Speaker 1 (00:04):
Faith Freedom, Florida.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
This is the Brian Mud Show.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
It is, and we're joined by our White House correspondent
and resident troublemaker John Decker.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
John, Good morning, Good morning to you, Brian. I hope
you're doing well. Happy Friday to you.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Yes, and of course I jess but you you are
in I don't think anybody makes more news with the
President than you. And of course this part of an
exchange that was heard around the world a couple of
days ago. You know what, I really love that. I
love the inflation.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
You know why when the war is over.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Yeah, it's coming down. I know you can. It's gonna
come down like a rock. Your question was a good one,
and it was innocent enough about whether he's concerned about inflation,
and man, did that open up a whole can of
worms and and really create some significant insight as well?
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Well. It was just a simple question, you know, money.
Many of my questions to the President are just really
basic questions and they're open ended and I get good
answers from the President. That typically happens, and that is
a perfect example of that. I asked the President his
reaction to the latest numbers coming regarding the CPI inflation
at its highest level in three years, above four percent,
(01:16):
and that's when the President gave that answer in which
he said, I love the inflation. And of course Democrats
are running with that end, so they're going to be
playing that over and over again leading up to the
mid term elections. And as you know, every cable channel
probably replayed that at least a dozen times over the
course of that news.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Cycle, no doubt, John. The interesting thing about that is,
and I actually do understand his line of thinking, he
gave the soundbye that you mentioned will be used against
him and Republican's ad nauseum here the rest of the way.
But independent of that, if it does prove to be
the peak of inflation, they're with oil prices being considerably
lower than they were in gas prices that have been
(01:55):
considerably lower than they were during the month of May.
If that is the peak of inflation, the core rate
was two point nine, there is room if oil prices
stay down that that will be as high as inflation cads.
And if that's as bad as it gets, an iron
is solved, than maybe happy day. There are so many
ifs in all that, though, who the heck knows, But nevertheless,
(02:16):
the bigger news that came out of that, I thought
the inside that went down the whole train of thought
about why oil prices had been coming down, This whole
covert operation that apparently the government has been running, getting
a couple hundred ships where they were offloading evidently oil
from certain ships and getting them moved over to other
(02:37):
ships on the other side of Iran's blockade.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Well, that's right. The President disclosed that to me as
well in the answer, gave more information of it a
little bit later on social media, says that the US
through this process has managed to get out of Irun
one hundred plus million gallon barrels of oil. One hundred
million barrels of oil. So that's what the President has dd.
That's the reason why he has indicated that oil prices
(03:03):
have remained relatively in place after hitting highs around one
hundred and twenty dollars at Barrow several months ago.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
As it has been interesting throughout the course of the
Aranian conflict, we went from at one point about this
time yesterday, the President posted on truth Okay, we're going
to go take car guy on. I mean it's on,
this is happening to last night the President saying that
it's over that today we ended the Iran war, while
(03:38):
there's a lot in between there, and so what's going
on with Iran?
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Well, I think the President maybe, you know, putting the
cart before the horses. They say. Iran, you know, is
not necessarily on the same page as the President as
it relates to ending this war and reopening the straight
up for moves and ending its nuclear weapons program. And
that's really important that those are the goals that the
President set out back on February the twenty eighth when
(04:05):
this conflict began. I hope that the President is exactly
one hundred percent right when he says we are moving
towards the closure of everything associated with this war, and
that would happen imminently. But you know, as you know,
over the course of the past few months, there's been
disappointment when the President expresses this optimism. And then, as
(04:30):
you know, the President even used these words and I
mentioned them to him yesterday in the Oval Office about
essentially stringing the US along. That's what many believe Iran
has been doing since those negotiations began back in April.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
One thing that was interesting in Iran's response before the
happy news of a deal being struck or whatever. Yesterday
was that okay, well, now we're going to target Elon
Musk any of his business interests. This was reported by
Iran Stieg media are now fair game. That of course
in advance of today's record. I po for SpaceX, any
(05:05):
any idea what goes on there? Is it just posturing?
Speaker 2 (05:09):
I don't know. I can't get inside the head of
anyone in Iran. You know they're they're irrational. You know,
that's the reason why there hasn't been an end to
this wars, because the president you know, there's negotiating opponent,
adversary across the negotiating table. Is the way it is.
They're crazy, as the President puts it, So don't ask me, Brian,
please get inside the head of anybody that is speaking
(05:31):
on behalf of the Iranian government that is smart.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
One of the things often we'll put in front of
people is you're trying to rationalize the inherently irrational, or
as I had put it, with the the Iranian officials,
whoever is negotiating these days, if you can trust Islamic terrorists,
who can you trust?
Speaker 2 (05:51):
That's a good point. Look, the president has as you
know has talked about the Vice President being sent over
to Europe potentially as early as this weekend to sign
some sort of talking points, and hopefully that happens. In
the meantime, as you know, this weekend, it's a big
weekend for the President at the White House. We have
(06:11):
this UFC event on the south lawn of the White
House the President's birthday June the fourteenth, coinciding with that
UFC event. I'll be at that UFC event. I'll be
on the South lawn watching that, and I'm very fortunate
enough to be a part of the pool on Sunday
to take in that event.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
That should be interesting for sure. I look forward to
some of your governorship add and pictures too.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
You should, I'll send you pictures.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Yeah, go go ring side there.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Yeah, that's right, all right.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
I have a great one, John, appreciate it, all right,
