Are NITY supplements really that magic molecule or could they
actually backfire? Welcome to Accelerated Health of Sara Banta, where
I cut through the noise and fast track your journey
to better health. I'm your host, CEO and founder of
Accelerated Health Products and certified by the National Association of
Nutritional Professionals. I'm here to share the latest and supplements,
(00:53):
wellness ACKs, and natural health solutions that actually work. From
boosting energy to detoxing, balancing hormones and everything in between.
I will help you reach your optimal health. So let's
dive in NAD it's having a moment. If you've stepped
into a biohacking podcast, ivy therapy or longevity forum, you've
(01:18):
heard of the hype NAD plus. It's hailed as the
cellular currency of energy and youth, capable of power in
your mitochondria. And I always say, if your mitochondria are dying,
you die. We are only as healthy as our mitochondria.
I am the biggest proponent of mitochondrial health. But is
(01:39):
it NAD that's reversing the aging, boosting the brain power
and extending your life? Spam, I should say, is it
NAD supplements? Many people are now turning to these NAD
supplements as a way to combat aging, slow age related decline,
support longevity and making a part of their antiagene and
(02:01):
biohacking movement. And yes, there's truth to all of it.
But should you be taking an NAD supplement? So this
is the issue. There's issues with histamine intolerance, methylation issues,
spike protein has made everything messed up, sulfur sensitivities. These
(02:24):
could all be issues where that NAD supplement is actually
backfiring and even underlying cancer. Could it make your cancer
worse or grow faster? So it might be doing more
harm than good. So let's break it down. What is
NAD plus It's an essential coenzyme found in every cell.
(02:44):
Sounds super important. It is. It acts like a metabolic activator,
helping turn the nutrients into energy, protecting DNA from damage,
and regulating your agen. So it increases the ATP production.
Always talk about ATP. That's your cellular energy. It's not
coming from the monster drink or your coffee. It's coming
(03:05):
from your ATP. And it does that via the electron
transport chain. It increases energy metabolism, supporting efficient cellular energy
production and metabolic pathways. It activates the sertuin which governs
longevity and stress resistance, helps with DNA repair, gene expression,
(03:27):
and epigenetic regulation, so it helps with the good genes
being activated and keeping the bad ones in the back pocket. Right.
It helps protect your brain. It helps with detoxification by
activating both phase one and phase two liver enzymes, so
the body naturally synthesizes and regulates and recycles anydplus through
(03:52):
three main pathways, the DNOVO pathway from trip to Fan,
the price hand pathway from niosin, and the salvage pathway
from nam. So. Compounds such as NR and m nm
N are considered NAD precursors, and these are the supplements
(04:14):
that people like to take. They serve as building blocks
for that NAD plus in these pathways. So the NAD
precursors NR and NMN play that crucial role in boosting
cellular NAD plus levels, which supports physiological function and promotes
the healthy ag This recycling process is efficient and healthy
(04:37):
individuals with optimal nutrition, detox capacity, metabolic function. All of
the studies that show promise with these supplements are done
in healthy individual Well, our society isn't so healthy. We've
got a lot of mthfr gene issues. Over fifty percent
(04:58):
of you, most of you have backed up liver fatty
liver disease. Over fifty percent of adults and twenty five
percent of children have faty liver disease. We have food
that isn't real food, the processed food with the microplastics
that heavy metals. We've got the radiation from our cell
phones that we carry around every day. All of these
things affect the way we absorb, metabolize, and process not
(05:23):
just any desupplements, but all supplements, all food. And I've
talked about the fact that if your body or your
liver is not working great, taking hormones could backfire. Taking progesterone, estrogen, HRT,
thyroid hormones, all of those things are fat based. Your
(05:46):
liver needs to be able to digest and metabolize fat
very easily and effectively to take on those hormones and
metabolize them and use them properly. Well, this leads to
supplements like NAD, So we've got to look at the
how to increase NAD in a more intrinsic way away
(06:10):
for away from taking the actual NAD supplement. But let's
look at any D plus versus nyd h. This is
the dynamic duo of cellular energy. So NYD plus and
nydh are the unsung heroes working behind the scenes. They
are both forms of the nicotinamide adeninine di nucleotide. That's
(06:34):
a mouthful, an essential coenzyme found in every cell. The
NAD plus is the oxidized form, while the NADH is
the reduced form, So think of them as two sides
of the same coin. Constantly cycling to keep your body's
energy running, the engine's running. So the NAD plus acts
(06:56):
as a key player in the energy production, helping to
convert the food you eat into usable energy through mitochondria.
This is why sometimes you might be eating food going
I'm not getting my energy from this. This isn't working well.
There's a break in the chain of communication, and ANAD
plus has a part in that. It also supports DNA,
(07:19):
repaired gene expression and the activation of longevity pathways. NADH,
on the other hand, carries electrons during the metabolic reactions
fueling the production of ATP. That's your energy currency of
your cells. And as we age, this NAD plus decline,
(07:39):
which can slow down energy production impair your cellular health.
And this drop is linked to a range of age
related issues like the metabolic disorders neurodegenerative diseases. Reduced NAD
plus levels are also associated with chronic diseases, including cardiovascular
issues metabolic it. So this is where the supplementation has
(08:04):
come in and become very popular. You can get it
in pills, powders, and ivs, and it's essentially if you
do it, you might react to one better than the other.
The pills are the most familiar and accessible. They're typically
in capsules or tablets in that and n R type form,
(08:30):
and this is designed for daily use, easy to add
to your supplement routine. Then you've got the powders and
people like to mix them into their drinks or water,
what have you. And then you've got the ivs and
this represents the most direct and rapid method I've heard
so many people saying I get really nauseous and sick
(08:50):
and it becomes an issue. I mean, I'm just thinking
about you don't want to dose yourself with anything in
such a high dose. Boy, that's not natural. Your body's
going to react in an abnormal way. Just to try
to think of things in a more common sense way. Okay,
(09:11):
So how and why could these synthetic NED precursors or
supplements backfire so naturally people try to check shortcut the problem,
just like with testosterone or anything else. Well, they could,
but they could backfire methylation, So every time your body
(09:34):
converts NMN or NR to NAD, it consumes methyl groups,
the very same methyl groups you need to break down histamine,
and histamine is a huge issue now after the spike protein.
Even in people who have never had histamine intolerance before
or allergies, they're having issues now, including me and I
(09:58):
have the mthfr gene. I could not do an NAD supplement,
so it is needed to break down histamine. Detox. Your
estrogen and other hormones metabolize sulfur and ammonia. Most of
you can't handle sulfur now because your detox pathways for
sulfur have been compromised due to the glyphosate and other
(10:19):
toxins in our environment. It's not the sulfur's fault, it's
our environment. It is also needed to help with neurotransmitters dopamine, serotonin,
ore epinephrin, and recycle the glue tothion and support DNA methylation.
Now people like to take glue tothion supplements, same thing.
(10:40):
It's sulfur based, could backfire, back up your liver and
actually not give you the results you're looking for. Glueed
dethion is supposed to help your liver, so how is
it going to help you if it's actually backing up
your liver. So that's just another side point. So if
you're already dealing with impaired methylation with MTHFR, the comp gene,
(11:02):
the maoa, CBS, or sewox genes, you simply don't have
the methyl reserves to spare. So this is something very
important to look at. And you might have these histamine
flares or mast cell activation, brain fog, insomnia, anxiety. These
are the symptoms you need to look for if you
(11:23):
started in an ad supplement and it might not be
working for you. Detox crashes or flu like symptoms, hormonal
chaos either PMS, estrogen dominance, low testosterone fatigue, and it's
not rare to see people do this without supporting their terrain.
(11:44):
That leaky gut. We want to make sure our gut's healthy.
So number two, that spike protein exposure creates this perfect
perfect storm. The spike protein, whether it's from the infection
or the mRNA exposure, created long term metalabolic chaos even
in me. I. You know, I had no symptoms when
(12:04):
I got the virus. I didn't get the job. But
that spike proteins in my body and it is freaking havoc,
just like it is in you. And this activates the
mouse cells the histamine pathways, disrupts the sulfur and ammonia
detox even more, impairs oxygen utilization in the mitochondria, increases
oxidative stress and cellular aging, and blocks the cirtuin activation
(12:28):
with chronic inflammation. So trying to boost NAD in a
terrain damage by the spike protein is like pumping gas
into a broken engine. You're stimulating metabolic passways that are
already overwhelmed and can't do their job, leading to flare ups, regression,
and crashes, so your body does not need more NAD.
(12:53):
It needs to restore mitochondrial integrity, clear the toxins, and
rebuild the enzigmatic functions. First number three, did you know
NED could fuel your cancer cells that you might not
even know you have. This is the most alarming and
not really discuss so because it supports cell replication and survival,
(13:18):
DNA repair and geogenesis, so to an activity, it can
protect the cancer cells from that apoptosis, so it can
be used by the cancer cells to proliferate and resist treatment.
Some tumors are even known to hijack this ND plus
pathway to feed their own growth. So this is something
(13:41):
that most people are not talking about. And if you're
if you have a terrain that's already burdened by toxins, inflammation,
or pre cancerous cells, this could promote the wrong cells
to grow, so I would make sure you take that
into account. And then cognitive health, so could it be
(14:03):
sharpening your mind or no. Many people turn to these
supplements in hopes of maintaining their mental clarity as they
grow older. Human studies have begun to shed light on
the effects of the NAD supplements. They suggest that maybe
they can increase the level of the brain. But again
(14:24):
this is done on healthy people. It's not taking into
account what we just talked about. So yes, NAD, increasing
NAD in the body could help your mental health, it
could help your physical health, energy, endurance, recovery. Yes, we
want all of this. I want to increase my NAD.
(14:44):
It helps with blood circulation, oxygenation, so many things. But
these results in these clinical studies, once again we're done
with healthy adults. Most people today are suffering from batty
liver disease backed up life at the very least compromised
liver function, and if it's already overwhelmed, throwing exogenous NAD
(15:09):
could make things worse. And then, by the way, these
people with fatty liver disease, which is most people have,
they addressed their diet and their other supplements how to
boost their end naturally before throwing in the supplement. So
I always go back to let's talk about the fundamentals. First,
(15:31):
we need to look at our sleep, our movement, and
then maybe some of the other basic supplements that can
increase your NAD naturally. And with all supplements, if you're
looking at NAD supplements, know the company has it been
third party tested it Are you getting it off Amazon
(15:54):
or from the company itself? So it's just a bigger converse, right,
But let's say they're all you know, it's third party tested,
it's pure. You don't want to throw that exogenous fire
or more gasoline on the fire, right, So what I
want to give you are some key supplements that help
(16:16):
your body increase its own NAD. I go back to
the fact that when my liver was under attack, I
had the spike protein, the shingles, and parasites all at
the same time. I could not take a lot of
supplements because my liver couldn't handle it. I had to
give my liver a break. And so many people have
(16:39):
liver issues right now and detox pathways that are blocked
that they have to be careful. So we want our
own body to produce NAD healthily and on its own.
And so this is where we want to support your
own body's ability to produce, recycle, and maintain that NAD.
(17:00):
So you want a detox help with mitochondrial repair and
metabolic health, and number one is iodine. I always look
to accelerateine iodine for my thyroid health, for detoxing my body,
for helping with that cell membrane. It is part of
that brain of the cell, the cell membrane to help
the toxins out and nutrients in. It increases that ATP
(17:24):
inside the mitochondria. The number one cause of mitochondrial failure
is iodine deficiency, the number one cause of depression iodine deficiency,
The number one cause of hypothyroidism iodine deficiency. So how
does it help with NAD. It boosts the mitochondrial function
(17:44):
and cellular voltage by supporting the thyroid and the adrenal glands.
This improves ATP output, your body's energy currency that is
tightly linked to NAD cycling. It displaces the toxic halogens
like fluoride, bromine, and chlorine that block the iodine uptake
and the thyroid suppress the mitochondria metabolism, and these toxins
(18:09):
interfere with oxygen use and suppress the NAD pathways. It
enhances detoxification, spike protein right, it's helping with that. I've
got to be careful with how I talk about that,
but it helps with the xeno estrogens, the heavy metals,
and all of the other toxins and balances hormones that thyroid.
(18:30):
Liver access function critical for metabolic rate, fat loss, and
mental clarity and your energy. So without a healthy thyroid
and liver, the enzigmatic machinery needed for NAD synthesis cannot work.
So acceleratine iodine clears the roadblocks to restore oxygenation and
(18:51):
metabolic flow. So this is number one. Number two accelerated
liver Care. Your liver is one of the most over
looked players in any d metabolism and it's the most
vulnerable to modern day toxins. So in the accelerated liver
care this was a game changer for my liver health.
(19:12):
It's specifically designed to gently and effectively restore liver health.
It combines thirteen very strategically chosen and highly concentrated herbs
together to get the most impact out of a liver supplement.
Tugka helps with the bile and increases the support towards
(19:37):
the mitochondrial production. It helps get those toxins out. Calcium
deglucorate helps safely bind the excess estrogens that slow down
the metabolism and cause that balley fat cause the man boobs.
Cooked Tea supports atophagy and regeneration of liver cells. And
(19:57):
then there's some other herbs in there that improve phase
one and two detox reduced liver inflammation, support the bile
production even more so, why does it help with NAD.
The liver is central to methylation, sulfur, detoxification, and getting
rid of that bad estrogen, all of which affect your
ability to synthesize and recycle that NED plus. So when
(20:21):
your liver is congested, your methyl groups go towards survival,
not longevity, and by clearing the burden you are restoring
liver health and helping increase the ND regeneration. Number three,
accelerated C sixty. I love this supplement. You know, in
a study of rats, these rats had were known to
(20:46):
grow multiple tumors and their lifespan was typically about eighteen months,
and they would all die with multiple tumors. The ones
put on accelerated C sixty not one died with one tumor,
and they lived ninety percent longer. Talk about longevity, Well,
this plays a huge role in protecting mitochondria and it
(21:10):
helps with the NAD. So it neutralizes oxidative stress and
free radicals that damage mitochondria and deplete the NAD stores,
protects mitochondrial membranes, enabling efficient electron transport and minimizing NED
leakage or that conversion loss. It helps with ittophagy and detoxification,
(21:31):
so it's super important for that NAD plus. Oxidative stress
is one of the primary reasons NAD declines with age
and illness, so you take it to preserve and protect
your existing NAD plus pool by reducing the demand for
constant repair and replacement. You got money in the bank,
(21:52):
you're not spending it as much. Next is methylene blue,
accelerated methylene blue. It helps with your mitochondria. It works
on the redox balance your brain energy, oxygen, oxygenation. I
put it in my coffee, I put it in my
workout drink. I'll have a little bit in my afternoon
pickup to get that second wind for work, and I
(22:15):
feel it turned my brain on fire. It improves mitochondrial
energy production, acts as an alternative electron carrier in the
electron transport chain. It balances the NAD plus and the
NADH ratio without requiring the methyl donors, which is essential
for those with the MTHFR or CBS gene variants. It
(22:38):
increases oxygen utilization, promotes that soreburl blood flow, improving mental
clarity and neuroplasticity. And it supports redox recycling which reduces
the NAD drain caused by inflammation and oxidative stress. So
it stimulates the NAD production gently without the methyl lace
(23:00):
drain or estrogen flare that the nm N or NR
can trigger. It's particularly useful for people with post viral fatigue,
brain fog, and histamine issues. Next is accelerated aminos which
is a protein amino acid supplement, but we put in
(23:20):
there something very cool. It's called senactive, and this is
in the NAD supplements that are promoted and marketed to
increase NAD. They're talking about the senactive and we put
it in our essential our accelerated amino acids. So this
(23:42):
sinactive is a patented complex and it promotes mitophagy, clearing
out damage mitochondria that waste ND. It stimulates mitochondria biogenesis,
allowing for more NAD powered energy hubs to form. It
reduces inflammation and enhances muscle regeneration, redirecting NAD plus towards
(24:03):
cell building rather than damage. But we've also put in there,
of course, the nine essential amino acids that fuel the
synthesis of nad plus dependent enzymes like sirtuins and help
regulate m tore and ampk OKG. You probably haven't heard of.
It helps clear the ammonia and support lutamine pathways needed
(24:25):
for mitochondrial integrity. HMB. I just heard a study that
HMB and older individuals increases muscle protein synthesis by twenty percent.
Just that HMB. People talk about loucine, but leucine has
to convert into HMB to be used. We put in
HMB and lousine so this preserves muscle tissue, reduces the
(24:50):
nad plus consumption during catabolism, and enhances energy efficiency. Estrogen.
I love this. It goes really well with the SYNAI
because it increases your essential amino acid absorption and all
of your nutrient absorption by forty one percent. Most of
us have leaky gut and can't absorb what we're taking in.
(25:13):
That's why we have no energy. We think we eat
and it's going to automatically transport into fuel, and energy
doesn't work that way. You've got to have a gut
that can absorb nutrients TMG. This provides the critical methyl
donors to support methylation cycles and detox pathways, preventing that
(25:35):
nd crash and erotic acid helps rebuild mitochondrial DNA and
ATP that is needed for the NAD. So this is
so great for that anti aging goal that you have
and then accelerated cogniblast. It's designed for brain health and focus,
(25:55):
but it serves as a powerful tool for boosting brain
driven NAD production. When I take this, especially when I
take it with the methylene blue Woo, my brain is
on fire. I can focus, I can type faster. The
mood is lifted, the depression, the fog is lifted, my
(26:16):
vision is clear, and it increases that brain NAD levels
which may support the cognitive function and help protect your brain.
It promotes mitochondrial regeneration, long term brain health, and helps
with the neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's in Parkinson's. So it
(26:36):
activates the mpk AMPK which upregulates the NAMPT key enzyme
in the nead salvage pathway. It booths BDNF, stimulates neurogenerous
and the formation of new mitochondria and brain tissue. Now
for me, this is super important because I have both
(26:57):
genes from both parents, for that all, and I'm not
going to get it. I'm determined to protect my brain.
It triggers the transcription factor responsible for mitochondria biogenesis. It
helps reduce brain inflammation and increase that fatty acid oxidation,
(27:17):
helping your cells burn cleaner fuel and regenerate NAD in
the process. So this is so great for your brain
and the NAD in your brain. So can you turn
back the clock with NAD? Yes, it's essential for energy longevity,
mitochondrial resistance, but more isn't always better, and taking it
(27:39):
exogenously is not always good. Flooding the system with synthetic
precursors like NMN or NR might give you a temporary relief.
But I've also heard people say I broke out, Well,
why'd you break out? Your skin? Is your liver saying
I'm overwhelmed. I can't do it alone. Skin help me.
(28:02):
If you have a rash of any sort, actme breakout egzima, psoriasis, rxatia,
all signs of your liver is just screaming for help.
So you might have methylation overload, histamine or sulfur issues,
detox crashes. Is it worth it and your body is
not even using it? It has, you have to assume
(28:24):
that it's actually able to convert that supplement into night,
and it may not because your body is not healthy.
So also you want to make sure you're addressing a
clean diet, organic food, clean food, off the processed foods,
wild animal protein not the chicken, the conventional beef for
(28:47):
the pork. And then you can add in supplements like
accelerate aniodine, accelerated liver care, accelerated C sixty, accelerated methylene blue,
accelerated aminos, accelerate to cognibleast. All of them help your
body produce its own NAD. Wouldn't it be great for
(29:08):
your body to do it? It's just like, wouldn't it
be great for your body to be able to produce
more testosterone and get your hormones balance without taking an
exogynist supplement for that or medication. I hope this really
triggered some thoughts about your NAD supplementation. Thanks for tuning
