Scrooge is visited by the second of the three spirits…and is taken to the home of Bob Cratchit, his clerk.
Scrooge is back in the past, reliving his days as an apprentice to the joyous Mr Fezziwig.
Scrooge is visited by the Spirit of Christmas Past. He is shown scenes from his childhood and remembers how close he was to his sister.
Scrooge returns home to his dingy lodgings at the end of the day…to be visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley.
The first episode of this nine-part adaptation of A Christmas Carol. It is Christmas Eve and Ebenezer Scrooge is in his counting house.
A repentant Scrooge wakes on Christmas morning…and is determined to make amends just as quickly as he can.
The series reaches its climax, with Scrooge taken once again to the Cratchit's house, where Tiny Tim has recently died for lack of adequate care.
Scrooge is visited by the last of the three spirits. He is shown scenes from a possible future…and sees how little his passing would be mourned.
Scrooge witnesses a number of scenes of Christmas present…and has to acknowledge that the spirit of Christmas is everywhere alive, despite poverty and ignorance.
