the text messages I've gotten from him today and that
managed Brady Quinn. Oh, thank you, thank you Jonas. Right
back at you, buddy. Um. By the way, I appreciate
you sending your notes right before the show for tonight's show,
So I appreciate that. But dude, here's the thing is,
I'm so excited for the show because and we get

(01:31):
to hang out, like like, that's what this is for
all those people out there right now who are quarantine.
You're sitting in your house, You're like, what do I
want to do for the next three hours? Come hang
out with us, like I come. We'll talk some sports
really pretty much NFL because that's the only thing on
right now, maybe some horse racing. Is anything happened in
sant Aita. Let me just tell you something. I don't
know exactly what's happening in Santa Anita, but over the

(01:54):
past eighteen months to two years at Santa Anita Racetrack,
there's been a lot of tents that have been b
out onto the track. That way, a lot of medical
tents have been brought out onto the track. Imagine this.
I'm with a buddy. He takes his son Okay to
a horse race rob in Chicago. I think it's like
a million dollar person. It was a big one, right,
And uh, I'm sitting there thinking to myself, when's the

(02:15):
last time I've been to a horse race? And I
think the last horse race I had been to a
horse had broken its leg and they ended up having
to put it down right there on the track. And
and sure enough, this happens at this particular day with
my buddying his son, and he's sitting there trying to
explain to his son why they're bringing out the white sheet.
And I'm like, this is something that I never thought

(02:36):
in fatherhood I would have to prepare myself for. Is
like the day where you'd have to explain to a
young man or woman why they're bringing out the white
sheet for a horse like that. And look when when
we kid and we joke, but in all seriousness, there's
something going on down there. Somebody needs to get to
the bottom of that, because not many, not enough people
besides Steve de Seger are paying attention to that situation.
I'm paying attention to it because it's discussed here locally

(02:59):
from time to time. I do like you take that back.
There's a demographic out there that is paying attention to it.
In fact, they might be you know, like most places
like bars restaurants are shut down. If you know the
right guy, you may be able to find yourself in
a back room where there's betting going on. Oh yeah,
listen for you degenerate flunkey gamblers. And you know who
you are. You're the one that just got a guilty

(03:20):
cloud hovering over your head when I mentioned the word gambling,
because you're you're hoping that your better half doesn't find
out that you blew through your kid's birthday fund because
you had the number five horses Santa Anita in race
ten yesterday. Let me just tell you something. We are
the show for you, because while everybody out there is
all panicked and worried and you should be over the
pandemic and the coronavirus and everything that is happening, how

(03:43):
about this show opening up, getting your mind clearly away
from the bad news and talking strictly about horses dying
on a track. That is Brady Quinn's finest work and
his finest open here on sports Radio. So a job
well done here, Brady Quinn, job well done by you.
Thank you, thank you, and then transitioning into other news
and sports. I'm sure if you saw this past week,

(04:06):
Tom Brady is no longer in New England, Patriot. Look,
I'm not trying to brag, and you know me, I'm
a humble guy from humble beginnings. I'm not trying to
brag or anything like that. But now that you hear
that he has officially signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
don't you go back to three four months ago when
I told you right here on the air here at
Fox Sports Radio that Tom Brady would be the quarterback

(04:26):
for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If you I mean said
Las Vegas? Pretty sure? He said, Las Vegas. Oh okay,
what I meant to say was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
because now I know that nobody can admit that they just,
you know, kind of butchered that one and got it
all wrong. I don't know when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
started creeping up as a possibility, but all of a sudden,

(04:47):
Tom Brady's out of New England. He's in Florida. He'll
be the quarterback for the Bucks. Um, how surprised, I'll
just throw the question at you, how surprised? Were you
that he decided on Tampa Bay instead of going back
to New England. Well, let me first by answering when, uh,
when I guess people started to become in the know
about Tampa It first started when the head coach there,

(05:08):
Bruce Arians, basically openly tampered in staid he'd love to
have coach Tom Brady, He'd love for him to be
a Tampa Bay buck um. And then for those of
you that don't understand how this all works, so technically
Tom Brady before last year, he exercised or got put
into his contract the ability to become a free agent

(05:28):
and not be franchise tag by the Patriots come the
day before the the start of the new league year.
So that was this past Wednesday was the start of
new league gear Tuesday. Technically it kicked into gear when
he no longer could be franchise tagged and he could
have could become a free agent. So how this works
is even though on Monday they had this thing called

(05:50):
a legal tampering period, if you will, which is contradicting
in an entitle itself, but I think they're here north
there um. So technically, during that period on Monday, when
teams are calling around negotiating with players and their agents.
If they were calling Tom Brady, that technically was illegal,
they weren't really allowed to. But but no one even
no one even takes that really seriously anymore. Teams talk

(06:11):
about trades, talk about free agents with agents at the combine,
you know, dating back to February. So none of this,
this this ball was put into motion back when their
head coach expressed a desire to want to play with
Tom Brady openly had said that, and so it started there.
Then when Ryan Tannonhill, when he signed his extension with

(06:33):
the Tennessee Titans, all of a sudden that Tampa Bay
Bucks for whatever reason, and this happened to be based
upon the William Hill book that I looked at, they
jumped up. They actually leap frogged I believe the Charges
who were ahead of them at that point. The Titans
were in that mix too as well as the Bucks.
No one had to really separated themselves. The Bucks then

(06:54):
leap frogged into second place, and then the Patriots, who
were the favorite, the even slid even closer and closer
to the Bucks. And as momentum build, you got the
sense that this was headed. You know, the Patriots and
Tom Brady were headed in two different directions. Uh So,
to answer your question of whether I was surprised, I
was more surprised by how it went down. And I

(07:17):
think you can all relate to this in relationships if
you had been with someone, or let's say you've been
with a company for twenty years. There's a lot of
build up equity there is there not like there's a
lot of history. There's a lot of emotions. And I
was surprised that the conversation didn't go like this, Tom
Brady says the rober Kraft. Look, I want to become
a free agent. I want to see what my market

(07:38):
value is. But you guys have been great to me.
So I will come back to you after I figure
out what else is out there for me, and we
can have a final conversation before I decide if I
want to move on or not. Like that's how relationships works,
and sometimes that's how you know it works in business.
When you've been one place so long, usually you give
them that last right of refusal, or you you kind

(08:00):
of give them one last chance. And in this case,
like Tuesday night came Tom Brady Robert Craft got together
and that was it. Man. He just said, I'm becoming
a free agent and he's moving on now to the
Tampa Bay Bucks. I was surprised that New England didn't
get a last shot at Tom Brady before we moved on.
It just tells me that he was ready to leave
probably a while ago, like that he had come to

(08:21):
terms with the idea that I'm at of here um
And and I think that I, first of all, I
was surprised just because I, I, like a lot of people,
had a blind spot. I couldn't picture him anywhere other
than New England because it's all that we've known for
for two decades basically, And so I had a blind
spot thinking he would actually ever leave to go somewhere else.
But when you look back, a lot of the signs

(08:43):
were there, I mean, you know, making sure that he
could get out of the contract. Like you said, they
couldn't franchise him afterwards. Um. You talked to enough people
that cover the Patriots in and around Boston, they'll tell
you last August um Brady almost walked out of camp
um that he was angry about it. Where they were
sitting contractually. So there were there were signs there. He

(09:03):
also looked and we talked about it on the show.
There were times during the season he looked miserable, man like,
he looked like he just he he wasn't happy there,
He wasn't excited about being there. I know he was
bothered they got rid of Antonio Brown. I had no
issue with it based on what happened and sort of
Antonio Brown's comments afterwards. I think you understood though right
at the unerstand the guy rid of Antonio Brown. But

(09:24):
it just it felt to me when you saw his
interactions on the sideline, he was deeply frustrated and I
think it got to the point to where he was
just ready to go and when an opportunity presented itself,
and it was an opportunity to go play for a
coach that is the complete opposite of Bill Belichick. You
could not find anybody more opposite than Bill Belichick's approach
and Bruce Arians, I think he just decided it was

(09:45):
time and he and he was ready to leave. He
was ready to bounce. I would say this, Um, I
don't think he's the complete opposite. Bruce Arians will be
really hard on Tom Brady. The differences is there's kind
of that like being like tough love, right, And I
think the problem with Bill Belichick and Tom Brady's relationship
was it was purely just tough and it wasn't much love.

(10:08):
And I think it was just professional. And it's funny
because I always think about, like why Bill Belichick is
the way he is, you know, why he wouldn't be,
you know, trying to do all he can to maintain
Tom Brady as his quarterback until he wants to finish,
you know, until he wants to say it called quits.
Like it always bobbles my mind why a coach wouldn't

(10:30):
want a guy who I think we would all agree
is the greatest quarterback of all time, greatest player of
all time. And I go back to thinking about the
the impact that Bill Parcels had on his career and
then the breakup between Bill Parcels and Bill Belichick. And
I think about that break up between those two and
and Belichick moving on to become the head coach in

(10:54):
the New England Patriots and not taking the New York
job like Bill Parcels wanted. And I think, but I
think about the differences between the two as well. You know,
Bill Parcels is the type where you know, he knew
what buttons to push with guys and which one is
not to And that's why a guy like lt was
able to play the way he was as a giant
with Parcels as his head coach. I don't know how

(11:15):
he would have played if Belichick was the head coach,
because Belichick seems to be the guy that he's a motivator.
He's tough on guys, but he also has that that
distance kind of apart from them, where Parcels could turn
it off and turn it on, and he could be
your worst enemy or your best friend, but he knew
exactly when to turn you know, kind of push that
button or not in order to motivate you. It doesn't

(11:36):
seem like it's like that with Belichick. It seems like
he's just indifferent. And I think that's he's got one speed.
A lot of people are like that. Okay, you probably
fall into that category. Bobo has told me he's got
four speeds. I don't even know what that means, but
all know it's I think there's I think there there's
something to that, like just even how he's handled the

(11:58):
relationship where it's Okay, tom Brady's different, like like like
you can handle him differently, then you handle the rest
of the team. I know that's not as mantra. I
know everyone's gonna do their job, like I get it.
But there's times when Tom Brady has gone above and
beyond his job in order to help them win Super
Bowls and win games and has played incredible throughout his
his his life and clutched throughout his career. And so

(12:20):
it's to me, I'm like, if I'm any other player
in that locker room and they treat Tom Brady different, Okay, dude,
he's got six Super Bowl rings, He's been the nine
Super Bowls. Like, I'm okay if Bill Belichick treats some different.
But I just get the sense that it came to
a point where maybe it was tired of it. The
grass looks greener, and he's looking for an opportunity in Tampa.
I just I can't. I can't get over looking at

(12:40):
a Pewter jersey. You know it's not Tampa Bucks. I mean,
think about that. What's your team, Colors, bro, We're Pewter,
h We're Pewter and bread or Pewter and maroon or whatever.
Let me tell you something. If they don't go back
to the creamsicles after this signing, it is a a
a drastic mistake, I mean, a just a devastating approach
to the season. Go back to the cane. I agree.

(13:03):
I agree, because there their uniforms right now are awful.
It looks like it looks like an etch a sketch
at an eight year old did when you gave him
three different options. Like they honestly look like the l
A Wildcats jerseys of the XFL. Like they're not that
far off they need to terrible. Although I'll be honest
with you, at this rate, I'll take any team seriously

(13:23):
is on the television. I'll take any secret, by the way,
a little secret. If you're going to get a new car, okay,
you can always get a deal on a Pewter colored car.
I'm just telling you right now. They will never tell
you that. If you were looking for a newer used
car and that in that color and you ask him
what what color is that exactly and they say Pewter
asked them to knock off another five thousand bucks, they

(13:43):
will do it. I guarantee you absolutely. And speaking of cars,
when you do get that Pewter car. You can use
Geico because we're coming to you alive from the Geico
Fox Sports Radio Studios. Brady Brady Quinn Jonas knocks here
on fs are just a broadcast professional just it's just
just how it's done, Brady. All right, Coming up next,
there is one player currently on the open market that

(14:05):
might have the most interesting destination ahead. Find out who
we're talking about next year on FSR. Jesus, way to
bring the energy, bra My god, can we get something
upbeat here? Man? People are locked in their houses. They
can't go outside because there's some floating disease outside. Jonas,

(14:25):
you're missing the point. This song will make them run
outside of their house, how bad it is, Like what
do we like? What do we got? This will make
us jump out of that second story window because of
how bad it is. I mean, even in a pandemic
we get served that from Bobo, Like, like, what do
we gotta do to get some decent playback music here?
You could lead the lab please step in, all right,

(14:45):
that's more like it, alright, very good, alright, A little
little deaf tones. It was literally both deaf tones. The
first song was a deaf tone song. I know it was,
but it wasn't their best. I'm gonna be honest, I
had no idea that was Deaf Towns the first one.
You want to see a good band live and that crap.
You and your wife go watch over in Paris. Uh like,
go see a Deftones concert. It's a good van live.

(15:06):
Brady Quinn. Yeah, all right, Um, Brady Quinn Jonas knocks
here on Fox Sports Radio, coming to Alive from the
Geico Fox Sports Radio Studios. All right, coming up next,
there is a there's a move at quarterback for one
team in the a f C that I think could
have a bigger impact than maybe any other in the conference.

(15:28):
So that'll be coming up a little over ten minutes
from now here on Fox Sports Radio. Alright, So, Brady Quinn,
we open up the show talking about Tom Brady to
Tampa Bay. And look, there's a cause and effect to everything,
not just in the world, but in the world of sports.
So if Tom Brady goes to Tampa Bay, that means
Jamis Winston is no longer in Tampa Bay. So what

(15:48):
the hell happens to Jamis Winston moving forward? Is there
even a spot form in the league, or is he
going to the CFL. Geez said a former number one
overall pick. Alrighty to eat did throw for the most
yards in the league last year and over thirty touchdowns.
It's just it's just unfortunately through thirty interceptions. You know,
he's our first thirty thirty guy. Um, there's definitely a

(16:09):
spot for him, right So so there's a number of
teams that you can make the case need a quarterback
right now. It might be thinking about our inquiring about
Jamis Winston. New England has reportedly not been interested in
Jamis Winston. Reason being thirty interceptions. Okay, you know, I
think the hard thing was problem well, especially for a

(16:30):
Bill Belichick coach team who prioritizes the turnover margin or
the turnover ratio, and even just for Josh M. Daniels
like I played for Josh. I was there with him
for a year and that's another thing that he will
spell out every single statistic to show you how, you know,
big of a difference it is when you're you know,
minus one in the turnover marg I mean you've turned

(16:51):
it over one more than your opponent, or minus two
or minus three, you know, versus when you get those
extra two or three turnovers, so all those things that
that's the new one model wouldn't fit there. Carolina. Potentially,
you know, it might make some sense if he would
want to go in there and look at it and say, yeah,
they've got Teddy Bridgewater. But that deal, if you really
break it down, folks, it's a one year deal. It's

(17:13):
a one year prove a deal. It's got two years
attached on the back of it. And if he doesn't
play well, or if they've drafted God this year, which
they very very may well still do. Um you know,
you know you in that case, you wouldn't be signing
Jamis Winston. But again, Teddy might not be there next year,
so that might be a spot that it potentially hasn't open.

(17:33):
You've got Miami and you've got your l A Chargers,
even though they stay when they want with Tyrod, there's
still a chance you can take Jamis Winston out there.
So there's a number of teams. The question is who
wants to take him on. And it's even even gonna
have a chance a shot to play or to start
or compete for a job. I was thinking this okay,
and he would have to really swallow his pride. I

(17:57):
was thinking this would be a perfect scenario form you
know who could use a backup right now, Here's that
the New Orleans Saints, stay within the division, go back
up Drew Brees and see if you can't potentially, especially
if he gets hurt, you go in and play like
Teddy did. Then you roll that into maybe a better
opportunity a year from now. But that to me would

(18:19):
make all this sense in the world. You get the
coaching of Sean Payton, You get to sit behind and
watch Drew Brees and learn from a guy where you
really haven't had the opportunity to do that in your career.
And and on top of that, you get to go
through that that New Orleans Saints car wash, if you will,
And maybe on the opposite side you get a contract
and another chance to prove yourself that that might make
some sense. And oh, by the way, you're in the

(18:41):
same division, so maybe you get a little revenge to
on Sampa. When the housing market crashed, and like two
thousand and eight, two thousand nine, there were people that
were standing around waiting for it to crash because they
had the funds and they were just in a way
they were almost the bad news was good for them
so that they could step in and and get properties
for a raction of the costs and they were built

(19:01):
for or bought four or whatever. So it's almost like
Jamis Winston's gotta look around the NFL and go all right,
so who's most likely to get injured or benched? Because
that's where I'm gonna get my best opportunity. So if
I the Saints do make some sense. Also the ability
to work with Sean Payton, because I think the highs
for Jamis Winston are so high people forget and they

(19:22):
just sort of dismissed this man. The guy threw over
thirty touchdowns last year when when he's on, he was on.
It's just the bad balls, the the interceptions. Even Bruce
Arian said when they talked about, okay, what about how
many of those were Jamie's faults, and he said, well,
I think about twenty of them where Jamis's fault. Like
it's still at that point, twenty interceptions is bad. I

(19:43):
just think he's much better than the market is saying
he's better. I just wonder how much of this is
maybe his reputation heading into the NFL, or is it
just his interceptions that have got people afraid to try
and take a chance on a guy who was a
number one pick, Heisman Trophy winner, and it's got as
much talent at the position as far as arm goes

(20:03):
and anybody else in the league. There's no doubt when
you watch him, you see him make throws and you say,
there's not many quarterbacks that can do that in the league.
The problem is two places later he will make a
throw and then ends up being a pick six the
other way. I mean, I think if you went back
through and gridded his interceptions this year, you're right there
was probably ten that weren't his fault. But then the

(20:25):
other side of it is I think I remember like
counting and going back through the season, and he had
like eight in the first quarter or like the first
half or something. I mean just basically, you know, putting
his team behind the a ball. Now, there was also
some times where they were behind and he had to
take some chances and he had to throw the football up. Hell,
Philip rivers Um, who we're gonna talk about a little

(20:45):
later on, he fell victim to that. He threw twenty
interceptions last year, So that happens to everyone. But the
ones that happened early in games, when you get behind
the a ball and basically putting your team behind, those
are the ones that I think you'd like to see
him cut out. And the hard thing is Jonas is
it's now been with five years, five five years we've

(21:05):
seen him and that's that was a knock on him
coming out of f SU, his final year f SU,
the biggest question mark about him. It wasn't his talent.
You know, there are some character things to you want
him to grow up and mature. It was about his
decision making on the field and his ability to be
able to not turn the football over or force the
football into windows that he that he shouldn't and that

(21:27):
has never been addressed or cleaned up. And I think
that's the thing that scares teams is his floor is low,
even though his ceiling maybe high. And and in the NFL,
you can get by when you're somewhere in the middle.
When when your floor, when you're at your worst, it's
not that bad. And even if you're ceiling isn't that high,
coaches and teams will still take you because you know,

(21:49):
they just want more consistency, They want to kind of
know what to expect. They don't want to be surprised.
And that's why they called it the Jamis Winston experiment
or experience, because you really didn't know what the hell
was going to happen in a a week to week basis.
And here's the other thing. I do believe that there's
ego involved when it comes to coaches. I don't know
if you knew that or not, but coaches have egos
in the NFL. I wonder which coach out there is

(22:10):
gonna say, well, I could fix him, I I can
make him right. I give me an opportunity, I could
make him right. I would love if the Patriots took
a chance at him, because you know there'd be a
lot of pettiness there. Tampa Bay washes their hands on him,
Jamis Winston comes in and plays well or plays better
than Tom Brady. Um. I just I wonder what coach
out there. Maybe a John Gruden. I mean I don't know,

(22:32):
maybe a John Gruden, somebody who's got got enough, got
enough of a leash to be able to make a
move and take a chance on Jamis Winston. Or maybe
it's a first year coach. Maybe it's a Ron rivere In, Washington.
I just it feels like his opportunity is going to
be as a backup, and unless a starting quarterback gets
injured or gets benched, he's not going to get an opportunity.
And I almost, in a way feel bad for the

(22:53):
guy because they do think he has a ton of talent,
but I think he's people are so scared to bring
him in. Like I can tell you this playing fantasy football.
I know you're a big fantasy football guy, and that's fine.
I'm not here to judge you. It's just your thing.
You like fantasy football, that's cool. Um, I also play
fantasy football. Jamis Winston was a quarterback on my fantasy
football team. If you throw an interception in our fantasy league,

(23:16):
you get minus two points. I'm not kidding you. I
can't tell you how many times this past season, at
like one oh five Eastern time, I was already out
of minus two because he had already thrown a pick.
Like he had already thrown a pick. And I don't
know if it was just to wake himself up, but
I just I wonder the coach who's got enough of

(23:38):
an ego and enough of enough wiggle room and job
security to say, I'll bring that guy in because I
think I can fix him. I just wonder, and maybe
it is Sean Payton. I think it's just gonna be
interesting to watch who's got the guts, who's got the
balls to be able to take take a shot at
Jamis Winston moving forward because it will be fun to watch.
Here's the issue, though, is the problem is how do

(23:58):
you how do you go about developing how do you
go about changing him? Improving him? If you know he's
sitting on the bench, what's that? Is he fixable? I
think decision making can be that the problem. Here's the
tough part about answering that. You know, this past year
was the first year in Bruce Arian system, and so

(24:18):
that's why I wanted to see another year in his
system now. And it's it's different when you can get
Tom Brady, you take Tom Brady. Okay, So bottom line,
I'm not second guessing what Bruce Arians with Tampa Bay
Bucks did. It's just, you know, it's a matter of
I would have loved to see what next year would
have looked like because with that talent and and another
year in a system that's more familiar with, maybe there's

(24:38):
not those um, you know, miscommunications, right, And and and if
he throws for thirty three touchdowns and twenty picks and
he's over five thousand yards, again, you're looking at him
a lot differently, aren't you. Aren't you kind of saying
to yourself like, Okay, this guy's a franchise guy. You know,
he's got all the tools, and so he's so my
The hard thing for me is he's been through multiple

(24:59):
systems in his career year and he's put himself in
a position where I think he warrants everyone, you know,
people who are in need of a quarterback to look
at him. But I do think you know that that
bad tape, when you turn on the highlights and low lights,
it looks bad, man. And that's the tough thing about
quarterback point in the NFL, is they would rather take
a guy who's got a higher floor, even though he's

(25:19):
got a lower ceiling, just because they know what to expect,
and that guy can survive a lot longer than the
league than a guy who can look like an m
v P on some throws and a guy who can
look like he's gonna be on the street on another. Thus,
Tyrod Taylor Tyrod perfect example doesn't throw a lot of interceptions,
doesn't have the ceiling of a Jamis Winston, but you know,
at least it's funny the catastrophic mistake exactly like, he

(25:42):
plays a brand of football that if you're the Chargers,
and I speculated about, well, why don't they kick the
tires on Jamis Winston? They're probably gonna draft a quarterback anyway,
so it doesn't matter. But why wouldn't you because you've
got a quarterback and a veteran and Tyrod Taylor, who's
who's got a better than two to one touchdown interception ratio.
You can place about sixty of his past is. Look,
he's never gonna wow you with throwing the football down

(26:02):
the field, but he's accurate. He's a good decision maker.
He can run and pick up some yards to the
average about five yards a season when he starts for
sixteen games. He's been to the playoffs before, he's taking
the team there, and he knows how to rely on
his defense. If you're the Chargers, after what happened last
year with Philip Rivers, who isn't as mobile, who turned
the football over a ton, you might be thinking that

(26:23):
your season would look a lot different if you just
didn't turn the football over and it's Hayrod Taylor could
fix some of the offensive line issues. Well, you know,
this year, maybe we'll find out. But I think there's
probably a good chance to be taking a quarterback anyways,
and we're gonna see it seeing a rookie playing the
majority of the games. He's Brady Quent. I'm Jonas Knocks.
This is Fox Sports Radio from the Geico Fox Sports
Radio Studios. All right, coming up next, there could be

(26:43):
a dark horse Super Bowl contender in the a f C.
And all they did was at one player find out
who we're talking about next year on fs are But
for all the latest from around the world of sports,
ladies and gentlemen, even in a pandemic, just relax because
it's Steve de Sager again with the horse reference, with
the dark horse. We start and end that hour with this.

(27:04):
By the way, I haven't seen a horse death at
Santa Anita since the start of the month, so my goodness,
they've gone three whole weeks without a horse dying. And
they say we've been focusing on some other things right now,
they are still racing, by the way, with the with
empty stands they had they had a race yesterday and
say there are people with needs Steve and those people
are to Jenerry Gamblers. Yeah, some of those make appearances
on this show. The Patriots will sign quarterback Brian Hoyer,

(27:28):
who was just cut by the Colts yesterday. He turns
thirty five next season. Gets a one year deal. Hoyer.
We'll learn about a million dollars from New England and
one million from the Colts this year, according to NFL Network,
plus incentives. The Jets signed defensive back Pierre to Seer,
was just cut by the Colts yesterday. The Falcons will
sign wide receiver Lakwan Treadwell, former first rounder of the Vikings.

(27:48):
In four years there, Treadwell had just sixty five total receptions.
Chance Warmax back in the league after sitting out last
season to get healthy. He has agreed to terms with
the Seattle Seahawks. Warmack was the Titans first rounder in
the Bear signed safety Jordan Lucas, who is a backup
with Kansas City last season. Contract details from NFL Network.
The Raiders getting Dallas defensive tackle MALIEK. Collins on a

(28:11):
one year deal worth nearly six mill guaranteed and Jason
Witten's one year deal with Las Vegas. We're three and
a half mill guaranteed. The Bucks today tweeted out a
thank you to quarterback Jamis Winston, who's among the available
free agents now also available Jevan Clowney, Everson Griffin, Jason
Peters and others. Current currently teams unable to bring free
agents into their facilities for physical and team doctors cannot

(28:34):
be sent to the player. The NFL Draft, about a
month from now, will be held in a studio setting,
according to the l A Times, with cut ins two
team headquarters. And by the way, the new uniforms due
to come out this spring for the Tampa Bay Bucks.
They say, I don't know if that schedule has been
altered with the way things have gone last weekend. We
do know the Rams for sure, unveiling their new logos

(28:55):
and colors tomorrow. Ohio State gets transfer running back Trey
Sermon from okal home on Australian Rules football shut down
until at least the end of May. Here they started
the season with empty stadiums games on FS one the
last couple of nights, and now it's done at least
till the end of May. The International Olympic Committee says
it has a deadline in the next month on whether
to postpone this summer's games, which your due to start

(29:18):
in Tokyo July. Back to Jonas Knox and Brady Quinn,
Thank you, Steve Company alive here from the Geico Fox
Sports radio studios where it's easy to say more on
car insurance go to Geico dot com seven Otto. The
only hard part figuring out which way is easier. I
don't even know how this is possible. Life at Jesus

(29:38):
has sent a tweet out apparently he's going to be
making an appearance here. I'm assuming coming up in about
twelve minutes from now. I mean that he usually only
tweets Brady to let us know he's coming on. I
mean he won last week even in the middle of
no sports happening, so maybe he'll pull it off again. Well,
you can't see he won in the middle of no sports.
Otherwise you wanted to play us a bed. And I'm
not mistaken. He bet on a soccer game, I believe

(29:58):
of Barbados somewhere. It was in the eight minute. Is
that right? Um? I don't believe it was that. I
think it was like in the third I think after
a goal had just been scored, which was kind of
screwed around with the numbers, but that's part for the
course with the game. Look, win's a win, all right.
There's no style points in this game, Steve, so he
will he will take the win if that's the case,

(30:20):
but he will be Uh. Look, he's gonna be here
in about twelve minutes. If I were you, guys, i'd
get on your best behavior because you don't want to
piss him off in a pandemic. I'll just tell you that,
right yeah, note telling what he'll do, but probably just
lose another bet, right Uh. Speaking of speaking of betting,
Brady Quinn, the Indianapolis Colts season win total last check
is at eight and a half. What are you thinking?

(30:43):
Eight and a half over? Under eight and a half wins?
Because I'm screaming for the over. I think the Philip
really signing I I love Indianapolis next year, I love
Rivers in Indianapolis. Um, I will take the over. I'll
say this, I think the division is more competitive than
it looks right now. But uh, with the addition of Rivers,
who if you could have drawn up the perfect fit

(31:04):
for him, this team would be it right. They have
probably the best, if not one of the top three
best offensive lines in the league. Rivers can't move anymore.
He wants to get the ball out quick, and you've
got a guy in Doyle who can get open the
tight end t Y Hilton. If Paris Campbell comes along
with his speed, he'll be all right too. And the
heam hinds there running back next to Marlon Mack, that

(31:25):
dude's gonna benefit the most. You know, he's kind of
one of those smaller backs who catches the football up
a little bit. Reminds you of Austin Ekeler for the Chargers.
So he's gonna benefit as much as anyone. But it
makes sense from that standpoint. It makes sense from a
scheme fit standpoint. Nick Sirianni is their offensive coordinator. He
was with him with the Chargers, so those guys have
a rapport and obviously have a history together. So look,

(31:47):
he's playing in a dome. I mean, it doesn't matter
how you go about looking at it. That was the
kind of tailor fit I think for Philip Rivers. If
he was gonna move on from the Chargers to go
to a team in a situation where he and look
like the quarterback we saw three or four years ago
and not necessarily what we've seen the past couple of years.
And if I'm not sure if you've noticed this, but
he signed for the old man contract. You know what

(32:10):
the old man contract is? Year a year. This is
what's happened, dude, Like, like all these teams are like,
what are we doing with these guys? They're like forty
years old? They want to keep playing football? Like, what
do we pay these guys? Both or Tom Brady, Drew Brees,
Philip Rivers. They all agreed to contracts that are paying
up twenty five million a year. It's like it's like
the team's colluded together, just like we don't know what

(32:30):
to pay these guys they're getting they're not at forty, Like,
what what do we do? Like, what do we do
with them? They're just like, let's just pay him twenty
five million year. And here's the other reason why they
had to pay them twenty five million a year. Okay,
if they would have paid them any less, they would
have given them the middle finger and said, I'm just
gonna do TV if they're if they're gonna pay Tony
we almost seventeen million a year. And if they're gonna
offer Peyton Mann eighteen to twenty millions supposedly for Monday

(32:53):
night football, then why would I just go to that? Like, well,
why would I put myself through this pick up move
my family to some other team? Why would have to
deal with that? I think they actually now are getting
the point to where they still have to pay these
older guys um that old man wage of twenty five
million per year, but they have to be cognizant of
the fact that, like there's kind of other, like life
options available that apparently pay pretty well too. I also

(33:15):
thought the terms of the contract we're we're kind of
interesting for Philip Rivers. He spoke after he after it
was announced that he was going to be leading the Chargers,
that he's got two more years max. Like he like
he wants to play for two more years. So Tom
Brady got a multi year deal. Uh, Drew Brees got
a multi year deal. What do you make of Philip

(33:35):
Rivers just signing a one year deal? Like, like, how
does that? How does that chancause they can always negotiate
a year to year. I think the team may be saying,
like I think for starters. I mean, he was contemplating
potentially retiring this offseason, and so maybe he only wants
to do it year by year and doesn't want to
agree to anything long term. Um, and so he has
to be a quarterback that once again retires, how being

(33:55):
under contract like Andrew Luck, which I think surprised a
lot of people. So, um, I think I think it's
fair and I think they're probably pretty comfortable with, you know,
doing a one year deal, knowing that if it's a
good experience, if they win the division, if they go
to the playoffs or make it run of the a
f C Championship game, they're most likely going to be
continuing having conversations. Um. But but maybe maybe none of

(34:18):
that matters. Maybe it actually comes down to his family. Uh,
and the fact that he's got what ten kids. I mean,
if you think about this country right now, how we
you know, can't get in groups of ten or more people.
It's got to be really hard for the Rivers family have. Yeah,
that is true. I mean you gotta like do it
in shifts like when when when at McDonald's years and
years ago, when I was a kid, they had these
twenty five cent hamburgers, Like every Tuesday Thursday at the

(34:41):
local McDonald's it was twenty five cent hamburgers. And so
because we were poor, what we would do is send
each sibling and in shifts. There was a ten ten
burger limit, so we would go in at different times
and then we just take the leftovers and freeze him
and then eat them later on in the week. Like,
you gotta be strategic here, Brady. You got a lot
of kids. You gotta be strategic about how you approach things.
And the Rivers family has gotta gotta go into the

(35:03):
kitchen and shifts, eat a little bit, go out and
then take turns. Sometimes you gotta make sacrifices. You gotta
be you gotta be able to adjust. You can't have
O c D with this stuff. I have a buddy
who is so cheap and he didn't have kids or anything.
This is like out of college. What he would do
is he worked for a pharmaceutical company and he would
basically say he took a bunch of clients out to lunch.
He'd get like eight different things to go, and he'd

(35:24):
throwing the fridge and he would eat it all over
the next like three or four days, on the weekend.
And that's essentially how instead of going grocery shopping, he
would just load it up on whatever, you know, credit card.
Next features he had to abuilding into so within his company.
I was just like, why don't we stocked full of
max and numbers to go food. He's like, I had
to take out some clients to dinner. Oh man, I

(35:45):
had no idea you were that close with Rob Parker.
That's amazing, all right, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox here on

this week next year on FS Are that guy's Brady Quinn,
I'm Jonas knocks this is Fox Sports Radio. You can

(36:28):
check out the show on the I Heart Radio app
coming up top of next hour. We'll call it about
ten minutes from now, Brady Quinn. We will discuss the
futures of two NFL franchises and they could be completely
different than the other in more ways than one. We'll
have that for you here a little over ten minutes
from now on Fox Sports Radio. How's the how's the quarantine?

(36:50):
Quinn's doing? How you guys doing. How's the quarantine going
on there? Brady Week We are actually doing phenomenal. We're
doing great. Um. I don't want to get into specifics
of the whole quarantine and all that, but uh, we're
having a good time. I think, not that we're not
taking it seriously. It's just, um, you know, we we
you know, we're we're still kind of live in life,
I think to a to a certain degree. Um, so

(37:13):
you know we're following, you know what we have to follow,
but you know, still I'm still out there having fun.
How many people's diets do you think have been just
disintegrated with with this? You could go one at two ways.
I think there's there's those that have probably just been
binge drinking their life away in fear of all this.
Absolutely just treating every day like it's St. Patty's Day, since,

(37:36):
let's be honest, for a lot of us out there,
St Patty's Day was robbed from us. It was absolutely robbed, um.
And so there's a lot of people are trying to
make up for that. I'm not saying who um. But
and then there's other there's an other group of people
that look, with the way grocery stores are right now,
it would be hard to find some food. Maybe just uh,

(37:56):
implement a little fast thing into your diet. At this point,
I felt bad for you. I know, I know. St.
Patty's Day is your holiday, that's your that's your Christmas.
And I felt bad because I mean, normally you start
off the day you're working on like a treadmill, drinking
a guinness or something like that, and you and you
couldn't do it. This year you just could. I could could.
You could not? Yeah, you could, You could not do it.

(38:17):
So I felt bad any happier to be doing this
show right now? Um. You know what's you know, you
know actually know us is sad. I told my I
told my my eldest Sloan I said, hey, you don't
have school again this week. And she's three and a half,
so I haven't tried to explain to her like what's
going on in the world. But but she goes, well,
why daddy. I was like, well, you actually, this week's
supposed to be spring break four and so I took

(38:39):
more time off work anyway. I was planning on being
home anyway, um, And she was like, well, She's like,
what are we gonna do? I was like, pretty much
what we've been doing in the past week. I was like,
like hanging out all day and all that. She she
wants to go back to school, though, Like I feel
bad for her because she misses her friends, she misses
her teacher. She's got a great class at great school
she goes to and and she gets out about it,

(39:00):
like she's she's to the point now where she's been
away from school long enough, and it's like you can
tell it. It affects her throughout the course of the
day where she can't go see her friends, you can't
go to school. So I'm sure there's other kids who
feel away, and there's probably a lot of the kids
who don't feel that way. I could smell those balls
for the rest of my life. Jesus. I mean, I
have no idea. Like we're having a friendly discussion. We're

(39:23):
awaiting the arrival of Oh my god. Okay, everybody step aside,
all right, and everybody, everybody step But I did Bobo,
Actually I'm not. I'm not that Bobo controls it. I mean,
live Bet Jesus controls what's going on here? Brady, Hold
on a second. I can't see. The lights are completely
out in the studio. I can't see Bobo. I mean, look,

(39:44):
I can't see I can't see Lee. I can't see
anybody here. And now there's a piece of paper floating
down onto the desk here on Fox Sports Radio, just
so you don't we're on the up and up here.
It is tonight that I Live Bet Easies proclaimed they
picked to be you Ventus Managua plus two and a

(40:05):
half over Managua FC in the Nicaraguan Premier Derision Division soccer.
Brady Quinn, can you believe that? I mean, who's gonna
watch that game? I have no idea. It will be
the most fascinating watch all next season. In the NFL.
It involves two teams, one in the a f C
and one in the NFC. We'll tell you why coming

(40:26):
up here in just a couple of moments. That guy
over there's Brady Quinn. I'm Jonas Knox. This is Fox

in all of America than my man, Brady Quinn. Are
we uh are we quarantine right now? Like I don't
feel quarantine? Are you quarantine? Well, I'm just waiting. We
want to be relatable to the audience like that. That's

(41:09):
you know, that's an important thing hereable to the audience.
We're all quarantine. I'm taking this thing seriously, you know,
like we're disinfecting stuff and making sure we're we're keeping
our proper distance from people. The most awkward thing, though,
is when you do see people, you know, it's like
how do you greet them? Now? Because like I come
across like some people want to do like the fist

(41:31):
bump and I'm like, I feel like that's like a
golf course thing. That's like guys in the golf course
we're like, yeah, man, good putt or nice shot. This
bump um and then this people started doing this like
elbow touching. That's a that's the weirder thing. And then
then some people are like touching feet, like doing the
kid and played, you know thing back from back from
the day I was. I was just like I usually

(41:53):
stick out my my hand just to make them feel awkward.
I'm like, look, I'm let me stick out my hand.
I'm like, okay, I guess I'm the bad I like
you think I don't wash my hands or I haven't
kept my hands sanitary. I mean, it's it's a roll
of the dice, you know, it is a roll of
the dice. So if you reach out and shake somebody's hands,
you just never know, especially in these uncertain terms. If
have you tried to go to a supermarket? Have you

(42:13):
tried to get to a supermarket by any chance, it's
totally chaos. I was just gonna say, here's what I
think i'd said. I think in every part of the country,
it's probably different. Uh, in California, I would imagine California,
New York, other places that seem to have more cases.
New York probably more so than than than any place,
just with the amount of new cases coming on. I

(42:36):
would say that it's a it's probably feels a little different.
Like down here, you know, they're restocked. There's times when
you go and it's actually doesn't feel like anything is different.
And then there's times when you go and you walk
past the frozen food sile section You're going, holy crap,
like it it feels like armageddon because there's nothing, nothing
in any of the on any of the shelves and
any of the refrigerators. So it's just it's kind of

(42:56):
hit or missed down here. Um. But either way, it's
still there's there's still a sense of like like awkwardness
about just interacting with people. And that's the thing is like,
is this gonna last? Is this gonna make us all
socially awkward? Now? Moving forward? I mean, here's the thing.
So you mentioned the fist pump the fist bump, or
rather the fist bump. I could see why that would

(43:18):
come across as do she. I could see that, But
I would rather do that then stick out my foot
and shake feet with people. Now, unless you're Rex Ryan,
I don't know who that appeals to, all right, I
don't know who that appeals to. The elbow thing is weird.
I would rather just take my chances and either shake
somebody's hands or fist bump, or you never know, maybe

(43:38):
I'll just reach out and hug somebody and just tell
this virus to go screw itself. I mean, you're never
quite sure. I mean, that's that's the way that's I mean,
is this not America? Can't we just say, like, look,
we're gonna kick this thing's asked, that's how we feel
about it. Well, well let's let's go on with our lives.
Damn right. I totally agree, all right. Brady Quinn Jonas
knocks here on Fox Sports Radio. The most fascinating watch

(43:59):
next season in the NFL, Brady Quinn, the Tampa Bay
Buccaneers or the New England Patriots. Who you got? Tampa
Bay Bucks hands down? And I don't care who in
New England, if they trade for Dalton or signed anyone else,
or if they draft a quarterback, it is Tom Brady
hands down, because I want to know a guy who's

(44:19):
gonna be turning forty three, who's now got to legit
Wide receivers. Both Chris Godwin and Mike Evans won over
a thousand yards last year. Camon Braid uh, former first
round pick O J. Howard, all those those guys are
very capable. I think the only thing that really missing
is they get to improved with the right tackle spot
and they have to find a running back that can

(44:39):
catch the football well out of the backfield. I don't
know that they have that on their roster right now,
but in Bruce Arians system, you know, maybe he'll change
some stuff up for Tom, but I don't really need it.
I mean, they really do push the field vertically. So, Um,
they've got a lot of pieces their defense. Jonas played
a lot better than the second half of the year. Uh.
Look at Jamal in a cornerback, he's a bright butting spot. Uh.

(45:02):
They signed back jpp off of the edge. Um, and
so there's a lot of things that you should be
liking if you're a Tampa Bay Bucks fan and your
chances next year. Uh, My only thing is is is
there's there a chance that like, he's not gonna be
quite as good as what we think, you know, because
because there there is to some degree, I think you
looked at his his play last year as much as

(45:23):
you want to say, yeah, the running game wasn't quite
as good as it's been, and the protection wasn't quite
as good as it's been, and yeah, it doesn't really
have any of people to throw too. There also was
a degree where you watched him and said, there's a
couple of throws out there that I'm sure he wished
he had back every game, you know, or his age
showed a little bit. And that's my concern is if
they can't protect him, and you know how they like

(45:44):
to do, like Jameis Winston put on weight before last
year because he knew he was gonna have to hold
onto the football longer to throw the football downfield. That
is Bruce Arian system, no risk and no biscuit. And
so if they can't protect him, that that'd be one
area where I'd be a little bit worried or concerned
about where this thing is going, just because that hasn't
been the offense he's been in. It's been a spread

(46:05):
them out, get the ball out of his hand, quick screens,
quick passing games, find Edelman pretty much wherever he can be,
And that's been the gist of it. So now that
he doesn't have that offense, I think he's got the
fact that he's got wide receivers you can separate now,
which has been the difference in a long time for him.
But the other thing is is how is he going
to handle the downfield passing game? Like that's gonna be

(46:27):
my biggest question mark for him. When's the last time
he had a wide receiver over six one? Well, I mean,
I think they kill Harry. He's what I want is
six something like that? The first round draft pick? Is
that joke? That's true? Right, I threw that out there.
I probably should have researched it a little bit better,
you know, but we'll we'll take that out of the podcast.
But last year, you know, I agree, But he does
have those And this is the one thing that I've thought,

(46:48):
and you brought it up, and how the hell should
I know? Like we all sit here and we talk
about arms strength and all that, and it's a bunch
of people that never played the position. You actually didn't
you actually know what the hell you're talking about. Does
he have the type of arm that will get the
most out of Mike Evans, Godwin, O. J. Howard, all
these guys down the field? As you mentioned, this offense
is completely different. It's all vertical. Um Roethlisberger thrived throwing

(47:12):
down the field when Bruce arians was there. Does he
have the arm at this point in his career to
be able to do that and get the most out
of those weapons? And he now all of a sudden
has look he can make all of the throws, So
that that has that has nothing like I think there's
a misconception about like arm strength and then really what
it needs to be in the NFL. When you need
to have a really really strong arm, it's because you

(47:34):
usually are late throwing footballs. You can't anticipate and you've
got to make up for it, and so you have
to have the ability to throw it further downfield on
deep balls because you you hitched up or you held
the football longer, or because the window is gonna be
really tight now and now you gotta fire fastball in there.
So neither of those things apply to Tom Brady. You know,

(47:55):
he's not even be holding onto the football forever because
he's having a hard time scene that coverage or deciding
where he wants to go with the football. You know,
you could say, all right, could there be um, you
know a little bit of a learning curve form within
Bruce arian system. Sure, but again, he's played for two
decades now, Like to me, that's not gonna be as
big of an issue for him. Uh, nor will be
him him having enough arm strength. He's got plenty of

(48:17):
arms strength, I'll be cure. I mean, and he throws
a very you know, accurate deep ball. The other thing
he does a really good job of is he always
takes calculated risks, you know, when when the game's not
on the line, he's not necessarily forcing football's downfield just
to force football's downfield. And that's what's gonna be fun
to watch, is whether or not he transitions the more

(48:39):
of that thinking, because that's how Bruce Arians is. Bruce
Arians is like, all right, we've got four downs. He's like, well,
three of them are throwing it and and we'll see,
we'll see what happens if we're in third and longer.
If we're you know, in somewhere in field goal range,
you're trying to score a touchdown. Like Carson Palmer said, Hi,
when I've talked to him about that system, he said,
he wants to score as fast as possible. Just take

(49:00):
up chunks down the field, nerd to get there. That's
his mentality. That's how he wants defense is to feel
like you're constantly on the attack. I can't imagine the
Patriots offense gets better without Tom Brady. I mean, they
weren't very good last year with Tom Brady. I can't
imagine they would get better by, you know, addition, by
subtraction losing Tom Brady. Steve Disager mentioned in his update,

(49:22):
they add Brian Hoyer. That's at least a familiar He's
familiar to the offense, and at least it it's on
on paper a little bit of competition for Jared Stidham.
I mean, are we looking at a bad football team?
I mean, like, I mean, I know they've got a
defense and they've got parts, But are we looking at
at a bad football team and a team that's not
going to make the postseason. For the first time in
a long time, since Bill Belichick has been the head

(49:44):
coach there at Foxboro. Two reasons why I still think
they have a chance of making into the postseason. Okay,
actually all the three. One, they just added a team
in the playoffs from each conference, so now that's seventeen
and each side not six, so you have an extra
chance that. The other thing is it is Bill Belichick. Okay.

(50:05):
And and as much as we want to sit there
and say, yeah, the Bills were a playoff team last year,
they should win the division this year, Okay, can we
see it first? Can we see it all come together
for them first? And it's not like the Jets or
the Dolphins would make you think that, you know, they're
all of a sudden gonna surpass or jump past the
New England Patriots just because Tom Brady is not there anymore.

(50:25):
So it's still the a f C East. It's it's
not one of the toughest divisions in the a f C.
And then the third thing I'd say is if Tom
Brady had went to another team in the a f C,
well then you've got another team you've gotta really kind
of worry about compete against. Right like that, that's if
you look at the a f C and and you
were to sit here right now in March and say,
who are guaranteed locks at being in the postseason next year?

(50:49):
I think you could safely say you feel good about
the Colts, but you know, you don't know how the
experience experiment could be. Let's throw them in there anyway. Obviously,
the Chiefs, you know they're gonna be there. You assume
the Ravens um. And then outside of that, you know,
are you saying that Titans are getting in as a
nine and seven team like they've done the last four
years for a fifth straight year, you know, as a
wild card or you know, are they winning the division?

(51:11):
Are you looking at the Chargers? I mean, who's their quarterback?
Is it Tyrod? Are they making the playoffs? Of its
tyron um? You could you could literally go through every
division and ask yourself those questions. Big Ben's back and
with that defense for Pittsburgh, you'd think that the all
things would equate to them either win in the division
or being a wild card team. But you know, we
don't know, you know, it could be a dramatic decline.
We have no idea what that team is gonna look like.

(51:32):
Nobody knows about the A F C South, the f
C South could go everybody could be eight and eate
and no to be surprised, right, And so really, when
you started thinking about it, there's not many teams outside
the Chiefs, the Ravens, and then probably you know you
could throw I throw a couple of their teams in
there that you would say might be a while. I mean,
the Bills you feel good about making back just because
Brady's not there anymore. But it just it's much more

(51:55):
wide open and that and that's the third part of
it is I think there's a chance they could still
as a wild card team just because of those three reasons.
I just want, like, what's the planet quarterback? Is it
just Stidham? Is this what it's going to be? I mean,
I know they brought Brian Horrier him, but I mean,
are they not going to address it in the draft?
Are they not going to Is there not a you know,
a Cam Newton somebody that's out there that they can

(52:18):
go on a choir? I just I wonder what the
plan is at quarterback. And I just find it hard
to believe they're just going to roll the dice dice
with Stidham, who they brought into a game last year
after they sat Tom Brady. The game was a blowout,
stid him through an interception, and they brought Brady back
in even in a blowout. I just I can't imagine
they would go into next season and just say, we're
going to see what we got with Stidham and then

(52:38):
we'll figure it out from there. Yeah, there's a few
a few guys that can maybe make some sense. I mean, look,
Cam Newton, he's on the Panthers for now, but not
knowing his health. And then now that the Panthers have
essentially said they're moving on and they've already signed Bridgewater,
there's no leverage there. So everyone's looking at them saying, hey,
just let us know when you're gonna release them, because
there's no point us giving you a draft pick form.
We know that's the end result. Dalton could be an

(53:00):
other one, but you know, you don't necessarily know what
the market is because there's not a lot of quarterback
jobs open. I'm sure he wants to be traded somewhere
where he can go to play a start and play,
and if the Patriots aren't interested, maybe some other teams
might not be. So you don't know what they'll have
to give up to get Dalton. I think that could
drag on uh to the draft for all we know.
And maybe a scenario where once they take Burrow, then

(53:20):
they're basically looking at Dalton saying they're trying to get
whatever they can for him, or maybe just flat out
releasing them. Um. And then outside of him, you know,
we talked about Jamis. I just don't know if that's
a fit. Uh. And then when you look at Stidham,
here's the thing about Stidham. One, he was a really
highly touted kid coming out of high school and into college.
In college, his first year of Baylor, he looked really,

(53:41):
really good. But because the circumstances there, he bounces. He
goes to Auburn, never really reaches his potential. But you know,
there's a reason why they drafted him where they drafted him.
They obviously like him to a certain degree. And here's
the thing is, we might stay on the outside, well,
we don't know how good he is. Hey remember that
time where Matt Castle, who barely played in college, ended
up being a backup for the Patriots and winning ten

(54:02):
games and Tom Brady got hurt like you like, remember
that time? Remember that one time they saw this guy
from you know, a D two D three school, and
Jimmy Garoppolo they drafted in the second round. Oh he
turned out to even pretty darn good, right, And like
remember that guy Jacoby Brissette who he's hanging around like
he might be an option for them to bring him
back since he knows the system. Like I just I
think you should trust. You should trust whatever decision that

(54:24):
they make, like they've got the track record to prove it.
I mean Tom Brady in itself, the fact that they
went with him over bloed so he was a number
one overall pick and he was a good quarterback. I
mean they easily, they easily, uh you know, could make
a decision where they might go host at him, but
that might be what's best for the team. I'm so
glad you brought up Bled so I I think people
forget how good he was. I think I think like

(54:46):
he was so good for a long time, and he
played pretty well at Buffalo if I'm not mistaken. I
think he made a Pro Bowl when he went to
Buffalo after the Patriots traded him. But he was so
forgotten as far as quarterbacks go, because once Brady got there,
they did just incredible things. Like the Patriots were a
bad franchise, Bledso got him to a Super Bowl and
they lost to that great Packers team, which ended up

(55:07):
being Farv's only super Bowl win. But I think people
forget it just because of the impact Brady had, how
good bloed So was before he got there. No, And
and look, and I think you kind of wonder sometimes,
you know what if you know what if Drew Bledso
would have played that out because that Patriots team kept
getting better and better and better. And you know, you
look at early on in Tom Brady's career. Don't get

(55:28):
me wrong, he was really clutch, but those are some
of the better defenses he was a part of, you know,
Kevin Falk out of the backfield, that old line. I mean,
there's a lot of pieces that worked right for him. Uh,
he's Brady Quinn. I'm Jonas Knocks this his Fox Sports
Radio Company Alive from the Geico Fox Sports Radio Studios.
You can check out the show on the I Heart
Radio app. All right, coming up next, there are there's

(55:50):
a group of players in the NFL that might not
be getting a fair shake. Find out who we're talking about.
Next year on FSR. That guy over there's Brady Quinn.
I'm on a knocks. This is Fox Sports Radio as
we come to you Alive here from the Geico Fox
Sports Radio Studios. UM coming out. Fun, It's really fun
before you get to whatever you're gonna say that you

(56:12):
know when when like nowadays, like some of these things
through text messages circulate or like email, like what you
know what I'm talking about? I don't know what the guy?
What guy? Don't act like you don't know what guy?
Everyone knows what guy I'm talking about? I don't know
what you mean. But the guy that it's it's usually
someone will send you it's like a link that's attached
to attached to something that has to do with the coronavirus,

(56:34):
and then it ends up being exactly not that huh
oh oh oh you mean the guy guy? Yeah, the
guy sitting on top of the barbecue, right, yeah, the
guy with the baseball bat. Yeah, he's gonna doin his
legs that Oh okay you're talking about. Okay, someone just
tried to send me one of those videos. And here's

(56:56):
the funny thing is that's already circulated around like I
got that three or four days ago. I actually think
it might have been four or five days ago, now
that I think about it, it looks like somebody trying
to pile drive a water moccasin. Sorry, like if we
all we all have experienced it. Like if you're listening

(57:17):
right now, I would guarantee, I would guarantee. I'd love
to take a poll on Twitter, just as a poll
in general. At least fifty percent of our listeners know
exactly what I'm talking about. I mean, listen, you know, Uh,
one man's video is another man's thermist. That's what I've
been told Brady Quinn. So I don't know exactly. Um,
you know where to go from here. I'm just trying

(57:37):
to do a professional brod. Did somebody send that to
you during the break or did they not? By the way,
did you get the video I sent you? Did? Did
you get the video I sent you about that new
coffee you could try? Yeah? Okay, Green Mountain? Right? Is that?
Is that what it is? Yea? Some one of those
cured ones. You know, you pop little cake up. I
don't know the rest it down and then and then
the coffee comes out. Is that I don't know? But

(57:58):
but but but like there's a lot of extra material
that comes with that particular coffee that I sent you.
I believe, I believe it's a European brand. I'm not mistaken. Okay,
it's an odd looking neck brace, all right, Brady quinn uh.
As we discuss the NFL here on Fox Sports Radio,
we do have headline or Lie coming up less than

(58:21):
ten minutes from now here on Fox Sports Radio. If
you want to be a part of the most enjoyable
game show anywhere on sports radio, we do it every
single night, every single Sunday night. Rather here on fs
are eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven
seven six three six nine, headliner Lie is coming up
less than ten minutes from now here on Fox Sports Radio.

(58:42):
Operators are standing by. We're looking for two participants to
people who have got the balls, even in the midst
of a quarantine, to call in and be a part
of the hottest game show any Sunday night here on
Fox Sports Radio eight seven seven six six three six
nine headline a Lie coming up here shortly. Um, let's
let's get into I mean, I saw a lot of

(59:03):
hot takes that came out because after the l A.
Rams decided they were going to move on from Todd Gurley. Uh,
there were a lot of people who just were jumping
up and down to path themselves on the back. This
is exactly why you don't pay a running back. This
is exactly why the running back position is devalued. I
get it, but I think sometimes teams make mistakes. They

(59:24):
paid Todd Gurley a little bit too early. I think
they were trying to set a precedence in the locker
room that we want to reward our own, and all
of a sudden, the injuries started to occur and he
wasn't the same player. It was a mistake, and unfortunately,
I think the running back position is going to suffer
because of it. Because now you've talked about this, teams
will use whatever they can in leveraging contracts. They're going

(59:45):
to point to that deal and say, that's exactly why
we don't feel like paying paying this position a premium,
because based on what we just saw happen with Todd
Gurley in l A. So I want to go back
to a couple of things you said. The first I
would say is you say started having injuries. He already
had a bad knee injury back in college. And so
I think the cautionary tale to whether the Rams or

(01:00:08):
anyone else moving forward will be they really need to
start taking the medical evaluations of these players seriously from
their university at the combine and then looking at them
moving forward and how degenerative they are. And that's where
they're this world of Todd Gurley and to a tongue
of Alloa kalaide, because we don't have any insight into

(01:00:30):
where Too is. He's not gonna have his pro day anymore.
If he is, you know who's gonna attend, and no
one's traveling, no one's doing all that now, and so
outside of seeing a video, you really won't get a
chance to see him in person and see how he's moving,
see howays being able to handle his rehabilitation, and then
project out if he's gonna be what he was when
you watched him in college. So a little side track there,

(01:00:51):
but I think you know where I'm going with this,
like teams have to be more careful and worrisome about
guys who come into the league with injuries in the
past and how many years or how much wear and
tear they can absorb on it, because if you go
back to that two thousand and seventeen season. That's ultimately
what got him the contract. The problem is, since that

(01:01:11):
point in time, every single metric pretty much in production,
whether it's yards, yards per attempt, his touches, they've all
gone down and and it's been a byproduct of injuries.
It's been a byproduct of of that wear and tear
and all of that that that's built up. But you know,
you're right and talking about they wanted to take care
of one of their own, but it wasn't just one
of their own. They want to take care of the
best player on their offense. Yeah, I mean, let's be real.

(01:01:35):
He was. They have they have Jared Goff, but he's
not the best player in their offense. It's been Todd Gurley.
It's always been Todd Gurley. That offense is not running
the same way when they don't have Todd Gurley or
they don't have a running back being able to run
the outside zone scheme and being able to be effected
in the passing game as well. Like it's just bottom
line is, it's not the same offense. And that's what
we started to see now the past couple of seasons.

(01:01:57):
So when when I sit here, and look at, you
know what, the deal he signed. It's irrelevant because he
signed a one year proven deal, and good for him,
like forget about what he did in the past, you know,
good for him having the opportunity to go to a
place like Atlanta. He's not going to be the featured back,
or I shouldn't say he's gonna be the future back.
He's not going to be the feature of that offense.

(01:02:18):
It's really about Matt Ryan. It's really about Julio Jones,
Calvin Ridley, the passing attack. And so because of that,
I think it actually will be a good thing for him.
He'll probably get less touches, but it'll probably be more
productive with what he gets. And this actually might be
good for prolonging his career, being in Atlanta as opposed
to being in l A, where he was the workhorse.
He was what everything kind of funneled through with in

(01:02:39):
that offense. Here's what I didn't like about what the
Rams did, and I thought it was whoever was responsible
for it. There were certain reports that came out, um
because nobody could figure out, okay, so what's wrong with
Todd Gurley, and everybody kind of assumed it must be
injury related. But now this past week, after they finally
part ways with Todd Gurley, these anonymous reports come out

(01:03:00):
that Todd Gurley was a problem in the locker room,
that that there was an issue with Todd Gurley, that
that the Rams once he got his contract he changed personalities.
I don't buy it for a second. I think whoever
leaked that report to members of the media. I know
it was discussed on Fox Sports Radio earlier this week.
Colin Cowherd Doug Gottlie both spoke about it. Whoever leaked
those reports to the media, I think that person's a rat.

(01:03:23):
I think they waited until after he was gone to
try and spin the narrative instead of just owning up
to the fact that you paid a guy a year
too early. He got You know, he had the injury
histories you pointed out in Georgia. Before the injury. At Georgia,
he was unbelievable. Even after the injury, he was unbelievable,
and the contract didn't work out. The slamming of him
on the way out the door bothered me and I

(01:03:44):
had no issue with Todd Gurley sort of biting back
on social media afterwards when he went on Instagram and
thanked the Rams for the check. Because his check cleared,
they ended up making an extra five million dollars because
it was a bonus. Uh, Contractually they had to pay him.
I didn't like how they had build it. And if
I were Todd Gurley in his camp, that would bother
me as well too. And I just wonder if other

(01:04:04):
players around the league are looking at that going, Wait,
So if if you know, I suffer an injury and
all of a sudden I don't fulfill my end of
the contract out of no fault of my own, you're
gonna shred me on the way out the door. That
bothered me the way they handled it. Yeah, I mean
I don't really look into this so much, only because
you know, it's never a happy ending unless we're talking

(01:04:25):
about the Asia. You know Asia right up in West
Palm Beach. You know that's you know what you took
straight from I. I was ready to go, unless we're
talking Bob Crafted. You took it right from me. Good
for you. Well, yeah, yeah, there's not too many owners
are going to be putting out billboards both where you
play and where you're going to play, thanking you. Uh,
that is a happy ending my phone. Um, but you

(01:04:46):
know it is what it is. You know they made
the investment, and you know it didn't necessarily pan out.
And the interesting thing is, I remember talking to the
coaching staff after the Super Bowl season when they lost
the Patriots a couple of years ago, and look, he
had a phenomenal fourteen games in the regular season, but
then he missed a couple. C. J. Anderson came in,
played well, and he was really the better back through

(01:05:07):
the playoffs. And I remember talking to one of the
coaches on that staff. He's no longer there, and he
said to me, he goes go back and watch some
of the early tape. He goes watch and see if
he's not leaving some yards out there. And there was
sometimes we were like huh, like if he was a
little more patient, or he didn't really trust the blocking
scheme instead try to do his own thing, or maybe
he bounced that side a little too quick. They were

(01:05:28):
like some times where I bet in the film room
they were probably critiquing what he was doing. And yet
because the year before was so amazing that you kind
of felt like you can get away with, you know,
doing some different things or doing some stuff on your
own instead of following the scheme, and so I think
there was a little growing that resentment, but a feeling

(01:05:48):
like he did start to do his own thing, at
least on the field, within some of that rushing attack
and leaving some yards out there. Brady Quinn Jonas knocks
here on Fox Sports Radio. Want to hear something amazing.

not to send Canadian teams to the Olympics this summer,

(01:06:30):
and it urgently calls on the IOC and the World
Health Organization to postpone the games for one year. The
IOC had said today it will decide in the next
month whether postpone this summer's Olympics. The games are for
now scheduled to start in Tokyo July, and outright canceling
of the games is not being considered. The US Olympic
Committee had said before today it doesn't want this Summer's

Jesus she fans. Managua was the pick in the Nicaraguan
Legua Prime era of soccer. That's still going down to
nothing at half down four nothing, seventy five minutes into
the games. However, the winning side did just get a
red card, so it's now a mere four one league
so not quite over ten minutes to go, still a

(01:08:22):
chance for unknown Juventus Managua. Now, Steve he got it
at plus two and a half. I don't know I
saw that. I mean, you can play back to tape
plus two and a half. Can we play back that
save to say, I mean, yeah, you're still losing by
three at the moment it left. I'm just saying it's
a little bit, it's a little bit more realist. It
is eleven on ten now after the red card, a

(01:08:43):
chance for another goal late? You know how much ten minutes?
The most exciting ten minutes in all of sports is
when you vent to Managua has down three goals with
a red card. Hard for you to answer, but when
do you pull the goalie? What do you laughing at? Steve?

(01:09:04):
Get that extra skate. I'm not gonna ask, No, I
don't because you don't mean never mind. Uh, there's always
an extra, always an extra skater on the ice. Now
ten minutes from now, when we start the next segment,
are you going to update a final score on his
behalf and we'll see how it goes, Steve pertinent things
to get into, Steve to Seger, all right, Jonah Stocks,

Brady Quinn here on Fox Sports Radio from the Geicoes
Fox Sports Radio Studios, where it's easy to say fifteen
cent or more on car insurance with Geico to Geico
Dot comic call eight seven Auto. The only hard part
figuring out which way is easier? Uh, coming up in
we'll call it about twelve minutes from now here on
fs are there is a player in the NFL that's

(01:09:45):
gonna be looking for work very very soon, an interesting
possibility on his landing spot. We'll get to that here
a twelve minutes from now. Right now, though, it is
time for a little something we do on the show,
and it's called this. Is it a headline or a
US it a lie? Let's go to the newstaps. Now
here's Jonas Knocks and Brady Quinn. Al Right, here we

(01:10:08):

Quinn and I look for two brave souls to team
up with us as we try and stump the other
guy's partner here and a little bit of headline or lie.
So let's go. Uh, let's go to Las Vegas first,
a very quiet Las Vegas where Angelo is listening here
on Fox Sports Radio. Angelo, what's happening? What's up? Jonathan Brady?

(01:10:29):

you're a man, but I gotta go with Jonas my man.
There you go, Angelo, good and there. I'm gonna be honest. Angel.
I usually look, you know, try to work with whoever's
drunk is when they call in for the show. Yeah. Well, well,
speaking of, let's go out to Eugene, Oregon, where Brett

(01:11:11):
is listening here on Fox Sports Radio. Brett, are you
having a cocktail as we speak? Hey, guys, a little
red wine? Okay, perfect, I'll take it. I'll take it,
all right, Very good? Now, okay, I p a and
red wine. I didn't alright, it's like that. That's my partner.
That's what I'm talking about, all right. That is that

(01:11:33):
seems very dangerous to me. But you you do what
you gotta do, all right. So here's how works. Guys.
We're going to read a headline to each other's partner. Uh,
to the other guy's partner. You have to tell us
whether or not it's an actual headline or it's a lie.
If we're tied at the end of this, we've got
a tiebreaker question. You guys, good on that? Easy enough?
We got all right? So I will start with Brett
in Oregon here on Fox Sports Radio, Brady Quinn's partner,

(01:11:56):
Brett headline or lie. A woman in Florida was arrest
it this past week after she sprayed an E. M.
S worker in the face with saliva and said, quote,
I have the coronavirus headline. It's good, well done. You
got a good one, Brady. I told you alcohol helps, alright, Angelo,

(01:12:17):
Here we go headline or lie. A California man catches

banned gas gas mits from gas stations. I'm going with
a lie, my man, tell it's Don Angelo who gas

(01:12:42):

at a gas station. What are those all right? Uh?
Brady Quinn Jonah stocks here headliner lie back out to
Brady Quinn's partner, Brett in Oregon. Here on F S

way to keep spirits high after the canceling of St.
Patty's Day, the town of Dublin, Ohio allowed its residents

(01:13:05):
to drive with an open container of booze until midnight.
I better go with a lie on that there. It
is not that far fetched, especially on a golf cart
that doesn't count as a vehicle by it. Alright, Moving
on angelo headline or lie. Quote brand Grit Apparel dropped

(01:13:27):
sponsorship after quote unquote social media influencer fails to complete
the hashtag ten for ten challenge. I don't know. I'm
gonna say it is a lie, all right, It's not
that much of a lie. It kind of curious what
this ten is that apparent uh spokesperson couldn't do. Yeah,

(01:13:51):
I'm just saying it. Yeah, I agree, al right, headliner
lie here on Fox Sports Radio Brett in Oregon, Brady

sounds tempting, but I'm gonna go lie. All right, baby,
you are locked in? Angelo? All right, here we go
headline or lie. Brady Quinn's partner brettan Norgon headliner lie.

(01:14:57):
In an effort to cause awareness months ago, the NBA

is a lie. There you go, Brett, what abounce back? Bubby?
All right, here we go, Angelo headline or lie. CNN

(01:15:18):

will lead to more divorces than births in the next year.
I'm going with a headline, Oh oh no, my bad. Alright,

(01:15:38):
bretton Oregon, Brady Quinn's partner. This called baby game. This
is a crucial point in the game. All right, bretton
Oregon Brady Quins headline or lie. A Wisconsin woman licked

Wisconsin man, I was to you guys, wanted hear me

we need you. Here we go, Angelo headline or Lie.

A right, So here we go, Headlin or Lie, your

(01:17:24):
We appreciate it. Man, keep drink up, guys and Angela
maybe have a drink. Huh yeah, Angela when you get
home starts shockgun of beers. For God's sakes, how does
he miss that? Even in overtime, I can't win, alright,
Jonah Stocks Brady Quinn here on Fox Sports Radio. Coming
up next, there is a former m VP who could
be on the lookout for work and he could be

(01:17:45):
coming to a team near You find out who we're
talking about next year on FSR. Oh Man, I just
picture you, I just I picture you in the Dublin
Kaufman weight room on the gas the squat rack, ready
to throw up six plates on each side, getting ready
for the season, getting ready for spring ball. Brady Quinn,

(01:18:08):
isn't that right? I mean a little little heavy for
high school? But sure, yeah, no, definitely that was listening
to the song. I'm not sure I was. Yeah, I'm
not sure I was squatting quite that much at that age.
But do you ever think about like some of the
lifts they used to make us do in high school
football and how how bad college? Like I remember having

(01:18:30):
like five pounds on my back and I was like,
I'm a long legged guy, Like I'm not built for
Dwight need to squat this much like, dude, taking that
off of the rack was like the most humbling experience
in your lifetime. Oh yeah, because your legs, your your
legs are shaking side. Everything is just trying to like
hold on for dear life. Like taking it off the

(01:18:50):
rack is like that's where you were, Like, you know
immediately whether or not you're gonna be able to do
that rep based on how you feel when you take
it off the rack, because if you take it off
and your first thought is rap, but trust me, when
you're trying to squat, you're definitely not gonna be getting
getting up out of that hole. Oh it's it's just
it's just so what a humbling feeling. Uh, speaking of
which I assume Cam Newton is probably feeling a little

(01:19:12):
bit humbled at this point, Brady Quinn, Uh, we're going
to play? Where's he going? I mean, what's happening? I
don't know, And I think you know you said this best.
I don't know that Cam Newton would make a great
backup because I think he wants to start. He's a
former league m v P. He's won an NFC championship before,
the problem is, there's been a lot of wear and tear.
He's coming off an injury supposed I had a clean

(01:19:33):
up procedure done in February. We don't know where he's at.
He can't take that Monday night football broadcasting job. Is
what he should take it had like he would be
great and TV whenever he wants to do it. I
just I think he's still got a lot of good
football left in him. And if I'm New England, like
that might be a guy kick the tires on, Like like,
if I want to go into the season, why not
why not bring him up, work him out when you
can whenever this whole thing ends, and figure out what

(01:19:55):
he's gotten left and saying, figure out what your doctors
think of him, and you know he's gonna get released.
Like again, I would be shocked if someone gave up
a draft pick and and you know, you can't look
at if it's a six or seventh round pick. You know,
you can't look at that as an indication of what
he is. It had that has more to do with
his you know, his injury history and just kind of
you know where it's at at this point as far

(01:20:16):
as the Panthers already know, their quarterback is going to
be Brady Quinn. Jonas knocks here on Fox Sports Radio
from the Getico Fox Sports Radio Studios. All right, coming
up next year on fs ARE, there is a quarterback
situation in the NFL that seems like it's bad news
for one player. We'll tell you why it's actually good news.
That's next here on Fox Sports Radio. There's a situation

(01:20:39):
at quarterback that most people think is a sign of
bad news for one of the competitors. We will tell
you why that's not the case. Coming up here in
just a couple of moments that go over. There's Brady Quinn.
I'm Jonas Knox is his Fox Sports Radio. You can

(01:21:24):
and gentlemen, my man, Brady Quinn Jonas has been fun, man.
I mean, it's literally kind of taking us out of
the world that we've been living in lately. Even though
it's part of the conversation from time and time, it's
it's been fun getting to kind of kick it intock
some sports because a lot, a lot's happened this past week.
I mean, forget what you want to say. There's some
people out there who didn't feel like the NFL should,

(01:21:46):
you know, have their new league year begin and whether
or not that they should move forward with Wednesday making
it official to have these players signed their their free
agent deals and announce how much money they'd be making. Um,
why yeah, what is that? Is that? Really? What is like?
Is it going to change if it's a week or
a month from now? Like? How far do you want

(01:22:07):
to push it back? What I'm saying it just it
was the most ridiculous reach of I'm a good person
that I was seeing by people in the NFL media
who were saying, this is a giant mistake they're starting
the league gear. Yet the second it started, they were
there reporting all the news, they were there getting all
the traffic to their websites, they were there all over

(01:22:29):
all top of every single transaction that was taking place
in the NFL. Look at sooner or later, we have
to acknowledge that while we need to be aware and
take whatever is happening right now with the coronavirus seriously,
we also have jobs to do, Like, we also have
things that we need to do. And if it's not
a competitive event and you're not putting anybody at risk,
there's nothing wrong with starting the league gear and getting

(01:22:52):
free agency rolling. And it was a wild week when
it came to free agency. I thought it was totally ridiculous,
people thinking the NFL it was a bad look for
them to continue on. I thought it was. By the way,
thank you NFL for providing us something else to talk about,
something else to actually just kind of focus on or
listen to, instead of everything else that's out there right now,

(01:23:13):
Like thank god for that. Like look, I know again,
it's not like we're taking this lightly. It's just the
fact that it was nice to have something else to
talk about and I'm glad they decided not to push
it back and then move forward and look outside of
and we'll see if this ends up, you know, impacting
any of these any of the proposed trades or any
of the sign free agent deals. You know, we'll see

(01:23:36):
how they're impacted by the physicals, because there is in
the contracts now some language that states for some of
the players they might have to take a physical at
a later date. For some of those big money free agents,
they might be flying to that destination privately to go
take it physical. But outside of that, I mean, there
really wasn't an impact given the situation, everything that's going
on right now. Brady Quinn Jonah stocks here on Fox

(01:23:57):
Sports Radio before we get into this quarterback battle in
the NFC potentially brewing. Um, And look, we're not here
to call out other members of the show, Like, that's
not what we want to do. We don't want to
call people out here on the show that we feel
like maybe didn't provide information that would have been helpful
to the rest of the show and to the listeners. Um.

(01:24:18):
But I was listening to Steve de Sager's National Update
to start the hour. Brady Quinn and I noticed that
that he didn't seem to mention what was happening in
Nicaragua with the JUVENTUSMINA and Managua FC game, because I
know I didn't hear that score in Steve Disager's update,
and that is a game that was going on. I
mean it was there, uh, you know, ready to be

(01:24:41):
talked about and discussed during a live national updates. Steve Disager,
do you have any information on that game as to
how the scores looking now that live that Jesus had
Uventus Managua plus two and his team was losing four
nothing late and then there was a red card so
they lost four to final. So so plus two and
a half. Unbelievable, But you know, round of applau, I
like that. Jesus's unbelievable. I gotta tell you, after the

(01:25:03):
past couple of weeks, After the past couple of weeks,
he's got he's gone to Nicaragua, it doesn't matter where
he's gone internationally, folks, He's on fire. He is on fire.
I think I maybe starting to turn the corner. That's
how bad he's been. That two in a row qualifies
as on fire. He is scraping the bottom of the

(01:25:26):
battle whatever he needs to to survive at this point.
I mean, next thing, we know he's gonna been on
the sports. If he bets on the sports, Uh, he's
never a lied back on the show. I'm not gonna
bet on video people playing video games, all right, I'm not.
I'm not gonna let him. That was a real race today. Games.
I mean, come on, we're playing video games now, Like,

(01:25:48):
what can someone explain to me how that works? It's true,
you know, like there's there's a lot of talk about
this Canelo Triple G fight. So does this mean because
nobody can compete anymore, they're just gonna play Mike Tyson's
and chat against each other? Like, what's happening here? I
got did they really play an East Sports game in
the race? And that's gonna it's not gonna account no.

(01:26:09):
But it was on FS one today and I had
the regular NASCAR announcers, and they had a thirty five
car field with thirty five NASCAR drivers either at the
studios in Charlotte or at their own home. And the
guy who was the winner said he had a near
forty thou dollar video games set up. He was at
home driving and beating Dale Jr. At the end. I mean,

(01:26:30):
I was just gonna say, like, how would you even
prepare for that? Like? Are these guys like avid gamers?
Only a couple in the field apparently were avid. The
guys that we haven't heard of as drivers. It's ridiculous.
That makes sense. Yes, it's a forty dollar video games
set up. It's ridiculous, like nobody TV and ten thousand
for everything else? Like, how does that? Like? I don't

(01:26:53):
get it all right, Brady Quinn Jonah stocks here on
Fox Sports Radio. One of the moves that was made
this week Brady Quinn and the NFL was there was
a trade. Uh. There was a trade between the Jacksonville
Jaguars and the Chicago Bears, who always seem to figure
it out a quarterback always seem to But the Chicago
Bears acquired Nick Foles for a fourth round draft pick.

(01:27:17):
So Nick Foles is being brought in to potentially push
Mitchell Drabinsky next season, who the Bears desperately want to
see something from in order to warrant them drafting him
assige as they did. Uh. The addition of Nick Foles
means what to Mitch Drobisky moving forward? I think it's
a good thing. I mean people might say, well, what
do you mean, like you're they're absorbing this contract. That's

(01:27:39):
kind of big for a guy who you know, was
maybe gonna be battling for a job in Jacksonville with
Gardner Minshew Um. But but I think it signals this,
I mean for starters. So both Matt Naggie and Bill Laser,
they have previous experience with um Nick Foles. Naggy was
with Foles in Kansas City, Laser was with Foles and

(01:27:59):
fill Alphia. And so there's the connection where it makes sense.
The other thing is, let's say you brought in Jamis Winston.
Let's say you brought in Cam Newton. Let's say you
brought in Andy Dalton. What all three of those guys
want to do? They want to start and play right now,
like like they want to compete, they want to win.
Those guys are the type that are like, you know what,

(01:28:20):
the last situation didn't work out, I want that next situation.
Nick Foles, even though he wants to start, like I
can promise you that, but he's already been in a
position where he's been the good guy and he's been
a backup and he's dealt with the kind of back
and forth and so look, you go back to his
time in Philly, he had his moments, but he ended
up being the backup, and then he decided to move on.

(01:28:42):
You go to Jacksonville. Look, he looked phenomenal week one,
that first drive literally hurt himself on a touchdown pass.
You can't make this stuff up. And when he by
the time he comes back, the team has deteriorated out
around him. Minshows a better fit. The teams at a
completely different point, and he basically gets benched to put
in shoe back in to finish out the year. And
so it ends up being a scenario where Jacksonville moves

(01:29:04):
on from Tom Coughlin. They want to make some other
changes and they feel like, you know, Nick, nick Foles
isn't worth the price great, so Chicago is willing to
take him on. He's there is a good insurance policy.
But let's be honest. If they had brought in any
of the other three guys I mentioned Winston, Dalton or Newton,
that would that would essentially mean that one of those
three was gonna be starting over Trabinsky in this scenario,

(01:29:28):
I think they know no Nick Foles will be a
good locker room guy. If he ends up not being
the better guy, or if they end up saying, hey,
Trabis he's gonna start out. Depending on how he does,
that will determine how long he plays. Fools will still
be a good guy. And the other thing is, right now,
when you don't have an offseason, you don't have the
ability to have coaches, you know, implement whatever changes they
are to the system. You can't have you know, you

(01:29:50):
can't meet up at the at the you know, stadium,
or can't meet up at the practice facility. Nick Foles
can still be with Mitchell Trabinsky to go over any
tweaks or changes or things that maybe Bill lays just
bringing to this offense different than what he's been accustomed
to in the past. And so that's he's a valuable
asset in that regard. So again, I know there's this
perception that you know, it's maybe Fools his job now

(01:30:11):
to lose, but I actually think it's still Trabsky's job
to lose, and this actually maybe a good thing for
Mitch moving forward. Um. I wondered this because there was
the first name that popped up when free agency started
was that the Bears were discussing a deal with Teddy Bridgewater.
Now that could have been used as leverage, that could
have been a bad report, whatever the case may be.

(01:30:32):
I was surprised that Teddy Bridgewater went to Caroline Carolina.
I know, I know that there's a familiarity there because
Joe Brady was in New Orleans, and it was an
opportunity to start. But aren't the Panthers kind of in
a rebuild spot, aren't Aren't they like saying goodbye to
the past and slowly rebuilding. Wouldn't the Bears have been

(01:30:53):
a better opportunity for Teddy Bridgewater? Or or am I
just misreading him wanting to start and see an opportunity
to to just go back to a familiar place. I
just I thought it was kind of a kind of
a strange fit. Well, wasn't that the narrative too, that
he was being offered somewhere in the ballpark of twenty
five twenty nine million dollars? Right? I forget who posted that,
But wasn't that the rumor and all that that was

(01:31:14):
what her years what he was gonna make. Yes, Yes,
that was to start out free agency? That was that
was the talk that Teddy Bridgewater was was there and
that there were offers on the take that out there.
I have no idea. I mean, I just think that.
I mean, look, it could be the usual suspects. Uh,
you know, you know, the usual suspects, the usual suspects
being used by the usual suspects. But yes, so, so
my thing is, I don't think that I was ever

(01:31:36):
even real right, Like, you don't sign a deal that
essentially pays out about an average anual salary of twenty
million per year. And really when you look at the
deal for Teddy, now don't get me wrong, like he
gets a good amount up front, but it's a one
year deal, and it's a one year you're gonna come
and be our starter kind of prove a deal, and
then after that you have two years that can literally
go away like dust and just kind of be gone

(01:31:57):
in the wind. So I was surprised eyes that he
took the opportunity to go with Matt Rule for a
couple of reasons. You know, A they are in a
rebuild mill mode. And if you look at the track
record of Matt Rule, whether he was a Temple or
whether he was at Baylor, the first year he's there,
it is rough, bro like he is bad, and then
your two is like you know, five, and then your three.

(01:32:18):
He ends up being like a double digit win team
in college football at you know, two programs that were
drafted to be different than when he got there. So
what did he get a seven year deal from Carolina
A six or something like that. I mean, yeah, iven Look,
David Tepper wants to build for the long term. He's
looking for something outside the box. That's what he got
with Matt Rule. Now Joe Brady now is there as
the offensive coordinator, and that was a pretty big jump

(01:32:40):
for a guy who was a passing game coordinator and
wide receivers coach at LCU last year. And I know
he was in the NFL before that, but it was
more of an insistent role. So now he gets to
b the o C. And I think they're bringing in
Teddy Bridgewater thinking, look, there's familiarity because he was there
with them in New Orleans before. You know, Joe Brady
and Teddy Bridgewater have that relationship. He knows the offense,
but you know that the offensive line isn't quite as

(01:33:02):
good as what Joe Brady At the college level, A
L s U outside of Christian McCaffrey, who may not
show up for anything this offseason until he gets that
long term contract. That could be an issue, especially your
best player. There's just there's a lot of question marks.
So I'm curious why you decided to sign there too,
because even though I think it looks it might have
been his only opportunity to start and play right and

(01:33:22):
we don't know that they're not going to take a quarterback,
but working on the assumption that this is the contract,
that this is you know, the guy's gonna start this year,
I think it could be bad. They could be the
worst team in that division. And when you consider you know,
Tom Brady jo wanted the Tampa Bay Bucks, Drew Brees
coming back to the Saints, They'll probably still the best
team in that division. And it's not like Atlanta's going away.

(01:33:44):
I mean, I think that team is gonna bounce back too.
So it could be a rough year for teddy Bridge.
But I was surprised he decided to sign there. Yeah,
I I it was a curious a curious move on
that in that regard the other one that I thought
because everyone had talked about, you know, Cam Newton and
where his numbers at in regards to the cap that maybe,
I mean, you know, why spoil a young quarterback on

(01:34:08):
you know, in a rebuild project when you can you know,
find a veteran somebody like that. So then why not
if you were going to pay? Teddy Bridgewater is basically
making the same this year as Cam Newton would have made.
Correct if my numbers are around the same, right, if
my numbers are are correct, about twenty million dollars towards
the cap this year. If I'm not about that, I mean,

(01:34:29):
I think, I think with Bridgewater's deal it might end
up being a little bit more than what Cams was.
And then there's that whole thing where if you do
release him, you can make them a June one designation
and what for what people don't understand what that means
is you can have half of it essentially account for
this year's cap and then half of the next year's
cab um. I just I don't know, man, I I
don't know. I wonder if Teddy Bridgewater would have been

(01:34:51):
I mean, if he like what like, let let me
just ask you this, because what other realistic possibilities as
far as starting opportunities would there have been for Teddy Bridgewater.
I think he could have started in Chicago with the Bears.
I think he could have started in Chicago. I think
he could start in New England for the Patriots. I
I that would make some sense to me. I'm I'm

(01:35:11):
looking around the league, and I think there are other opportunities,
and I think better roster's for him. They must know
something I don't know, and I know the familiarity. I
just when I saw that, it was a little curious
as to why you would go from we're rebuilding and
getting rid of everybody else and and saying goodbye to
all these veterans, but we're gonna bring in a quarterback

(01:35:32):
on this term of a deal, knowing that maybe we're
not going to be competitive and easily you mentioned I
think they're easily the worst team in the a f
C South. It just it, it's set up. It's set
up where. And this might sound expensive to people, and
I think it's dead cap hit. By the way we're
talking about Teddy Bridgewater is a lot higher though I
think it's around thirty three million, because it encompasses I

(01:35:54):
think a guarantee that kicks in like but that you
know again, you have to look at the fine print.
Sometimes like it would be like the fifth day of
the new league year, in meaning like this past Wednesday
started the new league year. And so let's fast forward
a year from now five days after that point in time.
If they make decision to cut him before that, they
don't owe him that ten million, if that's part of

(01:36:15):
that guarantee. So there's there's different things within the language
of these contracts you have to kind of look at
and see. But to answer your question, I mean, I
think it had more to do with the offense and
and him being a guy who's gonna be able to
from day one will be familiar with what Joe Brady
likes to do. It's a good fit for you know
what I think he wants to do with the personnel
they have Curtis Samuel D. J. Moore, Christian McCaffrey. If

(01:36:38):
he shows up, And like I said before, the biggest
question is whether it's the New Orleans Saints offensive line
or l s U last year, they don't have the
same offensive line. That that group is not as good
as what Joe Brady has experienced during the course of
his career, and so what he does with the Carolina Panthers.
I'll be curious to see if any of it works,
because as much as we were making about the quarterback

(01:37:00):
and the skill players, if you don't have the guys
up front to be able to block, protect, run, block
and all that, it doesn't matter what you put on paper.
That ain't gonna work. He's Brady Quin. I'm Jonas Knocks.
This is Fox Sports Radio Company Alive from the Geico
Fox Sports Radio Studios. All right, coming up next, uh,
we will tell you who has had the best off
season so far in the NFL. Don't go anywhere, It's

(01:37:22):
yours next year at FSR. That song are those of
you listening on the podcast, You don't know what we're hearing,
but that song is what they play after they score
a goal at black Hawks games. At Chicago Blackhawks games,
this is the song they play. I feel like they
do that at some other places too. Yeah, I know
what you're talking about. There was also the I think
the Philadelphia Flyers played Pennywise. Remember that band Pennywise. Yeah,

(01:37:47):
they're they're in atrocious band, but they there's this song
called I think You're actually gonna compliment a band? You know,
you build it up and break it all back down.
I just I just remember people playing it in in
the the high school, my high school football team, in
the locker room after games. I remember people playing it
and just thinking to myself, Man, this song stinks. And

(01:38:10):
it was some Pennywise song like bro hum Or some
crap like that. But anyways, just a little trip down
musical memory, laying here with Brady Quinning myself on Fox
Sports Radio. Just what we do, Brady, I mean, it's
what we do in the middle of of of panel.
This is what we after I chime. Then I kind
of just tuned out. Anytime you start going to that
musical reference thing, who cares you hate every band that

(01:38:32):
ever existed? That's not true. It's it's not true at all,
Not not true at all, not true at all. Murphys,
how about drop Kick Murphy's. I don't hate drop Kick Murphy's.
How about that. I'm just saying that because they're Irish. Alright,
you don't actually point a good point, all right, Brady
quinn Um, So as we gear up for over unders,
it is time to grade favorite offseason move so far?

(01:38:56):
All right, Now, you could just do you could just
do favorite free agents, because this could be easy. This
could be easy, but you've got to include trades because
there were several trades. Um, which is your favorite one
so far? I have one, but it's gotten multiple layers
to it. So so so you go ahead. I will
let you do the honors first. Which is your favorite movie?
The NFL off Season? Okay, So this is I kind

(01:39:19):
of feel like it's a cop out. Okay. Obviously, now
that Drew Brees signed back with the Saints, this made
this my favorite one. But Emmanuel Sanders signing with the Saints,
I flipped and loved. Dude. I just, oh my gosh,
Like something about it makes me think. I just I
start to I start to water at the mouth when
I think about Michael Thomas and Jared Cook and Emmanuel

(01:39:43):
Sanders now with Alvin Kamara, that offensive line they signed
back Pete even though the didn't play great last year,
that you know, obviously played well enough to sign with
that contract for a five year deal or thirtyso million.
So I just I look at that group and I'm like,
holy cow, and like, that's that team is what you're
gonna have to face week in a week out. They

(01:40:04):
steal him from the forty Niners. You know, not only
is are the Saints gonna be battling with the forty
Niners at some point in the NFC playoff picture, but
also to looking at the Tampa Bay Bucks and what
they have. You know, the Tampa Bay Bucks signed their
Hall of Fame quarterback and the Saints are like, yeah,
we're gonna sign our Hall of fame quarterback too, and
we're gonna actually bring in another guy's capable of a
one thousand yard receiver and Emmanuel Sanders. So I love

(01:40:27):
everything about that signing. I think it was sneaky, really
really good. And I think Emmanuel Sanders has so much
left in the tank, so him with Michael Thomas taking
some of the pressure off him. Considering what Michael Thomas
did last year, he said a single season record for receptions.
It was incredible, and he there really was no other guy.
I mean, that was pretty much it. Because even Camara

(01:40:50):
didn't have a great year because he was still banged up.
So Camara back healthy with Sanders, with Thomas with Cook Like,
it's a dangerous group. I'm telling you, people'll Tavia's murder
like people are sleeping on that team that that that's
signing of Sanders and how it makes it all come together.
So I love it. I think the Saints are in
that window right now. You know, this year and next

(01:41:11):
year that's it. That's the window of going forward. And
that's signing to me led me to think that they are,
you know, they're fully all in and they're they're loading
up their arsenal to take on the Bucks, to take
on the Ford Nighters and in the rest of the NFC.
Michael Thomas reminds me of James Harden's effect on on
the Rockets to where you just it's almost like we
we know that he produces at such a high level,

(01:41:32):
but we don't really like, I don't hear a lot
of people put Michael Thomas in the conversation with best
wide receivers in the NFL. Yet you look at the
numbers afterwards and you go, good God. And it's the
same with James Harden and the fact that you know
the ball majority of the time is going to him
and still they're able to get him the football whenever
they want. Yeah, Emmanuel Sanders is gonna be awesome. That

(01:41:53):
offense is gonna be awesome. A much a big addition
for Drew Brees. I actually, and I'm trying to decide
which one I like or it's a trade. I'm trying
to decide whether I like the trade of DeAndre Hopkins
to the Cardinals or Stephen Digs to the Bills more
because I like the fact that the Bills see a
crack in the window of opportunity to try and make

(01:42:15):
a run at an a f C East title, and
they go out and they get their young quarterback, a
legitimate wide receiver threat in the a f C East,
and they paid a hall for it. But the fact
that they went out there and did that were aggressive,
I do. I I love it. I lean more towards
DeAndre Hopkins trade to Arizona. And here's why I think

(01:42:36):
the NFC West is gonna be fun to watch the
entire season. The forty Niners are just in a super Bowl.
The Seattle Seahawks still have the best quarterback in the division.
And now you've got Kyler Murray, who was much better
than I think a lot of people realized a year ago.
You get him another weapon to go along with Larry

(01:42:56):
Fitzgerald and and and the other Christian cur who's on
that offense. I think Arizona is gonna be a lot
of fun. And I'm fascinated to see what uh uh
drawing a blank on the head coaches NA he does, Yeah,
Cliff Kings where he does with that offense. I think
DeAndre Hopkins was a major ad. He's huge. I mean
for a number of reasons, right, Like you know Fitzgerald's

(01:43:18):
got this year. We don't know how much more, but
you know he's a guy who can kind of slide
into that veteran um, that veteran role. And maybe even
when you look at Hopkins and like his role in
the Texans played a little bit more outside his yards,
perceptions went down last year, maybe he he does what
Fitzgerald did, move to the slot, moved to the inside
where you can make the contested catch. You're a savvy

(01:43:39):
route runner, so you know you can play more of
an impact through down red zone. Um, those sorts of
things and prolong your career playing in a warm, brother
place like that in Arizona. So, um, it worked for Fitzgerald,
maybe we'll work for Hopkins. But you're right, that offense
now adding fits Hopkins. Kirk Um you're going down the
line too, is a bell and really much of an impact,

(01:44:00):
but holy cow, man, Cayler Murray's gonna a lot of
weapons at his disposal. See. Mainly concern is I don't
know what Cliff Kingsbury will be able to change. Like
those that offenses, there's little subtle tweaks here and there,
but you know, buying large. Like the offenses that you
get in college, they pretty much do what they do
and they try to out execute and they try to
just put pressure on that week point. The NFL is

(01:44:22):
so matchup driven that you've got to be so multiple
when you've got to very what you do week to
week to a point where I just I wonder if
that's gonna weigh on him. And the more people see
that you know their team, the harder it's gonna make
that seem to be able to have much success, They're
gonna have to rely on Kyler Murray creating and making plays,
and that just doesn't work all the time. I've got
the odds, the most recent odds on team to win

(01:44:45):
the NFC West. All right, So in order UH take
a guess as to how you think Vegas or the
oddsmakers view this division in order of of where these
teams will finish go ahead, take your guesses. San Francisco, Seattle,
l A. Arizona. Yeah, you got that correct. Jesus, could
you could you at least could you at least like
delay in between picks, like at least at least like

(01:45:06):
have it build up a little bit. Here's the issue is,
I knew we had to get it trending in. We
had we had had to get a break kind of in.
And so I didn't want to hold it up anymore
because Mike Bobo seems to yell at me all the
time every time. Every time I do that, it does, man, listen,
like do do night every time? What I mean every time?
I just absolutely trample over a break just alright. So

(01:45:26):
Sam Andrew is supposed to do stuff Arizona, all right,
he's asking me why I sped up, Bobo. It's because
I knew we needed a break. We care about the
clock here on Fox Sports Radio. Careful, by the way,
be careful saying that on the air. Arizona plus five hundred, right,
Arizona plus five hundred. I'm gonna take it, Brady, I'm
taking air. When the when the NFC West, you're out

(01:45:47):
of you, You're out of your five hundred. Come on,
that's good value. Yeah, it's funny. Now you look for
good value because live bet Jesus sure as hell doesn't.
Okay well us. Speaking of which, by the way, Brady
quinn Jonas knocks here on Fox Sports Radio from the

year on fs are for all the latest self from
around the world of sports, and who knows, maybe even
an update on a soccer game that took place earlier
in Nicaragua. It is Steve de Seger with the latest

(01:46:29):
Steve not likely. The Patriots are going to sign quarterback
Brian Hoyer, who was just cut by the Colts yesterday,
turns thirty five next season, gets a one year deal.
Hoyer will earn about a million dollars from New England
and one million from the Colts this year, according to
NFL Network plus incentives. The Jets signed defensive back Pierre
de Seer was just cut by the Colts. Yesterday, Seattle

(01:46:50):
agreed to turns with guard Chance Warmack. The Cardinals resigned
quarterback Brett Hundley. The Broncos defensive back Bryce Callahan restructured
his contract he missed last season due to in juries.
After four years in Chicago. Ohio State gets transfer running
back Trace Sermon from Oklahoma. The International Olympic Committee said
today it will decide in the next month whether it
will postpone this summer's Olympics. Canada announced tonight it will

(01:47:13):
not send athletes this summer. It's asking for a one
year postponement. USA Swimming recently requested a one year delay
for the game, saying it's athletes have struggled to continue
to train. Either way, an outright canceling of the games
is not being considered. Currently, the games are scheduled to
start in Tokyo July. Australian rules football shut down until

(01:47:34):
at least the end of May, and FS one did
carry NASCAR E Sports Today. Danny Hamlin won the race,
competing from home Barefoot's Dale Earn Hard Jr. Finished second,
Fox's regular NASCAR announcer called the one laps of Virtual Action.
Back to Jonas Knocks and Brady Quinn. Thank you, Steve
from the Geico Fox Sports Radio studios. Where it's easy

(01:47:54):
to say or more on car insurance with Geico, go
to Geigo dot com call eight under died for seven Auto.
The hard part figuring out which way is easier coming
up here In about twelve minutes from now on fs ARE,
we will have more from the National Football League, a
ton of stuff still on the table and another wild
week ahead. We'll have that for year twelve minutes from

(01:48:16):
now on Fox Sports Radio. Right now, it is time
for a little something we do on the show, and
it's called this time to put your money where your
mouth is. You know, ryanity. It's over under and for
that we turn it over to our executive producer Lee
to Laugh to find out how we did last week

(01:48:37):
and what the hell is going on this weekly? All right,
you guys, A quick look back to last week. We
were looking ahead to w w E SmackDown on Friday night,
and we asked number of wins Rob Gronkowski would have
at at a half, Jonas had the under Brady had
the over. I can't believe I had to go back
and watch the tape on this, but I think I
gotta give the over on this. That grounk, Mojo Rawley

(01:48:58):
and hold on a second, Yeah, he was a part
of it. He didn't have a There was no match.
It wasn't It wasn't an official match. Well, I don't
know what you call official or non official. And when
the belt, when the bell rings, it's an official match,
leader lap and there was no because well don't guys,
but that's not counted as a match. King Corbin jumped

(01:49:21):
into the ring. I was talking Smack Grunk, Mojo Rawle
and Elias screw him out of the ring. Looked like
it looked like a match to me. I don't know,
of course it did, the being when you get in
the ring, it's wrestling, right. It doesn't matter if it's
a technicality or not. When you get in that ring,
you're wrestling. As a as a wrestler wrestling fan. As

(01:49:43):
much as I used to be, me and Lee talked
about it, I kind of was neutral on it. Looking
at it now, I don't think it was a matchically, Yeah,
it doesn't matter. He's already made his decision. I'm thinking
about it honestly. All right, how don't we throw this
one out? I will go with that. Well well wait, wait,
does to be fair, let's throw it out? Well, how

(01:50:07):
does it impact the rest of them? Well, we can
look ahead and to the next one. It was Twitter
disagreements between Brady Quinn and Pro Football Talk this week
at one and a half. Jonas took the over, Brady
took the under. From what I could tell, like, I
couldn't really see anything, and from what I hear, Brady
might have actually deleted Twitter because he was tired of

(01:50:28):
listening to fake doctors setting out tweets at the coronavirus.
I don't blame him. You know what. The funniest part
about that is the best article I read was not
even by a doctor. It was by like another guy
who just analyzes information, and it was it was by
far and away the most suscent, intelligent like conversation was
like words, and I was like, this is the only
guy that makes any sense. I was like, he has

(01:50:50):
no dog in the fight. He's just objectively looking at it,
thinking this is how we should handle the situation, and
I'm like, why is no one else saying this? Because
they don't. They have have agenda, is Brady Quinn. People
have agendas and they've got to make sure that those agendas.
It's so true, it's so true. Ridiculous. All right, So
Brady one, alright, So that done with the exhibition games?

(01:51:10):
Are We're done with the exhibition? This is the real
start of over unders here on Fox Sports Radio. I'm
looking forward to this, alright, real start looking ahead to
this week. You guys, number of quarterbacks who started in
twenty nineteen that are signed this week at a half,
I'll take hold on, hold on you two that are
under contract so with the new team. I'll take the

(01:51:35):
over that agreed to deals with the new team at
a half and a half. Oh man, we two over.
I'm also gonna take the over all right, you alright,
you guys, that's gonna be one. Right, there's gonna be one, Yeah,

(01:51:55):
Jameis Winston or or they eat to see how they
do in the draft. These guys could wait up whenever.
That is, yeah, right, all right, you guys looking ahead.
Number of times Bubbo leaves the Sager put it up
after an update next week at a half. Over over, baby,
That isn't over? That is it over? Like like there's

(01:52:17):
sometimes I'm thinking there's sometimes I think Bobo is running
the board with his feet like that. That is the
over on that. Come on, man, it should have been
two guys both picked over. God better believe it. Neither one. You'
all gonna win. That's right, Hey, Bobo, Bobo, remember when
you just took jonas Is back there? Okay, buddy, Yeah, yeah,
I'm gonna go ahead. I'm gonna go ahead and take
the over on that one. He took my what he
had your back? So yeah, what else we got? Like?

(01:52:42):
All right, you guys, a lot of people at home
quarantined inside watching their Netflix. Is number of global Netflix
outages we have this week out a half. I will
take the under because I think Netflix realizes this is
a golden opportunity for them. Netflix and the owner of
Perel or some of these other sanitizer companies out there,

(01:53:04):
this is your time to shine. You better have your
p's and queues in the right places. I would, uh,
I would take the under on that. I think they're
going to do a solid job. They have to. I
am also going to take the under. And for this reason,
uh so, essential and non essential businesses seem to be

(01:53:24):
like what we hear from our governors, are mayors of counties, cities, whatever.
And the hilarious part about that is, do you want
to know it's still open. That's considered quote unquote essential
liquor store everywhere. So that's essential, man, You better not
take away on Netflix. That's gonna be essential too if

(01:53:45):
we're gonna be stuck in our house all day. Otherwise,
people are gonna be going bonkers having to deal with
their kids and everything else, worried about getting corona all that,
if they can't drink, if they can't watch Netflix. I'm
taking the under because I think that's essential to the
American way of life. I think this is going to
go down as like whatever this stretches. If it's six weeks,
eight weeks, it's going to be the most alcohol consumed

(01:54:06):
by America at one time in years and years. I
should put an over under on here. On a number
of times I visit a liquor storey day because that's
the only place I'm getting stuff. It depends on I mean,
but this is, by the way, thoughts and prayers to
a lead to lap. Who in this trying time of
social distancing h he can swipe all he wants, but
he can't meet up with him. Bummer for Lee, bummer

(01:54:30):
for lead to Lap. All right, staying on this track
to let's move along here? Um number okay, let's let's
go here, you guys, number of rules your producer lead
a lap, number of roles of toilet paper your producer
lead a Lap has to buy this week because he's
almost at a t P four and a half. I
love how you're talking about yourself in third person. You're

(01:54:50):
by the way you're gonna take the over because why
would you buy any less than four roles? Well, because
the only place I know only has a few, and
they sell only one at a time, only rolling how
much one paper they sell? You guys a store? Yeah?
Well yeah, this say it's still open. Um. You gotta
find a way to get more than that, buddy, because
that's not gonna last you too long. Is it a role?

(01:55:12):
Are they saw only one role at a time or
one pack at a time. There's only one role at
a time at the liquor store all time, Jesus, I
mean there's a couple of meals you could walk through
and use a whole roll on if I had, if
I had a bowl of cereal, I mean, I'm blowing
through half a pack. I was just gonna say so,
just so people understand our listeners at home. Jonas doesn't eat.

(01:55:33):
So when Jonas does eat, you can imagine the massacre
that he creates a a back. Okay, like I hit
like I have a bowl of chili and one of
my socks is a different color in the other. Well,
you gotta realize I am prioritizing here when I go
to the when I go to the liquor store, to Jonas.
So you might want to I don't know if you're

(01:55:57):
taking the over under. I'm changing subject here. Yeah, because
Lily Leasie, he's gotta make balloon animals. What do you mean,
I will I will take the I will take the under.
There we go, all right, you guys, I'll take the
under two. I'm not really sure I should take that. Leave.
Wait are you taking over something there? You're taking over

(01:56:18):
under here, Brady, I just said I'll take the under alright. Alright,
Well that means we've got to differentiate on the last
one here. You got you guys first, one first. One
gets it? Uh number of states under mandatory quarantine by
the end of the week four and a half over,
I got it first, No chance, Lee, that's a bobo
on that one. Bobo. I wasn't listening. What bobo bobo,

(01:56:43):
bobo bobo before you bobo before bobbo, before you take
your bobo, before you say which who you're siding with.
I just don't let you know. You look great, man.
Have you've been losing weight? I don't know. How are
my push up to you? Since somebody said they sucked
your form was great? I'm going with Jonason. Yeah, alright,

(01:57:06):
very back, all right, Jonas Knox, Brady Quinn here on
Fox Sports Radio from the Geico Fox Sports Radio Studios.
Up next, What should the NFL do. It's a major
event in the world of sports. We'll get to it
next year. Nfs. Are that guy over, there's Brady Quinn.
I'm Jonas Knox. This is Fox Sports Radio as we
come to you live here from the Geico Fox Sports

(01:57:27):
Radio Studios. Coming up here in about ten minutes from
now here. On Fox Sports Radio, it is Arnie Spaniard
and Chris Plank who will take over the airwaves all
sorts of NFL conversation continues here on FS are as
we keep you company. You can listen to those those
guys again coming up here ten minutes from now on

(01:57:48):
Fox Sports Radio. Brady Quinn. I remember seeing you at
the NFL Draft on television. You had really really long hair.
Uh you I believe you're chewing gum at the time,
because you sent somebody to go get Chipotle and yeah,

(01:58:08):
so I naturally felt like I needed to chew gum afterwards,
otherwise had some stank breath. And I'm walking up there
on stagage after waiting for about five hours. Um. So
the reason I bring all that up is because I
don't even think we're going to see a piece of
gum at the draft this year, because I have no
idea what they're planning on doing. Uh, apparently it's going
to be closed off. It started out with Gondola's bringing

(01:58:31):
the draft picks up to the stage in Vegas to
now that makes sense in Vegas, right, let's put draft
prospects on boats. It's one of one of the one
of the most over the top worst ideas that I've
heard of that I was looking so forward to watching,
just just to see how I mean, it's not even
like a thing in Vegas right, like, like, I don't
really understand the idea of it. Why that made any

(01:58:53):
sense to someone? All right, so what's the plan? What
are we doing here? Because here's what I think. I
think they should just postpone it until you can actually
have pe Pole there. It's the same thing with WrestleMania.
What are you doing it in front of in front
of an empty, empty audience, in front of empty seats.
It doesn't mean it doesn't have the same impact. I
say they should postpone it, wait till people can start
come out, starting to come out again. I think you're

(01:59:13):
gonna get a much better response from people because they're
gonna be excited to be able to leave their house.
I just I don't like this closed circuit in a
studio with no one around. Look, I don't like it.
I don't either, And um, I mean, look, there's players
who haven't gone in the past, and they have a
home set up now. Granted, if you think about that
home set up, I think we've been advised that i'd

(01:59:35):
have you know, gatherings of ten or more people or
who knows what it is now, But usually those those
like parties for a draft party have more than ten
people hanging around. So how are you gonna go about
handling that based on the reception? If the date stays
at the end of April as it is now and
and and look, you could do that. You can have
a bunch of guys at home or whatever venue and

(01:59:56):
you know they've deemed it safe I guess to be
able to put in a camera and operate from that
they can talk about it and have the reaction. I'm
sure you could do that for the first round. It's
not gonna have the same feeling though, unless it's potentially
somewhere where they could have fans. And the problem is, Jonas,
if you do back it up, how far are you
going to back it up? Like, how far do they
need to back it up in order to be able

(02:00:17):
to have it yet still get these guys able to
actually prepare for the upcoming season, you know, you know,
just so the NFL can be can flex a little bit.
What if they put it up head to head against
the NBA playoffs. Oh, come on, come on and get
out of town. NFL Draft all the way
