(00:21):
for taking a look at some mot or orgistration updates
for key Florida counties. And speaking of voting, Rick Scott
tends to vote for the BBB when it comes back
around in the Senate. Have this to say yesterday, they
know that we've got to get to fiscal sanity.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
I want this bill to pass.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
I want to he'll President Trump get his agenda done. Yeah,
So as we take a look, the BBB will be
in focus in Congress the House today. The President going
to be meeting with House Republicans on the BBB as
it's in some very important moments now. In a matter
of four years, we saw what could happen in the
cate of Florida where between twenty twenty in last year,

(01:02):
the state went from being viewed as the ultimate swing
state to the ultimate red state. And so much of
that has been through voter registration changes. The Republican advantage
over Democrats stood at a record one and a quarter
million voters entering May. As they broke down for you
last week based on the latest reporting from the Florida

(01:22):
Division of Elections, the biggest changes that have happened within
the state have actually been within the biggest and traditional
blue counties and that has led to all kinds of
interesting outcomes. And as they take a look at some
of these developments over the past month, starting in Palm
Beach County, at the peak of the Democrat voter registration

(01:42):
advantage in the Palm Beaches, Democrats held a one hundred
thirty eight four hundred voter advantage. As of today, that
is down to thirty two thousand, six hundred and sixty seven.
Republicans have netted another four hundred and sixty eight voters
over the past month in the Palm Beaches. Duval County
this is where Jacksonville is. The Democrat advantage over Republicans

(02:05):
is now under ten thousand, two hundred, Republicans netting just
over one hundred voters in Duval, most recently Hillsborough, this
is quite the story. This is where Tampa is. Republicans
flipped it for the first time ever. In January, Republicans
netted another thirteen thousand, five hundred voters there. Last month,
the Republican lead in Hillsboro is now nearly seventeen thousand voters.

(02:27):
The one county that I track where Democrats actually made
up ground over the past month Indian River County. The
Republican advantage still a huge there, but Democrats did net
thirty voters In Indian River Martin County, Republicans added another
eighty five net voters. Miami Dade. This one really a
story to watch because it is tracking towards flipping the

(02:48):
largest county in the state. Democrats that lead there down
to just eighteen thousand voters. Republicans have netted another fifteen
hundred plus voters over the past month. And Aziola where
this is near Orange, near the central part of the state.
In Orlando, you have Democrats that currently will relead Republicans
by a fewer than nineteen thousand voters there now, as

(03:09):
Republicans made up over two hundred over the past month.
So the biggest storyline continues to be not so much.
Florida's red county is becoming redder, but the big blue
counties becoming far less blue and Brian.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
There is actually a story out this morning out of
Miami Dade saying it is the latest county to flip
from blue to red in what they call active voter registration.
Now that means voters who have cast ballots within the
past two general election cycles. This is according to Decision
Desk HQ, thirty four percent of voters registered Republicans, little

(03:45):
over thirty two percent Democrats. Again, these are active voter registrates. Yeah,
so it's going to be interesting.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
I mean, once we get these updates here incoming months,
you're probably going to see the net change, you know,
Dade flipp which would be I mean, really something else
in terms of storylines.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
All right, the Panthers, they are one series away from
the Stanley Cup Final. They face the Carolina Hurricanes on
the road tonight, game one of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Puck drops at eight pm.
