Yeah, I've protected the Palm Beach's tribute to those who
serve and sacrifice, and we made great progress in twenty
twenty three, the lowest of the two thousands. We did
not sustain that success in reducing LEDs last year. They
rose by seventeen percent last year. In total, we lost
one hundred and forty four heroes in the line of duty,
eight in Florida. We have lost fifteen heroes in the

line of duty this year, including these heroes since the
previous update. In Minnesota, officer Felicia Riley died from injury
sustained from a brutal beating she suffered while responding to
a nine to one to one hang up call at
residence bon Arriving on the scene, she was invited into
the home by two elderly parents. However, their adult son
attacked her, leading to the deadly injuries. She survived by

her husband and five children. In New Jersey, detective Joseph
Ascona was murdered while conducting in the Vent destigation into
illegal weapons trafficking. While approaching a suspect for questioning, the
suspect open fire striking two officers, leading to the detective's death.
Responding officers arrested five juveniles, including a fourteen year old

who's been charged with murder. As we reflect on those
we've lost, please remember the families of our fallen as well.
The average age forty, average tour of duty eleven years,
an additional losing fifteen law enforcement professionals in the line
of duty this year, there are seven widows and seventeen
