Speaker 1 (00:00):
I have to have better stop from the beginning, Jonas Knocks,
you thought you knew me, You didn't know a thing
about me.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
He's crazier than air.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Else wrapped that guy, Jonas Knocks, you heard me.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
The Brands of Darkness is lighting up your speakers to
establish an alibi for the day. No Live from the
Fox Sports Radio studios, here's Jonas Knox.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
YEP, Okay, I'll be poor of this world.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
I mean, you talk about perfect timing. I don't know
that I've done a show that's had more perfect timing
then the story we are going to lead off with,
and we'll get into that coming up here in just
a couple of moments from now, Jonas Knox, Fox Sports Radio.
You can listen to this show as always on the
iHeartRadio app. You can find us on hundreds of affiliates

(01:15):
all across the country and no matter where you are
making us a part of your Saturday, we appreciate you
doing so. As we continue on for this two hour extravaganza.
So there was some big news. Anytime you see somebody
get rewarded for their accomplishments and for their hard work,

(01:38):
I always think it's a great story. Whether it's sports,
whether it's anything. If you bust your ass at your
job and you do a good job and finally you
get rewarded with some long term security financially, I think
that's great, especially with the holidays coming up. I think
that's great. I think that's great for the person who
gets that financial security and gets rewarded. I also think

(01:59):
it's great for them, their family, their friends. It shows
you the hard work that has gone into your success
and to see your success payoff. I think it's I
think it's amazing. And you know, we had a little
bit of that come out earlier today. Somebody very deserving
of this. Texas A and M head coach Mike Elko.

(02:22):
The reports are they are finalizing a six year contract
extension for Mike Galko. His name was kind of thrown
out there is maybe he would leave there to go
somewhere else.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
He is not.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
They are finalizing that six year deal and so listen,
I agree it's going to get him reportedly eleven million
dollars a year. Eleven million dollars a year Mike Elko
is going to get from Texas A and M as
they as they reward him, it'll put him in the

(02:54):
top five amongst college football coaches from a pay standpoint.
So congratulations again to Mike Elko and Mike Elko's family.
And right now we're gonna go live for reaction to
the momentous occasion and the great news for Mike Elko
in company. Let's go live to college station.

Speaker 6 (03:13):
Now gonna role to us. Wright's gotta make one guy this.
Now he's got Harboro on the curl route. Here goes
Nick at the forty to fifty. Open it up, big
guy at the thirty. You won't go ty, Gonna get
him at the tod touchdown, Carolina touchdown, Nick Harbor, Wait.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
A second, todd ellis from Learfield. That's a hell of
a way to celebrate a guy getting a long term
security and be rewarded for his hard work for all
these years. You talk about perfect timing. Texas A and
m drops the news. Hey, listen, we're gonna give Mike
Elcho a six year extension. We're gonna make him one
of the top five paid coaches in college football. He's

(03:54):
gonna get eleven million dollars a year annually. Don't you
dare no go near our head coach, Your hands off
him and then they go out and they are getting
blistered by South Carolina thirty to three at halftime. You
can't make this up, Like, how awkward is that? Look,

(04:19):
I don't know if the if finalizing. I hope it's finalized,
and I get it. Look, it's just a half of
football South Carolina and the way they've performed this year,
they could cough this lead up totally under. I get it,
but can we not admit through one half of football?
The timing of this is very awkward, and it just

(04:40):
feels like we've been down this road with Texas A
and M before.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
You know.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
It feels like we've been down this road. And then
you know they've kind of you know, like when it
comes to head coaches, they've kind of stepped in it
a little bit. I'm just saying, like the Jimbo Fisher stuff,
you know, but he gets seventy six million dollars, Like
that's part of the re reason why this Brian Kelly
thing is still going on because LSU was like, well, no,
like the guy who who was maybe responsible for giving

(05:08):
Jimbo Fisher that that first contract and then maybe giving
him the extension. He was here in Baton rouge and
we're trying to get I mean, you got like the
governor involved, Like the whole thing's a disaster. It's just
a disaster in Texas. A and M kind of was
the one who started all that. You remember back in the
day when they were like, well, we're gonna give Kevin

(05:29):
Sumlin a contract extension. It was basically because Johnny Manziel
will give Kevin Somemonin a contract extension. And then Kevin
someonin you know, went out and fired his pool boy.
Anybody remember that story, Kevin Somelin. There was talks about
who they were going to hire as their DC, and
the guy who cleans Kevin Someone's pools went on Twitter
at the time and said, hey, uh, curd coach someone

(05:52):
talking to so and so looks like, you know, sutch
and Son is going to be our head coach, and
Kevin Someone turned around and fired the guy and then
ultimately he got fired. Here it's just like so I'm
just saying, it's just an interesting way to celebrate giving
a guy top five money in college football when his
team goes out in the first half and gets annihilated

(06:14):
by South Carolina. Again, we're just through one half of football. Okay,
it is very possible that this take and opinion and
little bit could die on the vine in about twenty minutes.
That is possible. It's happened before in the show, and
it's very possible now. But as it stands right now,
Texas A and M is celebrating Mike Elko's new contract

(06:37):
extension by getting pistol whipped by South Carolina in the
first half at home. I'm just saying at the Jonas
Knocks on X at Jonas Knox Show on Instagram is
where you can find and follow the show as well too.
So I did want to discuss this because I do
think this is kind of entertaining. I also, you know,

(06:59):
in in a way agree with this head coach. So
Raheem Morris, the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, he
had to respond to a clip that was put out
during the week where Michael Pennocks Junior, his quarterback, was
talking about you know what sort of help he gets, like,
like who's who's there to help him and guide him
if he's struggling. So let's first take a listen to

(07:21):
Michael Pennick Junior just for reference. For Michael Pennick Junior
from earlier in the week discussing that, and then I've
got some quotes from his head coach afterwards.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
I mentally, I like my fiance. She's always there for me.
So I know, whenever I get home, it doesn't matter
how I play, she's always gonna be there for me.
She's gonna have a smile on her face and give
me a hug and make me feel feel good no
matter what. But as far as you know, as far
as like physically on the field stuff, it's not nobody

(07:52):
that I'll talk to, like as far as another quarterback
or anything like that. You know, I do have people
reach out to me. I do have quarterback coaches though
back on that reached out to me as well, you know,
tell me, hey, like you need to clean this up,
clean that up, you know, and everything would be good.
So those guys help me as far as that too.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
So I think I shout now when Michael Pennix Junior
said that the headlines were, I have nobody to help
me all right now, upon further review, he's simply stating
who was there. But there were some people and if
you want to jump to conclusions, that's fine. There were

(08:31):
some people who jumped to conclusions and said, well, was
that a shot at the Falcons coaching staff? So on
and so forth. Now Raheem Morris spoke yesterday about it
and said the following quote, stop looking for stuff on
a young man. You don't need this stuff on him.
It is what it is. But all those things people
do it doesn't matter to affect this building. I just
feel bad for the kid. I don't want the kid
having to deal with stuff that doesn't matter or stuff

(08:53):
that's not real. Let his problems be his problems, like
third downs, let's fix those. Don't make up a thing
that doesn't exist. I would agree with him, Okay, I
would agree with Raheem Morris. Do not make up a
thing that doesn't exist. Okay, agreed. Here's what does exist.
Atlanta stinks. Okay, that exists, right, that odor coming from Georgia,

(09:19):
that's the Falcons And what's no worthy about that and
why that should be the talking point, not Michael Pennix Junior,
who's speaking about who's there to help him, and people
trying to run with that and say, well he's airing
out the coaches. What's no worthy about all of that?
More So than those out of context quotes or out

(09:42):
of context words from Michael Pennix Junior. Is the fact
that this was a Falcons organization who had the greatest
coach of all time in the building twice, so much
so the guy didn't even leave. He went to Chick
fil A to get something to go in his suit
and tie. People took a picture of it. It made

(10:06):
the rounds on social media, except like, he didn't even
do drive through. Belichick walked right into the front to
order Chick fil A, And then the Atlanta Falcons made
a spectacle of that, embarrassed that guy and went public
with the fact that we're like nah. Even though the
owner would like to hire Belichick, he got overruled by

(10:29):
multiple people in the organization who were terrified that Belichick
might come in there and turn things around, because God
forbid he would walk into that room and say, you
know what, you guys aren't very good. Let me help.
God forbid anybody would want that. So they made a
spectacle of it. They fought, they kicked and screamed, and

(10:49):
they hired Raheem Morris. And guess what that team stinks? Period.
You want to know about what the highlight of the
Atlanta Falcon season is You'll know what it is that
Brady Quinn's going to be on the call for their
game tomorrow. That's the highlight of their year. Yeah, and

(11:10):
maybe I'm biased, but kiss my ass. When you're a
bad football team, we got to find some bright spots
around here, and that's the only one. So I'm with
Rihey Morris. The story shouldn't be Michael Pennix Junior and
his words that were taken out of context. I'm with you.
The real story should be who was there when the

(11:30):
Atlanta Falcons decided, Hey, we don't want the greatest of
all time. We'll go ahead and we'll take Raheem Morris instead.
Oh and by the way, right after we give a
massive contract to Kirk Cousins, right after we do that,
why don't we go ahead and draft a quarterback eighth overall?

(11:51):
When we've got multiple holes to fill on this team.
Who was there for all those decisions? Anybody? It was
Arthur Smith's fault before that, and he couldn't get Jean
Robinson the ball. And it was like you had all
these talent, all this talent and these weapons on offense,
and nobody can get the ball, and here we are.

(12:13):
You picked your head coach, you picked your quarterback, and
then picked another one literally started that quarterback. And it's
the same problems that have been here for three, four,
what five years? Same thing, And then you come to
look at it and you go, oh, wait a second,

(12:35):
where are the Falcons? Right? If you were just to take, like,
if I were just ask you, like, hey, based on
preseason expectations and sort of where we are as far
as organizations go and concerns and all that stuff, where
would you say the Falcons are? Like if you had
if you were looking around, Oh, they are a game
and a half better than the Saints, who are basically

(12:57):
openly tanking, who are telling you, yeah, it's not this year,
like whatever, whatever, you guys think. The closest we're gonna
get to a Super Bowl New Orleans is the one
that just left last year. That's the Falcons. So I'm
with Raheem Morris. So I'm with him. A lot of
this stuff, a lot of this you know, the mumbo

(13:20):
jumbo that's out there about Michael Pennix and he's the
air and out the organization. I'm with you. I didn't
think anything of it. But here's what I do think
of that team is underperforming and underwhelming and not good.
And that was the same team that told the greatest
of all time to kick rock. So we could bring
in Raheem Morris at the Jonas Knox on X at

(13:41):
Jonas Knock Show on Instagram and you can hang out
with us as always on the iHeartRadio app. So we're
gonna have the usuals coming up. Later on, We're going

Bottom of this hour. We're also gonna have another edition
of Do You Care. We've got the week eleven edition

(14:02):
about last week. I told you, and for good reason,
we'll give the results on that for you. All of
that is yours here again on this two hour extravaganza.
Up next, though, you were watching a coach in the
NFL bomb on stage, and I'll tell you who it
is next.

Speaker 6 (14:20):
We don't need to bring Jonas in.

more than ten minutes from now. We are going to
hand out our TGFG Game of the Week Award. That'll
be yours here on FSR, so make sure you stick

(15:22):
around for that. One of the more awkward things you
can watch is somebody bomb on stage, like whether it's
a comedian or you see somebody you know try and
perform an act. They're singing like whatever, like just and

(15:44):
then you watch them and they're going through it and
they've got no way out. They're just standing there on stage,
bombing away, and they've got nothing they can respond with.
There's nothing they can do. Like you can't stop. You
just have to keep going because if you stop, it

(16:05):
makes it look worse. You just got to fight it.
Just it's awkward, and trust me, I've been there. When
I was in a band, we would play shows. I
can remember one time specifically, I completely forgot what the
lyrics were, and I wrote them not that long before,
like they were fresh in my mind, and for whatever reason,
I got up there and just had nothing. Whatever I

(16:30):
was supposed to sing, whatever lyrics came, I just sort
of I mean, there was music behind me, so it
helped they drown it out. But it's awful. We had
a guitarist one time. His guitar literally went out of
tune in the middle of a song. I didn't know
how that's possible, and it was not noticed until he

(16:50):
had a solo part. And instead of the other guitars
helping him out and like trying to trying to play
and cover up the mistake, he just stood there and laughed.
And we're literally on stage at the Whiskey of go
go on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood bombing like no, so
I've been there. This is this is not somebody judging

(17:11):
from afar who has no idea what they're talking. I've
been there. It's awful. It's it's awful. I say all
that to say this, what you are about to hear
is the equivalent of that. In the NFL. Here's Aaron Glenn,

(17:32):
head coach of the New York Jets, talking with the
media yesterday or with this mini bibe.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
Might you consider it a quarterback change?

Speaker 8 (17:40):
You know what, I'm evaluating everything, rich to be honest
with you, and that's I'm evaluating myself, the players, schematics, coaches,
I'm evaluating everything. So I don't want to just place
everything on that that one situation. You know, I'm just
looking at everything because as a head coach, that's my
job right make sure that I put this team in.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
The best position to go win games. Man, I'm trying
to do to.

Speaker 8 (18:04):
Make the best decision to give our guys a chance
to win. Because to me, a spark is really a
short term you know, whatever that that that that the
evaluation processes come out to. Just know that that the
reason why I make decisions that I make because it
gives us the best chance to win.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Oh guitars one out of tune drummer dropped a stick
forgot the lyrics oof boy boy boy. Uh look man,
it's over. He can like we can try and dresses

(18:43):
like it's over. It just is and not all this
is Aaron Glenn's fault. It's the situation. It's the team,
the owner, the decision make like. It's not all of
it is Aaron Glenn's fault. It's just not working. And
I know, well it's one year and look, man, you know,

(19:04):
like give it some time. I'm with you, And I
think he's going to get time. I don't think he's
going to be a one and done because I don't
think whatdy Johnson has it in him to say, you
know what, I made a mistake. I don't think what
hey Johnson has it him to say I made a
mistake and let's go let's go forward with somebody else.
I just don't think he has it. So I think
he's going to give him an opportunity because Aaron Glenn
seems like a good dude whose heart was in the

(19:25):
right place. He wanted to go back and try and
turn around that organization that he had success with as
a player, Like he wanted to be a part of that,
and he had success in Detroit. And look, when he
leaves the Jets, or whenever he leaves the Jets, he's
going to get hired on. It's not like he's going
anywhere like he's a good dude, but it's over there.

(19:47):
And I said it at the time. Look, I don't
know who fixes that, but you just heard somebody who's
got no answers, and not that he should have answers,
not that he should have, you know all. I mean,
look their decision to say no to Aaron Rodgers and
willingly say we don't want you. We're going to go

(20:08):
in another direction that didn't age. Well. Whatever you think
about Rogers' performance this year, it's way better than whatever
they've gotten this year. Quarterback, the Justin Fields is he
going to be bench decision? Woody Johnson airing him out
and then Field's having to come back in and and

(20:28):
you know they're they're talking about who's going to be
the starting quarterback or you going to make a quarterback change,
and oh, by the way, the guy you want to
start at quarterback is injured and Tyrod the whole thing,
and then trading away maybe your two best players on
defense that didn't help. Like there's just there's there's a
lot going on there. They're a defensively coached team and

(20:55):
they're dead last in turnovers. They've got one turnover this year,
not offensively, defensively one time. They've gotten the ball on
defense and given it back to the offense. This year,
dead last by a mile. There's nobody close. Like it's over, dude.

(21:23):
And when you hear Aaron Glenn talk and you hear
the enthusiasm he as and then you know earlier this
week it was, well talk to Rich Samini about the injuries,
Like that's somebody who I think knows deep down I
can't fix this. I can't. I wanted to. I wanted
to try and fix it, but I can't. But I

(21:43):
can't do it. It's not fixable. And I got news
for you that, again, isn't an Aaron Glenn thing. That's
just the Jets. The fact that Rex Ryan wanted to
leave his comfortable TV gig to go take that job
and was openly polititicking for it, campaigning for it tells

(22:03):
me either he really loves that organization or he just
can't stand working at ESPN one of the two. But
you're hearing somebody bomb on stage because they realize I
got no way out of this, I got no answers,
I got no way out of this, and it's not

(22:24):
getting better anytime soon at the Jonas Knocks on X

going to all of a sudden go crawl into a

(23:04):
hole somewhere and be like, oh my god, they don't
like you. No. No, If you want to air something
out and you want to get something off your chest.
You can air me out anytime you want on the
YouTube page. Go go right ahead again, search Fox Sports
Radio on YouTube and subscribe. All right, So coming up
next here, we are going to hand out an award
on this show. It's our TGFG Game of the Week.

(23:24):
It's a Saturday tradition during the football season. That'll be yours.
But for all the latest from around the world of sports,
ladies and gentlemen, we turn it over to the one
and only, the magnificent, the prestigious, the powerful. And some
would say the iconic. What do you mean? Some just
some off. Some would say I'll take that, Jonas.

Speaker 9 (23:46):
This report will include Texas A and M snooping pool cleaner,
state trooper and campus police updates, as well as a
Virginia Tech m private plane update. So in the meantime,
I'll ask you to do a search on Twitter slash

(24:07):
x for state troopers so you can watch the video
that I'm about to talk about. But first I'll update you.
You mentioned the Texas A and M snooping pool cleaner
who got fired for overhearing then head coach Kevin Sumlin's
conversation while he was cleaning the pool at his house.
The gentleman is actually still working in the industry and
doing quite well. In fact, he is currently working for

(24:30):
a leading provider of quote liquid storage solutions unquote, so
his career is flourishing. However, Texas A and M was
not flourishing in the first half. The number three Aggie's
trailing at home at halftime to South Carolina thirty to three.
But guess what, they have scored the first two touchdowns

(24:52):
of the second half. So with four minutes and eighteen
seconds left to play in the third quarter, believe it
or don't, Texas AA is back in the game. They
trail it thirty to sixteen. Now you that take was
going to die, son of a bitch. I knew he
was going to die on the vine. That's too bad. Well,
whatever you can accidentally you can accidentally delete that part

(25:13):
of the podcast. True Radio is like sky riding Jonas,
It just floats away.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
Agreed.

Speaker 9 (25:18):
Now, So anyway, as part of South Carolina building that
big lead, Leonoris Sellars throws an eighty yard touchdown pass
to Nick Harbor. Now Harbor as he's running into the
end zone, He's running so fast he can't stop at
the back of the end zone, So he runs up
the tunnel just past the end zone, he slows down

(25:42):
in the tunnel. He and a teammate coming back down
the tunnel. It's kind of a narrow tunnel, and they
accidentally bump in to a state trooper. The state trooper
flares his elbows out and starts screaming at the play
who are like, we didn't do that on and they

(26:04):
walk back down the tunnel. Now, have you been able
to review video of this incident here? I mean here
were a stage trooper confrontation update Jonas Knox.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Yeah, Well, I give the state trooper credit. He didn't
just throw his elbow into one of them. He split
the defenders and threw both elbows at so it was
almost like a chicken wing, almost like he was doing
a should side raises and just threw both elbows up,
flapped his arms and then turned around to confront him. Well,
I give him credit.

Speaker 9 (26:31):
Clearly that aggressiveness has inspired Texas A and M so far.
In the second half, now from the state trooper, we
go to the Texas A and M campus police and
Jonas as you know, they focus on cracking down on
underage drinking at their football games and also tweeting about it.
The Texas A and M campus police live tweeting incidents

(26:53):
occurring during the game. Quote subject removed a sixteen ounce
Miller Lite from short after entering stadium. Ejected subject with
two michelob Ultras in pocket. Ejected subjects saw officer and
put drink down, provided false name and date of birth.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
Arrested unquote. Hey, you know what, Well, here, let's see
if we can, you know, take the side of the
quote unquote guilty, if we could, you know, defend the
defendant here. What are the beer charges? I mean, what
are they charging for a beer at Texas A and
M games. Oh that's a good point because I mean,
if they've got to sneak in, you know, a Miller

(27:34):
Light and a michelob Ultra. I mean, it's not like
they're going high end, I pas. I mean those are
domestic as it gets.

Speaker 9 (27:42):
I'm just saying a sixteen ounce Miller Lite from their shorts.
I mean, what exactly are the mechanics and physics involved here?

Speaker 1 (27:49):
Well, here's the thing that I have noticed. Baggy pants
are in now, Baggy shorts are in the back. Games
are baggy back like real baggy real baggy. Yeah, it's
I mean, you know that people are walking around with
car covers on their waist. It's just the whole thing's bizarre.
But it's just a tal and listen, it's the way
the kids are dressed nowadays. You know what, what was

(28:11):
popular twenty years ago or twenty five years ago. It
just it's cyclical. So this will happen again in the
year twenty fifty. People are going to be wearing baggy
clothes again.

Speaker 9 (28:21):
The way this stuff works, it's the circle of life.
So Kyle Field appears to be the most exciting place
by far in college football today because elsewhere, Number two
Indiana leads Wisconsin thirty one to seven with five minutes
left in the fourth Number nine Notre Dame a twenty
eight to nine lead at number twenty two pit four
minutes left to play in the third quarter, and at
regular field, Chicago eighteenth ranke Michigan a fourteen to nine

(28:43):
lead at Northwestern six to go in.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
The third quarter.

Speaker 9 (28:46):
ESPN reported the former Penn State head coach James Franklin
is in the early stages of talks with Virginia Tech
about its head coaching job, and Jonas early this morning,
Hokey fans on the Virginia Tech message began tracking a
private plane flying from State College, Pennsylvania to Blacksburg, and

(29:07):
they thought that James Franklin would be aboard. At Wild
Turkey eighteen sixty nine posted and I quote, we need
boots on the ground with camera rolling when they land.
I would do it, but one I'm drunk and two
I'm in Texas.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
Anyway. Sorry, I was gonna say, you want to know
how much of an alcoholic that guy is? His handle
is Wild Turkey.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
Eight.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Well that's what he's known by.

Speaker 9 (29:37):
Pretty good typing for someone who was apparently inebriated. Then
at h Mitchell Underscore zero eight added if someone can
get to Blacksburg Airport and get a picture of who
is on that plane, I'm willing to Venmo one hundred dollars.
So this story has a very surprising happy twist at

(29:58):
the end. At b Big Hochy Guy twelve then commented, quote,
en Roots as we speak, just passed Gucci Kroger. I
have some questions about what Gucci Kroger is, but I'll
get on with it. Traffic is light now. Big Hoky
Guy twelve made it to the airport, got his picture

(30:18):
and actually took a selfie with the guy who was
on the plane. It was not James Franklin, however, it
was a member of the search committee for a head
coach named Bud Foster. So the upshot of the story
is Jonas at Big Hoky Guy twelve had been going
through some financial challenges and it turned out that all

(30:40):
the Virginia tech fans were so grateful for his efforts
to find out who was on the plane. They then
mowed him over two thousand dollars at Big Hochey. Guy
twelve then posted this is life changing. I'm in awe.
I cannot believe the support unquote. So as much as
we poke fun of losing I mean fan on social media,

(31:01):
they were very generous and that story had a neat
twist at the end back.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
To you, Oh thanks, Ilo. I mean I would say,
go buy a beer at a Texas A and m
game at Kyle Field. But I do have some beer
prices for you. Oh, go for it. Since you want
to know why kids are sneaking in and make ultrue.

Speaker 9 (31:17):
You tell us and then I'll look up what Gucci
Kroger is. Okay, looks Oh wait, I'm seeing like twelve
forty nine for a domestic beer. Oh my god, yeah, twelve.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
Forty nine for a domestic beer, which look out here
at you know, you go to a game at Dodger Stadium.
It's ridiculous. I mean, but I would say you could
get you know, a twelve pack of Miller Lites or
Mick Ultri's for what sixteen bucks? Fifteen sixteen bucks? So
I mean, I don't. I mean, these kids are in college,
what do you want from them? Like, you know what
they should do? You know, like you would go to

(31:47):
certain places, they'd be like, well, it's a two drink minimum,
like you should you should allow kids in college to
like there's you can sneak in up to two beers
after that. Sorry, we can't help you. Like two beers
when you walk through the gate, pour them into a
plastic cup and enjoy the game. But that's it. You know,

(32:08):
go through make sure they don't have any plastic flasks
that won't be picked up through a security wand or
anything like that. But that that would be my move.
If you want to get these kids in and get
them a little rowdy, you know, and get them into
the game and fired up. You know, let them, let
them sneak into Miller Lites or Mick Ultras, whatever their
choice is. You know what I'm saying, Isaac, Just keep
them away from the state trooper in the tunnel. Yeah,

(32:30):
I wonder if that guy's gonna get in trouble for that.
What do you think you think that's gonna be? Let
me tell you they lose.

Speaker 9 (32:37):
According to according to Twitter, Twitter is going crazy at
this at that individual.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Yes, well, I mean think about how far we've come.
Because week one we were doing the show together and
it was Ryan Day's nipple piercing.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
Ah.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
Yes, craz I'll tell you. I'll tell you no other
sport can compare to the cultural addendums and ancillary topics
that college football has provided us. Listen, I've been telling
people for a while, that's why you are the spiciest
update anchor on the planet. And speaking of which, the
original Louisiana Hot Sauce is the perfect balance of Pepper's

(33:12):
vinegar and salt, wings, nachos, burgers, hit any tailgate food
with the bold, handcrafted flavor of the original Louisiana Hot Sauce.
That's Louisiana Hot. Buy you some all right. So we
are going to have another edition of Do You Care
coming up here in about ten minutes from now. But
right now it's time to hand on an award on
this show. It's our TGFG Game of the Week for
Week eleven in the NFL, and the award goes.

Speaker 5 (33:33):
Two Texans at Titans talam on.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
Of course it would be the Texans in Titans. Who
else would it be? By the way, imagine having a
ticket to this game. Tennessee stinks and Houston is starving.
Is starting, Davis Mills CJ. Strouds out for another game
with a concussion that seemed like it was problematic the
second and halfened. But give Davis Mills credit. Everybody wants

(34:05):
to make jokes about the guy because he's got a
neck like a silo. He goes in there. Last week
they beat Jacksonville nice little upset depending on where you
shop for that one, and then they go into this
game probably gonna beat Tennessee. So with Davis Mills at quarterback,
it looks like the Houston Texans could go to and zero.

(34:25):
But that doesn't dismiss the fact that the Tennessee Titans
are the worst team in the league. They look like
they're on pace to pick number one overall, yet again
they've already fired their head coach. This game is borderline unwatchable.
The only reason you should watch it is because it
is a Fox game. Other than that, if you're there
attending in person, just go hang out at a bar

(34:47):
across the street and don't waste your time. So for
Week eleven in the NFL our TGFG, Game of the
Week goes to Texans and Titans. Thank God for gambling,
because if not for gambling, nobody's interested in it. At
the Jonas Knocks on x at Jonas Knox Show on
Instagram and We've got Do You Care Next Year on

(35:07):
FSR Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio. Looks like Texas A
and M is getting the ball back they have for
South Carolina to punt on fourth and seven third quarter
winding down. South Carolina's thirty to three lead is now
down to thirty to twenty four with Texas A and

(35:28):
M getting the ball deep inside their own territory to
start the fourth quarter. Yeah, I told you I didn't
feel great about that take once I dropped it that
you know, Mike Elko finalizing a six year extension and
then his team going out in the first half and
getting annihilated by South Carolina. Kind of a kind of

(35:48):
funny timing. And yeah, listen, this is what South Carolina
has done all year. Like, if there's a game they
should win or a lead they should hold on to,
they probably won't. So we will keep a post on
that throughout the course of this because that could be
a major upset in the world of college football if
South Carolina can hold on. But again, text A and
M's got the ball. Start of the fourth quarter, coming

(36:10):
up deep inside their own territory, trailing thirty to twenty four,
coming up top of next hour. A little over ten
minutes from now, somebody decided, you know what, I'm going
to break up with you first, right, somebody in the
world of football is like, I'm going to break up
with you first. That'll be yours here again, a little
over ten minutes from now. Right now, though it is

(36:31):
time for this.

Speaker 5 (36:34):
There are so many stories in the world of sports,
and most of them are a complete waste of time.
TMS here reports, let's get kinky. Here's some of the
big stories from the last week. But Jonas, the real
question is do you care?

Speaker 1 (36:49):
And for that we turn it over to our executive producer,
the one and only Bo Benzon, to find out what
people have been talking about all.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
Week, Bo Jonas, Google and Disney reached a deal yesterday
to restore ESPN and ABC programming to YouTube TV. Yes,
YouTube TV subscribers watching these games on their YouTube TV. So, Jonas,
do you care about this monumental occasion?

Speaker 1 (37:11):
No? I don't care. Oh give this I'm so I
was so tired of hearing about it. I'm so tired.
I was so tired of seeing ESPN personalities actually think
they've got enough stroke to try and get people to
go click a link to complain, Like, dude, just give
me my twenty dollars credit back and kiss my ass?
Can we move on?

Speaker 2 (37:27):
Next steph Curry is leaving under Armour and becoming a
shoe free agent. Jonas, do you care?

Speaker 1 (37:34):
Yeah, he's been with underarm twelve years or something.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
Yeah, something like thirteen years.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
Yes, long ass time. And so and I don't know
if he's gonna be doing his own thing, but I
know Jalen Brown started his own sneaker, so maybe he
looks at it this is an opportunity, Like, why do
I need to go through anybody else. Let me just
try and design my own model. Let me design my
own thing and try try and keep all the keep
all the revenue. I mean, I'm curious to see how
it plays out. I know a lot of people made

(38:00):
fun of his shoes, but it's like, dude, the guy
had a shoe deal. You know how awesome it would
be both we had a shoe deal.

Speaker 2 (38:06):
Oh my sweet, that would be Jonas twelve's.

Speaker 1 (38:09):
But no, the boat you definite. I'm not a douche, Like, no,
come on, man, you know what's mine now? This is
team effort here.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
You know what's funny about Steph doing this now, it's
like he doesn't like he doesn't have much more left
in the NBA, like his career length, so like he's
gonna go to Nike or whatever and gonna drop the
Steph Curry's and he's going to retire the next year.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Like yeah, I mean, although I would say, you know, like,
if if you were to bet right now, and I
were to say over under four and a half years
Steph Curry plays in the NBA, would you say I would.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
Take the under?

Speaker 1 (38:43):
Really? Yeah? Because I wonder I wonder how he ages
based on the fact that he's a jump shooter, like yeah,
the physical wear and tear, but he's a smaller guys just.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
But there's just been so many like little nagging injuries
for him. Like I I think people don't realize too
like how old Steph is. Like there's this idea that
he's a younger player, but because he looks young. Yeah,
it's just.

Speaker 1 (39:03):
One of those things. He he looks young, So that's
that's why people rolled him. Yeah, I man, that'd be uh,
it'll be interesting to see how that plays out.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
Next, the New Orleans parent New Orleans Pelicans. They are
off to a two in ten start, which was not
good enough for ownership, so they fired head coach Willie Green.
This morning, Jonas, do you care?

Speaker 1 (39:21):
Oh god, no, no, no, no, no, no, I don't care,
no no, no, there's the listen. It would take a
gambling story or something really salacious to get me really
interested in an NBA storyline, and unfortunately that's not that.

Speaker 2 (39:35):
Next, the San Diego Padres ownership group are reportedly exploring
a possible sale of the franchise. Jonas, do you care?

Speaker 1 (39:44):
Not really? Like, dude, can you just win some big
games for Christ's sake like that, Like, I don't want
to hear any of this. It's a beautiful ballpark, it's
a great area like that. You know, they've got a
pretty good fan base. But it's like, dude, I don't
want to hear, but you're selling this. Our TV deal
fell through. Enough's enough. Just win some big games and
make that division entertaining again.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
Next, the Dolphins GM opening is reportedly viewed around the
league as an exceptional opportunity by season. To GM's Jonas,
do you care, No.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
I care more about whether or not Mike McDaniel was
ai generated outside the elbow room trolling bills fans.

Speaker 2 (40:21):
Next, Grand Theft Doto six has been delayed once again
to November of next year, twenty twenty six. Jonas, do
you care? Because I care?

Speaker 1 (40:29):
Really? Oh my god, Grand Theft Auto guy a huge.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Grand Theft Ottle guy. I'm devastated by the way.

Speaker 1 (40:35):
Is it realistic? Like, is Grand Theft Auto pretty realistic?
Because I'm just wondering in news version is a Ryan
Berschinger's catalytic converter missing or is that just I was
just wondering what I've tried to get to the bottle
of this stuff come on now. You know there's an
art to the breakup, and somebody showed you that in

(40:55):
the world of football. We'll get into that for you
right here on Fox Sports Radio. Jonas Knox with you
here on FSR. You can listen to. This show is
always on the iHeartRadio app. You know, you can find
us on hundreds of affiliates all across the country, and
we appreciate you making us a part of your Saturday.
As we continue on another hour to play with here

(41:19):
on the air, as we are watching and monitoring closely
what could be a massive upset in the world of
college football. If I were to tell you, because this
is how you've got to sort of look at stuff
like this, if I were to tell you, hey, by
the way, eleven minutes left to go in the game,

(41:40):
and Texas A and M is trailing to South Carolina
thirty to twenty four, you would say to yourself, ooh,
does that mean that the Aggies are on upset alert?
But if I were to give you more context to
that and say, oh, and it was thirty to three
at the half, you'd say, oh, yeah, they're just gonna

(42:02):
come back and win this game. Because that's about where
we are here as Texas A and M has got
the football. They now have a first down inside the
ten with eleven minutes to go there at home at
Kyle Field, and South Carolina is clinging on to a
thirty to twenty four lead. So when I opened up
the show for the record, I just want to say this,

(42:25):
and this goes for my Knox locks as well too.
If I tell you ahead of time, then I don't
have a great feeling about the pick. And I make
a pick or give you a take that I don't
have great feeling about. But I give you the take.
If it ultimately results in the take being wrong or
the pick being wrong, I think I should at least
be given half credit. It's like insurance when you play blackjack,
Nick to ask you if you want insurance, like you

(42:46):
don't have to lose as much. I should get some
insurance here on this. That's how I feel about it.
Because Texas A and M has just scored and now
the game is tied. So whatever I said to open
up the show about Mike Elko agreeing to a six
year extension or a being finalized, and he's going to
be a top five paid college football coach, he's get
eleven million dollars a year annually, and me sort of

(43:07):
laughing at that, seeing that Texas A and M came
out and got destroyed by South Carolina in the first half.
Whatever I said back then, just for the record, I
said that it may not age well. This may not
age well, but if you were there in the moment, man,
it sounded great. It did sound great. But unfortunately, the
second half happened, the third quarter happened, and now the

(43:32):
start of the fourth quarter has happened, and it looks
like Texas A and M is going to take back
the lead. They were trailing thirty to three at half,
and it looks like Texas A and M is going
to take a lead. They've just tied it on a
touchdown extra point pending. Thirty to thirty is the score currently,
and Texas A and M is deciding whether or not
they're going to go for two or whether or not

(43:53):
they're going to just accept the made pat But we'll
keep you posting on that throughout the course the second
half of that game. There, So there you go. I'd
also like to say this elsewhere in college football, it's
supposed to be a home game for Northwestern as they're
playing Michigan, but it's at Wrigley Field, and if you
watch that game and hurt any of the crowd, I mean,

(44:15):
it basically sounds like whenever the Chargers host a game,
you know, a lot of opposing fans quote unquote seem
to enter the building. You know, It's kind of like
when the Rams are hosting a game against the Niners.
It is all Michigan fans. It's a good game. Michigan's
got a five point lead there at Wrigley Field, so

(44:35):
I mean it is a good game, but not exactly
a home field advantage for Northwestern. I would say this though,
as somebody who I view Wrigley Field is my favorite
place on the planet to watch a sporting event, Like
my favorite place to watch a sporting event. The scene,
the atmosphere, the venue. It's awesome. That place today after

(44:59):
the game around the ballpark is going to be bananas
when that game goes final in the next half hour
or so. Murphy's the Cubby Bear, the Sports Court, like
all of those places right around Wrigley Field, it is
going to be bananas. There's no better spot if you

(45:22):
want to go watch a game for the game itself,
but also go because you want to be around what's
in the vicinity. Nobody does it better than Wrigley A
lot of places have tried, they've tried to model that.
Nobody does it better than Wrigley Field or Wrigleyville. So
whatever you're doing in a half hour from now, just
know there's going to be a Michigan or a Northwestern

(45:43):
fan who's going to get destroyed at one of those
bars afterwards, and then who knows, maybe take the train home.
It's right there. It's very convenient at Jonas Knox Shaw
on Instagram as where you can also find the show.
All right, so let's talk about this the art of
the breakup. Now, there are different degrees of breaking up.

(46:08):
When you start dating somebody, you got to go through
the whole that you start to get to know them
a little bit. And then after a while, you guys
have been dating and maybe one of you gets the
sense that the other one's just not into it anymore.
And so there's a couple of different things you can do. Right,
You could talk it out and try and convince them,

(46:29):
especially if you're on the other end of the breaking up,
like if you know that that person's not into it
anymore and they're not interested. You could try and talk
them back into it. You could try and really go
over the top, you know, with gifts and pleasantries and
everything else to come along with it, to really try
and save the relationship. You could take that approach. You

(46:50):
could do, you know, the honorable thing and cheat could
do that, or before they can say it, you say
it so that way it looks like you're the one
breaking up and not actually them. Bill Belichick shows the

(47:14):
latter because he released a statement on Friday night where
it went along, you know so much as Hey, look,
there's been a lot of rumors, there's been a lot
of reports. There's been a lot of a lot of
stuff out there, and we've been you know, there's been

(47:34):
mentions about this stuff. But you know, Belichick wanted to
get out of this, wanted to show some commitment, wanted
to let let everybody know that he was serious about
North Carolina, that he's not out there flirting around. He's
not out there, you know, messing around with anybody else.
He's heard about the Giants, rumors, he's heard about all
that stuff, and so he took to social media to

(47:55):
post the following. I have great respect and genuinely care
for the New York Jets organization, and both of them
are and Tish families. The New York Giants played an
important role in my life and in my coaching journey.
It was a privilege for me to work for the
Merra family and be a member of coach Parcel's staff
for over a decade. However, despite circulating rumors, I have

(48:16):
not and will not pursue any NFL head coaching vacancy
since arriving in Chapel Hill. My commitment to the UNC
football program is not waivered. We have tremendous support from
the university, our alumni, and the entire Carolina community. My
focus remains solely on continuing to improve this team, develop
our players, and build a program that makes tar Heel

(48:36):
fans proud. We're on to wake Forest coach Bill Belichick.
He had no chance of getting that job, literally none.
There's and this is not throwing shade it at Bill Belichick.
If you heard me talk earlier, I mentioned you know
Raheem Morris is you know, trying to back you know,

(48:58):
Michael Pennix junior. While I don't take his words out
of context and all this, like, no, I'm with you,
but here's what else is true. Atlanta stinks and you
were the guy they chose over Bill Belichick, which I
thought was a mistake at the time. I still think
it's a mistake. But like what has happened with Belichick

(49:19):
and North Carolina and all that stuff, and whether you
think it was his performance was disappointing. I would love
to see Belichick in New York with the Giants, just
based on the fact that nobody loves and respects that
organization more than he does. There was a documentary on
NFL Network years ago where Belichick was talking about his

(49:41):
time with New York and the Giants, and he went
back to Giant Stadium and he got emotional, like thinking
about all the time he spent there, like all the
years he spent with Bill Parcells, and like he got
emotional because of how much that organization meant to him.
It like, in a perfect world, it would make all
the sense in the world Belichick going back to coach

(50:02):
the Giants. I would love to see it happen. Would
love to It's not going to happen because I think
Belichick has realized I've got to whether you want to
call it, you know, fix the reputation or fix the
narrative surrounding him as a coach. Whatever it is, he's
going to try and do it at North Carolina. And

(50:22):
by the way, they're playing better. They've got to win
two of their last three in order to become Bowl eligible,
but they are playing better if you watch them, if
you watch the way this is gone, they are playing better.
And with the transfer portal and nil and all this stuff,
who knows, man, if they get some of the money
that you know, reportedly they were over discussing, you know,

(50:43):
on Michael Lombardi's trip to Saudi. If they get some
of that money, who knows, Maybe North Carolina is a
player next year. But I think Belichick recognizes I've got
to do some some repairing of my reputation here, and
I think the Giants do as well too, because the
Giants can not take any chances, and at Belichick's age,
the Giants have got to show some sort of promise

(51:04):
for the future and show some sort of long term
plan because as it stands right now, that team's awful,
and everybody talks about how prestigious the organization and is,
how proud the organization is and all the great traditions
they have. They've been bad for a decade, like real bad.

(51:25):
There's one team in the NFL that's got a worse
record over the last ten years than the Giants. I'll
give you a hint. They share the building like they're awful.
Both of them are bad. So I think the Giants
will get this and go man a look. In a
perfect world a few years. Yeah, we would have loved

(51:47):
to add Bill Belichick, but they've got to show some
sort of long term plan and they're not sure how
much longer Belichick's going to do this. It would make
just based on his history, based on has passed, it
would make all the sense of the word. Like I said,
I would love for it to happen. It's just not
gonna happen. But Belichick's approach is like, dude, am I

(52:09):
gonna wait for them to say no to me? No,
I'll pass. No, I'm good here, you know what I mean? Like, no,
I'm good. It's like going to an open house of
a place you can't afford and telling them, yeah, we're
not interested. Excuse you, dude, you're homeless. What do you

(52:29):
what do you mean, you're not interested, you don't qualified No, no, no,
but I said it first. Belichick's basically saying, no, I'm
gonna break up first. Whatever. Listen, whatever's going on here,
I'm gonna break up first. I'm the one telling you, no,
I'm not interested. Okay. It would be like me walking
up to an NBA GM and being like, yeah, I'm

(52:51):
just not interested in your league. Uh no, genetics weren't
interested in our league. Yeah, that's that's that's how that went.
Thank you though. So Belichick just getting ahead of it.
Nothing wrong with that, and the Giants are going to
go in another direction. The Giants are going to go,
you know, hire somebody that's gonna whether you know, you

(53:12):
want to say Lane Kiffin. Lane Kiffin's kind of shot
that down, but you know, somebody worked with Jackson Dart.
Like I said, I would love for it to be
Belichick at this point, timing ain't right on either side
at the Jonas Knocks on X at Jonas Knock Show
on Instagram. By the way, quick update from college station
Texas A and M with a thirty one thirty lead
over South Carolina so twenty eight unanswered points in the

(53:35):
second half with under seven minutes left to go in
that game, and it looks like Texas A and M
is stepping on the gas, and it looks like they're
going to avoid a major upset at home against South Carolina.
All right, coming up next here on the show, we
are going to tell you about some drama in the NFL.
And right when you thought, right when you thought it

(53:58):
was because of one player, A, inherently it's because of
a bunch of players on the same team. That's yours
here on FSR Boom Texas for Jonas Jonas Knox, Fox
Sports Radio. Before we get to some drama in the NFL,
a quick update from a couple of potential upsets in

(54:21):
college football. Michigan had the ball driving at Wrigley Field
against Northwestern, trailing twenty two to twenty one. Bryce Underwood
picked off with Michigan approaching the red zone. Northwestern gets
the ball, goes three and out. Michigan is forced to

(54:43):
punt so the Wolverines will get the ball back trailing
seven and a half minutes left to go there in
Wrigley Field, trying to avoid that upset in what feels
like a Michigan home game with all the Wolverine fans
there at Wrigley Field to watch that one, and then
elsewhere Texas A and M, with trailing thirty to three
at the half, they scored twenty eight unanswered points. They

(55:07):
had the ball again with a thirty one to thirty
lead in about six minutes and change left to go
on that game at home at College Station in College
Station rather against South Carolina, and it looks like there
was a behind the line of scrimmage pass by Texas
A and M that resulted in a fumble and a
recovery by South Carolina, but they are reviewing that to

(55:30):
see whether or not South Carolina recovered the ball inbounds.
If so, the call on the field would stand in
South Carolina would have the ball back, trailing by a
point thirty one to thirty on the road at Texas
A and M deep inside their own territory, but with
a shot to go down the field and maybe pull

of your screen. Coming up here in about ten minutes
from now. The Boogeyman is back in the NFL. All right,
he is back. We'll tell you who that is. That'll
be yours here again on FSR. So this report came
out according to Diana Rossini of The Athletic. You know,

(58:22):
aj Brown has been very frustrated with his role with
the Eagles offense or in the Eagles offense rather, and
you know, he'd like, you know, to be relied on
more and be a bigger factor. I mean, he's a receiver.
He's got all the attributes of being a number one
receiver when he's getting the ball, and he's shown that
in his career, but unfortunately the Eagles offense has not

(58:43):
really showcased that. And so he was frustrated this week.
He went to Twitch, he talked about it afterwards, just
said he's not, you know, not thrilled and thinks the
offense could be more and so on and so on.
But this is part for the course. AJ Brown has
done this multiple times over the past couple of years.
He's complained multiple times. They've had to address it multiple
times over the past couple of years. And so you

(59:05):
see that and you go, well, this must be just
an AJ Brown thing, eh. According to Diana Rossini quote.
After doing some digging and asking people inside the Eagles building,
it was explained that multiple offensive players have grown frustrated
with Jalen Hurts's approach this season, particularly against zone coverage.

(59:27):
They believe he's become hesitant and tight windows, leaning on
checkdowns or scrambles instead of trusting what's open downfield. I mean,
it just feels like if it's not one thing, it's
something else. With the Eagles, it feels like, if it's

(59:47):
not Aj Brown, it was going to be some other
report that came out. This is not the first time
this has happened. There's been conversations about Jalen Hurts before.
You know, sort of how he's viewed in the locker room,
does he rub people the wrong way? Like there's been
stuff like this that's been out here before, so this
is not anything new. It just is kind of funny

(01:00:10):
that all of this is happening, and usually it's only
AJ Brown who goes public with it. Now, whether this
report from Diana Rassini has got validity and whether you
know this is you know, harrassing AJ Brown and him
you know, trying to speak on behalf of the rest
of the locker room, whatever you want to call it.

(01:00:32):
For whatever reason, it's only AJ Brown is the guy
that goes public with it. And at a certain point, Yeah,
Nick Sirianni's tired of hearing about it. Jalen Hurts is
probably tired of being asked about it because it's only
AJ Brown who makes this a story. And it's not
to say that he doesn't have a gripe, but why

(01:00:53):
always take it public for what? Clearly it doesn't help,
because you've done it multiple times before and there's still
an issue, So why go public with it? They don't
want to trade him. If they wanted to trade him,
they would have done it the deadline, trust me. Howie
Roseman if he wants somebody gone or wants to make
a move and acquire somebody, he'll make the move. But

(01:01:14):
it's only AJ Brown that complains. Have you heard a
peep from Saquon Barkley? You think AJ Brown's got to complain?
Have you heard anything from Saquon Barkley. Saquon Barkley ran
for two thousand yards last year, one of the great
seasons we've ever seen at the position, could have possibly
broken the all time record. Was an NBP candidate last year.

(01:01:37):
Saquon Barkley is on pace right now to maybe break
a thousand yards maybe, and he was Russian for two
grand last year. Sekon Barkley didn't say anything. You don't
hear anything from Saquon Barkley, And I think that's where
this sort of gets lost because it's the same guy

(01:01:59):
complaining every time, Like, yeah, maybe a couple of guys
talked to Diana Rossini and you know aired out Jalen
Hurts and their frustration with you know, some of his
decision making down the field. Bottom line is AJ Brown's
not alone, clearly, but they're seven and two, Like this
team could have a bye week and be the one

(01:02:21):
set again. They just won a Super Bowl. So like,
if I'm Jalen Hurts, I'm looking around going, wait a second,
you guys aren't happy with how I'm operating the offense.
Yet here we are sitting as the one seed in
the conference and just won a Super Bowl. They've lost
a handful of games in like fifteen months, so this hole.

(01:02:46):
Oh and by the way, like Kevin Petulo, their offensive coordinator,
it's his first year. The guy they won it with
last year is now coaching the Saints. So this whole conversation,
if I'm Jalen Hurts, I'm looking around going, yeah, you
guys are upset. Like you guys are going and talking
to reporters. You're complaining about it on Twitch streams, and

(01:03:06):
we're sitting here at seven and two. I don't have
time for that crap at the Jonas Knocks on X
at Jonas Knox Show on Instagram. But he can hang
out with us as always on the iHeartRadio app. All right,
so we are going to tell you about the Boogieyman,
the Boogeyman that is back in the NFL. That'll be
yours here on FSR. But for all the latest from

(01:03:27):
around the world of Sports with updates from Rigley Field
from College Station. He's the man with the plan. He's
the one and only, Sir Isaac.

Speaker 9 (01:03:38):
Lohnkrom, And we have an update from Denver as well.
Out of the NFL, multiple outlets reporting a short time ago,
Bronco's running back JK. Dobbin's gonna need season ending surgery
due to a ligament injury in his foot. In college football,
right now, number three Texas A and M holding onto
a thirty one to thirty lead over South Carolina at

(01:03:59):
the two minuted warning. South Carolina has a second and
one at its forty yard line. South Carolina led this
game thirty to three three and a half minutes into
the third quarter. Texas A and M quarterback Marcel Reid
came back with three touchdown passes in the span of
nine minutes and twenty three seconds, and then Texas A
and M would take the lead early in the fourth

(01:04:19):
quarter on Caseyne run.

Speaker 1 (01:04:21):
To the right side, run into the zone, touchdown leggies
we are tied.

Speaker 9 (01:04:30):
Extra point would give him a thirty one to thirty lead.
Then Texas A and M had a second in goal
off the South Carolina one. They tried a crazy trick
play and bumbled it two South Carolina. South Carolina then
converted a fourth down and six from its thirteen yard line,
and again they have a second and one at their
forty two minutes left in the fourth quarter, with Texas

(01:04:53):
A and M holding on to a thirty one to
thirty lead. Now, as Jonas and I were discussing earlier
in the day, as part of South Carolina taking that
big lead, they scored on an eighty yard touchdown pass
to Nick Harbor.

Speaker 1 (01:05:06):
Harbor ran up the.

Speaker 9 (01:05:07):
Tunnel because his momentum carried him up the tunnel past
the corner of the end zone. As he and another
South Carolina player were coming back down the tunnel, they
accidentally bumped into a Texas State trooper. The state trooper
got very upset started yelling at both players. Lebron James

(01:05:28):
even weighed in on the incident, posting quote that an
m cop needs to be suspended. That was premeditated and
corny af he went out.

Speaker 1 (01:05:39):
Of his way to start some bleep. Do better man well.

Speaker 9 (01:05:43):
A short time ago, the Texas Department of Public Safety
post of the following quote. The Texas DPS is aware
of the incident that occurred today. The DPS trooper involved
was sent home from the game. Our Office of Inspector
General will be further looking.

Speaker 1 (01:06:01):
In to the matter. Unquote.

Speaker 9 (01:06:03):
So agad A lot going on today in college station,
A lot going on at Wrigley Field.

Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
So much for giving somebody a home field advantage. Guys
trying to do his part and they kick them out
of the game.

Speaker 9 (01:06:13):
He was just trying to show Apparently he was just
trying to play defense. So the discussion will continue there
on social media. Meanwhile, at Wrigley Field, Number eighteen, Michigan
led Northwestern twenty one to nine with thirteen oh one
left in the fourth quarter, but Northwestern has come back
with back to back touchdowns for the lead. They're now
up twenty two to twenty one over Michigan three point

(01:06:36):
thirty four left in the fourth quarter and Northwestern has
the ball.

Speaker 1 (01:06:40):
Number nine. Does Michigan have five turnovers? And there they do.
It's like they're motions.

Speaker 9 (01:06:44):
Twenty eighteen, Number nine Notre Dame up thirty seven to
nine and twenty second ranked Pittsburgh with one forty three
left in the fourth quarter. Navy holding on to a
forty one thirty eight lead over Number twenty four South
Florida in the final seconds of the fourth quarter. Earlier today,
Umber two Indiana improved to eleven and zero with a
thirty one to seven win over Wisconsin. And finally, Jonas,

(01:07:05):
we have a Spain soccer egg throwing update. Alright, remember
a couple of years ago when Spain won the Women's
World Cup and moments after during the no, I don't
did they they did? Moments afterwards at the Oh you'll
remember this. Moments after they won the Women's World Cup,
the creepy president of the Spanish Soccer Federation, a guy

(01:07:31):
named Luis ruby Aalis, grabbed one of the Spain players
and kissed her in the mouth without her consent. You
remember that, and the guy subsequently resigned. Well, that same guy,
Luis ruby Aalis, is coming out with a new book.
They were holding an event to promote the book. He
was up on stage when suddenly some guy started throwing

(01:07:55):
eggs at him from the audience. Listen, guy fired three
eggs at him, And the reason we're relating this story
to you the egg thrower turned out to be Luis
ruby Allis's own uncle.

Speaker 1 (01:08:13):
Back to you, Oh, well, that's unfortunate. How much of
a jerk.

Speaker 9 (01:08:19):
Do you have to be for your own uncle to
throw eggs at you at a public event?

Speaker 1 (01:08:24):
I don't know, my uncle's dead, what do I know?
I mean, look, but but I mean, if you know,
if he was a scumbag anyways, So yeah, but look,
you know clearly that guy's got you know, some poor
decision making, so he's probably pissed off parts of his family.
So you know what they're like. Listen, we don't want
to get too aggressive, but you know, they'll bring bring
some some wabbles and they'll start firing him up on

(01:08:46):
stage and uh, you know, let him know we're not
messing around here. By the way, it was, when's the
last time somebody egged your house? Anybody ever ate your house?
No one has ever egged my house.

Speaker 9 (01:08:57):
But someone did toilet paper in my house in junior
high and the investigation is still open. Also someone also
someone glued my locker, glued the lock of my locker
shut in junior high and that investigation is also still open.

Speaker 1 (01:09:10):
Well, I mean, you know, not to ruin your day,
but I don't think they're going to find the guy.
Here's here's the other part about eggs. Eggs destroy things
like if you throw eggs at a house or at
lands on a wall or something like. We had junior
senior wars. Did you have that when you were in
high school? Like junior senior wars?

Speaker 9 (01:09:29):
No, all four classes, all four classes were always in conflict.

Speaker 1 (01:09:34):
So yeah, look, I mean, you know because you went
to Compton High correct. I went to University High School
in Irvine. Oh okay, same thing. But so we had
junior senior wars. And the juniors annihilated our house, like
came by and they threw eggs, and then they scorted

(01:09:54):
mustard on the wall. So the mustard was almost impossible
to get off. The eggs that dried, and the sun
came out and just was beating down on the eggs
before we could see it the morning sun. So that
was almost impossible to get off. And then these idiots
like you know started you know, sneaking on and like
you know, teepeeing the trees and all that, and they

(01:10:15):
had some stuff like I think it was like they
had apples or something along those lines, like they were
going to do something with apples. They were gonna like,
you know, like for some reason, they brought a bunch
of apples. I remember this. Well, we woke up and
we knew that they were there, but they're so dumb
that they parked going up the street, not realizing they
were going to have to circle back around to come down.

(01:10:37):
So we just walked out, nonchalant. Me, my brother, and
my nephew walked out nonchalant. We had a full produce
aisle sitting on the front lawn and just waited for
them to come down. And it was that that that
it's the fast thing in the world. Like they tried
to brank us and they got smoked.

Speaker 9 (01:10:55):
Great serious societal question here at your alma mater, which
I'm sure you are a distinguished alumnus of. Do you
think they still have junior senior wars or has the
tradition been left in the dust by the advent of
technology and social media and everyone's so busy on their
phones they can't do creative stuff like that that builds character.

Speaker 1 (01:11:17):
Yeah, I don't know. They're probably like, you know, snapchatting,
like you know, fake crank picks to each other and
stuff like that. Like the good old days where you
would just like throw produce at someone's house, you know,
or eggs. You know. It's good to see you know
that this you know this, this Hornball's uncle. You know
at least brought back the egging tradition. You know what
I mean. Come on, it's just fun. We got we

(01:11:41):
gotta get with it. Yeah, it is Jonas Knox here
on Fox Sports Radio, and he's Isaac. By the way,
if you wondered why this conversation was steered into the ditch,
that right there is the guy behind the wheel. Just
want everybody to know that. All right, I try and
do an above board show here, a professional broadcast, and
it's usually Isaac that steers us into the ditch.

Speaker 3 (01:11:58):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:11:58):
Check your house when you wake up tomorrow morning. So
it'll be an improvement, trust me. All right, So we're
going to have another edition of Knox Locks that'll be
yours coming up here in about ten minutes from now.
I did want to mention this before we mention all
of the conversation about the Boogeyman, which should be arriving
here shortly in the NFL, I want to let you

(01:12:20):
know that the original Louisiana hot sauce is the perfect
bounce of Pepper's vinegar and salt wings, nachos, burgers, hit
any tailgate food with the bold, handcrafted flavor of the
original Louisiana Hot sauce. That's Louisiana Hot. Buy you some.
If you see kickers in the NFL miss, you know,

(01:12:41):
a relatively decent amount of kicks, you know something because
we've seen kickers misskicks before. But if you notice, like, hey, man,
like a lot of Pat's miss a lot of a
lot of field goals missed, like seems like, you know,
pretty make up. But if you see like a decent
amount of kicks missed in the league this weekend, all right,
then you're thinking, so, what must be the weather? You know,

(01:13:02):
maybe they haven't had enough time to work on the
kicking balls like they normally do. It's not it's because
the Boogeyman is back. Justin Tucker's suspension has ended. Okay,
he's arguably the greatest of all time. He's got some

(01:13:25):
weird fetishes, but listen, that was in the past. He's
back off suspension and he's a free agent. So if
you see some kickers around the league, and I don't
know if there's an overall prop bet on DraftKings, I'm
sure you know somebody can find it. I don't know
if there's an overall prop bet on DraftKings as far
as over under on number of missed kicks or pats

(01:13:46):
this weekend. I would lean towards the over based on
maybe some nervousness, maybe some tightening up from some guys
around the league who have kind of been a little
wishy what they're kicking this year, because the Boogeyman is back.
He's a free agent, you know, he wants back in

(01:14:07):
the league, and there's gonna be some guys looking over
their shoulder going, uh oh, the goat is back, and
we could be out of a job if we don't
keep up our end of the bargain and perform at
a high level this weekend. Just saying something to keep
an eye on in the NFL. At the Jonas Knox
on X at Jonas Knox Show on Instagram, and up

(01:14:27):
next we are going to close up shop with the
week eleven edition of Knox Locks and it's yours here
on FSR Jonas Knox Fox Sports Radio. It's a final
at Wrigley Field, which, by the way, UH enjoyed if

(01:14:48):
you can. There's not a lot of games played at
Wrigley Field this late in the year, so I just
want to say everybody enjoy the festivities there. But it's
the final. Michigan a walk off field goal and a
twenty four to twenty two win over Northwestern as Michigan
survives and avoids the upset to Northwestern despite five turnovers

(01:15:13):
in that game. So it was ugly not a great
performance at all from Michigan, but they'll take it and
Michigan survives on that walk off field goal at Wrigley Field.
Twenty four to twenty two is the final there, and
Texas A and M they also avoid the upset. Texas
A and M was trailing thirty to three at the half.

(01:15:34):
I said in the midst of a take to open
the show that it was a bit comical that Texas
A and M was announcing this contract extension for Mike
Elko their head coach, six year deal reportedly, and he's
going to be paid top five money in the world
of college football. And as it turns out, after first

(01:16:00):
half and wish they are trailing thirty to three, they
score twenty eight unanswered and they beat South Carolina thirty
one to thirty. So that take diet on the vine
as expected, and that's the that's the way this show
goes and the way this story goes. So there's all that.
By the way, stick around a little over ten minutes
from now, you're gonna hear from Tracy Sandler and Nikki
k They'll have you covered here. All sorts of college

(01:16:22):
football NFL conversation to be had as well too. If
you've missed any of this show today outside of I
wouldn't go back and listen to that stuff on Mike Golko.
I just will kind of skip past that if you can.
But if you've missed any of this other show today,
you can check out the podcast. Just search Fox Sports
Radio Wevergage podcast. Right after the show, Today's pot will
be posted. Be sure to follow it rated five stars.

(01:16:44):
You can even provide a review. Again. Just search Fox
Sports Radio Wevergage Podcast. You'll find today's full show posted
right after we get out the air. I'm going to
tweet out a link to that as well too, at
the Jonas Knox. It's at the Jonas Knox on X
and I will attach a link to that in the
ig st for the show at Jonas knock Show on Instagram.
Follow along there. At Jonas knock Show. You can also

(01:17:06):
see the insulting tweets that have been sent over the
unedited versions of all those they're already posted up there
in the IG stories as well again at Jonas knock Show.
But right now it's time for.

Speaker 5 (01:17:16):
This locked it. Let's locked it and.

Speaker 1 (01:17:21):
Knox Locks. I mean, let's just get into it. I
told you last week, much like I told you in
the middle of making fun of the Mike Elko extension,
in the midst of them getting wiped out in the
first half to South Carolina. I told you, but I
didn't feel great about it. Okay, this could this could
very well be a disappointing week when it comes to
Knox Locks. I didn't like a lot of these picks,

(01:17:44):
and so we went with the Patriots and the Buccaneers.
I like Tampa Bay minus two and a half. I
was not a believer in New England. I was a
believer in New England, but maybe not so as much
as everybody else. And we've seen since oh yeah, they're
for real. They've got a quarterback, they've got a head coach,
and Tampa Bay really struggled to get anything going. So
that was a loss. We also lost Monday Night Football,

(01:18:07):
in which I had the Packers minus one against the Eagles.
I thought for sure green Bay was gonna respond when
you look like you look the way they did at
home against Carolina, I thought, even though it's the Eagles,
I think green Bay is gonna win this game. I'll
settle for a push for them being a one point favorite,
but maybe green Bay will get no. They were terrible
and now we're talking about Matt Lafleur's job security for

(01:18:29):
some reason. So that was a loss. But thankfully the
Rams minus four and a half hit at the forty
nine ers. I liked LA in that matchup, a revenge
spot for Sean McVay based on the matchup earlier this year.
We won that a one and two performance last week
sixteen and fourteen on the season, which brings us to
Week eleven.

Speaker 5 (01:18:49):
The Buccaneers aid Bills.

Speaker 1 (01:18:51):
I'm gonna take Buffalo here minus five and a half.
I know it's a bounce back spot for both of
these teams, but Buffalo really needs to improve on what
over the hell that was last week. Very disappointing performance.
They were awful. Josh Allen called his team out and
himself out afterwards. I'm gonna go with the Bills minus
five and a half. Look, Chargers and Jaguars. Look, everyone's

(01:19:13):
gonna make a big to do about this being a
playoff rematch from a few years ago. I got news
for you. If anybody's followed the Chargers, you know this
is a typical letdown spot for that team. I'll take
the Jags plus three. Look, she said, Broncos. You heard
Isaac mention it. JK. Dobbins is now out. They've obviously

(01:19:34):
missing Alex Singleton a thousand oaks high. By the way,
they're missing Patrick's curtain like they are banged up, and
offensively they have not looked good at all. I've been
Kansas City with Andy Reid coming in off a bike,
goes in there and gets it done. Give me the
Chiefs minus three and a half. And that is your
Week eleven edition of Knox Locks. For Bo Benson, for
Chris Purfett, for Isaac Lohenkron, appreciate you hanging out with

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
