(00:26):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. It is The I Couple.
I'm Chrissy's Ride. We're coming to you live from the
Geico Fox Sports Radio studios. Fifteen minutes could save you
fifteen percent or more on your car insurance. Visit Geico
dot com for a free raid quote at the bottom
of the hour. That's right, as we do every worship Wednesday,

(00:47):
it's the hot seat where our latest victim steps into
the arena and gets absolutely positively blitzed. This week, it'll
be Jonas Knox. He often fills in for me when
I'm off with the rare occasion when I'm off. Oh please,
I can't believe you're working tonight. It's just it's just

(01:09):
a company holiday or we don't know. I did take
a day off, you know. I took one day to
two days off last week. One was for my birthday
and the other was just you know, is this is
this a company holiday? Rob? G it is birthday? Is Yeah,
I'm treating it like a holiday. I'm gonna put it
for double time today, all are you double time? Hey?

(01:33):
I'll be working Thanksgiving thanks today after Thanksgiving Christ always, Rob,
I won't be, although this will be a very different Thanksgiving.
All right. Congratulations to the La Dodgers, first time winning
the World Series in thirty two years, God Lee, thirty

(01:56):
two years. I remember that I had graduated college and
I had my first job right, yes, eighty eight, I
was in college, remember that. Well, I started my first
for Nando Valnezuela. I started in nineteen eighty six, and
I covered the nineteen eighty six World Series. So I'm
really I was in the business show. Your first year

(02:17):
as a writer, you covered the World Series yep, nineteen
eighty six in New York. Can you believe that? Wow,
that's that's big time. My first year I was answering
phones in the Cleveland Playing Dealer newsroom. That's the truth.
That is the truth. And but anyway, congrats to the
Dodgers and Rob. Look, I think the Dodgers were the

(02:39):
better team let's let's keep it real. They could have
won five of those six games, right, but for that
bizarre in game four, Game four, right, they could have
won five of six, so they clearly were the better team.
But analytics struck again, and the decision of the Tampa

(03:03):
Bay Rays to take out Blake Snell when he was
thrown and his storic game rob nine strikeouts through five innings.
As as one of our guests, uh Nick Swisher said earlier,
nobody had done the Dodgers line up like that. They
got the best line up in baseball. And he mowed

(03:25):
down Mookie Bets, Corey Seeger, maximums, all of them. He
was running through them. And Rob you heard after the
game the Dodgers were open about Yo. We were glad
when they took him out. Oh yeah, they took him out,
you know what I mean. And I did say this,
and I thought, and I said this earlier, Chris, I

(03:48):
thought it was the wrong decision. I'd rather have my
Ace in there in a big spot who's pitching well.
But I do see the numbers, and I do see
why in the world like the whole ideas, because he
has a current streak of twenty one starts where he
hasn't been able to get through six innings. His dr
rated third time around jumps up big time, like almost

(04:09):
doubles right right. And he gave up a hit to
the ninth place hitter. And those are the signs managers
are looking for. If Mookie gets a hit, I can
live with it, you know what I mean. Mookie Betts
is a good hitter. Uh, the ninth place hitter. He
should be able to dominate and not give up a hit.
And I know that's unfair because those guys are major
leaguers and they swinging the bat too, Chris, but I

(04:32):
think that's what set off the alarm. I agree with
Nick Swisher. Go out and have a conversation. He stepped
out of the dugout field, raise his hand right. If
the umpire sees that, Chris, it's a wrap. You can't
go out there. And then he says, nah, I'm feeling great. Uh,
you know, the ninth place hitter just got lucky. That
was a good pitch. I feel great. You know. Don't

(04:55):
don't judge me on you knew right, No, I know,
but I'm just saying he couldn't even even make that case. Yeah, look,
I disagree vehemently with the decision by Kevin Cash. And
as you know, Rob, maybe it wasn't even his decision.
It may have been the front office. A lot of
stuff comes from upstairs, right, Absolutely, Roberts right. The fact

(05:19):
that he's as soon as he stepped out of the
dugout he was raising his hand. That told Nick Swisher,
we don't know if he's Nick is right, but in
Nick's mind that was like, oh, this was this was
the front office predetermined collaboration with them before. Yeah, but here, look,
this is the only thing I'll say in somewhat supportive
Cash or whoever made this decision for the raise. If like,

(05:44):
let's say they leave snell In and Mookie Homers and
it's now two one Dodgers as it ended up being
that ending anyway, then he's probably getting criticized. Maybe probably
not as harsh, but he's certainly getting heat and people
are saying exactly what you throw out. You should have known.

(06:06):
He hasn't been able to go six full inning all year.
You know, he's done after five. Look at his era.
Look blah blah blah blah blah. So I will give
him that the only way for him to win in
this situation was for it to work out, right, you
leave snell in and he mows them down again, or
you make the switch and you're Nick Anderson and your

(06:27):
relievers pitch well. But give him that. But the Nick
Anderson who you just brought up, if his numbers were stellar,
I could buy it. But if you're going by the
numbers mediocre, right, he had given up what was it,
seven spends, eight or runs in his last ten innings,
So he hasn't been he hasn't been locked down, shut right,

(06:51):
shut down. We're leaving. So so how could you put
in a guy who's been struggling? Right, So you're looking
at the regular season numbers for him and totally ignoring
the postseasons. All right, let's stick with the Dodgers. But
this was a big story too, Robie. You alluded to
it earlier, justin Turner getting criticized because here's the setup.

(07:15):
He played the first six seven innings, and in the
second inning, MLB found out that his test from Monday,
his COVID test from Monday was inconclusive, all right, not negative,
not positive, but inconclusive. And then his test from Tuesday

(07:38):
comes back in like the sixth, seventh inning and they
find out it's positive, and he disappears. Right he's in
the clubhouse, he's getting everybody what's going on, right, right,
because I think it was a rio somebody they put
in for him, and you're wondering what was that about.
And then you know it's announced after the game he

(07:59):
has COVID. He had so they took him out and
he's not in the he's not in the celebration, you know.
And then he comes out onto the field with his
wife and celebrates with his teammates. So that is the situation,

(08:19):
go ahead. I think it's totally selfish. He's selfish, totally
selfish Chris. And then the excuses, Well, he was already
positive and he was playing with teammates. No, no, no,
he didn't know, and nobody knew. Once you know that,
there's a chance you could spread it. And Chris he

(08:39):
wasn't just out there celebrating. He had no mask on,
knowing he's a carrier of it. I understand Justin Turner's
a long time Dodger and he dreamt about this this
moment since he was a kid. I get it, but
we know it's not a good thing for people to
get COVID. If it was okay and everybody could just

(09:02):
get COVID and we go on about our lives, we
wouldn't be on this mask kick. Chris would be in
Los Angeles. We would be in the studio with Rob
g and Alex if it didn't matter. It mattered because
the protocol in baseball had done a great job. Chris
after a bumpy start, and nobody got it because the

(09:22):
players followed the protocol and the tests were done, they
did a fantastic job. This wasn't an NBA bubble. People
were going home, people were traveling all over the country.
Baseball was as is Chris and nobody got it. So
for him to get it and then to go out
and hug and kiss and and schmooz and rub people

(09:47):
with COVID and no mask, that's selfish. At my podas
on my podcast Real Quick, i had Eric Davis on
the former Cincinnati Reds who won a World Series Christ
in the nineteen ninety If you remember, remember he got
injured in the World Series. He had a ripped kidney.

(10:07):
Right he was in the hospital. He couldn't celebrate when
when the Reds bta's in the World Series with his teammates.
Despite that was the only World Series he ever won.
Would he have loved to have gone out there? And
I know it's different. He was injured so he couldn't.
But sometimes you have to look out for other people,
and I just I'm not trying to. Justin Turner is

(10:27):
a long time Dodger. He's a good guy. He was misguided.
The optics look terrible, and Baseball had the right to
be mad and come down on him. I got no
problem with it. I totally disagree with you. I look,
I understand it wasn't the greatest. It wasn't the right
thing to do. But I understand, man, haven't won the

(10:49):
World Series in thirty two years. You've been, like you said,
a long time Dodger. He's excited, he's hyped. In those situations,
you don't always make the rotational decision. You're like, yo,
I want to celebrate. I want to get out there.
Mookie Bett said today. Man, I ain't worried about that
COVID now. I'll admit, if if somebody out there that

(11:12):
got close to Justin gets it and really has a problem,
then I'll come up here and say I was wrong.
But I don't think that's gonna happen. And my thing
is I would blame baseball. Baseball got a lot of nerve.
They came out today with a statement ripping Justin Turner,
criticize him. They have a lot of nerve because number one,

(11:36):
he was playing with an inconclusive test. Why is he
playing if you really want to be like the NBA
and lock it down. If it's inconclusive, you're not playing.
I'm sorry, but Chris, I disagree playing and don't mean
that he was he was positive. You might have it, okay,

(11:57):
but also I get it with the World Series to
get the guy a chance with non conclusive yep, and
as soon as you but you know it, well, what
if the second test came back and it was negative? Well, well,
why here's the thing too, don't know what you know?
You haven't You shouldn't we getting Why is he getting
the results from Monday's test in the freaking second inning?

(12:21):
I have no idea. Why before the game? And why
don't you have the Tuesday tests before the game? Chris,
don't have the to me, They're not in a position
to come down on Justin Turner like they do everything right, Chris,
that's stupid. To have the dude get the test results
during the World Series. Wait a minute, I want you

(12:41):
here's the here's the other thing. Justin Turner had been
around those teammates in the dugout, slapping five, spitting going everywhere,
spittle going everywhere, all that for the whole seven innings
he was there. So it proper protocol is that all
of those guys who were exposed to Justin Turner, none

(13:03):
of them should have been on the field able to celebrate.
That's the proper protocol. Because Chris exposed, you all have
to quarantine. So Baseball needs to keep his mouth shut.
They can find Justin Turner, they can find the Dodgers
if they want. But they to me, they don't have
the right to come out here and act like they're,
you know, the innocent of all blame. Just because somebody

(13:27):
has it in you come in contact. We've seen it.
It's not automatic that you're gonna get it. But the
point is once you know you have it, Chris, justify
him not having a mask out there, justify that like
I'm not just if you can't justify that saying I
get it, man, this dude, this is what you play
your whole life for in baseball he wants to go

(13:49):
celebrate with his teammates. They've had so many failures together.
I'm not saying what he did necessarily was right, but
I can understand it. I got I got no problem
with it. I'm not gonna I get it. I think
Baseball should find him because you do need to send
a message, and if you need to find the Dodgers,
that's fine too, but it shouldn't be anything crazy, and

(14:10):
Baseball shouldn't get on his high moral horse like they've
been doing everything right. You know that's my feeling about it.
Let's see what the college think, Rob, this should be
interesting eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven
seven nine nine sixty three sixty nine. You've heard myself
and Rob our views. Where are you at on this?

(14:30):
Was justin Turner selfish for celebrating after the game with
teammates knowing he had tested positive for COVID and what
kind of punishment do you think he should receive? You'll
turn the way in as we continue the conversation with
you as Chris and Rob the Eye Couple Fox Sports Radio.
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Chris Brussar then Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm

(14:52):
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app. It's the I Couple, Chris and Rob on
a worship Wednesday. We're coming to you live from the
Geico Fox Sports Radio studios. Real interested to see what
the listeners say about this one, Rob, you and I
on opposite sides of this. Justin Turner? Was he wrong

(15:16):
for getting out on the field last night celebrating with
his teammates knowing he had COVID? And what type of
punishment should he get? Maskless? Eight seven, seven ninety nine
on Fox. Let's see what you say. All right, let's
kick it off with John and Bakersfield, California. You're on
the couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, John? Hey,

(15:36):
Genlemens just wanted to say that Justin Turner went after
the commissioner instead of going after the Ashows players when
they got it, nothing happened, So I think it's kind
of personal and the commissioner ticket as such. No, but
all right, but John, hold on, But but let me

(15:57):
ask you him without a mask knowing he as COVID.
You think that's cool? Um? I think that he was
a mad dug out on base with everybody for her
seven innies. That's not when I asked you, John once
he knew he didn't put a mask on. That's what
I'm asking you. Is that cool? Well? Yeah, that's cool? Okay,

(16:22):
all right, all right, thanks for the call. I appreciate it, Jordan,
and cool Rob. I'm with you on that, but I'm
just not mad at him because I know him the story.
For him not to say that that to say that
that's cool, come on, you could you could disagree and
say I understand the situation like you said, but you
don't even endorse that, do you? Come on? No? No, no,

(16:43):
Jordan and des Moines, I, well you're on the odd couple.
Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Jordan? Hey? You know, I
I kind of agree on both sides here. I mean,
I think I think uh ruis Rob, you know, the
whole part of not coming out with a mask. Yeah,
that's kind of that's kind of stu in my opinion.
But I think on the other end, though, I mean,

(17:03):
all the hardship and all those failures the Dodgers teams
have had. I mean, they've been good since forever, and
I get that, and and I'm all for it and
everything like that. I do think it was irresponsible. If
he knew he had it, he was taken out, they
had to have told him. He should have came back
out with a mask. But at the same time, I mean,
he's out there celebrating something that they've been working on

(17:24):
for ever and he's been part of that Dodger's team.
He's one of the I guess other than Kershaw. Yeah,
I mean no, no, and Jordan. You know what, had
he come out with a mask or a double mask
on and said I can't miss that, they still would
have been killed. No, but he wouldn't have got killed
like without a mask. I'm just saying if he came

(17:45):
out with a double mask on Chris and said I
just can't I know, it's not you know what I
mean something like that? All right? Chat, I mean yeah,
Chat and Cincinnati. You're on the odd couple Fox Sports Radio.
What's up? Chat and Chris. I've been listening to that
Marvin Sapp on my morning workout, So I just want

(18:08):
to tell you that Worship Wednesday, Marvin Schapp, you got
to play him? So he Alex DJ, Alex Tysher Marvin
sap the latest one got you remember how he worked
at the NFL network, didn't he Oh, I'm sorry, that's
so check this, check this og. I think that was
a disgusting display. And it's a micro cosmos society because

(18:31):
people are being ornerary and they don't want to follow
proper protocol with science. That's why this spread is breaking
out so bad up in my places like Wisconsin and
other parts of the country. So it was horrible. Coach Roberts,
who was a cancer survivor, and he was right next
to him with no masks. I thought it was irresponsible,

(18:54):
and he really made himself look bad, and it was terrible.
That's all I got. I'll give you irresponsible. Now I
might be wrong, Rob, This is pure speculation. None of
us really knows what Justin Turner was thinking. But I
don't think it was. You know, one caller said, he's
going at Manfred. You know he's trying not laugh, you

(19:16):
know baseball, right. I don't think it was that, not
at that moment, because you just got something that you've
been trying to get forever. I just don't believe. And
that's why I'm kind of giving him a pass because
I think he was just caught up in the moment.
I get it wrong, irresponsible, all that, but I give
him a pass because I think he was just you know,
he's just excited. He wanted to be with his teammates.
I mean, Rob, you know, that's one of the best

(19:38):
memories you'll have, right, I get celebrating afterwards, and I
think he wanted that. And so now look, I said it.
If once somebody comes down with it and has some
real struggles because of it, because they were, you know,
connected to to Turner on that field, then I'll say
I was wrong. But the squeeze in one more Andre

(20:01):
in Massachusetts. You're on the eye couple Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Andre? Yeah, how you guys are doing. Thanks
for taking Mike call. Yeah, justin Turner clearly in the wrong,
stepped over the line. Uh. And the point of fact is, listen,
you can be out there. You can be in a
moment once in a lifetime championship celebration. But as you said, Rob,
you gotta throw the mask on you gotta throw the
Andy Reid shield on you. You gotta take those watchings

(20:24):
in the moment. You can get out there, you can
ra Raw, I mean you're you're major League Baseball players.
All the resources, I mean, they can find something for you, okay,
for yourself and then also for the world that's watching,
so that you can show that respect and that courtesy
and that recognition of the times that we're living. And
so we understand. You know, he's a Dodger, you know,
and he's been there so one and fourth, but he

(20:46):
definitely crossed the line in a significant way and he
needs to either you know, bes I say, a couple
of games expension, take a little bit of money out
his pocket next year. There has to be some acknowledgement,
you know that, uh, you know we were no championship.
He can't get more than the Astros. No, no, no, no, no,
it's not like that, Chris. But but he will get

(21:06):
a punishment because he because he went against the protocol.
Well you think it should be. I don't know. I
think that. I think I think Andre's right. It'll be
a couple of games to take money. It won't just
be a fine Astros. It might be it might be
three games or something. I think they should find him
fine Dodgers too, and they find him significantly for all

(21:27):
I care, But I think it could be you know
ended that. All right, we got the Hot Seat with
Jonahs Knox coming up next. But first, Fox Sports Radio
has the best sports talk lineup in the nation. Catch
all of our shows at Fox sports Radio dot com
and within the iHeart Radio app search f SR to
listen live the current temperature beyond couple are making it

(21:49):
hot in here? Damn done to sit your butt down
in the hot seat, Yes, sir, it is the hot
seat the Cup of Fox Sports Radio. A segment we
invite one of our Fox teammates to get in that
squared circle with the tag team champions, Chris Busardi, Rob Parker,
the Odd Couple Never Lost, and tonight's victim. He found
out that one guy pulled out of a fight last made.

(22:11):
He said, I'll take the fight. I don't even cut weight.
I'm not he's got guts. I'll give Jonas knocks on
short notice. Ready to throw bows in the hot seat.
What's up, Jonas? You don't need to bring oh listen,
you need to bring me in because I'm tired of
getting screwed over in this game. Every single time I
come on, there's some crubby judge behind the scenes that
screws me I'm sick of it and I want my revenge.

(22:32):
Not a good way to start, Jonas noticizing the judges. Listen,
rob G, remember that we're gonna take people away for
Jonas right now. And Rob G, what'd you say? He
came in on short notice. That's the story of his life.
He's a happily married man. The official odd Couple side piece.
All right, you know how this works. Jonas got three

(22:53):
very hot takes. He can defend two on one against
the odd Couple. Let's get started. Take number one, Jonas
says that Dodgers fans celebrating this World Series is straight
up laughable. Jonahs, you got thirty secondstay your case. Listen,
you guys have got a unicorn on your hands because
I am the only the only non Dodger ballwasher that

(23:14):
makes up members of the LA media and people at
Fox Sports Radio. So let me go ahead and get
this straight. I just want to make sure I'm understanding
this correctly. The team that constantly defecates all over themselves
in the postseason with one of the highest payrolls in
baseball ads Bookie bets, maybe the best player in baseball
is given a hundred fewer games and they finally win

(23:36):
a World Series after sweating it out against Tampa Bay
in Atlanta. And I'm supposed to go tip cars over
for that. You're serious. You can't be serious. I must
be taking crazy pills. What is the celebration about Jonas?
Stop it? This is ridiculous. You are a hater supreme
all right. You're putting an asterisk by this title. No,

(23:59):
this is a legitimate as any other championship. Do you
take away Tim Duncan's first championship because it was in
a lockout year or Lebron james first championship because it
was in a lockout year. No, everyone played by the
same rules. Everyone played sixty some odd games. The Dodgers
came out on top and, by the way, beat the

(24:20):
team that was the best in the other league in
the World Series. Give them their proud. You know, if
Dodgs are and Laker fans are looking for Halloween costume ideas,
why don't you go as fanom of the opera because
you only need half a mask. I mean you're playing
half the season. You're playing not even half. If you're
a doctor fan, you played forty percent of the season.
So I'll tell you what you guys tell Arthur loathas

(24:42):
Scott Schapiro on Thursday Friday in honor of the Dodgers,
You guys can leave after the first segment an hour
two and that way you've done as much as the
Dodgers in it account of a three hour show. Didn't
it sound like a great idea. You should be rewarded
for that. My ad is not a legitimate championship. It
is legitimate. Everybody played on the same rules. Come on,

(25:02):
Jonas with this, just give them their due. And you
know what, Jonas, had they lost, you wouldn't be around going, well,
that's not a legitimate loss because you can't expect him
to play. It wasn't a real season. You would be
on your high horse pointing to him making fun of
the Dodgers and how they lost. They won, and they
did beat the best team in the American League, and

(25:24):
they did have the best record in the National League,
and they deserved the championship. They got it done. Give
them their prop tough round to score guys, both sides
landing solid punches. But you know what for a dude
whose nickname back in the day was the executioner, to
disrespect Dodger fans like that. Oh, come on, Round number

(25:46):
one goes to the eye couple. Yes, Rob is Jodi
two years old. Never saw the Dodgers win. He had
tears coming down his eyes last night. Yeah, he'll do
he was mess. You want to disrespect the Knoxicon in
round one, you don't do it in round two. I'll
say that way. Here we go round number two. Jonas

(26:08):
Knox says that Mike McCarthy is not the problem in
Dallas for the Cowboys. Jona's got thirty seconds to your case.
You know, it was so funny. A year ago. I
kept hearing from people that said, well, Jason Garrett's gotta
go with this type of roster and this much talent,
Jason Garrett's gotta go. He's clearly the problem. Okay, So
Jason Garrett leaves, Mike McCarthy, who's got a Super Bowl

(26:30):
takes over, and then what do you know, the team
is crap again. Mike McCarthy wasn't the problem. Jason Garrett
wasn't the problem. It's Jerry Jones trying to make the
illusion that this is a talented roster with all sorts
of championship aspirations. They're not they've been overrated from the
jump and we fell for it. Jonas. You can't have

(26:50):
it both ways. Mike McCarthy can't take the job and
look at the roster and then go well, there's nothing here,
then maybe you shouldn't have taken a job. And had
they started off five and one instead of two and
five or whatever they are, then you know what, he
would be getting credit just right, So you can't say

(27:11):
it's not all. It's all. It's not his fault. It
is because he would get credit if the Cowboys were
winning and in first place in the NFC ees. So
let me. I just want to make sure that I'm
understanding this because I gotta get this straight. So if
I go to get rob dot com and I buy
a merchandise and I break out in a rash, you

(27:32):
can blame me and say, well, I'm just a slob,
I have bad hygiene, that was the issue. But if
Rob Gara also buys merchandise from get rob dot com
and he breaks out in a rash, guess what, Rob,
it's get rob dot COM's problem, not ours. No, look,
this is it's not You're right, Jerry Jones is obviously

(27:53):
the major problem. But you cannot absolve Mike McCarthy of this. Jonas.
Five games in to the season, you got players given
anonymous quotes to the media saying, the coaches don't know
what they're doing. We are not properly prepared for games.
That's on the head coach who insisted on bringing in

(28:14):
Mike Nolan as the defensive coordinator. Mike Nolan might be
the worst defensive coordinator in the country including Division one,
including Division one, Double A and Division two and three
as well. That's on Mike McCarthy. Once again, some heavy
body blows landed a couple of round houses, but Crystal

(28:35):
did not know that it's FCS and the bull subdivision.
It's a bad job by you. Number two goes to
Jonas Knocks on the technicality. Just the man six, I
just want to be different. That's so we Dido, How
did that work out for you? Try to? Here we
go take of the night, the hottest take of the night,

(28:55):
Fox Sports Radio side piece. Here in the our couple
of Jonas Knocks in the high seat, Halloween's around the
corner except this weekend, and Jonas Knox says that Almond
Joy and one hundred grand I haven't seen those in
a minute are the most underrated Halloween candy bars. You
got thirty seconds, Jonas, go for it to see this

(29:15):
is a direct middle finger to meathead candy. And you
know what the meathead candy is rickers Reese's pieces. I'm
a real man, be a real man and embrace your
sensitive side. Biden into an almond Joy. You might even
get to the nut halfway through, but fight into one.
And it's just it's soft, it's luscious. It's a change

(29:38):
of pace. You don't need all the other stuff to
go along with it. There's not a bunch of commercials
the Blue Rapper, It's just it's appealing to you. It's
aesthetically pleasing. I'm telling you an underrated music come from
underrated that that terrible hundred thousand dollar barre you bit
into that you think you're biting into act it's so
bad and the I'm in joy are you kidding me?

(30:05):
Those are like all played out candy bars that you
get from the dollar store when Jonas is going to
the movies with his new wife. That's the kind of
candy that's available, and it's two four dollars. They're not
even premium candy bars. They are the worst. See this
is a stunning development for me because I actually have
it on good authority that the candy bar one hundred

(30:26):
grand was actually named after Rob Parker because he was
charging one hundred grand for a no way, no how
being are editing staff last year the holidays, and guys
are walking around going, man, I can't afford this stuff
as they didn't worry about it as long as Rob
continues to get rich, don't don't do it. He's got
seventy five jobs. Stick with the hundred grand the candy bars.
Don't spend one hundred grand on Rob's merchandise that he's

(30:48):
trying to sling during the holidays. I ain't paying for that,
jonas you are way off when you got the nerve
to come on the eye couple and throw out Sea
and d list candy bars. Name two dozen candy bars
I'd eat before putting an Almond Joy in my mouth.
Almond Joy in one thousand grand. Those are the Kyle

(31:11):
Kuzma Duncan Robinson's Javelle McGee wild candy bars. I mean, seriously,
they're role players. You got the nerve to diss the
superstars for some freaking role players playing on the minimum salary.
Stop it. That was a spooky round to score, to

(31:32):
say the least. But let me just say this, only
one side plugged Fox Sports Radio get Rob dot com
and did not bash his own kind of light skin
black dudes. That would be Jonas Docks unbelievable kind. And

(31:55):
let me tell you something. I want to thank my friends.
I want to make my family from Halio all the
way to knox Nard, wherever you are. I did it
for you, guys. You're welcome. Jonas. You know by the
time this hits the podcast, we will live one that
will be edited out and no one will know. All right.
And you know what, when you celebrate this whin you

(32:17):
better put a mask on. Justin Turner and this is
my training. That's our man, Jonas Knox. We appreciate Jonas.
All right, piece more I Couple coming your way Fox
Sports Radio. We don't need to bring Jonason. Be sure
to catch live editions of The Odd Couple with Chris
Broussard and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm Eastern four

(32:38):
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
It's the Eye Couple, Chris and Rob wrapping up a
worship Wednesday, and a birthday show for me forty second birthday,
fifty second birthday. We're coming to you live from the
Geico Fox Sports Radio studios. We're gonna wrap it up

(33:01):
robe with some NFL talk and the hapless, horrible, terrible,
indefensible Dallas Cowboys look like they're throwing in the town.
Yesterday they traded to throw in the top. Yesterday they

(33:24):
traded four time Pro Bowl defensive end ever since dripped
into the Lions. All right. Then today they released don
Terry Poe and Darryl Worley the cornerback and uh, it
seems like they're getting rid of guys. Rob and some

(33:46):
are out there speculating that they are playing for Trevor.
That's right, trying to get and even if it's not,
I think because they're two and there, two and what
two and five? Yeah, two and five. But if they

(34:07):
get a top five pick, obviously that won't get you, Trevor.
If you're not number one, you gotta be number one.
But there are a couple of fields, yes, and you know,
you see the success of a Kyler Murray league is changing.
Deshaun Watson justin fields got those, you know, can run
and throw the football, seems like a good leader. Um, Rob,

(34:30):
I'm gonna say this, and you you know, everybody that
listens to the show knows that. You know, I like that,
and I think that is a very good quarterback. But
I'm gonna be honest if the Dallas Cowboys do get
one of those really high picks and a Justin Fields.

(34:51):
I mean, obviously if they get if Trevor Lawrence they
get the number one pick, but even if a Justin
Fields is available, I won't be mad if they taking
because you know how this league works. Those first three
four years, you're really not paying your quarterback very much
and that allows you to build around him and then
by the time it's time for him to get paid,

(35:13):
you got your team set and so uh yeah, like
I said, Rob, I don't think that would be the
worst idea in the world, if indeed that is what
the Cowboys are thinking. I mean, the biggest thing is
is you just don't know what you're gonna get with Dak.
You want to believe everything will be straight christ and
he'll be fine, and that sounds good, and you know,

(35:36):
without anybody really knowing, I mean, why not be positive
and optimistic, but it's not. It doesn't always work out
that way. And once you want you're injured, it changes
a lot of things until people can see you again. Right,
And even if you're that same guy, if I got
that top pick, I gotta be honest, and I don't
you know, the cap situation, obviously, you have to maneuver that.

(35:59):
I'm not saying you don't necessarily bring back Dak back
on the franchise tack, you know, because you're not gonna
throw the rookie in there. In most cases, sometimes he
gets thrown in, but in most cases, Lawrence, I bet
you he'd be in there. Uh you think from getting
from Jump Street. I mean Joe Joe Burrow Ye, I
think he burrow us to Murray was Baker wasn't. I mean,

(36:24):
you know, it depends, but generally nowadays they're getting in
during that first season, even if they don't start the
years or starter. I'll give you that. But you know,
when you you're right, you look at the money with
Dak and you look at the injury. You know, I'm
not gonna get mad at them if they were looking
that way. Well, Chris, I just want to say one

(36:44):
more time, happy birthday to you. Working on your birthday,
that's unbelievable. That's a Yeoman's a job for you. I'm
shocked for me, for me, for you, But man, enjoy it.
I'll be laughing at Jordan's uh probably get to hear
what and the thinking white boards, prepare the bed. It's

(37:06):
the eye couple, Chris and Rod. We'll see you guys tomorrow.
Peace
