Speaker 2 (00:31):
Now even Western medicine is recognizing adine deficiency as a
health crisis. Welcome to Accelerated Health with Sarah Bianta, where
I cut through the noise and fast track your journey
to better health. I'm your host, CEO and founder of
Accelerated Health Products and certified by the National Association of
Nutritional Professionals, and I'm here to share the latest on supplements, wellness,
(00:55):
sax natural health solutions that actually work, from boosting energy
to detoxing to balancing hormones and everything in between. And guess,
with the one molecule that helps with all of the
things I just mentioned, iodine, I will help you reach
your optimal health. Wait idine didn't we fix that years
ago with iydised salt? Well, turns out not so much.
(01:19):
A Brown University pediatric endocrinologist, doctor Monica Serrano Gonzalez has
been seeing more kids and teens, so we're not even
just talking about adults. We're talking about our kids. Yes,
in twenty twenty five, and her team is sounding the
alarm and playing English. We're drifting away from the few
(01:40):
reliable adine sources we have, and it's showing up in
our clinics. Chronic adine deficiency can have serious long term
health consequences, including development delays, goiter's, increased risk of cancers,
hormonal issues, mental issues, depression, anxiety, brain fog, hair falling out, hypothyroidism,
(02:06):
you name it. The list is so long. Recent findings
from national nutrition examination surveys such as the National Health
and Nutrition Examination Survey the ENHANES shows a resurgen of
adine deficiency in the population, highlighting the importance of monitoring
iodine status and maintaining that adequate intake. So a real
(02:31):
world example, doctor Gonzalez saw a thirteen year old show
up with a rapidly growing loiter in her neck. Autoimmune
labs were normal or negative, diet super restricted, no eggs, dairy, seafood,
family cooks with non iodized salt urine. Test confirmed iodine deficiency,
indicating that the child's dietary intake provided insufficient amounts of
(02:55):
iodine and What's even more is even if this child
was eating those foods that typically had iodine in them,
our soils are so depleted of all minerals, magnesium and
including iodine, so it's very difficult to get our iodine
from diet anymore. And idine deficiency can cause the goiter's hypothyroidism,
(03:18):
neurodevelopmental deficits, physical stature issues. You want your kids to
be growing right upwards, neurological abnormalities, and this is especially
in children. So why iodine matters, It's that raw material
your body uses to make thyroid hormone. Our thyroid is
(03:40):
our master endocrine gland. It controls everything. Our adrenals, our cortisol,
our brain are sex hormones are gonatyl axis right, the
hPG axis hypothyroid, I'm sorry, hypothalamus pituitary gonatyl axis is
controlled by the eighth PT access and the HPA axis
(04:03):
thyroid and adrenal. They're all in sync. When your thyroid's out,
everything else is out. The wheels come off. Your thyroid
sets your metabolism, your energy, your body temperature, your brain development.
That's why one of the best ways to know if
you're hypothyroid, take your body temperature. Take it in the morning,
(04:23):
take it in the afternoon. See if it bumps up
when you eat. It should And most of us are
getting used to lower body temperatures saying that that's normal. Well,
that new normal is not normal. We used to have
temperatures that were higher than we do now. So when
iodine is too low for too long, the thyroid swells
(04:43):
and gets a goiter to compensate. An underactive thyroid can
result from prolonged iodine deficiency, leading to fatigue, waking, all
those things. Thyroid stimulating hormone will increase if iodine is
low because body is saying I need more, so it's
trying to stimulate more. Thyroid hormone TSH is a thyroid
(05:07):
stimulating hormone. It's actually a pituitary hormone, not a thyroid hormone.
So in kids, chronic low thyroid can slow growth, impair
cognitive function. Are we seeing more ADHD? Are we seeing
more depression and anxiety? Brain fog? And with long term deficiencies,
(05:27):
the whole system can crash. So what does iodine do?
Number one, we touched on it. Thyroid and metabolism. It's
the backbone of the T two three, and four. Those
are your thyroid hormones. They stand for two, three and
four molecules of iodine. These hormones set that metabolic pace
your heart rate, so it is affecting your cardiovascular health
(05:50):
and temperature, and it regulates your glucose and fat metabolism.
Oh my gosh, I'm gaining weight out of nowhere. You
gotta look at your thyroid when idide is a low. Oh,
the thyroid struggles, and maybe you're cold all the time.
Everyone else isn't. Weight creeps up. You got the fake fatigue,
the brain fog, your hands and feet are cold. It
helps with apoptosis. Apoptosis is the turnover of the cells.
(06:16):
And when does that happen the most during pregnancy and
the teenage years going through puberty. That's when you need
more iodine than ever, so that apoptosis is supported by iodine.
Idine is needed for mitochondrial health and energy. So inside
your cells, you've got the mitochine chondria. They are the
(06:36):
powerhouses of your cells, and within them is the ATP.
You can have as little as two ATP per mitochondria
and as much as thirty six. Well, guess what influences
that the most iodine idine deficiency is the number one
cause of mitochondrial failure. Mitochondrial failure you die, and everyone
(06:59):
is looking to nad and peptides and stem cells to
increase mitochondrial health and antiaging. Let's first address the basics,
the fundamentals. Iodine Idine helps keep the mitochondria efficient. That
is your focus, your mood, your temperature, your stamina. It's
not coming from your coffee or your monster drink. It
(07:21):
is the cell armor. So idine can form protective iodolipids
in that cell membrane, which is the brain of the cell.
That iodolipid value is in that cell membrane iodine and fat,
so it's made up of healthy fats like phosphatidyl coaling
and idine, and that allows the nutrients you're taking in
(07:43):
to get in and the toxins to get out. It
helps stabili stabilize those membranes so the things can go
in and out safely. So think about heavy metals, the halides,
the microplastics that we hear about, all the toxins in
our water, liphasate the GMOs. Well, this is why we
(08:03):
are so sick and chronic disease is just going up.
Idine deficiency is going up and toxins are going up.
Not a good combination. So idine is also needed for
protein and tissue repair, from organ development to muscle recovery.
You know, as women after the age of forty, we're
trying so hard to gain that muscle or at least
(08:25):
maintain it. We need iodine. It's not just a protein
thing or amino acids, those are super important, but they
need that idine to support the protein synthesis. The protein
you eat actually becomes structure and function, so that is
needed and dependent on iodine. It is needed for your
immune system so anti it's anti viral, antibacterial, antiparasitic, anti
(08:51):
anti anti, it is anti everything. So instead of taking
an antabiotic that only hits the bacteria, you're hitting all
of those add microbes without disrupting your gut. It helps
with inflammation. It is extremely anti inflammatory, which is a
driver behind many of the modern issues and health issues.
(09:12):
It's amazing for detox support. All of my detox cleanses
include iodine for a reason, so broaming chlorine, fluorine, these
are halides. They compete with iodine. If you're eidine deficient,
those receptor sites made for eydine are just going to
get filled with the bromide and all these other toxins
(09:33):
the fluoride in the water. So fluoride in the water's
gone up, Idine's gone down, disease has gone up. And
we hear about, oh, well you shouldn't take iodine if
you have hashimotos. Hmm Iidine has gone down, hashimotos has
gone up. That doesn't make sense. So this is called
halogen displacement. When you go back to chemistry, if the
(09:56):
idine isn't there, then these other toxins are and to
fill those receptor sites. And most people with breast cancer
are idine deficient and their breast tissue can be full
of this bromide or other toxins. It helps with hormones,
especially for women. It helps balance out the progesterone and estrogen.
(10:17):
It helps the liver process the used estrogens the bad ones.
Getting rid of the bad estrogens. Helps with fibroids, PMS symptoms,
tender breasts, heavy cycles. Believe me, I've seen it in
my own family. You can even use it topically with
castor oil over fibroids or cysts or pms to lower inflammation.
(10:40):
Helps with the brain, helps with mood. The number one
cause of depression iodine deficiency. That's it's no coincidence, guys.
So that low aydine, low thyroid signal equals a sluggish
brain and circulation to the brain. If your brain doesn't
have circulation, how is it going to think? How's it
going to feel good? So it's really important for memory, mood, clarity,
(11:04):
and your breast health. Reproductive health very important. This is
why it's so important for pregnant women to be on iodine.
It helps with the fetal brain development. And this is
coming this report is coming from a pediatric endocrinologist, so
she's focused on the health of our children. It helps
with the heart and circulation. Thyroid hormones influence heart rate,
(11:28):
vascular tone, cholesterol. Low thyroid typically means high cholesterol. You
might go, well, it doesn't make sense. My cholesterol levels
have increased. I haven't changed anything. Look at your thyroid.
It helps with hydration and antioxidant support. Idine can actually
hydrate your body without drinking water. It's amazing. That's a
(11:52):
whole nother chemistry class. So why people ask why do
I feel better when I get idine in minerals while
your thyroid brings in idine into the cells. Through a
sodium iodide simporter. This is why it needs sodium as well.
That's why pairing it with a quality mineral electrolyte formula
(12:12):
unrefined salt is so important. People might get those hirks
reactions or detox symptoms when they just start an iodine
if they're not following it up with that sodium and
with that full spectrum of minerals, because we need to
plump up the blood with that sodium and all the
minerals to flush those toxins out. And then others ask, well,
(12:36):
why can't I just rely on that idis salt while
most restaurants and processed foods which you're eating use non
ietized salt, and it's usually stripped of all of the
other good minerals and just this sodium. It tastes horrible
and filled with microplastics, so you can't. So why is
iodine deficiency more common than ever? We ditch the ieidiye
(12:59):
salt it longer there. The processed foods don't help, they're
using the stripped sodium. Like I mentioned, organic dairy has
usually has less adine, and that used to be a
good source restrictive diets. Like people who are vegan, they
or kids with selective eating habits, or they're just eating
(13:21):
the process foods. They're not getting in the iodine. And
we hear salt is bad, right, Well, salt's bad, then
most people are not eating it, and most people are
not getting the iodine from the soils because they're depleted. So,
like I said, hypothyroidism and all of these diseases related
(13:42):
to edine deficiency have gone up and idine supplies have
gone down. So you tell me should we be supplementing
with iodine? It seems pretty simple. So in twenty twenty five,
our bodies are swimming in more idine blockers, hormone disruptors,
and metabolic stressors, mean that we need even more than
we did before. We've got the halides, the fluoride, the bromine,
(14:06):
the chlorine. The fluorid's in our water. Hopefully some states
are getting it out. But we also have like the
bromine that is in the fire retardants. I'm in southern California,
La fires blowing the bromide fly of fire retardants into
my air. I have to breathe it. So they show
up in our foods too, our soft drinks, our pools,
(14:29):
hot tabs, and then we get less idine into our body,
which lowers our metabolism. Then you've got the endocrine disruptors,
the phllates, the pesticides, industrial chemicals, they cause estrogendominance. They
slow down the thyroid, taxes, the mitochondria, having metals, the pfas.
(14:51):
The radiation we're all on our phones all day or
our computers, we're not going to escape it. That radiation
really talks it our body, and we need iodine to
detox our body from radiation. Chronic stress. When you are stressed,
euroidrenals use more iodine in salt than when you're not.
(15:11):
To tell me, are you stressed? Do you need a
little cortisol reset? So that also causes the T four,
the inactive thyroid hormone which stands for tear sene, and
form molecules of idine to convert into reverse T three,
which puts the brake on the metabolism, causes fat gain,
(15:33):
hair loss, all the things. Instead of the free T three,
which is our metabolism or fat burning our energy. It
slows bileflow, depletes the minerals. That's why we get constipated digestions.
Off all that, and then even the spike protein from
the pandemic. Well, we're seeing that idine can help alleviate
(15:54):
those issues. Very important. So there are so many things,
the end of toxins, the dirty livers. This idine is
very important for cleansing the liver. It's part of my
whole protocol when I ask people to take care of
their fatty liver disease, right, we want to put them
through a liver flesh cleanse. But it's always important to
(16:17):
add in the iodine as well. So we need to
supplement with iodine. We can't get it from our salt
or our diets anymore. And this is why I shout
from the rooftops about acceleradine iodine paired with accelerated ancient salt.
So why why do we want to have acceleratine iodine
(16:40):
versus any other iodine. Well, it is a singlet form
of iodine, meaning that it is in this form that
every cell in the body does not have to break
it apart. It just seamlessly goes in and goes to
where it's needed to go. Your body doesn't need all
the energy to break it apart from another molecule like
(17:02):
in loogoles or a diatomic aidine supplement and it is
designed to readily be used by the cells where it
is carried. It's paired with a two hundred proof non
GMO organic alcohol that reaches and achieves the highest amount
(17:22):
of bioavailability. There is no toxins, no weirdness, We know
exactly how much we're getting, and it is scalar enhanced
like all accelerated ancient or accelerated health products that scalar
enhancement helps with the stability, the consistency, and the efficacy.
(17:43):
Then you want to pair it with the accelerated ancient
salt that is full of sixty two minerals. It is
from the Himalayans andes in Utah deep in pre industrial beds,
and you're not going to get the modern pollutants like
that are in even the Himalayan salt out there on
the market, or even the sea salts that could be
full of toxins from the sea, and it's unrefined, unbleached.
(18:07):
So what you want to do is, after you take
the accelerating iodine, wait fifteen minutes, put a little of
the salt on your tongue, drink it in your water,
put it liberally on your food and that's going to
help plump up your blood to get the toxins out,
hydrate the cells, and really make you feel good. I
want to hear from you. Have you tried this? How's
(18:30):
your energy? Do you feel your thyroid turn on? Do
you feel your body temperature heat up? It's amazing. This
is especially important for pregnant women, for children, low iodine eaters, vegans,
dairy free, seafood free, all of that, anyone with food galleries. Athletes,
Oh my gosh, it will pump up your workout and
(18:52):
increase your sweat. Take it before you get in the
sana and you're going to feel more internal detox and sweat.
It's amazing. So I hope this was helpful. It's not
just us in the alternative space that are looking to
adine deficiencies. It's Western medicine. It's now pediatric endocrinologists in
twenty twenty five that are recognizing that eydine deficiency is
(19:15):
a real health crisis. I hope you got some tools
