Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to Fox Sportsdio. Yes, living the dream once
again on a fabulous NFL Sunday. This is Fox Sports
Red Zone Radio, Hartmann and arm Burger together in our
Fox Sports Radio studios. It is Week seventeen. We have
fifteen games today, nine that are about to kick off,

(00:25):
and of course another game tomorrow on Monday night. We
are down to the next to last week of the
regular season. Here are the games are gonna be kicking
off here shortly, Falcons at the Bills, Giants at the Bears,
Chiefs at the Bengals, Dolphins at the Titans, Raiders at
the Colt's Jaguars at the Patriots, Buccaneers at the Jets,
Eagles at the Football Team, and Rams at the Ravens.

(00:49):
So here we are rich Week seven team and we
got a lot of unanswered questions of how teams are
gonna be in the postseason. Five of the seven slots
as far as playoffs slots and NFC have been clinched.
Only one, the Kansas City Chiefs, the only team in
the a f C that has clinched a playoffs spot.
Hopefully by days and we're gonna have a clear playoff picture.

(01:12):
But the way this season is gone. I'm gonna say no,
that is not gonna don't hold your breath. Yeah, it
really has been a wild season. We got a wild
morning or afternoon on the East coast of this early
slate of football. Because, like we know, you don't want
to give any teams competitive advantages based on wins and
losses heading into their matchup. So the NFL is smart.

(01:34):
They try to slate as many games as they possibly
can have kickoff at the same time or around the
same time in order to have everybody, nobody scoreboard watching.
Everybody is playing for their seating in the postseason or
a wild card birth or you know, to win the
division or clinch the division, or to clinch the spot.
And so that's the reason why we have nine games here.

(01:55):
As we kick off this Sunday, there are four games
with major implication Nations playoff wise for both teams. That
would be the Chiefs at the Bengals, Dolphins at the Titans. Um,
We've got the Raiders on the road against the Colts,
and then of course the Ramps at the Ravens. So
in each of those games, both teams major playoff implications.

(02:18):
Probably the game of the day is this game between
the Chiefs and the Bengals. Yesterday Jeff Schwartz and I
were talking about the sudden wave of enthusiasm for the
Cincinnati Bengals, who if they win today, we'll clinch the
a f C North title. Uh, the Chiefs are favored
in this game on the road, and of course the
Chiefs come in with an eight game winning streak. We've

(02:40):
talked about the Bengals off and on Joe Burrow coming
up this historic five yard passing day. We were a
little AGAs at the end of the game when he
was like Patty his stats on tw touchdowns and getting
hit all over the fear were like, what are you doing?
Keep him at him off the field. But as you've
had a week to digest what the Bengals have done
where they sit right now, are you believing the Bengals?

(03:02):
Is this a team that should win today at home
and snap the Chief's winning street. I think this is
as about of even of a matchup as you can
see down the stretch of the season, and could be
one of these repeats that we see in the postseason here.
I really do I feel that strongly about the Bengals now,
I we don't have as much of a track record

(03:25):
with with Burrow as we do with Mahomes. And so
that's the reason why you balk before you say, yeah,
this is going to be a clash of the Titans,
because very easily this could be a runaway win for
Kansas City. They could win by three touchdowns and by
the end of the game we go, oh, all for not.
But here's the thing. The Chiefs have had a very
similar season as the Cincinnati Bengals, really kind of jekyl

(03:48):
and hide, although it's been mostly you know that that
bad team that we saw or that bad offense or
herky jerky turnovers in the front half of the season,
and then they really turned it on in the back half.
The Cincinnati Bengals, it's kind of been interspersed throughout the year.
You know, they start the season with, you know, that
great win against the Vikings, followed by an awful win

(04:10):
to the Bears. You know, they have the crushing win
over the Ravens in the middle of the season, and
then they lose to the Jets on the road. You know,
it's just been odd. You can't really pin down who
the Bengals are yet, and um and we'll see if
the Chiefs can can blaw them out or if this
is gonna be a ball game. We just don't know. Well, well,

(04:31):
here's what we do know. Chief's opening drive three and out,
So they are punting the ballets of the Bengals right now. Yeah,
there are people that have really jumped on this Joe
Burrow bandwagon after the five yards passing. Uh, including some
that have said, over the next five years, he'll be
a better quarterback than Patrick Mahomes. Hold your horses, they
just slow down a little bit. He's got a long

(04:52):
way to go to get to the Mahomes resume. So
we got that game going on right now. Another game
that we're featured us the Raiders on the road against
the Colts. The Raiders are alive. In fact, believe it
or not, the Raiders control their own destiny if they
win their last two games, which is on the road
against the Colts home against the Charge. Touchdown of the game.

(05:13):
By the way, what happened here Montgomery and Bears. Yeah,
Chicago Bears on a ninety eight yard rush. No no, no,
that can't be right. No, Bears forced a sack and fumble,
brought it down to the one yard line, and Montgomery ranted,
ESPN had it that a yard rush, So it turns

(05:35):
out to be a two yard rush for the square.
Uh the chief or excuse me, the Bears are on
the board first. All right. So, as far as this
Raiders team is concerned, if they win their last two games,
and of course it doesn't look likely as they will
be on the road today against the Colts home against
the Chargers, they can actually get into the postseason. Um,
so they control their own destiny. Meanwhile, the Colts have

(05:57):
Carson Wentz back. Uh. This was not expected by some.
In fact, we had heard rumors, well not rumors actually
verified by Frank Wright, the Colts coach, that he reached
out to Philip Rivers. I'm sure Philip Rivers said, coach,
I'm not gonna come back for one game. If you
want to hand me the ball for the rest of
the season, I might be interested, but no, I'm not

(06:18):
gonna come in in a one game situation. Or would
I blame him to doing that. But it will be
Carson Wentz today. This is a Colts team. By the way,
a lot of people are jumping on their bandwagon saying, hey,
if there's a team other than the Chiefs. The greatest
threat to the Chiefs to represent the a f C
in the Super Bowl it is this Indianapolis Colts team.
But that's dependent on Carson Wentz being a big time

(06:41):
quarterback when it matters. It's one thing to hand the
ball off to Jonathan Taylor and let him do his thing.
It's another one. You have to engineer game winning drives
in critical games down the stretch. Something Carson Wentz has
nothing like that on his resume. We got another touchdown
update here. Washington is leading the Eagles in uh In
in Washington seven nothing on a Jared Peterson rushing touchdown.

(07:05):
They drove the field and scored. How about upset alert
right now? The Jets just scored against the Buccaneers. Jets
just scored, so the Buccaneers are on their heels right now.
The eleven and four Bucks led by Tom Brady, four
and eleven Jets. And by the way, Zack Wilson's looked
a little bit better in the last couple of weeks.
He's showing some life right now. And the Jets get

(07:26):
on the board first early six nothing, lead seven nothing.
They got the extra point. I hold my breath the Jets,
I think have missed more extra points than any team
in the league. So we're offering money with some of
these games. So as far as the Raiders are concerned,
it's it depends on Derek Carr. I mean everything rides
on Derek Carr. And right now they have a good
opening drive going. They're already inside the Indianapolis thirty yard line,

(07:47):
so the Raiders are moving. Something you have to do
on the road. You gotta get off the good start,
you gotta get rolling. And the Raiders look good so
far on this opening driving. Fact, they have a first
down now inside the twenty yard line. Yeah. Update on
the Jet score was Braxton Barrios who gets in on
the rush a one yard carry, it looks like for
the Jets against the Buccaneers. So that's a seven nothing

(08:08):
ball game. And yeah, how about Derek Carr. One of
the more underrated stories this year is how well he's
throwing the football um in despite of everything lost. Henry
Ruggs lost his head coach who was also his offensive
play coordinator. I mean, this is this is one of
those situations where the Raiders could have really gone into
a hard tail spin and not been in contention at all,

(08:30):
and it looked like they were heading for that fate.
But Derek Carr, to his credit, is one of the
few common voices Common Denominators as a voice in the
locker room and has shown great leadership this season. He's
top five in passing yards this season. It's absolutely ridiculous,
ridiculous when you look at the other pastors who are
beyond him. Really he's in the middle. I think he's
third overall. He looks he got Stafford, you got guys

(08:54):
who are just littered with offensive threats around them. He
really hasn't have had much help. And Waller has been
hurt all right. So the Raiders are down to the
eleven yard line of the Colts on their opening drive,
looking very very good. Another game, obviously we're keeping our
eye on that would be the Dolphins at the Titans.
Dolphins have already made history this year that the first
team ever to have a seven game losing streak followed

(09:17):
by a seven game winning streak, although when you look
at those seven wins, they haven't played anybody. I mean,
it's been the dregs of the NFL. Obviously not the
case today on the road against the Titans, as we
sit there today, the Dolphins are the number seven seed.
They are in the playoffs as of today. Get Brian
Flores credit. He sort of held that team together. When

(09:37):
you're sitting at one and seven on a seven game
losing streak, it's pretty easy to turn the page and
say wait until next year. Instead, they rattle off seven
straight wins. Yes, they beat teams they should have beaten,
but you gotta win games, and there's no guarantees in
this league. We've seen that time and again. First and
goal opportunity here for the Raiders after Marcus Mariotta of
the Wildcat gets down in Jacob right down the field

(10:01):
and the score. So Josh Jacobs gets in and you're right.
I mean they drove the field and made that look
easy against the Colts defense that's been good all season long.
Let's hear how David Montgomery got in after the turnover
for the Bears, and they'll go I formation with Tonga
ahead of Montgomery and he punches off the left side
head into the end zone for the touchdown. That easy,

(10:24):
and the Bears have the lad six nothing here at
Soldier Field. W BBM News Radio seven eight a m.
And one FF five point nine FM Bears Radio Network.
He's figured to be Matt Nagge's last couple of games
as the head coach of the Bears. Bears have never
fired a coach during the season. Ever, in the hundred years,
they've never fired a coach during the season. Some people
speculated this week, because now teams can go out and

(10:45):
interview assistant coaches during the season, that some heads would roll.
None did, so everyone's safe at least for now, probably
till the end of the season, but Matt Naggy last
couple of games most likely for him as head coach
of the Bears. Meanwhile, the Washington football team on the board,
Patterson the back Heidiki under center, hand off off the
left edge, fights a crease in between the garden. It

(11:06):
skips into the inside touchdown touchdown Washington the Jared Patterson
from eleven yards out w T e m The team. Eagles,
of course, come into this game in a playoff position.
There are only two slots left in the NFC right now.
It's the forty Niners and Eagles holding down those spots.
Several teams still a mix. By the way, even the

(11:27):
Washington football team at six and nine mathematically can actually
get into the postseason, meaning at eight and nine, they
could actually qualify as a wild card. Are you sold
on the Eagles right now? Do they look like a
playoff team to you? Let me tell you something. Nothing
about what the Eagles are doing really jumps off the
board if you're looking at stats, if you're looking at
how their season has gone on paper. But the one

(11:49):
thing you can say about the Philadelphia Eagles is they
find a way to win, and they've beat some good teams,
and so yeah, I'm impressed with the Eagles. Nick Sirianni,
he wasn't ended much when he took over as head
coach of this Philadelphia team, a guy you know well,
by the way, than siriana former coach with the Chargers.
That's exactly right. He was quarterbacks coach to Philip Rivers
while I was there, and then he followed Frank Reich

(12:11):
to Indianapolis and took over as head coach in Philadelphia.
And I think the expectations this season, we're almost definitely
to miss the postseason. And here he is with a shot.
Jalen Hurts is his guy. They're making kind of lemons
out of the Lemonade situation, and so if they get in.
I mean that is that is a huge buoy to
the confidence that Sirianni is the type of coach who

(12:33):
can put in a culture that they can build on.
All right, we're just off and running, just getting started.
Nine games around the NFL. For all the scores, for
all the stats, for everything you need, keep it right
here on Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. This is Fox
Red Zone Radio, and we've got the place that you

(12:55):
may have miss direct snap to Michael Connor. That's a
reverse roll in like Clexton Barrios clox it under funks
light ppical run. He's in a jetlocks down Clexton Barrios
from the end, a round flip happy option to pass
Soul Lane tucked it under and proved into the end. Phone.

(13:16):
Now back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio.
This is Fox Red Soul Radio. All right. That was
Jets Radio Network. So the Jets studying the Buccaneers right now.
Off to the early seven to nothing lead. But the
Buccaneers have just scored on a touchdown pass Tom Brady

(13:38):
and Mike Evans four yard touchdown. So waiting on the
extra point. Jets leading in this game seven sixpenny and
the extra point. Just to update you the Bears jumping
all over the Giants fourteen nothing Bears. While you talking
about a Giants team that is mailed it in, You
sure Joe Judge is safe? Wow? Um Falcons. How about
this do nothing lead two run shot apparently for the

(14:01):
fuckings on the road against the Bills. We got the
Chiefs of seven nothing slung the Bengals. We've got the
Raiders of seven out the on the Colts Patriots seven
at the over the Jags jetson Bucks now tied seven
all Washington football team up seven at the Eagles. Give
me another highlight here, Sam Trio left single right with
Robinson snapped to doubt not fourth down staring into the

(14:22):
end zone coming across left the right. Donne Moody the
catch head a touchdown, touchdown, Bears zipping from left to right,
Moody the graph from four yards out. W BBM News
Radio seven eight a m. And one oh five point
on FM, Bears Radio network. So Andy Dalton by the way,
starting quarterback, trying to save Matt Naggy's job. Meanwhile, the

(14:43):
Raiders off to a good start. Jacobs will be the
running back. He has been lethal throughout his young career.
Down inside the five yard line, gonna get a chance.
Stands right, Jack Putt baby touchdown Raiders on their opening drive.
A wake up call for the Indian aff as cults
as a Raiders strike first. Yeah, it's from Musburger their

(15:04):
Raider Nation Radio nine twenty a m. So the Raiders
got what they needed early score on the road against
the Colts. It's an absolute muss game for the Raiders
keep their playoff hopes. A lot amazing job by Rich Pisacho. Also,
by the way, you know I was talking about Derek
Carr and his leadership in that locker room. Obviously, Rich
Pisacia in football circles, one of those beloved people, special

(15:25):
teams coordinator's entire career, worked for a long time in Dallas.
Obviously was working with Gruden as one of his coordinators.
And when Gruden resigns, Mayok puts him into the role.
And he's really helped keep this situation together whenever you
have a switchover, especially at the point of the season
when the Raiders lost Gruden due to the emails and

(15:47):
the scandal and the resignation. I mean this, this the
season is essentially gonna go in one of two directions.
It could completely tailspin, or you could have some sort
of revival and they've battled it. But they've had revival,
and now they gotta they gotta look at the postseason,
which nobody expected. By the way, speaking of the Raiders,
were brought to you by one of our favorite cities,

(16:08):
Las Vegas, the greatest arena on Earth. Every game, match, race,
and competition, it is always on. Whoever you root for,
whatever sports you love to watch. The biggest games are
even bigger in Vegas, So make sure to plan your
trip today at visit Las Vegas dot com. Patriots jump
on the Jags Jones with the ball split in the
hash marks has henri A Gannett in motion versus direction.

(16:30):
Turning again, Harris runds it into the right side, joining
the pile to the touchdown Patriots and he five the
Sports seven the Patriots Radio network. The Jackson come back
with a field goals seven three Patriots two minutes ago
in the first quarter. There give us another highlight. Trip
receivers to the right now on motion of the right

(16:51):
tropic the fade route though toward Devin Hey makes the
catchtop stout Tamba by Touchstown bucking a the touchdown drive
by the New York Jets, point away from tying the
ball game, Nanny rocking the Buccaneers Radio network seven seven
Bucks and Jets. All right, we got snow in Buffalo
right now. The Falcon's got a safety early, so they

(17:13):
have an early two to nothing lead. However, the Bills
are knocking on the door right now. They have a
second and goal at the Atlanta three yard line. We
also had an interception thrown by Derek Carr who was
going deep down the sideline. Colts ball again in their
side of the field, so that game remains seven nothing Raiders,
but Colts with an opportunity to march the field here

(17:35):
with four thirty two left in the first quarter. Yeah,
you know, Joe Burrow, it's gonna be interesting to see
what happens with this Cincinnati Bengals game now trailing seven,
hosting the Chiefs. But but, I mean, he's been sensational
some weeks, certainly recently, there have been a lot of,
you know, highlights to point to, but there have been

(17:57):
a lot of those games where he can't create because
his his offensive line fails him. He's been sacked so
many times this season They just put a graphic up
on on the on on the the what he called
on on the broadcast, I mean the number of times
he's hit hit the ground and been hurried. And this
chief defensive line knows that there's weakness there and they're

(18:17):
doing a nice job putting pressure on burrowing. It slowed
down the Cincinnati Bengals offense right there, facing another fourth down,
so the Bengals are gonna have to punt the ball
away again. Chiefs leading Cincinnati seven nothing, seven minutes ago
on the first quarter. Meanwhile, this uh fucking's defense is
hanging tough right now, passed by Josh Allen off Stefan
Diggs hands in the snow. So they got a fourth

(18:39):
and go right now, a touchdown, Diggs dropping and they're
right on his helmet. It bounced off his face mask.
Now Here again is a team at you know, fourth
and goal the three yard line saying no to the
field goal. They're gonna go for the touchdown and Josh
Allen is gonna throw the ball in the end zone
and it goes nowhere. Absolutely late flag. Wow, you talk

(19:02):
about a late flag. That was three seconds and he
only he only threw the flag after the reaction looked
like Digs again reacting to what he thought Diggs. Digs
was the the far receiver. He runs an in route
and he gets held up or really knocked down by Terrell,
one of the defensive backs. Hold on the pass? Was

(19:23):
it even two Digs? It doesn't matter though, if you interfere.
It doesn't matter if you interfere with a receiver in
a route. Now here's the question, who whoa? Here's the question.
Here's the question I I that I have about what
we just witnessed. He was with him five yards of
the line of scrimmage, and you're allowed to put hands

(19:44):
on players. Yes, So the ball was at the three
yard line. He got hit at the goal line, the
ball went to a different receiver. He reacted getting knocked
to the ground. The official was standing there, and then
he threw the flag. So suddenly a whole fresh set
of downs for the Bills. Bill's targeting a big man, Wow,
tach ineligible? Why are they doing this? What is going

(20:05):
on here? This is you know why the Bills have
been an underachiever. It's plays like that Dankins, who was
going on? How about running the ball into the end zone?
Is that possible. I don't mind this play because it
was actually set up really well. But it was great
defense by the end. Uh. He stayed with the tackle
who released on the route Taco eligible corner route. Uh.

(20:26):
And he's signaling to the camera on the sidelines. He's saying,
that was this close. Yeah close. All right. On the
other side, Troy Aikman is gonna be joining us. We'll
talk about that Cardinals Cowboys game. But first let's find
out what's trending right now. Dab Us gone, oh it is.
He promised me would be the decade for me, the

(20:46):
decade of gas probably that two years ago. Then we
got tagged with COVID, right, okay, okay, I opened up
yesterday putting a little bit of money on a team.
They're there, gutless from South end. Oh boy, you had
notre Dame. You're up to seven they allow they allow
Oklahoma State seconds. Yeah, I got that score right before

(21:09):
they happen. And then with three time outs, yeah, with
three time outs, three main they don't try to get points.
All right, Well, don't worry. It's a long decade. On
top of that, on top of that, the decade, on
top of that, my right arm has grease burns and
my left arm has some medical tape. I I have
a distall tendon strain. It's not a good start here

(21:32):
in happening. Yeah, you know, it's not a good day.
I bought Iowa Sam a breakfast burrito. He can't even
say thank you, thank you of work only fifty whoa
next way, Guyoa Sam says he's paying for everybody lunch,
breakfast and dinner. Make lunch and we gotta pick six
in this Ravens game. So the Baltimore Ravens taking early

(21:54):
score against angelas you oh yeah, I'm sorry, got distracted.
What are you doing? Alright? And is ready to go?
So we gotta get rolling here. We will do so, guys,
chiefs ly in the Bengals seven to nothing Raiders right
now have the advantage over Indie seven zip. There, Dolphins
and Titans are scoreless, and as you mentioned, Chicago with
a quick fourteen nothing leading over a halfless New York

(22:17):
Giants football team. Anyways, back to you, guys, alright, no, no, no,
you could give us one more score, give us one
more score? Are you sure? Yeah? Yeah? I am? I
and Buccaneers right now or at seven piece? Brady that
guy Brady forty four years of age, six of eight
forty yards of a touch Okay, alright, alright, well, well

(22:37):
we'll update everybody else and everything else. Thank you, Mr Gascon.
Believe me, two will be a great year for you.
All Right, we mentioned the Washington football team adding that
field goal, so tend nothing over the Eagles right there.
Uh and Troy can we will be joining us shortly
here as we get ready for that Cardinals Cowboys game.
Let's hear the chief score. The ball snapped on the

(23:01):
near hash they give Mahomes time for the INZ card
touchdown Kansas City to Marcus Robinson on an outside inside,
outside inside move for a touchdown on a triple move
to the Marcus Robinson. All right, one or six five
the Wolf and the Chief's Radio network seven that the
Chiefs against the Bengals right now the Bengals are struggling. Uh.

(23:23):
Joe Burrow after his uhi twenty five yard performances twenty
eight yards in the first quarter today. Uh so right
now it is all Chiefs, uh. Patrick Mahomes six and
seven sixty eight yards and the score. He is off
to a really really good start. Um, it's gonna be
a very busy day today. As we mentioned, there's so

(23:44):
many different playoffs scenarios. One thing I want to ask
you Rich. You know, normally you mentioned about seeding and
and home field advantage. That hasn't meant anything this year.
I mean, it's been a fifty fifty proposition as far
as home teams and road teams all season long. So
the idea of now as far as the first round
by which only the number one seeds Chiefs that they

(24:06):
went out. Obviously get that Packers are in a situation
similar in the NFC right now, But this idea that
somehow home field advantage matters, It hasn't matter this year
in the NFL well overall, yes, but that's in the aggregate,
that's when you're talking about the entire league. But certainly
certain teams have benefited from home field advantage. The only

(24:26):
undefeated team at home this year are the Packers. And
I was gonna say, and that's that is namely one
of the teams who benefits the most. And that is
a tough nut to crack. If you're going to Lambo
to play against Aaron Rodgers, who's played there forever as
the quarterback. We don't know if that's going to continue,
he could retire, he could be shipped off to a
different team. Will find out. Um, but but yeah, that's

(24:47):
definitely home field advantage Patriots in Foxborough. That's a home
field advantage given how much winning they've done historically in
the postseason in New England. So we'll see how it
all shakes out. I know this, It doesn't matter what
has happened or transpired over the course of my season,
even if I were you know whatever, you want to say,
say three and six at home on a nine game

(25:09):
home season, with the seventeen game season, I'd rather play
at home than go on the road in the postseason,
no question about it. Right now, the Bengals are reeling. Uh.
They're already down seven out the in The Chiefs have
a first and goal at the Cincinnati two yard line.
The Chiefs have totally dominated this game so far on
both sides. Uh and Uh. Travis Kelsey trying to run

(25:29):
the ball and comes up short. Meanwhile, still no scoring
this game between Miami and Tennessee. The Titans are still
hoping that Derrick Henry could come back in week eighteen,
UH to get ready for the postseason. Titans ironically, even
though they stand alone as a two seed at ten
and five, have not clinched a playoff spot, but they'll

(25:50):
clinch a division title if they win today in this game.
By the way, it's raining in Tennessee right now. We've
talked about this Miami team on a seven game winning streak,
but to see is driving there down to the twenty
six yard line. Meanwhile, Rams and Ravens. Are we talking
Ravens right now? Ravens get on the board first. Stafford
out of the shotgun, three receivers to its left, Michelle

(26:12):
now and come back into his right. Play clock down
to one. He does, just get it off back to
pass quick chuck clok. They intercepted to the end. Zoe
the Ravens. They take the lead, six to nothing. My goodness,
peat w B A L. Ravens Radio Network. So the Ravens,
on a four game losing streak, get off to a

(26:33):
seven out thing lead over the Rams. We're talking about
quarterbacks in crunch time. Matthew Stafford through three picks last week,
but the Rams still one. Are you convinced the Matthew Stafford,
who's never won a postseason game in his career, is
ready to lead the Rams to the Promised Land. That's
why they traded Jared Goff and two number ones to
get him that he can take him next step. I

(26:55):
know this I and I really mean this when I
say it. I feel more strongly about Matthew Stafford's um
abilities and his capability to win them big games in
the post season than I did about Jared Goff. But
Jared Goff led him to a super Bowl understood. I mean,
is Jared Goff a better quarterback than Matthew Stafford? The
answers no. Now the question is going to be on

(27:18):
the big stage. How does Stafford perform? You know, we've
seen him in the postseason. It hasn't been for what
close to a decade now since he's been in Detroit.
Uh did not go well. So he's got a lot
to prove, no question about it. And the only reason
why you're brought in, if you're Matthew Stafford, is to
do that, is to accomplish. But Jared Goff couldn't, which
sets the expectations extraordinarily high. But those are the expectations.

(27:41):
Chiefs on the board again, Kelsey gets in. They lead
fourteen nothing in Cincinnati. They are completely dominating both sides
of the ball. They've been able to move the ball
well on the Bengals. Joe Burrow is under constant arrest
when the Bengals have the football. So we we've only
we've only really taking what twelve minutes off the clock,

(28:02):
and it looks like the Chiefs can score at will.
By the way, we're talking about next week, so all
sixteen NFL games next week are on Sunday. They will
figure out at the end of this weekend which game
will be the Marquis Sunday Night game. It'll be the
one game where everything's on the line. I'll tell you
a game it could be. If the Bengals lose today

(28:23):
and they're off to a bad start against the Chiefs
and the Browns win tomorrow night at Pittsburgh. I believe
the Browns are hosting the Bengals. That could be for
the a C Nor title. Um and that might be
that game. Uh, it's hard to believe this Brown Steelers
Money Night game has as much writing on it as

(28:43):
it does, but it does. In that division, everyone still
has a chance to win the a f C North
Quick scoring update in New England. Patriots now lead fourteen
to three in Foxburg over the Jaguars Damien Harris rushing touchdown. Yeah,
how about the I mean, and that's the beauty of
this playoff season or system, you know. I I didn't

(29:05):
love the expansion. I gotta be honest with everybody out there.
I like the fact that only twelve got in. It's
a very selective group. It makes the playoffs exceedingly special
in the NFL, because you look at basketball, more than
half the team's get into the postseason. Same with baseball,
Major League Baseball. It's just ridiculous when you think about that.
It really dilutes how special it is to be a

(29:27):
postseason team in the NFL. It has been so sacred
for so long. I thought fourteen teams it's too many.
It really isn't. Because switching it so that only the
top seed in each conference get the bye week. There
is so much competition for seeding and and and all
the rest of it. And this year has been competitive

(29:47):
besides the point because every team that seemed to start
to be on the rise got knocked off their pedestal,
whether it be the Bills or the Chiefs earlier in
the season, or the Patriots lately. Wherever you look, there
has been those issues. I'm excited for this fourteen game
postseason again. All right, here's the Chief's latest score. Holmes
neil So talk Tesse touchdow Kansau City burning Trey Flowers

(30:12):
and Kelsey couldn't get it in with his feet, but
he catches it in his hands in the sweet Nectaris
my homes head. Time to throw one. Oh six point
five the Wolf and the Chief's radio network fourteen nothing.
Chiefs dominated this game on the road against since a
me while the Jets have scored again. Wow, the Jets
owning the Tampa Bay Bucketeers. Well, not exactly, but Braxton

(30:35):
Barry a second touchdown of the game, this time a
nine yard reception from Zack Wilson, so we're waiting on
the extra point. Thirteen seven. Jets leading the Buccaneers pretty big.
Playing this Tennessee Titans game against the Minami Dolphins. Fourth
in one situation inside the Dolphins twenty yard line, they
go for it on a QB sneak. Tannehill gets it,
so it's a fresh set of downs inside the twenty

(30:57):
for the Titans going in and more less scoreless games
so far. Defensive slug fest. We'll see if the Titans
can get on the board here. All right, So we
got a lot of scoring going on today around the
National Football League, except for this Miami Tennessee game where
we're still looking for our first score of the game
and we're rubbling and bubbling all the way down to
the yard. Life. That was so close. It's a great

(31:21):
run over the left side. And you said it right,
he might have. He might have bounced off of nine
defenders on his way to the end zone. Alright, let's
hear a Patriots score. Harrish the single back already with
one touchdown today, David takes the kid, runs a right
touch it back to the middle, takes it in the
less touchdown Patriots. This kid looks like he's a different

(31:42):
back that he could earlier the year. Yeah, everyone looks
like a different back against Jacksonville ninety eight by the
sports up in the Patriots radio network, as New England
leads that game by a score of fourteen touchdowns. Oh touchdowns.
Bongles Jamaar Chase on a reception, just ran away from
the defense and touchdown. Titans touchdown tight, so is deante

(32:04):
Foreman after the Tannehill sneak got them the fresh set
of downs who got them down to the half yard line,
and the Tannehill pass puts the first points on the board,
and it's swim with the catch in the end zone,
all by himself, by the way, and so it's six
nothing right now, Titans over the Dolphins. Titans. I still

(32:25):
haven't seen that Jets extra point? Did they miss the
extra I've been waiting for our first miss extra point
of the day. They're still sitting at thirteen of seven.
There was an injury on the place, so they're still waiting,
all right, still waiting there, all right. So, as you mentioned,
the Bengals get on the board fourteen seven, Kansas City
still leading that game. Extra point is good for Tennessee.
Seven nothing. Titans over the Uh. I'm losing track here

(32:50):
over the Dolphins. Meanwhile, we got the Jets back and
on the board. Takes the snap and drops back, looks left,
fires on right and step top Pifelio turns up field,
preak football out touchdown tracts can ferry us touch at
the front right pylon and the chests on back to
back barrios touchdown open the game. All right, Jets Radio

(33:12):
network there, and they did get the extra point. We're
perfect on extra points so far today. All right, so
we roll along right now. Can you tell it's a
very busy Sunday. I don't know how we're gonna keep pace,
but we will. For all the info you need, just
keep it here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Hey,

Bengals radio network. I'm like the analyst for the Bengals
who loves to scream over the play by play guns

(34:42):
that was in. That was an honor of him right there. Meanwhile,
the Bills are rolling a snap the Josh Gonna run
it himself got into the end zone touchdown his second
touchdown run of the game. He hit Devin Singletary in
front of a boxing and a whole Armada Buffalo offensive
Ivan touchdown Bill right w g R and the Bill's

(35:04):
radio network in the snow. The Bills are leading the
Falcons by a score of fourteen to two. Meanwhile, we
had a big turnover in the Titans Dolphins game. After
the Titans score to take a seven nothing laid to
a tongue of viola and a pump fake ball slipped
out of his hand. It's raining hard in Tennessee. Recovered

(35:24):
by the Titans, and now they have a fourth down
if it looks like a fourth and one inside the
Miami five yard line. Titans knocking on the door again.
Also an interception second thrown by Matthew Stafford in this
Rams game against the Baltimore Ravens. Same guy Chuck Clark
who ran one back for the soul score in this game.

(35:47):
Ravens lead seven nothing, got his second interception of the day.
We're not even through the first half of football yet.
Ravens ball. They're trying to get it onto l a
S side the field. And then also we just had
a huge play by the Chiefs Patrick Mahomes on a
long pass down the far sideline to McCole Hardman. So

(36:07):
they're knocking on the door as well, and a pass
is caught Travis Kelsey at to go line. His leg
went over, did not the ball was on the other
side at the one yard line first, and try to
reach his leg back, but that's not where the ball was.
The ball was still not across the line, by the way.
The Titans end up with a field gold extend their

(36:28):
lead attend to nothing over the Miami Dolphins. But you
can see here he tried to reach his leg. It's
a beautiful play at the goal line by the Bengals. Yeah,
nice tackle. They're standing up Kelsey. So uh, Chief's already
leading this game fourteen to seven. Let's hear the Titans
first score. High formation for Tennessee play fake he throve

(36:48):
fad is wide open touch that FLA Jeffrey. Yes, that's
what we need. Take advantage of the field position and
then take it down and get the insob wie g
FX one or four point five Titans rating a network.
They had the field goal ten that they tightened it
over the Dolphins. Chiefs have gotten in the end zone again.
This was on a quick run here by Darryl Williams

(37:12):
up the middle. He gets in for the touchdown, and
this didn't look like he was gonna get in. He
got stood up at the goal line and then a
calvary of Chief's offensive players helped just sort of battering
ram his way in. And so that is the seventh
touchdown for Williams on the season. From scrimmage and the
Chiefs take a now seven lead in Cincinnati. Alright, one game.

(37:35):
We have an updated for a while the Raiders and
the Colts. The Raiders are leading this game ten to three.
Derek Carrs had a great start at eight of nine.
Unfortunately for him is one incompletion was actually completed to
the other team, an interception Carson Wentz in his return
one for six eight yards. Okay, so he looks like

(37:56):
he shook off the effects. What do you think one
first six eight yards Jonathan Taylor doing his things, seven
carries fifty six yards, that's eight yards to carry. My
guess is you're gonna have to do more Jonathan Taylor
and less Carson Wentz. Uh, Carson Wentz. I'm sorry, it's
hard for me to take the Colts seriously as a
playoff contender with Carson Wentz as their quarterback. I just

(38:18):
don't see it. I understand. Look, Carson Wentz has had
a huge hiccup and or a couple of years worth
of that, and I never had a playoff game because
Nick Foles always filled in for it. But he early
in his career, Look, Wentz looked like he was going
to be a hero of this league for for many
years to come, and it just never worked out that way.
By the way, New England scores again. They're up twenty

(38:40):
one to three on Jacksonville. This game feels like it's
being put away quickly. Wilkerson from Mac Jones. The extra
point was good, so again twenty one three. But I
agree with you. Look what Frank Reich has gotten out
of Carson Wentz this season is admirable. If they make
it into the postseason, It's impressive. Frank Reich. How hasn't
had the same quarterback in any single or any consecutive year.

(39:04):
Started with Andrew Luck. He retires, moves on to Brissette.
He's obviously not the answer. He gets Philip Rivers in
free agency, he retires, moves on to Carson Wentz. They
may be a playoff team for the third time in
Frank Reich's tenure his fourth year with the Colts. That's impressive.
I can tell you right now. Carson Wentz is not
the answer. If if Philip Owners asked him, if Philip Rivers,

(39:27):
I'm not saying he's the answer. I'm saying it's impressive
that Reich is back in the post season potentially. If
Philip Rivers asked his buddy Frank Reich, look, the only
way I'm coming back is if you hand me the
ball for the rest of the year. He should have
taken humboff that that was offered. There's no doubt it
was Philips. Just done. It's just done. All right. Let's

(39:48):
let's hear the Eagles, big big game for them on
the road against Washington football team. Hurt again, hurts to
Scott touchdown. That's one way to do it. You just
move the liners scrimmed with your big bodies and coming
right in behind for the touchdown is little Boston Scott.
All right. That's w i P Eagles Radio Network, Washington

(40:09):
football team with the ball leading ten seven over the Eagles,
six and a half minutes to go on the half.
This has been an insanely busy Sunday so far around
the National Football League. Nine games going on right now.
We're gonna have five more games later on, and then
of course the Sunday night matchup with the Packers hosting
the Vikings. For all the information you need, just keep

(40:32):
it right here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio.

to go at the one they give it off. Daryl
Williams breaking off one hit, driving, driving, dragging bangles into

(40:53):
the end zone. Touch down, Kansas City its Terrell Williams
ran off a warriant ray and the Chiefs have their
third touchdown and as many drives. All right, that's one
of those six five The Wolf and the Chiefs Radio Network.
It has been all Chiefs today, twenty one seven on
the road against the Bengals, five to go in the half.

(41:14):
They're speaking of all one sided games. It's all New
England today. A second of goal to go, staff coming
up for the Sex Jones, turns and roll it to
the right, math pumps. He throws to the back of
the end of cup by Wilkersond touchdown Patriots and the
first of his career. Many five. The Sports Hub and
the Patriots Radio Network. Twenty one to three Patriots over

(41:37):
the hapless Jags, who have not won a road game
all season long. They're not gonna win this one. Trevor
Lawrences already thrown two interceptions in this game. So we
are off and running with nine games around the NFL
on this Sunday, Week seven. Team. As we mentioned, we
go into the day hoping to get some clarification because
I always like it going into the final week of

(41:58):
the regular season. Rich, you know, I works especially for
like the last one or two spots in the playoffs.
You know, all right, this team wins there in if
they lose. Next team up, next team up, next team up.
But there's a lot on the line not only as
far as getting in the playoffs, but also home field advantage.
Real quick, Jamaar Chase just scored for a second time

(42:18):
the Bengal Good this kid, I mean, he's unbelievable. So
they just tried for him in the end zone two
plays ago, and Ward, the defensive back for the Chiefs,
knocks it away. How about that catchy mate, getting both
feet down in the end zone and he catches another one,
or I should say another attempt to him single covered
with Ward. He catches that one. So it's a nine place,

(42:39):
seventy five yard drive for the Cincinnati Bengals, capped off
with another Chase touchdown and burrown Chase this season. I mean,
we're talking about one of the most dynamic duo's in
the NFL and they've both just started. Yeah, Jamaar Chase
five catches, a hundred and eleven yards and two touchdowns already, alright,

(42:59):
first half? Not when I say first half. We got
eight minutes to go in the half. Uh, so, very
busy day around the National Football League. Raiders still leading
the Colts ten to three. How about the Raiders defense
in this game? Uh, it's been helped out by the
fact that Carson Wentz has just been awful in this game,
and you gotta wonder. This is a huge game for

(43:20):
the Colts. I mean, yeah, the Rams. Excuse me, The
Raiders need to win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Carson Wentz is one for seven for eight yards. At
some point, if you're Frank Rich, you gotta think to yourself,
maybe it's not his day. Maybe I gotta get somebody
air to shake it up, because three points with four
and a half minutes to go in the half is
not gonna win any games. They gotta get some offense

(43:42):
going here. One of the things they got going for
them is the fact that the Patriots after Jacksonville still
have to go to Miami, who's in contention for the
post season as well. So a team that's still live
in the Colts. You know, they have the tiebreaker over
New England, so this could all shake out where even
if they lose this game this week, because of that
win over New England two weeks ago, it helps him

(44:05):
out big time as the final spots in the wild
card shake out. All Right, the Raiders are on the
move again, and they have a fourth and short person.
By the way, Derek Carr had a nice scramble play
third and thirteen. Scrambled his left made a pass out
within inches of the first down. The Raiders are gonna
go for it. We got three and a half minutes

(44:26):
to go on the half. Raiders are leading the Colts
tender three. If you're a Raider fan, they have to
win this game today. They keep their playoff hopes alive.
So they're going for it right now. It's fourth and
about half a yard uh near the twenty yard line
and it's a direct snap to Marcus Mariota and he
gets the first down. Nice play right there for the Raiders,

(44:48):
so they're inside. They did that at the goal line
on the yildline. Yeah, they're using Mariota in this wildcat
you know whatever you want to call it, zone read
offense a lot. This time it was just a QB power.
They pulled the left guard and lead him over the
right side and Mariota puts his head down and gets
about four yards on the carry and the first down.
Former Heisman trow if you wenter out of Oregon right there.

(45:10):
So Raiders are in the red zone leading ten to three.
Did not expect this, but again for the Colts. Uh,
Carson wants they have sixty eight yards of total offense.
That's it in the first half of Carson Wentz at quarterback.
Will be interesting to see if they go down a
couple of scores here, whether or not they'll make a
change at quarterback. Are they gonna write Carson Wentz? What
what I mean? If you're down let's say seventeen three

(45:33):
at halftime, you're the Colts and you're sitting there with
your quarterback one for seven or eight yards, you're gonna
make a change. I mean probably not. Probably not, because
if Carson Wentz is your starter, it's for a reason.
It's because you don't trust who's behind him. Sam Ellinger,
who was being hyped up all week long by Frank
Wright when it was uncertain whether or not Wentz was
gonna be there. Yeah, like like it would be good

(45:54):
for Frank Wright to be like, you know, you know,
if if Wentz isn't ready, we got no chance. Of course,
she's hyping up sam Ellen. Jerry, Well, he hyped him
up all weeks, and the kid and give him a shot.
And also, if Alinger was so ready, I'm pretty sure
he wouldn't be on the phone with Philip Rivers all
week as well. So yeah, I would leave Carson Wentz
in the game and said just roll the dice and
see if our starting quarterback can't help us win in

(46:16):
the second half. A right. Let's hear that latest score
for the Bengals. Burro catches a shotgun, snap, drops back
three steps, throws's got a man wide open at the
forty and his cat the change thirty, change twenty, the ten,
the five touchdown, Bengals seventy two yards Burrow to Chase.

(46:40):
All right, well we heard that one before. That is
the Bengals radio network. That was the first touchdown that
he had, right, am, I right correct, it was the
long one the second one. Alright. Let's hear the second
touchdown of those two, first and ten from the Gate team,
Burrow throwing it towards the end zone. Chase beats his
man shoulder through touch sticks as Jamar Chase goes into

(47:03):
the gritty dance. All right, So that's the Bengals radar
network as well. Uh, two touchdown receptions for Jamaar Chase
and the Bengals are back in this one down against
Kansas City. Meanwhile, the Rams with inside two minutes to
go in the first half on the road against the
Ravens have not scored and a big reason is because

(47:24):
they haven't been able to get the ball to Cooper
Cup effectively. I think the Ravens are doing an excellent
job double teaming him as he's been all season long
and hasn't been effective. Every team who's tried, many of
them have failed so far. Through the early goings of
this game. Cup has been a no factor. Matthew Stafford
has been a factor in a negative ways, ten of

(47:45):
eighteen for a hundred eighteen yards and two interceptions. Tyler
Huntley who's played well for this Ravens team, and he's
playing well again today. He has ten of twelve a
hundred fifteen yards and no interceptions. Passer Radio of one
those six point six. So the Ravens, trying to snap
their four game losing streak, lead the Rams now ten

(48:06):
to nothing. Now remember the pecking order right now, as
far as the playoffs that concerned. For that seven slot,
Dolphins are sitting at seven, Ravens are a Chargers or nine,
Raiders are ten, so they are all at eight and
seven going into this week, meaning, of course, if the
Dolphins lose Ravens win, Ravens moved forward. Remember, the Ravens

(48:29):
beat the Chargers, so they have the automatic tiebreak against
the Chargers. Haven't beaten the Chargers earlier this year, so
don't count out John Harbaugh. And boy, you know, you
look back in a couple of games when they decided
to go for two point wins came up short. What
would have happened if those games had gone over time?
You know, you go over when you one game matters

(48:50):
between making the playoffs and not making the playoffs. I
would rest easier and knowing that we went for it
and failed then going to overtime, I'm wondering what if
we would have gone for two and sealed the game
in regulation. I think a lot of former players, a
lot of current players would agree with that. I think
fan bases struggle with it because you want to blame someone,
you know, when things fail. You know, Ravens fans, I'm

(49:12):
sure are looking at Harbaugh and saying, boy, if we
don't get into the postseason this here, it's because you
screwed up those two two point conversions and back to
back weeks, well then you're gone, You're out of here. Mr. Meanwhile,
John Harbaugh is the reason why this Baltimore UH team
has had life, I mean completely completely changed away. He uh.

(49:34):
He orchestrates his offensive side of the field. When they
drafted Lamar Jackson, very few teams would have been that
willing to change things on a dime for a single player.
John Harbaugh is a head coach in this league who
is willing to do it. And it's it's it's sort
of been the revival of the Baltimore Ravens in these
you know, late aughts for the twenties, UH and the
twenties as well. Teasa on the move again. What a

(49:58):
battle at quarterbacks. Mahomes is sick exteen one yards to touchdown,
no picks. Joe Burrows ten of eleven hundred sixty yards,
two touchdowns and no picks. You get a feeling these
two guys are gonna be stars in this league for
a lot of years to come. Meanwhile, the Raiders up
ten to three on the road against the Colts. They
have a third and one situation right now inside two

(50:19):
minutes to go. Raiders trying to add to their lead
in an absolute must game for them. All Right, we
got a lot of things happening around here around the
National Football League will continue to update you keep it here.
This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio, Fox Red Zone Radio,

(50:40):
and we've got them place that you may admit. So
Chet fourteen Williams at running backs, He'll get it fine
the center and into the end zone. Touchdow chance out, Siday,
trade up, free trade, spiff blowing open the hole and
the Chiefs have four consecutive touchdown to d Now back

(51:02):
live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio. This is
Fox Red Zone Radio. Well, once again, that was one
of six five the Wolf I get it and the
Chief's radio network. So despite the fact that Joe Burrow
has a perfect passer radio in this game for the Bengals,

(51:23):
Bengals have no defense. Twenty eight to fourteen Chiefs over
the Bengals. By the way, we're brought to you by
one of our favorite cities, Las Vegas, the greatest arena
on Earth. Every game, match, racing, competition, it is always on.
No one does sports like Vegas and the excitement is endless.
So make sure to plan your trip today and visit
Las Vegas dot com. We've been talking about this Chief's

(51:46):
offense that it really hasn't looked like the Chief's offense
that we've seen over the last couple of years. It
does today my home sixteen one yards two touchdowns. They'll
have sixty nine yards on the ground, so the running
game is there as well. Uh. If the Chiefe can
get their offense up and running to the level we've seen,
they could be even more dangerous than they've been over

(52:09):
the last couple of years because their defense is vastly
improved this year. But I'll argue over the last three
weeks they've shown up in a huge way. I mean,
if you look at the point differential between them and
the Raiders three weeks ago, the thirty four they put
up against the Chargers. Of course that came went to overtime.
Travis Kelsey uh just weaved his way in and out

(52:29):
of defenders for the final score in that one. And
the thirty six points against the Steelers just a week ago,
I think they've arrived. I think this this Chief's offense
has finally clicked in the way we've seen it in
the past. And if they keep it up, we know
how it goes with Kansas City in the postseason. You
have to score with them if you're gonna win. And
oh By the way, the defense has played better this

(52:51):
season than years past. And if that continues being the
the case and they can lock in the first seed
in the a f C, they are the toughest out
in that conference. All right, let's update you on all
the scores right now around the NFL. Bills are leading
the Falcons four team five. Falcons will have a second
and goal at the Buffalo. In fact, Falcons get in
the end zone, so it's out fourteen eleven, penning the

(53:13):
extra point. Bills over the Falcons. Bears have taken a
nineteen to three lead over the Giants Bengals, as we mentioned,
trailing the Chiefs fourteen. Titans over the Dolphins seventeen to three.
Let's hear the Titans latest Score's gonna run former to
the right. Forman for the Titans. Forman take six verse

(53:41):
six w g f X one or four point five
Titans Radio network. I love commentators when they go, yes,
there you go, Raiders over the cold thirteen to three,
but the Colts are knocking on the door there at
the one yard line of the Raiders. Patriots blowing out
the Jacks twenty three and a half. Jets still leading
the Buccaneers fourteen to ten, Washington. The football team has

(54:04):
a sixteen seven lead over the Eagles, and the Rams
got on the board. Still trail the Ravens by escort
to ten to seven. Here was that Ram score. Stafford
settles in rose Mill Cooper Cup of the ten, Cooper
Cup of the five, Cooper Cup in the end zone,
touchdown l a eighteen yards in the final minute of
the opening half. The Rams are on the board, Rams

(54:25):
Radio network, so you called out the Rams are not
getting the ball into Cooper Cops hands and Cooper Cup
gets a touchdown there. So the Rams still trailing by
a score of ten to seven to the Ravens. Keep
the highlights coming. Sam two receivers left, two to the
right with Henry on the right way. Shot that staff
to Matt Jones back the throw flock fatty look side
cup I fires touchdown, Patriots on target and on time

(54:49):
for Jacobi's second score of the year. Ninety five. The
sports ubing the Patriots radio network twenty eight to three.
Patriots leading at the half. Mac Jones twelve the fourteen
hundred sevent yards, two touchdowns, no picks. They have a
huntey yards rushing in this game, Trevor Lawrence has thrown
a couple of picks at the end of the season.
Can't come soon enough for this disastrous Jacksonville Jaguars team

(55:13):
touchdown Colts. They rush it in, Jonathan Taylor breaks the
plane over the right side and Indie now is looking
to be where we at thirteen to ten if the
Actra point is good. Uh so, still trailing, but making
up some of the distance here with one second left
in the half. All right, and I was I gotta

(55:34):
give credit what credits to remember we were talking about
Carson Wentz. What he was one for eight? Uh he
went seven for eight on that drive seventh parade and
basically they ran the ball or they passed the ball
every single down until Jonathan Taylor got the short touchdown run.
So thirteen ten now Raiders leading the Coats. We have
not had a miss extra point yet. Yeah, yeah, every

(55:56):
every kick has been There's been a lot of scoring today.
I mean some big wars taggling and tagging along with
what you just said about Carson Wentz. It's one of
those things where everything sort of regresses to the mean, right,
you know, I mean you start out first quarter, you
don't connect with anybody and then at some point in
the half or even in the second half, sometimes it
clicks in. I mean Tom Brady's had half like halfs

(56:17):
like dining quarters like that. You just have to wait
and see and let things develop and figure out what
the defense is doing to your offense. And in this case,
the Colts finally figured it out with the waning moments
of the first half here. So again they still trail
by three in this game, but it's anybody's ball game.
In the second half, alright, Jets have added a field

(56:39):
goal right before the half, so they will go into
the half of the seventeen ten lead over the Buccaneers.
Zach Wilson has looked good twelve nine yards a touchdown,
noe picks. The Jets als have ninety one yards rushing
in this game. Uh So, Robert Sala trying to hold
this Jets team together, and they have looked better are

(57:00):
the last couple of weeks. Uh And that was a
good half of football they had against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
no doubt about it. And if you if you look
at the Tampa Bay Bucks, I mean one of the
things that they've been is a good run defense. Defensively,
they've been able to shut down a lot of opposing
offenses on the ground, and the Jets having success there
this uh, this, this afternoon is a good sign for

(57:24):
Robert Sala because again, you're trying to build a culture
that you're not a playoff team. You're not going to
you know, most likely you're not going to beat the Bucks.
You could beat the Bucks. But my point is what
you want to see is the building blocks for future success,
and I think we're seeing that with the Detroit Lions
in many ways. I think we're definitely seeing that with
the New York Jets tail end of this season. Is

(57:46):
it gonna be the case for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Highly unlikely.
If you look at the score right now at halftime
twenty three, they trail New England. So it's it's a
real it's a complete reboot for the jack to Bill
Jaguars coming up in two. Alright, so the Ravens have
just gotten a field goals, so they'll go into the
half leading the Rams by a score of thirteen and seven. Meanwhile,

(58:09):
the Falcons are keeping it interesting in Buffalo. Second of
goal for the Falcons inside the Buffalo too has to
an emotion away from US kid Davis up the middle,
the end of the ends touchdown Falcons ninety two point
nine The Game Falcons Radio Network. The Falcons have had
some really ugly losses this year, and yet at seven

(58:30):
and eight, you know, if they win today, if they
can upset the Bills in Buffalo, they're still breathing, still breathing.
The Atlanta Falcons. You gotta give a lot of credit
to Arthur Smith, the head coach, and they just forced
another turnover. I mean, it's just it's just unbelievable that
they've been able to keep the wheels on this season.
And look, I think in the beginning of the year,

(58:51):
I think if you were a Falcons fan, you felt hopeful,
at very least you got Matt Ryan. Still, they draft
a tight end Pits in the first round. You're thinking, Okay,
you know they got him a playmaker. Let's see what
happens here. And it really was a non story for
most of the season how they played offensively, but they
found a way or scrappy team. You look at their

(59:12):
season scheduled, they lost games they shouldn't have, they won
games they shouldn't have. They're still in the race. All right,
Every game now is at the half or near the half. Uh.
And it has been a whiley entertaining a day with
nine games going on around the National Football League. All right,
coming up a little bit later on, of course, we're
gonna have the Broncos at the Chargers, Texans at the

(59:34):
forty nine is Cardinals at the Cowboys, Panthers at the Saints,
Lions at the Seahawks, and then the Sunday game, which
is the Vikings at the Packers. I want to get
your quick thoughts here on this Broncos Chargers game. I
had Matt money Smith on this week on my radio show,
the Voice of the Chargers. Uh. He offered certainly no
excuses for that loss of the Texans. Forget guys out.

(59:54):
You got Justin Herbert a quarterback. You need to win
that game. They give up forty one points to a
team that averaged fifteen points a game. UH. I asked
them about how far away the Chargers are being a
super Bowl contender, and he goes, if they're at full
strength right now, they're a super Bowl contender. Now, I
I that might be premature. There. There are certainly deficiencies

(01:00:15):
at the cornerback position. They are down to scraps at
that and that's a little tough in the NFL as
much as the ball is thrown right now. But what
do you make of this game today at home against
the Broncos. The Broncos another team that doesn't impress, but
some of Vic Fangio has kept their head above water. Yeah,
I think there are similar teams in a lot of ways.

(01:00:35):
Both had early success this season. Chargers came out to
a four and one start. So did the Broncos. Broncos
won their first three straight games. Now they were against
the worst teams in the NFL as things pan out,
I think it was Jets, Giants Jacksonville where the three
teams were oh and nine combined after three weeks. So
it was it was it was how about their win
against Dallas. But that's the thing about the Broncos is

(01:00:58):
they had those games where they put it all together
and you're like, wow, you know, so what you think
about Denver Frankly is their quarterback away And we're gonna
see an off season. I'll get to this season in
a second. We're gonna see an off season where you're
gonna have Russell Wilson potentially looking for his next team,
Aaron Rodgers potentially looking for a new team. The Denver

(01:01:19):
Broncos are still a location where it makes sense to me.
If they can plug in a quarterback, they can resolve
all of their issues. Now, talking about this season, I
think whoever gets into this year's postseason has a chance
to win a Super Bowl. I really feel strongly about that.
If there's one thing this season taught me about is
any anybody can win at any time. There hasn't been

(01:01:40):
that big gap in any of these conferences between these teams.
We've seen upsets everywhere. All right, let's find out it's
trending right now. Let's bring on David Gascon, who we
unceremoniously cut short in the last hour. Yeah. Now, And
I was Sam was trying to jam in like seven

(01:02:00):
or more eight highlights before the everbody I'm giving gas
on all the room he needs to take over, you know.
And for people that don't know any of us, yeah,
that is that is a high mark for Steve Hartman,
because when Steve goes into a room, he doesn't like
giving air to anybody. No yah, he walks in, candles

(01:02:21):
go out, yes, yes, yeah, guys at the break, Giants
to end their season quickly. They're getting throttled by the barriers.
Twenty two to three is to score Andy Daltons like
ten of twenty ninety yards and one touchdown. But it's
good enough anyway. Chiefs right now in your recess leading
Cincinnati seventeen to kickoff return was called back because of

(01:02:43):
the old for the Chiefs, Dolphins, and Titans at the break,
Tennessee up seventeen to three to a tongue of below
a dreadful six and sixteen seventy one yards. That's what
happens when mommy plays a team. It's over five hundred
Raiders thirteen tend to break at Indie Page at three
over Jacksonville Trevor Lawrence two I and T s and
this one New York Jets seventeen ten right now over

(01:03:04):
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Washington sixteen Eagles seven and yeah,
Matthew Stafford with the pick six Ravens at the break
leading the Ellie Rams thirteen seven. All right, very very good, David,
excellent job as always, by the way, looking at that
Washington football team still mathematically alive despite their six and

(01:03:24):
nine record, leading in the Eagle sixteen seven and a half,
Taylor Heineke fourteen of seventeen and a hundred and seventy
yards in the first half. Jalen Hurst has play well
nine eleven hundred sixty yards. But getting back to Heineke,
UM and really the Washington football team situation, Ron Rivera
certainly is in no danger. I know he's a favorite

(01:03:44):
of that organization. They've had a lot to get through
this year. Have they found a franchise quarterback in Heineke?
What do you think? I think, at very least he's
an extremely competent backup. I don't know if he's a
starter in this league. I look at Tyler Huntley similarly
in in Baltimore, like really really quality, high quality backup quarterback. UM,
but you need a Lamar Jackson to to play deep

(01:04:08):
into the postseason. You know, Washington needs to find who
it's going to be to shepherd them into what should
be a decade or a half decade of winning. They've
got a good enough defense. I think they've got a
good enough coach in in Rivera now where they can
have success. They need to put the finishing touches on it.
You know, Washington reminds me a lot of Denver. They're

(01:04:31):
kind of a quarterback away. If if they can find
that missing piece, I think it takes them over the top.
Tyreek Hill just dropped a ball like he doesn't do this.
He got away with a push off, caught the ball
and just dropped it, which would have put the Chiefs
at the very least into a field goal position. Chiefs

(01:04:51):
are leading the Bengals by a score of twenty eight
to seventeen. It has been a shootout between Patrick Bohomes
and Joe Burrow. Both these quarterbacks playing at the highest level. Uh,
let's hear the Colt's latest score. Shot that staff for
wins gets off the Taylor. He said to down Dy Hutt.
Then Taylor, it's thirteen to night. All Right's at Colts

(01:05:15):
Radio Network. They had the extra point and we're at
the half right now, Raiders leading the Colts by his
score of thirteen to ten. I will correct it only
because I think it's fair to Tyreek Hill. He that
ball was knocked away by Cincinnati Bengals defender, and it
was a good play by the defender because that ball,
somehow seventy yards down the field was underthrown because it

(01:05:39):
was an extended play By was on him and knocked
the knocked the ball away as it was coming down
with it he was he was him right on the shoulder.
It hit him in the hands and then as he
was bringing it to his body. I didn't see that. Yeah,
look at this. Now, watch how far this ball goes
in the air underthrown there knocks icy I yeah, I see.

(01:06:01):
So they just replayed it for us. Yeah, listen, there
there is no question though that Tyreek Hill and Patrick
Mahomes are one of those Like people were talking about
Burrow and Chase in the talking about a potential Hall
of Fame. Yeah, matchup, and these two guys probably on
their way to the Hall. We're we're talking about two
of the best doing it early this season. That was actually,

(01:06:22):
to your point, one of the problems with this Chief's
offense is how many drops Travis Kelsey had, how many
drops Tyreek Hill had. We're kind of we have that
all in our rear view mirror now and we've moved
on to believe that the Chiefs have all the pieces
falling in place to win a Super Bowl. But my goodness,
like I remember through the first six games or so
saying where is Tyreek Hill? Were like, I mean, we're

(01:06:44):
used to seeing those amazing plays, you know, the yards
after catch. It wasn't happening. It has been lately and
it has so far today this seventeen lead over the Bengals.
We were hoping to at Troy Aikman on earlier on
the show, unfortunately had a lot of business to take
care of in Dallas. Say, Cowboys, get ready for the Cardinals,
and of course Troy Joe will be on the call
there for that game. Let me ask about the Arizona Cardinals.

(01:07:07):
Three straight losses. Uh, They're now at ten and five.
They have clinched a playoff position. A lot of people
kept saying, watch out Cliff Kingsbury. He is so notorious
for late season collapses. And here they are three straight
losses as they head out on the road against the Cowboys.
Are the Arizona Cardinals finished? Are they still a factor?

(01:07:28):
Could they make some noise in the postseason? They will
be in the playoffs or are they waiting until next year? No,
they will be in the playoffs. In my opinion, I
think if you will, they're in the playoffs. Yeah, I mean,
I mean and making Look. I here's here's the thing.
I'll say this about the Atlanta Falcons. I'll say this
about any team that gets into the postseason. There in

(01:07:49):
my in my opinion this season, because we've seen so
many upsets, nobody's out of this race. You know, you
start counting out a team and all of a sudden,
like for example, Cincinnati, I'm saying anybody's counting them out.
But if Cincinnati finds a way to close the gap
and win this game against the Chiefs, I mean we're
going to be talking about Cincinnati in a very different light. Well,

(01:08:11):
they win today, they win the a f C North.
This is a week to week league this year. So yeah,
if Arizona gets a win here this weekend, if Arizona
finds a way to win out, you know that win
their final two games, they're going to be one of
the teams with the best momentum heading into the postseason
with one of the most dangerous quarterbacks on the field.
All right, besides Kansas City. Right now, who is the

(01:08:33):
biggest threat in the a f C. Is it Buffalo?
Is it Indianapolis? The Bengals? I mean, I think it's
New England. Still think New England because of Belichick. That
and Josh McDaniels. Frankly, that whole coaching staff has been
there so many times. Who wants to face Bill Belichick
in the postseason? I really feel strongly about that. Now
you could say the same thing about the Chiefs with

(01:08:53):
Andy Reid in their recent success. But I mean, nobody
wants to face the Patriots. That's going to be one
of the tougher in this postseason brackets should they make it,
because right now you know they're they're towards the back
of the pack here. You know, it's interesting to look
at potential matchups like the old Hey if the playoffs
started today, But like I mean, just to give an example,

(01:09:14):
none of these matchups are likely to happen in the
a f C. Chiefs would have the buy She would
have the Titans hosting the Dolphins. Uh that teams while
we're watching that game right now, it's been all Titans.
New England would be at the Bengals. New England would
be at the Bengals. And then you have the Colts
at the Bills. Wow, that's tough games. I mean, those

(01:09:38):
it's a great at Cincinnati Colts at the Bills try
to pick those games. It's fun, man, And that's what
the postseason should look like, you know. And and that's
the reason why the NFL is so much fun to
watch is because the early series in Major League Baseball
and and the NBA, you just know the better team,
the higher seed is usually gonna win. In the NFL

(01:10:00):
sintos single elimination, you know, you go once and then
you're done, or you advance. Any of those teams can
win those matchups. And and so it's going to be
a blast to see how this pans out this year
because there has been so much more parity this season
than there hasn't years passed. You're talking about the uh
the Washington football team, and talking about the Denver Broncos

(01:10:21):
teams that are looking for that quarterback to get him
to the next level. What about Miami to a tongue
of by load today six of sixteen seventy one yards.
He is not looked good at all. Now. Ganted it
is raining in Tennessee and he had a very costly
fumble on a pump fake that the wall just slipped
right out of his hand. But when this season is
all set and down, because two has been asked about

(01:10:44):
that he believes that Brian floores behind his quarterback because
he says that during the season while they're chasing a
playoff spot. But looking forward, should the Dolphins be thinking
about a new quarterback? Well, yeah, I think so. I'm
not a too believe or I haven't seen anything that
makes me believe that. You know, two is much more

(01:11:06):
than the middle of the second tier quarterback. Like he's
top fifteen, top top seven team, which is nice. But
is that gonna win you super Bowls? Is that going
to get you championships? I don't think so now in
this league. Not when Tom Brady is still doing it
at forty four and you're playing against Patrick Mahomes in
your own conference, and now Joe Burrow in your own conference,

(01:11:28):
and now Mac Jones in your own conference. I think
Miami probably needs to go shopping if they want to
win in the near term. All right, we got a
little time here before we get to the second half
of all these games. I wanted to get your thoughts
on the passing of of John Madden, get your perspective
of someone of your generation the Maden name. Obviously, you
were born long after he retired as a coach. I

(01:11:51):
didn't know him as a coach, so you know him
obviously in his commentary and games and obviously the Madden game.
But I've said this about mad and there are three
names it to me are forever tied to the NFL. Hallis,
Lombardi and Madden. Those to me are the three names
when you say the name NFL, hallis, Lombardi, Madden. But

(01:12:13):
but where where does the John Madden legacy sit with
Rachel Hornberger. John Madden in in my opinion, is uh
so synonymous with his sport. I can't think of I
I frankly can't think of a sports figure who really
towers over his sport the way Madden did for as
many years as he did. Because even as great as

(01:12:35):
Tom Brady is, I mean, we'll see if he has
a commentating career afterward that links him to the NFL
the way his playing style has. John Madden was a player,
good one. John Madden was a great coach. John Matter
was maybe the best commentator and and uh and uh
ambassador of this game that's ever lived. And then, oh,
by the way, he bridged the generational gap by sponsoring

(01:12:59):
the most popular sports video game in the history of mankind.
I mean John Madden. I can't look at a turkey
leg without thinking of John Madden. Now, what did you
think of the combination turkey chicken duck? What is the
tur ducking? The tur ducking? Well again, another piece of
cultural uh significance. We would have as a culture not

(01:13:23):
have the awareness of the turduy trying to get a
turducan together. Now it's again, it's the turkey, stuffing duck,
stuffing chicken. Yeah that well, yeah, you go chicken inside, well,
duck inside the chicken from the side of the turkey. Yeah,
stuffing duck, stuffing chicken. So I've never eaten one or

(01:13:43):
tried to make one in my life. Yes, but that
doesn't mean that I'm not interested in you say, in
honor of the memory of the great John Madden and
the turducan is gotta be something you gotta put together.
I think I think it's somewhere in the very near future,
and that could happen. We could make that happen. All right.
We will continue on as we get ready for the
second halves of nine games around the National Football League.

(01:14:07):
Most of these games have playoff implications. Keep it right here,
This is Fox Sports red Zone Radio. You brought to
the knowledge of America to turn ducan, and so our
friends of the Four Seasons cooked you a turn ducking
there is I think it's a turd ducking. It is
a tur ducan, but I gotta show you how to
I guess I need fresh tur ducking. I'm gonna have

(01:14:30):
crazy tur ducting. Oh, this is Fox rad Zone Radio,
and we've got the plays that you may admits. Here's
how you slice it. See a lot of people don't.
You have to slice it down the middle, see, and
then you slice it across this way, because what it is,
it's a it's a deboned chicken stuffed in a debone

(01:14:53):
duck stuffed in a debone turkey, with dressing between the
chicken and the duck and the duck and the turk.
So as you cut down that way, you go turkey dressing,
duck dressing chicken. That of course the legend John Madden

(01:15:14):
talking about turn ducking. Um Join Burger is gonna try
to figure this thing out. Yeah, I think I could
handle it. And and that was the perfect I didn't
even really think about the bones. Yeah, but you gotta
debone the duck obviously, and then you gotta wrap it
in a debone chicken, and then you go ahead and
debone the turkey as well, and then you got yourself

(01:15:35):
this franken food and you probably have to park cook
the chicken. Were talking Rember on the Thanksgiving Dave when
the guys would pull the legs off, the legs were
not really attacked. Yeah, well, and also they'd add legs.
It was like they basically like it's Frankenstein. Is the
perfect description. It's sort of this thing that's remanufactured, but

(01:15:56):
it's not really loved when John would talk about the food,
because like you could just hear me, was the excitement
for the food was only equaled by his excitement for football, Like, no,
you got the legs, you got six legs here, and
so we added the two back here. You could see
in that up front then like it's just it was, yeah,

(01:16:17):
he's all, there will never be a job at a
period exclamation point. By the way, I love to hear
what he would have to say about the New York
Giants today in their first half against the Bears, Bears
leading twenty two to three, and now in the third quarter,
Mike Glennan, the quarterback of the Giants is one for
two for four yards. Oh no, I'm watching the Titans

(01:16:38):
go the other way. You got you watching that game.
Jamaar Chase just caught a long shot from Joe Burrow here,
four score the Cincinnati Bengals still trailing the Chiefs. But
look at this place, Steve here, it is down the
far sideline Chase. I don't know how he got all

(01:17:01):
by himself, but that is another what sixty plus reception
for Jamaar Chase. He's got six catches a hundred eighty
yards on the day and and three touchdown and three
touchdowns for the Pro Bowls starting rookie. Uh is he
in good shape for offensive Rookie of the Year? Would
you say? I would argue? I would argue, My goodness, yeah,

(01:17:23):
I think Jamar Chase should win that. By the way,
right before the half, the Falcon's got a field goal.
So Buffalo is trailing at the half to Atlanta in
Buffalo in the snow fifteen of fourteen, as the Falcons
try to keep their faint hopes alive for the postseason,

(01:17:44):
Colts got back in the lead, wins play action steps
up and it bates traffic that was gonna roll over
the right side, throws on the run downfield towards the
insult and it's broken up. T Why help out the
cart two? It is right there to the coast for
a touchdown. Alright, Colts Radio network. So the Colts take

(01:18:06):
the seventeen thirteen lead over the Raiders, who got nine
minutes ago in the third quarter. There give me another highlight.
They're gonna go for it this top. It's another quick
pitch and I just Scott leaping for the touchdown. Scott
flew into the air for the touchdown. That is ninety
four w I p the Eagles radio network. So the
Eagles cut the lead to sixteen fourteen. Right now, Washington

(01:18:31):
Football team leading the Eagles five twenty two to go
on the third. Meanwhile, well, the Pats keep rolling, keep
us into the left of Jos takes the staff of
play fake. I throw a worker says, oh, I just
touchdown Patriots ninety five the sports having the Patriots radio
network thirty four to three. We finally had our first

(01:18:53):
missed extra point of the game. I don't think it's
gonna be a factor. Patriots leading in the Jacks three.
Mac Jones is eighteen of twenty two with three touchdown
passes UH in this game for the Patriots as they
look to clinch a playoff spot. But getting back to
this Chiefs Bengals game, the numbers in this game are

(01:19:13):
just staggering. UH. For Joe Burrow again UH, coming off
his five hundred and twenty five yard passing performance today,
he is seventeen of twenty three, two hundred and sixty
seven yards, three touchdowns, all to Jamaar Chase, who has
mentioned earlier six catches hundred eighty yards in those three touchdowns.

(01:19:34):
That's a pass irania one fifty one point six for
Joe Burrow. And all of a sudden, this Bengals team,
if there's any doubts about their offense, this is against
a Chiefs defense that has been playing outstanding football and
they're just carving them up. And meanwhile, the Rams have
their third turnover the day, all their turnovers coming by
way of Matthew Stafford. He had two interceptions in the

(01:19:57):
first half to the same player, Chuck Clark on the
Ravens defense, and then opening drive of the second half
get sacked, fumbles it away and now it's Ravens ball,
and where are they at? There are there Yeah, they're
on the Rams side of the field. So it's been
miserable day for Matthew Stafford here in a game that's

(01:20:19):
going to have consequences if they lose here against the Ravens.
Al right, game and no, we mean he expect the future.
These two coaches. Bears now leading twenty three of the Giants,
has mentioned Mike glennan quarterback for the Giants today, is
one of two for four yards. He's been sacked for
twenty yards. That's a negative sixteen net yards passing for
the Giants in the third quarter. All right, we roll on,

(01:20:41):
just keep it right here. This is Fox Sports Red
Zone Radio. Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk
lineup in the nation. Catch all of our shows at
Fox Sports Radio dot com and within the I Heart
Radio app search f s R to listen live. That
golst a handoff Todd Johnson on sight, extra effort stretches

(01:21:02):
the ball out, touchdown sucks, and somehow stuted across the
gold long for a one yard touchdown run. And the
Jets have a two store league. All right, that's the
Jets radio network. Yeah, don't adjust your herring. The Jets
are leading the Buccaneers twenty four to ten rich Two

(01:21:24):
weeks ago, the Buccaneers got shut out by the Saints.
They didn't bounce back against Carolina, But now ten points
six minutes ago in the third quarter against the Jets.
Are the Buccaneers losing some of their luster right now?
You look at the Cowboys are playing some pretty good football.
Packers obviously on the roll. Are the Buccaneers still in

(01:21:46):
the conversation? Well, the Buccaneers need to win this football game.
And I mean, don't get me wrong when I tell
you this. Do I think that they could bounce back
from loss against the Jets? Sure? But stack too many
of these up and it shakes your confidence. This is
the third ranked UH rushing defense and they allowed more

(01:22:07):
yards in the first half than they do per game.
You know, I mean, they just they gotta figure this
one out. They need to have some inertia heading in
the right direction. After very frustrating loss a week ago
where Tom Brady was actually worn by the league that
if he breaks another tablet on the sideline, he's gonna
be fined for for smashing these Microsoft surfaces. Well, going

(01:22:28):
into that game, they had had four straight games of
thirty points and they get shut out unbelievably by the Saints,
and they bounced back with thirty plus points against Carolina
last Well, that's right, yeah, I'm I'm discounting the Carolina
way between very forgettable, believe me. But it's not looking
good for the Bucks right now. So they had the
ball inside five minutes ago and the third quarter trailing
the Jets, Jets four to ten. Meanwhile, the Bears are

(01:22:52):
having today snap for the two. Here's the hand off,
Montgomery blessing up the middle head into the end zone
of touchdown this second of the day. The Bears lead
is Novelow it's three over the New York Giants WBBM
News Radio seven eighty am and one of five point
nine FM Bears Radio network to three Bears. And again

(01:23:15):
the Giants have negative sixteen net yards passing in this game.
The Giants do not want to make Joe Judge the
third consecutive coach to be fired after two seasons. Uh,
do you see any reason to keep Joe Judge around
for another year? You know, it really comes down to
what the locker room thinks about Joe Judge. I think
that's that's the look, that's the gold standard. Like when

(01:23:38):
you look at first year head coaches in the case
and I'll make this comparison again. But like in the
case of the lines hiring of Dan Campbell and the
Jacksonville Jaguars hiring of Urban Meyer, one of those two coaches,
UM also had a terrible season but found a way
to inspire his locker room through a very poor season.

(01:23:58):
And that's Dan Campbell and that's the reason why we'll
see him again next year. Um. It was in the
case for urban Meyer, became very clear that he was
more of a distraction than a benefit to keeping around
through the end of this season. But even then he
wouldn't have made it through the off season. They would
have moved off of him. So it comes down to
how much the the locker room has rallied around this

(01:24:20):
head coach. And I don't know they answer that question,
but we'll find out soon. Were brought to you by
one of our of our favorite cities, Las Vegas, the
greatest arena on Earth Planard Tip today of Vegas, Las
Vegas dot com. Let me ask you this, if you
had gone into the season and you're betting on which
two coaches, picked two coaches they will be fired to

(01:24:41):
the season and you would or be let go during
the season, and you parlayed John Gruden with urban Meyer.
What kind of odds would you've gotten that those would
be the two guys they would not finish the season
John Gruden an urban Meyer? Maybe two or three one.

(01:25:01):
I didn't think about it like you. If you two coaches,
you're saying, pick two guys that will not finish the season,
and you say, uh, John Gruden and Irban Meyer. No,
he's not going anyway. He just signed a long term deal.
Gruden's got a ten year contract. John Bruden and urban

(01:25:22):
Meyer the two casualties. I will say this though, I
think anybody who knows football, and certainly we talked about
this when the Jacksonville Jaguars hired urban Meyer. Um, if
you know football at the NFL level, you often know
that college coaches struggle when they get to the league.
And the reason is because you have to win over
the locker room. Again, going back to what we were
just talking about about, Joe Judge, like this thought process

(01:25:43):
of going in and because you were who you were
in one national championships and had you know, no losing
season ever at the college ranks, that's gonna somehow impress
a bunch of guys who have been in the league
for the past ten years, or five years, or even
three years. The answer is no, you on earn it
at that level. Think about this. You've got two rookie
quarterbacks head to head today. Mac Jones playing for the

(01:26:05):
New England Patriots is eighteen and two hundred ninety two yards,
three touchdowns and note picks. Trevor Lawrence, the number one
overall pick is thirteen and nineteen hundred thirty four yards
and three pers We gotta go to rhyme. What's going on? Okay?
So there's something weird going on in the Buccaneers game
right now. Antonio Brown was just seen taking off his
his jersey, his pads, everything on his top half, throwing

(01:26:28):
it into the stands, giving the peace sign to the
fans as he's walking around. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers are on
offense on the field, So I don't know what's going
on there. It's something we might want to follow, all right.
By the way, they have a third and goal right
now at the Jets four yard line trying to get
back in this game. Uh, what's what's happening there? Is?
Antonio Brown is Antonio Brown. He's just not all their folks.

(01:26:52):
I mean, do I have to clarify that this guy
marches who his own beat anything? I mean, is he
just quit on the team him or what's happening here?
I mean, the Buccaneers offense is on the field as
this was going on. Yeah, they got a fourth gund
goal now at the four yard linee So Brady just
threw a PASSI grank incompletes a fourth and goal uh

(01:27:14):
for the Bucks down twenty four to ten, and according
to our producer Ryan Uh, Antonio Brown has decided to
take his jersey off during the middle of the game. Yeah.
I'll tell you, look there there is. Yeah. He he
might be like Vante Davis did with the Buffalo Bills.
He might be retiring here and this is how he
decided to notice it. Vante Davis at least did on

(01:27:35):
the road against the Jets. He did it. He did
it in the locker room. Might have been against the
Jets also, by the way a FCST arrival Vante Davis
did in the locker room. He just didn't come out
for the second half and went home. I mean, Antonio
Brown just took his equipment off and threw it into
the stands and by the way, the Bucks finished the
drive in the end zone, Cameron brad catches a pass

(01:27:56):
from Tom Brady. They still trail though six. All right,
the Bengals are on the move right now. They are
in Kansas City territory as Joe Burrow continues to light
it up. Uh. There at the thirty eight yard line
of the Chiefs. They got a first down. Chiefs lead
this game six and a half minutes ago in the

(01:28:16):
third quarter of this game. UM. I did talk to
my dear friend Jeff Schwartz yesterday on the air, and
he was just so adamant about why are the Bengals
considered anything other than And he was talking about the
fact that if you look at Burrow, he had two
huge games against the Ravens, but against everybody else, he
hasn't done all that much. Uh, And how is it

(01:28:37):
gonna fare against one of the better defense of the
league in the Chiefs. And the answer is quite nicely.
He's twenty twenty for three and in five yards and
three touchdowns. Uh. He is just having a day right now.
So the Bengals have the ball. They're in uh, Kansas
City territory. And trying to take the lead in this
game again. A Bengals win today and they win the

(01:28:58):
a f C North, so they'll be winning the a
f C North. Hey, another quick side note the passi
of Dan Reeves, longtime NFL coach, twenty three seasons with
the Broncos, the Giants, and the Falcons. You know there
are two other coaches in the same company as him,
coaches that have been to four Super Bowls and lost
them all by Grant Marv Levy. Dan Reeves. He was

(01:29:20):
the only guy that did it with two different teams,
three with Denver, one with Atlanta. The other two guys
are in the Hall of Fame. He's top ten all
time and career wins both regular season and if you
conclude the postseason. Do you think a guy like Dan Reeves,
even though he never won a Super Bowl, should be
considered an elite enough coach to turn a spot in
the Hall of Fame. So it's one of those things, right,

(01:29:42):
It's uh, it's the old the Dan Marino. Did you
do enough without a title to make your way into
the Hall of Fame? And I'd argue, yeah, because I
thought of Andy Reid as a Hall of Fame coach
before he won a Super Bowl, right. I mean, it's
just the way I feel about it now. I know
that some people subjectively look at this game and they say, well,
unless you have championships, how could you belong in the

(01:30:02):
Hall of Fame? You know, And some people still to
this day complain about Dan Marino. I won't ever because
I know how difficult it is to even get to
the postseason in football. So to have success as much
success as Reeves had over his career as a head
coach in this league, no, no question. He's a Hall
of Famer to me. By the way, if you go
back to his playing days with Cowboys and also his

(01:30:23):
assistant coach days, he was in nine Super Bowls. Nine
Super Bowls, which at the time of his retirement was
all time. The only people have been more are Bellet,
Chick and Brady, So it's pretty impressive. It's a pretty
impressive resident difficult, I'm telling you, it's difficult to get there.
And ask any player who had a long career and
never got to the postseason. There's been many of them.

(01:30:46):
I mean, it happens constantly. Guys retire without it ever
even getting into the tournament. So Dan reeves to me again,
you know, to finish off what you're saying. I think
he belongs. I agree, I do believe belongs in the
Hall of Fames someday. All right, we're going to continue
on to hear. The Raiders are on the move right now,
trying to get back in this game against the Colts.
Colts are leading seventeen thirteen, two minutes to go in

(01:31:09):
the third quarter. Much more action coming up or heading
to these fourth quarters. Keep it right here. This is
Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. This is Fox Red Zone Radio,
and we've got the place that you may admits. Here's
the snap to Radio four. Looking Brady Fellows clock ball.

(01:31:31):
This time it's tambering great with a touchdown ram right
between the eighth and the four touchdown Tampa Bay. Now
back live to the studios of Fox Sports Radio. This
is Fox Red Zone Radio. Alright, So that's Nanny a
Rock and the Buccaneers Radio Network. Buccaneers still trailed the

(01:31:54):
Jets twenty four to seventeen. But that's only part of
the story. Let's go to our producer Ryan right now.
So you had a report earlier than Antonio Brown decided
to take his jersey off during the game. What do
we have? What's the latest going on there? Well, the
latest here. Actually, here's some sound of Jen Hale, Fox
sideline reporter reporting on what Antonio Brown did in those

(01:32:17):
moments during the Jets Bucks game. Very odd situation. Antonio
Brown broiled over, very upset on the sideline, took off
his shoulder pads. Mike Evans J Howard trying to convince
him to keep them on. Obviously they were unable to
do so. He tossed his shoulder pads, tripped off his
shirt and glove, throw those into the crowd, and ran
across the field while the teams were still on the field,

(01:32:39):
giving the crowd a peace outside. Wow. Alright, so Antonio
Brown going out the deep end? Uh? Is there more
to this story? There is? Actually, because this was this
was tweeted out earlier today by Curtis Patrick because he
had an ankle injury heading into this week's game, and
his guest was I'm getting his guest was the ankle

(01:33:00):
was gonna be fine. Given that he needed eleven more
receptions for an incentive of thirty three uh three hundred
thirty three thousand dollars, he needed two hundred eighty more
receiving yards for an incentive of three thirty three thousand dollars,
and he needed three more touchdowns for an incentive worth
three hundred thirty three thousand dollars. So my guess is now, um,

(01:33:24):
he was just upset with the play calling because it
was suppressing his opportunity to make a third of a
million dollars one way or another, and maybe in multiple categories. Well,
I'm looking right now, So God went out for the box.
Gronkowski had been targeted nine times, Evans six times, and
Antonio around five times. He's been targeted only two other receivers,

(01:33:45):
two guys you expect to get more targets, Gronk and Evans.
He've been targeted five times, three catches, twenty six yards,
like he was being ignored in this game. Another another
clip just came out, an angle of of a B
prior to tearing his is the off He's seen having
a heated argument a bit with Mike Evans on the sideline.
I don't know if Evans is maybe restraining him from

(01:34:07):
yelling at somebody else, or if he's specifically drawing with Evans.
So taking time bomb as usual. By the way, the
Bills have scored and let's hear it in the gun,
the snap to Allan ends it off. Singletary, driving forward,
gets down to the one yard line and he is stopped.
Just shure. Now it's a touchdown. Oh wait call by

(01:34:27):
the officials. But it's a touchdown for the Bills, a
six yard touchdown run by Devin Singletary w g R
in the Bills radio network. They add a two point conversion.
So the Bills now lead the Falcons twenty two to fifteen.
As the Bills try to inch closer to winning an
a f C East title, remember they have the tiebreak

(01:34:48):
against the New England Patriots to go in the third
quarter of that game. Meanwhile, the Bengals have the ball back.
They're still trailing the Chiefs twenty eight to four heading
into the final minute of the third quarter in that game.
The Dolphins have done absolutely nothing offensively today, still trailing
the Titans seventeen to three, thirteen minutes to go in

(01:35:11):
the fourth quarter. The Raiders are trying to get in
the end. So it's right in front of us here,
Rich Raiders are trailing the Cold seventeen thirteen. They have
a third and seven at the sixteen yard line. They're
gonna come up short of the first down, so the
Raiders will most likely go field goal here. Like the

(01:35:32):
offense is sticking around on the field, So this looks
like it's gonna be about fourth and to fourth and three,
depending on where they mark the ball. You're down four.
There's still twelve minutes to go in the games, and
they're gonna go for it on fourth and two. So

(01:35:53):
instead of the field goal, the Raiders are gonna go
for it there at the eleven yard line. It is
a long to by the way, that's two and a
half yards. He got to get on a fourth and
two and a half. Right now, Derek Carr is rolling
out and he's throwing and it is touched down Raiders.
That's their Hunter Renfro flag on the flag on the play.

(01:36:17):
Let's see what the call is now. Remember Drek Carr
rolled out to his right on the throne. Connection with
Hunter Renfro. Could be a hold, could be a hold
on the deep. Looks like the Raiders are running out
the field, so it looks like it's gonna be a
defensive penalty. Raiders. That congratulate himself. So it looks like
the Raiders get the lead on the Hunter Renfro touchdown. UH.

(01:36:37):
Penalty was against the Colts. Uh, so the Raiders have
retaken the lead eleven eighteen ago in the fourth quarter. There,
let's hear the Rams. Michelle behind Stafford and Gold from
just outside the one. Stafford opens up kids right side,
Michelle in untouched for the second touchdown of the day.
Sony Michelle's fifth touchdown of the season brings the ramp

(01:37:00):
with in three. All right, and they got the extra points.
So that's the Rams Radio network. Ravens still lead the
Rams sixteen to fourteen despite three turnovers from Matthew Stafford. Today,
Sendy Michelle has sixty nine yards and that touchdown on
the ground. So twelve minutes ago in the fourth quarter there, Yeah,
pretty impressive what the Raiders were able to do on

(01:37:21):
that fourth down play and now take this late lead
against the Colts. UM. More developing on this Antonio Brown situation.
Some sideline fan angles from the cell phone footage have
been released and are being shared on social media. Looks
like during this Bucks game against the New York Jets,
he was having a heated conversation on the sideline like

(01:37:44):
Ryan was alluding to It looks like it looks like
Evans was trying to calm him down. It looked like
he was trying to provide some reason, and he was
like going back to Antonio a couple more times. And
during this exchange, Antonio Brown took his pads off, through
his jersey and his undershirt and his gloves into the

(01:38:04):
stands and then you saw the rest of it from
the broadcast angles where he was running through the back
of the end zone to the tunnel. Well, if I
were the Buccaneers organization, I'd say, don't let the door
hit you on the way out. You're done. I'm pretty
sure you're staying in New York. Yeah. You you quit
on a story in a game, You're done. Uh, we
have no use for you, all right. Meanwhile, though, the

(01:38:25):
Buccaneers had an opportunity and the Jets defense health. So
the Bucks facing a fourth and sixth right now, twelve
minutes ago, Jets still leading this game by a score
of seventeen. Meanwhile, the Eagles have gotten a field goal.
They have finally taken the lead over the Washington football team.
Seventeen sixteen Eagles two D fourteen yards passing this game. Uh.

(01:38:49):
For Jalen Hurts. But seven half minutes ago in the
fourth quarter, huge game for the Eagles. They control their
own destiny. They went out, they will be in the
postseason right now they're sitting in that's seven slots. Yeah,
that's pretty cool. It's pretty pretty cool. I mean, look, this,
Nick Sirianni is a guy you and I both know.
When I came back to San Diego in Nick was

(01:39:10):
on the coaching staff there, you were on the team
and uh, Frank Riich and him have a great relationship.
And now Syriana getting his opportunity. A lot of people
were questioning, is he the right guy to take over
for the Eagles? You gritten raid of a coach and
just wanted Super Bowl only a couple of years ago.
He's done a pretty good job this year. Well, it
comes down to what we were talking about with Urban

(01:39:30):
Meyron Dan Campbell earlier. Do you are you building a
culture where players want to play for you? Do they
believe in you? And he has instilled that confidence amongst
that locker room. And this is amid some real harsh
criticism about how this offense was being ran. And he's
an offensive minded head coach, you know, think about it
earlier in the season. They're not running miles standers, where's

(01:39:52):
the run game? Jalen Hurts is doing too much. This
team is awful. I mean, it's been really critical offensive,
and he's found a way to uh to win late
and to win often enough that it gives them an
opportunity to sneak in. A lot of people said the
Eagles were the worst team in that division going into
the season. Uh, he'll get some Coach of the Year

(01:40:14):
Award votes, no question if this team gets in the postseason. Meanwhile,
Joe Burrow is just throwing another big pass play trying
to get the Bengals back in this game against the Chiefs.
Chiefs leading the Bengals. We just started the fourth quarter.
Joe Burrow now is up to three hundred and forty
eight yards passing. I'm sorry, let me update you again.
Three fifty eight right now. Three touchdowns in this game

(01:40:37):
for Joe Burrow. Uh, and he is now you know
what these last couple of weeks. Seriously, this is the
guy we saw at l s U. This is the
guy we saw win the Heisman Trophy where he just
could do no wrong. He is in such a rhythm
right now with this Bengals passing attack, they don't have
much of a running game. They only have forty six
yards on the ground, but who needs it. Jamaar Chase

(01:40:59):
has eight matches for a hundred ninety six yards and
those three touchdowns. But to think about te Higgins, you
think about guys. They have receivers on this team. But
more than anything else, Joe Burrow is beginning to look
like not just a franchise quarterback, but suddenly one of
the absolute elite quarterbacks in this league. But this is
what you hope for every single time you draft a players,

(01:41:21):
that he's a franchise changer. And that's Joe Burrow to
a t David gascon joining us, what do you got, brother, nothing, something, anything, anything.
I'm just looking at the shirt coming off with Antonio Brown. So, guys,
so he walks off. He was talking to Mike Evans
before he left the field, threw his shoulder pads off,

(01:41:42):
his jersey, his T shirt, ran walked off the field
and uh, he said peace amount. So it looks like
he's not coming back anytime sooner at all for the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But he just mentioned Jets right now,
had a seven point lead with the football at their
nine twelve will five to play in regulation. Washington ten
went four and fourth down their midfield. They got stopped.

(01:42:03):
Eagles with the advantage of the football right now seventeen
sixteen under seven minutes to play in the fourth quarter.
Matthew Stafford with an I N T that went to
the house. He's got two of them in the ball game,
three turnovers. Rams down by two to Baltimore, sixteen fourteen.
It's third down and one to go for Baltimore. They're
at l A seven yard line, eight sixteen under events

(01:42:24):
to play in the fourth quarter. Uh Patriots three of
the Jaguars Raiders with the lead twenty to seventeen. India's
crossing or trying to cross midfield right now, there's about
nine fifty to play in regulation. Ravens just got a
first down. It's will be first down and goal to
go from l A's four yard line. Chiefs and Bengals
right now, it is all Jamaar Chase. Right now, he's

(01:42:44):
got eight grabs, one three scores. Bengals within four to
twenty four. Bear skunk in the Giants Bills by seven
over Atlanta twenty two to fifteen fellas. All right, hey David,
we got some excited finishes coming out. By the way,
I brought to you by one of our favorite cities,
Las Vegas, your home for live sports, and that means
all sports, every game, match, race and competition. It is

(01:43:07):
always on. Now go on and plan your trip at
visit Las Vegas dot com to see the best and
brightest in Vegas, the greatest arena on Earth. All right,
he was mentioning. The Ravens right now are knocking on
the door, leading the Rams by a score of sixteen
to fourteen. We're inside seven minutes ago in the fourth quarter.
They have a second and goal at the Rams two

(01:43:28):
yard line. Uh. And really the story of this game
has been well, I tell you turnovers. Uh this this
is really why the Rams. When you turn the ball
over three times on the road against a well coached
team as the Ravens are, that can be the difference.
And right now the Rams defense, Aaron Donald and company

(01:43:50):
trying to hold up as we got a second goal
for the Ravens right now at the two yard line
and they are going nowhere. They just us two yards
and then the Ravens have had such a hard time
at the goal line over the past couple of weeks.
We mentioned it earlier in the broadcast, those two point
conversion failures that resulted in two losses in recent memories.

(01:44:13):
Play never got started. Oh my gosh, is that Aaron
Donald someone one? Yeah, I blew over the middle. So
they lose too. So now they're gonna have a third
and goal at about the four yard line again. The
Ravens leading this game sixteen fourteen, six minutes to go
in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, big score for the Raiders.

(01:44:36):
His car takes a snap, sprints off to the right,
fires on the run, Jack Puck Babby touchdown. Raiders hun
Infro Raider Nation Radio nine twenty a m. Raiders leading
the Colts twenty to seventeen. Colts have the ball right now,
two to go in the fourth quarter. We'll keep our

(01:44:58):
eye in this Ravens game. Right now. They are trying
to get the ball in the end zone to extend
their already two point lead against the Ramps. More breaking
news out of this Bucks game. So apparently it's being
reported now this is uh t j Reeves on into
or on Twitter, rather that Bruce Arians had actually benched

(01:45:19):
him benched Antonio Brown before he removed his shoulder pads
and left the field. So we're starting to understand more
of what the story looks like. Uh, there was obviously
some sort of outburst on the sideline led to whatever
discipline that Arians was handing down and resulted in Antonio
Brown essentially retiring on the football field. Wow. Alright, well

(01:45:41):
bye bye a b alright, the Rams held sacked by
Aaron Donald and so the Ravens are gonna have to
settle for a field goal at Tammi since Tyler Boyd
gets in for a five yard reception. And so finally
Cincinnati has taken a lead in this all game that's
been under control by the Chiefs since the beginning, thirty

(01:46:03):
to twenty eight right now, ensuing extra point coming, and
the Patriots just added another rushing touchdown. They're up fifty
to three. Yeah, I mean that is over. The field
goal attempt by the Ravens is good by Justin Tucker.
That's an automatic. So nineteen fourteen now Ravens lead. The
Rams were inside six minutes to go. Extra point is

(01:46:24):
good for the Bengals thirty one. Cincinnati leading Kansas City
eleven forty four to go. In the fourth quarter. All right,
Buffalo just scored again, so they have increased their leading
out to twenty nine to fifteen over the Falcons. So
it was get a little dicey. Falcons had taken the
lead right before the half, and now Buffalo has a

(01:46:45):
two touchdown lead. And this has been an interesting game
as far as the Bills are concerned, because it's been
a rough passing day for Josh Allen three interceptions eleven
of twenty six. Now it has been snowing there, but
their running game has produced over two hundred yards rushing
for the Bills against that Atlanta defense. So despite three touchdown,

(01:47:09):
three interceptions no touchdown passes for Josh Allen, it looks
like at least at this point, Bills are in control,
continue to control their destiny to win the a f
C East. Good teams find a way to win when
the game's going pretty ugly for them, and I mean
think about it. Look around the NFL today. Los Angeles Rams,
even though Matthew Stafford has turned the football over uh

(01:47:32):
three different times, two interceptions, one fumble on a sack
fumble to start the second half, They're in this ball
game fourteen nine. They're trailing against Baltimore Ravens. And to
your point, the Buffalo Bills right now are in the
lead and it's been an ugly outing for Josh Allen.
So if that holds, that's what you need to be
able to do, especially when you're capping off the regular season,

(01:47:54):
is win those ugly games and advance. By the way,
it's hilarious New England you mentioned is up fifty two
three over Jacksonville. Uh. They actually went for a two
point conversion and it was it was it was basically
an aborted kicking attempt. Um. By the way, your former

(01:48:18):
teammate is in a quarterback for the Patriots, Brian Hoyer.
There you go, Yes, you don't know this story, Rich
when he played in his three seasons with the Patriots.
Your roommate was my camp roommate. Every training camp was
me and Brian Houyer. He was from Michigan State, undrafted
free agent. I was out of Penn State, and we
we coupled up for the off seasons for training camps,

(01:48:41):
and every single training camp we started out saying the
same thing, like, oh gosh, I just hope I make
the team this year. And the dude's been around forever
with New England. They have brought they have released him,
brought him back, and what about six seven times. It's
probably about five or six times. And uh yeah, he's
just one of these like backup quarterbacks who had starts

(01:49:02):
throughout his career in the league and and obviously getting
some playing time behind Mac Jones today. Alright, couple of
things right now, the Buccaneers have a fourth and eight
at the Jets nine yard line. Jets still leading this game.
We got seven forty three to go, so we'll keep
an eye on that. The Eagles have added a field
goal to increase their lead twenty to sixteen right now

(01:49:25):
to twenty one to go on the fourth quarter. They
lead over the Washington football team. Meanwhile, the Bills are
looking good. First and goal from the four, Josh under
center snap gives it to Motor Singletary runs into the
end zone, touchdown, touchdown, Buffalo w g R and the
Bills Radio network twenty nine to fifteen. Buffalo leading the

(01:49:45):
Falcons inside eleven minutes ago in the fourth quarter. All right,
the Buccaneers settle for a field goal, So it's twenty
four twenty now, Jets leading the Buckaneers seven and a
half minutes ago in the fourth quarter, give me that
Bengals highlight shotgun Staff Burrow retreats looking Tyler boys got it.

(01:50:13):
Touchdown Bengals here the back pylon, Tyler Boyd with great
funck work, and now he sits up in the stands
and foxes book biceps, best radio. The broadcast of the
Bengals is classic Joe Burrowe Yeah, Joe Burrow twenties six,

(01:50:35):
I'm thirty four, three hundred seventy yards, four touchdowns and
no picks. Yeah, that's a good day. That's a good
day to following twenty five yard day. Uh Patrick Patrick
Whomes is okay, touchdowns, no pigs. But Joe Burrow just
right now is playing on a whole different level. Yeah. Well,

(01:50:56):
this is this is what the NFL wanted, right, you
know you aid all these rules to to limit the defense,
to really highlight the passing game. This is going to
be where this league is heading to see young quarterbacks
have more success than they've ever had in the history
of this sport. We're gonna see all these standing records
be smashed into pieces. Now. Tom Brady can only play

(01:51:20):
so long before he's going to be repleasd replaced by
this new era of quarterback, and a lot of his
stats look like they're not going to be toppled. But
I have my doubts. I think that if if we
see the video game numbers that are being created by
these offenses and the way the games being played, it
may not be that long before we're saying Wow. Couldn't

(01:51:42):
believe when I saw it. You know, if anybody was
going to be able to touch Brady's records and it
maybe a couple of people within striking distance a right,
Colts facing a third and nine right now trailing the
Raiders fight three, and they come up short of a
first down. We are canny down the two minute warning
and the Raiders have held. Wow. Can the Raiders get

(01:52:04):
a win on the road against the Colts? That would
be absolutely monstrous. Titans though, pouring it on against the
Dolphins facto rolling to the right, throwing down field tight
that Titans emity term for the first time this year.
It's like I said, if you got a chance to

(01:52:25):
throw for a touchdown, go ahead and do it. W
g F X one or four point five Titans radar
network to three. It's been all Titans today against the Dolphins.
It looks like that Dolphins seven game winning streak is
about to come to an end. All right, speaking of ends,
we've got some big games coming to a conclusion. We
will bring you all the way to the finish line
right here on Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Steve Harvey,

(01:52:47):
Rich Harburger, this is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. All right,
the game that's coming down the wire right now. The
Rams and the Ravens. Ravens lead nineteen to fourteen. There's
a minute and a second to go. The Rams just
came up with a big pass play on fourth and
four and barely got the first down, so they have

(01:53:08):
a first and goal right now against the Ravens. Again.
The Rams are down five, so they need to get
the ball in the end zone. They are at the
seven yard line of the Ravens. You gotta believe they're
looking for touchdown Odell Beckham Jr. Zone and the Rams

(01:53:29):
take the lead late. WHOA how about Odell Beckham Jr.
That is his fifth touchdown in the last six games
for the Rams. So he hasn't caught a lot of passes,
but he just finding the end zone. Two of the
most important of the Rams seasons. He just caught the
third down, fourth down conversion, fourth and five, and he
just caught that one. Cooper Cup has been double teamed

(01:53:49):
all day long. He took the coverage to the opposite
side of the field and Odell came open late in
the flat and Stafford found him. Great job by Shawn
mcvain this Rams offense. By the way, guys, the Eagles
just grabbed an interception in the end zone against Washington.
It's still under review, but if this place stands, that
should I say sixteen victory for the Eagles. Big win

(01:54:12):
for the Eagles. They trailed most of that game against
the Washington football team. So if it stands, the Eagles
will move to nine and seven. All right. Obviously the
Rams are now up by one. They will go for
a two point conversion, try to make it a three
point game. Still a minute to go. So the Ravens
with the best kicker in all of football, Justin Tucker,
a man to set the record with a sixty six
yard field goal earlier this year. Uh, you don't need

(01:54:35):
a lot. Uh. He can make a field goal and
send this game in overtime or win the game to
spend depending on this two point conversion attempt right now
for the Rams. And the two point conversion attempt does
not work. They try a little hook and lateral. Uh.
And so the Rams now a one point lead. Uh
and with a minute to go and Justin Tucker on

(01:54:56):
the other side for the Ravens. Uh, this game is
far from over. Yeah, this game is on over. And
the Ravens, despite having Tyler Huntley obviously still threatened the
big play. Yeah. They tried the hooking lateral at Sony
Michelle coming around Odell Beckham Jr. With the pitch and
O'Dell fell down on the route. Uh. So he had

(01:55:17):
to get himself back up, catch it and then toss
it to Sony Michelle who was tackled. All right, the
Colts tied up the game against the Raiders, and it's
now Raiders football twenty all. We're inside a minute ago
and the Raiders are at midfield. Meanwhile, the Chiefs got
a field goal to tie their game against Cincinnati. Still
five minutes to go there, but let's keep our eye

(01:55:37):
on this Colts Raiders game right now twenty all, fifty
four seconds remaining. It is a third and ten for
the Raiders. They are at midfield. Right now, obviously trying
to get into field goal position to try to come
away with a victory. And Carlson, their field goal kicker,
has been very effective this year. So it's a third

(01:55:58):
and ten at the four yard line and ten yards
Derek Carr scrambling throws wide open receiver. It's Renfron, Renfro.
No one touched him. He will go into the ed
Zode touch down Raiders. That was incredible. So it was
just an angle riot for Renfro and he came open

(01:56:18):
in the first window, but Derek Carr was under pressure
in the pocket. He was able to arrange to his
right and then Derek Carr, I mean, does not get
enough credit for the creative passer he is. And he
was able to float it over the top of the
defense to Renfro in the scramble drill who caught it?
Went down? Nobody touched nobody touched him. Let's see was

(01:56:41):
there any contact? No goes down and he hops up
and he scores that. Raiders take the lead. All right,
we got that game. This would be an incredible victory
for the Raiders to keep their playoff hopes alive. All right,
The Ravens right now have the ball there down one
and they are in their own territory. The clock is running.

(01:57:03):
The Ravens only have one time out remaining forty six.
They got a second and six. It was a short
pass to Mark Andrews Tyler Huntley, the quarterback for the Ravens,
trying to look for some magic here. The ball is complete,
but the clock is running. I don't know what they're
sitting around for the time out. It's down to one.
They're standing around. The clock is just one third and one.

(01:57:26):
There's twenty six seconds. Good for the Ravens and all right,
so they're gonna have to regroup. Fourth and one right now,
twenty three seconds remaining. Uh and this is the problem
when you have a young quarterback without experience. They just
wasted thirty seconds for nine yards. Well and and also
shame on the offensive coordinators and the head coach John

(01:57:47):
Harbaugh for not calling a time out and maybe letting
them catch their breath. Now their season or bye. I
guess technically there the season would be in jeopardy, you
know question with a loss here could potentially come down
actually the Raiders potentially winning today that would put the
Raiders ahead of the Ravens The Ravens come into this
game on a four game losing streak. Led most of

(01:58:09):
this game. But uh, let's give a lot of credit here.
Matthew Stafford, on a bad day for him, came up
with some big pass plays to Odell Beckham Jr. Uh
to give the Rams the lead. So fourth and one. Uh,
they're in a little time out right now, so we're
gonna keep our eye there. We mentioned that the Chiefs
have tied this game against the Bengals. Four minutes to go.

(01:58:30):
Bengals have the ball right now. Joe Burrow four D
sixteen yards passing. I have no idea what the record
is for most yards passing in two consecutive games, but
I'm doing quick math. That's nine hundred and forty one
yards in his last two games. Uh. And he's far
from done today. Uh, So we'll keep our eye there.
I heard his fourth and one now for the Ravens.

(01:58:50):
Twenty three seconds remaining, trailing the Rams by one. Quick
passover and Mill will get the first down. Mark Andrews again,
man is now stopped? Why is it stopped? There should
be no stopping unless they use their time out. I'm
guessing the Ravens just called their finals and they did
all right, So that's it. Nineteen seconds to go. They

(01:59:11):
have a first down. So it's not about the first downs.
It's about getting enough yards to put Justin Tucker in
a position. And obviously, any deep pass over the middle,
it's not gonna help. The is gonna run out to
the sideline here no matter what. And if you're the Rams,
you gotta bracket the sidelines. You gotta you gotta play
the whole field. You can't get anything to down the touchdown.

(01:59:37):
It's short of a touchdown. But what's this back shoulder
throw from Joe? It was third and seven, third and
twenty seven, Joe Burrow did Jamaar Chase? Check out this play?
That was unbelievable. What a pass they got the first down.
He twirls out of bounds again working against Ward. Uh
this Chief's defense. They've singled up Ward against Jamaar Chase.

(02:00:00):
And Chase has had the biggest receiving day anybody. How
about this the week has had today or this year
two hundred and sixty six yards receiving. I mean, he's
nearing an NFL record all of a sudden. Uh, So
we're gonna keep our eye on that. So the Bengals
have the ball now inside the ten yard line, down
to the seven yard line, three O nine and counting.

(02:00:21):
All right, we will continue to watch that. Meanwhile, there's
a sack for the Rams on Tyler Huntley, and the
clock has got to run out, right, Why is it?
Why is the clock stopped? There should be no stopping
of the clock. That should be the end of the game,
is it not? How do they stop the clock? All right,

(02:00:42):
we will continue on. We'll get to more of these
exciting finishes. Keep it right here. This is Fox Sports
Red Zone Radio. Fox Sports Radio has the best sports
talk lineup in the nation. Catch all of our shows
at Fox Sports Radio dot com and within the I

(02:01:04):
shotgun set free to his rock, two to his left.
He brings Cooper Cup in motion, takes this snap, rolls right,
hitches throws caught front pylon d J touchdown, touchdown, touchdown
l A. Tyler Huntley gets one more shot at it,
throws short left complete Rashad Bateman. Now the latter game begins.

(02:01:24):
He gives it to Brown. He's knocked down. The balls
knocked out. The Rams secure it and they have a
five game winning streak to get the twelve and four
all right, so that's the RAMS Radio network. RAMS comfort
behind get a huge win. Big loss for the Ravens
old so that's their fifth straight loss, RAMS of one

(02:01:44):
five in a row. RAMS take a twenty to nineteen. Meanwhile,
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers came all the way back against
the Jets. That's what happens when you have Tom Brady, who,
by the way through for four hundred and ten yards.
Today Buccaneers beat the Jets to when height to twenty four.
So this Raiders game, we had the touchdown Hunter Renfro

(02:02:06):
on a play which he didn't seemingly be touched. We're
turning our head not realizing that they had waved off
the touchdown. But the Raiders still get the game winning
field goal from Daniel Carlson. So the Raiders and the
Colts are both nine and seven. Here's that winning kick
for the Raiders. This will be a thirty three ardor

(02:02:27):
this is for the win. Cole checks his kicker good hold, yes,
Perny check pot, perny. We two teams on a field
road by Carlson Cleveland and now the Colts here on
the road twenty three to twenty. All right, so Raider

(02:02:48):
Nation Radio, So let's think about this for a second.
Here we went into the day, Dolphins were the seven seed.
They're getting blown out by the Titans thirty four to three.
Twenty seconds law, so the Dolphins will fall. The next
team in line was the Ravens and they lost. The
next team in line the Chargers. They're about to kick
off their game against the Broncos. Next team in line

(02:03:09):
the Raiders, who get the win on the road against
the Colts today. Huge win for the Silver and Black.
Two or fifty five yards passing touchdown pass or Derek Carr.
But really it was just making some big place at
the end, the guide to the Raiders to this victory.
All right. Meanwhile, we are still tied fourth and goal

(02:03:31):
for the Bengals right now, it looked like they were
about to take the lead. It's thirty one all in
the game against the Chiefs. Clock is ticking right around
the one minute mark. So what do you do here
here the Bengals. You go for a touchdown. If you
get a field goal, you're gonna still have time left
on the clock. You gotta go for the touchdown because
Patrick Mahomes. You know, you know what that locker room

(02:03:52):
is thinking right now. If if you don't get in,
at least you die. You know, you fall on your sword.
You know you you die trying well. And also if
you do turn the ball over on downs, the Chiefs
have the ball yards away. And and that's also true.
The deal is this though, no matter what, even if
you have success kicking the field goal and it's and

(02:04:13):
it you know you'd assume it would go through, you're
giving the Chiefs the ball back with some part of
a minute. You don't do that. No, you gotta score
touchdowns against Kansas City, against Patrick Mahomes. And I mean
clearly that shows the point total right now is at
sixty two. These teams are scoring at will. It's not
like since these defense has really stopped Mahomes and the

(02:04:33):
Chiefs yet today. So you gotta go for it. Joe
Burrow thirty of thirty nine, four hundred and forty six yards,
four touchdowns. That's nine hundred and seventy one yards passing
in the last two weeks. I don't if it's not
an NFL record, it's on a very short list most
most passing yards in consecutive games. So here's here's where

(02:04:56):
we go. Fourth end goal at the one yard line
for the Bengals and they are looking to take the
late all tied at thirty one, fifty eight seconds on
the clock. Burrow takes the ball. He's gonna throw. He's looking,
everyone's covered, a little flipout past the Mixing. Who's gonna dive.
There's a flag on the plate. It's it's it's a seat.

(02:05:17):
He game close. No, no, no, Jamar Chase, Jamaar Chase
past interference. I mean, there's no question about it. Top
of the screen. He was soloed up against Ward again
and he was just thrown to the ground and coverage.
So this is gonna go against the Chiefs. There's no
doubt in my mind. All right, So we're waiting for
the call on the flag right now. The officials are gathering.

(02:05:39):
Uh what happened? Burrow looked obviously in chase his direction,
ended up flipping the ball to Mixing and try to
dive for the end zone. He came up short, and
it's holding against the Bengals, holding against the chief They
will replay it, all right, So fifty seconds to go
we will play fourth and goal at the one yard line,

(02:06:03):
offsetting penalties there. So they called the hold against the
defender on Jamaar Chase. They called the hold against the
Cincinnati Bengals up on the offensive. Look at that mixing, Well,
it doesn't matter seny penalties. A review of that would
have saying that he had that touchdown. By the way,
replay of fourth down here coming, all right, what we

(02:06:25):
saw was they tried last time. Obviously, when you have
Jamaar Chase on the field, who, by the way, has
already set a franchise record today two hundred sixty six
yards receiving receptions, three touchdowns. Whoever's got him on their
fantasy team is feeling pretty good in a playoff week.
All right, here we go, fourth and one for the Bengals.
Another shot. Burl is gonna look opposite field. He throws,

(02:06:47):
and it's flags are in the end zone all over
the place, all kinds of flags in the end zone,
and would just have to wait again. My question is
was it roughing the passer was in the end zone?
This is first sure against the Chiefs again. I think
Tyler Boyd this time was held up by the Chiefs defense.
And if that's the only penalty, and this is an

(02:07:07):
off setting. Zack Taylor looks pretty calm on the sideline
of the Bengals. It is an past interference against the
defense illegally, you say, hands right there, illegal push off.
So that would be a first and goal, uh for
the Bengals right now. Now, this is sort of tricky
if you're the Bengals. All right, So you got a
first and goal of the one. Obviously you want to
get a touch down here, but you want to run

(02:07:29):
a clock right now. Now, you could run it all
the way down to nothing zero and just kick the
field goal. I'm so glad you mentioned that. That is
straight up out of the playbook. Uh. In New England,
Bill Belichick, I remember we had a situation where we
had a fresh set of downs at the goal line
in Buffalo and we wanted them to burn some time out.
Joe Burrow got hit on the right knee and he

(02:07:50):
is limping off the field. He he grabbed his knee.
He is definitely limping on the sideline. Got hit on
the leftee on the previous play. Yeah, he's off the field.
This is Brandon Allen is now in a quarterback. Uh.
Let's check the time out situation for the Chiefs right now.

(02:08:11):
So so here's here's the deal. What you do is
you go for a fake QB sneak. You make the
Chiefs feel like you're trying to get it in there,
and then the clock winds and it forces the Chiefs
to take time's out time outs if they have them,
and looks like they're gonna kneel here. I don't know
if the Chiefs have any time If they do either,
I don't think they do. Know the clock is running,
so the ball they took a one yard loss on

(02:08:33):
taking a knee clock is running thirty three thirty two,
all right, so we'll keep an eye on that. Wow
that is. But right now, if you're the Bengals, you're
holding your breath because um Joe Burrow just an insane
day for him, limped off the field. The clock is
still ticking. Chiefs are out of time outs. The Bengals

(02:08:53):
have a time then watch the clock run out. All right,
they're letting the clock run down now to they're gonna
call it aim out. They're second goal. They're gonna kneel
it again right here. No, they're not even gonna kneel
let's spike it there, all right, So with two seconds
ago they spiked the ball, So we're gonna have a
short field goal attempt for the Bengals. Remember, a Bengal
win clinches the a f C North. So all that

(02:09:17):
talk that all four a f C North teams had
a chance to still win the division. That will end
with a field goal by the Bengals and the Bengals
will have won the You gotta make it. Evan McPherson
had a forty six yard or early in this game.
This is a chip shot. He's in the shadow of
the goal post here. But we've seen a lot of

(02:09:38):
extra points miss. It's a twenty yard attempt. Yeah, extra
points are from thirty three now, all right, here we
go twenty yard attemp right on the old extra point
attempt and the kick is good, and that is it.
The Bengals have won the a f C North. They
defeat the Kansas City Chiefs thirty four to thirty one.
What a game in this one. Joe Burrow again thirty

(02:09:59):
a thirty nine four in forty six yards, four touchdowns,
no picks, and Jamaar Chase Wow, I think he wrapped
up offensive rookie of the year eleven catches two hundred
sixty six yards and three touchdowns. Yeah, pretty pretty good
day for him. I would argue the Charges, by the way,
got in the end zone on their first drive, so

(02:10:21):
they now lead Denver six nothing in the first quarter
in a game that, now with all the tops turvy
things happening in the a f C, has huge, huge
playoff implications if it didn't already. All right, we'll get
update you on all the playoff implications of the nine
finals that are in the books right now. You mentioned
the Chargers early six nothing laid against the Broncos. Also,

(02:10:42):
the forty Niners and the Texans are underway. Forty Niners
have the ball first. Will continue update to you. Keep
it here. This is Fox Sports Red Zone Radio. Is
Fox Red Zone Radio, and we've got the plays that
you may a miss. This will be a twenty yard

(02:11:06):
attempt from the middle of the field to send the
Bengals into the postseason. Kevin Huber is ready, catches the snap,
puts it down. The kick is on its way. Yeah.
The Cincinnati Bengals clinch the a f C North and
prove they can beat anybody. As they rallied from fourteen

(02:11:28):
down on three separate occasions and beats the Kansas City
Chiefs thirty four to thirty one. Now back live to
the studios of Fox Sports Radio. This is Fox Red
Zone Radio. All right, So that was the Bengals radio network.

(02:11:52):
We're gonna update you on a very very very mixed
up day as far as the playoff situation on the
a f C side. But we got to talk about
that Rams comfort behind win against the Ravens. No, it's
time for the NFL Fox Focus and he was on

(02:12:14):
the broadcast or Fox Sports as the Rams came from
behind when their fifth in a row twenty and nineteen
over the Raid Ravens. Greg Olsen is joining us once again. Well,
going into this game, Greggy had two teams going in
opposite directions. The Rams had one four row, the Ravens
had lost four in a row. For much of this game,
it looked like the Ravens We're gonna pull this out. Ultimately,

(02:12:36):
How did the Rams escape with the victory? Yeah, I
think escape is really the right word. I mean, if
he when starting out the game, everything that Baltimore wanted
to do from you know, from a scheme standpoint, from
approach standpoint, they really executed. It came down to really
the turnover before the half. They found themselves under the
two minute Tyler Huntley is looking to make a play,

(02:12:57):
kind of forces the ball downfield scores tend nothing at
the very least, you punt, you go in at halftime up,
tend nothing and you're in great shape. Next thing you know,
they go down, the Rams go down. They score a
touchdown before half and it's thirteen seven, So that really
gave the Rams a little bit of life. Then they
came out in the second half and uh and just
did enough. You know, you got to give the Rams

(02:13:17):
defense a lot of credit, you know, as their offense
was really struggling and you know, had a couple of turnovers.
Next you know, the Rams defense really kept them in.
It did just enough. And uh, when Stafford needed a
drive there, when they needed a touchdown to win it
at the end of the fourth quarter, he put one
together and Odell Beckham came through with a big fourth
down and then a big touchdown on the very next play,
and they were just good enough that those are the

(02:13:38):
kind of games you need to win on the road.
And you never know if you find yourself in a
playoff game, that mirrors it. So it was a big
win for for the Rams and the Ravens gave it
everything they had. They were just a little short. Yeah,
it's it's kind of one of those one of those
games where it's a bad day to have a bad day,
but if you're gonna win an ugly game, it gives
you some confidence heading into the final one of the

(02:14:00):
season in the postseason. How about oh b j though right,
you know, he joins this team late in the season,
same with von Miller, both of them factoring in late
to get this victory. I don't know how much you
spoke to them before the game, but is it appearing
like they're starting to get comfortable in their roles on
this team? I think so. I saw Adell before the

(02:14:20):
game and his face just lit up when I asked him,
I said, how do you like it around here? He said,
I just love it. He's like, it's just it's such
a positive place. It's such a great place to work,
such a great place, you know, a great system to
play in playing with Stafford, playing you know, for for McVeigh,
just it's a great system for him. He loves everything
about it. Listen, we said it on the end of
the broadcast when they traded for Odell and I mean

(02:14:41):
when they signed O'Dell and they traded for von Miller.
You know, they brought them in to make impactful plays.
And they might not be having the volume of the
production that we're accustomed to seeing from those guys in
years past, but when the game was on the line,
they took Cooper cup away and Stafford was able to
go to Odell on the fourth down and then on
the touchdown on the ensuing play, and then the game
was really over after the Von Miller sack um, you know,

(02:15:02):
as as the Ravens were trying to get into field
goal range there at the end. So they signed those
guys to make those impactful plays. And like we said that,
the stars came out today for you know, for the Rams,
and they made their presents felt well. Matthew Stafford three turnovers,
a couple of interceptions and a fumble in this one. Look.
They brought him, Matthew Stafford to take him to next level. Well,

(02:15:25):
the guy he replaced took him all the way to
the Super Bowl a couple of years ago. So the
only place to get from that is to actually win
a Super Bowl. Have you seen enough of Matthew Stafford
over the course of the season. I know you've done
a couple of these games with the Rams to say, yeah,
he is definitely good enough to win a super Bowl
this season for the Rams. I think he is. You know,

(02:15:48):
I think you know, he's got to eliminate these turnovers.
That's the obvious, that's the big elephant in the room
these last few games. He's thrown a lot of picks
five in the last two games. Um, he's got eliminate
some of those decisions. And you know, we set it
on the broadcast a few times. Greatest strength is his
arm and being able to make every throw and its confidence.
And then at times, you know, he forces the ball
and you know it kind of gets him in trouble.

(02:16:08):
So he's got to just clean some of that up.
You know. Obviously he knows that he's a veteran. Guys
played for a long team a long time. But with
him at control and McVeigh and the guys he has
around him, they have as good a chance as anybody.
Their defense is star stud in and playing at a
high level. So yeah, I definitely think they're good enough,
uh to make a deep run at this thing and

(02:16:28):
at least contend in the NFC for sure. This isn't
uh I through line, but the game's in general. In
my opinion, that the Rams look the best is when
they really get the run game going in the first
half and and they really struggled doing that against the
Ravens today, and uh in past games where they've struggled,
like against the Titans forty niners earlier in the season,

(02:16:50):
they finish up with them next week. Uh. The Packers,
those three losses that were strung in a row, you
saw the issues with the run game really affect them
early in the game then amounted to loss. Now they
sneak away with the win today. But would you agree
that this offense, they need to find a way to
get this this ground game going as they head into
the postseason. Yeah, I think that's part of it. I

(02:17:13):
think so much of the run game, though, is is
really about being good on first and second down. For
for the for the Rams to be really good, they
got to stay out of must down pass the situations,
not because they can't do it, but more because that's
what their system is set up for. The play action,
the deep shots and a lot of that comes and
run down. So in order to be able to do
that throughout the course of the game, you need to
be good on first and second down. Now, whether that's

(02:17:35):
running the ball or whether that's throwing the ball really
is irrelevant. It's really can you win on first and
second down. That if you don't convert first sounds on
first and second down, you find yourself in third and short,
third and manageable where now you have the entire playbook.
So first and second down efficiency is what every team
in the league is chasing because teams do not want
to be in must pass situations. Other teams with the

(02:17:55):
ability to pass rush and the ability to dial up
third down pressures. It's just it's a hard and consistently
do at a high level. So yeah, I mean, if
they can do it, if they can win first and
second down by running it, great, If it's not running it,
then they got to find a way to get some
yards on first thing down with the past and and
stay out of those third and must throw situations. All right,
So if Arizona loses to the Cowboys later on today,

(02:18:16):
that will clinch the NFC West for the Los Angeles Rams. Great.
We always appreciate you jumping on with us and give
us an update after a big Rams victory on the

Antonio Brown was just cut by Bruce Arians in the
press conference post game. Thank you, of course he was
when you take out New Jersey and quit on the

(02:19:01):
team in the middle of the game. Yeah. I don't
think Tom Brady, Yeah, I don't. I don't think Tom
Brady is gonna lose any sleep over a bas tiring
on the field back to b A and he goes, hey, coach, listen,
I know he's caused some problems around here, but I
really think we should give him another shot. That's not happening. Alright,
So here's where we stand in the a f C.

(02:19:21):
Everything flipped today, I mean everything flipped today with the
Titans went over the Dolphins and the Chiefs lost to
the Bengals. The Titans are the one seed. Why because
they beat the Chief's head to head Titans last game
at the Texans. The Titans are a win on the

(02:19:43):
road against the Texans to be the one seed and
get the first round by and they may get Derrick
Henry back. Alright, so oh wait, wait, let's interrupt. Do
we have Bruce Arians? Sound right now? All right? So
when you got arians sound about this a b debacle?
I want to hear it. All right. So the Chiefs

(02:20:04):
now are the two seeds. The Bengals are the three
seed after the win against the Chiefs. The Bills and
Patriots are four or five. But get this, rich, the
Raiders with their win on the road against the Colts
jump all the way from ten to a six. And
because they're tied with the Colts and now beating the Colts,

(02:20:26):
they will win head to head there. So the Raiders
are suddenly finding themselves in a very good spot. They
haven't clinched, but a very good spot to make the playoffs.
So you have the Titans, the Chiefs, and the Bengals
have clinched their division titles. The Bills and Patriots are
both in the playoffs. They are tied right now. Bills

(02:20:47):
have the tie break two slots left in the postseason.
And it's the Raiders and Colts right now at nine
and seven. Obviously, the Chargers are very much in the mix.
They're eight and seven right now and have a seven
nothing lead against the Goes. All right, let's get to
this sound right now. If he didn't hear Antonio Brown
during the game today and what turned out to be

(02:21:09):
a comfort behind victory for the Buccaneers on the road
against the Jets, got benched through a fit, took off
his jersey, and then Bruce Arians his coach now former coach,
had this announcement after the game. Can you tell us
what happened to Antonio Brown? Did he quitt? I've never

(02:21:30):
seen a guy leave a field like that? And is
this the last strike for him? He is no longer
a buck? All right, that's the end of the story.
Let's talk about the guys that were not doing won
the game. There it is, He's no longer a Buck. Well, listen,
this is how you're supposed to handle business, because when
you are you are the you know, executive in charge
of the culture of a locker room. And you allow

(02:21:51):
this sort of behavior to happen and make excuses for it, um,
then you have a huge problem on your hands. I
don't care who the player was us, It doesn't matter
if it's Mike Evans, you know, somebody who's actually contributed
in a meaningful way this season to the Buck success.
If anybody behaves this way, this needs to be the response.
And Bruce handle Bruce arians handled it about as well

(02:22:13):
as you possibly can. We're not going to focus on it.
It's over, it's done with. He stays in New York.
We head home and celebrate our victory. So that is
not a surprise there. Now, as far as the NFC
picture is concerned, we have to wait on a lot
of games right now. Obviously this Cowboys Cardinals game is
a big one. But the Rams and Buccaneers both winning today. Now,

(02:22:36):
remember the Rams have the tie break over the Bucks
because the Rams beat the Buccaneers earlier. They're both a
half game behind the Packers. Packers, of course, are gonna
play against the Vikings without Kirk Cousins tonight. Uh, that
would seem to be the end of the Vikings the
Manion Bowl. We'll see how that goes down. Yeah, look,
I mean it's it's it's more I guess secure in

(02:22:58):
the NFC side with a lot of teams who clinched
a week ago. But it's still the wild West in
terms of the A s C. A lot of movements
still can happen, as you know, a lot of the
movement now as far as the NFC is concerned. Going
into the week, the Packers, Rans, Buccaneers, Cowboys, Cardinals had
all clinched a playoff slot. The Packers, Buccaneers, and Cowboys
have clinched their division titles. If the Cardinals lose to

(02:23:21):
the Cowboys, the Rams will have clinched the NFC West.
That'll be it for the division titles. Eagles huge win
on the road today against the Washington football team. They
are the sixth seed and the forty Niners of course
getting ready to play later. Uh, they are actually playing
right now. No score in their matchup. Uh, they are
hanging on to that seven slot. All right, Let's find

(02:23:41):
out what's trending right now. We'll turn it right back
to Mr David Gascon, who has all the latest on
what has been a wild and crazy day in the NFL.
I mean, I feel like you can't see it Hindsight
twenty with Antonio Brown. Yeah, we can't. Dude a cancer,
I mean, fake COVID car. He's self destructive. Yeah, I
mean he was like this in Pittsburgh, Yes, everywhere he's gone.

(02:24:04):
I mean yeah, like that in Oakland. If he couldn't
if he couldn't remember that, this team gave him an
opportunity to join the team last year, he got a
Super Bowl ring, unfortunately, and they brought him back this
year under and he wasn't vaccinated. They made all and
he lied about his vaccination situation. I mean, they have

(02:24:25):
made so many concessions for this guy to try to
keep his head above water, and this is how he
ends it. And then you're gonna have some people that
are rushed and say this is like a you need
to be aware of what's going on. It's more than
just what's going on on the field. I mean, have
any chances do you give a guy like this enough? Yeah,

(02:24:45):
that's that's about it, you know what I mean? After
football Yeah, it's uh. Look, the league will deal with
a lot um talent wins. You know we've talked about
this a ton on this show and many of our
other times together. It's just when you run out of
patients with organizations, and also you run low on talent.
I mean, which he's more. He's got more yesterday's logged

(02:25:07):
in the NFL than tomorrow's. I think I think that's
about a rap on the the Antonio Brown project. Is
he a Hall of famer? Very very possible Super Bowl winner?
The statistics he put up, it's very very possible. And
remember they're allowing problem children into the NFL. Seven Pro Bowls,
four times First Team All Pro, All Decade, Team of
the twenty Tents. Tarall Owens made it in. He had

(02:25:28):
a Hall of Fame career. Does this mess at the end,
It does jeopardize it, But I think he still gets in.
Tell you what it feels like, Jamaar chases on his
way to a Hall of Fame career. Man, he absolutely
torched the Chiefs today they win at thirty thirty one.
It's a second time. This sees the chase of gon
Over Tunity Yards receiving this time today was eleven grabs

(02:25:51):
for two sixties, six and three scores. So he's got
thirteen touchdowns on the season. Guys, he's the NFL Rookie
of the Year Offensive of the era over Mac Jones. Yes, yeah,
uh so they win a huge blow to Kansas City.
Titans win. They snapped Miami's seven game winning streak. Raiders
win in Indie. Patriots beat the Jags by forty Buccaneers.

(02:26:16):
They do win at New York of the Jets four
Brady thirty four fifty for four ten, three touchdowns, Gronks
seven receptions for a buck fifteen. Eagles win at d
c Rams barely win at Baltimore twenty to nineteen. They
somehow survived Cooper Cup in the ball game six receptions
ninety five yards and attached to him his owne l

(02:26:37):
A and the charges that is Lean Denver seven to nothing, forty.
Niners and Texans are score the same thing. In Jerry's world,
Cowboys and Cardinals, Panthers three nothing over the Saints. All right, David,
did you guys, uh before I send it back, did
you guys get a chance to watch the All Madden?
You did it? Rich? What the you of all about

(02:27:00):
the all mad and I saw it when it first
came out, and then I saw it after he passed away,
and just if you watch this all mad and special
they had basically they had John Madden sitting in a
chair with people talking about how much his life and
everything else, his sons, uh, you know, coaches, he went against,
players that played with him, even guys like Patrick Mahomes

(02:27:21):
who obviously you never and it just seemed didn't seem eerie.
David that just like less than a week after that,
and even though he was eighty five years of age,
they said it was unexpected. We didn't get cause, but
you know, he's just sitting there watching all these people
say all these kind things about him, about his coaching careers,
broadcast career and everything else. Would you feel if that

(02:27:43):
was you? Uh, he made it a celebration. So apparently
the report was that when the documentary debuted on Fox,
he brought in, you know, his family, the people closest
to him, and sat down together and watched it with them,
and it was almost like a thank you to them
for all the efforts they went through to help him

(02:28:03):
rise to the level of success he had. And then
shortly then after days later he passed away. It was
just it was almost like it's a wrap, yeah, I mean,
and and by the way, David at the end the
last he says something like it's all done, and I think,
you know, my friend Mike Matt and his son was
like the last to speak, and he just sort of

(02:28:25):
gave it like a like a stair like wow, like
that's a lot or something like that. And um, it's
weird for him to pass away just literally days later.
Just crazy. Yeah, it's weird that it did kind of
feel like, um, like friends and family and maddened himself
eulogizing it was you know, it was exactly that days

(02:28:46):
ahead of watching it now again afterwards, it was toly
that way, like we're just saying all these you know
and saying goodbye, and he's sitting there in the day
of sports. I mean, I knew we've done it a
lot with like Kobe being like Jordan's. Is there a
comp out there in the broadcasting world for Madden? No, No,

(02:29:07):
he was. First of all, he was so original when
he came on the scene. And I remember when he
first came on the scene. You guys are a little
young for that. The guy look at and he gave
all the credit deserve leader pat. Some are all pat.
Some are all realized that Madden was different. He had
actually teamed with a few people. He actually worked some
games of and Scully a couple of people. Then walk

(02:29:28):
into CBS. What's that Bob Costas? No, he didn't did
he did the mock game with Bob Costas first they
were but his very first first game when he got
to CBS, Gary Bender, he worked with a couple of guys. Um.
But some are all realized that this guy needed space

(02:29:51):
and you know, just let Madden be Madden because everyone
would see in around and he no, there was nothing
like him. Not They're never ever, ever, ever ever to
tell us straighter and all these things that he was
used and it had never been done before. So he
just said a completely different standard. And then on top

(02:30:13):
of that, his personality was so genuine. This is why
he resonated with everybody, young, old football fan, non football fan.
It didn't matter. And this is why, like I said,
there are three names, in my opinion, that are so
synonymous with the history of the NFL. Hallis, Lombardi, Madden.

(02:30:35):
I mean, those those three names to me stand out
when you say the name, you think nfl Um and
his love. And this is the other thing about man.
People said all this, He just loved football. He loved football.
And you know what, that sort of enthusiasm and care
for anything that's contagious absolutely doesn't matter if you're passionate,

(02:30:58):
like I always say this about going on museum tours
or you know, anybody's been on a field trip and
they've they had somebody who's walking them around some place
with ancient things hanging on the wall on their board
to tears. But if you if you go with the
right person, somebody who's actually passionate into it and into it,
an enthusiastic and and understands its place and relevancy in

(02:31:19):
their own life and in history. John Madden was that guy,
and he also was able to relay everything in such
a consumable and palatable way that I mean, as a kid,
I grew up listening to John Madden's commentary during these
games and it's what helped, you know, make me interested
in football in the first place. They're very few originals.

(02:31:40):
Howard Cosell was an original. There will never be another
Howard Cosell. There will never be another John Madden. I
mean they are just absolutely one unique cannot be duplicated. Uh.
And I know the NFL. I know they honored his
memory at all the NFL games today. He was honored
across the league. But you almost feel like they got
to go next level. Like it, There's gotta be a

(02:32:01):
John Madden Award. There's gotta be something somebody, somebody said
they should change the name of the All Pro Team
to the All Madden Team. I like it, Like I mean,
there's there's gotta be some lasting legacy to the name
of Madam, because Madden is the NFL. All right. Right now,
we got a third and goal for the Cardinals there
at the Dallas six yard line. Huge game for the Cardinals.

(02:32:23):
If they win, they still have a chance to win
the NFC West. Back to David Yes, Oh no, I
was just saying, like, guys, with that, with those awards,
they're getting passed out. What about League MVP? Now you go,
there's something along those lines. They'll figure it out because again,
his he was so admired for everything he brought to

(02:32:43):
this league. There's got to be some lasting tribute, all right.
Coming up on the other side, we'll get you update.
We got five games going on nine. In the books,
we told you about all the craziness and the standings
and built the a f C and the NFC. Five
games going on right now, we get to sept for those,
plus the set night gave the Money Night game coming
up next. Alright, this is Fox Sports Retzell on radio,

(02:33:06):
Steve Harber, Rich Ornberger. We have an amazing crew here.
Every Sunday starts with I was Sam running the board.
I'm just okay, could you could you get a few
more highlights in though? I mean, I was disappointed we
only had what at eight today? I got nothing to
play right now? Yeah, I was gonna say, can you

(02:33:26):
can you figure out a way to squeeze a few more?
We had a lot of scoring, very busy. I mean,
I I don't know if you can go back and
find out with with nine games and as much scoring
as we had today, it might have been a record
for highlights. Might have been, it might have been. It
was a lot pretty close it was. We got an
early scoring the Seahawks Detroit Lions gamer Shot Penny gets

(02:33:50):
him for a touchdown coming on late in the season. Yeah,
he's finally uh they finally dust hit him off from
her first round pick out of San Diego State. He's
played pretty well. David Gascon, of course, doing what he does,
and even though he fears that the proclamation that this
would be his decade, I differ with that opinion. I
still believe this will be the decade of Gascon. I've

(02:34:13):
had a brutal start to the last three years. Into
this decade, a little adversity builds character. I have you know,
Grease Burns, Torn Tendons, Pop Quad Sam. This whole thing sucks. Yeah,
we got our breakfast burritos. No, No, I got your breakfast.
Appreciate Well, I'm sure next week again, Iowa Sam is

(02:34:36):
treating all of us to a monster Sunday cap. Well,
you know what we had had a long time. We
have not had Denise's cookies. I know that. I know that. Well,
we have no kitchen right now. What the hell? Yeah,
our kitchen uh is under reconstruction. We had a water leak.
We've had no kitchen for a month. We have no oven.
We have whoa, whoa whoa, And she's going to use

(02:34:59):
excuse it's a little hard to make her cookies in
a micro doesn't have a toaster, oven, yeah, you start
a fire outside, all right, you put a pan on
town what might be him there? As soon as we
have our kitchen back. I promise that in certain cultures
they cook food underground. I haven't mentioned Ryan today. All right.

(02:35:19):
Ryan has been under the weather, as you know, for
several weeks. He feels like he's a hundred percent right now,
which is uh, that's good. Ryan. So you're Penny, marriage
and everything else. Who are very excited for you? Thank you?
Funny twenty two? The year is they going to be?
The year? We'll see by the way, our our old

(02:35:41):
friend Gavin is getting married? Is that right? That's correct? Yeah?
Next month? Yes, sit in the producer's seed here right
on this show. For many years, are being a bigger
and better thing? I was, Sam, Yes, what are you gonna?
What are you gonna? What are you gonna wear? I
don't know. I had very little information given to me

(02:36:02):
about the nuptials. Who needs to know that? I just
like a month and a half go both ties in
cuffs like those, just that we love Gavin and we win.
But the nuptials and everything else, al right, So as
we head into the rest of today, I said, before
the day we are hoping to get a clearer picture
as far as the playoffs are concerned. In some respects

(02:36:25):
we did. UH. Four a f C teams clinched playoffs
spots today. The Titans clinch their division title, Bengals clinsier
division title. Both the Bills and Patriots clinch playoff positions. UH.
Bills win next week they win the a f C East, UH,
they win, they lose. New England wins. New England wins
the a f C East. That's how it plays there.

(02:36:46):
And the NFC side, same thing. We got the Packers, Buccaneers,
Cowboys all clinching division titles. If the Cardinals lose to
the Cowboys today, the Rams clinch the West. Otherwise, the
Rams need to just win one more game to clinch
the West. So we get a little closer to the picture.
The Eagles one today, so they are the sixth seed
mentioned the forty Niners of the seventh seed. The only

(02:37:09):
other two teams still alive on the NFC side are
the Vikings and the Saints. And you gotta believe the
Vikings without Kirk Cousins today on the road against Green Bay,
that will probably wrap it up well. And you say that,
but Carolina right now, and the Saints they're all knighted
up at three, you know. I mean, look, it's been

(02:37:29):
a bad year for the Saints because they still don't
have a solution at quarterback after Drew Brees walks away.
They have a good defense, but I mean, is that
really going to do it? We'll find out. They got
to win this game against the Panthers. Alright. The A
f C side, Broncos, Browns, Ravens, Dolphins, Steelers, Chargers are
all still alive, all right, So there's still a lot

(02:37:50):
of teams and a lot of movement to be made
on the A f C side, But it's hard to
believe after it's all said and done. When Derrick Henry
went down with that injury, we pretty much wrote off
the Titans and now all they have to do next
week is when on the road against the Texans and
they get the first round by It's pretty impressive their season,
is that Mike Rabel Coach of the Year. I would argue, yeah,

(02:38:13):
if it's mean clinching the one seed victory, I mean,
to me, he's gotta be a runaway, right, He's gotta
be a runaway. I mean, think about it. If you
started the season, for example, and you said, well, at
some point in the middle of their year, they're gonna
lose Derek Henry. You would guess their record at best
would be maybe six seven wins at best, because you're

(02:38:34):
gonna lose some of the games with Derek and with
Henry in the beginning of the season, and of course
you're gonna lose the majority of your games after that.
Their offense is so heavy. We predicated on his his
running the football, but they had Deonta Foreman who was
ready to step into a role. Ryan Tannehill helped kept
keep the wheels on. That Titans defense is one of
the better ones in the NFC. Yeah, Mike Rabel should

(02:38:56):
be the runaway favor for Coach of the Year. I mean,
think about how we started this day. Right on the
A f C side, It was like, okay, can anybody
beat the Chiefs? I mean that's what you're talking. I
mean we know the Chiefs. Okay by anybody. Now, all
of a sudden, Titans, Chiefs, Bengals, Bills, Patriots, Uh, Colts
are still in the mix. Will mean, all of a sudden,
the Chiefs look like from runaway favor two back in

(02:39:18):
the pack. Yeah, I will give you this one though,
Zach Taylor, especially with that win today, should get some
nods from nods. And again, if are the Bengals, we
asked this before the day, Are the Bengals a serious
contender in the a f C? These teams are any
one of these a f C teams can compete in

(02:39:40):
the Super Bowl. I mean it's a toss up anybody,
anybody I think, I think honestly in the NFC, it
looks especially if Derrick Henry returns to the Titans. Yeah. Well,
and and he's expected. By the way, the report out
is that he has been training solo in their indoor facility.
He didn't even show up to the game today. Adn't think.
I think he was still getting some rehab. He's not

(02:40:02):
limping anymore. So it's a huge, huge sign in the
right direction for the Tennesseean. Here's the thing, though, Rich
he's excited as I am really getting excited about the
upcoming NFL playoffs. This whole COVID thing. I mean, they've
got to figure something out here. I mean, you've got
to figure this out. We can have Can you imagine

(02:40:23):
We've had teams that have had as many as twenty
players out in a single week. What happens if right
before a playoff game, thirty players forfeit? Forfeit, they're going
to change the rules again before the postseason. Then they
almost they got to what's that. I'm just saying, the
rules have to forfeit. There's no way, there's no They're

(02:40:47):
to change the rules again. Got to figure this out,
all right, Just keep it here. This is Fox Sports
