more parents are turning to supplements for improved health of

their children. And I've got three kids. They're all grown
young at nineteen and twenty one, twenty three, so all
the hard work is done. They're on their own. I've
taught them everything I know they'll listen to me still.
But what's great is every time they go off to
college and leave my house of great food, whole food,

(01:35):
and I try to stay away from the process foods.
I give them the supplements that I think are needed,
knowing that you don't want to overdo it with children
because then they're going to say, I'm not doing anything
you say, mom. And then they go off to college
and they realize, gosh, my mom was smart. I feel
like crap when I eat out of the cafeteria. The

food doesn't even taste like real food. And staying up
late at night actually doesn't work well for my body.
And why am I gaining weight? Why am I inflamed?
Why is my acne getting worse? All of these things
start happening when kids then go off on their own
if they were under some sort of guidance in the house.

And it's not just about supplements, it's about daily habits.
Are they working out, are they eating real food? And
I'm not talking about a low carb diet or a
vegan diet or a specific diet. I'm just talking about
whole food. And here we are in this condition of
society where there's more anxiety more depression, more obesity, which

was only an adult disease. Non alcoholic faty liver disease
was only for alcoholics, and now twenty five percent or
more of our children have non alcoholic fatty liver disease. Guys,
that should stop you in your tracks. Type two diabetes
to be called adult onset diabetes. They had to change

(03:04):
the name because it's now found in children and it's
related to the liver, and hypothyroidism is rampant in as adults.
That's why menopausal symptoms are worse. Hormones are related to
the liver and the thyroid, and if your metabolism isn't working,
you're constipated, you're bloated, you have water attention inflammation, cholesterol

(03:27):
goes up, liver backs up, all the things, and no
one knows why the wheels are coming off. And those
hormonal balances that are causing you and menopause and perimenopause
to have worsen symptoms, unexplained waking, the hot flashes, hair
falling out, all that stuff is affecting our children's pms,

though their menstrual cycles are worse. More and more young girls,
twelve thirteen year old girls are being put on birth
control just to regulate their cycles and get rid of
the pain. This is a crisis and our poor children,
it's not their fault. And so as a parent talking

mom to mom, it is really important that regardless if
you're talking about a supplement you want your child to
take a diet and making a decision about the food
they put in their mouth, about what they're consuming on
social media, what they're doing for exercise, you have to
explain the why. You can't just say no, you can't

(04:29):
just say do this. They need to understand for themselves.
And this really came to the forefront in my life
when I had this one supplement which I can't name
because Google doesn't like me talking about the supplement, but
I can show you this is the flagship product. This
is the product that started my business, and it tastes

like water. What I found with children is when they
took it and they had ownership of this is my bottle,
this is my supplement. They love doing it. They felt
good about themselves. They took ownership. They understood that it
was going to keep them from getting sick in school
and all of the other benefits. So regardless of what

your goal is with your child. You want to tell
them the why. So, like I said, our children and us,
like I talk about all the time, are growing up
in a world that has changed dramatically, the nutritional challenges.
We've got soils that are depleted, Broccoli which I don't

want you to eat in the first place because it's
full of sulfur and we'll talk about that later, that
has one fiftieth maybe of the nutrition it did for
our grandparents. So even as they're eating it thinking they're healthy,
they're not getting the nutrition. Because our soils are depleted,
our food or water, our air, they are not what

(05:53):
they once were, and targeted supplements can fill in the gaps.
I've seen growth being compromised, cognitive performance, more ADHD, anxiety
depression in our children, and like I mentioned, the obesity,
the fatty liver, the insulin resistance, all those things. So

(06:15):
you want to focus on good nutrition. That is the basis.
Because supplements are supplemental, they don't replace a good diet.
If it's packaged, it's processed. If it's processed, it could
have artificial ingredients that have zero calories that actually cause
obesity and insulin resistance and type two diabetes and fatty liver,

(06:37):
even though they don't have any calories or fat or sugar,
and those artificial sweeteners, the fillers, the toxins, they get
stuffed into our fat cells for survival, and those fat
cells say, hey, I've got to protect this body. I'm
going to hold onto this for survival, and I'm just
going to make more and bigger fat cells. And I

(06:59):
don't don't care if I'm fat. I don't care if
I'm obese. I don't care if I've insulin resistance. I've
got to survive. I've got to get these toxins out
of my bloodstream. So that's why you want to focus
on the real food. And nowadays it's got to be organic.
When I was growing up and when my children were young,
I didn't know anything about organic. I raised my hand.

(07:20):
I should be put in jail. I was microwaving corn
dogs for my children when they were young. Probably the
reason that they had their issues, Probably the reason that
my son was on the verge of leukemia and my
daughter was anemic and had allergies and a whole bunch
of other issues. Probably the reason that my other child
had issues with or learning. Because I didn't know, but

(07:43):
today we know and the organic food is not even perfect.
But we can only do so much. So you don't
want to stress out about it because that will backfire, right,
But focus on the lean proteins, the wild animal proteins
if you can. I'll put the link below to my
favorite wild animal protein service. It's great, shows up my doorstep,

(08:07):
cheaper than the market. In my freezer. My growing son
that's not growing anymore but eats like he is, can
pull out a pound of meat aground, venison or bison
and cook it up for lunch and I don't have
to worry about it. And my husband might want beef steaks,
and I might want the bison steaks. Super easy to
pull it out of the freezer, cook all at the

(08:28):
same time. So easy for a mom. You just go
to the market for your fruits and your vegetables and
your meats are all in your freezer. Get a cheap
freezer for your garage just to hold your frozen meats.
Your life will be so much easier and your kids
will get the most nutrient dense food ever. Okay, so

(08:48):
that is on the nutrition. You get your micronutrients, your
macro nutrients. That's where the energy comes from. But this
is the problem, is you eat food and you assumets
in energy. There's this break that body of yours needs
to be able to convert the food taken in in energy.

(09:08):
And this chasm is the liver, so thyroid, the liver
and the gut. If your gut is experiencing dyspiosis or
leaky gut, if your liver's backed up and you have
fatty liver disease, if your thyroid's not working, then that
metabolism isn't working and you are not converting that good
nutrition into energy, and your child doesn't feel good brain

(09:31):
fog adhd anxiety. And believe me, when your child suffering
in the brain, you are suffering. Your life as a
parent becomes so much harder. So these are the reasons
for the decline in our children's health. The soil depletion
in the and then nutrient loss. The one of the
main minerals that is no longer in our soils is iodine.

(09:53):
And you hear me talking about this. It is so
important for our children. Even the FDA tells pregnant women
and children they need to be having more idine than
the regular population. But also copper magnesium, zinc. All of
these things are needed for the brain, the thyroid and everything.
So our soils are depleted, our produce does not have

(10:15):
what it once had, even that organic fruit and the vegetables,
the processed foods, the ultrafry, refined ingredients they have, the
refined sugars, the seed oils, the preservatives, the synthetic additives.
They disrupt the metabolism and the brain chemistry. They literally
make you anxious and have ADHD. These additives, the fluoride,

(10:40):
the bromide. Bromide is illegal in Europe and it's found
in our breads, our mountain dew, our food system. We
are not meant to take in these chemicals. Fluoride not
good on that toothpaste. Take it out of your child's toothpaste.
It will not only hurt their teeth, but it will

(11:01):
block idine in their brain and the thyroide in their
body and become another toxin and a neurotoxin. By the way,
a lot of those medications, the anti depressants, anti anxiety medications,
are fluoro based, fluoride based. So here you're taking a
medication that's supposed to help your brain and it's dumbing

(11:24):
you down. It's displacing the idine, and idine is the
number Eidine deficiency is the number one cause of depression.
Idine deficiency is the number one cause of mitochondrial failure.
When you're mitochondria fail or die, you die. So it's
just a quickening of the aging process, and we don't

(11:45):
want that for our children. The seed oils, these are
unstable oils and they promote systemic inflammation. Yes, we need
a little bit of it, but the kind that is
in the ultra processed foods, that's not what our bodies need.
So the argument over seed oils, we're having two different conversations.

(12:06):
It's not the seed oils from our grandparents' generation, right, Okay,
So these habits cause the insulin resistance, mitochondrial dysfunction, fatty
liver disease. And then we want to be careful with
the oxalates and the sulfur foods. Now, as an adult
you're more sensitive to it, but even my children have

(12:27):
shown sensitivities to this oxalates or spinach, almonds, most nuts, berries, oranges.
So they're just elements that can slow down your thyroid,
cause your genital issues, brain fog, depression. Be careful with them.
Sulfur foods are the garlic, the onions, the broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale.

(12:52):
These can actually cause water retention, weight gain, slow down
that thyroid brain fog. So these are foods. Yes, keep
an eye on their whole foods. They can be okay
for some people, some children, but if your child is
reacting to something and you don't know what, look at
my accelerated food guide pinpoint these foods. Try to eliminate

(13:14):
them and see if you see a difference. We've got
these environmental toxins and endocrine disruptors. So these are the phallatees,
the BPA, parabin's flame retardants. They mimic our hormones, interrupt
your thyroid and adrenal function, and they contribute to anxiety,
attention issues, sleep issues, early puberty, and pesticides. Herbicides such

(13:37):
as the glyphosate make things even worse than the fluoridated
and chlorinated water. Just like I talked about. They don't
help with cavities. I'm sorry this has been debunked and
their effects on the brain are awful. So it competes
with the iyedine for the receptor sites, and you need
iyedine for that T four and T three the four

and three molecules of idine, your thyroid hormones that is
need for your metabolism and your brain and so many
other things. So they can cause slower cognitive processing, mood instability.
And then on top of that is the eydine deficiency.
So we have these halogens that have gone up in
our society to replace or displace the eyedine, and eydine

deficiency has caused well, idine in our soils has gone down,
and we have eydine deficiency. Everybody ninety six percent or
more of the population has eydine deficiency. And this is
the cornerstone mineral for human health, right, Okay, so what else?

(14:43):
We've got the vitamins and the minerals we need and
we get. We want to focus on that lean animal protein, wildfish,
the good fruits and vegetables according to the Accelerated Food Guide,
and that protein protein protein protein. Our children are not
eating enough protein. You want to get at least zero
point eight grams of protein per pound of body weight.

(15:06):
What does that translate to, Well, if you have a
seventy pound child, you need about fifty to sixty grams
of protein a day. You need that protein for the brain,
the muscles, and also to stabilize that blood sugar so
that they're actually feeling good and not making you crazy.
That comes from the wild animal proteins, grass fed meats, eggs,

clean fish. But you can also use essential amino acids,
and we'll talk about that. These are These are amino
acids that have close to one hundred percent bioavailability. Not
in the crappy protein powders that could be full of
lead and actually cause fat gain and muscle gain at

the same time and don't absorb as well. These have
nearly one hundred percent utilization. They support the neurotransmitter production, collagen,
connective tissues, stabilizing the blood, focus, so many things. So
with supplementation, you want to be very careful with where
you're getting them from. I did a test. I've ordered

something from Amazon and something from the actual company. The
labels were a little off. The gummies. Yes, I ordered gummies.
They tasted differently. Guys, don't buy your supplements from Amazon.
I love Amazon, Unfortunately they're at my doorstep almost every day.

(16:35):
I no longer buy my supplements. They could, if it's
the right company, could be on the shelf for years,
they have no quality control, and if it isn't the
right company, it's fraud and you don't know what you're
getting a lot of supplements for children are in gummy
form or edible chewable form, and they have added sugars,
dies and fillers that can backfire cause more issues with

(16:59):
your liver. Your liver's got to deal with everything that
goes in the mouth, right, so you want to make
sure that you are being very careful with what fillers
that are other ingredients are in there to sweeten it
and make it so that your child can use it. Okay,
the top supplements that are no brainers for every child,

(17:20):
that's what we're going to go through, and then we're
going to talk about some that are optional depending on
your child's health. Number one is iidine acceleradine idine. Iodine
deficiency lies at the heart of many of the modern
children issues. Fatigue, stunted growth, protein metabolism, sluggish metabolism, learning

(17:41):
difficuilt difficulties, mood instabilities. You need iodine. Acceleradineidine is the
only iodine that is monoatomic, which means it's one molecule
of iodine ready to attach to every cell. In the body,
not just the thyroid in the brain, every cell and

it is paired with organic two hundred proof alcohol. Why
is that important Because if it's paired with glycerine, if
it's paired with a cheaper alcohol, that is going to
slow down the absorption of every cell. You need it
for that cell membrane, the health of the cell, to
allow the nutrients into the cells and the toxins out.

You can't let toxins out of the cells without a
healthy cell membrane. And that cell membrane is made up
of iodine and fat, good fats like a phosphatidyl coalin fat.

with turning on apoptosis. Apoptosis is the destruction of disease cells,
but it's also the renewing of new cells. When does
that happen the most When you're a fetus and during
puberty you go through more of that changeover than ever,

That certain things that have been in our environment since

people think, oh, energy comes from iron. You need your iron.
Most of us have way too much iron in our bodies.

an emic all my life. My daughter, I could not
get her off the couch to go on her bike.
She had no energy. She was anemic. That girl is
