Speaker 1 (00:00):
Mario on with Mario Lopez Deebra.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Mario Lopez joining me now on Zoom from Dancing with
the Stars in the Lifetime movie Hunting Housewives. Kim Johnson Herzevik,
Welcome to the show.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Thanks Mario.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Oh my gosh, it's been gosh, what fifteen years? Wow?

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Very good, very good memory. It has been fifteen years,
almost sixteen. So that's why it's always nice to see you.
And I'm glad to see you. You're doing well and
actually found love on the show in the show of course,
Dancing with the Stars. That is great. How long have
you been married now? And have you guys been together.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
We're going on our eight year wedding anniversary this July,
which I cannot believe.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Congratulate eight years.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
We have six year old twins while they're almost six.
That is awesome. I know, like you just never know
where you're going to meet someone.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
No yet, you never know. He's a cool dude too.
If you remember, please give him my best. That's great.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
I will. I will actually in his office right now,
get away from the kids.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Yeah, now, I get that.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
I know that.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Congrats on the movie, Thank you. It looks like a
drama with some moments of a comedy. What's the premise?

Speaker 1 (01:13):
So, I mean, it's the craziest premise.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Our husbands, you know, send us on the Ultimate Girls' Weekend.
Well that's what we think, but it turns out very,
very different, and we end up getting ourselves.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
In this situation.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
We're stuck out in the wilderness and we have to
try and survive for our lives, really survive the elements
and try and get out of there.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
And our husbands are Yeah, they're not what they seem.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Oh, where'd y'all shoot that?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
We shot it in Canada. We were with my husband
and we were living in Canada.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
We're actually just moving now, but we've been based in
Canada for the last five.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Years, is that right?

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Yeah? And this production company is up there, and yeah,
they produced the movie and it was amazing. It was
not far from where I live.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
It was great in Vancouver area or normal in Toronto?

Speaker 2 (02:10):
In Toronto? Is he from there or why can Yeah?
Oh he's from there. Okay, Well that that makes sense.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
That makes sense.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Your co stars Nini Leaks Denise Richards. That seems like
a fun, ecllectic group right there. Do you have fun together?

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Right?

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (02:24):
My gosh, we had the best time.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
I mean, I know both of them from Dancing with
the Stars as well, so we already had an instant connection.
You know what it's like when you do Dancing with
the Stars. It is you know, such a family and
or you have this common thing, you know. So we
got along great, and I shot a lot more with Denise,

(02:46):
but Nini plays my best friend in the movie, so
we had a lot of flashbacks together.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
How did you how'd you like acting? Is this something
you've always want to do? You want to get more
to it?

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Yeah, I mean I've always been interested in it, and
I've always loved more so in musical theater.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
That's what I trained in when I was younger, but
then bore them.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Dancing sort of took over, and you know, I forgot
about the rest. But yes, since having my kids and
I can't dance forever. My body just you know, you
know what it's like. So this has been a really
great sort of pivot. And I did a few little
things up north for this production company, and then this

(03:31):
one came about, which was, you know, a bigger role,
and it was great.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
I really enjoyed doing it.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
It's obviously very different to dancing, sure, but yeah, I
really enjoyed it.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
I was very rehearsed. I think that's the dancer in me.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
And I sort of had to just let that go
because Coach was like, don't get too married to the
lines because they're.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Probably going to change, which they did, you know. But
it was great. It was really fun just being there,
being present and been creative in a very different way.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
No, absolutely. Speaking of dancing, do you keep up with
it at all? Or is there is there certain pro
dancers that you still stay in touch with that are
on the show?

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (04:11):
I mean, I gosh, when we went back and did
this tribute for languod Men, they had a lot of
the originals come back, and that was amazing because I
hadn't seen Editor or Ana Trouvinskaya.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
I just love saying her name, or Karna for ages.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
So it was really nice to actually get back and
see them and I when we've all sort of gone off
and done other things and we have families now, like
the ogs, you know, Cheryl I speak to you know,
we still message each other occasionally, but it's not like
we see each other that often because we're all in
different states. But we definitely. When we see each other,

(04:50):
it's like nothing has you know, changed?

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Yeah, you know which is this?

Speaker 3 (04:53):
That is?

Speaker 2 (04:54):
No, that's the best right there. You mentioned your kids older.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
They again, they're twenty six at the end of the mone.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
They're turning six and what are the end to Oh
my gosh.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
They're into everything. We're trying to have them do a
bit of everything.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Like my son plays soccer, then he he does singing,
he's learning piano, they're swimming, and my daughter she's she's
actually a really great dancer and acrobat she's doing acrobatics.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
She loves just flipping.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Everywhere, and so they're very theatrical. But we're just trying
them out, you know, with everything, just to see what
they actually gravitate to.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Sure, expose them advice. That's that's awesome. It's so much fun. Yeah,
I noticed you were posting a lot of skiing picks
on ig.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
I'm not a skier, but I've married into skiing because
my husband is a great skier.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
I think you have to got it, got it, you.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Know, he grew up doing it. I didn't coming from Australia.
I mean, we have some ski hills industry but it's not.
It wasn't what my family did. We were more at
the beach.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
So I Toronto.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Sure, yeah, and I think learning that when you're older,
it's a lot more terrifying, and I'm just afraid for so.
My kids are amazing, they're great, Robert's great. But I
don't want to be left behind. So I'm trying, like
I'm getting out there with them.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Yeah, well you're athletic. Oh that's awesome to hear. It
is so nice catching up with you. Congratulations on the
movie and on everything you've got going on. And listen,
you can watch Hunting Housewives on Lifetime. Kim, thanks for
hanging out.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Thanks so much, Mario, was so good to see you.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
You too, all right, take care of bye bye
