Speaker 1 (00:00):
I have to have better stop.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
From the beginning, Jonas Knocks, you thought you knew me.
You didn't know a thing about me.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
He's crazier than a else.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Wrecked that guy, Jonas Knocks, you heard me.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Friends of Darkness is lighting up your speakers to establish
an alibi for the day. From the tirag dot com
Fox Sports Radio Studios, here's Jonas Knox.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Yep, Okay, I'll be part of this world.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
You know, sometimes you wish that certain perks that come
with technology could be implemented in real life. I'll explain
why coming up here in just a couple of moments.

The way tire buying should be. So I've admitted this
on the air one time. It's really, you know, embarrassing.
And obviously we've got the NBA Playoffs tipping off an underway,
and you've got the bucks and the pacers and all that.
You've had some playing games and whatnot, But like I've
(01:51):
admitted this on the air before, it was really embarrassing.
I was reading something like a magazine, like like an
actual like not something on your phone, like an actual
physical thing, and I caught myself because I was trying
to zoom in on a picture with my fingers, and
(02:18):
I was like, what are you doing, dummy, Like, what
are you doing? This is not your phone, right, This
is not an article that you're trying to get a
better glimpse of. It's not a Whar's waldo on Instagram
and you can zoom in and find like, no, that's
not what this is. But the point was it was
not a great picture. I wanted to be able to
(02:41):
get a better view and get a better look at it,
and I couldn't because I didn't have that part of
technology with me in real life. You know, it's one
of the perks that come with technology. One of the
other perks that comes with technology is the ability to
fast forward. Like you fast forward anything. I mean anything.
(03:02):
You're listening to the podcast right now, you got f
this guy, I'm in a fast That's fine. I wouldn't
recommend it, but that's fine. But it gives you the
ability you can just kind of skip ahead to things,
watching something a movie and not really a big kind
of skip ahead if you want to, like, you have
that control. And I say all that to say this,
(03:26):
if the NBA wanted to really like cater to the fans,
you would give us the ability to fast forward through
the first round of the NBA playoffs, Like if you
could just do that or listen, I'll meet you halfway.
(03:47):
If you could just get to like the final three
games of a series, like get to like games five, six,
seven in the first round, I think it would be
better for everybody involved. And I'm not saying that to
be a smart ass. I'm being honest. Man. Like you
(04:09):
saw last night in the heat Hawks game, what it
looks like when you put somebody on the brink in
a one game situation. We know the NBA is never
going to go to a one game playoff in each series, Like,
we know that it's never gonna happen. There's too much
TV money, all that stuff. But as far as the
(04:32):
better product, it's when you put them on the brink,
when it's a winner go home situation, a must win
to advance situation, what like that. That's when the NBA
is at its best. And it played out last night.
Look the Miami heater a ten seed? What are there
(04:57):
fifteen in the conference? Like, they're not going anywhere? Jimmy
Butler's gone there happy like they're not going anywhere. What
are we talking about here? I mean, the Grizzlies advanced, Really,
where are they going? John Morant had to get shot
up with so much tortal he couldn't feel his leg.
(05:20):
But you put them on the brink, you put them
in a one game situation, next thing, you know, Okay,
all right, now we've got something here, Like now we've
got an actual entertaining, exciting game where people are laying
it all out there. You're gonna watch throughout the course
of the first round of the playoffs, a team's gonna
(05:41):
get down by fifteen or twenty at some point and
just be like, man, what's the point second half? We'll
get him next time. We got lots of time to
work with here. And I'm watching these games last night
in comparison to this one today, and these are better
teams that might actually do something in the playoffs. I'm like, yeah,
but you know what, there's something about that one game situation.
(06:04):
There's something about the NCAA tournament. There's something about the
NFL playoffs. There is something about it. I'll give the
NBA credit. I've said this a million times before, that
you get the best team as you're champion every single time. Yeah,
there's injuries, there's all that stuff, but that's part of
the deal. It's a war of attrition. But man, if
(06:26):
they could just offer up some way, some ability, and
I'm talking about, hey, pose it and then go back
and watch it later. No, no, no, no, I'm talking about
it in real time. If you could get with Grock
or chat GPT or some of these people out there
that are trying to fix things and solve problems, if
you could solve that problem, you'd really be doing something.
(06:47):
I'm telling you, we've all been there. You're not trying
to be disrespectful, but we've all been there. You've been
stuck at a wedding and the speeches are going and
way too long, and you're looking around and you're thinking
inside while you're smiling, like, oh, isn't this nice? Everybody
looks great? Isn't this awesome? That's cool that this is wonderful?
(07:09):
Can we drink yet? Please? Can we get to the
good stuff? You watch the NBA, You're just hoping they
get to the good stuff sooner rather than later. Jonas
Knox here Fox Sports Radio at the Jonas Knocks on
X at the Jonas Knox on X. All right, by
the way, speaking of weddings, well, wedding that didn't happen,
(07:30):
but maybe should have. There's a great movie, one of
my favorite comedies of all time. It's called Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
It's fantastic. It's fantastic, and what really makes the movie
is the fact that you got this guy who's broken
hearted about his girl leaving him, and he says, you
(07:52):
know what, I just got to get out of town.
I just got to get out of town. I don't
want to be here anymore. I'm just gonna go to
Hawaii by myself. Yes, it seems like I'm a bit
of a loser because I'm by myself and all that stuff,
but you know what, I just got to get away
from her entirely. And then lo and behold, he ends
up there and he finds out she's also there and
she's dating a rock star and that's who she left
(08:13):
him for. It's like, no matter where he turns, he
can't get rid of her. And I'll be honest with you, man,
I feel bad for Joe Shane because he's living his
own version of forgetting Saquon Barkley and it's not ending
anytime soon, and in fact is the why. It's every
(08:38):
other team in the NFL that looks at what happened
between him and Saquon Barkley and that organization at Saquon
Barkley and what happened with him winning a Super Bowl
as the Oh yeah, so that's not what to do.
You don't do that. There's your reminder, and it's not
going away anytime soon. Case in point, when brand New
(08:58):
Raiders GM John Spytech was speaking with the media about, well,
you know, would you take Ashton genty, would you take
him at number six overall if he was there. Let's
take a listen.
Speaker 4 (09:12):
We just saw Saquon Barkley just changed the Eagles in
one year. Now they had a great team around him,
and you know it was adding an elite player. And
I think when you sit where we said, I mean,
the idea is to add elite players at any position,
and I don't try to devalue any certain position. I
mean there's times in games where there's there's nobody you'd
rather have than the best kicker in the league, too, right,
(09:33):
I mean in that moment. So there's certain ways to
build a team, and I just I don't know where
we got to a place where we don't feel like
running backs are valued. When I come from the University
of Michigan, it's in my core, and those guys were
certainly really valued there. So it's hard for me to
get away from that.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
Joe Shank Frun sitting there going, man, can we just
like what do we gotta do?
Speaker 5 (09:53):
Like?
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Can we have him back? Can we just get him back?
So I can stop being reminded constantly about what with
that was and listen to Spytex's point. Look, there was
a lot of talent in Philadelphia there was a lot like, hey,
it was the perfect fit. It worked out brilliantly for
everybody involved. Nearly a historic season, over two thousand yards.
(10:17):
They won a super Bowl going away, not even close,
best player in the league like all that. Listen. But
if you're Joe Shane, you're looking at this going, man,
I like, what do we can I just And the
reality is no, that's gonna be the lasting memory of
(10:38):
his time in New York, just like Nico Harrison's lasting
memory of his time in Dallas is gonna be, oh yeah,
that's the guy who traded away Luca. Now this isn't
as bad, but what makes it kind of on par
is the fact that he left, He went to your
art rival, he won a super Bowl and then got
(11:01):
extended afterwards like it. And it's not like there was
a giant gap in the money or anything at all.
He was there, he wanted to be there. You couldn't
get rid of him fast enough. Now he's gone, and
it played out on national television on hard Knocks. So
(11:24):
if you're Joe Shane, the draft can't get here fast enough,
next season can't get here fast enough, and you just
got to hope that whatever your answer is at running back, quarterback, whatever,
take at Duel Carter, whoever the best player on the
board is take that guy and try and move forward.
Because right now he tried to get out of town.
He hopped on a plane. He figured, Hey, the drafts here,
(11:45):
we can just focus on other things. And now everybody
is looking back on his decision at the running back
spot as the what not to do. So it's not
forgetting Sarah Marshall, it's forgetting Sakuon Barkley and John Spytech
with a friendly little reminder of, Hey, Joe Shane, you
guys kind of butchered that last year. Jonas Knox here

minutes from now interesting comments from one player in the

but we'll get into that for you again a little

the Aaron Rodgers interview he did with Pat McAfee on
(14:42):
the Pat McAfee Show starring AJ Hawk that took place
a couple of days ago that are the most hilarious,
you know, like there's obviously the Jets are hilarious. Like
that's but everybody knows that we've known this, We've got
you know, two decades plus where evidence that it's a
clown show and all the other stories that have come out,
(15:04):
and it's not like this just happened as a well
you know who's it falled Aaron for the way it
left or is it the Jets and all, well, no,
it's them, Like we've got examples of that. And this
is not to absolve Aaron Rodgers of any sort of
arrogance or ego that he might have or anything like that,
but it's the Jets. So you hear all the how
(15:25):
things went down is exit all that stuff, and you go, Okay,
makes sense. It's New York. It's the Jets. That's how
they operate. We got it. The other part of this
that is a bit hilarious to me is that there's
been some people who have taken that interview as an
indication as to why you wouldn't want any part of
(15:48):
Aaron Rodgers moving forward, like that was the interview, that
was the way, like that interview he did, Like that's
that's exhibit A why if your team is interested in
Aaron Rodgers you should run. You don't want any part
of him like that. I've seen that out there, and
(16:10):
I see this story come out from Mike Florio Pro
Football Talk that they did a poll, like some sort
of a Twitter poll or something like that, where you know,
do Steeler fans you know, do you want Aaron Rodgers
next year? Do you not? And like I guess, a
month ago, it was like fifty nine percent said no,
and now it's up to seventy percent after the interview.
(16:32):
And I'm looking at that going, dude, what other options
do you have if you're Pittsburgh. Unless look, unless the
Steelers are like, hey man, we're going to draft a guy.
We're gonna try and get aggressive in the draft. We're
gonna hopefully shod Or Sanders is there, and Jackson Dart
(16:54):
is there, Mason Rudolph will be the veteran in the room,
and that's the direction we're going to go. Unless that
that's the case. Okay, I got you all good. But
the idea that the Steelers and certain members of their
fan base are like, oh god, we don't need Rogers. No,
you absolutely do. Yes, you do, yeah, you do. Like
(17:18):
that's not you do need them. It's like it's like
a guy who's like just leaking blood. It's like I
don't need a doctor. No, you kind of do. Actually,
you're starting to turn different colors and there's something leaking
out of your body that you need to live like
you absolutely do. Yeah, you do, and in fact, not
(17:39):
only do you, you need it right now. They're not in
a position to turn down the opportunity for Aaron Rodgers.
They're just not unless there's a plan that they have
to rebuild and go young at quarterback. And if that's
the case, they would have already made that be known.
(18:02):
If that was the case, they would have seen to
it that Justin Fields didn't get out the door. Which
is also the other hilarious part about all this stuff,
how that stuff sort of intertwines that, Like the Jets
are like, oh, we're going in a different direction at quarterback,
it's like, oh, yeah, who's your direction at quarterback? We're
going to go with Justin Fields. He last played with
(18:24):
the Steelers. Okay, but the Steelers are going to take
the guy you last had because they feel he's better
than It's okay, all right, But the Steelers are looking
around as if they've got and Steeler fans, some of them,
if these numbers are true, are looking around going, oh,
we got plenty of better options. No you don't. Who
(18:46):
you just don't. And I'm not going to sit here
and try and claim that, you know, Rogers is the
same player he was when he was winning MVPs a
couple or a few years ago, and I'll like, not
at all. But if you actually watched last year, as
the season went on, he got better and he got better,
and he got better, and then all of a sudden,
the season's over and you look at his numbers and
(19:07):
you look at everything and go, yeah, that wasn't all
that bad, really, And so if he needs time to
figure out his personal life or figure out whatever's going on,
that that's fine. I think if he was so enamored
with Pittsburgh, the move would have already been made. Personally,
(19:27):
I think there's probably still some questions there. Maybe he
looks at Pittsburgh and he's like, listen, man, I got
a little bit of trauma from my last stop. I
don't know if you know this or not. There's a
circus tent in New Jersey. It's called the Jets. Like
I just got out of there, like I've you know,
I've still got you know, whoopy cushions being thrown at me,
(19:48):
and you know, people riding around on unicycles, juggling bowling pins, like, I,
you know, I just want to know that we're on
the same page here. So if we get to the draft,
you don't take a quarterback early on in the draft,
and I know that I'm the guy, I'm ready to go.
Maybe that's what it is. Maybe he just wants reassurance
(20:10):
that he's going to be the guy, at least for
a year. But this idea that Steeler fans and people
in Pittsburgh are like, Oh no, man, we don't need him,
We don't. Yes, you do, like you do? Otherwise, what's
the plan? What are you going to do if you're
(20:34):
really committed to Hey, the windows still open. We still
think we can be a contender. We still think we
can be a playoff team. We still think we can
make a run. He's your best choice outside of some
sort of a crazy deal or anything. Like, he's your
best choice sometimes, like, look, you may not like your
situation because it ain't all that great, but it's the
(20:57):
best you got. I'm sorry. I can remember being dead broke,
first job in radio. Do you know how sick and
tired I was of walking to kmart to get a
five dollars pizza, a five dollars large pizza and having
(21:22):
to eat that half at lunch half at dinner. Like
I got tired of it. The pizza wasn't good, and
I was sick and tired of walking to kmart. I
was just tired of him. But you know what, it
was the best option I had got me through. It's fine,
Like the Steelers are looking around and you got people
portions of the fan base are like, god, well, we
(21:44):
don't want anything to do with him, Okay, all right,
Well I guess you don't want anything to do with
the playoffs either, and this just in been a little
while since you won one of those, so they're not
really in a position to turn down the opportunity to
say we're not waiting around for Aaron Rodgers. No, you
should wait around for him because he's the best thing
(22:05):
you got and he's the best option available at the
Jonas Knox on X at the Jonas Knox on X
and you can hang out with us as always on
the iHeartRadio app. By the way, you can also follow
along on the brand new Instagram page at Jonas Knox Show.
Not not my name, not Jonas Knox, I don't even
check that one. At Jonas Knox Show, we will put
up all sorts of content from the show throughout the
(22:26):
course of the week, with two pros and a cup
of Joe on this show as well too, we'll post
the insulting tweets that get sent in every week. All
of that is yours at Jonas Knox Show on Instagram.
Coming up next here though, apparently somebody is trying a
new approach, a new approach, you know, some criticism, if
you will, some judging, if you will, of a fellow
(22:49):
NFL player. We're going to get into that for you
here on FSR. But for all the latest from around
the world of sports. A man who does not judge,
but if he wanted to, he's got every right. He's
the one, He's the only, He's the magnificent Sir Isaac Long.
Speaker 6 (23:07):
And we begin Jonas with a kmart five dollars pizza update. Yeah,
this anecdote about your early days in this wacky business
of let me down an internet rabbit hole, and would
you believe, all those years later, the price has only
(23:28):
gone up to six dollars.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
However, there's a catch.
Speaker 6 (23:34):
It's only on Fridays and it's only at a kmart
in Guam, so you can relive your cheap pizza past,
but I'm afraid you'll have to go to Guam to
do it.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
Rabbit Outmar's popular sports talk radio loos on the Island
of Guam is Jonas Knox.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
All right, so now, I mean that's a fact. By
the way, we did we did research and studies on that,
and you know, people did did confirm that that is
the number one show on the island of Guam. Isaac.
If you look this up, there was a kmart in
I believe it was in North Charleston, South Carolina. All right,
Camart or Charleston. I love it.
Speaker 6 (24:18):
Other people around here think I'm literally Google. I mean you,
I mean there's probably some people. Oh god, I have
bad news. Permanently closed. No you closed it down. Are
we talking about eight five seven to one Rivers Avenue?
Oh yeah, permanently closed?
Speaker 2 (24:32):
No, man, I mean up the roadman, I walked you
take these back roads to get there, and I would
walk over because I didn't want to spend gas money.
And I would walk over and I would get a
five dollars pizza from there, and that would be my
lunch and dinner.
Speaker 6 (24:48):
That should be a National Historical landmark because that's where
you started, and we have some additional details on the
North Charleston, CA. First of all, good job of you
keeping in touch with your roots. It actually closed back
in twenty seventeen, so good job staying true to where
(25:10):
you came from. It is also, as of a year ago,
still standing but abandoned. In fact, z Man on YouTube
posted a video in which he videoed himself walking around
the abandoned, gutted kmart in North Charleston, South Carolina. So
you're gonna want to check that out. I'm sure it'll
(25:31):
bring back great memories.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
I'll say this as somebody who grew up going to
kmarts as a kid. There was another kmart that was
torn down out in a thousand oaks out here, and
we used to go there with my mom all the time.
And I remember it like a couple of things stuck
out to me about that Camart. One it always smelled
fantastic inside because they made their own popcorn and they
(25:55):
had hot dogs. Now I don't remember either of them
being any good, but it just smelled good, which sometimes
all you need. I mean, when you're a kid, that
sort of thing. Absolutely we'll smell good because you don't
have a frame of reference. Yeah, like it like the
insights don't have to be good as long as it
smells good. It's listen, I don't care if you're homeless.
You wear in colone like sometimes it's all you need.
(26:18):
And you walked into that kmart and it was like, man,
I don't know if that food's good, but it smells delicious.
I remember that. I also remember do you remember Brittannia jeans?
You remember those back? I haven't thought about those in years. Yeah,
Brittania jeans. And there was also the mechanical horses out
in front of the store that you put a quarter
in and ride the mechanical horses, which, by the way,
(26:40):
I'm not trying to accuse anybody of starting COVID, but
that would be a good place to start if somebody did,
now that I think about it.
Speaker 6 (26:47):
As were filthy every time I caught a cold or
had the flu as a kid.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
It was shortly thereafter. They also had them out in
front of supermarkets by the way. By the way, I
was more of a fedcoat and Gemcoke. Do you remember
those two fine establishments? I do not. No, Yeah, well,
I mean, but that's the difference between you and I
you grew up. Well, if ye I did not, you know,
it's all relative.
Speaker 6 (27:11):
Let's put it that way, okay, And you have closed
the gap considerably, I suppose. Speaking of closing the gap,
how about that transition, the Milwaukee Bucks not doing that
in Game one of the NBA Playoffs, nine minutes and
fifteen seconds left to play on the third quarter of
Game one, they trailed the Indiana Pacers seventy one to
forty seven. Pacers shooting started hot and has not cooled
(27:33):
off sixty percent from the field. They've made seven three pointers.
They are led in scoring by Andrew Nemhard with seventeen.
Pascal Siakam has fourteen. Milwaukee's YadA sent On Tetokumpo twenty
one points on eight of thirteen from the field. The
rest of his teammates have combined but have combined for
twenty six points on ten of thirty two shooting from
(27:55):
the field. Stanley Cup playoffs get underway at six pm Eastern.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
The Winnipeg Jets, we had the best record in the
league this season, host the Saint Louis Blues. Meanwhile, the
New York Rangers.
Speaker 6 (28:03):
Today fired head coach Peter Laviolette after two seasons. The
Anaheim Dutch today fired head coach Greg Cronin after two
seasons baseball. The Phillies up seven to one over the Marlins.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
In the top half of the fifth inning, the Tigers
not a three run home run by Spencer Torkelsen is
seventh of the year, lead the Royals three nothing. After
six Arizona's Corby and Carroll let off with a home run.
Speaker 6 (28:23):
At Wrigley today, Diamondbacks have a one nothing lead over
the Cubs and the bottom of the first inning. Finally, Jonas,
I know we like to joke around a lot around here,
but for once, can you just kind of hold yourself
back because this is a this final item is a
very serious story, and I am, above all else a
journalist here, so let's have some professional decorum for once, please, Yeah, Okay.
(28:45):
Last night in Major League Baseball, despite a two to
nothing lost to the Angels, San Francisco Giants pitcher Logan
Webb had a strong performance twelve strikeouts, no walks in
six innings. After the game, Webb was speaking with reporters
in the Giants clubhouse when someone nearby experienced what I
will delicately describe as intestinal distress.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
Listen closely about.
Speaker 3 (29:09):
Guard Gum and consoler for at least four ubbings.
Speaker 5 (29:12):
With sorry, I'm sorry, sorry, because sports are always funny.
I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
Logan Webb speaking for all of us, back to you, Jonas,
I mean, you know, if you're gonna let it fly,
let it fly. I mean some people would walk out
of the room. Some people just let it, let it
waft uh and let everyone else enjoy it. I mean,
now do they do? We know who that was that
(29:42):
that let it let it fly?
Speaker 6 (29:43):
Their Isaac, well the other uh you know, typically are
guidelines for making such important uh determinations whoever smelt it
dealt it. But Fox Sports Radio is actually launching, through
its vast journalistic resources, an investigation onto who the culprit
(30:06):
was in the Giants clubhouse as we continue to effort
that story.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
By the way, for those of you wondering, why is
you talking about that right now, I don't know. Once
you blame the NBA, get more interesting matchups? Nine works
rout why that's the truth. Yeah, I mean, I mean,
I mean, think you know what.
Speaker 6 (30:23):
I like to find out who who was the one
who did that? I'll send him a fruit basket for
giving us great contents back to you.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
I'm with you, Thank you, Isaac. It is Jonas Knox
here on Fox Sports Radio. By the way, coming up
in about ten minutes from now here, we are going
to have another edition of Do You Care? All sorts
of upbeat, positive conversation here on the show that you've
been force fed throughout the course of the week. That'll
be yours here now. One thing that I was told
in regards to farts that Isaac brought up is I
(30:53):
was always told, you don't cut a fart in church
ever ever, it's disrespectful. Don't do it disrespectful. I told
my son that, all right, like I let it be known.
Has it been successful? You know, we're working at about
(31:13):
a sixty five percent clip right now, hoping to hoping
to get to one hundred, so we're right around the
corner from that. But that was one thing I was
always told a distant don't fart in church. Don't do that,
it's disrespectful. I was also told you don't discuss another
player's contract publicly. Apparently Puka Nakua he really didn't get
(31:39):
that memo. That wasn't really something that he was told
growing up or something that he was has discovered throughout
the first couple of years of his NFL career because
he was on the Games with Names podcasts with Julian Edelman,
and he spoke about Rock Purty potentially getting fifty million
dollars a year. Perty is he gonna get a five?
(32:00):
So do you think he's gonna go with a four?
He's gonna start with a four?
Speaker 5 (32:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (32:04):
High four? Mm No, I think mid for forty five,
I think so. I mean, I think if he does that,
that'd be smart for him and them. Yeah, I mean,
I think he's he seems like a smart guy. I
think he like there's still they have a chance to
still be in their window. And I think if if
he goes for a five, that the window closes. I
(32:28):
mean why not? Yeah, Like, listen, I was told don't
fart in church. I was also told don't pocket watch,
you know, don't don't worry about somebody else's pocket That's
what I was told. Now, like, I can assure you
I'm not gonna sit here and break down what Rob
(32:52):
Parker deserves in his next contract. Otherwise, Hey, listen, man,
they could be in some trouble Rob Parker. It's not
my business. And by the way, I can tell you
what's in Rob's pocket, was hot a bunch of receipts. Okay,
he's got a bunch of receipts so he can return stuff.
I'm the pooh poop king. But Pooka Naku is like, Noah,
(33:16):
listen man whatever, Like you pay that guy that much money,
you're gonna close the window on him. And I just
want to listen. I wonder if at some point somebody's
gonna pull them aside and say, hey, man, don't do that. Yeah,
don't listen. Yeah, just you know, like maybe don't be
so honest. Maybe take that approach. Maybe next time, just
don't be so honest. And that way we're not having
to worry about being asked about this the next time
(33:38):
we play them, which is, oh, by the way, twice
a year now. To his point, and I've said this before,
it's not like the Niners have to pay brock Party now.
They can't let this thing play out a little bit.
They can. They can let it go into next season.
He can play for the five million dollars in change,
and maybe he'd hold out, maybe he wouldn't, And then
afterwards you address the situation, or you franchise tag him
(33:59):
so they don't you have to get it done this offseason.
The feeling is you would do it sooner rather than later.
Else is going to get more expensive. But you don't
have to do it, and maybe you do keep that
window open. But apparently, long story short, when you were
told don't worry about somebody else's money, don't pocket watch
Pooka Nakoua apparently was not told that. Just so we're clear.
(34:24):

Speaker 1 (36:16):
There are so many stories in the world of sports,
and most of them are a complete waste.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
Of time DMS reports.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
Let's get kinky. Here's some of the big stories from
the last week. But Jonas, the real question is do
you care?
Speaker 2 (36:31):
And for that we turn it over to our executive
producer Bo Benson to find out what the hell people
have been talking about.
Speaker 7 (36:36):
Bo, Jonah's just a small appetizer before we really get
into it. Do you care about this NBA TV series
between the Pacers and the Bucks? Or oh god no, yeah, no,
me neither.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
Yeah, listen, there always is in the first round, it's
always the Pacers.
Speaker 3 (36:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:54):
Look, I'm not trying to be disrespectful, all right, to
the great City of Indianapolis, but your team is featured
quite often, really early on. It's like the Texans always
are the first wild card game. The Houston Texans are
always the first wild card game. It's that Saturday, like
one pm Eastern time game every year. In the playoffs,
(37:15):
like the Indiana Pacers are the de facto Houston Texans
of the NBA. Let's go live to I have a
thought on this insider Chris Prefet for the latest Chris,
you know what the nickname of Indianapolis is? What's that?
The nappy? You know why it's called that? Why is that?
Because we're all asleep when the Pacers play? Okay, there
you go, there you go. That is Chris Prefet. Everybody
(37:37):
you can. You can see him and Rob Parker performing
AGA on sunset at an open mic near you. That's right,
as as he's feeling good about himself because the Pistons
are back in the post. That's right man.
Speaker 7 (37:50):
The Browns general manager Andrew Berry he he appears open
to allowing Travis Hunter to play both corner and wide
receiver in the NFL, likening his two way value to
that of Shoheo Tani new Dad. Congratulations to him, Jonas,
do you care?
Speaker 2 (38:06):
Yeah? Look, I think it makes the Browns that much
more interesting. They can kind of rid themselves of the
Deshaun Watson conversation that is sort of hanging over the franchise,
you know, like a neon light at a massageless or
at ane, you know what I mean. But the point
is they should just rid themselves of the conversation. Travis
Hunter gets there and now all eyes are on how
(38:26):
do they utilize him? Is he going to be a
wide receiver a dB? Is he going to be both?
How much does he play? It'll be fun to watch
and that seems like, based on the betting odds, where
he's gonna end up.
Speaker 7 (38:36):
Next, Olmos quarterback Jackson Dart will no longer be in
the green room attending the NFL Draft on Thursday. Jonas,
do you care?
Speaker 2 (38:44):
Oh god, no, no, I don't care. Yes, So we
did a draft during COVID and Belichick's dog was making picks,
like really, like, what does it matter? Just have the
thing on television. Let's watch. If you want to bet
money on it, you can. Let's hope teams get better
after this raft.
Speaker 7 (39:00):
Next Bears head coach Ben Johnson, he threw out the
first pitch at two day's Cubs game.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
Jonas, do you care? Not really? Look, everybody loves Ben Johnson.
It's great, it's wonderful they got the guy. But there's
still a lot of work to do. There's a lot
of work to do there. I will say this though
he is I legitimately a Cubs fan. He pointed that
out he always traveled to Chicago to see a series
(39:26):
every single summer, so getting it, being able to do
that and being there in the city as the coach
of the Bears probably a fun experience.
Speaker 7 (39:33):
Next, the Saint Louis Blues of the National Hockey League
made a late season playoff push in the n you know,
obviously in the NHL, powered by a figurine of Joe
bu from the nineteen eighty nine classic baseball movie Major
League Jonas, Do you care?
Speaker 2 (39:49):
Yes, yeah, I love it, not like literally the top. Like,
my son is obsessed with baseball. He's four years old.
He loves baseball, plays every day, like, cannot get enough
of it. And so I I've just started showing in
Field of Dreams. It's his favorite movie. Now he's asking
me my favorite baseball movie, and I tell a Major
League But he's not quite ready for that. He's not
(40:10):
quite ready for that. Are you telling me Jesus Christ
can't hit a curveball? You know, it's a tradition. We
got traditions on this show. It's a yearly event. We'll
get into that for you coming up here in just
a couple of moments. From now, Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio.
You can hang out with us as always on the
iHeartRadio app. You can find us on hundreds of affiliates
(40:32):
all across the country and wherever you are making us
a part of your Saturday afternoon, we appreciate you doing so.

one o'clock Pacific, and we do it all live from

free road as a protection, and over ten thousand recommended installers.
(40:54):
Tire raq dot com the way tire buying should be.
I will say this to me, I was a little
bit conflicted watching the playing game between the Grizzlies and
the Mavericks last night, because I do feel bad for
the Mavericks players, like I feel bad for Anthony Davis
(41:16):
just from the standpoint of like he's a great player,
it's just the health, the injuries, and now he's the
guy that is left to answer the questions in Dallas.
That should only be answered by Nico Harrison. He's now
the guy that everyone gives a side eye to because
(41:38):
he was the one that was traded for Luca, Like,
so he's gonna have to wear that like he was
the other guy in that trade. It's like, you know,
you look at it, you go, man. I kind of
feel bad for them because they were putting a really
bad spot by their GM. Their fan base is miserable.
Mark Cuban's miserable. But all of that pales in comparison
(42:05):
to my rooting interest for Ja Morant because all I want,
all I want is Ja Morant for at least four
games in the playoffs to see what he unveils from
a weapons standpoint. Now again, want to be clear here,
not actual weapons, but I want to see if he
(42:27):
goes grenade, which is what he's been doing, if he
goes back to the sod off, does he go blow dart,
does he go musket, does he go sling shot? Like,
I just want to know what we're going to get
from Ja Morant. All Right, everybody's got rooting interest. Everybody's
looking around going okay, well who do you like here
and what are your picks? What are the NBA Finals
(42:48):
going to look like? Let's be honest here, It's most
likely going to be either Boston Cleveland out of the East,
or it's going to be Oklahoma City slightly out of
the way. Like, so, like, what are we really talking
about here? We need things to be entertained by. And
if we can get Jahn Morant to piss off an
entire league, he's clearly not one hundred percent. They had
(43:13):
to inject him with like a dump truck full of
tourt all to even get him to play in that
game last night. But I just want some entertainment, right,
I want some entertainment. If I'm gonna have to sit
through a bunch of bad matchups and mismatches in the
first round of the NBA Playoffs, I would like some entertainment.
I don't think that's too much to ask. At the
Jonas Knox on X at the Jonas Knox and X
is where you can find us. By the way, you
(43:34):
can also follow along on the Instagram page at Jonas

Insulting tweets. There have been a couple that have been

(43:58):
that delivers. Use code Sports for a free trial at
shipstation dot com. At shipstation dot com code sports, and
be sure to tune in to Fox Sports Radio's Draft
Night Live, which is Thursday night, eight pm Eastern Time
throughout the first round of the Draft. Insider Jay Glazer,
former Jets GM Joe Douglas, college Football Hall of Famer
(44:20):
just ask him, LeVar Arrington, and Fox Sports lead college
football reporter Jenny Taft. We'll have you covered for all
thirty two picks with predictions and reactions. That's Thursday, apm
Eastern Time throughout the first round of the Draft, live
right here on Fox Sports Radio and with a live
video simulcast on the Fox Sports Radio YouTube page, brought
(44:41):
to you by Shipstation. All right, it is now time
to welcome in a yearly tradition. This man is a
full blown degenerate. He's also a Fox Sports Radio alum.
His name is Mike Mayer. He is our degenerate WWE
(45:03):
gambling insider. He is here with a WrestleMania preview and
he's got picks. You can follow along at X at
off the Mic twenty eight Mike, what's happening?
Speaker 3 (45:14):
What's happening?
Speaker 5 (45:15):
Man?
Speaker 3 (45:16):
A yearly tradition unlike any other. I always love doing
this because it means it's WrestleMania season. And as you know, man,
nothing comes into comparison when it comes to WrestleMania weekend,
and Las Vegas is going to roll out everything this weekend.
Speaker 2 (45:34):
Now, I would I would like to, you know, start though,
with some some other things that are near and dear
to your heart, you know, not the Cleveland Cavaliers, because
this is going to be a little while before they
play a meaningful game. Can we can we please talk
about your Cleveland Browns? All right? Yeah, the the clown
show in Cleveland, finally back making picks of their own
(45:56):
after giving away all those picks for your guy, Massage Watson.
Your thoughts on the Browns current state of affairs holding
the number two pick in the draft?
Speaker 3 (46:06):
My goodness, Where to begin? It has been a The
last three years have been excruciating and to be a
Browns fan for those who know, especially in the last
twenty five years, it is it is a sickness. Is
it is really a sickness, and you know it's like
almost like you know, like it's that sickness and like
(46:28):
you can't help it. Like they keep bringing you back
in with this false sense of hope, and you know,
Baker Mayfield leads them to the playoffs and all this
other things go on, and then you know, you know,
they have that playoff first, they have that season where
Baker Mayfield gets hurt. They stump all these Textsford Deshaun
Watson and you know what, he played nineteen games one
(46:51):
of the worst quarterback runs ever, and the Brown says,
you know, Jonas have had a lot of bad quarterback play.
I've seen a lot of bad quarterback play in my day.
I'm just ready to Rich did this. And what sucks
is he's still gonna be on the roster. So I'm
just glad that, you know, this is going to basically
be on Thursday to start really of a new era. Ultimately,
(47:11):
I think it's going to be Travis Hunter. I'd be
cool with Abdul Carter, but believe me, man, I just
it's been it's been really difficult, you know me, man,
like I won't like Cleveland sports teams and Browns football
is really near and dear to Cleveland sports fan the hearts,
but they always find a way and you know this
(47:32):
is a Bears fan, like, they always find a way
to just disappoint you.
Speaker 2 (47:36):
Well, like, can you be honest about something though, a right,
because you like, Browns fans now are coming out saying,
oh my god, we knew at the time. But it's like, man,
there was a lot of celebrating as well too. Uh
oh yeah, the decision, the decision to move on from
Baker Mayfield and then go out and acquire Deshaun Watson,
were you on board with that? And be honest, don't
lie to the audience here.
Speaker 3 (47:57):
I'll say this. I was on board with, you know,
moving off of Baker because it seemed like that ship
had been sailed. But I had some skepticism about Deshan.
I was excited because of what he was, but I
I didn't know that there was way more risk than
a lot of fans are willing to let on, Like
(48:18):
there was way more risk. Everybody's like, oh, he's going
to come in and the meeting. It's like, guy, he's
not going to play for like the first two thirds
of the season that he's there, So what were you
expecting was going bad?
Speaker 5 (48:30):
Like?
Speaker 3 (48:30):
I didn't expect it to get this bad? Like I expected. Hey,
they took a swing, and I admired to some degree,
you know, them taking a swing and taking a risk,
because you have to do that in order to be successful.
But doing it on this type of guy who hadn't
played in two years definitely had some drawbacks and it
went the wrong way for them. I'm not going to
(48:50):
sit here and pretend that I wasn't excited about it
because they made a quarterback move. The quarterback was really good.
I mean, they could have drafted it in twenty seventeen.
They did it. They made the tray aid, and they
tried to get better and they got burned for it.
And then the like the trade, you know, if that's
that's one thing, the contract, which they're still going to
feel for the next two years, is really the bigger issue.
(49:11):
It's like, yeah, why give a guy who hasn't played
in two years a fully guaranteed contract like that?
Speaker 5 (49:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (49:17):
Well it's it's it's the worst, the worst deal done
potentially in sports history. So through and through just a
complete mess. Mike. Here's what's not a mess. It is
a tradition. It's every single year at this time that
we check in with you because you are a full
fledged degenerate. Because it is time now for Mike Mayer's
(49:38):
WWE Degenerate Gambling preview for WrestleMania. So, Mike Mayor, we
got to now we're looking at three of the top
matches this weekend. All right, I want to give me
the odds that you have seen, or I will present
to you the odds however you want to do it,
and then we can look at that because I'm showing
here as far as these three big matchups for WrestleMania.
(50:00):
And again, some people are really into this stuff. You
can actually try and make a little bit of money
on this if you will. But first things first, jay
Uso and Gunther. Jay Uso a significant favorite to win
this match even though he's not the champion, and Gunther
looks unbeatable at this point. Who's your pick here in
(50:20):
this one?
Speaker 3 (50:22):
Well, here's the here's the problem with this match. A
lot of people, the internet fans want to see Gunther win.
The fancier you're gonna see and anybody who's followed wrestling
jay Uso with the yeats and all and the energy
that he brings to every building he watched it. It
feels like the momentum is there for Day to win.
Considering he stays Dumper three times before and has lost
(50:44):
every single one of them. He's the Royal Rubble winner.
Jay like you said, a significant favorite, he could become
an even more significant favorite overnight. Since we last talked
about these odds that I've sent to you, I'm taking Day.
Gunph has been a great champion, but this feels like
a feel good moment. This will start off WrestleMania here
on Saturday, coming up in about four hours actually, so
(51:06):
I think jayus is gonna win the World Haavuey Championship
from Dunter later today.
Speaker 2 (51:10):
All right, so we got another one, a triple threat
match between seth Rawl and CM Punk and Roman Reigns.
Who's your pick?
Speaker 3 (51:17):
Oh man, I'm so excited for this match. These are
three of our favorites. Man, like u Sampunk has come
back in uh after ten years away. This is his
first ever WrestleMania main event. This is not for a championship,
by the way, which is insane to think about Roman Range,
who this is gonna be his tenth wrestling a Mean
(51:39):
Events seth Rawls main event last year. So all three
of these guys are fighting basically, and Paul Damon, who
we love this is in the middle of this whole thing.
So really, what's crazy about this is Roman is a
significant underdog after being the champion, basically running roughed out
of Mike.
Speaker 2 (51:54):
Mike, are you, Mike? Are you doing this through a
dixie cup? We can barely hear you. What's happening over there?
Speaker 1 (52:01):
What do you?
Speaker 2 (52:02):
What do you? What? Are you like a strip club
and you don't want anybody to hear the music in
the background? What's going on there?
Speaker 1 (52:07):
I do not know.
Speaker 3 (52:09):
Maybe my my earbudzer not working correctly, But so I'll
say this CM Punk is like the second underdog here
at plus one twenty, set's the favorite. I will take
CM Punk at plus one twenty to win this striple
for matches first WrestleMania Vain event in his career.
Speaker 2 (52:32):
All right, last one. Here we've got Cody Rhodes versus
John Cena, who all of a sudden is a bad guy.
Who's your pick?
Speaker 3 (52:40):
It's John Cena going for number seventeen. Here, this is,
this is, and Cody won finished his story a year
ago at WrestleMania. John Cena being the bad guy, I
think we're getting number seventeen. John Cena says he's gonna
ruin wrestling and retire with the championship minus four hundred.
He is the significant favorite walking is JOHNSONA has the
(53:02):
one on one on one singles match in like five
six years, which has insane considered it's John Cina. But yeah,
I'm taking Johnson or one over Cody Rubs. So there
it is close that remating, all.
Speaker 2 (53:14):
Right, So there it is. Those are your picks from
the Degenerate Gambler himself, a man who's got a pristine record.
I think you were hitting it close to ninety five
percent last time we checked. You started off rough a
few years ago, but you've been on fire ever since.
It's kind of like Steve Hartman and his Oscars picks
when he when he picks, makes all his Oscars prediction
for Best Picture and all that. Mike Mayer a yearly tradition,
(53:38):
our WWE Degenerate Gambling Insider with us here on Fox
Sports Radio. Get him on x at off the mic
twenty eight Mike, thanks so much, man, We'll do it again.
Speaker 3 (53:48):
There he is, please here then?
Speaker 2 (53:50):
All right, So there he is. There's the great Mike
Mayor with us here on Fox Sports Radio, Budy. I mean,
do you guys think he was at a strip club? Like?
He doesn't seem like the strip club type. But it
seemed like he was trying to cover the phone, so nobody.
Maybe he was embarrassed to be talking to us. Maybe
that's what it was. Earbuds. Earbuds are tricky. I don't
know why I would have told him to just take
(54:10):
it off. Bluetooth. Yeah, no, he's fine. Listen, Yeah, hey, listen.
He got his picks in. He's usually pretty good. And
the whole point is can you pick winners? And he
generally does here on this show. So that'll be that'll
be something to watch for later on this weekend. It
is Jonas Knox on Fox Sports Radio at the Jonas
knocks On X at the Jonas knock On X coming
up next here though, from the tiraq dot Com studios.
(54:32):
There's a team in the NFL that has completely changed
the game. They've completely changed the game all of a sudden,
you've got to think twice about stuff when it comes
to the draft. We'll get into that for you here
on FSR Boom Texas for Jonas Jonas Knox, Fox Sports Radio.
Coming up a little over ten minutes from now, we
(54:56):
are going to have ourselves a discussion about something that
was mentioned earlier in the show that somebody I believe
should apologize for, and we'll get into that for you
here on FSR. SO there should be an apology coming.
I doubt this is actually going to we're going to
get an apology, but you know, somebody should be apologizing
for their comments earlier in the show and their disrespect
(55:19):
if I do say so myself earlier in the show.
That'll be yours here about ten minutes from now here
on FSR. SO, I was thinking about this when it
comes to the NFL Draft, because if you go and
you just see any mock draft or anything out there,
the feeling is that we kind of have a general
idea for what we're going to have happen and what's
(55:41):
going to play out as far as the first ten
picks go. Like the first ten picks, you feel like
you kind of have an understanding as to what we're
going to get. So we've got cam Ward is going
to go number one over all of the Tennessee Titans.
Everybody knows that. The betting odds would say that you've
got Travis Hunter going number two to the Cleveland Browns,
and then the Giants are sitting at three. There's abdual
(56:01):
Carter that's the most likely candidate for that. You can
go to DraftKings and see the betting odds for that.
Significant money is on Abdul Carter going number three to
the Giants. Now, whether they trade out of that pick
or not, that's the feeling. And then from there, you've
got the Patriots, You've got the Jaguars, You've got the Raiders.
(56:23):
There's some been some Ashton genty mentions there. The Jets
could go a line the Carolina pant And then you
get to New Orleans and New Orleans you're looking at
as a team that could potentially take a quarterback there
and take the second quarterback on the board, maybe Shador
Sanders there at number nine. And then you get to
the Bears, you get to the Niners, you get to
(56:45):
the Cowboys, but you kind of have a feeling that
you know who's going to do what and who's going
to take who, at least position wise, when it comes
to the first few picks of the draft, and I
think you feel great about it, and then you just
go back to last year and you go, yeah, but
nobody saw the Falcons taking a quarterback there, you know,
(57:07):
like nobody saw that happening, and you start to look
around and you go, We've seen this a couple of times.
But I feel like the Atlanta Falcons have changed the
way that you watch the draft, Like now you're not
quite certain as you would have been before because you
would have taken every mock draft from a year ago.
(57:29):
Nobody had the Atlanta Falcons taken a quarterback there. I
can remember listening to Fox Sports Radio's draft coverage last
year when it happened, and Jay Glazer started throwing out
the potential to Michael Pennock's going to Atlanta and you're like, no, no, no,
wait a second, they just signed Kirk Cousins. It doesn't
make any sense. And then it happened and you're like, wait, what.
(57:50):
So while we come into this draft and we think
we've got an understanding as to who's gonna go where,
and it feels like it's it's pretty set in stone,
Like you look at the betting odds, the mock drafts,
you look at all that stuff and you go, well,
it feels pretty set. But the Falcons kind of changed everything.
It's like the first season you watch Game of Thrones
(58:14):
and you're like, wait, wait, wait, they killed him. Wait
what That's not how it's supposed to go. And then
you were almost hesitant to like fall for any storyline,
or like fall in love with a certain character or
become a fan of a certain character because it changed
(58:35):
the way you watched it moving forward, because then you realize, oh,
anybody can get it. It's not just the main stars
who are safe. Oh no, that they could die too.
Anybody could get it. Oh you're a big fan of
so and so, don't worry. Next episodes, his head could
be on a spike also, but kind of change the
way you viewed everything. And the Falcons have done that
(58:57):
for the draft now to where it may not be
a team that you look at right now and go, oh, well, yeah,
they're going to take a quarterback. Like no, I mean,
I don't know. The Falcons change everything. The Giants you
would look at as being oh, there's no way they
take a quarterback they just signed too. Maybe if the
(59:19):
Falcons did, if the Atlanta Falcons did what they did
a year ago with Kirk Cousins giving him all that
money and still still taking a quarterback with their first pick,
anything's on the table. That's why the Shador Sanders discussion
is so fascinating, because you can make kind of an
(59:42):
argument for several teams based on what we saw last year.
You can make an argument for several teams near the
top and several teams making a play for Shador Sanders,
like Michael Pennix Junior was really talented. I don't know
that anybody though that he was going to go as
high as he did in the draft. I really don't.
(01:00:04):
I don't know how many people thought that he would
go ahead of Nicks, ahead of JJ McCarthy. There was
some debate, there was some speculation maybe maybe, but I
don't know how many people would watched last year and
were like, oh, yeah, for sure that the Falcons changed
at all. The Bears did this a little bit back
in twenty seventeen. They went out, they signed Mike Glennon,
(01:00:25):
obviously to a much smaller deal than Kirk Cousins got
with the Atlanta Falcons and then still drafted Mitch Trubisky,
and everybody was shocked by it, Like wait what Even
Mike Glennon was shocked. He was at like some Bears
draft party, looking around, going they took who? What do
you mean? And so the Falcons doing what they did
(01:00:45):
last year opened up all sorts of possibilities to where
it may not happen. Maybe that's a one off, but
all of a sudden you got to start to look
at other situations in the top ten and go, well, maybe,
I mean, if they did it last year, why wouldn't
the Browns take a quarterback at two? If you believe
(01:01:07):
should or Sanders is that talented, or Jackson Dart whoever, Like,
why wouldn't Why would that preclude them from taking a quarterback?
Why would it preclude the Giants from taking a quarterback? Well,
they've already signed two and it's not like they're long
term solutions. But the Steelers added two quarterbacks last offseason.
(01:01:28):
None of them are there, but you just go through
the first few picks and you go, the Raiders are
a possibility. The Jets, I could totally buy it. The
Saints obviously, and so Atlanta without maybe knowing it as
all of a sudden given me pause. And I think
(01:01:50):
there's a lot of people that should take a step
back and go, WHOA If that happened in last year's
episode of the Draft, nobody's safe. If that happened to
them and Kirk Cousins last year after the deal he got,
then anything should be on the table and open for
discussion when it comes to the NFL Draft. Jonas Knox

out of somebody on this show for comments they made
earlier on in this show. That'll be yours next here
on FSR. But for all the latest from around the
world of sports, ladies and gentlemen, make some noise and
(01:03:57):
roll out the red carpet in your ears talking about me,
shrink me. Okay, hey, buddy, how's it going there? What's
this apology business? Oh that you had some uh, disrespectful comments.
I'll be the dismissive comments when I've never a reference
earlier in the show, never made dismissive comments about anyone.
(01:04:20):
I just speak the truth and it's perceived by the way. Uh.
Perhaps related to that or not. We have a Jonas

Speaker 6 (01:04:27):
Media update because I just followed your admonition to check
out your new Instagram page at Jonas Knox Show, where
you have posted comments made by your legion of fans
from coast to coast.
Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (01:04:44):
And I understand why you can't repeat these particular ones
on the air, like literally, I mean, let's put.
Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
It this way. It was so graphic it cleared my sinuses.
I mean literally, not one word of this can be
heeded on the air. But I mean, let's try. No,
I'm not going to try. You can try.
Speaker 6 (01:05:06):
We have to be certified every year by the FCC,
so I'm not I'm not playing with that fire.
Speaker 2 (01:05:10):
I'll tell you that right now. All right, do you
want me to try it with you? And you great?
How well I do on this? Okay? Okay, fine, all right?
Tony tweets in no better sporting event all year for

with your fellow bleeps having a bleep party, bleeping yourself
(01:05:34):
to all that beef eye candy, like the bleeping board
op bleep smoker you have always been. That was actually decent.
I just don't know that was the third one.
Speaker 6 (01:05:44):
I don't know if it's possible for you to be
able to get through the first one, involving the picture
of Aaron Rodgers on the beach.
Speaker 2 (01:05:50):
Oh, let me let me try, all right, your show
from Peter? Yeah, so what you all right? Let me
sit the whole I got this, I got this from Peter,
all right, you beta bleep bleep get back to PMS

Well on that note, good job. By the way, you
walked a dangerous title there. You tell me I'm not
(01:06:33):
a radio professional. Screw you, Isaac. I tried.
Speaker 6 (01:06:39):
Also trying right now the Milwaukee Bucks to get back
into Game one of the NBA Playoffs. By the way,
did they teach segues that you're broadcasting school?
Speaker 2 (01:06:47):
They did mine?
Speaker 6 (01:06:48):
Right now, the Bucks trailing the Pacers one ten to
ninety five, one two left to play in the fourth quarter.
Indiana led this game at halftime by twenty four points,
sixty seven to forty three. They've actually outscored the Pacers
in the second half fifty two to forty three, but
still not nearly enough, as the Pacers up by fifteen
with ninety two seconds left in regulation. Indiana shooting fifty
(01:07:11):
one percent from the game, Pascal Siakam leading him with
twenty one points, Miles Turner has nineteen, Andrew Nemhardt had
seventeen for Milwaukee, It's really been all Jiannis Antetokumpo thirty
six points in thirty eight minutes in Game one, on
fourteen out of twenty three.
Speaker 2 (01:07:27):
From the field.
Speaker 6 (01:07:28):
His teammates However, twenty out of fifty eight from the field,
so that is not exactly going to get it done.
It's been giantis Antetkoumpo and nobody else as the rest
of his Milwaukee Buck teammates from the field in Game one.
As I try and punch this up on my calculator,
thirty four percent from the field. Stanley Cup playoffs face
(01:07:50):
off at six pm Eastern, the Winnipeg Jets hosting the
Saint Louis Blues. But two NHL coaches fired today, New
York Rangers dismissing head coach Peter laveo Lette after two seasons.
The ANAI I'm Ducks fired head coach Greg Cronin, also
after two seasons. Baseball, the Detroit Tigers, if you to
the Kansas City Royals three to one, Spencer torcos at
a three to one home run and the seventh inning
(01:08:11):
is the Tigers improved to eight and one at Comerica Park,
Philly's leading the Marlins nine to four in the bottom
of the seventh inning, Cobbs getting back to back second
inning home runs by Saya Suzuki and Michael Bush.
Speaker 2 (01:08:22):
They lead the Diamondback six to one. On the top
of the fourth at Wrigley Blue Jays up one nothing
over the Mariners. In the bottom of the second inning,
Instagram sensation back to you. Well, I wouldn't go far.
I got I gotta go way, bring it on, Bring
it on now. By the way I was gonna, I
was gonna mention this, well, a couple of apologies should
(01:08:43):
be made. Nico emel jesus imlayava yes elev iamalayava iam alaiava.
My god? Why do I butcher that every time? Like
I know, I haven't phonetically spelled out, I know how
to say it. For for some reason, I try and
train the air. Been there, yes. So last week when
(01:09:07):
we were discussing because apparently he took to social media,
some people were accusing him of, you know, throwing games
or not playing well in games, and like he's responding
to it and he might go to UCLA. I don't
know if it's like whatever, it's it's all, it's all bs.
So one of the things that wasn't mentioned last week
is that for a short period of time, I know
(01:09:27):
it was definitely throughout the course of our show when
we were discussing Tennessee's decision to move on from him?
Was it somebody changed his nickname on Wikipedia to money Lover.
Now it has been changed, right, it has been changed
to Nico. But for a time on Wikipedia you could
(01:09:50):
go back and see that his nickname was money Lover.
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:09:54):
I don't have a problem with it. There are so
many worse nicknames you could have put out there.
Speaker 2 (01:09:58):
Yeah, but it's like, you know, that's the problem. You know,
occasionally on Wikipedia, some people will get their hands on
stuff and before it's noticed by anybody involved, you know,
next thing you know, the people are off to the
races and being smart asses on there. So that's that's appalled.
You want whoever said that about the great Nicolava that
(01:10:19):
was your best apologize? Yep, you need to apologize. In fact, bo,
could we a little editing here? If you could f
e that and just insert that over the two that
I butchered previous, that would be great little cut in pagety.
That would give our podcast ratings that many more stars.
Speaker 6 (01:10:34):
That would get them shooting up. Can I give you
a sports media Wikipedia anecdote? Oh yeah, there is one
person in our business who authored their own Wikipedia page
and the giveaway was that this Wiki Wikipedia page somehow
had their accurate winning percentage as a youth sports coach,
(01:10:58):
so it was clear.
Speaker 2 (01:10:59):
It was clear that this person had authored their own
Wikipedia page. That was a dead giveaway. Who was it?
I'm not gonna tell you, by the way, But White Isaac,
why do you do that? You give us a story
and then you won't tell us who it is. It's
called the teas in the radio business, A tease for
what hour three? Look? Who is it? Who's the blowhard?
I'm not, I'm not. I'm not gonna tell you. Let
(01:11:21):
me think of some other blowhards in sports. I'm not comedia.
Where do we start? But it's a long list.
Speaker 6 (01:11:28):
It's a long list, baby. By the way, how is
it that you do not yet have your own Wikipedia page?
Speaker 2 (01:11:34):
I'm gonna start one for you. How's that? Yeah? Who cares?
There was some anecdote out there that said that I
was in my that was like twenty three, and I
I was a former quarterback. I saw maybe they had
you confused with Brady. Yeah, a lot of confusion there.
One guy's on big Dune kickoff, the other looks like
a vampire. You look like a lot of other things.
(01:11:56):
Before you look like a vampire. Are you going to apologize?
By the way, not gonna happen. Ever, I'm never gonna
apologize for just missing the great kmart kmart, and we're
not talking about Kenyan Martin. We're talking about this store, Kmart.
I don't apologize to anybody except my wife. Okay, Kmart.
I'm getting people sending over information about kmart's nearby. A
(01:12:19):
guy sent over a picture of a kmart still standing
in Florida. Meanwhile, you were ready to just pour dirt
on him and bury the entire franchis No, I said,
ashamed of yourself. I said that the North Charleston Kmart
closed eight years ago, while giving free publicity to the
kmart in Guam. I'm a big deal. My my bull
(01:12:39):
mast have died years ago, doesn't mean all of them died.
I'm sorry to hear that. By the way, what he
should have gotten better shape, he'd still be here. Who
is responsible for that? Hey, don't blame me. I put
the bowl in front of him, his fat ass chose
to eat it. By the way, you can get more
of this fun content at Jonas on Instagram. That is,

Speaker 6 (01:13:07):
Missed the other update, your beloved, your beloved North Charleston one.
According to at Big Chucktown B is now apparently a
T Mobile call center, So it's continuing your legacy.
Speaker 2 (01:13:18):
Yeah, hey, well listen when people are pounding the phones
there making calls from that call center.
Speaker 4 (01:13:23):
Just no.
Speaker 2 (01:13:23):
At one point in time I was walking through there
with five dollars in change, going I can get a
pizza and what else? What else could I get on
my way back to my first radio job.
Speaker 5 (01:13:35):
All right?
Speaker 2 (01:13:35):
So coming up next here though, we are going to
tell you in another edition of the Scraps about somebody
who's not getting any of the blame for a situation
in football, and they should be. That's yours here on
FSR Jonas Knox, Fox Sports Radio. Make sure you stick around.
Little over ten minutes from now, Alex Curry, Karmen Vitali
(01:13:56):
will be taking over the airwaves here on FSR. If

along to our show Instagram page that is at Jonas
Knox Show. You can see all sorts of content from
today throughout the course of the week. With two pros

(01:14:40):
insulting tweets that have been sent over Those are posted
up in the ig stories portion of that page. So
again at Jonas Knox Show on Instagrams where you can
find all that. Right now, though, it is time to
close up shop on this beautiful and glorious Saturday with this, Jonas.
Speaker 1 (01:15:00):
Could you not get to these stories.
Speaker 2 (01:15:04):
Are the scraps? And for that we turn it over
to our executive producer Bo Benson to find out what
the hell we've missed so far in the show.
Speaker 7 (01:15:10):
Bo Jonas, how I wish this was an hour ago
so I could ask you if anybody cares about the
Clippers playoff games starting right now. But unfortunately it's not.
It's the scraps. So uh, I'm gonna start here right now.
Speaker 2 (01:15:21):
Yeah, we don't care. Well, listen a boat. Do you
you need to tell me it wouldn't be fun to
get a Clippers Lakers matchup in the playoffs. I don't know.
Fun is the word I would use for that one.
Speaker 7 (01:15:34):
Come on, don't It might happen this year though, to
all credits to the Clippers, they are actually a good
team that is under the radar because they play in
an empty arena that nobody goes to. And okay, se
battle for La Stuffy.
Speaker 2 (01:15:47):
But now this is what I want though, because I
need because it's basically you know that that gift from
Game of Thrones where John Snow just pulls out his
sword and the entire army is coming towards him. That
like that, Like John Snow would be Ben Maller and
Moncey Belanos against the entire Fox Sports radio network. Yeah,
(01:16:08):
like it would be those two versus every Laker fan,
which is majority of the Fox Sports radio family, is
what that would be. Yeah, you Rob Gara riding horseback
with javelins ready to just take out benn Or Mons.
Speaker 7 (01:16:22):
Well, every yeah, pretty much everybody with Patrick, because Patrick
swore off the Lakers before the season and has tried
to get back on after they traded for Luca, but
no one will let him back in.
Speaker 2 (01:16:31):
So that's important. What is that about?
Speaker 7 (01:16:35):
Yeah, tell you gotta. If you find out, let me
know because I can't figure it out either.
Speaker 3 (01:16:43):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (01:16:43):
Dion Sanders had this to say when he was asked
about Colorado retiring the jersey numbers for Travis Hunter and
Shuder Sanders.
Speaker 5 (01:16:50):
Let's get the elephant, Drew. I don't want to talk
about this too long. I'm gonna just talk briefly and
let it go. We talking about Shador. We ain't talking
about nobody else but his last name one Sanders. We
wouldn't have discovered this discussion. The only reason we were
having this discussion is his last name of Sanders.
Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
All right, Look, I don't know about that. I'll say this.
I can understand why people look at it and go, well,
they're retiring his number two. He was there for a
couple of years. Dion figures, you know, was a college
football Hall of Famer and they should have retired his number.
Now you've got all these people speaking out saying they
(01:17:29):
should have retired all these other numbers. Here's my question,
is that Deon Sanders fault. Like the school had thirty
plus years to do it, Why didn't they do it?
So Deon Sanders was the first guy to step up
and go No, I want to celebrate these players. It's
a brand new era of Colorado football. I'm going to
make the change and we're going to get it done. Now.
You had three decades to try and get some of
(01:17:51):
these other numbers, in particular, the number two retired for
Deon figures they didn't do it. So I can understand
why there would be Ah, it's not right, and you
know that never should have already been retired. I get it,
But I don't know that it's all necessarily Dion's fault
that it got done right after those two guys finished up.
(01:18:12):
I just to me, it's it's a little strange how
the whole thing played out.
Speaker 5 (01:18:15):
Well.
Speaker 7 (01:18:15):
It's also it's also funny that like Travis Hunter gets
caught up in this when like, if there's anybody in
college football that deserves to have their number retired, it's
Travis Hunter.
Speaker 2 (01:18:23):
Yes, it's not even I just like the school had
all this time, they didn't get anything done, and then
it's Dion who's catching heat for the fact that he
stepped in and actually like showed some to do and hey,
well I'm going to do something and get it done,
and he's the guy getting all the heat for it
doesn't make any sense.
Speaker 7 (01:18:41):
Damian Lillard of the Milwaukee Bucks was he was assessed
a technical foul for drawing off at Pacers guard Tyreus
Haliburton during the Bucks lost this afternoon in the playoffs game. Won?
Speaker 2 (01:18:52):
I wait, so's a like heat fist thrown?
Speaker 7 (01:18:56):
No, he took exception to something Haliburton did, because you know,
the Bucks were getting beat down. I mean, if you
go look at the box score, you'll you'll get a
very good picture of what's going on in Milwaukee right now.
So yeah, Damian Lillard was not happy. So he's fixing
to get back out there in a couple of games.
It seems though, so man, that.
Speaker 2 (01:19:10):
You miss the good old days when there would just
be like sanctioned violence in playoff games. Now like there'd
just be like like there'd be brawls, all sorts of
interesting stuff. Now we got blowouts and players returning early
it's just not fun man.
Speaker 1 (01:19:22):
Come on, Jonas, Son of a Bitch.
