show for you, as always, a lot of NBA to

(01:10):
talk about, but also some NFL. We're gonna keep it
on the download right now, but trust we got a
night's NFL topic coming up, so you'll enjoy that. But
we got Celebrity Corner as we do every Friday, or
starting starting next week though when the NFL is um

(01:30):
about to get going, we will move Celebrity corner to
a Thursday or Wednesday or something like that, and Friday
we'll stick to mostly football. But today the last Friday
celebrity corner, uh for the of the season. I should say, now, Rob,
are we we're doing first caller Friday too? We're doing

(01:52):
that's talk about this today, First time Friday. Is that
what's called first time Friday? Yep? Yes? Okay? Is that original?
Or is that something you Detroit on? No? I never
did that in Detroit, but I'm sure that somebody else
in the country has done first time just as long
as it wasn't you other partner nor cool cool cool

(02:12):
cool cool. Okay, Well, let's get right into it, Rod
Parker and last night, now, I got to go on
First Things First this morning and rip to shreds one
of my favorite guys here at FS one, Nick Wright,
because you know, he's all on the Lakers gonna beat
Not only are the Lakers going to win the West,

(02:35):
but he says Denver will beat the Clippers. This was
after this was he said that to his pacing Game
one his pick, his pick going into the playoffs was
Denver in six. He he amended that after the first series,
first round and said Denver in seven and I don't

(02:58):
care if he if they play. They got forty nine, right,
Denver a winning and I let him have it. And
I know you do the same. You got something you
want to say, so go ahead. Of course, the Clippers
blasted him by twenty three. It was even worse than that, actually,
But you you got something on your mind that you
want to get off your chest. I just I just

(03:19):
want to like, I don't want to be like a
prisoner of the moment or just go over the top
with it. But but I do believe. But here we go,
But here we go. Kawhi letters the best player in
the NBA. And I last night watching that team all
together in the clinic that he put on, he had
twenty nine points Chris in thirty two minutes twelve or

(03:41):
sixteen shooting. And this is not like he just had
one good game. These are the things that you start
to look at and you see this guy shooting sixty
four and a half percent inside the three point arc
this postseason, not last night. I don't have that. I

(04:03):
just yeah, okay, just do it. Yeah, yeah, sixty four
and a half. And he's the first player since Michael
Jordan in nineteen eighty eight. You mean nineteen eighty eight.
To score at least twenty nine points in his first
seven postseason games, he could easily have thirty play. Remember
last night, he didn't even play the fourth quarter because

(04:25):
it was a it was a route. It was a route.
And the thing about kawa and I get it, people
will make all the excuses. Oh, you know, he's always heard,
he's always load managing, he's this, he's that he didn't
play enough games to be the MVP. He's never won

(04:46):
a regular season MVP, even though he's won a couple
of finals MVP. He is the best player in the league.
And I'm I'm talking about of the people available playing
right here, right now. We could talk about Kevin dur
Ran next year when he's back in the league. I'm
talking about all the players playing. He's the best player
in the league. You're basically saying he's better than Lebron,

(05:09):
because the trio of guys in the conversation would be, honest,
Lebron and and and Kauai. Yeah, and I would take
I would say Kawai, k D and Lebron. But I'm
saying that's all I'm saying. Okay, And here's my thing.

(05:29):
It's not just you know, you can talk about their
guys who can put up better numbers and do stuff.
It's his impact and what he does. I look at
everything and you could say Lebron's been to the finals
more and and all that, but this guy just wins
and he makes a difference. The reason that he's historically

(05:50):
better than Lebron. No, I'm just saying he's the best
player right now. He's the best player. I know people
want to say Lebron is, they wanted to give him
the MVP this year and all that, which he's not
gonna get. But he's not better than Kawhi Leonard and
ultimately that's gonna be the reason why Kawhi Leonard and
the Clippers are gonna win the championship and not Lebron.
And I know that there's an age difference, and Lebron's

(06:12):
got more, he's long in the tooth. I get all
that Kawhi is the best player. When I watched this
guy play over and over, I just cannot get over
where he is and what and Chris, you know, taking
his own career in his hands, he has set back.

(06:33):
I'm for sure of this. The Spurs will be set
back ten years losing a guy like that. We saw
the Raptors almost go down all three yesterday a year ago.
There's no way that they would be in that position
if Kawhi Leonard would still be on that team. That's
how much he means. When when when you stir and

(06:53):
add water of Kawhi Leonard, I just think he brings
the calmness that you need in a player. He never
gets rattled, he's never like too high, too low. He
he just has everything you would want and a guy
to lead your team. And I think he's the best
player in the league right now. Let me ask you

(07:15):
a question, Rob in your eyes, does he walk on water? No,
he's not. He's not there, and I don't. And I'm
not saying he's a perfect guy and he does everything
right or he has all the gaudy numbers. But if
you ask me who I'd want to lead my team
to win a championship, and we could pick any guy

(07:37):
in the league, it would be Kawhi Leonard every single time.
Not Lebron James, not Yannis. Alright, I would all right,
all right enough, and I'm a Kawhi fan, But you
are just going. I mean, my goodness, that's why I
asked about to walk on water. I mean, you're Iron

(07:58):
in his T shirts in the morning. I mean, come on, man,
what are you talking. You always jump on me, Chris
brus Or, you're a prisoner of the moment. Let it
play out now, you're going help going on? I let
you go out for five minutes and your little soliloquy

(08:20):
you're old to Kauai. After game one of the second round,
will you slow down a bit. I'm like you. I
picked the Clippers to win as well, but it's not
because Kawhi is better than Lebron. Let's see how these

(08:40):
things play out, you always say, and let it play out.
Let it play out. The best player in the world
may be determined over the next few weeks. And Kawhi
is playing great, and he does have some advantages. I
like about him better than Lebron. Number one, the mid range.

(09:01):
All you young folks out there, all you parents who've
got little kids that want to play basketball, and the
coaches and their friends, and even your sons and daughters themselves,
all they want to do is shoot the three. Put
in a tape of Kawhi leonars, sit them down with
you tomorrow night and let him watch Katwy Leonard and

(09:23):
then put in a tape from the last few years
and let him watch Kevin Durant. The mid range game
is still valuable, and that's one thing Kawhi's got over Lebron.
Lebron doesn't have that pull up mid range jumper, those
spots on the floor in the mid range where if
he gets to is virtually automatic, and that's a great

(09:47):
advantage with Kawhi. I'll give him that. Obviously at this stage,
he's probably a better defender than Lebron. But you know,
Luca had his way with Kawhi. For the most part,
Kawhi did Okay. He's not the defender he used to
be because he I guess he focuses more on offense now,
but he's still pretty good defender. Lebron no, when they
met in Game one of the Bubble, Lebron showed that

(10:10):
when he wants to, he can still d up, and
he d up Kauhi. He's the only guy I've seen
be able to stop Kauhi getting to his mid range
spots and hitting his midrange jumper. But I will give
Kawahi those things. But you know, He's never gonna win
an MVP Award regular season if he only he's gonna

(10:30):
play sixty games, He's just not going to happen, and
that will be a mark against him. But you know,
I'm with you, robbing that I like him. I'm just saying,
slow down, Lebron is more talented, and I still think
right now, I think Lebron is still better. He does more.

(10:51):
You know, he controls the tempo better. He obviously is
a better passer and playmaker, scores just as much as
Kawuhi similar efficiency, actually a little bit better in the
regular season. Um, Kauhai is a better shoot, no doubt.
And like I said in the mid range, here's another
thing I like better about Kauai. He's not overly ball dominant.

(11:14):
His game is very has a ton of similarities to
Michael Jordan. It really does. And that's why said it. Yep.
And then when I just gave you the stat, the
last player to do it, yep, twenty nine or more
points in seven the first seven postseason games Michael Jordan
in nineteen eighty eight. So you're right, yeah, he's But

(11:35):
but I would say, and you you've said this before,
it is easier to score. I mean it's a lot
easier to score now than it was in nineteen eighty eight. Yeah,
we both know, even close. But still that's taking nothing
away from Kauai. I just want to see it play out.
Um and I and I, as I said, I picked
the Clippers too, But it wasn't because because Kauwhai is

(11:57):
better than Lebron in my eyes, I'm just I think
it's because they have more depth. Um. They're both got
good coaches, but I give Doc the advantage. Um, but
their depth in their defense, particularly on the perimeter, and
they're hunger. I just think it's better one through fifteen
or one through twelve than the Lakers. But look, you're

(12:18):
not You're not off the wall by any stretch. I mean, heck,
it's they're right there. They're right neck and neck. When
the youth. Yeah, when you saw them last night, Chris
finally like they're now thirteen and one, that's the number.
It was twel every one going into it when they're
at full strength. Patrick Beverley was back last night. When

(12:40):
you watched them last night, isn't that what they probably
were envisioning, like what they were able to do, Like
like they they after the first quarter, I think it
was thirty one. All after that, it was it was,
it was over. Absolutely, I totally agree. I mean, look,
a tough first round and then a few days off
in the bubble has given them time to kind of

(13:01):
find themselves and get like Mintres, Harold and lou Williams
were able to play themselves in the shape in the
first round. Marcus Morris is I mean, he's he's bawling
out ye. And I'm sure even though he got crushed
and I crushed him too, with the stepping on Lucas foot,
taking off his shoe and some of the other things,
I'm sure he endeared himself even more to his teammates

(13:24):
with that stuff. Though you love a guy like that,
you know that, you know we play against them, but
your love playing with them absolutely, So I'm with you, Rob.
I mean, they if they play like that, I mean,
we know they're the best every game and they're gonna
lose some games, There's no doubt about it. But I'm
just saying, you can see the vision of what that
team is and if all the working parts are together,

(13:48):
I'll say this, Chris, They're not gonna win every game,
but I don't believe anybody can beat them four times
in seven games, Dan Press, what we have to hurt themselves?
Am I right? Yeah? They probably. I mean, look, the
Lakers are tough. I think there I picked the Clippers,
but you know, I'm not writing off the Lakers, but
they need you know, they got a D and Lebron

(14:09):
and you don't know what in the world you're getting
from anybody else. It's not that way with the Clippers,
and so I agree with I think they're a better team,
all right. Eight seven seven ninety nine On Fox eight
seven seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. Rob
Parker just dropped the hammer. Is Kawhi Leonard the best

(14:30):
player on Earth? You're turning away in That's what Rob thinks.
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. Will continue the
conversation with you next Fox Sports Radio The Eye Couple.
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Chris Brussar then Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the

(14:50):
iHeart Radio app. All right, it's the R Couple of
Chris and Rob. We got the heavy one on the
ones and twos in for DJ Alex tyser A, Don Brown,
the Heavy One super producer Lee is in for Rob Ge. No.
Rob G's off, Rob No, he's off almost as much
as you, my goodness, as much as you because more Monday,

(15:15):
I am off Monday O uper day. It's labor down.
I'll I'll be laboring, filling it. That's what you do.
And also I'll be here for the odd couple you do.
You work holidays, so then you can take off like
four regular days for every holiday you work. I know
your schemes. I know him. All right. Anyway, we brought

(15:35):
to you by Geico. Did you know that? Right now?
Guy goes offering an extra fifteen percent credit on car, motorcycle,
and RV policies. That's right, fifteen percent on top of
what you already save with Gico. I mean, come on,
what are you waiting for saving extra fifteen percent when
you switch? Here's the date though, October seventh. All right,
visit geico dot com to learn more. All right, Rob,

(15:56):
we threw it out. It's Kawhi Leonard, as Rob Parker says,
the best player in the world, James in Chicago. You're
on the odd couple of Fox Sports reading what you got, James,
My boys, my boys. Man, it's good to be back
on but a Rob, Yes, I got uh, I got
something for you real quick. You know you and Lebron

(16:17):
isn't that different because the older you get, the girls
you date still the same age. The whole that he
get his superstar teammates is still the same age. Nothing. Okay, okay,
yeah you got me? Yeah all right, but I but hey, Chris,

(16:42):
this is this is few. Kawhi Leonard is the best,
is the better player than la Brun And I'm gonna
give you three reasons. The first reason is because why
I could score from all three levels Lebron shooter right, umah?

(17:03):
I seen Kawhi play here three different systems and win
until I think he's gonna win another title this year
Lebron to only only seen Lebron be successful in one
system that's where he's ball dominant. And the third reason,
Kawhi as a way better defender than Lebron have ever had.
Man and especially now, y'all seen when he was going

(17:25):
against Luca. They had to. I mean, Luca put on him. No,
you shut down Luca. No, it wasn't always a screen.
He didn't I was shocked he didn't keep in front
of him more. Yeah, you gotta admit that. And he
wasn't better. He ain't better than Lebron. Lebron used to
be a top flight defender. You your first two points

(17:47):
are fair. I actually thinks in that will Chamberlain mold
where everything has to revolve around him and that's hurt him.
Charles winning. Okay, okay, how did Lebron do against Jason's
every Jacob terry? He struggled in that series? That appreciate you.

(18:09):
How about West in South Carolina? You're on the odd
couple of Fox Sports. Read what you got West? What's
going on? Fellings Man? Not much? Man, Hey, I'm gonna
tell you like this. I've been on Kauai ever since
that first year the Spurs played the Heat and I
didn't know who he was at the time, but I
just saw the way he wasn't backing down from Lebron.

(18:33):
And I've just been anybody who can buck up against
somebody like Lebron and knocked back down. I said, I'm
gonna keep my own And he's developed and now, and
I might sound a little backwards with this, I think
Lebron is the best player all the time. But right now,
Kawhi is definitely the best player in the league. And
it's just like you guys said one thing about it.

(18:54):
When it gets the crunch time, I feel confident in
Kauhi compared to no doubt about it. I think I would.
I would because Lebron doesn't have that mid range like
he's either going all the way to the hole or
he's shooting a long three right. You know he's that
limits him. And just then the other part two is

(19:17):
you're afraid when he steps up there to take free throws.
Later again, he's not as good as and I think
Rob like like when we think back to when the
infamous pass to Kyle Corver in the corner right and
he was driving against Draymond and everybody was like, why
didn't you either either keep driving or pull up or something.
That's my point though he could not. He didn't have

(19:40):
that where you can stop on the diamond just go
up right like Kawhi does for a nice little twelve
footer in footer. So he if you even think about
his game the game against was it the Clippers, I
believe when he hit the game winning lay up this
right in the bubble right. The shot he took was
like a fifteen footer, but because that's not in his game,

(20:02):
it was awkward. He took it off like one foot
and threw it up. But he followed it and got
the let put back lay in. But that's my point,
like he doesn't have that and that that's a limitation
for real, no doubt. Tony and DC, you're in the
odd couple. First Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Tony Fellas,
what's going on? It is always nice to talk to

(20:23):
y'all Friday, to y'all's at the proud member of Parker's
for two Christian Brus. Yeah that a thing. Yeah, T
shirts are coming out? Who's that? Who's that? Who? I did?
The first I've heard of that. I need it up.

(20:45):
But anyway, smoke for you the other night, righting ultimate
prisoner of the moment. I guarantee you well, Bobby Brown
dropped it. Don't be cool. You were the only person.
But in the Michael Jackson you pla, Bobby Brown is
the man. You know, you are the ultimate prisoner of
the moment. Christ Bush because I received because I for

(21:08):
his man, because say he's got God potential. Stop it.
This man Kaul is going for his third championship and
win eight nine years in the league, and he con
be falls MVP each time. Okay, with three different organizations,
Crystal sort So who cares this man is about chips.

(21:29):
He's not getting all in his feelings because somebody tweets
about him comparing Scottie Pippen and all that. This man
is focused for the capital f You guys have a
good Liberty weekend forever. Not my man, Nick naked South Carolina?
My goodness, No, I did not nicking South Carolina. What's

(21:49):
somebody Nick is with Bruce hars brigade. No, he's not.
Stop it, my man, My man, Nick, I just I
just for South Carolina. Line of South Tid. I just
threw up in my mouth. Go ahead, and Nick. This
reminds me of that time that robbed James Harden was
the best in the world after a few years. No,
it's not. It is not the same, Nick, It is

(22:13):
not the same. It is not rob You did you
not say that's not the same, Nick, knowing when it's excellent,
point Nick, the best player in the world is It's
like Chris says, it's a mythical status. It's not based
on right here, right now. So when you look at
guys like Lebron who were always the best in the
world for the past ten years, he was always the

(22:34):
best on his team in terms of the best scorer,
the best pastor, the best rebounder, best defender, and I
Kawhi has a chance to be the best. But I
don't see him quite carrying that load. And on top
of that, if his shot doesn't go in outside of defense,
I don't really know where else he can. Nah, you
can't use that if his shot doesn't go in, I
can't that that he's shooting sixty four and a half
percent inside the three, and you're talking about if he

(22:57):
shot outside and twenty nine points a game the first seven,
just like Michael Jordan nineteen eighty eight. Nick Nick terrible.
Don't call back here ever, you have some nerve to
call this phone? Hang up? All right? It is the

(23:21):
eye couple, and uh, I guess some agreed some didn't
with Rod Parker. All right, it's sigh for celebrity corner.
My god, I know, for the odd couple. Celebrity corner.
He's an actor, a writer, a director. He plays Jabbari
on Saints and centers on Bounced TV. I first saw

(23:43):
him on OZ and then of course he was on
the wire as well. Good brother. I've talked with him,
uh privately on the phone. J D. Williams, what's up?
Man's all right? Hey, guys, thank you for having me
really really our apprecimmude because j D. Rob, I don't
know if you've seen, he rips me and you sometimes

(24:04):
you'll give us love, but sometimes you're ripper our takes
on Twitter. That's all I had to be like, Yo, man,
you gotta come into the arena and defend some of
your stuff. It's Jay did. It's all right, you know,
like if we all agreed on everything, it would be
a horrible world we live in. I mean, this is good,
exactly exactly. Well, let me say first off, like I said,

(24:25):
thank you guys for having me on the show. I
really appreciate it. And I gotta give you guys a
lot of a lot of credit and a lot of
respect because your show was not sensational in the sense
that you know, Rob, you do a stream with no
Chaser and Chris. You know, you try to bring the compassion.
Sometimes you're too compassionate. You trying to tell you yes,
but you don't hear what you guys have a good

(24:46):
you have a good balance, and I appreciate being on
and things to happening. Thank you, man, we appreciate that.
Now you're from Newark, I know you're a basketball fan.
What what What is the number one story in the
playoff off right now? To you? Uh? Well, I mean,
I think the whole bubble situation itself is is wild,

(25:08):
because really you don't I don't feel like I don't
know who is gonna win the championships this year, like
we got favorites and yeah, but anything can happen, like
somebody could get sick or still injuries can come, got
a bit or something like that. So I really feel
like the situation of the unpredictability of the bubble, I

(25:28):
think that's the most exciting thing about JD. What what
about I'm assuming you were a Nets fan or you
still left they're in Brooklyn now or not. Of course,
I still hold on to the fact that Jathan Kidd
brought us two years in the row to the finals
and people totally forget that. But oh yeah, I'm still
one of those guys that kind of pose onto that

(25:50):
phone that was sighting team man. But they got annihilated
in both finals. And that's why nobody ever right, no,
they ever thinks about that. Yeah, it was it was
really But did they take Spurs to six? We did,
but the thing was that the next year. But the
thing was, we know that was just this one thing.

(26:10):
It was just Jason's kids brain just running that whole team.
You know. So if that team had been in New York,
if they had, they would be legendary and you know
what's crazy and if they didn't win it, like those
are some of the lowest rated finals. Two like because
New Georgy doesn't have like a TV like its own TV.
Uh um, you know they don't. They don't county. They

(26:35):
split between New York and Philly. But the question I
was gonna ask you, what do you think about the
hiring of Steve Nash? Is that the right coach for
a team that's ready to win now with no experience
or would you have rather seen uh like a toy
lew or somebody with more experience or a coach who's
won a championship? M Well like right now, oh, this

(26:56):
is this, this can correlate to that question. This is um.
After we spoke the first time, Chris, I was thinking.
I started really thinking about basketball in a general sense
that a way, and I never thought about it before,
in the sense that the game is really a lot
of people say that after they talk to me. It's
really different. The game is really different now three point line,

(27:18):
no hand check, no post game, three points everywhere, you know.
So it's so I would guess that the inside culture
would have to be different too. So guys want to
work with people they liked, they respect, you know, and
people that they admire, I would get. And So to
get back to the answer to the question, Um, I really,
I really don't see a problem with it. I mean,

(27:40):
I'm not an elite basketball player. So if a bunch
of elites can tell someone who was elite to come
on over here, and I can't, I don't think I
can say that's not that's a fair point. That's a
good that's a good. Yeah, that's an insight note. But
and I like speed Nash. I mean, why that's not
a it's not a negative. You know, we asked to
the IQ of the team, I would get, right, Yeah,

(28:01):
I think it's a good high. I mean, look, it
isn't unknown because he's never coached. I mean, I think
he'll be good. He looks like he has all the
credentials as a player obviously. But let me Rob just
made a statement on the previous segment that Kawhi Leonard
is the best player in the world. Where are you
at on that? You think? Right now? The best? He
close man, Like I was just like those arms, the hands,

(28:25):
and he got this. He got a quiet ferociousness. So
it's like, yeah, he can do it, you know what
I'm saying. He just gotta contend right now with you know,
k D and AD you know coming too. So it's
like a bunch of guys that I think keeps and
be honest, you know, I think it's a bunch of
guys that keep switching, you know, the top spot, you know,

(28:46):
as they're going on because they all like right on
top of each other's head. So right, That's how I feel.
But yeah, I think Kawhid he does have that because,
like I said, his mentality is more composed I think
than but most mostly everybody else j D. I if
I wasn't wasn't a sports right, I'd be like a
TV sitcom writer. I love TV sitcoms. I've written my

(29:08):
comed sitcom. I've done a stand up routine that we
played on the air. Was it was pretty good. It
was okay, I tell you you can tell you got
a couple of Joe. I can tell you he had
a couple. But the problem was it was a ten
minute segment. What I was gonna say to you, uh,
like favorite? Can you give me one or two of

(29:30):
your favorite TV shows of all time? Like it could
be a comedy one and a drama one. One obviously
you're not in but just that you watched easy when
number one would be uh the Sensing just just off
a GP and UM, I guess one that would be
more modern, Uh would be a new show I watched. Um,

(29:53):
I'm trying to think if there's any new series like,
because I you know how everybody binges it, so you
kind of lump them all, right, right, Bro, it's kind
of hard to say what was the last thing I
thought because I probably watched at the same time I
watched the movie And I'll come back to that. Let
me ask you this, Jade, and you shared this with
me when we talked on the phone about I mean,

(30:15):
you were in the legendary series The Wire, you know,
one of the greatest series of all time. And you
told me an interesting story about how you prepare for it,
and you said that's the last time you would do that.
But but share that with us, because how you got
into that room. Oh well, long service shot. Um. It
was the day before we begin to shoot. I got

(30:37):
down to Baltimore is basically staying in the Harbor area,
and I was thinking that I had to go on
camera tomorrow. I'm playing this character already ready spressed. I
see what this character is, and I don't want to
get on set. And somebody yell out to me from
across the street. You never even walked around Baltimore, you know.
So that night when I got there, it was probably
about eleven o'clock, maybe midnight or something. I just, you know,
I just threw on a hoodie. I stepped outside, and

(30:59):
I just walk for you know, maybe a mile or two.
I ended up going down you know, Green, I found
the hood. I saw a bunch of stuff that I
shouldn't saw, you know, and then I made it back. Luckily,
you know, I made it back to my hotel. But
I felt like I had absorbed enough at that point,
you know, at least to go on the next thing
and stay, I did touch the street, but yeah, you know,
and I'm not really a mesthod actor. It just was

(31:21):
something that you know, I'm more of a theater actor,
but it was still something that I needed to feel
before I got on it. You know what, it makes
total sense. It really does. Like you want to have
a field of the city, and it happens a lot
of times. I can remember as a bait, as a
basketball beat writer covering the Knicks, we did that. We
used to Chris, you know that you get in the
airport is in Romulus and you drive to Detroit Marriott.

(31:45):
You never stop in Detroit like you used to drive
right past the city. And one day I was in
the car with a couple of the writers and we're like, tonight,
let's have dinner in Detroit, you know, because we've never
been in Detroit, Like we've never actually been in Detroit Opera.
So so I can relate to your story, no doubt.
J D Man, great stuff. Brother. We will get you

(32:06):
on again, all right, and keep tweeting out sub tweets,
positive sweets, whatever. We love it real quick. But you
know I reached out to you because it was hilarious
that you know that day that destroyed Nick. So that's
why I basically happen. It was just hilarious. But but yeah,
like I told you, man, anytime you want me to
come on, I can talk. I told you ill come

(32:28):
on and talk trash to you both. What you said,
you said anytime you said something about my hair, you
was gonna say something about my hair. I say, I'm
sensitive sometimes get hair. Sometimes your hair looks like a
mix between shredded mini weeks and a bird's net. Why

(32:50):
you know you gotta picking out of something, bro, My goodness,
you guys going. I got what's deleted? What's your hairstyle? Jad?
How you wearing the ball? That's all I got this
app that's all. Like I just say, all right, I'll
take the birds now sor right? No, brother, thank you man,

(33:13):
we appreciate. We'll get you on again, all right for sure. Man,
you guys have a great pete yep, more, I couple
coming your way. Bruce Art's five five is up next.

It's time for Bruce Sards Fab five. Are you ready?
Like lepron We're going big, It's go time. It's Bruce
Sards Fab five Number five? All right? With the great

(34:16):
Adrian Peterson getting cut by the Washington football team today,
and he may not be done. There's there's interest from
other teams, even talk maybe could New England snatch him up.
I think that'd be a good look um. So you know,
we'll see where he ends up next. He's not retiring,
but I wouldn't be mad at him if he did.
I mean, he's played with thirteen years. But it got

(34:37):
me thinking, who are the best? He's obviously an all
time great running back? Is he in my top five
running backs of all times? That is today's Fab five.
All right, here we go, number number five. All right,
this one was tough as all of them were, but
I'm going with Walter Peyton. That's right, sweetness. With the

(35:00):
Chicago Bears. He had the durability. He ran as hard
as anybody. Wasn't a huge guy, only two hundred pounds,
ran over cats, had a little wiggle, I mean durable,
and obviously won a Super Bowl late in his career,
but still was a great running back at that time
and a key part of that great eighty five Bears team.

(35:23):
Even though he didn't get the touchdown in the Super Bowl.
We all we all remember that. But anyway, Walter Payton,
number five, number four. I know he's persona nine grided
in most circles. But if we're just talking about his
ability as a running back, Oh J. Simpson a Rthel James.

(35:46):
He was a great running back, arguably the most graceful,
fluid running back we've ever seen. I mean just pretty
when he ran, I mean the speed, the moves, he
was awesome. Two thousand and three yards in fourteen games,
led the league in rushing four times, which is tied

(36:07):
for the most in the Super Bowl era. And when
he rushed for that two hundred and three, He said
a league record one hundred and forty three yards a game.
Imagine that fourth season. Every season, every game he was
going for a league almost a buck fifty O. J.
Simpson with the Buffalo Bills. They had nothing else. Everybody

(36:28):
knew OJ was getting the rock and he kept delivering.
Number three Barry Sanders, all right, Barry Sanders. He would
have even been higher. But we know he had a
unique style, very unique. He was a game breaker. He
would he had great moves. I mean he made people
miss all the time in historic fashion, and because he

(36:54):
was so shifty, could always break the big one and
made people miss. He had a lot of you know,
he lost a lot of yards too because he was
always looking for the big game. So they would take
him out at the goal line at times, especially later
in his career. But the dude was incredible. Also a
two thousand yard rusher in a season. Barry Sanders. Again,

(37:18):
that Detroit team had nothing. He was the show and
he was awesome. Number two Eric Dickerson, All right, Eric Dickerson,
the all time leader in yards in a season two thousand,
one hundred and five. Did that way back in nineteen
eighty four had six, count them, six one hundred six

(37:42):
seasons where he averaged one hundred or more yards a
game rushing. That is incredible. It's the second most to
Jim Brown, who average has seven years like that. But
you know, people always say how many one thousand yard seasons,
but this dude had six seasons average in a hundre yards. Again,
he was big, he had great speed, fantastic running back

(38:06):
number two on Bruce Hard's five five number one gots
to go with the og Jim Brown. Jim Brown five
yards to carry for his career, led the league and
rushing a record eight times. I already told you seven
years he averaged one hundred or more yards a game.

(38:26):
I mean, he was just he was everything. And I
know you might want to say, well, who was he
playing against the competition? Wasn't his great back then? Well
he didn't have any of the benefits of the players
have to day now, you know, So he was just
like everybody else back then. Didn't have his greater weightlifting
and all that, but he still was tremendous. Jim Brown
the greatest running back of all time. There it is,

(38:49):
And ap here's some of my regrets, ap Emmett Smith,
Earl Campbell, who was brief, but my goodness, for three
years we had anything like it. All right, keep it locked.
