Ridge quest Ridge Crest earthquake, isn'tit. I think it is. Didn't
happen on the fourth and I'm sureit did because I was in the Fourth
of July parade and my wife calledme and I didn't get her message.

And then I called her afterwards andshe said, you okay. I said,
yeah. I mean, you know, most of the people there,
you know, just want an autographor you know, want to take a
picture. And nobody got too crazywith me. Yeah, nobody tried to
kill me. It was cool.Not this time. I said, why,
what happened? She goes, there'sa major earthquake, And I said
where, and she said everywhere,Southern California, everywhere. I said,

Nobody on that route felt it.Nobody in Huntington Beach, everybody was outside,
nobody felt it. And then Igot home and there was a major
aftershock, and I remember there wasmade after shot. Because I've always told
my daughter since she was born,the one thing I tried to instill in

(01:07):
her is to never panic. Neverpanic. We can always get through everything,
anything that's thrown our way. Don'tpanic. It never helps the situation.
Don't panic. So when she wasa kid, and I don't know,
she was trying out for softball orwhatever, and she was nervous that,
you know, not making the positionshe wanted whatever, I said,
don't panic, it's not going tohelp you. And I told her that

for I don't know, fourteen fifteenyears. Don't panic. Don't panic.
Then that earthquake happens and I goout to the garage and our car is
shaking in the garage, going backand forth, and it looks like a
toy car. It's literally like comingoff the ground and moving around and shaking.

(01:51):
And I couldn't believe it. SoI run upstairs. My daughter just
got out of the shower. Shehad a robe on, and I break
into a room and I go,so you gotta go put on whatever you
we gotta go downstairs. And shelooks at me and she says, I'll
throw something one, I'll meet youdownstairs, just like that, exactly like

that. So great, I'll throwSOMETHINGE I'll meet you downstairs. And I
thought, touchdown, touchdown, evenwhen I panicked. She was as calm
as the center seed of a cucumber. Man. That was great. That
was great. But you remember thatquake angel or Crozier, Remember that that
major one we had. Absolutely.Yeah, I was outside when it happened,

So that was kind of weird becauseI think that's the first time I'd
ever been outside during an earthquake.Yeah, it is weird to be outside
because you see everything move. Yeah, and the ground below you feels different
than if you were inside of ahouse, on top of a foundation or
even upstairs. I mean you feeleverything moving around. You see everything shaking.

The trees. If you see there'sany wires, you know, like
electrical lines or anything, you seethat moving around. You see birds like
popping up out of the trees freakingout. So it's it's cool. Yeah.
I was outside in Sealed Beach duringan earthquake, and literally the palm
trees would sway back, and theyall swayed the same direction. I noticed,
they all went left, they allwent right, They all went the

exact same direction like it was acartoon. And man, that was wild
to see these big palm trees goback and forth. But it was exactly
five years ago today, five yearsago tonight was the north Ridge and not
the the Bridge Crest, Redge Crest, redg Crist Redge Crest, red Crest,

Bridgecrest got a mighty like. I'mlike the Ala Carte Guy Ridgecrest earthquake
was five years ago today today.And that was a big deal. It
was huge way out the desert fiveyears ago. God time flies. That
was pre COVID. That was ourlast summer before COVID wiped this out.

(04:06):
It was July of twenty nineteen.That was a big deal, big,
huge deal. All right, weare here live on July fourth. We
all decided to come in and behere for whatever reason. Maybe we couldn't
get out of work. Maybe oneto work, who knows. But we
are all here except for Bellio andshe's somewhere in Irvine doing whatever she does

in Irvine. Good for her.Yeah, she deserves a break, deserves
a break every once in a while. All right, bad vibes coming out
of Long Beach. I saw thislast night. My heart goes out to
the people. It happened to theboat accident where the boat ends up on
the rocks there, and it wasa really bad scene. Fire Captain with
the Long Beach Fire Department tells meone man had died during the crash.

She's believed to be in his fortiesor fifties, and I want to show
you the aftermath. I did callthe fire department and asked if the boat
had been toad just yet. Theysaid that it's supposed to happen soon.
We understand. This is where ithappened. You could see part of the
boat just above water. And accordingto a fire Captain Jacob Heflin, the
pleasure boat carrying eleven people crashed intothe Alamitos Bait Jetty here in Long Beach

just before nine point thirty last night. Ten people were rushed to a hospital,
where three were described to be incritical condition. It's not clear how
they're doing right now. Captain Heflinsays speed appears to be a contributing factor
to the crash. No word onif drugs or alcohol were involved. We
are working to find out who theman who died was and if he's from

the area or was visiting. Ah, that's horrible out there on a pleasure
craft. You think, you know, the whole world's cool, everything's great,
and then tragedy strikes and that wasa That was a big, horrible,
horrible scene where one guy died inhis forties, a lot of other
people injured because when the rocks,you know, when your boat washes up
on the rocks there, you can'tget out and swim on the shore.

(06:02):
These waves are battering you as you'retrying to get out, and maybe you
were buzzed, you know, maybeyou're drinking or you know, blowing some
weed. I don't know what you'redoing out there, but it's it's difficult
and the ocean's cold, so it'sdifficult to go from party mode where everyone's
having a good time to jump inthe water and fight for your life.
You got to switch that on realquick, and it's very difficult to do.

So we'll have more information on thatcrash, and I think they've already
towed the boat as well. Butit was a bad, bad scene out
there at the Los Alametas Bay.It's gotten by show. I'm sorry,
go ahead, I'm going to saythat I think the boat is still there.
Mike just flew over it and ohman ah, that's horrible. That
is just terrible. Well, Mike, if you flow, I believe you,

does that look like a boat thatcould easily fit eleven people or does
that seem like a lot for thatboat? That seems like a lot for
that Yeah, I mean it's gotto be a good one. A twenty
five footer maybe, but okay,eleven's kind of live. That's probably pushing
it. But yeah, that theboat was still there is a few minutes
back and the guy, you know, apparently just ran right into the jetty

you know, you know, andalso I know this, I know that
you you know a lot about boats. There Also there might be some legal
trouble too there if they find outthat there weren't eleven life jackets on that
boat, somebody's going to pay forthat too. Yeah, if they're over
women on that Yeah, we don'thave enough life preservers those things. And
and of course if the guy wasdrinking, you know, oh that's a

big deal too. Yeah they werespeculating that. I mean it's a pretty
big mistake to make. Yeah,I mean, you know, when I
was a kid and you know,a friend at a boat or an uncle
or whatever, everybody was drinking everybodyAnd now you can't do that. You
can't do that. Yeah, youhave to have one that's sober. Yeah,
one guy that's sober. I setAngel a few shots of the tip

Arcadia for Independence Day. The PatrioticFestival begins at five pm, so about
fifty minutes ago. Huntington Drive andDiamond Street. Artesia there's an Artesia event
that start at three and then it'llgo on all night. Fireworks at nine
o'clock. Baldwin Park, Baldwin Park. I think that festival is over.

I think that was yesterday. CatalinaIsland maybe went out to Catalina Island between
one and ten pm. There's gonnabe a big deal there on Catalina Island
with the fireworks show on Catalina Islandbeginning approximately nine pm, nine o'clock.
That's actually got to be kind offrom this coast to look all the way

across to Catalina. Oh yeah,right, that's cool. Or to be
on a boat out there and watchit, Oh yeah, that'd be great.
We got a word from Angel Martinezthat boat was plenty big enough for
eleven people. That's a forty eightfoot both they crashed thee Yeah, that's
huge. And then in Claremont theyhave a thing called looking for the Biggest

stud in Claremont, and everybody triesto find Krozer's house just before eight o'clock,
ladies, he'll be rolling and you'llfind the red, white and blue
mesh tank top on today with thewhite cut off. Yeah, and you'll
find that top and then a bottomlesscrozier inside that hot tub around eight o'clock

tonight, free balling it in thattub. Man on a night and Claremont.
A lot of boom going on inClaremont tonight, Crecenta Valley. It
began at four pm. Show atfireworks show at nine pm tonight. Culver
City is gonna wait till July fifth, so you're gonna have opportunity tomorrow to

see more fireworks. You'd like todo that live music six to nine thirty
pm tomorrow, Dodgers Stadium tonight,fireworks after the Diamondback show, which is
really cool because everybody stays for thefireworks. Nobody leaves early, so you're
gonna have a heck of a timegetting out of there. But it's gonna

be fun and you can be withthe kids, and it'll be an experience,
so you'll enjoy that. You'll alwaysremember that. July fourth, Dodgers
Diamondbacks game starts at six ten pm, so we're about the seventeen minutes away
from the start of the game.And then on July fifth, Tomorrow night,
the Dodgers go head ahead with themMilwaukee Brewers. The Boys will be

buzzing. The Boys will be buzzingaround that home plate and the game starts
at seven to ten, followed bya drone light show tomorrow night. Dwarte

too. These are all from theLa Times. Here's one that is going
on for July fourth. It's ElSegundo, the El Segundo Park and Recreation
there. That'll be at three pmto nine pm tonight, so you can
buzz on down to El Segundo andenjoy fireworks down there. Let's see what

else is going on here Guardina,a fun filled fireworks bash in Guardina.
That'll be at ten o'clock tonight fromfive to ten at Rowley Park, row
L e Y and then downtown GloriaMolina Grand Park at four pm. It
started at four pm tonight and fireworks. I don't know if they're doing fireworks

or a drone show. Then HawaiianGardens. That show was last night Hollywood
Bowl, Hollywood Bowl's annual fireworks spectacular. It will happen July second, third,
and fourth. The second and thirdare over, but the fourth is

Is going to be there. Showstarts up at seven point thirty and

then there'll be fireworks after and that'sa that's a big, huge deal for
people to live around the Hollywood Bowl. They usually have people over and watch
the Hollywood Bowl from their you know, their house or condo whatever they got
going up there. So those arejust some of the fireworks tonight. Lancaster
has got a pretty cool deal goingon at Lancaster at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds

and invent Center and start at fivepm and fireworks display will be at nine
point fifteen pm. Entry is free, but grandstand seating we'll set you back
five dollars five dollars to sit inthe grandstands, right. And then there's
a couple other local ones Marina delRay that will be at nine pm tonight

fireworks display in Marina del Rey,And there are some other ones that are
a little smaller, but nonetheless,a lot of places to go tonight.
If you go to the La Times, they have all of them listed.
Pacific Palisades, Pacific Palisades, anall day celebration at Pacific Palisades and it'll

go on all day and all evening. And then they'll be a DJ there,
DJ Lee Dyson, and we'll bethere to set the tone at nine
pm. Fireworks display at Palisades CharterHigh School at nine pm. Palmdale,
another one out in Palmdale and concertin Palmdale at eight pm to celebrate the

fourth of July. Palmdale will featurelive music at the Palmdale Amphitheater from Queen
