being has a camera phone,
we document things like that might have happened in ninety five.

Speaker 4 (36:06):
We just wouldn't have known it. Per se. You know,
but like it ain't nothing slipping out.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
I'll say this, that's how we know there's no bigfoot
because everybody's walking around, everybody's walking around.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
With a camera.

Speaker 7 (36:18):
There's not a bigfoot. A lot of these things that
we watch shows on cable and that, like did you
hear that it was on? How many had caught the ghost?

Speaker 4 (36:28):
And all that? And nobody has a picture of them?
Where where's bigfoot? The only argument I would have to
that is would you believe it if you saw it?
If I saw it?

Speaker 7 (36:37):
If I literally recorded a ghost walking by here, yes,
how many would go? Oh that's cgi. I mean, I
can do that in photo shop.

Speaker 4 (36:43):
You know what I mean. But I'm just saying by now,
and it's always blockednous monster?

Speaker 5 (36:48):
Where is it?

Speaker 7 (36:49):
Right?

Speaker 4 (36:50):
All this time?

Speaker 7 (36:50):
We too haven't seen it? They say, we still don't know,
like Alex would know Alex, Alex is their bigfoot? Could
be No, that's not what I asked you, Yes or no? Yes,
there's no bigfoot.

Speaker 6 (37:03):
I believe it. I can take my show off right now.

Speaker 4 (37:08):
We don't.

Speaker 7 (37:08):
We don't have the sound effects because I would have
hit him with a book that would hit you with
that bank Now a little high over there or something.

Speaker 4 (37:15):
Man, what you're doing over there? We eat some organic strawberries.

Speaker 7 (37:18):
Yes, actually you'd be proud of me looking at my
plate of nothing but fresh oranges.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
You see this?

Speaker 6 (37:23):
Ain't you only have four pounds?

Speaker 5 (37:24):
Then?

Speaker 4 (37:24):
Huh No, I'm no. See how I compliment him and
then he does me.

Speaker 7 (37:29):
I'm just he's gonna be so mad when I come
back shot shirtless summer twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
You're gonna be so mad. I'm in a shirtless summer
h two summers ago. I was gonna say six. I
think you'll be surprised up under here. It ain't as
bad as you think. If I'm gonna show you a picture,
So Rob G says, do I need to pause.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
That or not?

Speaker 4 (37:48):
But I'm gonna show your picture. Pause, but I'm gonna
show you a picture.

Speaker 5 (37:52):
Alex.

Speaker 7 (37:52):
All right, if I heard get this this segment, over
this picture, you're talking too much smack right now?

Speaker 1 (37:57):
All right, let's return to the NFL and bo, we
we have this sound, don't we. So this is Kim Hayward. Yeah,
he big time defensive player, literally big. He's a massive
human being for the Steelers.

Speaker 7 (38:12):
And he was on a podcast and They asked him
a question about Aaron Rodgers coming to the Steelers what
his thoughts were.

Speaker 4 (38:17):
Here's what he had to say.

Speaker 16 (38:18):
I ain't doing that the darkness Darkness treat retreat. I
don't mean any of that crap like either you want
to be a Pittsburgh Steeler or you don't. That's that's simple.
That's the pitch. If you want me to recruit, that's
the recruiting pitch man. You know, Pittsburgh Steelers. If you
want to be part of it so big. If you don't, No,
no skin on my back.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
Your thoughts.

Speaker 7 (38:41):
I just.

Speaker 4 (38:43):
It didn't it didn't sound as bad as I read it.

Speaker 7 (38:46):
No, And to be fair to see a little backtrack
the question who I don't know if bolk and look
at him.

Speaker 5 (38:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (38:53):
His point was, hey man, you're a big time guy
with the Steelers, you know, make a pitch to Aaron Rodgers.
He says, hey man, come on a darkness retreat with
me for a couple of days and talk to me.

Speaker 4 (39:01):
That was the thing. But here here is my thing.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
And I know we see the stories and we talked
about it before teams being held hot. He's a free agent,
and I just I don't understand. I know people would
like to. I guess there's three teams vying for him,
and maybe you know, after Aaron Rodgers picks a team,
then the other two teams can get figure out. But

(39:24):
I don't think there's anything that you have to rush.
I think I really don't. I think this is a
free agent period, and I don't know why people are bothered.
Like half the people say he can't play, but then
they're mad at him to hear and picked one of
the three teams that want them.

Speaker 4 (39:38):
Stop looking at me. I'm not looking at you because
that makes sense to you.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
You look at me, let me see if you can't play,
then there would be nobody asking you what I'm wondering.
When you're gonna make a decision, you would just be like,
there's no decision to be made. Where do you think
and here, let's just flip it here, Okay, where do
you think he's gonna wind up? Honestly, I know you
said he's.

Speaker 7 (40:01):
Your retire that's well no, I said that was the
fourth option, Like that's a legitimate to me, he doesn't
have to play like that was my point was, if
somebody wants him, I totally get that.

Speaker 4 (40:10):
Hey, if you're wanted, why stop.

Speaker 7 (40:12):
My point was, you don't have to keep playing Like dude,
you had an amazing career, first ballot Hall of Famer,
one of the best we've ever seen.

Speaker 4 (40:19):
You don't have to keep going through This was my point.
But that's assume he does play.

Speaker 5 (40:24):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (40:24):
I think at this point it almost has to be
the Steelers because the.

Speaker 7 (40:28):
Giants can say, hey, we made a pitch, we tried,
but there aren't really great expectations for us anyway. Plus
we might get a Shador Sanders, or you know, we
trade up, maybe we trade up in New York. I'm
just you're saying they wanted Aaron Rodgers. I don't think
I don't want They don't want that, but they added pressure.

Speaker 6 (40:47):
Rob.

Speaker 7 (40:48):
I'd rather say, man, look, I'm telling you got some coming.
We got neighbors, we got Chador Sanders, we're building, We're coming.

Speaker 4 (40:55):
See CEC looked we on our way.

Speaker 7 (40:57):
I'd rather not Daron Rodgers, who wants to be the
savior and you gotta win two and fifteen.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
And they're gonna say, okay, well that's good. But if
we won those last two games of the season, I'm
just sold. Hope we bo we won the last two
games of fan we on our way. I come in
with Aaron Rodgers and we go, you know, seven and ten. No,
but you got your door to be there as well.
And if they do have to make that steal, have

(41:22):
him and then and then that's your selling point, is
the franchise didn't fall off the cliff, right, and then
you're like, oh my god, we gotta get rid of
these guys better. Terrible year the year before then they
bring in airon. No, they bring in your door, Sanders.
They don't know what they're doing, whatever it was or
exactly you know what I mean, Like that's the but

(41:43):
that anger.

Speaker 7 (41:44):
So that's why I go back to the Steelers, because
the Steelers have put all their eggs into Aaron Rodgers basket.
And people have talked about the bro mance Tomlin and
Aaron Rodgers having about each other. They sing each other's
praises and whatnot. So that almost has to happen because
from what we're understanding what we read the reports are
Russell Wilson offensive coordinator, don't have a great relationship. They've

(42:04):
already put it out there that hey, you can go
you know you are. They called it the distant plan
B with Russell Wilson. So to me it becomes what
do they do justin Fields is gone? Russell Wilson is
the distant plan being he might be feeling like I
don't want to be the you know, the seconds. They
almost have no choice but to make this happen any

(42:25):
way possible. So it almost feels like he has to
be a stealer because again the Giants can just fall
back on, hey, we're a draft should or we can
sell hope. The Vikings obviously have their guy in JJ McCarthy,
so they can say, hey know what, don't scrap it.

Speaker 4 (42:39):
Don't worrybody, We'll move on. We got our guy.

Speaker 5 (42:41):
Here we go.

Speaker 7 (42:42):
We're gonna you know, we got our new the new
JJ eras upon us, the Steelers, this this has to happen.
But one thing I will say, I'm not mad to
your point, you say Aaron Rodgers has a right hay
his free agency, he has the right ticket time, I
actually don't disagree, and that he's doing what he's allowed
to do. You do what you are allowed to do.
And if the Steelers and the Giants have put themselves

(43:04):
in this position, will they have to wait on his timing.
Then he they have to wait on his timing again.
They put themselves in this position where they you're all
we have. So if he needs to take his time,
he needs to take a darkness retreat, he wants to
wait it out, talk to his family whatever that's to
his right. And they're in this position where they're on
the Aaron Rodgers clock now, which is crazy to think
that this isn't thirty six year old him where Okay,

(43:26):
I'd be on that clock too. This is forty one
going to be forty two December year old him, and
they're on his timetable, which is kind of wild to
think that the Steelers to put themselves in this position.

Speaker 1 (43:36):
Well, I also think I think that the Vikings are
also another very viable reason. He's familiar with the NFC North,
the whole thing of going back there. Brett fav went
and played for the Vikings and they got to the
NFC Championship game, you know, at the end of his
career as well.

Speaker 4 (43:54):
I'm just saying there's a lot of you think that
matters to him.

Speaker 7 (43:55):
I mean, I'm really asking because he's aware Aaron like,
does he not want like I don't want to be
literally like they sat behind the guy played at the
same team. Then I go to the Jets like he did,
then I go to the Vikings. He's kind of an awareness.
I don't think the documentary has his own documentary.

Speaker 4 (44:10):
Get that and go.

Speaker 1 (44:11):
They were fourteen and three. They they run the ball
well and still real defense is good. Like they got
a lot of things, and and Kevin O'Connell has made
his name and turning these quarterbacks around, and so there's
a lot there to on the plate to say, hey,
did me give it one more shot with a good team,
and maybe I'll be able to they'll be able to

(44:33):
take care of me and and and make sure that
they protect me at the offensive line and all that,
and give it a shot. If Sam Donald could put
up thirty five touchdowns and four thousand yards behind that line,
maybe I could do the same thing.

Speaker 7 (44:47):
And then your point, that's it, Josh Dobbs, remember him,
he was coming. We had wasn't even thinking about him.
He came out the balloon, balled out for the Vikings
for most of that year that he was there as well.
So there is some truth to Kevin O'Connell. They get
the best out of you, But I just yeah, the Steelers,
I mean, so let's let me flip it it it
throw it at you, Mike Tomlin again. They let Justin
Fields go. You and I have talked about that for

(45:08):
a whole season. That's fine, that's their prerogative. Russell Wilson,
they kind of said, no, we're good, We're gonna move
on unless some a break in case of emergency, something happens.
You know, with Aaron Rodgers, that's Aaron Rodgers just goes
to the Viking, let's say, for whatever reasons he goes there.
He goes to the Giants because he's like, I don't
want to leave New York. I feel like I just home.
What do the Steelers do, Like, literally, what do they

(45:29):
do if Aaron rod Because because what if they don't
forget about the Browns, but because what if Russell Wilson,
who had the meeting with the Browns, goes there. Hey man,
Browns were eleven and five just two years ago. Uh,
they's got Miles Gary. Maybe they're not as bad as
Deshaun Watson isn't playing well.

Speaker 1 (45:46):
There's always a chance that they could decide to make
a trade with somebody, you know what I mean. Okay,
go ahead, her cousins, they'd have to make a call
and they get Kurt, you know, and make a trade
or something. So there is always was created back that
will be available. But I hear your point, all right,
eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. I know we
talked about it. He doesn't have to rush or whatever.

(46:06):
But if you have to pick a spot, we got
three spots. Where should Aaron Rodgers go? Is it to
follow the Brett Favre history legacy for Final Tour?

Speaker 5 (46:17):
Right? Is it?

Speaker 1 (46:18):
That? Is it going to the Giants to just hold
the spot until their quarterback that they draft is ready,
or is it you know, Pittsburgh and and you know,
trying to help Mike Tomlin finally win a playoff game
or whatever. Leave going on figure out he really needs
to playoff? All right now? All right, Mike eight seven

(46:39):
seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven nine nine
six sixty three sixty nine. It is the odd couple
on a trash talking Tuesday, Rob Parker kelvin Washington right
here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 6 (46:51):
Stick and stay so I can finally release photos of
Bigfoot in the US eventI oh yeah, I can't wait
