don't care how you lose weight, whether it's restriction o zempic.
You lose weight, that weight could be bone, water, muscle, fat.
What are you losing the whole goal is to lose fat.
You don't want to lose your muscle. You don't want
to lose your bone. Right, these weight loss medications have

gained global attention. They're factually reducing your appetite and your
body weight. But there's new research from the University of
Alberta revealing a critical downside. If you are talking about
significant muscle loss, including cardiac muscle, that's your heart. We
don't want to lose our heart. It's like saying, oh, well,

let's lose weight, let's chop off a leg. That's not
the goal here. While these drugs lead to fast weight reduction,
we just want to lose it in all the right places,
and we don't want to lose that lean muscle tissue.
You know, I've switched from the regular bathroom scale, which
I think is worthless because it's literally telling you gravity

his research team from the University of Alberta's Faculty of
Medicine and Dentistry found that nearly forty percent of total

So sixty percent is fat loss, forty percent is muscle.
And even more concerning, they observed reductions in heart muscle
mass that appeared unrelated to fat loss. Although a smaller

It's the body's metabolic engine. So if you're losing muscle,
massy right, let's think of biggest loser here for losing
muscle mass and fat. That muscle burns more calories. So
now down the road, your body says, hey, she's only

burn a thousand. And by the way, I'm going to
slow the metabalism even more because she's lost muscle and

less muscle, so I have less engine to burn the fuel, right,

It helps with your hormones. So as far as your
immune system goes, muscle mass is directly correlated to longevity.
So what we want to be skinny, fat and die early?

Is that the goal here? No, the goal is to
live energetically of life and live long. You need muscle
for that, so that is where that muscle is so important.
Plus you look better with muscle. Right. So to address
