(01:04):

L and Ray Hall r A hA L. There aren't too many of
us. There's very few of uson Facebook with that exact name. You'll
you'll see mine on Instagram. It'sat Michelle Ray Hall m I C H
E L E r A h AL. And as always the miss apportioned.

(01:30):
Who knows how the hell it happened? Number nine comes right after my
name. Why don't know? Wewill get to the bottom of this.
Oh no, my lawyers. I'mgonna have lawyers, lawyers after them,
all right, musk by them.Yeah, that's right, all right.

(01:52):
You can find me online as well. It's at Rob Demiko. It's R
O B D A M I CO and all right. So we're gonna
start with Indy Car. Here agreat race. Listen, they had weather.
They went from rain tires, theSLINKs spect rain tires. It made
for a great race, right, that's what we like to see it did
I just don't understand, and I'mstill trying to figure this out. Why

(02:13):
you know they're they're full wets.They run full wets. I haven't.
I didn't see any intermediate tires meand change, and I think if I'm
not mistaken, the softest tire they'vegot, actually the softest tire that any
of the series have, our raintires. If you run on drive,
they just start to chunk away. But what rain does is it takes a

(02:36):
driver who's maybe an ill equipment orill handling equipment, and it lets them
showcase their ability. I mean, that's how Senna showed how fast he was.
It's it's how max Ver Stoppings showedhow fast he was in Formula One.
It rained and they got to thefront. So when it rains,
it's like an equalizer. And that'swhat we saw yesterday, and we saw

(03:00):
who can handle a car like that? And they're difficult cars to drive.
Even the F one drivers know it. Difficult cars to drive. But Colin
Hurda, who maybe up for anF one seat, he shown he really
did. He took that car,he handled it well, his strategy was

(03:21):
good. But moving through the rain, especially in intermittent conditions, is difficult.
Yeah, very difficult. But Ican guarantee you all the F one
teams watched that race. Yeah,I am with you on that one,
especially with Colton with the name runningaround with the Andrettie deal government coming to
the F one all that stuff, which we'll get into here in a minute,

(03:43):
because this is a indiecar slash Fone kind of an open wheel segment
that we're going to do here today. But I will say I had the
opportunity to actually racing the rain fora little bit as well when I did
the Mustang Challenge, and I foundit very difficult because you know, it's
supposed to level the playing field ata little bit. But literally it was
my first race. I never hadrain tires on a car like that,
always had the slicks. And whenthey put him on that, you know,

(04:05):
they told me when the weather startedto dry out, they said,
hey, find any puddle, Yeah, get on, run through any puddle
you can find, you know, all that great stuff and try to keep
those tires cool. And I didn'tunderstand what that was. So very interesting
stuff there, So let me getinto that real quick here with the IndyCar
results. We got to Colton Hurdon Top, Simon Passional will Power,

(04:28):
Marcus Ericson Connor Daily, Felix Rosenquestto Kumo Sato and here's the name for
you. I'm gonna throw out herethat I don't know I did a little
research on him. It's Cullum Isletor eye Lot. I don't know how
he pronounces this last name, butit's a British driver who is with a

(04:48):
reserve driver for Alpha Romeo and Fone and was runner up in twenty twenty
as the Formula two champ was MickSchumacher. He was second place. So
a guy, young guy trying tocome in. I think he's twenty three
years old, but he is inindy car and it obviously showed his talent
when it started to rain in adifficult car for these guys. Uh.

(05:11):
And then you had a Christian uhlong guard ninth and Scott Dixon running out
the top ten. And again no, he was not right now now And
this is where I was just aboutto make mention. You see some of
these guys in the flipping of thenames that are up at the top now
a little changing the guard there.Even Uh Graham's having some issues um this

(05:35):
year. Uh. You know,Wan got crashed out late, but I
will say Wan was able to Itwas pretty amazing what he was able to
do because he started way in theback and worked his way up. And
yeah, his talent is unreal. It doesn't matter the car. This is
what I like to see. Yeah, absolutely, and I understand why.

(05:59):
Um I think he clipped the wall. It wasn't a nobody took him out.
He just didn't put the wall, you know. You it's it's not
hard to lose the car in therain, you know, even with the
excellent rain tires that they do have. But I've actually raced my first one
of my first experiences was with fullwets. Uh was it Charlotte. It

(06:20):
snowed and when it melted there werepuddles and you couldn't on the banks.
You know, when you got upunder the banks, there's no dry line,
there's no wet line. So thosetires just started chunking away. So
yeah, they will fall apart. When you say chunking apart, that's absolutely
what they do, guys, piecesof tread yopping over your head. Yeah,

(06:46):
I mean, you know, butit was it's it's tough, you
know, but you got to findthat the puddles or the wet track to
be able to keep the tires cool. That's the point. That was the
whole thing with me. I'm like, you want me to run through the
wet parts. I was like,I'm I'm like, please let me get
out of this stuff. Because Iwas so new to the game. I
was so wried about crashing the car. Really was what's that? I said,

(07:10):
that's a baptism for you. Yeah? Absolutely. I mean your first
race was in the rain. Yeah, my first pro race. It was
a wet practice in Atlantics, andthen it was a street course and a
standing start, you know. Soit's like, I'm sure you acquitted yourself.
Well, I know you're a reallygood driver, but I know it
was different. I know what youwere strange, strange feeling, you know,

(07:34):
the whole car is under you.Oh yeah, it was. I
was so nice he catch you though. I don't have a huge budget,
right, and I'm thinking, I'mc yeah, this is it. I
just bought me a Mustang. Butas soon as you start thinking that way,
that's usually when you do crash. That's correct, and that's what I

(07:54):
found. It was bad. Andwe were talking about that in another show,
where emotion gets into your head andthat's a bad thing. It's a
really bad thing. And I willsay this, not having a budget and
knowing that in the back of myhead that if I crash a car.
You don't put your full effort init. You just don't because you're too
nervous. No, And that wasthe same thing I went through with the
Atlantics in the first race street race, first in and start, no practice

(08:20):
other than the forty five minutes,And it was like, you know,
if you let fear creep in,Yeah, if you let fear creep in,
you're dude. Yeah, So youjust gotta go and get it done.
You gotta go ahead and be aggressiveand do what you do, and
if it rains, you do everythingyou normally do. You just do it
a hell of a lot slower, knowing that you may have to drive offline

(08:43):
to keep guitars cool. Yeah,I definitely crap my pants a lot slower.
It was. Yeah. I gotout and I was like, yeah,
all right, let's take a lookat the points real quick. In
Indy car willpower on top. Now. The points leader been very consistent all

(09:03):
year long. But that guy,you know, obviously he's there, He's
waiting to get the victory lane.Alex Below, Scott McLaughlin, Joseph Newgarden,
Scott Dixon, Colton hurda Paddle Award, Marcus Ericson, Romain Grossian and
nas VK round out your top tenin points in IndyCar. Going back to

(09:24):
last week in the F one race, a great race. I thought,
hey man, this was a spectacular, yeah, showcase for F one here
in the US. We talked aboutTV ratings in our last show, but
this one NASCAR and F one goingup right up against each other pretty much,

(09:45):
you know, NASCAR having a littlelonger race and being able to get
some of those eyeballs after the race. But you know, NASCAR didn't really
beat it out by that much. And it was the most watched F one
race ever in America. Yeah, and it's just gonna grow, and I'm
okay with that. I'm good withthat. A lot of complaints about Miami.
Even the guy that you know designedthe whole track, he said he

(10:07):
was just totally embarrassed by all thecomments from the drivers. Well you know,
wait a minute, you know theseguys, all the tracks out there
that are brand new have problems whenyou first start. Now, what are
they going to be able to dowith that chicane? I don't know,
that was probably the worst, butthe track coming up during the race and
you know, chipping away in somecertain spots. You know, that's it's

(10:31):
not acceptable in Formula one, butfor a first race, it's expected.
You're racing drivers. You're at thetop of the entire world of motorsports in
terms of ability. Most of them, you know, not the ones that
are you know, paying and havethe rich, incredibly rich fathers, but
most of them stop whining. Racethe damn car. You know, race

(10:56):
yet, Race you bitching isn't changinganything save it after the race, when
you can sit in the room, roundtable the whole thing. Hey, the
track was dirty, this was goingon, this came up, you know,
things like that, we got towiden this corner, whatever it is.
You can talk about those to makeit better after the race. Nothing
is going to change while you're inthat car with that moment on. No,

(11:16):
because I thought, frankly, Ithought verstopping and Leclair put on a
beautiful performance of letting everyone else knowhow damn good the two of them are.
Because right now they're the class ofthe field by a long shot.
I wouldn't rule Hamilton out. Icertainly wouldn't rule George Russell out. If

(11:37):
they can sort out that Mercedes. Now they've they've said they're bringing huge updates
to Spain, which is this comingweekend. It can only be one or
two things. Either they've reconfigured thes sidepods and the flooring, or they've
reconfigured the floor one of the two. Because remember in these cars their ground

(11:58):
effects, so there's an up sweepunderneath the car that sucks the car to
the track. That's right. Onceit does, it hits the bottom and
bounces back up. So that's whatthat porpoising thing is. Beyond that,
let's see what, uh you know, Hamilton has to Hamilton and Russell have
to offer. Hamilton is probably screamingbloody murder right now because Russell's beating him.

(12:24):
His young teammate is beating him becauseand I think, I think mentally,
U Hamilton, you know, sohe runs in most cases the guy
with the yellow bar, the yellowyou know, the stripes and all that
stuff. But the little TV thingup at the top, when that's yellow,
that usually means the second driver. In this case, Lewis, you

(12:48):
know, says hey, I'm thenumber one driver, but I keep this
because it matches my helmet. Anduh, I think mentally he knows I'm
not the number one driver here andI'm not going to be in a couple
of years, so let me kindof transitionist into you know, I'm it's
matching my helmet, I'm colored, you know, coding everything, and I

(13:09):
cry a little bs on that.I think he knows, said, hey,
there's a changing of that guard rightthere, and he admitted he hasn't
lost anything. But he's one ofthose drivers that has to be in a
perfect car and he's been delivered fromday one of entry into F one.
Great cars. Yeah, absolutely, really competitive cars. Now they didn't win

(13:31):
every race, they didn't win everychampionship with McLaren, but you know,
once they went to the hybrid era, it was Katie Barr game over.
You know, he had the bestcar. He was a clear number one.
He did have some trouble with Rossbergas time went on, but even
Rossberg said, you know, thissteal is stacked in Lewis Hamilton's favor,

(13:54):
which is part of the fallout fromAlonzo being at McLaren originally with Hamilton as
a team mate. Real quick,I want to run down the results,
so we're getting tight on time herein Miami. It was Max for Stappin.
Obviously with the win their congratulations tohim. I thought Charles Leclair was
going to be able to get himthere at the end, but just didn't

(14:15):
have enough to get it done. And I don't think even with extra laps
he would have pulled that one off. Carlo Sants, Sergio Perez, George
Russell again in front of Lewis Hamilton, which I spent spellt Lewis's name wrong.
That's no different than they call himSir Lulu and then h Esteban Ocon,

(14:35):
Alexander Albon and U Lance Stroll roundingout your top ten there, what's
a dude for points? Charles Claireis still on top of one hundred and
four points max gaining with eighty fivesurgery as George Russell up there, which
is pretty amazing right now because weknow those cars are not up to speed
as of right now, but youcan see the top ten there, even

(14:56):
a Hoss car with fifteen points there. Congratulations to those guys being able to
get on the board and still stayin the top ten, so it is
pretty impressive. In Spain is thisweekend Catalunia is this weekend the Spanish Grand
Prix, and it looks to meas if that's going to benefit Red Bull
in their straight line speed. Buteverybody's bringing updates. I mean, you

(15:18):
know, Mercedes and Ferrari are bothbelieve they believe that Red Bull is reaching
its limits on spending to be ableto update. Uh. I think that
Christian Horner thought that through, andthe updates that they have coming probably minor,

(15:41):
but significant when you're at those speeds, every every update is significant if
it works all right? Uh,real quick, I want to make mention
about some of the news and rumorsthat are running around there. Michelle.
Yeah, I'll let you hit acouple of these, because one of them
has Andretti and which is a bigrumor, but there's also some other twists

(16:03):
to that before any of those cancome true. Yeah, that became the
big rumor that you know Andretta, that Audi wanted to pair with Andretti,
that they were gonna they'd make acommitment. But Alpine, Alpine, whatever
you want to make it, tomodel, whatever you want to call it,
they have the Renault. The chairmancame out and said, Nit,

(16:25):
you know we want to we youknow, we'll sign a deal with Andretti
and it will in de factoill becomesimilar to Ferrari Hawes because if you don't
know, folks, what Ferrari doesis shares the engine and drive train,
but also a lot of the componentsthat are allowed under the rules, like

(16:47):
suspension pieces and things like that.So everybody calls that car the Hawes cars,
Moby Dick and uh, it's asif it were just another a white
Ferrari and a you just like sayingthat, don't you. Yeah, man,
it just turns me on a mI think if Alpine, Alpine,

(17:11):
Alpine, if they do this,it gives Andretti a great entree and a
huge cadre of some sort of information. Because let's not kid ourselves. Yes,
the IP has to stay with themajor team. It can't really be
a B team, but we allknow that they are and that may be
the future of how privateers get inand get things done. So that's one

(17:36):
and the other is Vettle. Ifyou look at Vettle, Vettel is undergoing
some sort of a mental change, not for the bat, not for the
worst, but in a different direction. He's much more of an activist and
he's even I think he's even moremilitant than Lewis Hamilton is about some of
these things real quick. Did yousee him in Miami with theear Oh yeah,

(18:00):
that's his protest jewelry. I ain'ttaking this jewelry off. You know.
Look, we couldn't wear jewelry. That's been a rule for a time
immemorial. You don't wear anything becauseit's that's gonna heat up and burn you
right through. But plus, ifyou're wearing a bracelet or something, it

(18:22):
catches when they're trying to get youout of the car. So absolutely,
yeah, I mean shut up anddo what rules say? Is it good
for you, Lewis that you knowyou wanted the rules followed to the t
in uh in I think it wasin Abu Dhabi for the championship. But
you don't want to follow these rulesand when which rules apply, which don't?

(18:45):
The rules should apply. That's whatyou lall lobbied for from Total Wolf
all the way through Lewis and everybodyelse. After throwing a tantrum, if
you're gonna follow the rules, followthe damn rules. Somebody that but vette
Is Vettel may not make it.He may retire at the end of this

(19:06):
season, and with good reason.Lawrence strolls running that team. His team
principle is not really a team principle. This is a classic case of a
billionaire who takes over a team sohis son can drive, and now he
thinks he knows how to run anF one team because he's a great businessman.
Just doesn't happen. You got toreally know racing, You got to
really know it well. You gotto really be have your managerial skills in

(19:30):
racing to be able to do it. Money can only do so much.
But the replacement that he wants,he wants Alonzo Alonso. If Lawrence strolls
running that team, Alonso is acomplete idiot to take that deal. I
don't want him to see him doa Villeneuve. You know, Jacques Villeneuve

(19:51):
left the World Championship team to goto bar Honda because of money, and
what did they do? They fellflat on their face. I just don't
want to see Alonso do that.Alonso is famous for being able to help
teams rise. Yeah, but notwith somebody like Lawrence Stroll at the wheel.
And I'm not impugning Lawrence Stroll's personalityis you know, value system,

(20:15):
none of those things. I'm justsimply saying he is not equipped to run
a Formula One team full stop, all right, Hey, and I wouldn't
want to see that either, butI wanted to go because Alonso is better
than that, right. He knowshe can contribute to a team and rise
the team up. I will saythis, if you went back and looked

(20:37):
at um you were talking about Vettel. There was a couple of tweets made
about from Graham ray Hall saying, hey, if you ever wanted the opportunity,
you know, we could put youtogether a seat for the Indy five
hundred and do all this stuff. And then Bobby even said, hey,
it'd be a great idea. I'dlove to do it. I would like
to see something like that. Imean it's going to happen. I think

(20:59):
either at the end, you know, when he stops, I think he's
going to become very much the activistum. And that's just my sense.
I don't know him personally. Ijust know what I hear through my sources,
and I think that there are alot of there are a number of
these F one drivers like Ricardo,Daniel Ricardo, he said, no,

(21:19):
when I'm done, I'm done.I'm not I'm not going prototypes. I'm
not going IndyCar. I'm done. He'll probably spend ninety percent of his time
in the United States just raising helland having fun, and he deserves it.
Yeah. Absolutely. Hey also hitthe real quick the Red Bull and

(21:40):
Porsche deal, because that one isoctacular. Yeah. The beauty of that
is that Honda relinquished their IP,all their internet, you know, everything
intellectual. Hey, I'll help youonce in a while. It's okay,
I'm old, I can get awaywith it. I've got an excuse.
Get off of my lawn, yourlittle bastards. But you know, it's

(22:04):
a it's one of those things,Porsche, we're talking about, Porsche.
I just want to help you forreeling me back. Then you passard the
Porche deal. They've already got theintellectual property from Honda, but once they've
morphed it through the next couple ofyears, they've got a base. And

(22:25):
trust me, if Porsche's signing adeal with Red Bull, they're looking at
this already in place engine department andthey're using what they see because they know
there's an engine in there that wins. So they're going to use a lot
of what they what they have, but Porsche will be heavily involved heavily involved

(22:48):
in half ass. They don't.They want to come in to win.
I mean that's what they absolutely Galley'sass, that's what they want to do.
Their sister, I mean both ofthem, but they want to whoop
out his ass. It's in thefamily, It's exactly it, all right,
forget. You can check out someof the other shows that we had.

(23:10):
We did one with the Cup andrecap of the Kansas Race. You
