In this episode of Accelerated Health with Sara Banta, I talk about how to boost your thyroid levels naturally — without relying on harsh medications or quick fixes.

It feels like everyone these days is tired, struggling to lose weight, battling brain fog, or feeling “off.” What many don’t realize is that these symptoms often trace back to one tiny but powerful gland — the thyroid.

Once considered rare, hypothyroidism has become a modern epidemic, especially among women. Millions are living with thyroid imbalances without even knowing it — told their labs are “normal,” prescribed medications, or dismissed with the idea that “it’s just aging.” But the truth is, thyroid health is being challenged like never before.

Your thyroid is the master regulator of your metabolism, energy, and mood — and when you learn how to support it naturally, you can finally feel like yourself again.

Tune in now to discover how to restore your thyroid health and boost your vitality — naturally.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
It feels like everyone these days they're talking about I'm tired,
I'm fatigued, I'm getting this waking out of nowhere, my
hair's falling out. Does this sound like you? Probably your thyroid?
Welcome to Accelerated Health with Saravanta. I cut through the noise,
fast track your journey to better health in an easy way,

(00:53):
and I'm your host, CEO and founder of Accelerated Health
Products certified by the National Association of Nutritional Professionals, here
to share the latest on wellness hacks, supplements, natural health
solutions that actually work. And today that's the thyroid, from
boosting energy to detoxing and balancing hormones and everything in between.

(01:14):
So let's dive in everything that I just mentioned boosting energy, detoxing,
balancing hormones. Guess what controls all of it. You're a thyroid.
And if your thyroid's out of whack, the wheels come off.
It's the master endokrin land. That's why I talk about
it so much. So once considered a rare diagnosis, hypothyroidism

(01:39):
has truly become a pandemic. I was talking to another
practitioner yesterday and he says, Sarah, it comes down to
the thyroid and the liver, and the liver and the
thyroid they play together, and then that affects your stress
and it makes you feel more stressed. And stress that
you are experiencing from finance, the pandemic, spousal family issues,

(02:02):
all of that make your thyroid worse. So it's this
bidirectional issue and you are trapped and you don't know
what to do. And I've found myself in that trap
and I am so sensitive to my thyroid and it's
a god given thing because then I can come to
you with what works. So this is not just about

(02:23):
genetics or bad luck. It's about the world we live in.
Our parents and grandparents did not deal with this. We
have a food system that's been hijacked, the spite protein
from the pandemic, these endocrine disruptors, microplastics, heavy metals, all
the things you hear about and you're like, I don't

(02:43):
need to worry about that. You need to start worrying
about it. So this is where you can adopt a
thyroid healthy lifestyle. It's not difficult because, believe me, when
you start getting your energy back, you'll do anything right.
I've always said, I'll eat cardboard and run one thousand

(03:04):
miles if I can have energy and feel good. But
how do you do anything if you have no energy?
That's the problem. So we're going to get into the
easy steps to give you the foundation so you have
the energy to do the things you want to do
and have the willpower to do all the other stuff too.

(03:25):
Your thyroid gland, let's talk about it. It's this small,
little butterfly shaped powerhouse right here in your neck. It's
absolutely crucial for your overall health, your metabolism, your fat oxidation,
your energy, your mood. It controls that brain fog. When
your thyroid is on all cylinders, you feel like you

(03:47):
can conquer the world and I feel that, And when
it's not, you feel like the wheels have come off,
and it can lead to hypothyroidism. Hyperth Iroidism messes with
everything your weight, your mental clarity, how you feel day
to day, how you sleep, the truth is supporting healthy
thyroid isn't just important, it's essential. It's not just about

(04:11):
weight loss. Did you know your thyroid affects your heart health.
It affects your blood pumping, your gut, your digestion, your constipation.
So what are the symptoms of low thyroid that you
should look out for? Fatigue, low stamina, You wake up tired,
dragging through the day, weight gain, and you can't do anything.

(04:34):
I don't care how many steps you take, how many
exercise glasses you take, how little you eat. You can't
lose weight. Your cold all the time, your hands and
your feet are cold, especially, your skin's dry, nails are brittle,
your hair's falling out. You're constipated, You feel like your
digestion is on halt, it's not going anywhere. Brain fog, forgetfulness,

(04:59):
poor concentration. The doctor might say, oh, that's just menopause,
that's normal. It's not normal people, You're not meant to
feel that way. I don't care how old you are,
if you're in menopause. Out of menopause, no, you low mood, anxiety, depression,
heavy or irregular menstrual cycles, fertility changes, muscle ache, stiffness, weakness,

(05:24):
puffy face, swelling, especially around the eyes. You can't take
your rings off, your fingers, you can't see your ankles,
they're fat. That's your lymphatic your circulation, the water retention,
slow heart rate, poor exercise tolerance, elevated cholesterol. See, it's
not just about weight loss. It's affecting your cholesterol levels,

(05:47):
your liver health. So if some of these symptoms sound familiar,
it's your thyroid and your doctor might be saying, oh,
your thyroid numbers are normal tsh and T four. That
does not tell the whole picture. The T three is
your metabolism, and most doctors, even functional doctors, are not

(06:08):
testing free T three and reverse T three. Free T
three is that metabolism, your energy. The reverse T three
is when that T four converts into reverse T three
instead of T three. When you're stressed. It's putting the
halt and the breaks on your metabolism because it says

(06:29):
we're under threat, we're stressed out, we're going to pack
up on all of the pounds for storage for that
day when we're in a famine. We don't know what's
going on. So what has changed? Why has hypothyroidism become
a true pandemic. Number one is the toxins, the endocrine disruptors.

(06:52):
Our bodies are bombarded daily with these chemicals plastics, pesticides,
flame retardants, personal care products. They mimic or block our hormones,
and these endocrine disruptors confuse the thyroid, slowing hormonal production,
interfering with your metabolism, and as a result that chemicals

(07:14):
can prevent the thyroid from maintaining normal function. Then you've
got the fluoride in the other halogens. Fluoride, bromide, chlorine, right,
fluorides in our water, some in our toothpaste. Bromide is
in our breads, our mountain dew. It is illegal in

(07:34):
Europe for a reason, one of the twelve deadliest toxins
in the world, and we allow it in the United States.
It's in our baked goods, Chlorines in our water supply.
They all compete with iodine. Iodine is essential for your thyroid.
It makes up the four and three molecules of iodine

(07:57):
in that T four and T three. How can you
have thyroid hormones made up of four and three molecules
of iodine without iodine? Iidines no longer in our soils.
It's hardly in our idie salt anymore. And that iodide
salt is full of microplastics blocking the absorption of the iidine,
so it's not doing us any good anyway. This is

(08:20):
a huge issue. And so when we have the parking
spots of our cells that we're idine's supposed to go
in and it's not there, The fluoride, the bromide, the
chlorine that look like idine fill those parking spots and
cause breast cancer and thyroid disruption and all of these

(08:41):
chronic diseases we're seen. Then you have the spike protein
from the pandemic. New research suggests that the spike protein,
whether from the viral exposure or medical jabs, can bine
to thyroid tissue and trigger inflammation. Also affect liver function
where the thyroide hormone conversion occurs. This contributes to autoimmune

(09:03):
thyroid conditions worsening already that sluggish function. Then you have
the autoimmune thyroid diseases. They coexist with the health issues,
and then you've got vitamin B twelve deficiency, gut health problems.
All of these things they're piling up and your body says,
I can't do it anymore. So the spike proteins change

(09:27):
the game. Doesn't matter who you are, you've been affected.
Then you have oxalates and sulfur. These are the healthy
foods that we're told to eat. Oxalates are in kale, almonds, spinach,
chocolate berries, turmeric, one of the top supplements out there
full of oxalates causing kidney stones but also causing hypothyroidism.

(09:50):
Oxalates love to be attracted to that thyroid gland, leads
to brain fog, your genital issues, arthritis, so many issues
are like these little toothpicks that get jabbed into your tissues.
Make sure you go back and listen to my podcast
with Sally K. Norton. We talk all about oxalates and
then you've got the sulfur foods. These are another group

(10:13):
of healthy foods that we're thought or that we're told
we're supposed to eat. Broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale. Again, kale's
got oxalis and sulfur. The problem is is glyphosate and
the toxins in that environment have blocked our sulfur detox pathways.
So what was once a healthy food is now backing

(10:34):
up our liver, causing water retention, bloat, gas constipation, brain fog,
sluggish thyroid. So these are foods that you want to
stay away from now. In my Accelerated Food Guide that
is available for free on the website, it lists all
the sulfur and the oxalates and the mold and the
lectin foods that we want to stay away from, and

(10:55):
the foods that you can eat healthily and abundantly for
that healthy thyroid and just overall energy. So we also
have a world where people say, I don't know what's
going on in my body. I'm going to try to
eliminate a food. You've got the keto diet, the carnivore diet,

(11:17):
but then you've got the vegan and the plant heavy
diets that are full of sulfur and oxalates and luctins
and mold and not enough protein. And these are often
lacking the nutrients for your thyroid, protein, selenium, zinc, bioavailable idine.
Most vegans have sluggish thyroid and insulin resistant because they

(11:42):
have to eat a lot of food to get the
quantity of protein and amino acids they need. When you're
on an animal based diet, you're getting those proteins and
amino acids in these fine compact packages that look like
our own tissues because animal feeds animal right, and they're

(12:03):
packaged exactly in the right ratios that our body needs,
so we don't need to eat as much. That's why
when you eat a protein rich meal, your brain says, oh,
I'm good, I don't need to binge. I don't need
to overeat because I got plenty of nutrition. Protein and
amino acids trigger a hormone from your gut called CCK

(12:27):
to tell your brain I've gotten enough to eat. I
don't need to binge. That does not come from vegan foods.
That does not come from ben and Jerry's and margaritas
and ice cream. It only comes from essential amino acids
and omega three fatty acids. So something very important to

(12:48):
think about if you are on a plant heavy diet.
Now we talked about the endocrine disruptors by iodine deficiency.
I need to emphasize this because our soils are depleted
of iodine and magnesium and all of the other nutrients
but iodine. This is a huge factor. For decades, iodine

(13:11):
intake has declined due to the soils increase of the
processed foods and avoiding the iodize salt and now the
iodide salt full of microplastics and not having as much iodine.
So add in the halagen competition from fluoride fluoride in
the water's increased chlorine bromine. This has become a huge

(13:34):
issue for those who say you shouldn't be supplementing with
iodine because it causes hashimotives. Well, let's look at it.
Iodine's intake has gone down, right, hashimotives has gone up.
That doesn't make sense. So this is really important. You
want to look at all of these factors that have

(13:55):
hit us that are different. But now let's look at
the thyroid, deliver and the adrenals. The thyroid does not
function in isolation. You have to understand the liver and
the adrenals. The thyroid produces mostly T four in active
form of thyroid hormone. It needs to become that active
T three drop off one molecule of viodine. That mostly

(14:17):
happens in the liver. If the liver's backed up from
all the things we just talked about, the microplastics, processed foods,
the halogens, the spike protein, it's not going to be
very efficient in doing that, so then we don't have
as much T three. And what happens. The liver also
clears out the reverse T three, the bad reverse T three,

(14:41):
and if reverse T three builds up, it acts like
putting the brakes on the metabolism. So even if your
lab results show normal T four, you might have a
high reverse T three and low free T three causing
hypothyroid symptoms. That's where you are your best doctor, and

(15:02):
you don't stop until a doctor tests that reverse T
three in free T three. You get a new doctor
if your doctor says no. So the low thyroid then
affects the liver. Without enough thyroid hormone, the liver struggles
to metabolize fat, leading to fatty liver, elevated cholesterol. Detox

(15:23):
pathways slowed down, allowing more toxins to accumulate, which in
turn makes it makes it harder for the liver to
convert the T four to T three. It's suspicious cycle.
Then you've got the adrenal thyroid connection. Okay, so if
we are under stress, your adrenals use more iodine and

(15:45):
more salt than when they're not stressed. Well, that idine
is now being used by the adrenals and not enough
for your thyroid, so that's going to slow down your thyroid.
Increased adrenal stress is also going to cause that T
four to convert into reverse T three. So in short bursts,

(16:05):
the release of cortisol from the adrenals is great. It's protective.
You know, you need to lift that car off of
your child, or you've got to run really fast from
a tiger. That's great, but not chronic stress, financial stress,
a sick loved one, just kids in the house. Right,

(16:27):
Excess cortisol blocks that T four to T three conversion,
increasing reverse T three the bad T three and disrupts
the signaling from the brain to the thyroid, confusing this
feedback loop. This creates that classic picture of adrenal fatigue,
thyroid dysfunction, and then you have exhaustion, weight gain, poor

(16:51):
stress tolerance, and burnout. You feel sluggish, you feel puffy,
you feel like your hair is falling out. Your gut
it's not working all of that stuff. So the adrenals
affect the thyroid. The thyroid affects the adrenals, so we
have to manage our stress. Easier said than done. The

(17:11):
gut is also affected by the thyroid right. Your gut
is the secret foundation that determines whether your thyroid struggles
or thrives. So when you have good gut bacteria, it
can actually help your thyroid, and when it's out of whack,
it can trigger thyroid disease, the autoimmune kind hashi motos.

(17:34):
It is really important also to balance your blood sugar
and keep your thyroid steady. You know, too much fasting
can lower your thyroid because it can be perceived stressed
by the body. I'm a fan of thyroid or fasting
for certain people at certain times in your life, but
too much can cause your thyroid to slow down. So

(17:57):
what do we want to focus on diet? This is
where we look at the Accelerated Food Guide. You can
check it out when the link below you focus on
the wild animal proteins. They're no more expensive than chicken
and pork and beef. I promise you go to forceofnature
dot com. My link is below. You can save with
that link that has a great source of all of

(18:20):
the meats elk, bison, lamb, venison, ground meat, flats, ribbis,
whatever you want at every price range, delivered directly to
your door and as mom, it's been amazing because sometimes
I want a bison steak, my husband wants a beef
steak all grassped Sometimes I want ground venison for lunch,

(18:44):
and my son wants bison. We're making our own food
because it's straight from the freezer to frosted in ten minutes,
super easy. Makes things really easy and effective and price
effective as well. Do you want to exercise, move your body, walk,
manage your cortisol? Lift heavy weights. Those muscles are reservoirs

(19:09):
for energy and mitochondria. Just losing weight, you're probably losing
fat and muscle. There is a study I just did
on ozempic. People on ozempic typically lose forty percent of
muscle mass sixty percent fat. We don't want to be
losing our muscle because then when you're off the drug,

(19:29):
you gain it back and you gain all fat back.
Then you're worse off than before because guess what, your
metabolism has slowed down. You've been on a chloric restrictive diet,
and now you have less muscle that burns more calories.
So that's not where you want to go. You want
to make sure you're lifting heavy weights, packing that in

(19:51):
the essential amino acids the wild animal protein. If you
don't need enough protein, you can use accelerated aminos that
has those essential amino acid and other cofactor ingredients to
help boost that muscle, burn the fat and rev up
the ATP and the energy in the body. So you
want to choose as much as you can whole, clean,

(20:15):
ideally organic food. Avoid the processed foods, the seed oils,
anything artificial. They're all going to burn your liver and
slow down your metabolism in your thyroid health. Prioritize that
wild animal protein, wildfish, wild venison, bison. Those are the
top pork, chicken, conventionally raised beef. They're full of the

(20:38):
inflammatory fats. Even if you think it's the skinny white meat,
it's got more of the Omega six fatty acids that
can cause inflammation even in your thyroid throughout the body.
You can have one to two brazil nuts for that selenium.
Limit the oxalates and sulfur. If you struggle with those detoxes,

(20:58):
detox pathways and eliminate them all for a week or two.
Reintroduce one. See how you feel. Are you bloated, are
you constipated? That's a sign your body shouldn't have them
right then clean water, fluoride free water. You want to
get those toxins out of the water you drink. Manage stress.

(21:20):
My favorite thing to do is when I wake up,
when the sun's coming up, I take the dogs for
a ten minute walk around the block. It's not exercise,
it's just a stroll. And then I do the same
thing at night as the sun's going down. That sets
my circadian rhythm, tells my brain as it's looking at
dawn and dusk, when it's going to be time to

(21:43):
sleep and when it's going to be time to wake up.
My sleep score this morning ninety one because I've gotten
into this good rhythm. It's been a long time since
I've been in the nineties, so this has definitely been
helpful for that. That sleep and you're sleep is huge
for your thyroid health. You want to use a mineral

(22:04):
rich salt. Electrolytes are really important for your thyroid. Remember
I said your adrenals burn up more salt and idine
when they're under stress. Okay, so we've talked about the
foods to avoid, the foods to use exercise stress management.
Now supplements, let's do this naturally, possibly without your medication.

(22:26):
I've never been on medication. I've had hypothyroidism and I
manage my thyroid with these supplements daily. Number one is
acceleradine idine idine idine idine. It is so important for
detoxing for thyroid health, providing that four and three molecules
of idine for the T four and T three. But

(22:48):
acceleratine iodine is different. It's monoatomic one molecule of iidine,
meaning it's ready to go in every cell of the body.
And it's carried with two hundred proof or gam non
gml alcohol. Why is that important? If that iodine is
paired with glycerine or a cheaper alcohol, it's not going

(23:09):
to easily get into all of the cells. Try to
put a glycerin iodine on your skin. It's sticky, it's messy,
it doesn't absorb. They're the same with inside your body.
So you can use the accellerdine iodine topically. And I
did a podcast about brast health where you combine the
accellerdine iodine with the accelerated scalar cast oil for your

(23:32):
breast tissue and to get rid of fibroids and cysts,
and you can put it over your belly, do a
cast oil pack. Get rid of your PMS symptoms, your bloats,
your your cramps, all of that it helps. So it
is extremely bioavailable. You will feel the difference. Accelerated Thyroid.
This is the one two punch. It combines ingredients that

(23:55):
I've been taking for years separately, and we combine them.
It's the most comprehensive thyroid supplement. Conchinara, which is traditionally
an arabatic herb used to reduce thyroid swelling, nodules and
support lymphatic cleansing, so it helps it without water retention.
Google helps improve the metabolism, the fat balance, and reduce

(24:19):
the glandular congestion. Then we add in the grass fed
Thyroid Glandular from New Zealand, the best source out there.
This formula works on multiple levels, helps with the congestion
of the thyroid, improve metabolism, and support the whole endocrine system.
You feel amazing and it actually might help with the

(24:40):
PMS symptoms. I've heard those reviews as well where it's like,
oh my gosh, my period is not painful this time around.
Ever since I've started the Accelerated Thyroid, the reviews and
testimonials have been ongoing and it's just warm my heart

(25:00):
because it's making people feel like themselves again. Now I've
talked a lot, a lot, a lot about thyroid, liver, liver, thyroid,
that's where the accelerated liver care comes in. It has
ingredients like cooke tea, Philanthus, eclipta. Maybe you've never heard
of them, but I have and I've done my research.

(25:21):
There's twelve very powerful herbs in this formula that are
strategically put into ratiows that work to get the best effect.
Milk thistle, TUGCU very important. There's one herb called Polperira.
No one's heard of it. It has studies for being

(25:42):
extremely effective against cirrhosis and liver cancer. So it promotes bioflow.
That bile gets the junk out, detoxing your liver and
your whole body, regenerating your liver, helping reduce fatty liver,
and helping support that thyroid hormone conversion that happens in
the liver. Now, when people think about thyrate, they don't

(26:05):
think about copper. Copper is critical to get the iron
in your body that's already there to where it needs
to go. People think anemia. I'm iron deficient. No, you've
got plenty of iron in your body. You need copper
to get that iron to where it needs to go.
But it's also going to help with your skin and
your hair and your fat metabolism. So super great supplement.

(26:29):
And then I mentioned salt. Your adrenals and your thyroid
use idine and salt. Accelerated ancient salt is a blend
of five unprocessed ancient salt no microplastics over sixty two
minerals helps with that adrenal in thyroid health and detoxification.
So those are the supplements I recommend. Really important. You

(26:51):
want to move your body, not too much, don't overstress it,
but incorporate the walking, heavy lifting, yoga, meditation. Focus on
the clean whole foods ideally organic, wild animal proteins, the
fruits and vegetables that are not full of oxalates and sulfur.
Like I talked about, make sure you're monitoring your thyroid

(27:15):
blood tests. Now blood test is only a snapshot, but
it will give you some feedback. Right, you want the
TSH free T three, free T four reverse T three
reverse antibodies. You want all of them, not just the
TSH and T four. Very important. So your body is
constantly talking to you, and you might have a sluggish

(27:38):
day and a good day and your thyroid might be
going up and down. Really try to get in tune.
It is not rare anymore to have thyroid issues. In fact,
I think most of you do, and it's not your fault.
You need to get back to normal and hopefully these
will give you. These things that I've talked about will

(27:59):
give you ideas and inspiration to take the next steps
that you have the energy to do the things you
