Speaker 1 (00:01):
You don't listening to Fox Sports Radio Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
You just heard Monty say it. Tickets punched to the
Big Dance, including Drake. I think that's Drake's first win
of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
I was. I was about to comment on that as well. Dan,
good job job.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
I'm stepping up better, better, better, muzzle. It'll be still
a month later in all of our heads. Oh it's
not going anywhere, no time. I'm going to the kitchen
or my wife's like, shut up, shut up. This the
whole conversation. TikTok seeing pre Stewart for lent.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Have you seen this? I know, Dan, I knew it
was over when they did it on when Will Ferrell
and the I can't forget the woman's comedic name, but
they sang a song about it.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
I was like, Okay, this is over, Yeah, this is
over all right, he has carry out, John dan Byer.
We are broadcasting live from the tirec dot Com studios

buying should be. Honestly, Carrie maybe two months ago we
thought Sons Mavericks. Yes, sign me up for an early
(01:03):
March showdown. You're Mavericks right now in a game that well,
Texas and South Carolina are over in the SEC tournament
for women's USC and UCLA is going on right now,
there's other action mav Sons.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Yeah, just not the billding that you would have hoped. Man,
they should have just changed this game. They should have
flexed it and put another team in there, because I
don't even want to see it. I'm a Maverick fan
through and through, ladies and gentlemen, and I don't want
to see it either. It is pure disappointment from both sides.
So I mean, obviously the Sons there, I don't know
what happened there. I mean, they got three guys that
(01:37):
were you know they when they team together, you know,
possibly three Hall of famers. Now Bradley Beal has kind
of tailed off, but I mean you look at that
team and think they're going to be right in the
thick of things. And obviously Dallas with all the trades
and the injuries, they're just you can't even really watch
them now.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
So Kyrie goes down this week and there's a point
leading up to, especially from the news that we found
out today of how long Lebron's going to be out
with his groin injury. But Kyrie goes down with that
knee injury. It is no secret that Carrie Roads is
a Mavericks fan, and that's why we're talking about this.
Just they're losing at home to the Phoenix Suns. There's
a lot of talk Anthony Davis isn't going to play
another game this season. But when Kyrie goes down, oh man, yeah,
(02:16):
what was it?
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Like?
Speaker 1 (02:17):
It was that. I mean, this man is what let's
talk about. From a villain to a hero type of arc.
Kyrie has had that in Dallas, so you see his
maturity in situations and being around his teammates and everybody
really giving him the praise that was well deserved at
this point because all the vitriol he received prior to that,
Like it was almost this too good to be true
(02:40):
story that was happening in front of our eyes. And
then obviously the universe says, no, it's not too good
to be true. We're gonna take him away from you
and make him have to reinvent himself again. But when
you look at that team and what he was doing
and how he was playing. He's playing an All NBA level.
He was keeping them afloat. They were right in the mix.
They were two games out from the fork position, and
then even with all the chaos around them, and then
(03:02):
he goes down. I literally just did that. I just gasp.
I turned the channel. I didn't even want to know
the results of what the injury was because it didn't
matter if it was season ending. It was going to
show him the Mavericks.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
Right, And honestly, whether Lucas on the team or not,
it dooms the Maverick.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
It dooms the Maverick.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
So if they don't make that trade and Luca's there,
they don't have enough horses to get through the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
No, just doesn't.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
And I think that's I think that's fair when we
have this conversation, because when I see the injury and
I see him being helped off shooting the free throws,
you know, reading lips and what he's saying, there's the
personal aspect that you feel bad for. But then I
take a step back and you're like, yeah, this is
(03:46):
why you don't do the trade. We're here a month later,
still singing Kendrick Lamar at the Super Bowl and a
month later, I'm still sitting here of this is why
you don't do that trade. And there's another level to it,
of and it's on the Lakers and lucaside of things.
Because we've talked about Nico Harrison, talked about Anthony Davis,
(04:07):
We've talked about all of this. Now here's an opportunity
for the Lakers and Luca without Lebron James, Yeah, to
show their worth and Carrie correct me if I'm wrong.
It hadn't been the turnstile that I thought it would be,
but I felt when Luca was in Dallas, we felt like,
if you're going to want to go and play with
a superstar, Luca would be the guy to go and
(04:30):
play with. It's tough to figure out what superstars you
want to team up with in the NBA, and still
a question on how much it actually works in the NBA,
but if you wanted to go, you felt man Luca
and Dallas would be a nice spot. Mark Cuban's a
good owner there. I don't know if it happened as
much as they thought they would have, but now when
you put Luca on the Lakers, and you think of
(04:52):
them host Lebron James, which is going to be sooner
rather than later. Like this is what's so intriguing, what
happens with Luca and the Lakers over the next week
or two without Lebron. I don't think that they need
to rush Lebron back. I think you get a glimpse
of what the future can be. And what makes it
even more infuriating if you're not a Lakers fan, if
you're a fan of the twenty nine other teams in
(05:14):
the NBA, is that turnstile that I thought was going
to happen with the Mavericks or at least players wanting
to go there and getting in line to go and
play in Dallas. I think it's going to be even
longer with the Lakers because of the cachet of being
a Laker, and then you're not going to have the
cloud of Lebron as much. Just to me, it just
keeps on getting worse and worse. The trade and every
(05:35):
single domino that falls has just not fallen in the
way of the Dallas Mavericks at all. And now Lucas
got an opportunity to show what life's going to be
like without Lebron for the next couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
A great point, and I don't know what that answer is.
Luca is special. There was moments in his career early
on when superstars didn't want to play with him because
of the style of play that he played. He had
to make every play right early on in his career.
Sure Kyrie came and he was able to kind of,
I guess, defer to someone or feel that somebody was
(06:07):
on the level that he could defer to right. And
so that started to work out and they became brothers
and really tight, and it looked really good. It's gonna
take somebody like that. I don't think it's going to
be another young superstar team with him, but it's the
right and mature type of superstar that can team with
him because he is similar to Lebron and the way
he plays right. And we talked about this before. Lebron's gravity,
(06:29):
his gravitas sometimes scares other players away because they want
they won't get the credits. It will be Lebron, it
will be Luca, and so it will take a type
of player, type of superstar too fit in. So I
think it's still up to see. I think with la
it's a better situation than Dallas because of La.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
It's not for everybody. Yes, I think that's the point
that you're making. And the other point of this is
with Lebron, everything else comes with it. To your point,
Luca was just probably and saying this just in a phrase,
young and dumb. Just a young player, didn't know what
the league was like, didn't so he comes in as
the star player.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
It's his.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
Now, you've been in the league long enough you kind
of know it's and I know that there's still is
use Brian Windhorst ripping Luke in the NBA Finals for complaining.
Understand all of that, but you would hope that there's
progression and then that leads to what could be for
the future of the Lakers. That's just that's the part
for me is you know last night's heck, last night's
contest in Boston great energy, was great and I've I've
(07:32):
ripped I've ripped the Celtics brand because I feel that
it's it's not as big as it once was. But
that was that was good TV last night. That was
a good spectacle. Even when Boston is the dominating third quarter,
Lakers figure out a way to try to get back
in it, and in the end Boston ends up winning.
But that's the sort of stuff. So that's that's good TV,
and it's it's a good product. But I still cannot
(07:55):
get away just from the trade and where it is.
And now I think with Lebronzi injury one to two weeks,
what's what's the point, Like, you're up there in the
second seat, right now, take it easy as much as
you can, maybe early April, come back, turn it on,
Let's go to the playoffs. That's what I think would
(08:15):
be the best course of action for the Lakers. Oh,
one hundred percent.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
Right, We're we're gonna get We're gonna get a window
of what We're gonna have a chance to look into
the window and see what this team can be without
Lebron for a couple of couple of games, right, And
I think for Luca it's gonna bowl well with him
to get you know, the real chemistry and the way that,
like you said, how it's gonna look when he is
gone post Lebron. But Luca got to get Luca has
(08:38):
to get healthy. Did you watch that game last night?
Some of it he was he was laboring the whole game,
and that's kind of what Dallas sticking point has been
about getting, you know, moving on from him, right, and
obviously you move on to Anthony Davis, who's the same,
I mean, who's injury prone. So it doesn't make sense.
But what the bad part of Luca and what we
were talking about last year even in the finals, showed
(09:00):
up again in this game. Jalen Brown dogged Luca in
that game. And it's funny because if you look at
it esthetically, it looked it looks that way. He probably
still had thirty points Luca. Yeah, and so it's just crazy.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
Yeah, offensively, Luca had his his time. Defensively, I'm just
watching Jason Tamis stick one in his face.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
Everybody, Dan, everybody who had a chance to go one
on one with Luca, they took that chance.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
And and we're gonna talk about we're gonna talk about
the big trade in the the NFL that happened a
few days ago. I looked at the Lakers run that
they had on in this you know, like being in
Minnesota team is worthwhile. Losing in Boston is no shame. Yes,
you know, so, like you hate to say it, but
you almost expect to lose in Boston. If the LA
would have won that game, would have been more surprised,
(09:46):
But you know, it wasn't. It wasn't a who's who.
But there was enough there the win in Denver that
they had during that streak to show you that there's
something there. But you do wonder when you start to
play playoff type of basketball. I feel Boston got up
for that game. You also had a string where they
had guys sitting out a couple of games, and you
(10:06):
had the Peyton pritcher Derek White forty forty at forty
forty Club, right, So yeah, so there was so there
was a lot that that ended up playing into last
night's game. But now we see life without Lebron and
again how much that trade comes to fruition And what
you know.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
About the forty forty club, You know I was running
through that time.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
Are you sure? What was it like?
Speaker 2 (10:27):
This is this is the stuff that people want to hear.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
What the forty forty Club? That was my stomping ground
After games. I would go there to watch the other
games and eat good food and rub elbows with jay Z.
You know that type of thing. It was a real thing,
and that was no that's pre social media. So it
was real fun.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
Oh, I'm sure, I'm sure it was. That wouldn't seem
like a place where you'd put your a place where
they'd make you put your phone away or like put
it in, you know, you go to a comedy club
and you have to put it in like those magnetic
lock carrier things. That would be That's what I feel
that you would get at the forty forty Club, Dan.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
We didn't even need to They didn't have to tell
us we were so like here. It was just a
different times.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
There seems to be an unspoken maybe an unspoken bond
where everybody knows that they don't want any of this
on camera. Yes, because there's only the select certain people
are getting through, right.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
That's the part. Yes. So I mean you're if you're
in there in the places that we were, you know,
there's there's different levels you're not you're not gonna have
your phone out recording.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
For someone who really hasn't gone to a party in
thirty years, I feel my understanding is much for Guy
along than than maybe other other people. I saw you, Dan,
I saw you in the one time these carrier roads,
the forty forty Club that I've been to was forty
boneless forty bone in. That was the last forty to
forty club that I've joined.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Here on Fox Sports Radio, we are live from the
tire dot Com studios. He is carry Roads. I'm Dan
by our Chris Profetzer, technical producer, executive producer Shayngard.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
How was that?
Speaker 2 (11:54):
Was that close?
Speaker 5 (11:56):
You're getting better every week?
Speaker 1 (11:57):
All right?
Speaker 2 (11:57):
And Manci Bolanos is at the news desk, say is
our executive producer. I'm trying. My wife is Armenian. So
there's a bit of a Middle East that I that
I have tried to. Yes, I just have not put
it into full work.
Speaker 6 (12:12):
I should let Dan try out my actual last name.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
What's that?
Speaker 6 (12:16):
I should let you try out sometime my real last name.
Oh that.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Drop the bomb on that?
Speaker 2 (12:24):
The bomb on that, Chris, I I thought that I
Or do you have like a did you have a
couple of different radio names?
Speaker 6 (12:30):
This is this is my rate. It prefets my mother's
maiden names. See it's my radio name. I'm not giving
out the real one.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
The does the real one start with uh an L?
Speaker 6 (12:39):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Okay, all right, yeah, so I know what it is. Okay,
absolutely no, I do, I do not and say I
would not try your last name either. Just so you
know we're all good, we're solid.
Speaker 6 (12:48):
I'm gonna write I'm gonna come in and write it
down and let's see your your best crack.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Well, I'll tell you.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
I'll say this that you know Manti loves to flex
when there are you know, names that she can take
uh hispanic tongue.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
And roll it.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
Yes, it a little better than else.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
Once, once some Armenians break through in professional sports, look out,
because that's going to be my domain. I'm gonna be
be able to figure it out. Life is trying to
you know, it'll be fat times with Dan Bayer to
put stories in with Martin Maldonado, just to say, Martine,
yes you can go over four in a spring training
(13:30):
game and you'd be like in Cactus Leak Maldonado.
Speaker 7 (13:36):
But yes, no, but yes.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Nobody, yes, any any opportunity to flex there it is
there was.
Speaker 6 (13:43):
More Italians playing sports.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
Yeah, would be you know, perfect right in the mix.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
All right, Manzi is going to go up in thirty
minutes with According to Manci, he's carried oads.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
I'm Dan Bayer.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
The crew is here Lebron James in the news for
many more reasons outside of his groin injury. He went
face to face with Stephen A.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
Smith.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
Everything that's wrong about that we talk about next year
on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Miles Garrett gets paid? Is that what it was all about?
Speaker 1 (14:23):
Who?
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Moncey Blanios will have details coming up at the bottom
of the hour, and all the Browns keep their disgruntled
defensive end. Is that a sham? Was that just a
negotiation of Miles Garrett's part. No, I believe he wanted
to get out. But when that amount of money, when
they build a wall of hundreds around you so you
(14:45):
can't leave, Yeah, it's a it's a real prison. It's
a real prison, for sure.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
No.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
I mean, seeing those numbers, I would have I would
have been okay with losing a little bit as well.
I mean I would have been competitive obviously and compete
it to the end and try to get every win.
But if we were six and eleven at the end
of the year, six and twelve whatever, I'd have been
fine early on, you know what I mean, He's still young.
(15:11):
And that's the funny thing about mouth Garrett. He seems
like he's been there for a long time.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
Yeah, he's young. You gotta get his money, so can't
faulton Montie. A lot of the details of a little
bit more on that. Do want to bring up the
story that transpired on late Thursday into Friday, the confrontation
which I don't know if this was staged.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
Did you see this video of.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
Someone in the stands filming Lebron confronting stephen A of course,
and then Lebron looking back directly at that camera. Make
sure you're filming this which was twenty rows away, like
this is.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
This is Dan? You know how I feel about Lebron
and his Helio sint Yeah, sure, go ahead and tell
us again. That's all it is. That's all it is.
This guy is. It's all like worried about the attention
and worrying about being right and everything in it's control
that it just rubs me the wrong way all the time.
Nothing about him is authentic in the sense of basketball. Now,
(16:12):
I don't know. I'm outside of it well enough to
say that, but when it comes to basketball, everything is controlled,
everything is contrived, and if his message isn't the message
that's domineering the conversation. He does not put up with
it at all. And when you talk about it being
something that was stage, he literally looked at the camera
to make sure, if maybe more to make sure the
(16:36):
guy's rolling, make sure you get this. I mean it's
the fourth quarter of a game with the Knicks. He
knows everybody's watching. This is the ample time. This is
my moment to get that stephen A right now, That's
what happened. He knows stephen A is not going to
go back at him in that situation either. So if
he really wanted any sort of real resolution, he could
have talked to him outside of the camera and had
a meet up or whatever to.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
Have this man and man moment. It just it's all controled. Yes,
perfect word, Carrie says. Everything with Lebron is contrived. I
say it's an enormous double standard. I'll tell you why
after we hear what stephen A. Smith had to say
on ESPN about Lebron's confrontation of him Thursday night in La.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
Plaier.
Speaker 8 (17:16):
Confronting me that was a parent, that was a father,
And I can't sit here and be angry or feel
slighted by Lebron James in any way in that regard.
By all accounts, he's obviously a wonderful family man and
a wonderful father kids very very deeply about his son,
and based on some of the comments that he had heard,
(17:37):
or shall I say I think he thought he heard,
he clearly took exception to some of the things that
he heard me say, and he confronted me about it.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
Now, I am sure there have been things said about
Brownie James, not by Stephen A.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
Smith.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
I've been a hundred times worse. Yes, yeah, they're like
some ultimate cheap shots being taken. But here at Fox
Sports Radio, we have our own example of Lebron firing
back at someone over their criticisms of Bronny James, and
that is Doug Gottlieb, coach of the Green Bay Fight
(18:12):
in Phoenix. Doug's team won four games this year, and
at one point in the season they were on a
twenty one game losing streak, had just two wins, and
Lebron took the opportunity to quote retweet a post from
a college basketball page mocking Doug's record. Really, Yes, you
(18:35):
didn't hear about this? This is huge. Yes, Lebron went
out and mocked Doug. Monzie and I were in and
the tweet was something about not given, you know, should
be earned with It was a quote retweet of Doug's
(18:55):
record and the losing streak that they were on. And
there were about twenty three laugh emojis and about three
you know, poop emojis.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
Can I say that?
Speaker 2 (19:06):
I think I could say that if we're talking emojis.
That's that's what it was. But this is this is
the point. Why do you go up to stephen A
and be mister tough guy? But when Doug said the
same thing, and Doug's got it on record, Doug has
not shot away from it. He called Bronni a make
a wish kid. He said Bronni wouldn't play and start
(19:28):
on his Green Bay team, like he has said things
said Lebron's a bad parent. But in that in that
wow for being like a basketball dad. And I feel
like Lebron's being like a little league parent in dealing
with this, Like at some point Bronnie is an adult. Yes,
Like there's there's things that you have done and opened
up for him. But there's also the point of, Okay,
(19:48):
if you've put him into that you know arena, you
put him into that rodeo, this is now You've got
to fight for yourself. You got to figure out a
way to do it. But for some reason, Lebron takes
the I'm gonna a mock Doug for his performance, and
Doug's team played better at the end of the year,
they picked up a couple of wins. In fact, the
day that he did it, Doug actually had won the
(20:09):
day prior, so it had ended the streak. And but
it was this whole other hubbablo. But it's just the
point of I'm gonna go and do this for the
camera in front of Stephens a Smith with a stern
look on my face. But yet I'm gonna ha ha,
look at you, haha, look at you With Doug. That's
a complete contradiction that if someone was saying something about
(20:31):
your child, I think you would be mad no matter what. Yeah,
you wouldn't figure out different ways to pick on someone.
He should have been just as mad at Doug as
he was at steven A for what he said, but
instead he chose to mock Doug and then he chose
to be a tough guy with Steven A with the
secret camera recording the conversation. So to your point about
(20:52):
it being contrived, he is so contrived and they're so
like talking out of both sides of your mouth, having
your cake and eating it too, whatever phrase and cliche
you want to lose, that's what it is with Lebron James.
He doesn't care. Guess what people are stephen A's talking
about Lebron. Now, guess what they're talking about him talking
to Lebron. Yeah, Like, this is the whole deal. And
(21:14):
if it's truly truly bothering you, at some point you
allowed your kid to.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Be in the league.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
You only wanted him to go to two of thirty
teams in the NBA. And whether he's averaging twenty one
points a game in the G League, like he has
been so far in the regular season, then let that
change the narrative. You've put him in this spot. You
don't need to protect him anymore. It's not little league. Yeah,
stephen A.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
And all the stuff that we've seen on the record
with stephen A talking about Bronni he always prefaces that
And I'm sure, it's because of the pressure he feels from,
you know, stepping on Lebron's tolls. Is even if he
says something negative about Lebron, he says something positive first
or after to kind of make sure that's kind of
even out and weighted. So that's I know that for
(21:57):
a fact. I've seen it plenty of times. So the
fact that he's a attacking him solely and really trying
to make a point knowing that again we'll talk about contrived.
The New York Knicks is stephen A's team. Like everything
about that is like the perfect storm for my moment,
the Lebron moment to go out and let me take
let me take all ownership of anything that stephen A
(22:19):
has right now and let me be let me be
a bully in a situation that's been a bully because
you know, stephen as not going to do anything in
that moment.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Sure, and now I would say, Lebron's not going to
do this on a Tuesday night when the Jazz are
in town and it's not on TNT. Now what else
is stephen A's not going to be at that game.
But this's allowed the opportunity for him to say what
he needed to say with both media markets fully watching
and having their eyes on that game, and we knew
(22:47):
that steven A then would take to the airwaves and
say what he did.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
So stephen A.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
Saying that Lebron is talking like a father.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
I get that.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
I actually got it with Doug's scenario like I would
be if someone was talking, you know, stuff about my
child as an athlete, I would want to stand up
and I would want to defend him. But what makes
it so, in your perfect term, contrived, is that there's
different reactions to different people and what they're saying, and
it's all over. Lebron wanted laughs and he wanted everybody
(23:17):
on his side on Twitter. This was sent for a
viral message to go on social media and the air
on ESPN. That's in that That's what makes it even
more ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
That's it. I mean what you just said, I mean,
if it's somebody's talking about my kid, I'm going to
stand up as well. It's just that's not the place
for it. And he knows that.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
Sure, I met your parents, wonderful people.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (23:39):
You know.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
If anybody said, you know what, carry Roads just guessed
what he blew That coverage sure they would be like,
you know, yes, but.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
You know what they're not doing.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
They're not going over to the New York Daily newswriter
and saying like, hey, once you lay off my son.
Your son's been in the league for three years. I
don't care. It's my son.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
Like at some point too, with Lebron, you got to
cut You brought him into this league.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
You're the reason that he brought in.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
You can't have it both ways, where now he's being
treated like a professional and now he's not like there's yeah, yeah,
complete contradiction. He's carrier outs. I'm Dan Byer. Let's go
to the news desk Monty Belangiels giving us the latest
of what's happening on this Sunday.
Speaker 7 (24:15):
Yes, jis jis oh Lebron.
Speaker 9 (24:19):
What I loved about that was that it was so
scripted that the angle of the camera was purposely so
you saw him and nothing of steven A. So we
don't even know what steven A said or did, how
he reacted, right, We have no idea, right, And so
is so funny to me that of course that's the
angle we want the camera just seeing Lebron.
Speaker 7 (24:41):
Well, he's probably not going to play for a couple
of weeks.
Speaker 10 (24:44):
Apparently.
Speaker 9 (24:45):
ESPN reports that because of that strange left growing that
he suffered in last night's lost to the Celtics, he's probably.
Speaker 7 (24:52):
Gonna miss one to two weeks. One game going on
in the NBA.
Speaker 9 (24:56):
Listen, Carrie, your Mavericks could use you right now.
Speaker 10 (25:00):
Oh, I think they don't have players.
Speaker 9 (25:01):
Yes, literally, I think there's seven available players right now
because two of them collided and got.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
Hurt in this game.
Speaker 7 (25:07):
In this game, in.
Speaker 9 (25:08):
This game, I don't I feel like they could use
you right now on the bench.
Speaker 7 (25:13):
Uh so maybe suit up. I know you played in
college and suit up.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
I'm forty eight.
Speaker 10 (25:22):
They need him.
Speaker 7 (25:23):
He's a fan of the team.
Speaker 9 (25:25):
They are losing not too much, surprisingly to the Suns.
One thirteen to one oh two is a score with
about five minutes to go in Dallas, OKAC has won
seven in a row. They top the Nuggets one twenty
seven to one oh three. Shay Gil just Alexander forty
points is eleventh forty point game this season. In men's
college hoops, some schools have punched their ticket to the
(25:46):
Big Dance, like High Point out of North Carolina for
the first time going to the NCAA Tournament.
Speaker 7 (25:52):
The first time ever.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
It's a high point in their progress.
Speaker 9 (25:56):
They're very good, but buch very very exciting. The first
time ever, Lipscomb won the A Sun Conference. They're headed
to the Big Dance, and so is Drake. For a
third straight year, they're headed to the NCAA Tournament. Now
on the lady side, South Carolina has won their ninth
SEC title after defeating Texas sixty four to forty five.
Right now at halftime, USC is up against UCLA forty
(26:18):
five to thirty five.
Speaker 7 (26:18):
In the Big Ten Final. Juju Watkins eighteen points.
Speaker 9 (26:22):
In the NFL Miles Garrett, well, you guys said it.
When somebody's presenting you one hundred and one hundred and
twenty million dollars guaranteed, you're going to stay there. So
he has agreed on an extension with the Browns four years,
one hundred and sixty million, one hundred and twenty three
million guaranteed, making him the highest paid non quarterback in
NFL history. Aaron Jones is resigning with the Vikings on
(26:43):
a two year, twenty million dollar deal. The Bills released
eight time Pro Bowl pass rusher Von Miller to clear
salary cap space, but both parties are reportedly open to
him returning to the Bills, and linebacker Nick Bolton.
Speaker 7 (26:55):
Is resigning with the Chiefs on a three year, forty
five million dollar deal.
Speaker 9 (26:59):
At the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Russell Henley is now in
the lead at eleven under part overall.
Speaker 7 (27:05):
Colin Morricawa is one shot back to.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
You guys, and you talk about my parents being lovely parents. Yes,
they had me too early. They were not that considerate
if I played during this time. The money they're giving
out right now is just outrighty, completely outrageous.
Speaker 2 (27:21):
Passed Max Crosby's oh at deal. Yeah, it's this is
the part that I have a problem with. Okay, So
Max Krosby, it was thirty five point five mons you
just mentioned it's forty.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
Million for Garrett.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
Correct, So obviously you're gonna top Max Crosby. Yes, Now,
any edge rush like Trey Hendrickson's looking for a new deal,
you're not going to pass Miles Garrett, but you're probably
gonna try to get, you know, get passed where Max
Max Crosby is. The whole Miles Garrett thing that bothers
me is when he went to Radio Row at the
(27:57):
Super Bowl and.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
Carry.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
You may think it's leverage. I just I just think
it's insincere. He's naming teams. People are saying like, wouldn't
you like to go to Washington as they're just, oh,
I'd fitting great with them, Like it's it was all
it was all a ruse? Is that the phrase that's
that's Yeah, it was a joke. It was none of
(28:21):
it was real. It was just for them to meet
the price tag that he wanted. Now I think that
I don't want to say Miles Garrett is worth every penny,
especially for a Brons team that's going to be picking second. Overall,
it is an interesting dynamic. Yeah, I'm just more in
Miles Garrett's Like, I don't understand the drama that it
(28:44):
was when all it was was about money. Now does
he have to do all of this? Does he have
to sit there and say, yeah, they got fit in
great in Washington and they go, oh, they got a
great thing going on in Buffalo? Do you have to
say that to get forty million dollars? Because to me
it just sounds completely fake and dising jail when the
Browns haven't done anything. They haven't made one move except
(29:05):
for restructuring Deshaun Watson's contract. That makes you now say,
you know what, this team is better off next year
than they were this past year, do you.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
Think, because this is is interesting with the Browns, I
thought going into last year, obviously I thought they'd make
the playoffs. To be honest, they had a quarterback situation
that was awful with the Shaun Watson and so even
when he went out and James Winton came in, it
spocked the team and they were competitive and they could
win games. Do you really feel they're as bad as
(29:34):
you think they are, because that's my that's my mindset
right now. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
Go ahead, Their defense a couple of years ago, two
years ago was really good, yes, And obviously he's the
leader of that. And at one point the organization had
a great offensive line, but that's dwindled because of injuries.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
And other stuff.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
Joel Buttonio announced he's coming back next season, so he'll
be back.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
But then obviously the quarterback play.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
But yeah, I would I would agree and your assessment
that I did not look at the Browns as.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
The second worst team in National football right And so
that's what I'm That's why I'm a little like I'm
a little optimistic about the Brown No, they're not in
a good spot, but they're not far removed from having
a really, really good and competitive team, and so I
don't know if they're as bad off as people are
making them sing. So if they're able to bring back
(30:24):
their star Pass Russia, who is obviously the best player
on that team and can be a game wrecker, if
another big if if they can finally find somebody that's
steady at the QB position, will they be competitive? That's
my thing.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
I obviously Andrew Berry and Kevin Stefanski have been steadfast
and they've been asked about it since the trade request
about a month ago. Whatever it was, they weren't trading him,
they weren't looking to deal him, and obviously they stuck
to their guns in that point. Little did we know
on how much of the talks were actually going on
about a contract extension that would keep him in Cleveland.
(30:59):
And obviously you would want to do that, but there
wasn't much scuttle but about sides. You're getting close to
a deal, and now you get a record setting deal
again going past Max Crosby's deal. It doesn't seem like
a lot four and a half million dollars a year.
But it is, yeah, it is. It is big time.
Speaker 1 (31:15):
It's big time in the negotiation and that process anyway,
Like you know, being a player and being in that
situation there for me, so Miles Garrett is for me
in my mind, that would have been Ed Reed or
Troy Palmolul right as sure a safety. Yeah, and so
whatever that market was for them, I wanted that market
and I needed to know what that market was, and
I was going to get close to that or surpassed that.
(31:36):
So exactly what you're saying for Michael Parsons or somebody
like that, that's up right now. That is the barometer
and they're going to try to get as close to
that as possible. Sure, MICHAEH. Parsons isn't Miles Garrett? I agree?
Speaker 2 (31:49):
I agree, Yeah, he's carry Rod John Dampier. Be sure
to check out the Fox Sports Radio YouTube channel. There's

(32:30):
Monsi's feeling this. I can see it out of the
corner of my eye.
Speaker 4 (32:34):
What was that?
Speaker 2 (32:35):
Was that the roomba? What were you doing? What was
the what was the dance? Hell be a little bit.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
Yeah, that's what studios.
Speaker 2 (32:53):
You can find Carry Roads at Carry twenty five Roads.
You can find me at Dan Byer on Fox on
X or on Blue Sky at Dan Bayer. Stop for
recording to Manzi.
Speaker 3 (33:01):
Corin and now it's time for absolutely that's according to Mansi.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
I love it fonder at Manzy Bolanos as well. Let's
get right into it.
Speaker 7 (33:15):
According to Monsey.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
It's Joker's world and we're just living there.
Speaker 7 (33:19):
Okay, you guys, it's it's time we admit it.
Speaker 9 (33:22):
Nikola jokicch is the greatest basketball player.
Speaker 7 (33:26):
He's not the go He is the greatest basketball player.
Speaker 9 (33:29):
He is the most skilled from top to bottom. He
is the best player. I'm not saying that maybe if
he plays another ten years and wins a couple more championships,
that he could not be the goat.
Speaker 7 (33:38):
But he's not the goat. But he's the greatest basketball player.
It is unreal. And I'm not even just.
Speaker 9 (33:43):
Talking about that historic stat line that he just had
thirty twenty and twenty. No one's ever done that. He
also broke a record. Will Chamberlain had a record set
in nineteen sixty eight for the most assist by a center. Yeah,
he broke that also, Like, this guy is unreal, And
I feel like if you're teaching kids how to play basketball,
you can use Nicola Jokic to teach them all the things.
(34:04):
You want to learn how to box out great, grab
Nikola Jokic. You want to learn how to shoot the ball,
whether it's a three pointer or going in and using
fundamental basketball skills, use Nicola Jokic. You want to know
how to throw a perfect pass, use Nicola Jokic.
Speaker 7 (34:19):
He is the greatest basketball player. He's not the goat.
He is the greatest basketball player and it is unreal.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
I did thirty twenty twenty again at Bubblo wildwy was
learning twenty bony twenty Pretzel knots, so there are so you.
Speaker 7 (34:34):
Have your own record.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
I'm gonna say twenty little dip.
Speaker 11 (34:38):
Right.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
I was gonna say, cheese, Kurt, But I think you
get more than just twenty you did, it wouldn't have
been as impressive, not.
Speaker 9 (34:44):
As impressive, No, still not as impressive as Yokic.
Speaker 7 (34:47):
Like you guys, it's it's unreal. And when you watch him,
he doesn't.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
Even look like he's trying.
Speaker 9 (34:52):
He's even trying, and he's that good, greatest basketball player.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
But not the go there you go. According to Montsey,
the NBA needs to lay the hammer down.
Speaker 9 (35:01):
Yes you guys, tell me you're not tired of the
flopping Lebron James yesterday in his flop, the NBA needs
to suspend the player one game. When you flop like that,
the finds aren't doing anything and the flopping continues.
Speaker 7 (35:18):
Lebron, you should be so embarrassed by how you go
flying anytime someone breathes on you.
Speaker 9 (35:23):
And he's I'm using him as an example because of
what he did last night, But in reality, the fact
that I can easily look up flopping highlights in the
NBA is sad.
Speaker 7 (35:34):
It is so they all do it.
Speaker 9 (35:36):
It's not just him, They all do it, and it's
so annoying, especially because it's like everybody wants to watch
a good competitive game and when you go flying, it
pauses the game.
Speaker 7 (35:46):
You literally sat there.
Speaker 9 (35:47):
They all do it again, They all do It's not
just Lebron, and I feel like the only way that
this will stop is if the NBA actually, like.
Speaker 7 (35:54):
You know what, We're gonna suspend you a game for
acting a fool. Stop acting a fool.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
Okay, just the NBA wants their's stars, even on the court.
Speaker 7 (36:02):
Less, then maybe they'll stop floppy. Though, maybe they'll stop.
I just I hate it. And the fighting is not
doing anything.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
You know who gets on my nerves with it? Sight offensively?
Speaker 7 (36:14):
He does.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
He fled it way too much, too much.
Speaker 7 (36:17):
Luca, Luca does it. We've talked about this, like it's
just you guys.
Speaker 9 (36:20):
The stars are doing it, and it gets annoying.
Speaker 7 (36:23):
The fighting isn't doing anything. Suspend them fights, spend them
half a game? Is that good? You cannot play the
first half of the game.
Speaker 10 (36:30):
Half do something.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
Acting a fool, just like the targeting role in college football. Yeah,
but if you're gonna miss the first half of next
of your next.
Speaker 9 (36:39):
Game, something something, make it so that they just stop
doing it.
Speaker 7 (36:43):
I'm over it.
Speaker 12 (36:44):
According to Monsey, everything is Nico Harrison's fault.
Speaker 7 (36:49):
Guys, Everything is his fault. Ever since this.
Speaker 9 (36:52):
Trade, the world is upside down and it's all Nico's fault.
Speaker 7 (36:55):
The price of eggs, it's Nico's fault.
Speaker 9 (36:57):
That New York detective that is underscrety for being in
the music video Turky, that's his fault.
Speaker 7 (37:02):
Oh yeah, that's his fault. Bree was in traffic, that's
his fault. Okay, y'all.
Speaker 9 (37:06):
Like Dodgers Michael Dodgers pitcher micro Grove is off for
the season.
Speaker 7 (37:10):
He just had surgery. That's Nicgo Harrison's fault.
Speaker 1 (37:11):
John calledst that's out too. That's his fault. That is fault.
Speaker 7 (37:14):
That is his fault.
Speaker 9 (37:16):
I wasn't feeling very well this morning because I went
out like late last night.
Speaker 7 (37:19):
That was Nico Harrison's fault.
Speaker 9 (37:21):
Everything since that trade happened, everything is upside down, and
there's one person to blame.
Speaker 7 (37:26):
Nico Harrison.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
Now, I have no idea how often Monty goes out,
but I do know this is like the third straight
time where I've heard that she went out and then
was feeling it the next day. But yeah, that tells
you something.
Speaker 7 (37:39):
It's Nico Harrison's fault.
Speaker 2 (37:41):
That tells you that, you know what?
Speaker 1 (37:42):
What does it tell you? Dan? Maybe it's time to
hang him up.
Speaker 2 (37:46):
You know, it's time to.
Speaker 7 (37:47):
Re literally not hang him up?
Speaker 2 (37:50):
Man, when did you know?
Speaker 1 (37:52):
When? Did you know?
Speaker 4 (37:52):
Well?
Speaker 2 (37:53):
Every time I woke up the next morning, it was
a struggle that could be for a professional athlete or
it could be for nazi going out the night Pep.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
Yeah, my dance and pants are already hung up.
Speaker 6 (38:03):
So no am not hanging out.
Speaker 9 (38:06):
I am not retiring yet, Fellas, all right, everything in
the point Isngo Harrison's fault. That lady that was naked
on the Southwest flight Nico Harrison's fault.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
Oh yeah, that was bad. I'm glad to go too
on that one.
Speaker 7 (38:17):
Nigo Harrison's fault.
Speaker 2 (38:18):
I also think naked women on flight? Is there real
judgment on do you want this on your phone or not? Oh?
I mean the different angles that we saw is this
something that you want. You got to check this out.
But then you think, like, well, listen, go viral so
I can put this up on TikTok. There were a
lot of phones that were of.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
Course, Now what about that dinner though, like a dinner conversation,
you're trying to start the conversation. I saw this crazy
thing on this Southwest flight. They won't believe you gotta
pull out that. You gotta pull out the footage.
Speaker 7 (38:47):
Then that's true.
Speaker 9 (38:48):
You have to pull out the footage anyway, Nico Harrison's fault.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
Do you know what? Do you know what seats she
was in?
Speaker 2 (38:53):
I don't thirty six D?
Speaker 1 (38:55):
Was it thirty six D? I thought it was double d.
Speaker 13 (39:00):
Oh?
Speaker 9 (39:00):
Come on, okay, at least we're on.
Speaker 7 (39:04):
The same page.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
It's not even that propos because it was Southwest and
they're just all random.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
When did they start a.
Speaker 2 (39:10):
Signing seats in Southwest? To signing seats.
Speaker 7 (39:12):
That they said they're gonna do that this year and
they haven't done it. I just flew Southwest exciting.
Speaker 1 (39:16):
Oh man, oh man good.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
According to Monzy find her at Mancy Bolanos, she isn't
necessarily wrong. We're gonna get your thoughts on Nikola Jokich
and Shae Gilgess Alexander. But SGA did have the last
laugh today in a twenty four point thunder victory.
Speaker 1 (39:31):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (39:31):
They can put that bad boy on cruise control. Just
slide into April and just hope that nothing goes wrong exactly,
And I got chat back. He's getting back in the
fold too. That team's gonna be scary, obviously. He's carry Roads.
I'm Dan Byer. We are live from the tirek dot
com studios. Miles Garrett has his contract, Aaron Jones is
back with the Minnesota Vikings. And it's a new day
with the Las Vegas Raiders. But what in the world
(39:54):
with the Seattle Seahawks doing with Gino Smith. We're gonna
tell you next year on Fox Sports Sunday. New Year's
getting closer and closer, and we're talking about the new
league year in the National Football League. A lot of
moves taking place before the new league year begins on
March twelfth. Welcome in, as we're broadcasting live from the
Tirerec dot Com studios. Tierrec dot Com will help you
get there. An unmatched selection, fast free shipping. Free Road
(40:17):
has a protection and over ten thousand recommended stallers tirec
dot com the way tire buying should be. I feel
like I'm a little behind the eight ball, or a
little not beyond the eight ball, actually just behind on
this because Friday you were in for the odd couple
when the news broke that the Seattle Seahawks were trading
Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders. Yes, a surprise
(40:38):
by many. Has your initial reaction changed after we've had
forty eight hours to digest this deal? No?
Speaker 1 (40:45):
I mean, obviously, I think for the Raiders it makes
sense in the entrum in the short, short term to
bring a guy in that's familiar with the head coach
Pete Carroll and obviously have the access to the likes
of Tom Brady there so to be able to actually
limit his turnovers and play smarter football. I think that
(41:08):
marriage and that that just that compilation of people in
that room would be a good win for for the
Raiders in the in the interim. But I know you're
a Seahawks fan, and I know I've been waiting to
hear your as soon as soon as it dropped that day,
I was like, Dan's either going through it right, now
or he's happy, and I really want to know what
he's feeling.
Speaker 2 (41:28):
So and I'm glad that you said what you said
because I feel that and.
Speaker 1 (41:33):
I'm with you.
Speaker 2 (41:34):
Every Sunday during the NFL season, we're in the late window.
The Seahawks play a majority of their games in that
late Sunday afternoon window. Sure there may be an East
Coast game, Sure there may be a Sunday Night or
a Monday night, but the Seahawks are on at least
eight or nine times, so it's not like we don't
talk about Geno Smith. And what I found funny was
(41:54):
all of the conversations on everybody saying what a great
move it was for the Raiders to bring in Geno's
which I don't disagree with. It's just where was this
love during the season when we were talking about Geno Smith,
or even just Geno Smith leading up to because there
was still the oh, that's just still Geno Smith. And
I think he's done enough over the last couple of
(42:15):
years to quiet that that audience down that he's more
than just a respectable quarterback. He's a darn good quarterback
in the National Football League, but he's also a guy
that threw fifteen interceptions, and I feel like that war
to those warts there at times were brought up when
(42:36):
people were talking about him as a Seahawk, but now
as a Raider. Great move by the Raid. Kudos to
Pete Carroll, Tom Brady, everybody in Las Vegas. And I'm
just like, well, what just changed except the uniform colors
because Gino Smith is still the same guy. So that
was surprising to me. I get it because they get
the player. There isn't as much talk about the Seahawks
(42:58):
and what they're doing, but it's been an eventful week
for the Seahawks and the fact that Tyler Lockett was released.
DK Metcalf has requested a trade and now you're getting
rid of your quarterback. And there is information and information
from Friday that seems to be updated. Bob Candatta of
the Seattle Times reported that Seattle's offer to Gino Smith,
(43:19):
at first it was reported thirty five to forty million dollars,
but that maybe Seattle did offer something closer to forty
to forty five million dollars, and Gino Smith's camp was
not happy with that, so much so that they may
not even have responded. So Seattle felt that there was Wow,
there was maybe no reason to keep him along. He
was entering the final year of his deal. And there
(43:43):
are two things with the Seahawks that I find interesting.
Number One, there's a group of the fan base that says,
what are you doing, John Schneider? What are you doing?
And honestly, John Schneider has used up all of his credits,
all of everything that he banked from the legion of
Boom and draft thing Bobby Wagner and Russell Wilson, It's
all been used up. I was a decade ago. That's
(44:05):
a long time ago. There's a while you can run
on that stuff and use that reserve fuel and cash
it in. Now is not the time. Pete Carroll's not
there anymore. So it's your show. So now it's up
to John Schneider to turn the Seahawks team around. And
there isn't a lot of faith and you can hear
it within the Seahawks fan base of saying, what are
you doing. We've just lost our star wide receiver who
(44:29):
wants out, We've just traded our quarterback to a team
for a third round pick. What in fact are you doing,
John Schneider? And I actually feel that what they did
is something that maybe other teams should do, is just
say no to the quarterback. Do what the Minnesota Vikings
did to Kirk Cousins. Guess what, You're not gonna be
(44:51):
our guy next year. We're gonna move on. We saw
in the twenty twenty three season moves that Minnesota made
the show that they weren't ready to commit to Kirk Cousins,
that he was likely going to be gone via free agency,
and voila, what happened. He's gone to Atlanta, and what
happened in the season, he's now benched in behind Michael
Pennock Junior. Are maybe looking for work? Yes, the Viking
(45:12):
said no. There are a lot of other teams that
are willing to say yes to quarterbacks. And I know
that the numbers here may seem negligible, and they may be.
If Seattle is offering forty to forty five and Gino
wants forty five million dollars a year, that to me
says that they're close enough. But at some point, Carrie,
don't you have to say no?
Speaker 1 (45:33):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (45:33):
And if you're talking about a thirty five year old
quarterback where you could get a third round pick and
maybe you get Sam Darnold a little bit cheaper, or
figure out a different way to go. I actually completely
get it from the Seattle side of things because of
where they are as a team is not where I
(45:54):
think some of the Seahawks fan base thinks they are.
You could say ten and seven and I've said that
ten when they're there. Only ten team, double digit win
team to not make the playoffs this year. Yeah, doesn't
mean they're a super Bowl contender. I actually like the move.
There's only gonna be there for so long, and he's
thirty five years old. You don't have to overpay him,
over pay him if he doesn't want to be there,
(46:15):
You train him out, you get a third round pick,
you get a younger quarterback for less.
Speaker 1 (46:19):
I'm totally fine with it. I'm very mature response from you, Dan.
I respect it, and I will say this about a
geno Smith. I think the fan fail around him going
to Vegas. It's obviously it's going to be in an
all time high at the moment with all the moves
they made. They bought in pe Carol, they brought in Brady. Obviously,
(46:39):
those two headlining names. You bring in an accompanying quarterback
to kind of Like I said, steady that ship and
just give them a little leeway to get better as
an organization makes perfect sense. Now, I didn't see this
coming from Seattle as far as getting rid of Gino Smith.
When you talk about the dollar amount and having contract
negotiations on the table didn't fit him as a player
(47:02):
on what he wanted, then it makes sense. So when
I hear all the noise outside of the immediacy of
the trade, then it's like, okay, it makes sense for
both sides. And I can see with you know McDonald
being there now with it's McDonald. McDonald been the head
of coach in Seattle and him won the defensive identity
and having a quarterback or a single caller in place
(47:22):
that's not going to turn the ball over. I'm sure
that's the emphasis of what he wants makes complete sense.
Speaker 2 (47:27):
Now that and I think that point is correct. Sam
Donald may not be that guy. You know, Aaron Rodgers
actually would be that guy to not turn the football
over if you wanted somebody like that, because Aaron Rodgers
protects the football fans in Seattle. And again, and I
say it that way not meant to be in a
(47:50):
way of a put down by any means. As I'm
a Seahawks fan, I think the majority of the story
here has been about the Raiders. Yes, and that's where
the conversation, and just from the Seattle point of thing,
they're sitting there saying we were a ten win team
that tied for the division lead, that could have made
the playoffs. But again my point is were you a
playoff team or did you make the playoffs? And I
(48:10):
said that when we would talk in the fall and
into the winter. The Seahawks may make the playoffs, but
they weren't a playoff team. And it may not have
been Gino Smith's fault at times. Gino Smith may have
been pressured in the interceptions because of how bad the
offensive line is. But you now have to trust John Schneider,
and you now have to trust Mike McDonald and the
(48:31):
vision that they have, and that the vision is building
inside out. I am all completely for it and figuring
out those other pieces elsewhere and freeing up and putting
your money into those assets. Now, the Seahawks fan may say,
but they've put money into their assets before and it
hasn't worked out. Maybe not. They haven't done great in
(48:51):
the draft. Charles Cross was maybe one of their hits
that they've had in the draft. But Abe Lucas, who
they thought was to steal a couple of years ago,
has been injured. They haven't been able to fortify the
middle of their offensive line really since Max Hunger was
traded to the Saints and the Jimmy Graham deal. Theft
that Creed Humphrey was a guy that they could have
looked at in the draft, they ended up not taking him.
(49:13):
He goes to Kansas City and has a great career.
There's no doubt, there's missus. But also don't be mistaken
that this team was a Super Bowl contender and that
they were just a few pieces away, because they were not.
The only playoff teams that they beat last year were
the Broncos in Week one. We were a completely different
team in bow Nick's first start than he was at
the end of the year. And then the Rams in
(49:33):
Week eighteen, and the Rams didn't even play their starters.
So when you're losing the playoff teams, when you're losing
the Green Bay and you're losing a Minnesota and you're
losing Detroit and you're losing those are all good teams.
But that also tells me you never went anywhere and
took a game from someone. You beat everybody that you
were better than. You beat the Cardinals, you beat the Jets,
you beat those teams. You went to San Francisco and
(49:54):
stole a game. They were a ten win team, but
they weren't a playoff caliber t or a super Bowl
caliber team. They're not tearing everything down. I just don't
think that the core of Geno Smith, DK, Metcalf and
then whatever they would sprinkle in would be enough to
make them a super Bowl contending team. So now's the
time to do it. And so it all makes total
sense to me. And you can only get a third
(50:16):
round pick for Gino Smith because he is going to
have to sign that contract with the Raiders. It's not
like either going to get a second or a first
round pick. So whatever that contract may be, which now
I would believe it would be north of forty five
million dollars to put him in that top ten and
average annual salary, I get it. It makes sense to me.
I'm not mad at it. I'm just curious to see
what their next step is.
Speaker 1 (50:36):
Yeah, I was going to ask you that I think
the next step is DK Metcalf right, and getting what's
going to be return on that.
Speaker 2 (50:44):
I scouts scouts scouts on her. I told Patrick, who
also choose for the Seahawks, in our hallway a week ago,
I said, if they get a third round pick, I
think that's all that we can ask for. And Josina
Anderson has said right now there is a team willing
to give a third round pick, but the Seahawks wanting
a first round pick for DK Metcalf is not happening.
Speaker 1 (51:06):
You're just shaking your head there.
Speaker 2 (51:08):
So then now you're just wondering at what point because
also DK Metcalf is going to want a new contract
and you're gonna have to pay him, So that comes
into the compensation.
Speaker 1 (51:16):
That you're going to get.
Speaker 2 (51:17):
So to the point of it may not seem it
may not seem splashy, it may not be a first
round pick, and it may not be a second round pick,
but you also have to take into account that you're
not paying that salary and you're not paying that future salary.
If they got a third round pick, I think that's
probably that's probably what you could expect. Anything more than
that I think would be gravy.
Speaker 1 (51:38):
Yeah, No, that seem now they're I mean, who's who's
who is the quarterback going to throw the ball to
on that team?
Speaker 2 (51:45):
Now, Jackson Smith and Jigma And now if you have enough,
if you have it opens things up. Yes, in the draft,
if you wanted, if you now got you know, two
or three third round picks, maybe there's one that you
can take. Maybe you address the quarterback position with a
second round pick, just depending on where those it opens
up more options. And by the way, I think that
(52:06):
you can just get checks Us with a Jigmo will
be their wide receiver for their top wide receiver. There
are other guys that you can I think find in
the league to fill that out.
Speaker 1 (52:14):
Yes, it's a weak free agency class when it comes
to receiver, so the draft will have to.
Speaker 2 (52:19):
Be the way he's carry roads, I'm Dan Byer. DK
metcalf a thirteen hundred yard season, the highest that he
ever had during his time in Seattle. So we're not
talking about seventeen hundred yards, talking about thirteen hundred yards,
double digit and touchdowns twice during his time with the Seahawks.
He is carrier roads. I'm Dan Byer. This is Fox
Sports Sunday. Let's ask our NFL Etcenter Adam Kaplin for
(52:41):
more on what's happening in Seattle, what's happening in Las Vegas,
and why the Browns and Miles Garrett are back together.
He's carry I'm Dan. That's next here on Fox Sports Radio. Oh,
I'm excited. He's carry Roads. I'm Dan Byer. CBS just
put a graphic up that we are six days, twenty
three hours and third nine minutes away from selection Sunday. Yes,
(53:05):
next week, at this time, brackets will be released.
Speaker 1 (53:07):
This is the only time I will go out with Monty.
She takes me, we go watch the games. She's so
fun to watch it with, So that will be the
only time she can hang anymore. He's Roads the opro.
I'm Dan Byer, Monty, I'm not. I'm not saying anything
about anything, but I don't know if.
Speaker 7 (53:26):
You're calling me old. If you're calling me.
Speaker 2 (53:28):
No, I would never I would never call you old.
Speaker 7 (53:30):
Ever.
Speaker 1 (53:33):
I just said I said I wasn't gonna say that.
Speaker 2 (53:37):
I was talking about Mary Max, who's young.
Speaker 14 (53:41):
Don't bring me in it.
Speaker 2 (53:43):
Dor, Let's bring Adam Kaplan into this. We'll get to
Monty in a bit. She's gonna give us the latest.
I'm in a bit of hot water, adam a happy Sunday.
How are you, NFL Insider? All right, I just spent
the last twelve minutes with Carrie Rhodes talking about the
Seahawks side of things on this Team Smith trade.
Speaker 4 (54:02):
All right, I don't.
Speaker 2 (54:03):
Mind it as a Seahawks fan, I actually done. I'm
glad that they could say no to a quarterback. Appears
that they weren't that far off on numbers for a contract.
Speaker 1 (54:11):
But there's an waiting.
Speaker 2 (54:15):
Sorry, we just had a highlight there from there was
an empty net and the Raiders ended up taking it
with Geno Smith and taking him from the Seahawks. But yeah,
how does how does this deal go down? How close
in this were the Seahawks and Gino Smith actually on
a deal?
Speaker 15 (54:29):
Yeah, it depends on you speak with. But this is
my understanding. So, yeah, they wanted this, They wanted a
deal done. They did not want him. They want it
certainly over the next few years.
Speaker 4 (54:39):
Uh.
Speaker 15 (54:39):
You know he was on the fine vers deal. Uh,
And they wanted it done. And the problem is, as
I understand it, we'll get to see them darnold. Second,
because Donald had a similar situation with the Vikings and
so does. But they they did not want to commit
in terms of guaranteed money passed one year the way
I understand in it and now with the Raiders, would
(55:02):
not surprise me at some point before the season and
if everything's going well that they actually extend his contract. Now,
it doesn't mean the Raiders can draft a quarterback, but
because of Pete Carroll and I got a nice little
nugget for you here. This is an an interesting one
going back a long time ago. So Chip Kelly was
the head coach of Eagles at twenty thirteen. The Eagles
(55:25):
were actually wanted to draft you know Smith. They brought
everyone to West Virginia to me with them before his
pro day and the meeting didn't go great and the
Eagles kind of backed off of him, but Chip was
very high on him. And of course right now he's
six million dollars a year offensive coordinator for the Raiders.
Speaker 1 (55:40):
That's a good point. I mean, I think the Chip
Kelly part of it is is censored to this deal
as well, which I didn't see the state earlier. But
let's talk about I want to talk about this astronomical
contract that.
Speaker 15 (55:52):
One's surprised me I'm not gonna lie. Yeah, I didn't
expect it to come together this quickly.
Speaker 1 (55:55):
Thing. Yeah, how did that get done so fast? I
mean it's so far apart.
Speaker 4 (55:59):
Yeah, well it's really interesting. So they won't admit it.
Speaker 15 (56:03):
But the Max Crosby deal, it basically took because the
Browns were prepared to offer thirty five million years. I
understood it at the combine, and as you know, Garrett
through his representatives put out there that it doesn't matter
that he's not resigning. He wants out, he wants to
go somewhere he could win, wants to make sure they
have a quarterback. And is this Crosby deal gets done
(56:24):
thirty five and a half million a season after it,
By the way, it had season where he was hurt.
He had a high ankle sprain he dealt with for
several weeks. So Garrett had maximum leverage here. He could
do whatever he wants. And look, he could have held out,
which he sounded like he was prepared to do. And
then the Browns came in with all guns blading, so
to speak. They had everything. I mean, they not only
(56:47):
did they bring the money. My feeling is this is
talking to one of the coaches today who said that
this is what he thinks is that they outlined everything
to him, which is what I talked about on FSR
this week, is that they were hoping that if they,
if Garrett was still holding steady here, gets through the
free agency, get through the draft, and let him see
(57:09):
how committed they are to building a really good football team.
So I know if people are going to say what matter?
At forty million a year, you can't walk away from it.
I get that, But you only know, and Carrie could
relate to this as a former player. You only know
what it's like when when you when it's miserable and
you know you don't have a chance to win.
Speaker 4 (57:26):
And I did.
Speaker 15 (57:27):
I don't know if I mentioned this. Guys, I actually
met Carl Pickens. Might remember him, Yeah, played for the
Bengals and Tennessee. Yeah, yeah, I met him. Yeah, you
might remember. He's a great player by a former first
round pick, phenomenal football player. You know, he was very
unhappy when he played with the Bengals because it just
couldn't win. And he explained to me, when you would
get there, it's so frustrating when you know you can't win.
(57:49):
It doesn't matter how much you're getting paid, and he
couldn't remember this so called Carl Pickens role. That Carlock
and I actually talked about that. That's what it's like
when you're miserable, when you when you go in and
you don't have a chance to win. And that's why
Garrett wanted out. But obviously the Browns convinced him. And
but give Jimmy has them by the way, the Browns
owner credit and Andrew Berry. Although I again I was
(58:12):
telling Manti last night, I this is before we knew
the deal was getting done. Had this thing drug out
months and two? You know, you're talking about leading up
to training camp. That's when that's when you really know
the guy's dug in and is not going to show up,
and that's when you consider trading them. But it never
got there.
Speaker 1 (58:28):
And I give the Browns credit, and Adam I want
to just piggyback on that a little bit. Right, Sure,
the Browns were awful last year, but I think a
lot of people saw that team coming into the season
having a fighting chance of making the playoffs. So how
bad are they? And are we overreacting to this season
that they had? Obviously, Deshaun Watson was a disaster. But
outside of that, what do they have?
Speaker 15 (58:48):
That's fair because honestly, when you look at that football
team in particular, you've got a you know, good, not
a great offensive line though it's aging. I know that's
a very big concern. They don't have a starting running
back right now. They've got a couple young receivers they like.
Defensively under Jim Schwartz, they're very talented. It's really not
a defensive thing. It's offensively. The quarterback. Listen, I'm not
(59:09):
saying if they take cam Ward at number two, assuming
that the Titans either trade out or don't take them,
that they're gonna this is gonna be a situation like
the Commanders had and make the playoffs with a dynamic,
workie quarterback. But there's enough there and the tight end
end joke who's very unerrated. There's enough there are You're right, Kerry,
You and I are kind of seeing this the same way,
whereas I think Tennessee there are.
Speaker 4 (59:28):
A lot more than a quarterback away. They've got a
lot of problems.
Speaker 2 (59:31):
Adam kaplan our NFL in Center Pro Football Networks, where
you can read them also hear them on the inside
The Birds Podcast and here on FSR giving us the
latest NFL information. So what does this do for Trey
Hendrickson's trade request? Ottis Cincinnati and his next deal.
Speaker 15 (59:46):
See, the thing is, Dan, there's only one thing that's
a negative, and it's Garrett's a year younger, by the way,
And that's the thing is that Hendrickson turns thirty one
this year. I know, I know, he's had really no
injury history to speak of. He's been he did have
a neck injury in the last couple of years, but
overall it has been very healthy, incredibly productive.
Speaker 4 (01:00:07):
They'll get listen.
Speaker 15 (01:00:08):
And by the way, the Bengals don't want to trade him,
and they want to get a deal done with him.
And there's a little bit of misinformation out there. There's oh,
they're just going to put it into offense. That's really
not true.
Speaker 4 (01:00:17):
So I understand it.
Speaker 15 (01:00:18):
But the value that Trey wants and his agent Harrol
lewis what they see, and they see that these numbers
going up comparatively to what the Bengals are willing to offer.
Speaker 4 (01:00:28):
That's the issue.
Speaker 15 (01:00:30):
This one's going to be fascinating because if he could
get if the Bengals wind up trading him, to a
really good football team. He could be a difference maker.
He's that good, by the way, He's a phenomenal football
player and all Pro. I don't have my ballot here
for the Pro fooball Right Association, but I know I
had him as one of the top three at dressers
(01:00:51):
in the National Football League this past season.
Speaker 4 (01:00:53):
It's a great football Yeah.
Speaker 15 (01:00:55):
Yeah, he did seventeen and a half and dan when
you really look at it, if you take him away,
first of all, you have to get one back. If
you're the Bengals, right, that's you know, It's like, if
the Browns are going to trade Miles Garrett, how could
they not get an edge rusher back. So the Bengals
defense was just horrific last season. Just think about how
bad they would be without Trey Hendrickson.
Speaker 1 (01:01:14):
Yeah, I mean yes, I mean obviously you want to
keep that guy. You want to keep a destructive edge rusher.
But they have so many people they have to pay.
I don't know how they're going to get it done.
Speaker 4 (01:01:23):
I know, and carry here's the thing.
Speaker 15 (01:01:25):
They're not an NFL rich team that this has been
the problem where they keep kicking, they keep delaying, delaying, delaying.
Speaker 4 (01:01:31):
Now they're Duke Tobin, who oversees personnel for them.
Speaker 15 (01:01:35):
I mean he's been on record saying, hey, listen, we're
going to make Jamar Chase the highest paid non quarterback. Oops,
well that's gonna be hard now with Miles Garrett getting
forty million a year and Justin Jefferson's are ready getting
thirty four million a year, So it's it's and then
they've they've also been on record saying that they're going
to get t Higgins then I will see.
Speaker 4 (01:01:55):
I mean he's already tagged of course.
Speaker 15 (01:01:57):
So that's a team that really was disappointed last seasons,
mostly because of their defense, and now they've they're in
a kind of a crossroads here that that's a This
is going to be a fascinating.
Speaker 4 (01:02:07):
Week, folks.
Speaker 15 (01:02:09):
While it's not a great frenchy list, the quarterback position
as we started this, the segment off on is going
to be fascinating to see what happens.
Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
Adam Kaplan our Fox Sports Radio NFL insider joining us.
We just talked about Gino Smith, but also in that
conversation talked about DK metcalf I told Carrie when I
heard about the trade to request, I thought that if
Seattle got a third. I should be happy for it
as a fan. That seems to be the number that's
out there that there would be a team willing to
give up a third. But this first round pick that
(01:02:37):
Seattle wants, it doesn't seem to be there.
Speaker 15 (01:02:41):
Yeah, he's not an intrasher too. A couple of problems.
You have leverage and a guy's coming off of a
really good season. Well it's not Metcal's fault. I mean,
Jackson Smith and Jigba was dominant because they ran a
heavy eleven personnel offense last season under the now former
offense coordinator Ryan Grutt.
Speaker 4 (01:03:00):
Orts within jig but just dominated playing inside.
Speaker 15 (01:03:02):
And the new staff made a point publicly and probably
to let Metcalf know he's gonna be a focal point
of their passing game. And I they's just the Seahawks
right now. Know that you're looking at thirty two, you're
probably looking actually more than thirty million a year for
an extension, and they don't seem to be really on
(01:03:23):
board and doing that. And I guess there was the
report from Sports Illustrated that before the Big Crosby extension
that the Seahawks offered.
Speaker 4 (01:03:36):
The Metcalf and Gino. I mean, that's just miss Crosby.
Speaker 15 (01:03:41):
Yeah, and of course they said no immediately because they
knew they're gonna get Crosby's deal done. So that's I've
never even think that's not true. That's just kind of
funny that the Raiders want to know part of it.
DK is a good player, but he's not in the
Jefferson range. He's not as talented, he's not as versatile,
and that's why it's it's going to be hard for
them to get mad.
Speaker 4 (01:03:59):
I mean, look, they could either do it now.
Speaker 15 (01:04:01):
John Snider is really good by the way their GM,
or they could wait closer to the draft when there
could be a little more value. Now I could tell
you and we'll talk more about this in the coming weeks.
This is a really good there's probably seven starters talking
to personnel people and coaches at the ted end.
Speaker 4 (01:04:15):
Position that will be drafted. But wide receiver group is
not very good.
Speaker 15 (01:04:21):
So maybe if the Seahawks want to wait a little bit,
maybe they'll get a little bit more value if they wait.
Speaker 1 (01:04:25):
Yeah, it's crazy. When I look at a DK Metcalf,
I see him as a fast ball pitcher. He doesn't
have a change up in his game, and I think
that's the part of him with the growth that he
has to have to continue to be better. That's going
to be the thing for him. That kind of puts
them over to hump.
Speaker 4 (01:04:39):
Yeah, carry on that. So they're knocking him from a
scouting standpoint, it's funny you bring it up. He has
problems throttling down.
Speaker 15 (01:04:45):
He's a one speed nine route runner, doesn't have the
versatility of say, his former teammate Tyler Lockett.
Speaker 1 (01:04:54):
Yeah, and Dan.
Speaker 15 (01:04:54):
You know, with Lockett being gone, I understand he's not
the same player he once was. If you trade Metcalf,
are they really serious with Jake Bobo? I right now
Bobo is numbered too. Yeah, great story. It's a great
job of scouting. But he was undrafted. I mean, he's
at best a number four receiver. So look, if Sam
Darnold doesn't go there within the next forty eight hours,
(01:05:17):
it's it's tough, guys. It's a really bad free agency.
They're gonna have to look for They're gonna stuff, so
off look the trade market or.
Speaker 4 (01:05:23):
Look at the draft.
Speaker 2 (01:05:24):
What are we still waiting for? Adam Kaplan joining us here?
Find him on exit? Kaplin NFL or NFL in Center.
He's carry Roads. I'm Dan Byer. Obviously a big week,
so we're keeping you just a little bit longer. Ever,
what's up with brock perty in San Francisco. I know
Mike Silver did a piece this week. I'm saying, you know,
the maybe you know the inner workings here with John
Lynch and Kyle Shannon, what's going on with Perdi's deal
(01:05:47):
in the forty nine ers and what's going on within
that that front office.
Speaker 4 (01:05:50):
They've made it clear to him that they want to
extend his deal.
Speaker 15 (01:05:52):
This is not a secret. They're going to do it now.
There's it doesn't they're not playing Cancil September. Sometimes over
the years they've got deals right at the start of
training camp. Sometimes they've gotten them done in in Maine June.
There's yeah, I don't I get it that they the
craziness of the Brandon Ayuk deal. I don't know if
(01:06:12):
you really know what happened there like it. In fact,
kaf Shanahan didn't deny it. Basically, Ayuk was being shipped
off to Pittsburgh at the last minute, Shanahan stopped him.
And it really that John was you know, there was
that thing was down the road and he got it stopped.
In fact, the funny thing is most people don't realize
(01:06:33):
is then of the commanders were very heavy on Brandon
Ayuck right around the draft last year.
Speaker 4 (01:06:38):
I'm not happening obviously, so I don't.
Speaker 15 (01:06:40):
I know there was some because they didn't like the
way Ayu handled himself with that situation. There was some
bad blood, but look, he tours a c L. I
know people are putting it out there. They'd be they
they they'd be able to moving them like okay whatever.
I mean, it's that's never say never. I mean, who
in the world would trade for a guy coming off
to an ACL. It's not a cap problem, by the way,
(01:07:02):
because the way the contract structure, the kick out of
it fairly easily in the trade.
Speaker 4 (01:07:06):
I mean, the Dead Mighty wouldn't be too bad. But like,
what are we doing here?
Speaker 15 (01:07:09):
They just have to get in the same page Dan
and answer your question. There's been a I know they
get along very well, but the communication probably has to
be a.
Speaker 4 (01:07:16):
Little bit better. But maybe and I've read a little bit.
Speaker 15 (01:07:19):
Of Michael's peace because he knows that team really well,
being that he's out there and he's covered that team
for number of years, a couple of decades, so he
knows what's going on, and maybe jad Is the owner,
is getting a little bit frustrated with them not getting
stuff done here. They took a step back lassas it
wasn't just pretty and him, I agreed, Yes, they took
(01:07:40):
a big step back last season.
Speaker 4 (01:07:42):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:07:42):
He's Adam kap on our NFL Insider. New league year
starts on Wednesday, expecting a whole bunch of more moves
between now. Yeah, a lot, thanks, Adam, right, see you.
He's carry roads. I'm Dan Byer. Let's go to the
news desk Monts. He's got NFL news of her own
to pass along for us here on this Sunday. What's
going on, Matzi.
Speaker 9 (01:08:01):
I'm watching this women's basketball game, you guys between UCLA
and USC bab and Juju Watkins had eighteen points at
the half.
Speaker 7 (01:08:09):
She just scored her first I think bucket in the
fourth quarter. They're one for thirteen.
Speaker 9 (01:08:15):
USC in the fourth quarter they were up and now
they're losing to UCLA sixty four to sixty with one
minute to go.
Speaker 7 (01:08:22):
And this is the Big ten final. Juju Watkins twenty
four points right now, but they just went cold. US
just went ice cold. They say fourth.
Speaker 1 (01:08:29):
Quarter, it's always tough to be the team three times.
Speaker 7 (01:08:32):
It's really tough to beat a team three times. And
that's what Hartman was saying in the show. I was like,
that is Steve Harty. You've never heard of them.
Speaker 1 (01:08:39):
Oh, I'm so, I'm just confused watching this like the
Big Ten Finals US.
Speaker 7 (01:08:42):
Yeah, yes, it's still something to get used to. Yeah,
for sure. All right, let's check in on the NFL guys.
Speaker 9 (01:08:50):
Yes, Miles Garrett and the Browns have a great on
a four year, one hundred and sixty million dollar extension,
making him the highest paid non quarterback in NFL history.
Aaron Jones' recent signing with the Vikings on a two year,
twenty million dollar deal. The Bills released Von Miller today
to clear salary cap space, but both parties are reportedly
open to him returning to the Bills. Diana Russini tweeted
(01:09:12):
two different things in the last hour. The Steelers are
expected to make an offer to pending free agent Sam Darnold,
even though she did say that everyone thinks he's going
to Seattle, but that the Steelers are still going to
make an offer. The Seahawks are expected to talk with
Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 7 (01:09:30):
According to Dianas, Okay, wait here.
Speaker 2 (01:09:37):
Day.
Speaker 7 (01:09:39):
Yeah, well we'll see what happens.
Speaker 2 (01:09:42):
There's Oh yes, I've heard of the same thing too.
And when we talked about the interceptions, Gina throwing a
lot of interceptions, Donald's always been known to throw a
lot of interceptions. Rogers doesn't. So if you want to
carry his point, if you want somebody to protect the ball,
why not.
Speaker 1 (01:10:00):
Yeah, I get it.
Speaker 4 (01:10:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:10:02):
In the NBA, Lebron James is expected to miss about
one to two weeks because of that strain left growing
that he suffered in last night's lost to the Celtics.
Speaker 7 (01:10:10):
Two games have wrapped up.
Speaker 9 (01:10:11):
In the NBA shake Gilges Alexander had forty points again
and Okac has won seven in a row after they
topped the Nuggets one twenty seven to one oh three,
while the Suns defeated the Mavericks one to one sixteen.
In men's college hoops, high Point, Lipscomb and Drake have
all punched their ticket to the Big Dance NCAA tournament,
And lastly here in baseball, Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez will
(01:10:34):
undergo surgery on his broken left wrist.
Speaker 7 (01:10:36):
He's going to miss six to eight weeks.
Speaker 1 (01:10:38):
I thought you were going to drop of our team,
Maldonado stet. I honestly thought that.
Speaker 7 (01:10:42):
I also said, Francisco Albaretz, no fan.
Speaker 2 (01:10:47):
Sore you well done? Jess all right, she is mont Belanios.
I'm Dan Bayer. That's Carrie Rhodes. It is Fox Sports Sunday.
Speaker 1 (01:10:57):
Do you want to do? Carry on next? I just
can't wait for what else do you say? Right now? Dan?
Speaker 2 (01:11:03):
I can totally see him living in a treehouse during
his one season in Seattle.
Speaker 1 (01:11:08):
I can't just up there in the Pacific Northwest? Dam
did you say, Dan? About one, two, three more?
Speaker 2 (01:11:17):
We're gonna push that to next hour. It's difficult today,
by the way, So yeah, get your thinking caps on.
Speaker 1 (01:11:23):
Carry on?
Speaker 2 (01:11:24):
Oh if you think I went easy on you in
the game, wait, do you see what we've got for
carry on lif athetirec dot Com Studios. Carry in the
hot seat next on Fox Sports Radio, Fox Sports Sunday.
He's carry Rhoades the All Pro. I'm Dan Byer. Keeping
our eye on the women's basketball matchups. Big twelve Championship
(01:11:44):
going on TCU and Baylor on a court that is
going to mess with your eyes if you haven't seen it. Yes, sure,
the the met'll have the same court when they play
next week. TCUs up in that one in u c.
L A, trying to knock off us. The third times
the teams have meet this season. USC won the first
two meetings, met just a week ago here in southern California,
(01:12:08):
but now playing in Indianapolis in a five point game
as UCLA. And now it's a three point game with
four point two seconds left, and so UCLA is gonna
need free throws to seal the deal. Easy as one, two, three,
four coming up at seven twenty Eastern time. We're gonna
move that right now. It's time to carry on carry
(01:12:32):
Rhodes gets five topics presented to him. He tells if
he's if he's on board or off that train. Topic
number one, Carrie JJ Reddick now is the front runner
for NBA Coach of the Year.
Speaker 1 (01:12:50):
I know it's it's the hot thing to say that
right now in the way the Lakers have been playing,
but I'm going to carry off of that one. I'm
off off JJ being coach of the year. He would
be He will finish in the top three for sure. Okay,
I've done a great job with the Lakers, But right now,
how can you give it to anybody outside of the
(01:13:11):
top two. Cleveland and Detroit, those two stories, and those
two coaching coaching staffs have done a great job. Bickerstaff
and Oze Atkinson and Kenny Akinson have done a great job.
I mean Cleveland had a good team with the bicker
Staff and those guys. Atkinson comes in and really get
sets that team up to be the team. But they
are right now number one in the East. And I
(01:13:32):
would take I would take Kenny Atkinson.
Speaker 2 (01:13:33):
And carry your assessment. You don't have it on your screen,
but I've got it on mine. Kenny Atkinson right now
minus one thousand to be FBA Coach of the Year.
There you go, plus seven hundred for JB. Bickerstaff and
that pissed in spot. Your top three was cruged JJ
Reddick now plus three thousands, so at least the third
third in terms of odds when it comes to Las Vegas,
(01:13:54):
all right, you heard Monsei's love of Nikola Jokic earlier
topic number two of carry on, Nikola Jokic still has
room to catch SGA for MVP who month left in
the season.
Speaker 1 (01:14:06):
I'm gonna I'm gonna carry off of that one as well.
I think it's been the writing has been on the
wall for a while. Okay, se he's number one team
in the NBA. Well, their second behind Cleveland. And you know,
the train with the s SGA train has been full
throttled the whole time. The team is showing no signs
(01:14:28):
of letting up. And you know, say has had a
great year. I'm going to say there's no room for
Yokus to catch c. Today could have.
Speaker 2 (01:14:35):
Been that day to try to maybe start it. If
Denver goes and knocks off Oklahoma City instead, thunder win
by twenty four, SGA's got forty points chance of MVP
reigning down in Oklahoma City, even with a little more
than a month to go, it does seem like it
is a It is a rap. The most valuable player
(01:14:55):
all right? Speaking of raps, is the Yankee season over
before it started? Carrett Coles got elbow issue, Stanton's got
two of them.
Speaker 1 (01:15:05):
He's got both elbows. Just walk around like this like,
you know, like he's already strong. And keep it locked here,
keep it locked. I'm off of that one as well.
I'm carry off the Yankees on a two man team.
Even though there's their ace and that's one of their
really good players, they have enough to stay and keep
the you know, keep the boat steady above water while
(01:15:27):
those guys get back and get healthy. Hopefully Stanton place
this year, but even if he doesn't, they have enough
to still be right in the picture as the season
goes on.
Speaker 2 (01:15:37):
So I'm off that I think that there's gonna be
some World Series hangover. Oh you think that's place into it?
Speaker 1 (01:15:44):
Okay, we shall see.
Speaker 2 (01:15:45):
We'll say shifting gears to the National Football League topic
number four and carry on. The Cincinnati Bengals need Trey
Hendrickson more than they need t Higgins. I'm carrying on
on that one for sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean
obviously both the great players. One is a game changer,
a league changer, a league wreckord. He wrecks things up front.
(01:16:08):
And so for defense that was as poor as the
Cincinnati as was last year. If they were to lose
that piece, how can they even improve at all? So yes,
I'm gonna say Trey Hendrickson it's more important right now
than t Higgins is there at any point, if Hendrickson
gets thirty five million dollars or some teams willing to
do it, you're paying t Higgins twenty six point eight
(01:16:29):
on the franchise, they'd want to work out something different.
But is there any way that you could justify Okay,
we had to let t Higgins or excuse me, Trey
Hendrickson go. So now we need all of our weapons.
We're just gonna have to outscore anybody everybody.
Speaker 4 (01:16:44):
Is that a?
Speaker 8 (01:16:45):
Is that a?
Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
Is that a possible way of thinking for the Bengals.
Speaker 1 (01:16:50):
It's a It's a way. It's not it's not the way.
It's a way.
Speaker 2 (01:16:57):
It's one way to look at it. When there's a wheel.
Damn what there's a way there you go. I'm with
you on that as well. I just yeah, they can.
Jamar Chase is gonna want his money as well, and
so and they tried this year Dan to outscore people.
Speaker 1 (01:17:12):
What happened, Yeah, didn't. That's not gonna happen fither one.
The Los Angeles Chargers need DK Metcalf more than any
other AFC team. I'm gonna carry on on that one
as well. I'm gonna carry on with that one. I
think it's I mean, we know that the Charges were
devout of any kind of playmaker on the outside except
(01:17:34):
for the slot guy. They had Quentin Jump Ladd McCay,
thank you god, I can think of it. Yeah, outside
of Ladd. So they needed they need a receiver to
come in and be a I think he fits them
perfectly too. They're run run first team. He's a big
body receiver that can get open and make contested catches.
He'd fit that, He'd fit that brand the football really well.
So I would say they are the team that could
(01:17:56):
use him the most. For sure, you would help you.
Speaker 2 (01:17:58):
There's been talking maybe Kansas City being interested, but I
don't don't.
Speaker 1 (01:18:03):
I don't see that happen see either.
Speaker 2 (01:18:05):
Yeah, Buffalo possibility as a possibility, and I do think
that the Seahawks would want to trade them to the AFC.
But yeah, all right there it is another great edition
of carry.
Speaker 1 (01:18:16):
On carry On.
Speaker 2 (01:18:18):
In the end, UCLA tops USC in the Big Ten
Women's Tournament. So UCLA gets the victory. Juju Watkins finished
with twenty nine. But Monty told you about the struggles
of the USC offense. They were up double digits in
that game. And now UCLA comes back and now you
can say it, oh, UCLA Big Ten champs.
Speaker 1 (01:18:40):
Yeah, I know, I'm so confused. But you talk about
that one, I mean this TCU Baylor game. TCU is
up ten coming into the fourth and now it's tied.
So I guess these games are hard to put away
in the tournament, you know what. And we're gonna talk
some college basketball coming up at the top of the hour.
There's a lot to get to college conference tournaments here,
there and everywhere. It's really one of my favorite points
(01:19:03):
of the week. You asked me earlier if I watched
Laker Celtics last night. One of the reasons why I
didn't watch the whole game was because I wanted to
watch the Ohio Valley Conference championship game between si Ue
and Southeast Missouri, which was a good game.
Speaker 2 (01:19:18):
And SIUI ends up cutting down the nets and that's
their coach had the scissors in the box that he
for six years. He's like, when we win and weekly's
the automatic bid, we're gonna break this class and clouts. Yes,
So that's the stuff of championship week that I like,
and it's a great week in college hoops. We'll dive
into all of the conferences and whatnot. Plus there are
(01:19:40):
some big issues that may be hurting the game of
college basketball. He's carry Roads. I'm Dan Byer. We talk
about it next on Fox DeVante Adams back on the
West Coast. Is it the best coast? Something that will
decipher here over the next few minutes or sos. We
are broadcasting love from the tirerech dot Com studios tierrech
dot Com.
Speaker 1 (01:19:59):
We'll he'p begets.
Speaker 2 (01:20:00):
They're an unmatched selection, fast, free shipping, free road as
a protection. You know, over ten thousand recommended installers tire
rec dot com the way tire buying should be. Also
the final day of regular season college basketball for the men.
The women are basically into their tournaments already, but for
the men Big ten wrapping up today, you had other
(01:20:21):
automatic bids being handed out and then we get into
full fledged championship week here in the now second week
of March. He is Carrier Rhoads. I'm Dan Beyer. It
is Fox Sports Sunday. Moncey Belanios at the top of
the hour just broke the news and if you missed it,
DeVante Adams has found a home with the Los Angeles Rams.
Monsey What are the numbers on the Devonte Adams.
Speaker 9 (01:20:44):
Deal to LA So it is a two year deal,
as so much news already popping right now, it's a
two year deal worth forty six million, twenty six million guaranteed.
Apparently he wanted more than twenty million, and he wanted
to stay on the West coast.
Speaker 2 (01:21:00):
You know why they want to let go a Cooper
Cup exactly got to make a little space.
Speaker 1 (01:21:04):
I mean it's only essentially a one year deal for
twenty six million, So I mean that's pretty much I
think a really good deal for them to bring in
the guy that's a veteran guy that can I think
can still play. I think you can absolutely play.
Speaker 2 (01:21:17):
And now you have him pugan Akua, Matthew Stafford back
with the Rams team that still relies on Kyron Williams,
in a team that if we remember, in snowy conditions, Yeah,
they had by the way on the road, Kerry just
fist pumped, which you can't see on radio, because he
thought I was gonna reference his NFC Championship game prediction
(01:21:41):
from week seven when they were like one in five
coming out of a buy or something like that. Yeah,
but I will give you credit. They got close to
making that NFC Championship game. They did end up giving
the Eagles all they could handle. Had a bad quarter
when the blizzard hit in Philadelphia, but in the last
few minutes were able to figure out a way to
make a comeback and had the ball in Philadelphia territory
(01:22:04):
the possibility of winning that game and it didn't happen.
I mentioned the Seahawks earlier being a ten win team,
they could have made the playoffs, but I didn't think
that they were a playoff team. They weren't beating teams
that were better than them. The Rams did that. The
Rams had Buffalo come to their place and they beat Buffalo.
The Rams would beat teams that maybe you would think, oh,
that team is better than They did that in the
(01:22:24):
second half of the year and they played better football.
This makes them even more of a legit contender to
maybe repeat in that division.
Speaker 1 (01:22:32):
Yeah, this team is going to be good. I mean
and there, and we talked about it when they were
talking about the stafford situation, him possibly being let go
or whatever. It just didn't make sense at the time
to me. And you know, just knowing McVeigh wants to
win and the way that he's gone about that in
his career. So to bring Matthew Stafford back and now
bring in Demonte Adams shows this team is ready to
(01:22:53):
roll and you know defensively they're going to be good
as well.
Speaker 2 (01:22:56):
You mentioned last week Sean mcvay's future and I don't
know how long he's going to be there. Do you
think it's tied to Matthew Stafford. Do you think like
his tenure as Rams head coach is tied to how
long Matthew Stafford stays. That's hard to say.
Speaker 1 (01:23:12):
I mean, I think just from the outside looking in
and what we've seen from him in that team, in
an organization they're in. When now Molde all the time,
and the fact that he brought that, you know, he
brought Stafford over that with his guy. I could see
him riding off in the sunset once that union's over.
Speaker 2 (01:23:29):
I'm just glad that now he's found a home that
likely things will work out, we believe, and we can
forget about the Aaron Rodgers DeVante Adams paired together drama
for at least twenty twenty five at least.
Speaker 1 (01:23:43):
I'm surprised. Yeah, I thought they were the old ball
and chain I thought that's what they were going to
be moving forward, Aaron Rodgers and DeVante Adams. But Adams
saw some green pastor somewhere else, and now he's around.
Speaker 2 (01:23:55):
It really does feel because Green Bay wanted him back
when they traded him, like they wanted him back, and
it just didn't feel like Devonte Adams wanted to be there.
In fact, that the Green Bay had offered him more
money than the Raiders did in the trade that they
ultimately got. How many guys do you know that you
played with they just wanted to be like maybe they
(01:24:16):
were a Florida guy, they wanted to be in Florida,
they wanted to be in warm weather, or just an
East Coast guy. Because it sure seems like that's the
case with DeVonta Adams. I know, like he went to
go play for the Jets with Aaron Rodgers, but I
don't think that he was under any you know, thought
that that was going to be a long term home. Yeah,
you know, Fresno State guy. Then you know, leaves Green
(01:24:38):
Bay to go to the Raiders. Now there was talk
that he wanted to move back out west. How often
does that happen in the National Football League?
Speaker 1 (01:24:47):
Probably more now than my time. I think with the
player empowerment, that stuff that goes on these days, I
don't think it was much of a real thing or
had much relevance during my time. I think if you
were on an NFL team, no matter where you were,
you're gonna be happy, right. But I think now with
players having so much more power in this day and age,
(01:25:08):
I could probably see that band of thing.
Speaker 2 (01:25:10):
You also have to be good enough, of course, yeay,
of course, I think most players don't have the legs
to be able to choose the.
Speaker 1 (01:25:17):
Yeah. Absolutely, So we'll keep you up to day on
all the NFL news.
Speaker 2 (01:25:20):
Ernest Jones signing back with the Seahawks something that I'm
excited about because their defense just completely changed. When Ernest
Jones was brought over in a trade from the Titans,
the sides had broken off talks at the end of
the regular season.
Speaker 1 (01:25:33):
It kind of wondered what that was going to mean.
Speaker 2 (01:25:36):
With Jones's standing with the team, and when you would
see information or rankings on defensive players that were available,
he was always a name in the top ten, top fifteen.
And now he goes back to Seattle on a three
year deal. Thirty three million dollars according to the reports there.
So it's been a busy day. And of course if
you missed it, and if you missed what MOTSI said,
(01:25:56):
Miles Garrett getting a massive deal to return to the
Cleveland four years, one hundred and sixty million dollars, one
hundred and twenty three million guaranteed. I believe the numbers
were so Miles Garrett making forty million dollars annually as
he is back with the Browns.
Speaker 1 (01:26:12):
We mentioned it.
Speaker 2 (01:26:12):
It is college basketball week. And if you weren't paying
attention yesterday, and I told you, I was moving around
on the dial, so I wasn't locked in completely on
Lakers Celtics. There was a lot of good basketball started
earlier in the day. Alabama goes to Auburn, knocks off
the Tigers in overtime, Mark Sears with the buzzer beater,
true buzzer beater.
Speaker 1 (01:26:32):
It was at the Horn.
Speaker 2 (01:26:34):
Great rivalry between those two top ten teams, and then
maybe the best rivalry and all of college basketball. Duke
coast to North Carolina and tops the tar Heels and
sweeps that season series and for Duke gets the number
one overall see in the ACC tournament.
Speaker 1 (01:26:45):
Yeah, it was dicey. I mean the thing about that game,
which had a lot of relevance, I mean ESBN was
pushing the narrative of North Carolina having to win to
kind of secure a spot in the tournament. But also
if Duke lost that game, they go from the first
seat of the third seed in the a SEC tournament.
So you would think that the dominance that Duke had
throughout the year, and it was dominance. I mean, they
(01:27:07):
would beat NACC teams by average of almost thirty points
down the stretch here, but they were still one loss
away from not even being the conference champion.
Speaker 2 (01:27:15):
So just the whole.
Speaker 1 (01:27:16):
Outlook of what that game brings, and obviously being eight
miles apart, those teams have had a I mean many
ACECY championships and many national championships between the two and
so yeah, it's always a big game. And for Duke
to come back and actually has some adversity as well,
to be down seven in the second half, come back
and win that game by double digits was a big deal.
Speaker 2 (01:27:36):
I just said to you that I thought Laker Celtics
felt like Laker Celtics last night. Did Duke North Carolina
feel like Duke North Carolina to you on Saturday.
Speaker 1 (01:27:44):
Yeah, we talked and we were talking through texts about
that and just the you know, obviously they want to
preserve that because it is the legacy of it is
such a big deal. But I think now with college
basketball and even college football with the NIL and talk
about player empowerment again and teams and players not being
together for two three years, where you have a Jordan
(01:28:08):
going against you know, you know, Duke three times before
he leaves, and you actually get to hate that guy,
or Kristin Layton or right with Duke, like you get
to hate that guy because he's been around so long.
I think we're losing that with the rivalry. But you know,
the names Duke North Carolina always brings it.
Speaker 2 (01:28:24):
I'll say this because I don't think that the player
movement has changed as much. And if people feel that
it is hindered Duke North Carolina, I just say, well,
what about Austin Rivers. Yeah, Austin Rivers was there for
a year and is one of the monumental Duke North
Carolina highlights. What the tricky thing with Duke North Carolina
(01:28:45):
or today you have Michigan, Michigan State playing the final
and mentioned Auburn and Alabama yesterday. Is sometimes with these
rivalries in college basketball, the second time around doesn't have
as much mph for variety of reasons. Number one, it's
the second time they played this year, so the first
time when North Carolina Duke played in the regular season,
(01:29:06):
there's more of a build up to it because it
hadn't happened that season. Now we look at this match
and we'll be like, well, having four weeks ago, we
saw what we saw, it happened in that game. Duke's
the better team. But you know, there is the difference
between a return trip. The other is the flip side
of it of what's coming up this week. It's a
week that I love and I wouldn't want it taken away.
But now they're going to go to ACC tournaments in
(01:29:26):
Charlotte this year, They're gonna go to Charlotte, and heck,
who knows, they could be playing time, Yeah, a third time,
or like we saw a couple here's ago play a
fourth war. You know, completely different feeling. But when you
have that turnaround. We just talked about UCLA and USC
the women's tournament. They're meeting in the finals. They made
a week ago here in LA that does hurt it.
I don't think the one and done hurts, and it's
(01:29:49):
an archaic phrase, so I shouldn't say it that way.
The short term availability of these players in these programs
is the better way to put it, because it could
be transfer portal, it could be something you know, it
could be going to the league, whatever the case is.
But the movement of players, I don't think. I don't
think it affects it that much. I think we feel
that it does overall. Yeah, but I feel like if
(01:30:11):
you're an Alabama fan, there's very few things basketball wise
that would top what happened yesterday of going to Auburn
beating the top ranked team in the country on their gym,
getting revenge for what they did. You know that Mark
Sears highlight is going to be a highlight that Alabama
basketball should probably play for the next twenty five years.
Speaker 1 (01:30:33):
For a long time. Yeah. I agree with you on that.
I don't think it should hurt the brand of what
the rivalry brings, but actually having that real venom towards
not just the team or the school anymore. It's like
I hate Kristin Laytoner like that, Vitriol made it go
to another level. Why I feel just having you know
that double umf of I hate North Carolina, but I
(01:30:56):
also hate Tyler Hansbrough, you know what I mean. It's
a little added element to it.
Speaker 2 (01:31:01):
Grayson Allen was a guy. Yes, you know, I Readick
growing up as a as an Ohio State fan and
did not like Indiana. So many people didn't like Damon Bailey.
Greg Graham was the one who always got in mic
because Greig Graham was really good, and like that's with
the Calbert Cheney teams, and I mean in Indiana was
really good in the early to mid nineties. But like, yeah,
(01:31:25):
I totally get it. Those guys that you can't stand
three or four years. Some guys feel like they've been their.
Speaker 1 (01:31:30):
Twelve years exactly why Hansburg still here.
Speaker 2 (01:31:34):
I get that that is gone by the wayside, and
I think that there are very few instances where where
you can still have that. Like I look at a
Purdue team, Like a Purdue team that went to the
Final four last year, that had been around. There are
players on that team that the Big Ten doesn't like
because they're familiar with it. People got sick of Zach
Edie last year because they hung around. But it's few
(01:31:56):
and far between in those situations. And now with the
transfer portal, I mean there's even more of an opportunity
for somebody to leave.
Speaker 1 (01:32:03):
Yes, yeah, no, No, it's funny you talk about that,
that Purdue team and the Big Ten. We got one
of those guys we got I said, we doukas that guy.
So Mason Gillis who was on that Purdue national championship team,
and this is what his fit the year. So it's
like I don't like him. And that's and that's the
vibe you really get a lot of times.
Speaker 2 (01:32:23):
It is it is the transforming world of college basketball.
But I have tried the campaign whenever I can of
how good I think it's been. I mentioned it last
week on what a great weekend it was, and that
was you know Alabama. Perfect example. Alabama goes to Tennessee,
loses on a heartbreaking buzzer beater from you know, thirty
(01:32:43):
five feet out in Knoxville, and what do they do
the next week, Oh, they go to Auburn and and
well it may not be exact, they rip their hearts out.
That's a great week of basketball. And I don't know
anybody in the SEC has been great all year. How
you can how you can deny that and say that
it's not And I know that the college basketball world
(01:33:04):
isn't the same of when I grew up or when
you grew up, But it doesn't mean that there's not
a lot of greatness there and goodness within. Last night
I watched you See Davis take on you see san Diego,
because you see San Diego is a machine, and you
know what, they wore a machine last night, and they're
going to roll into the Big West and may even
(01:33:26):
get an at large tournament, so big or small, there
are still great stories even if the entire landscape has changed.
Ohio State played Indiana yesterday and what was a You
need this if you want to truly be in the
NCAA tournament. Ohio State played poorly in the second half,
Indiana gets the win. Now the Hoosiers feeling pretty good
about themselves going into the Big Ten tournament. And there
(01:33:47):
are five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten other games that
you can look at that and say that and maybe
even more in college basketball.
Speaker 1 (01:33:55):
And that's what gets me excited about the sport. And
it's nothing like turnament time. I mean, we're no you're
right about that. You're a hundred, and I'm gonna take
it in a different direction. This is the problem that
I feel is people think it's only tournament time, that
it only starts next week when the brackets are released,
and it's like, no, look at what just happened in Olwen,
Look what happened last week in Knoxville. Look at all
(01:34:16):
Like that's Baylor and Houston played a great game last
night in the Big twelve. So yeah, there's there's there's
a lot out there for people to be excited about.
But you are right, tournament time is the best time.
Speaker 2 (01:34:27):
He is Carrier Roads. I'm Dan Byer. If you think
Carry's got it great now he's in the hot seat
for easy as one, two, three, four, that's next here
on Fox Sports right now. You want to give me
the background on this Happiest to your Baby.
Speaker 11 (01:34:42):
Going in.
Speaker 1 (01:34:43):
I don't know all the words these Carry Your Roads.
I'm Dan Byer, Fill me in, fill me in? What's
oh this song? This song?
Speaker 9 (01:34:53):
Though?
Speaker 1 (01:34:53):
I was just showing them a clip of tinam reething
in this song live Oh okay and the breath Control
and the band you talk about excellent time, And it
was just a beautiful, beautiful clip.
Speaker 2 (01:35:04):
And how in the world am I supposed to compete
with this? How am I supposed to yell and tell
you it's Fox Sports Sunday.
Speaker 1 (01:35:11):
Was I lost like I was?
Speaker 2 (01:35:12):
I was Drake, I was done there?
Speaker 1 (01:35:16):
There was There had to be something behind it, exactly. Yeah, No,
we had just played it and she was saying she
saw a sample of that on a Snoop Dog song
as well. That's how she got so she's so a
you know, in the late nineties, it was a joke.
(01:35:38):
It was a joke Mary Max was even born. I
don't even have to say you said it for it exactly, Mary.
Speaker 2 (01:35:47):
MACKI you ready to be a lifeline for carryer ons?
Speaker 3 (01:35:50):
What?
Speaker 4 (01:35:50):
Well?
Speaker 2 (01:35:50):
You better be time to play easy as one, two,
three four. Shay Monty also lifelines for Carrie. It's tough today,
oh man, you can figure it out.
Speaker 5 (01:36:00):
It was tough last week too, And make it tough
in the screws again.
Speaker 1 (01:36:05):
Let's go. We're not scared.
Speaker 2 (01:36:07):
For those of you that don't know this, Shaye actually
had a lifetime ban because he cheated Steve Hartman.
Speaker 5 (01:36:13):
That was Steve Harmon in My Air added to the show.
Speaker 1 (01:36:16):
It was a good laugh.
Speaker 5 (01:36:18):
We have fun here.
Speaker 1 (01:36:19):
So I got to figure out some way out to
what did he say?
Speaker 13 (01:36:23):
Man?
Speaker 1 (01:36:23):
I can't remember to say, like.
Speaker 2 (01:36:26):
The answers were like the Celtics Warriors and the Saint
Louis Hawks were the answers, And the Celtics and Warriors
had happened within like the past five years.
Speaker 1 (01:36:35):
The Hawks were like nineteen fifty. I was alive.
Speaker 4 (01:36:37):
That was one of that was one of.
Speaker 1 (01:36:39):
The that was like a two of three, and so
that was one of his.
Speaker 2 (01:36:43):
And so I immediately knew that he cheated because Steve
Hartman was behind right behind what was Hawks?
Speaker 1 (01:36:50):
All right?
Speaker 2 (01:36:51):
Topics today? National Football League, College Basketball, the NHL, and NBA.
I figured Shae would know NHL. I think I can
do that, all right, are you ready to play?
Speaker 1 (01:37:02):
Let's do it.
Speaker 2 (01:37:02):
I give carry a topic. He doesn't have to give
me all of the correct answers, just some the goals
for a perfect score of ten. Carry Roads name one
of two all time receiving yardage leaders for the Seattle Seahawks.
Speaker 1 (01:37:14):
One of two. Wow, a receiving.
Speaker 2 (01:37:19):
Yardage leaders for the Seattle Seahawks.
Speaker 1 (01:37:22):
Wow, I'm going Manci Monsey's looking like she knows nothing.
She was just talking to Bree like.
Speaker 7 (01:37:31):
Question, and Bree said, some of the Seahawks.
Speaker 1 (01:37:35):
Seahawks all time leading receiver yards about the Seahawks. I'll
just tell you later. I'll just tell you later the
leading receive exactly. I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:37:47):
All time receiving yardage leaders for the Seattle Seahawks.
Speaker 1 (01:37:51):
Name one of two. I'll go with one. I'll go
with Steve Largin. Okay, I'll go with that final answer,
go with that one.
Speaker 2 (01:37:58):
Here you go, show me Steve Lark.
Speaker 4 (01:38:01):
Good job.
Speaker 2 (01:38:02):
Moncis You're welcome.
Speaker 1 (01:38:04):
I was find involved, numero.
Speaker 7 (01:38:07):
I wasn't even looking at you. I'll give you a
look when I can help.
Speaker 5 (01:38:10):
Stand's favorite player, favorite players.
Speaker 1 (01:38:12):
That's a favorite player, Dan? No, well, isn't that the.
Speaker 5 (01:38:15):
Fun fact thing that you gave me?
Speaker 1 (01:38:17):
What's that it was?
Speaker 5 (01:38:18):
He was one of your favorite players?
Speaker 1 (01:38:20):
Well? No, well he was a.
Speaker 2 (01:38:22):
Favorite because he was a Seahawks. Dave Craig, the former quarterback,
is the reason I became.
Speaker 1 (01:38:26):
A Seahawks guy. Yes, okay, don't worry. I was going
to do all time passing yardist leaders for the Seahawks.
Speaker 2 (01:38:32):
By the way, you'd be surprised at how high up
Gino Smith is on that list, but Tyler Lockett was
the other answer, is it really?
Speaker 4 (01:38:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:38:38):
Eighty five and ninety four yards for Tyler Lockett, obviously
released after ten years of the team this week. That's
why we tied it into this, all right. Question Number two,
Name two of three schools since nineteen seventy nine that
have been a number one seed the most times in
the men's NCAA Tournament the number one seed have been
(01:39:00):
number one seed.
Speaker 1 (01:39:00):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:39:01):
There's four number one seeds yep, every year.
Speaker 1 (01:39:04):
Since seventy nine. Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:39:06):
So your your goal of saying Princeton and Bill Bradley, Nope,
done since nineteen seventy nine. That's who we're looking for.
So I how many dad, two of three or three?
Speaker 1 (01:39:18):
Two of three? I mean Duke, Villanova, Miscan State, UNC,
the Nova, Misigan, Indiana could be in there. I'm gonna say,
I'm gonna say Duke is one. Write them down number
one seeds. I would say Indiana since nineteen seventy nine,
(01:39:44):
seventy nine, because you see LA is not that hold up? No,
that's the other part is no, that's it's the dates
you say, U see LA pre seventy nine because all
those things but direct yes, So I'd say duke Indiana,
and I'm thinking Villanoba. I just need to I'll go Duke,
(01:40:06):
and I'm going duke you, and C duke you and C.
Speaker 2 (01:40:11):
Final answer, yes, all right, show me North Carolina number
one answer eighteen times the tar Heels have been a
number one seed. Show me Duke fourteen times, third most
in that span. Kansas was sandwiched in between fifteen times.
Good thing that you didn't say Indiana only three times
(01:40:32):
that there's been a number one.
Speaker 5 (01:40:34):
Why you had Indiana?
Speaker 1 (01:40:35):
And I was just thinking, like the Bob Knight or
good Okay, okay, the number one is trick like it's
it's Dan has tricks he does and it's like the one,
like I know, they're good like one. I'm sorry, Indiana
probably had like ten two.
Speaker 2 (01:40:48):
Yeah, Well, i'll tell you what I'll tell you. I'll
give you a little insight to this. This question was
going to be the three of the four. But I
felt that you would say Kentucky as well, and that
you would that would have been an easy year one.
So I thought maybe somebody would say Kentucky and that'd
be like, that would be a wrong one. That's where
I tried to trick you up. You did not fall forth.
Speaker 1 (01:41:06):
Kentucky, by the way, was fourth.
Speaker 2 (01:41:08):
They were on the outside looking in at twelve times
you had Arizona and Virginia seven, Yukon six. That Michigan
State team been a number one seed only five times.
Despite all the success in the final fours that Izo
has gone to, they've only been a number one seed
five times.
Speaker 1 (01:41:23):
And it makes sense. It makes sense to Michigan State.
They play a tough schedule throughout the year, most sure,
and so they lose games.
Speaker 2 (01:41:29):
And I kind of feel that the other programs have
had a decade or two head start on them. If
it's from nineteen seventy nine, you would have the magic team,
but then from then on it really wasn't for Michigan State.
All right, three for three carry roads perfect so far. Now,
name three of four NHL teams that play in the
(01:41:50):
Mountain time zone?
Speaker 4 (01:41:52):
Yeah, oh my god, what means.
Speaker 3 (01:41:58):
Our time?
Speaker 5 (01:41:58):
No right, no.
Speaker 4 (01:42:00):
Times?
Speaker 1 (01:42:01):
And I know one of them. I know one of them.
That's the Utah h c whatever their new team, the
new team Utah h c.
Speaker 2 (01:42:10):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:42:11):
Who you got to say, I know you know this one.
You're gonna help me know what to even think. One said, one, Okay.
Speaker 4 (01:42:20):
You're cheating.
Speaker 2 (01:42:20):
You're looking at your computer.
Speaker 5 (01:42:21):
I swear to God not cheating. I'm not. I swear
to God. I'm not cheating. I promise you.
Speaker 1 (01:42:28):
And I know this doesn't translate on ready, I'm staring
at his.
Speaker 5 (01:42:31):
In the podcast yet, I promise you put in Therry magazine.
Speaker 2 (01:42:34):
Is he lying?
Speaker 10 (01:42:35):
I'm not. I'm on Twitter. I'm not even looking at him.
Speaker 2 (01:42:39):
Thanks for not listening. But cheating, Okay. On Steve Hartman's life,
I'm not cheating, all right, his life is crazy. But okay,
so Utah Utah, and then uh, three or four NHL
teams are playing the moment I mean, is that's not
that's Pacific.
Speaker 5 (01:42:58):
That Denver's Mountain bountain time, Denvers mountain time.
Speaker 1 (01:43:01):
It is Denver Mountain time. So Colorado, yeah, Avalanche, Colorado.
All right, that's a hard one because the door geography, the.
Speaker 2 (01:43:12):
Gold last night, the reason why this question is appearing.
Speaker 1 (01:43:16):
You go to nights. That's Vegas is not in mount Okay, Okay, no, h,
I got Utah and Colorado.
Speaker 5 (01:43:26):
Utah, Colorado.
Speaker 1 (01:43:27):
Oh the Coyotes, Phoenix, well, Phoenix just moved to Utah.
Oh that is is Utah.
Speaker 12 (01:43:34):
Wow, yeah, that was the but I can't think of
Mountain Standard time anything right now.
Speaker 1 (01:43:42):
This is a good one. Oh my god, thank you
very much, My god, I was banking on. Say help
me with get his last one? Utah Colorado?
Speaker 2 (01:43:51):
You want to give me a I'm trying to think
thirty more second, thirty more seconds?
Speaker 1 (01:43:55):
One more? Uh?
Speaker 2 (01:43:57):
Utah Colorado Mountains time zone? Three or four NHL teams
that play in the Mountain time zone.
Speaker 1 (01:44:05):
All right, I'll tell you what. We gotta wait it out. Huh.
Speaker 2 (01:44:09):
You are saved by breaking news?
Speaker 1 (01:44:13):
All right? What happened?
Speaker 2 (01:44:20):
Yatse Belanos is here interrupting our game?
Speaker 10 (01:44:23):
That was my goal.
Speaker 1 (01:44:25):
Thank you, thank you.
Speaker 7 (01:44:25):
You're welcome on that one for sure.
Speaker 9 (01:44:27):
Yes, breaking news in the NFL, the Bills and Josh
Allen have reached an agreement on a new record setting
six year, three hundred and thirty million dollar contract that
includes two hundred and fifty million guaranteed.
Speaker 1 (01:44:43):
My goodness.
Speaker 4 (01:44:45):
So the.
Speaker 2 (01:44:47):
Average annual salary does not top sixty million, that would
be six for three sixty, But that's two hundred and
fifty million dollars guaranteed.
Speaker 1 (01:44:58):
That's what that's what matters. Yes, my goodness, dosh Allen's winning, Yes, winning.
Speaker 2 (01:45:04):
Largest ever given to a player and fifty million.
Speaker 7 (01:45:08):
Largest guarantee ever given to an NFL player.
Speaker 1 (01:45:10):
Wow, m hm, he's winning on the field and field
had four years left on his deal. Wow. Yes, he
got a new stadium opening up in twenty twenty six.
That's right, man, I don't forget the game, Dan, what happened?
Speaker 2 (01:45:28):
I'll tell you what they are very we talked about
Geno Smith. We'll get back to the game and we'll
go to Manzi for some news as well. Then everybody
can cheat and look up the answer to the question. Actually, no,
we're going to give the answer. Then we're going to
go to Manzi. But you look at we talked about
Geno Smith earlier, and we're doing this with Brock Party,
we do it with Dak Prescott. But they are only
about five quarterbacks, five six quarterbacks in the NFL that
(01:45:50):
we honestly don't care what they make, you know, like
like it's we just feel it's like Patrick Mahomes. The
only reason we care about Patrick Mahmes we actually think
that he should be get paid more than.
Speaker 1 (01:46:00):
What he is.
Speaker 2 (01:46:00):
But but truly, I don't think anybody's gonna say that
Josh Allen's overpaid or Lamar Jackson is overpaid. There's a
very very you know, select group, and Josh Allen is
in that group. Dak Evert, Gino, Smith, Baker, Mayfield, Brockbirdy,
all of them, Jalen Hurts, all of them in the
group of yeah, we that we assigned that number to you.
But there's about five or six. Josh Allen's one of those.
Speaker 1 (01:46:23):
Yeah, for sure. I mean it's not about I don't
think it's about being valued or what the value is.
It's just that numbers just so astronomical. I think that's
the yep, that's the businessal reaction to it, as non
football people, all of us like here in that noise. Right.
Speaker 2 (01:46:36):
So that's a lot of money, all right, So the
breaking news Josh Allen gets a huge new deal from
the Bills, most guaranteed money ever in the NFL. But
that did not distract me from the game that we
will resume right now. All right, do you have a
third NHL team that you would like to throw in?
Speaker 12 (01:46:53):
So this is I started thinking, Oh, I don't know though, No, no, no,
you didn't. I don't know, Like I don't know because
I don't know what Canada. I don't know where they
are in Canada, because I know they can Canada could
be a mountain standard time.
Speaker 5 (01:47:08):
Also, you want to.
Speaker 1 (01:47:09):
Say the Canadians, we could see I mean, I don't
know what I'm saying Canadians. I know Toronto is all
the way to the right. That's the other size. That's
what I'm saying, all the way to the right.
Speaker 10 (01:47:19):
Okay, what do you want to say though?
Speaker 1 (01:47:20):
Okay, you want to you want to go to Montreal? Sure, okay, Kerrie's.
Speaker 14 (01:47:23):
Like, you want to go to No, don't do Montreal.
I can tell you that this question. Because Montreal is easier,
then give them so Vancouver, then give them one. I
think Vancouver might work. Actually, okay, you want to closer
to the middle, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:47:42):
All right, show me Utah. Oh there it is, yes, Utah,
I knew that one mountain time zone. Show me the
Colorado Avalanche. Yeah, there they are, and this is it
the Vancouver Canucks.
Speaker 10 (01:47:56):
But it is closer, though, it is.
Speaker 2 (01:47:58):
It's closer than Montreal. It's close. It's on the water
as further west as you could get. Calgary flames.
Speaker 5 (01:48:08):
You go, who is the other one?
Speaker 1 (01:48:10):
They had?
Speaker 13 (01:48:10):
Calgary flames and the Okay, I knew because I was
trying to think of I must bring your thinking caps one, two, three, four.
You're making this fun.
Speaker 1 (01:48:22):
They're like, oh, I knew that. I thought I knew that. Well,
tell me then if you knew it.
Speaker 7 (01:48:26):
I don't want to say Calgary because I thought it.
Speaker 10 (01:48:28):
Was in the like specific because I have family in Calgary.
Speaker 2 (01:48:31):
And I love the things we learned from these Like
she's like, what, I don't know if Canada even has
the same time zone.
Speaker 1 (01:48:36):
That's why. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:48:38):
But then I started thinking about it, was like, yeah, yeah,
I have to figure that's the tricky when I got
a degreen journalism guys. Come on, here's the other question
to ask you, guys, how many time zones does Canada have?
They would have to be the same amount as ours, right,
you would think, but it's not not they have because
the higher up you go, that's also massive.
Speaker 1 (01:49:00):
Yeah they have well we have what we have four?
Speaker 10 (01:49:04):
We have four?
Speaker 4 (01:49:04):
I think they have six?
Speaker 1 (01:49:05):
That is correct? Correct?
Speaker 2 (01:49:09):
They actually have Atlantic time zone. And then there's a
part of like Newfoundland that.
Speaker 1 (01:49:13):
Newfoundland, yes goes that's.
Speaker 2 (01:49:16):
That's thirty minutes ahead. It's it's weird, like right, now
it's four thirty eight, it would be five.
Speaker 1 (01:49:23):
Yeah, exactly. Really that's what it would be. Smart. Okay,
So that was the case man. Because of that and
that impressive you know thing that Mary just put out there,
I think you should give me the extra point for
that as well.
Speaker 5 (01:49:35):
It was impressive.
Speaker 1 (01:49:36):
That was pretty good.
Speaker 2 (01:49:37):
Negative points for saying Montreal in the first place. But
I just knew you wanted to get.
Speaker 4 (01:49:41):
It over it.
Speaker 10 (01:49:41):
I know that one. For I was like, I camp
because I know that's close to Toronto.
Speaker 2 (01:49:44):
All right, here's the deal, Manzi's got the news. Let's
quick go to her. We're going to finish the game.
On the other side, we've got the Josh Allen breaking news.
Other deals getting done in the NFL. Uh, Manzi, just
give us what you need.
Speaker 7 (01:49:57):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:49:57):
In case you missed it, Josh Allen and the Bill
have reached a new record setting six year, three hundred
and thirty million dollar contract that includes two hundred and
fifty million guaranteed, the largest guarantee ever given to an
NFL player.
Speaker 1 (01:50:10):
You go, Josh Allen wide.
Speaker 7 (01:50:12):
Receiver Davonte Adams.
Speaker 9 (01:50:13):
He's headed to the La Rams on a two year
deal worth forty six million with twenty six million guaranteed.
Speaker 10 (01:50:18):
Not the same.
Speaker 9 (01:50:18):
A Brown Star pass rusher Miles Garrett has agreed to
a four year, one hundred and sixty million dollar extension,
making him the highest paid non quarterback in NFL history.
Aaron Jones resigning with the Vikings on a two year,
twenty million dollar deal.
Speaker 7 (01:50:30):
Let's move on here to the NBA.
Speaker 9 (01:50:32):
There is one game currently going on if you care,
Grizzlies and Pelicans.
Speaker 7 (01:50:36):
Pelicans are edging the.
Speaker 9 (01:50:38):
Grizzlies twenty seven to twenty six after the first quarter.
OKC has won seven in a row. They topped the
Nuggets won twenty seven to one oh three. In men's
college hoops, High Point Lipsco lips Comb, I hate that word.
You guys and Drake have all punched their ticket to
the NCAA Tournament and High Point is going for the
first time ever. In the NHL, the Capitals outscore the
(01:50:58):
crack in forty two. Alexovechki scored goal number eight hundred
and eighty six, nine away from breaking winning Gretzky's record.
Russell Henley has won the Arnold Palmer Invitational at eleven
under part overall and in baseball, Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez
will undergo surgery on his broken left wrists.
Speaker 7 (01:51:15):
He's going to miss six to eight weeks. Okay, back
to you guys, all.
Speaker 2 (01:51:18):
Right, thank you very Muchmansi Belanios If I can, I
do want to talk about this Josh Allen stuff, and
I almost feel like doing the game would just kind
of take up some of that time. Can I just
quick throw the last question at you and then we'll
talk more about Josh Allen on the other side. The
final question was named four or five NBA teams with
(01:51:38):
the lowest winning percentage in an eighty two game single season.
So the worst teams that would that would have a season?
Do you know four of the five teams that had
the worst seasons ever?
Speaker 11 (01:51:49):
I would say the Pistons okay, the Hornets okay, the
Pelicans okay, and I would say the Wizards okay.
Speaker 1 (01:52:04):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:52:05):
I'm so glad we did it like this because you
would have been over four. The seventy six ers twice
have had the worst record in the NBA. They actually
have the worst record of all time. They were nine
and seventy three. In nineteen seventy three, they were ten
and seventy two and twenty sixteen. The Mavericks in nineteen
ninety three, I remember because Jim Jackson rookie year, held
out for most of the year. They went eleven and
(01:52:26):
seventy one. Nuggets went eleven and seventy one in nineteen
ninety eight, the Clippers Manzi's Clippers went twelve and seventy
in nineteen eighty seven, and the Brooklyn Nets went twenty
in twenty ten, went twelve seventy as well.
Speaker 10 (01:52:39):
Oh for four.
Speaker 2 (01:52:40):
I've never done that. That's crazy. Yeah, but it really
wasn't even a real question. So we'll just move on
from that. Josh Allen gets paid. What it means for
him and the Bills and the rest of the NFL,
we'll tell you next year. He's Carrier Roads. I'm Dan Byer.
This is Fox Sports Sunday Apropos. It's all about the
Benjamins for Josh Allen. He is Carrie Rhodes. I'm Dan Byer.
(01:53:03):

I'm gonna be honest about this. Josh Allen stuff. Oh boy,
(01:53:25):
here we go. Just happening. Now we have another we
have breaking news. Yes, well what happened? And I know
we've got different stuff happening. Mary, give me the breaking
news sounder if you will. If you can, Mary, I'm
(01:53:47):
gonna do this because we're in a transition point at
our news desk right now. The Seattle Seahawks are trading
DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers. This according to the
NFL Network. So the Pittsburgh Steelers are acquiring DK Metcalf.
The return in compensation is not known. Second round pick
(01:54:10):
now from Tom Pelasero. Second round pick in twenty twenty
five for DK Metcalf, who will get a new five year,
one hundred and fifty five one hundred and fifty million
dollar contract with the Steelers.
Speaker 1 (01:54:23):
Wow, that coming in.
Speaker 2 (01:54:25):
Right now, thirty so he can get He's getting third
thirty three million dollars in new money average makes it
the largest deal in Steeler's history.
Speaker 1 (01:54:35):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:54:36):
Now, who's going to wear number fourteen if it's he
and George Pickens.
Speaker 1 (01:54:40):
Oh, you know Pickings is winning fourteen. There's no question
about this.
Speaker 2 (01:54:44):
Is what I was going to say about the Josh
Allen deal, and I just my take on it again
is what I told you ten minutes ago. There are
six quarterbacks, five or six quarterback handful of quarterbacks where
we don't care what they're paid. So the so the
Bills in doing this are taking care of their quarterback,
even with four years left on his deal, they're taking
care of them. You could probably do this every I
(01:55:05):
don't know, two or three years however you wanted to,
if you wanted to catch up Josh Allen. But it
doesn't change the fact that Josh Allen's the quarterback of
the Bills, and Josh Allen needs more help around him,
I think on the defensive side of the of the football.
So I think like a DK Metcalf move or Miles
Garrett is completely doing a one point eighty and saying
(01:55:26):
he wanted to trade and now is back in Cleveland
on that monster deal. That to me is way bigger
news than Josh Allen just going back to the Bills
and getting mucho dollars.
Speaker 1 (01:55:38):
I agree. I think that's quarterback is going to get paid.
Like you said, those top guys, they're going to break
records every year. So next year or this year, if
Patrick Mahomes gets a deal, that's going to be right
there with Josh Allen or more right like, that's gonna happen.
It's part of it. And I don't think we're surprised.
I just think we're surprised by the dollar amount obviously
as casuals all of us. But yeah, I mean the
(01:56:01):
Males Garrett one is one that blows my mind because
it's a non quarterback player and anybody outside of that.
Usually the numbers are pretty pretty decent for the team
as well. When it comes to down. Even if the
numbers seen tie, it's still friendly for the team. The
Males garretin wasn't.
Speaker 4 (01:56:18):
It was not.
Speaker 2 (01:56:19):
Now let me ask you this, DK Metcalf just traded
by the Seahawks to the Steelers. If you're Pittsburgh, do
you now lean Russell Wilson coming back next season knowing
that he is familiar with DK Metcalf.
Speaker 1 (01:56:33):
Wow, that's a good, good question. And I don't know.
It seems like they've been off that train for a while.
I feel so well, but I don't know they've.
Speaker 2 (01:56:43):
They have been from every report that I have heard
from Pittsburgh is that they have been in contact with
Justin Fields and Russell Wilson and that they would like
to bring one of the two back, and it wasn't
going to be both, but it wasn't going to be
none of them. It felt like one of them was
going to be back. And I think that we felt,
on what a bad season end of the season it
(01:57:05):
was for Pittsburgh that maybe the thing was to do
what you thought all along is maybe stick with Justin
Fields and do it in twenty twenty five. But now
you're giving up a second round pick to bring in
someone like DK Metcalf that again has a rapport with
Russell Wilson from their time playing together in Seattle. I mean,
I think this checks a couple of boxes that maybe
(01:57:25):
it's more likely Russell Wilson does return to Pittsburgh, maybe
as well on a friendlier price, considering he's not going
to go back to Seattle, meaning Russell Wilson, like that's
not going to happen, and we know that the Raiders
he's not going to be going back to the Raiders
because now they've got Geno smare going to the Raiders.
They've got Geno Smith, so now these other spots are
kind of drying up. I think, if anything, it's better
(01:57:48):
news for Russell Wilson going back to Pittsburgh. I don't
know if Steeler fans are happy with that.
Speaker 1 (01:57:52):
Yeah, you might be right on that. And obviously there's
also rumblings of Justin Fields to the Jets as well
and stuff like that. So, like I said, probably makes sense.
Speaker 2 (01:58:00):
That makes more sense to me because of what I
think that they could do with Bryce Hall and Brayleen
Allen and yeah, and maybe what Aaron Glenn wants to
do and not that solid didn't want to have a
defensive team, but you needed help from the offense. Not
at least you have a fresh start, all right, let's
build on our defense and let's have the offense be
able to run the football and do those things.
Speaker 1 (01:58:22):
And Justin Fields has rapport with Garrol Wilson as well. Yes, absolutely, yeah,
time at Ohio State.
Speaker 2 (01:58:29):
He is carry roads.
Speaker 1 (01:58:30):
I'm Dan Byer.
Speaker 2 (01:58:31):
So within this three hour show, we found out DeVante
Adams is going to the Rams.
Speaker 1 (01:58:36):
We just told you.
Speaker 2 (01:58:36):
DK Metcalf was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a
second round pick going to Seattle. Josh Allen gets a
record setting deal where he gets two hundred and fifty
million dollars guaranteed. Also with the Seahawks. Ernest Jones is
back with them. Patriots are signing Harold Landry, Aaron Jones
is back to the Vikings.
Speaker 1 (01:58:55):
Devonte Adams Yeah, yeah, right, that was right off. But
it just keeps on.
Speaker 2 (01:58:59):
Yeah, it's it's and it's gonna keep it that way.
That's why you gotta keep it here unlocked, locked on Fox.
He's carry Roads. I'm Dan Byer the NFL. There is
no offseason as crazy as it can be. Enjoy the madness.
We'll talk to you next time on Fox Sports Sunday
