(00:00):
Hello, and welcome to Race DoayNation. I'm Robbed Tomiko alongside Michelle Rayhall.
Happy fourth of July. What agreat holiday for US Americans. If
you're not, I'm hoping you appreciatethe holiday on what's going on very important
here in the States. The showis presented by Rhino Dot CEO. It's
Rhino dot Co and you can findit. It's an online classified for cars,

(00:23):
racing equipment, race cars, exoticcars, classic cars. It's all
there. Check them out. It'sRyno dot CEO. Michelle. Welcome to
the show and hope you had agreat Fourth of July weekend. I did.
I actually did have a great weekendand got to see one of the
best Formula races I think that I'veever seen. And what really pleases me

(00:47):
is now we've got three manufacturers thatare actually competitive, and that means at
least six cars. You know, gone is the domination of one manufacturer.
This is an any he might beable to win type of situation as they
continue to develop these cars as bestthey can. It was, it had

(01:07):
it all, It had rained,It had a poor zoo gun you on
the start of the race. Imean that was a frightening crash where he
tipped into Russell and then up onhis head puss the gravel on his head,

(01:29):
hits the top, tips over intothe retaining We could see the people
scattering and running and then he's trappedbetween the retaining wall and it was a
very scary moment. We're all gladto see that, which is actually pronounced
zooke on you, but nonetheless zooworks fine. Glad to see he was

(01:53):
okay and he walked away, butthat was just precautionary. Yeah, it's
fine. It's a very scary moment, no doubt. Started that race ended
up with a red flag. Wedid have some great racing going on this
weekend with the F one Race Cup, guys that Rode America, Xfinity him
So was racing in Canada. Youhad the IndyCar guys racing at mid Ohio,

(02:17):
you had the SRX. So we'regonna get into all that, but
right now I want to say congratulationsto Carlos Saints because he got his first
victory. Man, what a cooldeal for this guy. And listen,
he did it on his own rightlike there were some team orders really where
he said, you know what,I'm gonna do this on my own.
But then he gave up the positionto Charles Leclair's teammate. But when he

(02:38):
came back and after all the pitstops, guess what happens. He's got
a fast car and he's able toget some stuff done and he said,
you know what, screw you guys, I'm going for this. He did.
He went completely rogue on him andjust went for it. And I
don't blame the guy one bit.Ferrari doesn't care. Ferrari doesn't give a
damn who wins the race. Aslong as they're in a Ferrari, that's

(03:00):
what counts to them. But youknow, they came back with an excuse
that they didn't want a double stackon the pitting, and that's why Leclair
ended up on the hard old tiresand that Signs got, you know,
the new tires. Whatever the case, I'm happy for Carlos Signs. He
deserves it. He's finally got hisfeet under him. He's come to grips

(03:21):
with his new car, and Ithink that he will be a force to
be reckoned with in the next fewas the season goes along. That's what
I think. Well, i'll giveyou the rundown. One of the results
the top ten. Carlo Sin says, we mentioned in that Ferrari getting the
top spot of the podium and SergioPerez in the Red Bull in the second
spot. Third was Lewis Hamilton inthe Mercedes at his home race there.

(03:44):
Congratulations to him, well done. There was some great battles going on all
throughout this field, That's what wasawesome about this. Charles Leclair was fourth,
Fernando Alonso fifth, Lando Nor's six, Max for Stappin who had some
trouble late in the race, MickMick Schumacher with the Hoss guys eighth,
Sebastian Bettle ninth, and Kevin Magnussonanother Hoss car in the points. Their

(04:08):
congratulations to those guys an American teamwhich was pretty cool to see. But
great battles all throughout the field,I thought, again, like you mentioned,
one of the best F one racesof the season so far. Yeah,
and congratulations Schumacher. He got areal lesson being Coppin who was hamsung

(04:29):
by picking up Charlote Leclair's wing andthat you know that that dampered him.
That was that damage of performance ofthe car. But at least Mick Schumacher
got to race against a really reallygenerationally magnificent driver and ver stopping. Let's
hope that just transfers onto the nextfew races, because once you get it,

(04:51):
you get it. Yeah. I'vejust found that to be true.
Yeah, so real quick? Doesthat help him with the team because there's
been questions. Listen, he's wreckinga lot of cars. This is help
him state his case and stay onthis team to move up and do some
things. In F one rob itwas critical. Yeah, I mean,
Steiner laid out the directive, buddy, you gotta score some points or your

(05:15):
seats in jeopardy. So he did. He got the battle ver shop and
that means that he turned he learneda lot by doing literally complained that very
stopping was in his way. That'spriceless. That is priceless. That's great.
All right, let's take a lookat points right now, Max Verstapping

(05:36):
still on top of the points inthe battle for the driver's standings. Anyways,
it one eighty one, Sergio Perez'steammate one one forty seven Charles Leclair,
Carlos Saints, and then the teammatesof George Russell and Lewis Hamilton.
Then you have the McLaren with LandoNorris, Valter Y Botas is sitting there,
Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso round outto top ten and points right now

(05:59):
in that series. The one thingI wish they would do is tighten up
these points a little bit so wecan have a little bit more battles because,
like you said, really the driversnot so much. I mean,
that's the big thing that we allchase, but the manufacturers and those guys,
that's what they're really wanting, youknow. That's there, that's their
bread and butter right there. Yeah, it depends on the team. Ferrari
is the number one team for Wedon't give a crap who wins as long

(06:23):
as you're in a Ferrari period.Ferrari is a religion in Italy among the
Tifosi. That's that. And youknow, if if you don't believe,
if you don't believe that, theyI mean they could care less. I
mean, they made excuses for whathappened in their strategy, but then they
do seem to keep stepping on theirfeet. But nonetheless, I'm so happy

(06:46):
for Carlos Sons. He deserved itthrough for him because when you won win
one time, you'll learn and you'lllearn how to win and that little bit
all the difference. Oh yeah, there's no doubt about that. All right,
we're gonna take a break here,we're gonna come back. We're gonna
talk about the NASCAR Exfinity race atRoad America, So we got that coming

(07:09):
up on there. And also don'tforget to check out our website race day
Nation dot com where you can seeall these details, check out all the
different shows that we have because wehave other podcasts as well on there,
news from other series all right thereat your fingertips, so check it out
again. It's Race day Nation dotCom from Michelle Rayham, Rob Demiko.
We'll be back right after this. It's race Day Nation. Welcome back to

(07:33):

at their website Rhino dot co.Don't forget that classifieds, classic cars,
exotic cars, racing parts, youname it, it's all right there.
Plus they have the Racers Support Tourtwo point zero that they're doing and giving
away free money to these local racers, which is really cool. So check

(07:56):
those guys out. I'm Rob Demikoalongside Michelle Rayhall Ray stay nation dot com
is our website, and he's pointing, were you pointing out your crowsfeed?
I don't know what you were doingthere was it? Man, that's feet.
That's been going on for a longtime. I hear you, brother,
I got him to Yeah, they'retalent, all right. We were

(08:18):
talking about before we went to breakabout the feet, that's right, we
were talking about the Exfinity Series goingto um Road America. Great road racing.
I love road racing. You knowthat if you've ever listened to our
show decades ago with Race Day onFox, that's one thing we always talked
about, give us more more roadracing in NASCAR, and we finally got

(08:39):
there. And now it's trickled downto the Exfinity Series, which is really
nice. I love watching it.But it was the nineteen year old Ty
Gibbs who won the thirteenth Daniel Henryone eighty his eighth career victory and it
was his fourth victory and top ten, So congratulations to him. The kid
definitely deserved it back where he needsto be because remember, this is a

(09:01):
kid who's been causing I don't wantto see causing trouble, but kind of
getting for being very aggressive out thereand going after these wins. Now he's
kind of in that position where he'shoping to gain some of that back.
Do we know how many road races. I don't think he's won any road
races. No. I mean that'swhere you learn. I mean, you

(09:22):
know, if you're gonna learn, that is the age that you need to
start taking your cues and to wina road race at Road America. I've
been around that track several times. That's not an easy track to have to
learn on. But he did.And you know, hats off to the
kid. Can only grow from therebecause road racing teaches you. And not

(09:45):
only did he win, but healso battled Kyle Lawson, who came down
to the series to race in theexpunity that's right, And he got out
of the car and said, uh, I hope I gained some respect here
because you know, he did doit clean, he beat him, fare
and s where it was awesome towatch. So here's the results from that
race. Like I was mentioning,it was Thie Gibbs, Kyle Larson,

(10:05):
Josh Berry, Austin Hill, BrandonJones, a J. Almendinger, These
guys, AJ Almendinger, great roadracer, Kyle Larson sitting there, you're
in set in seventh place. Yourbuddy Riley Herbs sitting there. Uh.
Noah Gregson was eighth, Jeremy Clemensninth, Ryan Ce tenth. So congratulations.

(10:28):
You know, just shows that youcan level the playing field a little
bit when you're doing these road racesstuff. And I really like it because
it also changes up the points alittle bit and get some guys that are
not Norm. You're still laughing aboutthe Herbs. I'm laughing because thank you
God that there werenced. You're likeNorm Crosby of the radio world. Hey

(10:50):
give me a name and I canscrew it up, no doubt about that.
So let's look at the points.A j Almandinger with six undred and
thirty four tie Gibbs moved up.He's only nine points back now, and
I think this is going to bethe battle for that championship with the tie
Gibbs and a j Olmendinger. Justinall guy are Noah Gregson, Josh Berry,
Brandon Jones, Sam Mayor, AustinHill, Riley Herbs, and Daniel

(11:13):
Hemrick round out to top ten andpoints and real quick, I want to
make you just love that man, four kids? Hilarious. Man, what
can I tell you? All right? Commented at all costs? Who gives
a damn? That's right? Thehuman condition? I mean, who am

(11:37):
I to laugh in anybody's name?Michelle? I mean everybody thinks that one's
a riot? Yeah, hey, real quick making talking about things that are
funny some of the things that werenot funny. We're Sagecerm and Noah Gregson.
Those two got into it on track. Noah literally drives his car right
right into him and said, Sagearound wrecking. They wrecked about I don't

(11:58):
know. I think it was likethirteen cars that were involved in that one.
So that little heated battle between twoguys ended up taking out a lot
of cars, which, if I'ma team owner, that's pissing me off.
Right. It's one thing if you'rewrecking someone and nothing else and you've
got a clear track and nobody elseis involved. But the moment that you

(12:20):
take out other cars, you knowthat that's just that's inexcusable. That's one
of those things where the team I'mlooking at you, going, you know,
you rotten little faster. They Well, I will say this. Even
Sage came out and says, youknow, talking about Noah, Noah walks
around here like he's the big shotin town. Everybody you know talks about

(12:43):
Noah this, Noah that. Butthe guy's attitude seems to be little off
and maybe not. You know, you need to back it down a little
bit. I'm all for characters, listen, I love characters. I think
there was a thing I saw onsocial media about talking about in a new
Cup series. Everybody starts asking who'sthe biggest character. Everybody says Kyle Bush,
including Kyle Bush. He knows it. But he also knows when Hey,

(13:05):
if I did something wrong, I'mgonna own not to it. I'm
gonna say, hey, man,but these two they went at it.
One stage says hey, he waswrecking me all day when didn't need to
be uh, And then Noah wassaying, hey, he was getting into
me. I just paid him back. But you know that payback costs a
lot of people some money. That'swhat happens when you put fenders on these
cars. Dude. I mean, you know, I've done a couple of

(13:28):
I've done a few, uh Sedanstyle races with Nissan and Honda, and
it's like, okay, I'm bumpedthis dude. Now, I don't you
know, I don't have open wheels, I'm not the car, and you
do it. I ran some guyoff in the first turn it wrote at
lant and it was like, youknow, I'm laughing, going all the

(13:52):
way back up up through the timesthat he gave him a good doctor evil
on the way by. Bastard hitme on the caution lap. What is
that? Yeah, you know, banging into me on the caution lap.
Okay, go past me, seewhat happens, and I'll let him buy.
What turn was it? Attribution? What turn was it? At road

(14:13):
Atlanta? One turn one? Soyou sent him right off the straight o
after I leaned right into him andshoved him right into the damn tire wall.
All right, So, Michelle Rahls, one of those problems we've we've
talked about on this show before, the hot headed, egotistic I did it

(14:33):
very craftily. That's right y.All right, we're gonna take a break
here. When we talk we comeback, we're gonna talk some road racing,
because now we're going to imps atthe Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, so
we'll go head up there and talkabout the imps. Guys, see who
won. It's all coming up nextright here on Race Day Nation. Welcome

(14:56):
back to Race the Nation. I'mrobbed to me go alongside Michelle Rahald forget
check us out on our website racestay Nation dot com. You can find
our social outlets as well as Michelle's. You can find on there, plus
get the latest news and rumors fromsome of the other websites that we pull
in through RSS feeds to make itsimple for you. Guys. You got
Racer Magazine, you got Motorsport,Toby Christy dot com just the name a

(15:18):
few, Plus you can get thepodcast and all that stuff right there as
well. The show is presented byRhino dot CEO. That's co. By
the way, don't go to dotcom, it's dot co. So Rhino
dot co. You're gonna get theclassified for cars, classic cars, exotic
cars, race cars, parts, all that great stuff. And I know
Michelle, you and I are bothlooking for Porsches, so that's one of

(15:41):
the places I'm gonna go and startlooking for these cars. Before us,
I'm trying to find a deal ona Cfours I can modify myself and I
think that Rhino dot Co is theplace to be. All right, DN,
real quick, you know when wewere talking about Insa coming into this
road racing up in Canada, butyou wanted to talk about the pilot races
real quick. Yeah. Robert Wickensback to back in the tars, brilliant

(16:07):
job. I mean, this guy. I don't think anybody ever wrote him
off, but they didn't understand whatthe extent of his injuries were. And
again, thank god, they's finalinjuries for sure. He can stand for
about twenty seconds gus feeling below thewaist. Good for the ladies, thank
god. And the guy can drivethe hell out of a car. And

(16:29):
he and Wilkins won back to backhere, So congratulations to Wickens. It's
just wonderful to see the guy back. It really is, There's no doubt
about that. So let's run downthrough the series here, because we had
four classes running. You had DPI, LMP three, the GT Pro or
GTD Pro and GTD So we'll startwith the DPI guys. And it was

(16:51):
the O one I'm sorry, yeah, the old one. Cadillac racing with
Renders Zenda Vander Vanda Sanders Cinda Vander. I love saying that guy's name.
Uh. And then you had alsoSebastian board A. Congratulations getting the top
spot there on that podium. Butthe Accura for Meyer Shank was there also

(17:12):
the other Cadillac for well Welling Engineering. So congratulations to all those guys getting
the victory and well deserved. Imean, it was one of those sprint
races for these guys, so afun little race up in Canada. You
had the LMP three guys. Youhad u Core Autosport with Bennette and Colin

(17:33):
Brown, so congratulations to them gettingthe top spot in their LMP three,
which is really cool, great lookingcars by the way. But I'm still
a guy who likes those sports cars. Man, if y'all can get into
them in real life, I loveseeing them on the track. So you
had them fast, man, I'mdoing I'm digging them. I'm digging them,

(17:56):
you know. I'm digging the newstyle of GTD which it will become
another that's a GTP and that's forthat's next year prototypes. And you just
mentioned LMP three or the different LMPthree and l two LMP two faster car,

(18:19):
but it's not it's not an easiercar to drive. The LP three's
are harder still breaks. They don'thave the traction control in the same way
that the LMP two cars do,and they don't have the carbon fiber breaks
the LMP two cars do those stopon a dime the you know steel brakes

(18:41):
when you're using them in LMP three, it taches you how to modulate the
breaking. I'm hoping LMP three growsyour series so these guys can move up.
All right, let's take a lookat the GTD Pro. I'm sorry,
I think this is the pro onehere. Let's see. I don't

(19:02):
seem to have it unfortunately. Ohthat sucks, but it was the fat
guys here in the Porsche. Congratulationsto those guys they won. I was
hoping to have the graphics there foryou, but I don't. But in
GTD the Aston Martin, congratulations tothose guys of d Angelis and Martin getting
to win there in their Aston MartinAgain, cool looking cars. To me,

(19:22):
these are the types of things Ilike to see out on the track,
racing side by side, fender defender. It's just because I know,
you know, these are things thatguys can get into and do the same
thing. And that's what GT DPRO and AM is four. So these
guys, these amateurs can get inthere and do And when we see amateurs,
they're not really amateurs. I meanthey got some skills behind the wheel.

(19:44):
Some are. But if we didn'thave them, they're called gentleman drivers,
you wouldn't have him. I mean, true, truly a fundit so
in that they have those levels. What's really gonna besanc for me? Is
it? Next year you're gonna havethe new GT three R from Portia,
which just look deadly vehicle. Itjust what you're showing there is the new

(20:10):
nine sixty three the LMPH program, and that one is a Pinskey That is
a factory car. I expect greatthings from them, but also from Cadillac,
which has taken a completely different aerotack. It looks like Cadillac.
It looks like something back to thefuture. I mean it just really that's

(20:33):
a stunning car. I am justI'm really looking forward to seeing how that
runs. They're gonna have their handsfull with Penskey. He does nothing halfway.
And the new nine sixty three isa beautiful and functional car. Yeah,
So I look forward to it allright, we're gonna take a break
here. When we come back,we're gonna talk Cup racing again, more

(20:56):
road racing at road America. Sostick around for Michelle Rayal. I'm robbed
Amiko. This is Race Day Nation. Welcome back to This is raced Nation
Robdimiko alongside Michelle Rayhall. This showis presented by Rhino dot c O.
Don't forget they also have the RacerSupport Tour two point zero going on right
now. But check out all thedetails at Rhino dot COO. All right.

(21:19):
You can also check us out onour website, race day Nation dot
com. Hey Michelle, where canthey find you online? Now? They
can find me at Michelle Rayhall onFacebook and that is m I t h
E l E r A h Al And you won't have any trouble find
in that name on Facebook. OnInstagram, it's at Michelle Rayhall m I
c h E l E and thenumber nine. All right, you can

(21:44):
find me at Rob Demiko. It'sro op d a m Ico on pretty
much everything. So just remember howto spell the name. R O B
d A m I c O.I got my name right. I'm just
glad. Yeah, I'm glad yougot your name right. All right,
let's go to Row to America. What the Cup guys, and congratulations goes
out to Tyler Reddick Man. Whata great job his first career win in

(22:06):
the Cup Series, and we'll deservedman with RCR that team just spectacular right
now. But what that does, though, is it gives him now the
kind of the now that he's inthe playoffs. His teammate Austin Dillon now
sitting on the outside going, youknow, now, I need to start
performing here. This kid's starting todo some things and I need to get

(22:29):
on it. By the way,I don't know if you saw it,
they were promoting the hell out ofit the New Austin Dillon Show on USA.
It's kind of a reality show. It's almost like I do like it.
Okay, it's but it has alittle bit like the Chris Lei's kind
of rama to it, you knowwhat I mean. It's just plenty of
room because the Chrislies aren't gonna bethere for a while. But I did

(22:52):
love. What I did love aboutit is the like the back end of
being on pit road and showing thedrama on track and the things behind the
scenes. That you don't see onregular television, almost like what F one
has with the drive to survive. And I think that's what NASCAR's missing.
What are your thoughts on that.I think the same thing, you know,

(23:15):
IndyCar. All of these groups havegot to be able to reach out
to millennials, to gen y,all the new people that are coming in,
and you can you know, actuallyyou can thank Formula one for helping
that out. Obviously the products areall different, but you know, they
all have their unique features. Andyou were just talking about Austin Dillon show.

(23:37):
Well, I thought was funny, was you know if they're sitting there
having dinner with four, you know, with two couples. Dylan's like,
well, how come you're not. We've prepared all this food and it's sitting
the plates sitting in front of him. You're eating tuna out of a bag.
And he said, well, Ijust wanted to make sure the ambiance
was there, and I mean,it's just different things. It didn't look

(24:00):
scripted. It looked funny, andyou know, entertainment, let's not kid
ourselves. We're in a sport, whether it's open wheel, closed wheels,
front cars, whatever, it's entertainmentfirst and foremost. It's a sport,
no doubt, but it's entertainment andif you don't have the eyeballs, you
don't have the cash king period.Well it was Tyler Reddick. I don't

(24:26):
want to take the win away fromhim. Congratulations getting to win there.
Tyler Reddick on top Chase Ellide again, a guy going to Victory Lane for
the first time, beating out oneof the best guys in road racing right
now, Chase Elliott, and thenbehind him Kyle Larson. Then a guy
we've been talking about with the trackHouse Racing is Ross Chastain and his teammate
Daniel Suarez all in the top five. There. Great run for those guys,

(24:49):
and I'm so impressed with what theguys over track House Race got going
on. And I'll be honest withyou, I've been trying to get these
guys on the show, so I'vebeen working with Daniel Swarez. I'm also
trying to get Ross Chats name. But these guys at track House Racing really
have something cool going on and Iwant to make sure that we recognize that
and talk about that. Sixth placewas Chris Buscher Austin Cindric, another great

(25:12):
road resist racer, another one MichaelMcDowell, a j almendinger, and then
the veteran there rounding out the topten was Kevin Harwick. So congratulations to
Kevin there making it into top ten. It's not a win, but listen,
he needs all the help he canget right now, you know,
I mean, it's it's the newguard. I mean, it's the old

(25:32):
guard leaving and the new kids comingon the block. But you gotta hand
it to Reddick. He played itreally smart. He stayed up front all
day, he managed his tires,he managed his equipment. Lap fifteen,
he goes for the lead and hetakes it and he keeps it. And
listen, he beat Carl Larson, you know, and Larson can road race,
Larson can sprint car race, hecan cup car race. It's not

(25:56):
much call Larson can't do. Sofor Reddick to take that win and it
being his first CA, hats offto the kid. Yeah, no doubt
about that. So let's take alook at the points real quick. And
for the points we have right now, it's Chase Elliott on top still with
six hundred and twenty four points.Ryan Blaney is third, with a thirty
three points back. Ross Chastain,Kyle Larson, Joey Logano, Kyle Bush,

(26:22):
Martin Truex Junior, Christopher Bell,Alex Bowman, and William Byron round
out the top ten in regular seasonpoints right now. Next week when you
join us, we'll break down alittle bit more of the playoff situation coming
in because there's less and less room. I think there's only three spots now
that are up for grabs because allthe people who have won so far this

(26:45):
season. So that's gonna get prettyinteresting with the Cup guys and they head
to Atlanta. Where Atlanta, Hey, real quick, I want to talk
about that because we have a friendhere in Atlanta who's gonna doing some work
with us, and I want togive him some love. Yeah, he's
an emerging artist out of Atlanta withthe Atlanta art scene. His name is
Reed Benson, and I gotta tellyou this guy is I think going to

(27:08):
be one of the one of thegreat abstract artists that we see coming out
of Atlanta. And there've been anumber of them. So if you want
to find him, it's at ReidAbstract r E. D Abstract on him.
Go there, look at his products. Look what he's painting. It's
magnificent. I mean, he's andI'm lucky that I am going to be

(27:33):
collecting his art. I feel privileged. I've had some great art in the
past, but this guy is comingout and I think he's gonna be one
of the one of the people thatreally emerge and stay on top. Yeah,
I want to give him. Thatpiece on the right is one of
the ones I think you're working ongetting. I'm gonna I'm gonna do a

(27:55):
guitar with the guy and he becausehe paints guitars as well, and you
know my collection of guitars, Ihave quite a few, So I'm gonna
have him do one of those. We'll put it back here on the set
and give him some love. It'llbe awesome. But you can again find
them where it was our eed abstracton Instagram, so check that out right.
And we do have a couple ofjust so everybody knows, we've got
a couple of pieces coming that aregoing to be a little smaller, but

(28:18):
they're gonna go behind us so thatyou'll be able to see Reid's art.
And I just you know, Ican't say enough. I'm Officionado Junior.
Just learning, but I know whatI like, and this guy's work I
think is brilliant. So house Reidgetting it into the prison library there so

(28:38):
he can get one behind you onedamn big cake brother. All Right,
we're gonna take a break file whenwe Yeah, exactly, we're gonna take
a break come back. We're gonnaget a little down and dirty with the
guys over at the SRX series,so stick around for that. It's Race
the Nation, Welcome back. Thisis Race Day Nation alongside Michelle Rayhall.

(29:04):
I'm Rob Demiko. See us onour website at race day Nation dot com.
Also follow me on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, uh, super plus
bonanza. You know, I don'tknow what all us man, You're always
evolving. But it's at Rob Demiko, r O B D A m Ico.

(29:26):
Michelle. Where can they find you? They can find me at Michelle
ray Hall on Facebook, which ism I C H E L E R
A h A L. Not toomany of us on there, so it
should be an easy fine Instagram allright, Hall, m I C H
g L e h A L andthe number nine. All right, we'll

(29:48):
check that out. S r XUM congratulations goes out to Ryan Newman,
man, congrats man, great winon his part. What I thought was
cool at the end I got tosee a little bit of the video.
He got his two girls, hisdaughters, and brought them up stood him
on top of the car with him, you know, in the victory celebration.
I thought that was neat because thelast time we remember seeing Ryan Newman

(30:10):
is walking out of that hospital withhis two daughters on each arm after that
terrible crash at Daytona. So gladto see he's okay, back behind the
wheel doing his thing, loving racing. And you got to give props to
Tony Stewart for bringing the guy onboard into the series and being able to
give him that opportunity to race.Great great on him. You know,
I'll just say this just because itneeds to be said, Our hats off

(30:34):
to Ryan Newman. Here he is, He's showing his daughters is what a
father should be. He's putting hisdaughters up on a pedestal and showing them
how they should be treated by men. And I think that's a very important
thing in today's society. Girls needa father, Boys need a father for

(31:00):
damn sure, but girls in particular, they need to see what real men
like, what real men should belike, and then they make better choices
in life, real men. RyanNewman sitting on top, congratulations to him,
Marco Andretti, second, Paul Tracy, Tony Stewart, Bobby Lebanni,

(31:22):
Hailey, Degan, Ryan Hunter,Ray, Matt, I think it's Matt
Hirsch Herschean. Justin Marsh may bea local guy. Is he a dirt
racer? Is he a local guys? Is a local guy? Yeah?
Yeah? And then you have JustinMarks and then Greg Biffle rounding out the
top ten in the series, andthey put on a great fight. I
think one of the comments on YouTubeon our YouTube channel, because you can

(31:45):
also watch this on YouTube, andwe always ask for comments, so please
give us your comments. But oneof the comments that were made were that
it was like watching WWE in theroundy round world of racing, which is
kind of the way it is.It is, I mean, that is
the way it is. I will, at least I will be our show

(32:07):
onto a channel that i've I've hadfor the drug and uh a lot of
I've had, you know, eleventhirteen million views and eleven thousand subscribers.
I'm gonna dedicate that channel to youand I and from now on that's what
people are going to see. SoI want to push people to that as

(32:28):
well. All Right, all right, we're gonna take a break. Coming
up, we're gonna talk about theIndyCar Series at mid Ohio. Some great
racing there and teammates pissed off ateach other. Oh go figure. It's
all coming up right here on RaceDay Nation. Welcome back to This is

(32:50):
Race the Nation. I'm robbed Timikoalongside Michelle ray Hall. You can find
us at our website raced Nation dotcom. Also, the show is presented
by Rhino dot COO. That's oh, Rhino dot co where you can find
classified for cars, classic cars, exotic cars, race cars, anything cars,
even the parts. You can findall at Rhino dot CEO. All
right, we were talking about IndyCar. Yeah, he's looking for us.

(33:14):
I'm actually looking for Porsche as well, and I'll explain that coming up
here. What are you trying toget? I just want to know about
what you want. Yeah, allright, we'll get into that here in
a second. But I want totalk about Indiecar because Indy Car were mentioning
the last segment about teammates being pissedoff, a lot of action on track.
Congratulations goes to Scott McLoughlin and gettingthe win at midd Ohio. And

(33:36):
if you're looking at the picture rightnow on the screen, that's his mom
and dad in the background. Now, first time they've got to come here
and check him out and he getsto win. Gotta be a special moment
for that kid. And congratulations tohim because well deserved. I mean,
it was a really tough race.A lot of guys beating and banging out
there, and these are open wheelsand we were talking about Fenders Series being

(33:57):
able to bump some people. Theseguys were going out and most of them
run the Andretti Autosport team and Ican't believe on Tuesday morning when they have
their drivers meeting, that is goingto be an all out brawl. I
wish they had cameras in that room. The drivers meeting within Andretti group has

(34:19):
probably already taken place, and Imean, the blank will hit the fan
guarantee. The worst sin you cancommit is take your team right now.
Well, this was a multiple intermuralfight, and you just don't do that.
Colton heard a you know, heundersteered up into Colton is raced in

(34:43):
Europe. Even Lando Norris, whodrives for McLaren sings his praise as it
says he belongs in F one.So Colton heard us a great driver.
But all of these guys on thesame team, they really really need to
get the damn memo. I canassure you that Andretti will give them that
memo because he's making they're making Andrettilook bad his bid for Formula one that

(35:07):
they're good and he favors. Yeah, and I hope, you know,
we haven't heard anything on that frontin quite some time. So I think
the longer it goes, man,I think the worst is gonna get.
So I'm hoping something is happening wherewe can have some type of Andretti over
in F one and doing that team. That would be I'm not holding my

(35:28):
breath, brother, because yeah,Mercedes, Ferrari, Toto Wolf and Benotto
and the and Horner, those guysare trying. It's just the way it
is. They try to keep usout. They try to keep Americans out.
They didn't get to do it withGene Hoss because he had to deal
with Ferrari, and thank god theydid. But it can be worked out.

(35:50):
It could be worked out if theFIA would get off of their ass
and work at it, because thisthis sport is growing exponentially in the United
States and an Andretti name on thescene just makes it even better, no
doubt. All Right, So let'slook at the top ten finishing order and
the results for the race at midOhio yesterday in the Indiecar Series. I

(36:15):
mentioned it, Scott McLoughlin getting thewin, Alex Polo second. I thought
that was going to be a greatrace between those guys, but you know,
Scott just had the lead. WillPower was there, Rena's VK,
Scott Dixon, Marcus Ericson, JosephNewgarden, Eleo Castroneves, David Malucas is
a rookie and a new guy inthe scene, so kind of cool to

(36:37):
see him in that top ten,and Simon Pachnow rounding out your top ten
in the results so points, MarcusEricson is on top of three and twenty
one, will Power second with threeoh one, Joseph Newgarden, Alex Polo
Pado Award, which he wasn't evenin the top ten, and I thought
that kid was gonna have an opportunity. Scott Dixon, Scott McLoughlin, alex

(37:00):
New Rossi, and I gotta tellyou, with Alexander Rossi, there real
quick Simon Paschino and Colton heard arounding out your top ten. But with
Alexander Rossie, he was a littlehot headed yesterday. He was very aggressive,
even with teammates. And I getRomayne Grosjean sometimes is a real pain
in the ass and a thorn ineveryone's side over there, and some people

(37:20):
don't like him. He's very cocky. He you know, he's direct cars
in F one. He's very veryaggressive, and some people don't get that.
But it adds a nice say costthe Alonzo a world championship. He
really did. All Alonso had todo is finish one particular race. He'd
have been a three time world champion, and all of a sudden, here

(37:45):
goes Jean flop of Alonzo's Ferrari costhim a world championship. He's right,
Yeah, he's very aggressive in IndyCar as well, and a lot of
people don't like especially his teammates. And that's where we were getting at.
Is this this he's gotta you know, he's got to learn his place first.

(38:06):
Right. Okay, it's great tobe aggressive, but listen, you're
not going to be in a ridemuch longer if you can keep continuing to
do that. You just can't.You gotta perform and get to the front
and hopefully you're fighting for those podiumfinishes and things like that. All right,
we're gonna take a break here. When we come back, we're gonna
talk a little about F one. We're gonna talk about the Andretti situation.
We're gonna talk a little bit abouttelevision and some of the different things and

(38:30):
some of the series coming up.That's all coming up next right here on
Race Day Nation. Welcome back toRace Day Nation. I'm Rob Tamiko alongside
Michelle Rahaol. Michelle, welcome backto the show. Oh I scared him.
You can't do that to old guys. Man. You can find us
on our website race day Nation dotcom, or you can go to our

(38:52):
sponsors website Rhino dot CEO. Appreciatethose guys coming on board. Show them
some love because they do have theirracer Support Tour two point er going on
right now, where they're giving outmoney to local teams drivers, all that
great tracks even some great stuff there. So check them out online again.
R Y n O dot c O. All right in this segment, what

(39:15):
portion do you want quickly? Oh? So for me, I'm looking for
a mid two thousand, you know, nine to eleven. I don't want
the convertible or I would like Iwould like a Cayman. You can get
a good ass, you can pumpthose up and they have suspension pieces that
you can replace. That's what Iwant for me. I just took a

(39:37):
just acquired a car club here inAtlanta. If you're in Atlanta, I
just took about an eighty member carclub. I'm pretty excited about it because
we're going to do some special things. You'll see some news come out on
some of the websites for US raceda Nation. I also have Cooks and
Cards dot com, which is coolone for me and the UH with the

(40:00):
I'll mention the name when we geteverything situated and when we start accepting some
new members. But if you ifyou're in the Atlanta area and have an
exotic car, classic car, thingslike that, I love for you to
be a part of the car club. Stick around it's Race Donation. I'm
Rob Demiko. That's Michelle Rayall.Welcome back to Race Donation. I'm Rob

(40:22):
Demiko. The show is presented byRhino dot coo. Check them out online.
They have their racer support toward twopoint zero and they also have the
classified section with the cars, racecars, classic cars, exotic cars,
parts, all that great stuff inone spot. Rhino dot coo. You
can check us out on Race Daynationdot com. I'm Rob Demiko alongside Michelle

(40:44):
Rayhall and coming up this week righthere in my backyard, Atlanta got the
Cup. Guys come into that newtrack, the higher banks, faster running
around that place. So pretty excitingrace. It's they put on a good
show earlier in the year and they'recoming back for a second, which is
pretty cool for Atlanta because they haven'thad that. Hopefully the crowd shows up.

(41:04):
My concern is it's been hot ashell here and I'm not sure they're
going to show up in this heat. But we'll have to see how that
plays out with the new track andthe excitement behind that, so that'll be
what's That's my concern here is thatyes it's a new track, Yes it
put on a great race earlier. But it's hot as hell right now here,
and it's real. It's really ridiculouslyhot. It is down in Florida.

(41:27):
I can trust me. It isAfrica hot right here. So it's
it's brutal, there's no doubt. That's why they make air conditioning. So
screw it all. Well, notin those race cars, so they and
not in those stands either. Itgets that's the worst part is the stand
all right. I want to makemention about another guy in Atlanta here,
one of our artist friends here, and gave him a little love on the

(41:51):
show earlier. I wanted to doit again because listen, it's a great
guys doing some pieces for us,and you know I appreciate that. Yeah,
his name is Read Benson. Youcan find him on Instagram at Read
Abstract r Eed Abstract, and Iencourage you to take a look at this
guy's art. He has hundreds ofpieces. He's an emerging artist and this

(42:17):
guy is gonna be I think, one of the greats I really do.
All right, So that pretty muchwraps up the show here, Michelle.
Another great show in the books, and don't yet. You can find us
streaming on television as well through Zumo, Plex Local, now TCL, all
those great channels with America. I'msorry Racing America so you can check that

(42:40):

don't forget you can find us allour information at race day nation dot com.
