(02:10):
Sean King, the former NFL quarterback in Fox Sports Radio
NFL analysts.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
He'll join us as well. So we got all of
that and much more to do.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Uh, Kelvin, Yep, you're on this bandwagon here with the coach,
aren't you?
Speaker 3 (02:26):
With Daniel Yes?
Speaker 5 (02:27):
Yeah. I think I'm not saying their world beaters. I
think that they're sustainable far, especially with the running game
with Jonathan Taylor, and as long as Daniel Jones keeps
being productive and doesn't turn it over, I think they
got a shot. The defense has been solid as well.
So I think there's a bunch of teams in AFC
like Rob. I don't know what the Broncos are. I
don't know what the Chargers are.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
I don't tell you what if the Chiefs lose to
the Broncos this week, it's gonna be I'm gonna know
what the Chiefs ain't, Okay, cause shure, that'll be five
and five.
Speaker 5 (02:54):
That's THEEAH five and five is. You don't want to
that team obviously.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
I still remember there were fifteen to one last year
for there would be five and five.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
Yeah, and they'll still be the team they get to
the playoffs. I'm like, oh, shoot, if I'm an AFC team,
like a.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
No, But it's harder though you say that, But in
that division, you gotta remember there's two teams that are
ahead of them.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
This is a huge That's what I'm saying, huge game.
Speaker 5 (03:16):
It is specifically because it's in the division.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
They got too, right, they got two teams ahead of them.
Speaker 5 (03:21):
Yeah. Again, So but with that being said, I'm saying
that there's a bunch of teams in the ANC that
are like you do you one last night? The Patriots,
Like I think they're good, but part of us is
like really already that good. So the Coats gotta fit
that mold right around the Patriots of like, they're playing
some really good football aside from really bad game from
Daniel Jones a couple of games ago.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
But go ahead, I'm sorry, yeah, I just so you know,
they's all talk about they're all in. You know, they
obviously made a trade with the Jets. Let's Sauce Gardener
right said something they gave up first round picks, all
that they feel there's an opening, a window or whatever.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
I just can't. I'm just gonna be honest, No, Daniel Jones,
I can't do it.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
I expect no way, no how. I expect him to
turn into a pumpkin at some point. I really do
the same way. And I'm consistent because you know I
am that brand. Muffin works for me. What did I
tell you about Sam Donald?
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Like, I was like, I.
Speaker 5 (04:20):
Don't want to give you that one, Rodne, but I say,
but not the like the last two years he's been great,
No for those two games.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
But my point was at some point that's what happens.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
And then Minnesota of course moved off of him if
he was a world beater, and they would be like
JJ McCarthy, I don't care if we drive.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
We trade him. You would do something if you really
had your guy.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
And they didn't believe in Sam Donald enough because the
two worst games came into two biggest spots. So you
can do you know what I mean, and you you
know this. Had they beat the Lions the last game
of the game of the last game of the season
and won a division. Sam Donald was will be the quarterback.
I'm telling you, I don't have any doubt about that.
(05:04):
But that didn't happen. And then when he got in
the playoffs with another chance, he went the better that game,
so so there was that. Anyway, I just this too
much bad stuff, uh video and stuff of Daniel Jones
that I can't get unseen, Like I just I can't
unsee it.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
Is it like what's the movie with was it? Willard
with the Rats?
Speaker 3 (05:27):
With the Rats? I just can't use it. I can't
unsee it.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
And he's gotta be he is on my I'll believe
it when I see it. When he's holding the Lombardi Trophy,
I'll be like, I'm wrong, I was wrong. That's that's
that's That's the only thing that would change my mind
about Daniel Jones is that he'd actually have to hold
the Lombardi Trophy.
Speaker 5 (05:51):
This is one of those times you sometimes our phil
philosophies and our theology. It is kind of change a
little bit. You and I like, like you, I'm more
of a let me find my guy till I got it,
do him. I got my guy, even if I have
to kind of go through a guy or two to
get there. You're more of, Hey, we're just trying to win.
So even if I gotta throw you know, Aaron Rodgers
is one of the examples we use. I gotta put
Russell Wilson in there. I'm more of a put Jackson
(06:13):
Darty and let me see if that's my guy. This
one is another one where we're different. You are going
to the end result so much super Bowl or bus
where Yeah that sounds great, but thirty one other teams
ain't winning the Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
No, no, no, And I get that.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
I'm just talking about when you start giving up first
round picks on a golly, That's what I'm talking about,
because they're r in. They pushed that Jimpson. I mean, that's
different from all right, Hey, let's ride with them. Let's
see what happens this year. Whatever you can give it
up first round picks. Everybody in the NFL, talk to
any of the general managers. They can't believe what the
(06:49):
Jets got. They can't believe it.
Speaker 5 (06:52):
Well, listen, he has warranted it. And I'm talking about,
of course, Daniel Jones. This year. The team is obviously
eight and two, and when you look at what he's
been able to do is this year, it's amazing. Right now,
it's like night and day from what he was with
the Giants. Seventy percent passing almost twenty seven hundred yards,
(07:15):
he's got fifteen touchdowns, he got seven interception in half
of it, whether four of them came in that one game.
But he's rushing the ball as well. Obviously they got
a really great running game with Jonathan Taylor's full but
he does add that element still and when they're talking
about giving him a Baker, like when you re further
into this Jeremy Foller's story, they're talking about Baker Mayfield
(07:35):
Sam Donald type of deal where they got those three
year deals worked around one hundred so that puts you
in around thirty three million a.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
Year, that actually is a steal.
Speaker 5 (07:44):
If you believe you got your guy in current day
NFL rop you start to look at some of this
list of guys. I mean, I'm gonna readoff guys. Jordan Love,
is that because you already know Dak's number one sixty.
But then it goes Joe Burrow fifty five, Josh Jordan Love,
Trevor Lawrence, they're all making fifty five, two of us
(08:04):
making fifty three. Brouck Purdy just got his deal for
fifty three, Jared Goff fifty three, fifty two and a half,
Justin Herbert Lamar fifty two. So my point is, if
I can get Sam Donald Baker Mayfield, and I can
get Daniel Jones at thirty three million, starter can win me.
Let's say ultimately they end up winning eleven twelve the games,
(08:26):
maybe thirteen, and I can get some similars of that
for a handful of years. That's a great deal and
some stability to your organization, having a great running game,
having some nice weapons on the outside, and having a
guy as long as he done turn the ball over
again like with the Seahawks now having Sam Donald with
the Bucks Love in Baker Mayfield for that money. That's
(08:47):
a robbery almost you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Here in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
But here's where your kick is wide right, is that
this isn't just a bottom now playing buffalo about the
money that you're getting a quarterback for, because once you
start trading first round draft picks, it's at a higher level.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
Would you agree with that.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
I'll give you okay, once you start it ain't like,
oh we got lucky, you got a quarterback whatever. Now
we're giving up picks because we don't expect this guy
just to win ten or eleven games and get to
the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
You think you got a shot. That's the only way
you give up picks during the season. You believe you
got a shot to win.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
I don't believe and Daniel Jones enough to be able
to do that.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
I don't care what price. That's what I'm talking about.
Speaker 5 (09:40):
So here's the thing, and this is where you can
look at a Mike McCarthy for an example. On one,
you could say, Mike McCarthy with the Cowboys when everyone's
there and healthy, do was twelve and five right and
not won a Super Bowl, didn't go to NFC ship.
But you're giving yourself a chance other people say, I'll
give you enough chances, so you gotta go. That's what
you Arry Jones chose to do. We're going with this,
(10:02):
says the Coats. They can say, you just mentioned, well,
it ain't about what eleven games. The only way I
can win the Super Bowl is by I got to
get in the post's right, I got to be there
multiple times, get some cracks at it. And that's where again,
like the forty nine ers, give brought part of that
money because they're saying we missed, we fell short. We
got to a super Bowl with them. But when he's
healthy and right, he plays well, we give it. We're
(10:23):
giving ourselves chances with the guy who's good, really good
in quality. That's what the Coats believe they have. Daniel Jones. Now,
I'm agreeing with you that it's early in the sense
of this is year one and it's you know here
we are eight nine weeks in, ten weeks in, So
do you franchise them? Is an interesting point. A lot
of people say that's what the Viking should have did
(10:44):
with Sam Darnold. Franchise them.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
No shoot out there he'll make more than thirty three.
Speaker 5 (10:49):
Yeah, but it's only one year right, So I don't
know what the number would have been.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
Let's say, let me hit my last pushback for you
an eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. If you
want to try to get into this conversation. Here's the
other one. They've won eight games. Only two of the
teams they've beaten are over five hundred.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
That's what scares me. That's what scares me.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
A fair point, all right, they beat the Broncos, and
they beat the Chargers, but but they charge us. They
got six wins against bad teams, and and and I'm
afraid do you know what I mean? Like that's not enough?
And and and that's the part where if you're if
you're the Colt, you gotta be like, DUDEO we going
to Are we making too big of this? Is this
(11:35):
a schedule that has made Daniel Jones have a rebirth?
Speaker 3 (11:40):
Or is it really him? I think it's a schedule
so far I do.
Speaker 5 (11:46):
I actually will concede you that point that I do
think that it's help we're I'll also offer where I
think that they feel have a level of comfortability is
they have arguably the best running attack right now in
the NFL. And so I think they're saying if we
were singularly solely depending on you know, if this were
you know, I don't want to say Patrick Mahomes like
(12:08):
he hadn't had weapons, but you get what I'm saying,
there's Dad Marino or something this so other where it's
just him. It's Lamar Jackson at times like remember Lamar
two years ago, pre Dereck Henry with all his running
backs round and got.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
To and he still was putting that note out of here.
He had nobody.
Speaker 5 (12:20):
He was like Rob Parker getting there running back Kelvin
go be a split out at the receiver and still's
getting an MVP.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
If it were that where they're like, that's all we have,
I would give you that.
Speaker 5 (12:30):
They're like, I'm a little skeptical. It's that I think
they know they have weapons on the outside, and they
have Jonathan Taylor, who's absolutely a contender for MVP balling
out of control, and I think they can say for
a handful of years, we got this. As long as
he's again playing at this level. We know he's gonna
have a bad game here there, that's what quarterbacks do.
But as long as he's playing at this level with
(12:50):
this running game, defenses middle of the pack right now,
middle of the road. But and those weapons. I think
that's also why they can lean on. It's not just like, oh,
he's our everything. Pat Holmes at times, Lamar at times,
Josh Allen for sure at times. I don't think they.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
View it like that, all right.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine six.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
Sixty three sixty nine. Where are you? Are you buying
Daniel Jones?
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Are you like the Vikings, You're all in trading draft picks?
Speaker 3 (13:20):
Or is this the real deal?
Speaker 1 (13:22):
Has he transferred as a transformation into a really good quarterback?
Or is this just because of the schedule? Are you
confident in Daniel Jones? I'm not Kelvin is I'm not
wear you? Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. It
is the Odd Couple, Rob Parker, Kelvin Washington right here

Speaker 3 (15:14):
All right, let me clarify I ain't a big time believer.
Speaker 5 (15:18):
In Danny Dimes as much as stiking their coach, their
offensive mama believe also, Daniel Jones has been playing well,
and Jonathan Taylor. I'm in on there with they're cooking
up offensively. I don't want to act like I'm a
Danny Dimes believe. I pray at the after of Danny Dimes.
Don't let me not say that. But I like what
they're cooking up, and it makes sense to get them
(15:38):
for you know, one hundred million for a few years.
That's chief for a quarterback. Rob said, no way to know?
How what say you? Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox?
Who we got.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Andrew in Chicago? You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Andrew?
Speaker 5 (15:52):
What's up?
Speaker 6 (15:52):
Robin? Robin?
Speaker 7 (15:54):
Andrew from the White Sox game.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
I know, I know, I knew that was you, Andrew
from Chicago.
Speaker 3 (15:59):
I was you that without even knowing I knew it.
What's up? My man?
Speaker 5 (16:05):
Bible beer?
Speaker 1 (16:06):
No, no, no, he came to the game. We met there.
We had a bunch of people and we took in
a White Sox game.
Speaker 7 (16:13):
Nice, real, real quick, and I couldn't believe the kelvin
of how strict Rob was with his diet. I got
him a pizza, and I kid you not, he takes
the cheese and he's just eating.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
The cheese from the top, just protein, you know that cheese. Yeah, listen,
I'll give him credit, Rob. Listen. Rob is a lot
of things, but one thing he is is a oat
brahd muffin. He is consistent when he locks in. I'll
give him that. I was impressed. I sat next to him. Now.
Granted I have to smell and see everything he eats
(16:45):
every day all day, but uh, I was impressed, Rob.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
I give that all right, all right, appreciate.
Speaker 7 (16:52):
Real quick, Rob, when you're right, I got to give
you your props. Sean and I we both thought Big
Dumper was going to get that m VP. I still
think he deserve it, but looks like we were both wrong.
Speaker 5 (17:03):
But I got your problem too.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
Yeah, yeah, I'll take that one, no doubt about it.
I'll take that one. B we up, Baby, where are
you on? Daniel Jones, you win or out.
Speaker 7 (17:18):
To be honest, I'm out. But I understand why they're
doing it, and at that price, because the Colts come on,
they're trying to get that QB. First they had their
goal that ended up retiring early, and then you go
after Philip Rivers. So I feel like they're just trying
to find something. So they're like, hey, we have nothing
else to lose in for that price, but to fill
(17:39):
the pieces. What's the worst thing that can happen.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
That's right, No, I get it, but I just when
you start giving up draft picks Andrew, that's when I'm out.
Speaker 5 (17:48):
I heard it.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
I appreciate you, Thank.
Speaker 7 (17:50):
You, take care of guys.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
How about Don Don in the UK? Don is calling
from the UK.
Speaker 7 (17:58):
Now it's up, Okay.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
I was gonna say, wow, do you pee? We know
you done? International rop that's right, what's up? How are you?
Speaker 6 (18:10):
Hey?
Speaker 8 (18:10):
I'm doing good.
Speaker 9 (18:10):
How you guys doing tonight?
Speaker 5 (18:12):
Doing well?
Speaker 1 (18:12):
Brother?
Speaker 5 (18:13):
Thank you?
Speaker 9 (18:14):
Good good?
Speaker 10 (18:14):
And so listen.
Speaker 11 (18:16):
Daniel Jones, nice guy, great kisser.
Speaker 7 (18:19):
He's a terrible quarterback.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
And I'm glad Psyche.
Speaker 7 (18:22):
Can see something.
Speaker 6 (18:23):
And but come on, Kevin O'Connell had no use for
this guy.
Speaker 10 (18:25):
You really think if he was worth anything right, wouldn't
have been the backup this year.
Speaker 8 (18:29):
And then I don't know.
Speaker 7 (18:30):
I don't have the data in front.
Speaker 11 (18:31):
Of me, but like I think they played probably the
top ten easiest schedules so far this year.
Speaker 5 (18:36):
Yeah, Rob, we got somewhere in the appreciate it to
go here.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
No, no doubt, don you'll just spot on with the
schedule and uh and with the mic.
Speaker 5 (18:45):
The schedule thing Rod draws me crazy, though, is because
and we all do it like I do it, you
do it, We all do it. It all depends on
what you like. Man, if you're a pro a team,
because they will say, well, you can only beat who's
in front of you. I mean, what can I do?
I can only be If you don't like a team
will say, man, look at they only beat such and
such like.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
No, I get it.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
But when you're trying to convince me of somebody who
has been bad for a long time and now he's.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
Good, I'm gonna expect this pro I'm gonna look at
the schedule. I'm gonna look at the schedule.
Speaker 5 (19:15):
Don't disrespect Daniel Jones pro bro here what about Dion
fifteen touchdowns and got a probo ye had thirteen?
Speaker 3 (19:22):
Was it fifteen touchdown games?
Speaker 5 (19:25):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (19:25):
Dion in Texas? You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Dion?
Speaker 5 (19:29):
Hey?
Speaker 6 (19:30):
What's up?
Speaker 8 (19:30):
Ron?
Speaker 5 (19:31):
You broh?
Speaker 11 (19:32):
Hey?
Speaker 8 (19:32):
I'm doing well. I hope you're doing well, and I
hope you guys have a good weekend. I want to
just weigh in. I don't like the way Daniel Jones
played these last two games. He's reminded me of the
bad New York Giants. Daniel Jones. He's tucked the ball
over quite a lot. And then on the other hand,
guys played some bad teams. Guess what, he's beating him.
That's what any quarterback is supposed to do.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
That's what you want to I agree, and I'm not
in Dion's spot, that's true. My issue is when you're putting,
when the coach go all in, and when I say
go all in, when you start giving up first round
draft picks. You believe Daniel Jones isn't just gonna win
eleven games.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
You think he's gonna take you somewhere. Do you do
you agree with that? Right?
Speaker 8 (20:15):
I do agree, and rob my last point, I was
gonna say, as long as they don't give up any
more first round draft picks. They got a pretty complete team,
so they can get some good second, third, and fourth rounders,
maybe make a trade here and there. I think they
will be okay with just giving him just a little
bit of money, because we know thirty million dollars is
not a lot for a starting quarterback. Along the bitch
(20:36):
ain't drafted guy and have to pay him nothing. So
I think they'll be okay.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
One last thing, one last thing, Dan, real quick? Yeah,
are they going to the AFC Championship Game?
Speaker 3 (20:46):
Yes? Or no? That's all I want to hear from.
Yes or no?
Speaker 8 (20:49):
I don't know who. Kansas City?
Speaker 3 (20:50):
No, no, no there wait, listen to you, Kansas City all
he sounded like me, Rob I got.
Speaker 8 (20:59):
I'm gonna break this new was real quick. In the
f C West, all three teams out there will finish
eleven and six, not that you know, the records don't count,
but the FC West, all those things finish eleven and six,
and Daniel Jones they might No, No, I'm gonna say no,
it's gonna be probably New England or somebody.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
Okay, all right in New England, I don't think so.
All right, appreciate that gangs. One last, who's this bopper
in Massachusetts? The Bopper? You're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio. What's up? Bopper?
Speaker 11 (21:30):
Good, good evening, gentlemen. Always appreciate the band, Sir, I
always appreciate the band. I hope you guys are well.
Speaker 3 (21:36):
We're doing great, no doubt.
Speaker 11 (21:37):
Yes, Okay, old timer, A sifty five year fan of
the Baltimore Flash Indianapolis coach. I get what you're saying.
The coach do have the greatest differential, you know, points
scored to points. Giving up in the NFL just f
fact is a fact. They have beaten who they're supposed
(21:59):
to be. They not give up two one draft picks
for Daniel Jones. They gave it up for Sauce, right right, right, No, no, no,
That's what I'm mean. Police a defensive rookie year, and
that was that.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
Was years ago. He ain't that same player. I hate
to break it to him.
Speaker 9 (22:16):
That's two years.
Speaker 3 (22:17):
He's not the same player. He's not the same player.
Speaker 5 (22:21):
Just needed a couple of years. That's all.
Speaker 11 (22:23):
Okay, Okay, one more thing, if you will, you talk
about giving up number one first round draft picks.
Speaker 9 (22:31):
Justin Steels was a first round draft pick. Who who's
guarantine that the number one you're drafted. You're giving away
potential for what you see is long term a steady
defensive backfield that will get you something, a good linebacking corps.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
Okay, Taylor Bopper, I want you to call back when
they're not in the AFC Championship game.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
You better call back. You better call back.
Speaker 11 (23:00):
Oh, they'll be there, all right?
Speaker 3 (23:02):
Where are you and you're in Massachusetts. We're gonna bet something.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
You better call back when they When Daniel Jones loses
in the first round, the.
Speaker 11 (23:10):
First the first round of the playoffs, I'll give you.
I'll give you a ring.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
Okay, sounds good. Thank you appreciate it.
Speaker 11 (23:15):
You know I love you guys.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
Okay, yes, I appreciate it. Thank you appreciate It's good.
We could have a back and forth. I'm he's supposed
to feel that way. That's his Team's his team. I
can't teams playing.
Speaker 5 (23:25):
It's not like you said and everononing here at three
and six, they're feeling good.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
I've said it a million times. I don't root for teams.
I root for my predictions to be right. That's all
so when you hear me with passion about stuff. It's
not because I hate Daniel Jones or I hate the
cold or you know what I mean, Like like I
know Rob, we know you only you know you just
hate Lebron and the Lakers and.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
The Dodgers and Aaron Judge. Right, No, you love it.
Speaker 5 (23:56):
Oh God, you get all your panties in a bunch
when somebody say him.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Did you not act? Hey?
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Hey?
Speaker 5 (24:03):
Did you see boy? Let me tell you something. You
better not ever tell me you sore from all that
moving the other day, the way you jumped out your
seat when Aaron Jones was named IV pot What hi
sort we jumped out the seat all right? We got
Sean King on the other side with right now it
is Steve de Seger got just said.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
Hello, gentlemen.
Speaker 4 (24:23):

(25:29):
the Canucks lead at Carolina three to two in the

Speaker 3 (26:37):
Back to you, all right, Steve, appreciate you.
Speaker 5 (26:42):
It is the OKAPA Rob Parker kelvin Washington on a
fucky flashback Friday. And if it's a fucking flashback Friday,
well get you know, we get ready to talk to
our man, Sean King. Down with the King, former NFL quarterback,
Fox Sports radio analyst Real Sean King on X What up?
Speaker 8 (26:57):
Ruh?
Speaker 3 (26:58):
What up?
Speaker 8 (26:58):
Sean?
Speaker 6 (27:00):
What's going on?
Speaker 5 (27:01):
What's going on?
Speaker 6 (27:01):
I got to start the show off by saying, I
appreciate all your listeners to hit me help, thanking them
for giving out Penn State plus the points last week
in Pittsburgh plus the points list I thought about. Man,
let's start to settle with my favorite two plays. One college,
one NFL Take it to the bank. Double up your
net words follow Big King, Old Miss minus eleven and
(27:24):
a half. They're going to Woodshed, Florida down in Oxford.
That's my college player of the weekend. On the NFL side,
Kansas City is going to Denver and make a statement.
Chiefs minus three and a half, Old Miss minus eleven
and a half Take it to the bank, added the
Shekel City. I see you're doing better, Rob, I'm watching you.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
Hey.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
I've been winning lately, my man winning. No doubt that
I've been watching you, all right, Well, we appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (27:48):
I saw that Penn State won and I thought of
you too. The touchdown, how they mess around it one
that thing?
Speaker 1 (27:54):
Hey, well you know you know, all right, Brook, we
gotta go here real for the You know all the
talk about Justin Fields. I think you like Justin Fields. Correct,
stop me if I'm wrong. But where do you go
with him?
Speaker 2 (28:08):
Now?
Speaker 1 (28:08):
I mean it, last night most people are saying that
he shouldn't be a quarterback or he's not good enough
to be a quarterback in the NFL. You played the position,
You've watched this guy's been in the league for years now.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
I can't believe he has forty eight fumbles.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
In fifty nine and fifty three starts in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
What do you do, Sean, if you're.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
Aaron Glenn or any other coach going forward with Justin Fields.
Speaker 6 (28:33):
Well, I don't think Tyrod Taylor is fully healthy. So
I'm not sure that making a change gives you a
better chance to win in a given Sunday in twenty
twenty five. I'm a big fan of Justin Fields. The person.
I think Justin Fields the quarterback is broken.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
Yeah, something's not right.
Speaker 6 (28:50):
Yeah, the amount of criticism ridicule. I think the emotional
impact that Pittsburgh going to Russell Wilson last year when
he was starting, while Russell was hurt and the Steelers
were winning, I don't think that gets talked about enough.
I think that really stole his confidence and he's never
regained it. So I mean, if I'm the Jets, I'm
(29:12):
going to hope and prayed that light goes on the
rest of the year. But I'm more than likely in
the market come draft time or either this offseason at
freigency for a quarterback.
Speaker 1 (29:22):
Let me ask you what the fumbles? Because I can't
Is his hands too small? Why can't he hold onto
the ball?
Speaker 3 (29:28):
Forty forty eight.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
No, I'm not gotta be Kawhi leonardhead Sean forty eight
fumbles and fifty three starts.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
I never heard of a number like that.
Speaker 6 (29:40):
So a couple of them last night I think were
low snaps.
Speaker 3 (29:43):
Right, there was a low snap, Oh my god.
Speaker 6 (29:46):
But I think a lot of it comes from he's
not seeing the field clearly, so he holds onto the
football for extended periods of time. That's why it always
seems like they're only good players that when he scrambles
like he's not confident, he's not seeing it clearly, and
his fundamentals are rolling. His footwork is bad. He doesn't
throw the ball with confidence, he doesn't throw it with
(30:07):
with like a commitment to this is the right throw,
the right velocity, the right art, the right decision like.
It's just a lot of things I can tell upstairs
as it pertains the football that aren't in the right place,
and turnovers happen when you're focused. Mistakes happen.
Speaker 5 (30:24):
Hey, sean man, we got some really really good games
coming up this week. As a handful of good ones,
I want to start with this one right here. This
one could potentially be to say the statement of who's
the best in the NFC. You got set Rams gonna
be hosting the Seahawks, right there. Two teams that look good,
two teams that look very complete as well. Who do
you like in this one?
Speaker 3 (30:45):
And why?
Speaker 5 (30:47):
What do you think is gonna be the reason why
they win?
Speaker 6 (30:50):
I'm still not a full believer in the Seahawks, so
I'm going with the Rams at home in this game.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
And listen, why do you say that is it?
Speaker 6 (31:01):
I don't know, I know anybody can lose to anybody
in the NFL. But I still don't know what quality
opponent Seattle's beating. Washington's a dead dogs. They beat them
without James Daniels will start to finish. If you watch
the Arizona game, I mean it was twenty one to
zero and the defensive scored twice. So they just they
boat roast errors, they boat raced errors. I want to see.
(31:23):
I'm very skeptical of Sam Donald and Daniel Jones, no
matter what they do in the regular season, until I
see one of them in the playoffs play at that level.
So I trust Matthew Stafford more. I like what Seattle's doing,
but I don't fully believe in it. I'm going Rams.
I think they're a more sound investment of the two teams.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
And you mentioned Daniel Jones obviously the coat, you know,
trading first round picks for Sauce Gardner. They're all in
on Daniel Jones. I'm not in there. I can't do it.
They're eight and two or whatever. I think they're eight
and two, but the six wins against teams under five hundred,
(32:02):
they've had a really easy schedule. I'm just not I
can't believe. I can't unsee all the bad Daniel Jones.
Where are you on Daniel Jones and the Coles?
Speaker 6 (32:11):
I agree with you one hundred I'm not a believer
in the last not this week because Taylor went for
three touchdown but the two games part of that, when
he struggled, you know, in the running game wasn't as
dominant as it has been and Daniel had to throw
the ball for him to win. Some of the old
Daniel Jones started to pop up and show itself again.
(32:32):
But let me say this about the Coats in general
and the National Football League. If Jonathan Taylor is not
NFL MVP, he's not goodeans to play at the level.
The NFL really needs to just publicly say a non
quarterback can't win NFL MVP because what Jonath Famer is
doing next year is unbelievable.
Speaker 5 (32:52):
Yeah, we hear you. We talked about it. But jo
is about to be Matthew Stafford or Drake May. They're
gonna give it to a quarterback. That's just what's what
they do.
Speaker 3 (33:01):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (33:01):
Let me ask you this with Sean King our guests,
of course, on the I Cup of Robin Kelvin on
a worship worship free fucking freestyle Friday real quick. I'm
looking at this one for me. I'm biased enough, of course,
I'm a Lions fan, but I feel like they've been
playing better football than the Eagles, even though the Eagles
have the better record. Where are you the Lions? Homer
go ahead, No, I said, I lad with that. Eagles Lions.
(33:24):
The Lions are obviously playing better, but the Eagles are
the better record, the ragning champs, so you want to
put some respect on their name.
Speaker 6 (33:30):
I believe in the Detroit Lions offense. I'm about twenty
percent of believer on the defensive side of the ball.
When they've gone up against a quality quarterback and quality
passing game, they've gotten bitch Krieg on the back end.
So I just I'm nervous about them when they get
in the playoffs and they've got to go up against
Stafford or Baker Mayfield or this week they played which
(33:52):
Jalen hurts will we get. I'm assuming they're gonna target
AJ Brown after his comments where he finally admitted what
I've been saying. Remember I came on here the last
year and a half and said AJ Brown is close
to exploding. So maybe they decided to target the best
wide receiver this week, and Jayalen Hurts look confident throwing
the ball. But I'm not a full believer on the
(34:13):
back end of that Detroit defense quite yet.
Speaker 5 (34:16):
All right, no doubt, I go the same thing. That's
the end of the team that worries me and anybody
who watches him. Sean, thank you man, Sean.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
I got them making the playoffs, so we'll see.
Speaker 6 (34:26):
Yeah. Hey, one thing we did find out about your
Lions though, Dan Campbell actually an exces and those guy
to that point, we just thought he was a.
Speaker 5 (34:34):
Yeah, I saw that boy out there. It wasn't a
menu rob. He was calling plays.
Speaker 3 (34:38):
It wasn't a menu.
Speaker 1 (34:39):
Well, let's just see when it's Let's see when it's
a different competition though.
Speaker 3 (34:42):
We'll see, all right, I just believe it.
Speaker 5 (34:44):
Make it post it this time.
Speaker 6 (34:46):
By the way, Ole miss and Kansas City the plays
the weekend. But Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas, Georgia, get your popcorn.
We got some big time colors.
Speaker 3 (34:56):
I think there's a chance that Kansas City gets shut out.
I'm just saying you mean to shut out.
Speaker 6 (35:01):
As leaning like in the fourth quarter after thirty five
to three.
Speaker 3 (35:04):
No, I shut out you're not good Denvers defenses man.
Speaker 6 (35:08):
Patrick, Noatrick Patrick certain he's out this week.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
Yeah, but their defense has been unbelievable. All right, we
gotta go.
Speaker 5 (35:13):
Thank you, Appreciate you fine man, appreciate it. All right.
We talk about it, the Steelers and the Ravens in
their division. Right now. To somebody who's practicing, who might
be trying to come back and say the day, we'll
tell you who it is. Next to the couple Fox
Sports Radio, you're gonna be sor tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
Oh, I already feel it.
Speaker 5 (35:28):
Wow, Yeah, tomorrow's gonna be a rough day.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot Com and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to
listen live.
Speaker 5 (35:46):
Fox Sports Radio is the couple Rod Parker KELFN Washington
on a funky flashback Friday. Thank you, Shot King, Yeah
you did do it, shot Chet Mexicano. You can see
it there. For over forty years, this Right Tire Rack
has been helping customers find the right tires for how,
what and where they drive. Ship Fast and Free back
(36:07):
by Free Road has a protection with convenient installation options
like mobile tire installation. That's right to come to you
wherever you are, tire rack dot com. It is the
way tire buying should be. We talk about this rob
big matchup. You got Steelers hosting the Bengals obviously in
that division there AFC North teams are still competing, Ravens
(36:28):
still trying to make a push for this, and the
Bengals are like teetering, little little life left and they
might be getting somebody back sooner than later.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
Right, Ian, That is correct.
Speaker 10 (36:38):
So Joe Burrow has returned to practice earlier this week,
and reporters asked him when his targeted return would be,
and he said it would be very meaningful if he
could return by Thanksgiving. Now that's far from guaranteed as
to whether he'll be able to or not, but that
is at least his goal.
Speaker 3 (36:53):
And I don't even know how.
Speaker 10 (36:55):
Much you can trust injury reports these days, because it
was originally supposed to be that he was gonna be
back by like mid December at the earliest.
Speaker 3 (37:00):
So this is absolutely insane. Yeah, it's insane.
Speaker 1 (37:03):
It's just poppycock and talk or whatever and acting like
something's gonna happen to me. I'm always gonna be consistent.
If somebody's healthy and they can play, they should play.
If they're not healthy or they're fifty percent or six, No,
you can't put in a guy of that ilk who's
been hurt already a lot in his career.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
Do you want to lose him? You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (37:26):
And what are you coming back to if you're not
healthy again, if you're not healthy. If you're healthy and
you can play, and you can play as soon as
you're healthy, you should play well.
Speaker 5 (37:38):
We talked about this with jayd and Daniels I think
that's who it was. We were talking about it.
Speaker 6 (37:42):
Huh.
Speaker 5 (37:43):
Yeah. So this is interesting because that timeline they had
him around sometime in December was kind of when they
were thinking he would be coming back. Now you're hearing
against Baltimore Ravens around Thanksgiving and.
Speaker 3 (37:55):
Joe Flacco has played very well.
Speaker 5 (37:57):
For them, very very well actually, And to me, I
want to just go ahead and ride this thing out
with him in the sense that you are gonna need
Joe Burrow, that's your guy. He's already been banged up
the last few years some and so I agree if
he were all of a sudden like just miraculously healthy
in the next two weeks.
Speaker 3 (38:16):
Sure, fight it out.
Speaker 5 (38:17):
See if you can make a push. And more than anything,
just get some stability to this team, like get something
going like, yo, this is who we are. But if
he to your point, if he's trying to rush it,
just to rush it, you know, just to no, no, no,
I'm okay, I'm okay, to get back out there. To me,
it's just not worth it for what he means to
that organization. Right, you got to a super Bowl early
with this guy, You're gonna be.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
Competing the second year.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
Remember he's heard his first year and only played half
a year, comes back, takes.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
A team to the super Bowl.
Speaker 5 (38:44):
Right, and that's the guy. And again you're in a
division where you compete against the Lamar Jackson. Right, you
compete I mean Aaron Rodgers novel, who knows, maybe Aaron
Rodgers again next year. But you're at a conference where
you've got now Drake Mays here, it's next bow Knicks
reel or not justin Herbert you know Lamar Jackson's as
I mentioned Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Like, you got a
lot going on in that division, I mean a conference.
(39:06):
So you want to make sure your guy is ready
to roll next year. So I wouldn't put him out
there any sooner than he is one hundred healthy and
we still have some simbilance of a shot of winning
the division. If that's gone and he's you know, eighty
seventy five percent health, I'm good. Haven't seen Joe. We'll
high at you in off training, off season training. We'll
(39:31):
do that.
Speaker 10 (39:31):
Then, you guys, remember, quarterback hasn't even really been the
issue for Cincinnati since they traded for Joe Fla.
Speaker 3 (39:38):
It's not.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
It's the defense. They can't stop any boy exactly. So
it's not like, oh my god, if we get Joe Burrow,
we'll get back to scoring thirty points again. No, they're
already scoring thirty points a game. So it's more about
and I'm not saying you don't want him back as
soon as he's ready to play.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
It's his team.
Speaker 1 (39:56):
So I get that Joe Flatt goes the stop gap,
but I'm not rushing that guy.
Speaker 5 (40:03):
No, no, no, no, that's you can't. You can't do that.
I mean, too much rides on him for the next
you know, half a decade at least, maybe maybe more
than that decade, so he means too much. But again, also,
you got you just mentioned it. Man, Joe Flacco's played
well and that defense is the issue right that. And remember, hey,
you got the running back Chase Brown all mad because
the defense couldn't get a stop when the offense came
(40:24):
back against the Bears and they made a game of it.
So that's their issue. At some point in the offseason,
they got to write that ship. Otherwise, even if it's
Joe Burrow, it's gonna be pointless putting up pointless stats.
