legendary moment. I got an opportunity to sit down with
one of the fine young drivers in NASCAR, uh Ross

chest Stain. It was a cool little, cool little interview. Man,
you guys check check it out game presents conversations would
the leg and now this is your legendary moment. While
you're hitting that wall and you're moving along that wall,

tears in your eyes, what's going through what's going through
your head? So luckily, when the when the thought popped
into my head of the wall, the tears they went away.
They were they were gone. When it was back to business, like,
I go into the wall with tears and okay, okay, okay.
When I hit the wall, it hurt worse immediately, first
hit fan and I was like, oh, that's not good.

I didn't really tie the car into the wall exactly
how I went. I missed it like six inches. It
was what I think, I think what I measured was
I missed it by like a six inch mark. All Right,
I'm going a hundred. It's hard to hit six inches
and yeah, so I but the wall, the wall caught
me so fast forward like one second, and I realized

I'm not doing anything to help this car except that
I just have to hold it to the floor. So
I actually let go of the wheel, which is something
we never do. We crashed holding onto the wheels, steering.
We're hit a wall head on, We're still steering, We're
trying to save the car. When I let go, that's
when the fear came in because I've lost control. But
I trusted that if I just stayed in the throttle

of the wall would carry so when I did, the
g forces were over five g s. That's like what
a fighter pilot experiences. And in a deep bank curve,
my arms just went straight to the right. I had
no control, my visions blurry. I'm hitting the wall. It's
the longest wreck of my career. I've never wrecked for
that long before. It's usually tense of a second, hundreds

of a second impact. This was several seconds. And the
first thing I saw when I came out on either
side was a car in front of me. I ran
into or ran in the back of the six car
Brad Kozlowski and I looked over and and I saw
the eleven who I knew we had to beat for points. So,
like you said, that realization of I did that. That
was right then, but my brain couldn't comprehend. I couldn't

comprehend that it worked. I just I knew we did it.
Somebody had to tell me for sure that happened. Then
when they showed me the video. It doesn't look real.
But it doesn't look real. It doesn't. It looks fake.
But I that looked fake. I did that. That real
is sation is that I did something so out there
and outlandish that it doesn't look real that you can't

even do it again. We don't even want see nobody
trying to do it. No, we're done. We're done. It
was great, but no, it was a mic drop. It
certainly was a mic drop. What an amazing defeat that was.

When you take this suit off, you're like, oh my goodness,
I mean drenched in sweat. And it was on like
five laps. Bro. He did this and hit the wall
to get the wind like like the to see the
way he did it was pretty It's pretty phenomenal. Like
you you created a wreck for yourself, rode the wall

to get in position to basically to to win the point.
He was close enough to get the points that he needed.

is really too worried about how much money he's gonna make,
because he's already making a tremendous amount. But it'll work
out for itself. It'll always work out. I think Joe
knows what he wants and how he wants to set

up his contract to keep some of his weapons around him,
and I think that's the biggest part for him. I've
never been one to talk about somebody else's contract and
how it applied to somebody else's contract, but again, these
young boys is different, and I mean they handle things
a little bit differently. Maybe it is the right way.
Maybe maybe your teammate, maybe the guy that makes it

so that you can make the money you're gonna make,
should have an idea of what you're thinking and how
you're gonna move. I mean that that relationship between your
your best weapon and yourself should I guess should be strong.
What what would y'all take away from what Jamar Chase
had to say. I look at it like him and
Joe m there's no way they ain't talk about this

prior and because you really it's like an underrented real
We we're not talking about somebody else's contracting what they
want and what they would take and wouldn't take. But
when you say a discount, um, what kind of discounts
you talking about? Like like, if you're trying to give me, uh,

twenty dollars and you want to give me eighteen, I'll
take that two dollar discount. You know, it's so depends
on the type of discount. Regard that if that Joe
Burrow is making a lot of money million and it's
two million, are you okay with that discount? Absolutely not? Now, okay,
the type of contract that Joe Burrow is going to

demand is going to be upwards of fifty plus million
a year. So if you're Joe bro absolutely no question
you think they can afford that, and sin, see can
you afford it? If that's what he's gonna get, you're
gonna find a way to afford it. And so how

much guaranteed? That's guaranteed money per year? So I'm gonna
say with Joe, if you if he signs a five
year deal, he will sign. I'll say with the five
years would probably be an extension obviously, so to be
a six year deal technically, but a five year extension.
So I'd say five years million m Let's let's say

five years. He probably could get three hundred million. He'd
probably settled for two hundred Nah, gotta be at least
two d fifty millions. So that put him right at
fifty million a year. Now if you go long term,

and probably half of that would be guaranteed, at least
half of it. But the Bengals, this is one thing
about the Cincinnati Bengals. If you're a really good player
and you're coming up on your second contract, for the
most part, they keep you, especially the quarterback and who
they perceive as their best receiver. I believe they need
to be proactive and sign te Higgins right now. That's

what I would do. Um. But yeah, if he does
take a haircut, it would be a trim, not a
full fledge. I'm cutting on my hair, just a little trim,
give me a little. Joe Burrow is a lifer. He's
never leaving Cincinnati. From organizational standpoint, if you let this
man get out the door, you you just shouldn't be

in the business anymore. Just playing and simple. So when
you're talking about contracts and moving forward with him, there's
two things that stand out to me are Colin Murray
and Deshaun Wasson. And he's going to be way north
of what those guys are making. And absolutely man, this man,

that man, he will be way north of what Deshaun
Watson is making and what Colin Murray is making and
what ever no he will he will be making. He
will be making way more than that and way north
(15:54):
for me to comprehend, make way more than Deshaun. That's
that's great. He's going to be made more than that,
is he not he? That's why I just asked, not
prove he has so So with that being said, him
and Jamar Chase that a relationship obviously because those guys
play together l s U. There's nowhere that Joe Burrow

is going to go moving forward. Jamaar Chase, Tyler Bird
and te Higgins where and Joe Mixing where he's going
to have better weapons on the outside to for him
to become what we he's Patricking, Holmes Ish and Joe Burrow.
That's it and those guys going forward. He may take

a he may take a home he may take a
home team discount, but they are They're always around that
destructure to contract. You don't have to give it to
him in salary. You can give it to him in
roster bonus, signing bonus, or whatever the case may be.
But they will find a way to keep him in Cincinnati.
There's old way that Joe Burrow is leaving his organization.

He's a lifer going anywhere. Does Joe Burrow make it
a point to say we we gotta keep teeingwhere he
could he could walk upstairs as a quarterback for this
franchise and say, you know what, I want my three
guys around me. These guys are not going nowhere and

that is the leverage and the power that these quarterbacks
and these elite quarterbacks and this business have. They can
go upstairs and talk to the owners in the organization,
the gym's you know what, I want these guys around me.
I'm staying keep everything intact because the ultimate goal is
to win the championship, and they are right on the
cusp of being that team because they're so young and

they have phenomenal talent on that offense. Why would you
want to break that up or separator if you're owner
or the GM. Joe Burrows not leaving trust. Some some
people would say, why would Joe Burrow take any type
of a discount? And and he doesn't. That's it. That's

and and and and again. Is it up to Joe
Burrow to be sensible and contract approach. I mean, we're
looking at what's taking place. Let's just use Lamar Jackson
as as an example. All right, Lamar Jackson has an
idea of the number he would like to have. Baltimore
has an idea of the number that they would like
to award him or pay him whatever, however you want

to look at it. And it's not close. Now everybody
is stating that it's because he wants a fully guaranteed contract.
You just mentioned creative ways in terms of getting him
the money through through bonuses and different things like that.
Is this a fully guaranteed contract that Joe Burrow gets
and it wouldn't. It's it's not even a conversation. Would

you give somebody go ahead? Plex would you say no?
Because when you give somebody a fully guaranteed contract, do
you know what that team and that owner has to
do with that money they got put it in that scrow.
That's why would never happened with Cincinnati. You gotta put
the entire contract. They got the money in Cleveland. Mean, yeah,
it's a different She's not in Cleveland, he's in sense

different ownership. I'm just saying that. That is the truth
of the matter is is if you fully guarantee the learners,
that whole got to put that money in the whole
entire check. So if it's three hundred million, money goes in,

why what Joe, that's not gonna happen as Joe. Do

you feel as though Joe is sensible enough to Is
he sensible enough to do that? And I would guess
I would offer the question, is Baltimore able to put
that type of money into a bread Bashatti Bashati? He
got paper here? Do you think that it would make
sense to do that? I know, I just threw in

offered Lamar the second most guaranteed money in the history
of the league. So wherever that lands between the Shawn
Watson and I believe it's Russell Wilson or College. Um,
I was told they offered them get more than all
of them. Yeah, but it's not going to be fully

guaranteed because of that money having to go and ask
grow that. That's the thing. Now, this is a question, Um,
we haven't talked about or discuss is as we're talking
about contracts, when will we see that quarterback that says,
you know what, I want to top my contract to
a percent of a salary cap so that I'm never underpaid.

I want to make sure that I'm getting the X
amount each and every year. Will and now, well, which
team will go down now that path of doing that
and piss everybody off like the Browns did with Shaun
Watson giving him a fully guaranteed contract. It's a great question,

you have to find a way to contain them because
they can that they can make big plays at any moment,
and you can't put them into suations where then one
on one and you just leave him out there like
you don't have any respect for him. So it's gonna

be a three point game. I'm looking forward to it.
But I think Kansas City Winsay wins this game, and my, my, my,
my guy envy us is going to be the m
v P and uh, patually Mahomes is gonna win the
second Super Bowl if Pat Mahomes was that And this
is my final thoughts. If Pat Mahomes wins this super Bowl,

the Goat conversation goes to a whole another place. Like listen,
we know that he has a very very long way
to go before he gets into the conversation with the
Montanas and the tom Brady's. But with that being said,
maybe it's the Goat conversation best start in the history

of the National Football League, which Joe Burrow might have
some some input on that, which might be kind of
hard to to be and he just got his second
m v P. I don't see can the City being
good enough, uh complete enough a team to be able
to win this game. So I'm interested to see what
their game plan is going to be against Philadelphia. They

didn't make it to the Super Bowl for no reason.
They didn't make it there as an average team. So
I'm I'm I'm curious to see how the coaching staff
will approach the amount of talent that Philadelphia has. I'm
also curious to see what the defensive front of the
Kansas City Chiefs will be able to do. I certainly
believe they got to stop to run, but they're going

to have to be able to cover as well, and
I just find out to be a very daunting task
on the other side of it. I'm wondering if Jalen
Hurts can take that definitive step forward where he's talked
about in elite conversations UM coming out of the Super Bowl,
and can this defense be what it has been all
year long, which is just people that harass the hell

out of the opposing quarterback. Just didn't see to my
out of both of the Kansas City Chiefs coming into
that Bengals game, it looked like they ran out of
out of gas. I don't know that they got enough
our team. I think the Eagles are gonna win it.

one of the fine young drivers in NASCAR, uh Ross

chest Stain. It was a cool little, cool little interview. Man,
you guys check check it out game presents conversations would
the leg and now this is your legendary moment. While
you're hitting that wall and you're moving along that wall,
(02:57):
tears in your eyes, what's going through what's going through
your head? So luckily, when the when the thought popped
into my head of the wall, the tears they went away.
They were they were gone. When it was back to business, like,
I go into the wall with tears and okay, okay, okay.
When I hit the wall, it hurt worse immediately, first
hit fan and I was like, oh, that's not good.
(03:18):
I didn't really tie the car into the wall exactly
how I went. I missed it like six inches. It
was what I think, I think what I measured was
I missed it by like a six inch mark. All Right,
I'm going a hundred. It's hard to hit six inches
and yeah, so I but the wall, the wall caught
me so fast forward like one second, and I realized
(03:41):
I'm not doing anything to help this car except that
I just have to hold it to the floor. So
I actually let go of the wheel, which is something
we never do. We crashed holding onto the wheels, steering.
We're hit a wall head on, We're still steering, We're
trying to save the car. When I let go, that's
when the fear came in because I've lost control. But
I trusted that if I just stayed in the throttle
(04:02):
of the wall would carry so when I did, the
g forces were over five g s. That's like what
a fighter pilot experiences. And in a deep bank curve,
my arms just went straight to the right. I had
no control, my visions blurry. I'm hitting the wall. It's
the longest wreck of my career. I've never wrecked for
that long before. It's usually tense of a second, hundreds
(04:23):
of a second impact. This was several seconds. And the
first thing I saw when I came out on either
side was a car in front of me. I ran
into or ran in the back of the six car
Brad Kozlowski and I looked over and and I saw
the eleven who I knew we had to beat for points. So,
like you said, that realization of I did that. That
was right then, but my brain couldn't comprehend. I couldn't
(04:44):
comprehend that it worked. I just I knew we did it.
Somebody had to tell me for sure that happened. Then
when they showed me the video. It doesn't look real.
But it doesn't look real. It doesn't. It looks fake.
But I that looked fake. I did that. That real
is sation is that I did something so out there
and outlandish that it doesn't look real that you can't
(05:06):
even do it again. We don't even want see nobody
trying to do it. No, we're done. We're done. It
was great, but no, it was a mic drop. It
certainly was a mic drop. What an amazing defeat that was.

keep widen and you're like, oh my goodness, these tires
are really sticking to the Yeah, it's yeah, you're soaking wet.

When you take this suit off, you're like, oh my goodness,
I mean drenched in sweat. And it was on like
five laps. Bro. He did this and hit the wall
to get the wind like like the to see the
way he did it was pretty It's pretty phenomenal. Like
you you created a wreck for yourself, rode the wall

to get in position to basically to to win the point.
He was close enough to get the points that he needed.
That's that's fire Man called that joint the hell melon,

at the end of the day. I don't think Joe
is really too worried about how much money he's gonna make,
because he's already making a tremendous amount. But it'll work
out for itself. It'll always work out. I think Joe
knows what he wants and how he wants to set

up his contract to keep some of his weapons around him,
and I think that's the biggest part for him. I've
never been one to talk about somebody else's contract and
how it applied to somebody else's contract, but again, these
young boys is different, and I mean they handle things
a little bit differently. Maybe it is the right way.
Maybe maybe your teammate, maybe the guy that makes it
(12:09):
so that you can make the money you're gonna make,
should have an idea of what you're thinking and how
you're gonna move. I mean that that relationship between your
your best weapon and yourself should I guess should be strong.
What what would y'all take away from what Jamar Chase
had to say. I look at it like him and
Joe m there's no way they ain't talk about this
(12:30):
prior and because you really it's like an underrented real
We we're not talking about somebody else's contracting what they
want and what they would take and wouldn't take. But
when you say a discount, um, what kind of discounts
you talking about? Like like, if you're trying to give me, uh,
(12:54):
twenty dollars and you want to give me eighteen, I'll
take that two dollar discount. You know, it's so depends
on the type of discount. Regard that if that Joe
Burrow is making a lot of money million and it's
two million, are you okay with that discount? Absolutely not? Now, okay,
the type of contract that Joe Burrow is going to
(13:15):
demand is going to be upwards of fifty plus million
a year. So if you're Joe bro absolutely no question
you think they can afford that, and sin, see can
you afford it? If that's what he's gonna get, you're
gonna find a way to afford it. And so how
(13:36):
much guaranteed? That's guaranteed money per year? So I'm gonna
say with Joe, if you if he signs a five
year deal, he will sign. I'll say with the five
years would probably be an extension obviously, so to be
a six year deal technically, but a five year extension.
So I'd say five years million m Let's let's say
(14:01):
five years. He probably could get three hundred million. He'd
probably settled for two hundred Nah, gotta be at least
two d fifty millions. So that put him right at
fifty million a year. Now if you go long term,
(14:22):
and probably half of that would be guaranteed, at least
half of it. But the Bengals, this is one thing
about the Cincinnati Bengals. If you're a really good player
and you're coming up on your second contract, for the
most part, they keep you, especially the quarterback and who
they perceive as their best receiver. I believe they need
to be proactive and sign te Higgins right now. That's
(14:44):
what I would do. Um. But yeah, if he does
take a haircut, it would be a trim, not a
full fledge. I'm cutting on my hair, just a little trim,
give me a little. Joe Burrow is a lifer. He's
never leaving Cincinnati. From organizational standpoint, if you let this
man get out the door, you you just shouldn't be
(15:07):
in the business anymore. Just playing and simple. So when
you're talking about contracts and moving forward with him, there's
two things that stand out to me are Colin Murray
and Deshaun Wasson. And he's going to be way north
of what those guys are making. And absolutely man, this man,
(15:32):
that man, he will be way north of what Deshaun
Watson is making and what Colin Murray is making and
what ever no he will he will be making. He
will be making way more than that and way north
(15:54):
for me to comprehend, make way more than Deshaun. That's
that's great. He's going to be made more than that,
is he not he? That's why I just asked, not
prove he has so So with that being said, him
and Jamar Chase that a relationship obviously because those guys
play together l s U. There's nowhere that Joe Burrow
(16:16):
is going to go moving forward. Jamaar Chase, Tyler Bird
and te Higgins where and Joe Mixing where he's going
to have better weapons on the outside to for him
to become what we he's Patricking, Holmes Ish and Joe Burrow.
That's it and those guys going forward. He may take
(16:41):
a he may take a home he may take a
home team discount, but they are They're always around that
destructure to contract. You don't have to give it to
him in salary. You can give it to him in
roster bonus, signing bonus, or whatever the case may be.
But they will find a way to keep him in Cincinnati.
There's old way that Joe Burrow is leaving his organization.
(17:03):
He's a lifer going anywhere. Does Joe Burrow make it
a point to say we we gotta keep teeingwhere he
could he could walk upstairs as a quarterback for this
franchise and say, you know what, I want my three
guys around me. These guys are not going nowhere and
(17:25):
that is the leverage and the power that these quarterbacks
and these elite quarterbacks and this business have. They can
go upstairs and talk to the owners in the organization,
the gym's you know what, I want these guys around me.
I'm staying keep everything intact because the ultimate goal is
to win the championship, and they are right on the
cusp of being that team because they're so young and
(17:49):
they have phenomenal talent on that offense. Why would you
want to break that up or separator if you're owner
or the GM. Joe Burrows not leaving trust. Some some
people would say, why would Joe Burrow take any type
of a discount? And and he doesn't. That's it. That's
(18:09):
and and and and again. Is it up to Joe
Burrow to be sensible and contract approach. I mean, we're
looking at what's taking place. Let's just use Lamar Jackson
as as an example. All right, Lamar Jackson has an
idea of the number he would like to have. Baltimore
has an idea of the number that they would like
to award him or pay him whatever, however you want
(18:31):
to look at it. And it's not close. Now everybody
is stating that it's because he wants a fully guaranteed contract.
You just mentioned creative ways in terms of getting him
the money through through bonuses and different things like that.
Is this a fully guaranteed contract that Joe Burrow gets
and it wouldn't. It's it's not even a conversation. Would
(18:55):
you give somebody go ahead? Plex would you say no?
Because when you give somebody a fully guaranteed contract, do
you know what that team and that owner has to
do with that money they got put it in that scrow.
That's why would never happened with Cincinnati. You gotta put
the entire contract. They got the money in Cleveland. Mean, yeah,
it's a different She's not in Cleveland, he's in sense
(19:15):
different ownership. I'm just saying that. That is the truth
of the matter is is if you fully guarantee the learners,
that whole got to put that money in the whole
entire check. So if it's three hundred million, money goes in,
three hundred million dollars has to be in scrow for
you to be able to do that. And so that's
why what Joe, that's not gonna happen as Joe. Do
(19:37):
you feel as though Joe is sensible enough to Is
he sensible enough to do that? And I would guess
I would offer the question, is Baltimore able to put
that type of money into a bread Bashatti Bashati? He
got paper here? Do you think that it would make
sense to do that? I know, I just threw in
(19:57):
Lamar Jackson too, like you know, but or more, they
offered Lamar the second most guaranteed money in the history
of the league. So wherever that lands between the Shawn
Watson and I believe it's Russell Wilson or College. Um,
I was told they offered them get more than all
of them. Yeah, but it's not going to be fully
(20:18):
guaranteed because of that money having to go and ask
grow that. That's the thing. Now, this is a question, Um,
we haven't talked about or discuss is as we're talking
about contracts, when will we see that quarterback that says,
you know what, I want to top my contract to
a percent of a salary cap so that I'm never underpaid.

I want to make sure that I'm getting the X
amount each and every year. Will and now, well, which
team will go down now that path of doing that
and piss everybody off like the Browns did with Shaun
Watson giving him a fully guaranteed contract. It's a great question,
and you know what, we won't answer that today. But

what we will do, it's tabled that for another time
and get an update from our man, the Goat himself. Indeed,
