Speaker 1 (03:30):
Look at Alex patting his head like he got braids,
you know, when your hair itches.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
I'm actually down to try something. I told Mary, she
should break them. Yeah, let's do that.

Speaker 5 (03:43):
Yeah, you know that's a good point, Miss Mary. Mack
would take care of you.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Let's do it.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
You and Iowa saying we need breaks. Iowa was saying
he wouldn't be able to go back to Iowa, and
it'd be like.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
Hey, he better not do it.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
Driving that's right.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
He messed around and pulled.

Speaker 7 (05:06):

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Oh God is right? Oh God? Can I say this
real quick?

Speaker 5 (05:10):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (05:11):
No, really, Ricky from our Image and Department. Yes, Ricky's
girlfriend made chocolate chip cookie.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Oh God, come on.

Speaker 5 (05:22):
Ricky was supposed to tell me.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
Oh God, oh God is right. I had to.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
I send him the picture of that old God t
shirt that Elijah Mado because they were so good. I
was like, I didn't even front. I was like, Ricky,
I need more. They were they were delicious. They were
really really good.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
So thank you.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Oh he's enjoying somebody else's girls cookies.

Speaker 1 (05:48):

(06:09):
so that always pops up to the top of the screen.
All right, kel, well, let's go there Thursday night football.
And you know, obviously people expected the Patriots to win
in Foxborough, right, having a great season and the Jets
are having a bad season and they dropped to two
and eight and they lose. But what comes out of
the store, out of the game was just the play

(06:33):
of Justin Fields. Me and you, we've gone back and forth.
You've even admitted now like that, like he just regrets
to the point where I don't even.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Know, Like what do you do?

Speaker 1 (06:42):
Like there's conversation now people are like he should never
play quarterback again in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
I mean, think about that.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
You're going from a first round pick to people saying
you shouldn't get another chance to be quarterback. But Willie Cologne, Alice,
do we have this the sound? Do we have the sound?

Speaker 4 (07:03):
Ian? We don't have it yet? Okay? Uh.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Willie Cologne is on the Jets pre and post game
show and he's a former Jet, And listen to this
sound from him, Calvin, and then we'll talk.

Speaker 10 (07:19):
It's tough man, because Aron is going to sit up
here and talk about how he needs to watch the tape.
You don't need to watch anything. Justin fields, not NFL
quarterback like, let's just let's just be honest and you
sit You can't sit here and tell your team and
before games and want them to rally and want them
to give you all they got when you're not giving
your team everything they need to be successful. I mean,
she shouldn't have played in the second half, right, especially
when you have a defense who is without Quintin Williams

(07:42):
Saltgardner and who.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
Played I mean all in off.

Speaker 10 (07:48):
This game.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
And this is a game where if you win this game.

Speaker 10 (07:50):
You're on a three game winn the streak, and you
really start to rally the truth because now they start
believing in each other instead of it they around them
and everything you're trying to sustain. You're saying, you know what,
we won one less, We beat the number one team
in the AFC in New England. This is billboard stuff, right,
But you didn't do it solely because what so this
is like from a ballplayer standpoint, if I'm sitting in
that locker room and he's talking to us and he's

(08:12):
talking about what we should I'm like, no, what should
you have done?

Speaker 2 (08:15):
Then?

Speaker 10 (08:15):
What I should have done?

Speaker 5 (08:16):
Because the tape don't lie.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
I mean those are strong words for local.

Speaker 5 (08:22):
Am I right?

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Yeah, I mean he's a former Jet but they do
pre impost on s n Y in New York.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
That's the equivalent to spectrums.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Uh yeah, you know what I mean that that channel
and to say he's not an NFL quarterback? Just your
reaction and also just what do you think should if
he doesn't play, what should he do?

Speaker 7 (08:46):
What?

Speaker 5 (08:46):
What?

Speaker 6 (08:47):
So he's gonna he's here, he's a football player, we
both agree with that, gonna play quarterback? Will he become
what he ever thought he would be? What he hoped,
you know when he was in Ohio State and gotta
you know, becoming a number one you know, a first
round draft pick and all that stuff.

Speaker 5 (09:02):
Will he be that?

Speaker 6 (09:03):
Probably not? But so I'm gonna start here. This is
what happens when you and I used to go back
and forth. Was when he was in Pittsburgh. He was
four and two, ten touchdowns, one interceptions and the read.
I want to make sure I clarify my point then,
and because it was it was, I still believe what
I was saying then. My whole point was to just
simply see what he was because it was working when
you versus you knew what Russell Wilson was, and I

(09:24):
got totally got your point. Look, Russell Wilson, especially at
that point, he hadn't regressed as much as he had
now a year later between that and the Giant. So like,
let's just see my whole thing was. I want to
see what Justin Fields is. We got ten touchdowns, one interception,
four and two. Like, all right, let's just kind of
see what that was. I wasn't proclaiming him to be
the greatest.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
It was. Let's just find this out.

Speaker 6 (09:44):
I think clearly you for him to make the business
decision and then go to the Jets, where even Aaron
Rodgers struggled, even though he put up some numbers. It's
a struggle there. You can name the quarterback that Jets
and you knew it. You said, Aaron, don't go to
the Jets.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
I said it.

Speaker 5 (09:58):
It's just yeah, exactly.

Speaker 6 (10:00):
So the Jets are not the place to kind of
say is this person good? Because Sam Donald, who now
was balling out of control team looks great. Super Bowl
contender ball a couple of seasons now two different teams,
has builded himself to a legitimately really good quarterback. Now
saying he's top two or three. But he's a legitimate,
really good quarterback. Was with the Jets and has happened
so much with the Jets. So justin fields, he went

(10:22):
backwards by leaving there in pittsburghe he had some stability
and going to the Jets, Aaron Rodgers left that instability
and went to the Steelers. You get what I'm saying,
But so go ahead the last point. I think he's so.
I think he's going to be a quarterback again. Because
we sat here and I pulled up the numbers. If
we looked at Sam Donald his first few three four

(10:42):
years in the league when he was a Jet, we
would have had Willie Coloone saying the same thing, because
he was four nine seventy six, two and ten, four
and seven and he had, you know, seventeen touchdown, fifteen interception,
nineteen touchdof thirteen interceptions nine eleven, nine thirteen. It was
going worse and worse and worse for him, and you
wouldn't have known he got there.

Speaker 5 (11:03):
And I'm not saying he's the arm talent of Sam
darn my.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
Point I was gonna say.

Speaker 6 (11:08):
I'm saying he's got to get out of there and
find out what he is. But you can call a
spade a spade. He looks bad. Their offense is bad.
He's not making great decisions, and he's not just putting
life into that team. More than anything. Rob right Jackson
dark when you watch him. It's not that he's putting
up crazy numbers. He's putting life into that team. And
Justin Field does not do.

Speaker 5 (11:27):
That at all.

Speaker 6 (11:28):
There's no life and Aaron Glynn, maybe coming down from
the ownership and general manager, is feeling forced to have
to kind of keep playing him because we'd.

Speaker 5 (11:35):
Have bought him.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
Maybe maybe they don't want the first round pick.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
Lying right there.

Speaker 6 (11:40):
This is they're on a trajectory, so so I think
he'll get, you know, an opportunity. Again, there's thirty two jobs,
we know that, and there's never thirty two starting quarterbacks.

Speaker 5 (11:47):
But it's a rap as far as him this year.
They need to move on.

Speaker 6 (11:50):
It's just not working. There's no juice, there's no life,
and he looks bad. There's no way, there's no way
around it. He just looks lifeless per se.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
Here's the number.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
The Jets are averaging a league low one hundred and
thirty nine point nine passing yards per game. That would
be the lowest in the NFL since the two thousand
and twenty two Bears. They had one hundred and thirty
point five yards. Guess who the common denominator is in

(12:18):
that jf justin field. I mean, so there's you see
what I'm saying this, And then here's the other stat
that when they flashed on the screen on Thursday Night football,
you just can't you can't look away and act like
it didn't happen.

Speaker 5 (12:36):
You ready, what's that?

Speaker 4 (12:39):
Forty eight?

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Ian is a Jets fan? Okay, I'll producer. Sorry, Ian
knows this. Forty eight fumbles since twenty twenty one, the
most in the NFL.

Speaker 5 (12:51):
Can you that is horrible?

Speaker 4 (12:53):
Wrap your head around that?

Speaker 5 (12:56):
Think about that's that's a terrible stat.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
Forty eight fum forty eight? How do you have four
as a quarterback?

Speaker 5 (13:04):
And did you see the fun we.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
Had last night?

Speaker 5 (13:07):
Yes? I did? And that was a backbreaker? Was Ian?
You know this as a fan?

Speaker 4 (13:14):
As a Jets fan?

Speaker 6 (13:16):
Let me ask you this as a fan. A weird
thing about it is when you watch them And this
is why I think Aaron Glenn has been able to
kind of keep with him his numbers aren't gonna wow
you the positive per se, but they're also wowing with
the negative. It'll be a buck sixty rush for sixty,
a touchdown didn't turn on, and you're like, I mean,
it wasn't bad. And I think that's why Aaron Glenn
has been able to justify over the last you know,

(13:36):
three four, four weeks or so.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
Would you say, I would definitely say that's the case.

Speaker 11 (13:40):
And but the thing is, though, Calvin, it's like all
those stats he'll he'll get like, you know, one hundred,
one hundred and fifteen passing yards in like the third
and fourth quarter, you know, so when it actually matters
and the game is actually still close for the Jets,
he throws like twenty five yards by halftime, right, And
we're so numb to that at this point, which is crazy.
That's not normal, Like that shouldn't be something that you

(14:01):
happens every week.

Speaker 4 (14:01):
And he's had and he's had like four games.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
He has had four games Kelvin of sixty yards or less.

Speaker 5 (14:09):
That's four games.

Speaker 11 (14:11):
And it feels like his superpower has always been running,
and even that he's doing it a lot less than
he ever has.

Speaker 6 (14:16):
So it's just that I think a say, Aaron Glenn said,
you know, we don't want to put him in harm's way,
and blah blah blah. Let me also say this, rob
that statue just said, those forty eight fumbles, that doesn't
bowl well for those who would then say, well, his
best asset as he's running alluted to is running because
I can't trust you to run because you know, fumble.

Speaker 5 (14:37):
So that that's.

Speaker 6 (14:38):
What makes that more damning, is that if your idea
was let's run them more, let's make him, you know,
just this absolute beast on a running game nothing you
can't stop it. Well, yeah, if you were prepared to
have fifteen sixteen eighteen fumbles a year.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
He seemed like a great guy. And this is not
about him personally. He's just about noo about him as
a as a quarterback. I just all right eight seven
seven ninety nine on far eight seven seven nine nine
six sixty three sixty nine. The question is what do
you do with justin fields if you were a GM
or a coach, would he ever be your quarterback again?

(15:12):
Should he be a running back? Should he be I
don't know what, like, what what do you do? I mean,
can he play quarterback in the NFL. I'm just not convinced.
I don't know how any coach, seriously Kelvin going forward,
could bring him to the team and say I'm putting
my eggs in this basket, Like that's the problem because

(15:35):
coming with all this baggage and whatnot, and if you
bring him along and it doesn't work out, it's gonna
be on you because he's now had enough exhibit A
that you can't say like, oh, I didn't know what
was going on. No, all, we got all the stats,
all the numbers, they're all out there. There's no way
eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven, seven

(15:57):

Speaker 7 (18:37):
It's great.

Speaker 12 (18:38):
I just want to say about the whole Justin Fields things.
I'm kind of surprised you guys didn't mentioned this one name,
because I think this would be good for him to
rebuild his confidence. Okay, maybe maybe.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
A new age, a.

Speaker 8 (18:51):
Taint some hill.

Speaker 12 (18:53):
I think you can sit in that role kind of
build his confidence back up a little bit. If a
coach could, you know, shit him into an offense like that.
That's what he was basically doing the second half in
Pittsburgh last year, was coming in.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
Here and there, a little plays here or there.

Speaker 12 (19:07):
So I think that'd be good form. Folk has that
visit form.

Speaker 5 (19:11):
Here's why. Here's why I didn't mention it.

Speaker 6 (19:12):
Why I don't agree with your I get your sentiment,
but I don't agree with it.

Speaker 5 (19:16):
I think the.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
Challenge is Thanks Josh.

Speaker 5 (19:19):
Justin Fields came in highly regarded.

Speaker 6 (19:21):
Justin Fields came in first round pick. His first round
pick was a baller at Ohio State. Like he was
that guy. And when you kind of come in it
can be gimmicky. You can find a road that's a
little bit different, right, Okay, when you are been a
starter now justin fields case for three different teams. Like,
that's harder then say go be that that that's there.
Now if you come in and we're trying to find

(19:42):
a place for you, finding where you fit, Okay, oh
here's a role, then I see that happening. It's hard
to go back, hard to go to that from being
a starter for multiple teams.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Well, it might be just to survive. I mean, if
he can't really find anybody who wants him to.

Speaker 5 (19:55):
Be the quarterfinal and preach, he gonna be a preacher.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
Yeah, I believe that, you know what. I no, no, no, I
agree with you. That's all he talks about. Tim in Atlanta.
You're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Chili? Tim?

Speaker 5 (20:08):
What up? How are you?

Speaker 8 (20:13):
I'm good man.

Speaker 5 (20:13):
You guys are doing doing well well, brother.

Speaker 8 (20:16):
Nothing wrong with being a preacher. But no, not at all.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
Lord.

Speaker 5 (20:21):
I'm just saying I really meant that though.

Speaker 4 (20:23):
I just don't want him to be my quarterback on Sundays.

Speaker 8 (20:27):
Let me let me lay this timeline, give me a check,
let me lay this timeline. So you take Sam Donald.
He went from the Jets. She played for the Panthers.
Then he went to what the Vikings and then yeah
Vakum and then Baker Mayfield, which left a bad organization.

(20:49):
Cleveland went to the Panthers and went to the Rams right,
and then went.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
Yeah, what Chili? For every guy?

Speaker 1 (20:57):
Okay, but for every guy you got that, we could
give you three or for all the guys where did
work out?

Speaker 4 (21:02):
Okay, That's all I'm saying ahead.

Speaker 8 (21:04):
But my point is is that Justin Phils went from Chicago,
which was a bad organization. He went in Pittsburgh. We
act like Pittsburgh is, but they've been messing up since Chili.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
He has forty eight fumbles since twenty twenty one.

Speaker 4 (21:18):
Woh, but is that is that the organization? So I'm
just asking you, is that the forty eight fumbles?

Speaker 8 (21:26):
But here's my point. I think sometimes these organizations can
kill a kid's confidence, mess him up. My point is
Sam Donald got somewhere where he got stable. Baker Mayfield
got stable with some people that really kind of you know,
knew what they're doing. They sat behind, and maybe he
needs to go somewhere to a stable organization. Shit behind,
don't worry about starting to shit and learn and then

(21:48):
you know, come back, build your confidence up. I mean,
I think he could be a backup. I won't say
he can't.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
I don't think.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
I don't think he could be a backup because he
can't throw the football.

Speaker 4 (21:57):
I just I don't see it, Chili, I don't see it.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
I'm talking about I'm talking about I'm talking about consistently.
I'm talking about consistently. That's why Tim Tebow couldn't stay
in the league. He couldn't make a fifteen yard pass consistently.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
You could make it.

Speaker 5 (22:15):
He better.

Speaker 6 (22:15):
Yeah, listen, there's not sixty four quarterbacks in the world
that are you know that.

Speaker 4 (22:20):
I'm not interested in Justin fields, I hear.

Speaker 5 (22:23):
But again, yeah, I appreciate you, Cheerley.

Speaker 4 (22:26):
All right, let's there's not one.

Speaker 6 (22:27):
Yeah, go ahead, but they're not sixty four. I mean,
somebody's gonna need a backup. There's not that.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
I don't see a coach, uh that that's a project.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
And you have to convince people.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
I'm telling you that forty eight fumbles carrying that around
real quick? You up, Justin and Bermuda. You're in the
odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 4 (22:45):
What's up Justin?

Speaker 12 (22:48):
A couple of international Yes.

Speaker 4 (22:50):
Sir, sound nice, Crystal Clear from Bermuda.

Speaker 12 (22:54):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I called in. Usually it's my daughter's
bedtime when the show is on.

Speaker 8 (22:59):
What you get in?

Speaker 12 (23:02):
Yeah, Man, I used to be a really big Justin
Fields guy when he was Ohio State. I think, like
like Tim just said, I think he needs to sit
behind somebody and fix his mechanics. Man, the coaches, he
he doesn't really play really well at the pro level.

Speaker 7 (23:18):
He needs to sit.

Speaker 12 (23:18):
Behind a guy maybe like he could be Lamar Jackson's
backup something like that, a team that uses a mobile
quarterback where he doesn't have the pressure to start and
just fix his game. That maybe he could be like
a Sam Darnold or or a Gino Smith, a guy
that came back later on and was a starter for
somebody like three or four years from now.

Speaker 5 (23:39):
Yeah, I'm just.

Speaker 6 (23:40):
Trying to go get up behind a Sean McVay and
Kyle Shanahan and something like that. Showed me give me,
Andy Reid, give me get He's just justin. Hit me
something eight and Kelvin let me say this too. Eight
seven seven ninety nine on Fox. After Steve's update, we
still have a ton of calls here. People want to
chime in on justin, so we'll just keep it rolling.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
Eight seven, seven, nine, I don't Fox if you want
to chime in, Okay.

Speaker 6 (24:01):
No doubt, we'll get you those those calls in just
a moment. Right now, we got Steve to say, you're
gonna get you updated.

Speaker 14 (24:07):
Helly, Hello, we got college football on Fox TV later tonight.
It's number eight Oregon hosting six and three Minnesota in
an hour and a half and about to start Clemson
at number twenty Louisville Clemson Tigers four and five this year.
In the NFL News for the weekend, running back Isaiah
Pacheco of the Chief Still out knee injury and Broncos

(24:27):
running back JK. Dobbins out at least this weekend with
a foot injury, Tampa Bay running back Bucky Irving out
shoulder and foot injuries. Tight End for the Bills Dalton
Kincaid out with a bad hamstring, and Lions tight end
Sam Laporta out with a bad back. In the NBA,
the New Jersey Nets, excuse me, the Brooklyn Nets at

(24:47):
one in ten do have the early lead at Orlando
thirty to twenty one. Paula Benkerro the Magic out with
a string groin. And in New York, it's the heat
up late first quarter twenty eight, twenty two at the
ne for the next Jalen Brunson out with a springed ankle.
Ten and two. Detroit about to start at home against
Philadelphia the late game. We'll have Golden State at the Spurs.

(25:08):
In college basketball later tonight in Inglewood at the Clippers Arena,
number fifteen UCLA against number five ranked Arizona. Among the
games underway, at number four, Duke Blue Devil's only leading
Indiana State thirty to twenty four in the first half.
Among the four NHL games, Canucks tied mid first period
two to two at Carolina. Carolina Hurricanes eleven and five

(25:30):
so far. Nashville already won in overtime against Pittsburgh two
to one. Number two Rankedyonick Center one his match at
the season ending atp Finals, Carlos Alcarez secured the year
end number one ranking.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
This week.

Speaker 14 (25:42):
Novak Djokovic had already with drawn from this tournament sighting
his shoulder injury. The men's finals are in Italy.

Speaker 5 (25:48):
Back to you, all right, Steve, Thank you so much.
A couple.

Speaker 6 (25:51):
Rod Parker, Kelvin Washington on a fucking flashback Friday, and
for over forty year, Cirec's been helping customers find the
right tires for how, for what, and for where they drive.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
Ship Fasten free.

Speaker 6 (26:01):
Back by free Road has a protection with convenient installation
options like mobile tire installation, which is pretty dope because
they'll come to you wherever you are, work, school, home,
doesn't matter. Tirereck dot Com. It is the way tire
buying should be. Like Rob Minchin, We'll take a few
more calls justin. Fields looked terrible on the field last
night against the Patriots, and uh and we heard Willie
Klone talking about a former Jet defense wasn't spectacular. This

(26:25):
wasn't Rex Ryan's defense, but keeping them in the game
against a really good Patriots team, keeping them around. And
that's where you're wishing, man, if we had an offense
that could make some happen, a quarterback that can make
something happen, we might.

Speaker 5 (26:35):
Be able to pull this off.

Speaker 4 (26:38):
In a big spot.

Speaker 5 (26:39):
Like he man, you can't be foot like that.

Speaker 6 (26:43):
You can't not be passing for big yards, not throwing
big touchdowns, and then also be fun like you get
what I'm saying, Like you can give me something.

Speaker 5 (26:52):
You can't give me, not give me anything.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
And how many games has he played in the NFL.
I'm just curious.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
He's in just six right now, so I don't know
what number game that plays too.

Speaker 5 (27:01):
But can you answer look it up me.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
I'm just curious as how many games to have forty
eight fumbles?

Speaker 5 (27:07):
He has played in?

Speaker 4 (27:09):
How many fifty six fifty nine games?

Speaker 5 (27:12):
Oh no, no, no, yeah, fifty nine games.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
That's crazy.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
He started fifty three of them, So.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
In fifty three starts he has forty eight fumbles. Think
about that. That's crazy.

Speaker 6 (27:24):
You can't be after the fumbler game like that.

Speaker 5 (27:29):
That's that's I'm.

Speaker 4 (27:30):
Gonna call him fumble lingo. I mean, come on, I.

Speaker 6 (27:32):
Mean and then if you include interceptions where they we
don't have all day, we don't do it on the
thirty two. No, what you're looking at thirty two? So
my point is that's that's you know. What is that too?
Is eighty eighty eighty turnover turnovers in fifty nine games
fifty three starts.

Speaker 4 (27:50):
That's more turnovers than a bakery.

Speaker 5 (27:52):
Yeah. I was about you about two seconds late with
that one. All right, here we go, rob Okay.

Speaker 4 (27:57):
Yeah, eighty seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. How about we?

Speaker 1 (28:00):
Uh Steven in Minnesota, You're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (28:04):
What's up Steven?

Speaker 13 (28:06):
Yo, guys, how are you good?

Speaker 7 (28:10):
Man?

Speaker 5 (28:10):
Good?

Speaker 13 (28:10):
Hey? He is not a backup quarterback.

Speaker 12 (28:13):
He's out a third string quarterback.

Speaker 13 (28:15):
He is irrelevant. You have forty eight bubbles like you
can't even be the placeholder.

Speaker 5 (28:21):
Man.

Speaker 13 (28:21):
You're gonna fumble it when the kickers, you know what
I mean?

Speaker 4 (28:23):
Like that? Hey, Steven, that number is ridiculous.

Speaker 13 (28:28):
Amiable, unbelievable. I can't even that doesn't have fathom anybody
in the realm of forty eight bubbles of fifty nine games.
He can't teach that, so I don't care if he
sits behind somebody and the coaches are an amazing thing.
You can't hold on the football. It doesn't matter, doesn't
he can't hold it. You can't hold onto it.

Speaker 4 (28:45):
Oh man, crazy?

Speaker 5 (28:46):
All right?

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Steven, Thank you, buddy, yep, thank you. How about Alice
in Pittsburgh. You're in the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up Alice?

Speaker 14 (28:55):
Hey?

Speaker 3 (28:55):
Alice about funbelief?

Speaker 4 (29:02):
Come on, Alice Rida.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
You know what, guys?

Speaker 2 (29:05):
He had how many this is what how many teams
he's been on and this.

Speaker 4 (29:10):
Is three teams in three years. Three teams in three years.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
I mean they said, okay, he won for getting out.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
He didn't win four games. He was part of the
winning team for fourteen. Chris Boswell won those games with
his still goals. Justin didn't win the games.

Speaker 4 (29:29):
I mean, I feel bad to the kid.

Speaker 13 (29:30):
Everybody likes him.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
He's a nice kid. I want him to do well.

Speaker 12 (29:33):
But he's just not a sting starting quarterback. He's not
a backup quarterback. I'd rather have Will.

Speaker 11 (29:38):
Howard, who's a rookie.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
Didn't get I mean, I.

Speaker 12 (29:41):
Just I feel bad for him.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
I get it, Alice, and you just said it. Nobody's
rooting against him. But the numbers, this is a this
is a numbers, you know generated and we talk about
sports all the time.

Speaker 4 (29:53):
Thanks Alice.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
Uh, you know, you can't turn the ball over that
many times.

Speaker 4 (29:58):
You just can't do it.

Speaker 6 (30:00):
You gotta bring something to the table, right if you're
if you're not putting up crazy yards passing, then you
have to be giving me. Okay, he's rushing the ball great,
Like early Michael Vick, you didn't know what you're gonna
get but you you know, but he was gonna put
up crazy players, crazy yards. But he didn't turn it
over like that at the rate. This is a crazy rate.
I looked up something to give you some more context
to what we've.

Speaker 5 (30:19):
Been talking about.

Speaker 6 (30:20):
Who's the most running quarterback you can think of, aside
from Lamar? Because he's still playing like.

Speaker 5 (30:24):
Cam and Vic?

Speaker 6 (30:25):
Right, Cam Newton and eleven years, played one hundred and
forty eight games.

Speaker 5 (30:35):
He only had sixty two fumbles.

Speaker 6 (30:39):
A hundred, one hundred and forty eight games, let alone
what was it fifty six or whatever we found for.

Speaker 4 (30:45):
Justin fifty three starts? Yeah, fifty three starts.

Speaker 6 (30:49):
So and if they're only going by stars, then Cam
only has one hundred and forty four. He a handful
of games, So all right, that that makes it even
you know, more like Cam. We knew ran Cam started,
he played a bunch of I only had that many.
So yeah, that that's that's that's that's not good.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
Manny.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
In Miami, you're in the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Manny?

Speaker 7 (31:08):
What's up? Brother Dave Man? I just want to say,
I run to my car every night so I won't
miss your show, great show.

Speaker 4 (31:13):
Man, Thank you many. We appreciate that.

Speaker 5 (31:15):
That means when you do it.

Speaker 7 (31:18):
What's that again?

Speaker 5 (31:19):
So I say she's not mad when you do it?

Speaker 7 (31:21):
No, man, no, no, sometimes I want to hear you show.
I don't need no aggravation.

Speaker 5 (31:25):
There you go, you go hear THEO.

Speaker 7 (31:28):
With all due respect to everybody's opinion, man, I don't
care if you bring back Vince Lombardi Donjula. This man
is not a quarterback. I will tell you this. He's
a hell of an athlete. He's won me a ton
of money in the in the proper the Russian right
the brother last I rushed over like for sixty yards
six right.

Speaker 4 (31:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (31:47):
No, I'm telling you every time he plays, I'm over
on him, and I'm telling you one all the time.
He's a great athlete. I think has anybody ever thought
about maybe putting him into slot like a little you know,
slot receiver him get the ball and you know, run
after it like that.

Speaker 5 (32:02):
He ain't going in the slide.

Speaker 6 (32:04):
You just keep him at quarterbacks so you can get
them your prop money on the man.

Speaker 4 (32:07):
He appreciate you. I appreciate him.

Speaker 6 (32:09):
But man, you ain't gonna begin because then you're gonna
mess around. Man, he was making money, rob Now you
gonna lose money trying to he gonna get four receptions,
so trying to put him at receiver.

Speaker 5 (32:17):
Don't put that man in the receiver.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
And let's squeeze one last one in on this. A
lot of people wanted to get in Justin in New Mexico.
You're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's
up Justin?

Speaker 5 (32:28):
It's better not be Justin Fields.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
Call him right, Hey, good evening, fellas, can you hear me?

Speaker 4 (32:34):
Yes? How are you, Bud?

Speaker 3 (32:36):
I'm doing good, man, I'm sitting in the car to
talking to you. O. Man, I just got off work.
So man, you know, the kids had a bad situation
in the NFL. He was he was a highly recruited
guy out of high school, a FOM star out of Georgia. Man,
he's from the state of Georgia. He had he couldn't
beat out Jake fromm in twenty eighteen. Man, So when

(32:59):
he got the I didn't really see a lot. I
didn't really feel really.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
Good about him.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
And when he transferred he went to Ohio State for
two years. Obviously, had a good college career, great high
school career. Then when he got to the NFL, he
just fell off man. But he's not a small quarterback.
He's a very, very athletic kid. Yeah, I think I
think if he got with the right coach, right coordinator,

(33:24):
right system, maybe he has another chance. I would take
him over Kyler Murray to be in an NFL in
the next couple of years.

Speaker 1 (33:32):
If you ask me, wow, I think I don't know
about that's interesting.

Speaker 3 (33:36):
I think I think. So that's my take.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
Kyler Murray's had some moments and some some you know
what I mean.

Speaker 5 (33:41):
I asked. But the one thing that I do think.

Speaker 4 (33:43):
To the college, thanks for the call, appreciated, Justin, Thank.

Speaker 5 (33:46):
You, Justin, Justin Nofields.

Speaker 6 (33:48):
I do think being sixty three two twenty seven eight
list Justin that it kind of be somebody could be like, oh,
you know, I'm a mad scientist.

Speaker 5 (33:57):
If I get ahold of that.

Speaker 6 (33:58):
Kyler Murray has a big are and it was also
an incredible high school football player and athlete baseball player
on that but I could see the size of Justin
Fille's maybe giving him, keep giving him opportunities that maybe
on paper he doesn't deserve. I can see that that
maybe Kyler wonn't get you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
No, I get it with that, But I'm just saying
he doesn't have the like Kyler at least has a
body of work.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
Well, he's won some game, you remember.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
The hell I mean, they got him a bunch of money,
the Hall. Murray's got a full he got the full,
big contract. Like it's like it's it's apples and oranges.

Speaker 5 (34:35):
But you think that works against Kyler though?

Speaker 4 (34:37):
And that now, yeah, I'm understanding that.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
You know what I mean. I thought you were gonna
be this, but.

Speaker 4 (34:41):
This is you gotta remember Kyler Murray. I mean, and
and and I know we gotta get going.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
But Kyler Murray, think about the history of sports, the
first guy ever, Like when I say, the first guy
ever to be drafted in the first round of Major
League Baseball and the NFL, nobody else in this country
that has ever happened to it teld you about what
kind of athlete he is, do you know what I mean?

Speaker 5 (35:06):
We don't question that, listen.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
That's the crazy part, all right.

Speaker 6 (35:09):
He's like they say, he's like, hey, this is coming
to state of Texas. They say he's like the best
high school quarterback that's Texas, Matthew Stafford, Drew Brees, all
these electric and great quarterbacks out of Texas, they say
he's the one, which is crazy to say so.

Speaker 5 (35:22):
All right, playing today Checho City on the way.

Speaker 6 (35:25):
Plus uh was there a little bias when it came
to the AO MVP. We'll talk about that as Well's

Speaker 9 (37:06):
I knew that?

Speaker 5 (37:07):
What did you do today?

Speaker 1 (37:09):
I knew that it wasn't for Justin Fields, I would
have been three and oh last.

Speaker 5 (37:13):
Night, Oh yeah, that's twelve and a half. I saw
that thirteen.

Speaker 1 (37:15):
They know they won by thirteen, and they couldn't.

Speaker 4 (37:19):
Get's why you're so hot? Yeah? There you go there, okay.

Speaker 6 (37:22):
Okay, And that's why we had Ian and I had
all these great topics problems.

Speaker 5 (37:26):
No, we got to start with justin field right.

Speaker 6 (37:28):
Now, it's my show. There you goes why I saw that.
I saw that lie I laughed so hard. Vegans know
what they be doing.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
It's I believe it was thirteen, right, twelve and a half,
twelve and a half, and they went by thirteen.

Speaker 4 (37:42):
All right, here we go two and one. Last night.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
I'm up to seventy three and sixty seven as my total. Tonight,
I at the Brooklyn Nets. Of course it was on
social media earlier. Brooklyn Nets plus fourteen and a half.
They're probably getting killed by Ian. We are getting killed
by forty to night or something. But Brooklyn, that's plus
fourteen and a half taking on Orlando, Philadelphia plus three
and a half.

Speaker 4 (38:05):
They're in Detroit. Yeah, and the Rocket.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
I'm just expecting the Detroit to lose any day now
because they're ten and.

Speaker 4 (38:11):
Two and they haven't.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
Yeah, they haven't lost New they haven't lost any game
they've been they've been unbelievable.

Speaker 6 (38:16):
Well yeah, and be might not play and just the Yeah,
I just might be a tough one for you.

Speaker 4 (38:21):
Yeah, but plus three and a half.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
You know how they sometimes the ones that look so
obvious that they just aren't anyway pants.

Speaker 4 (38:27):
Yes, Houston minus seven and a half.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Uh, Houston is taking on Portland trail Blazers in Houston.
So the Rockets minus seven and a half, Philadelphia plus
three and a half, and the Brooklyn that's plus fourteen
and a half. And remember, I'm not telling you who
to bet on. I'm telling you who I bet on.
All right, Uh you know what, Kevin, I really want
to get to this. How much time do we have, Alex?
Okay a min and a half?

Speaker 5 (38:51):
Yeah, go ahead, I know, I know, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (38:53):
Anyway, you know the vote.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
I hear people on the radio talking without any knowledge seriously,
and it drives me crazy right away. It's like Aaron
Judge one because he played for the Yankees. If Kyle
Rawley was played for the Yankees, he would have won
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.

Speaker 4 (39:11):
But Derek Jeter. Guess how many MVPs Derek Jeter won?

Speaker 2 (39:15):
Done?

Speaker 5 (39:15):
Right?

Speaker 4 (39:16):
Zero?

Speaker 1 (39:16):
Come on, stop stop, Bertie Williams.

Speaker 5 (39:21):
Zero.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
I could go on and on and on. Okay, no
nobody would an mvpece. But here's my point.

Speaker 4 (39:28):
There's an East Coast bias.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
That's why Judge won is because the East coast bias.
Larry Stone is a respected columnists in Seattle, and I
guess he reached out to the people who had the
votes and he put on.

Speaker 4 (39:45):
Twitter the voting.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
You ready, voters from the Pacific time zone voted for
Kyle Rowley five to one over Judge, so there's a
West coast bias.

Speaker 4 (39:56):
There were five to one.

Speaker 1 (39:59):
The Eastern vot voters you ready, fourteen Eastern votes seven
to seven, so Judge didn't run away with the East
Coast vote. It was seven to seven. And guess how
Judge won. In the Central time zone nine to one
for Judge, So it was people in Cleveland and Detroit

(40:19):
and Chicago in the middle.

Speaker 5 (40:21):
You have a vote, and did you use your Detroit residence? Rob?
You think you slick

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
