Welcome to the Brian Mud Show. It's the info you
need to start your day in the Bomb Beaches and
the Treasure Coast protecting the Palm Beaches. This is a

recognize those who paid the ultimate price and service, but
also to service a reminder of what our police risks
to keep us safe and Unfortunately, after progress was made

in reducing LEDs in twenty twenty three, we did not
sustain that progress last year. LEDs rose by seventeen percent
nationally in twenty twenty four, including five additional lds. Within
the state of Florida, a total of three hundred and
forty two officers were shot in the line of duty,
resulting in fifty deaths. That was also an eight percent
increase here every year. In total, we lost one hundred

and forty four heroes in the line of duty last year,
including eight in Florida. We have lost three heroes in
the line of duty so far this year, including these
heroes since the previous update. In Pennsylvania, Patrolman Andrew Duarte
was murdered while responding to an active shooter at the
hospital on arriving on the scene, the suspect, who had
taken hostages, began firing at officers, striking and killing Andrew.

The suspect was killed with return fire. Two other officers
and three members of the hospital staff were shot by
the suspect. All others are expected to recover from their injuries.
In Virginia, officers Cameron Gervin and Chris Reese were murdered
while conducting a traffic stop. The suspect was uncooperative with
law enforcement during the traffic stop, which prompted officers to

ask the suspect takes at the vehicle. Suspect then pulled
out a gun, shooting the officers, and then when they
were on the ground, executed them and fled. Officer Gervin
is survived by his expectant wife, and following the manhunt,
the suspect was found nearby with a self inflicted gunshot wound.

In Mississippi, Sergeant Martin Shields Junior murdered while responding to
a domestic disturbance. Bond arriving on the scene, suspect open
fire on responding officers, killing Sargeant Shields. The suspect found
with a self inflicted gunshot wound Martin survived by a
wife and daughter. And as we reflect on those we've lost,

please remember the families of our fallen as well. The
average age is thirty nine, the average tour of duty
is eleven years, and in additional losing thirteen law enforcement
professionals in the line of duty this year, there are
six widows and twelve children who've also lost a parent.
