good morning, good morning. Now, the show is called Nina
Oyarma is coming. What at this time of the morning, Nina,
how much can you tell us about the show?

Speaker 2 (00:23):
It's called Nina Oyama is coming. Some people think that's
a very rude title because I'm coming to different cities
around Australia.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
That's how I took it.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Yeah, way anybody else I thinks it's a rude get
your minds out of the gut that said the show
is quite rude. So I'm guraging kids from coming. Please
if your child do not attend. Yeah, yeah, don't bring
your grandma. Let's see the cool grandma.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Probably the best. You don't go with your parents.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
Yeah, I want to come.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
It's awkward.

Speaker 5 (00:58):
I don't want to be there. That you said it's
going to be a bit. The kids will want to
be there. I need How much have you seen of Perth?
I believe there's not much.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
Not a real life in the airport.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
That's about it.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Inside.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
I don't worry don't rush out to don't give you.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
The warning not to get excited about.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
The time is limited.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
It's not yeah that was last time. This time I've
got like a whole week there.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Great, I possibly.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
Can like a local.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
It might be able to do the old corker selfie.
Get over to rotnestker selfie. Yeah, it's very it's very
Perth to we We've got a little island rotten style
and beautiful place with the native Quaker. Everyone likes to
get down on the ground because they smile, so it's very.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Famous to animal get a Quacker selfie.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
If you google google Couacker selfie, you'll see every Yeah,
and if the water all these famous people are getting
getting their selfies.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Roger Federer is still my favorite.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Oh there was a cure one that was a good.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
Yeah, and it's even worth the choppy seas on the
way back to Perth on the boat to give you
get the Quaker selfie.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
In now Nina.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
You started doing stand up very young, seventeen. How did
that go down? When you went home? You said, mom, Dad,
I know what I want to do.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
They were like, you're not the funny one. Your brother's
a funny hut well, he's not doing stand up comedy,
so maybe I'm the braver one.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
Yeah, what did your brother end up doing?

Speaker 2 (02:38):
He worked at McDonald's for a really long time. Nothing
wrong at my father, I was starting stand up.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Just really curious.

Speaker 5 (02:49):
I'd love your roll in Utopia and I know that
a lot of people talking about working with Rob sitching
that you're working dog team.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
How was that for you? Because they're just incredible talents.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
He is fantastic genius because he directs the show as well.
Like to be acting and writing and directing all on
the same set is incredible. So yeah, he's my hero.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yeah, Deadlock pleasese God, let there be another season of Deadlock.
I mean it's all set up to move to Darwin.
That was such a great show. How did you enjoy
working on that?

Speaker 5 (03:27):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (03:27):
I loved it. I had to move to Tasmania for
six months. It was incredible. It was like I've never
really worked on a big TV show that way, like
I've worked on Utopia's a really big show. But it's
also in an office. You sort of just rock up
to this office and you're in the office all day,
where Deadlock was like okay at four am, we're going
to the river and you have to run down there

(03:48):
in your wedding dress and look at dead bodies. Yeah,
like wow, that's that's a very different type of show. Yeah,
but it was incredible. It was and Tasmania is beautiful.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
The location was magnificent.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
It was good and we were all put in this hotel.
It was very funny. The show runner, Kate Kate McCartney said.
At the beginning it was like summer camp and by
the end it was like a woitmen's prison, but it
was like a women's with the best food and the
best views you've ever seen. It's like, there's so much
worse places to be stuck, I think in Tasmania and
we were with our families and our friends and we

(04:24):
were like, oh, just drinking, he's the best whiskey, and
the show being like, oh, my wives are so hard.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Poochers. Yeah, I love.

Speaker 5 (04:33):
What about doing Taskmasters? What was the first task? What
was the task that Tommy Gleason got you're doing, Lena, Oh.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
What was the first task?

Speaker 4 (04:41):
Do you remember?

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Somebody brought up I can't remember what the font. It was. Honestly,
such a long time ago, It's like a year ago.
I don't even remember, like time is a construct at
this point. I think my favorite task was do the
bravest possible thing with a remas paper. And I was
going through a break up at the time, and so
I wrote my heart is broken in big letters so

(05:03):
that they could have its own shot. At the time
I thought it was cringe, But now that I'm over
the breakup, I'm like, that's quite beautiful.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
You you've just done the Melbourne Comedy Festival. You're coming
here for the Perth Comedy Festival.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
What so?

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Sure?

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Because we had the closing night, I have had about
two hours sleep, But so what I'll be doing person
three weeks I'll be very well rescue?

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Yeah? Absolutely? What As a comedian, what is is the
ultimate goal?

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Is it?

Speaker 3 (05:35):
You know? Is it doing Edinburgh? Is it doing a
Netflix special?

Speaker 2 (05:40):
I honestly think the ultimate goal for a comedian is
just to be on a TV show. Yeah, I've already done,
so I think I've clocked that level. So I've been
I've been the boss and I'm the best stand up
comedian ever. I don't know. I think for me personally,
my goal was just to be on TV. I didn't

(06:00):
really think past that. I just love a chest really,
but I look Edinburgh is very hard. That's what I'll say.
Edinburgh Melbourne is hard, and I live in Atalia and
I have an audience here. Edinburgh is sort of like
starting from scratch again. Like I love comedy, but I
also love money unfortunately.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
Edinburgh living at home all the time.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
And I want to see you with Kitty on I'm
going to see you with Kitty flanning it on Fisk
because that's one of those cool shows as well.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Well, maybe I'll give her a call a regular role.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
You know, she keeps winning rewards and she can't believe it.
That's such a great one.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
It's such a great show. No, I will say, there's
a lot of great talent on this new season. I'm
one of my friends. Irby Majundo, who's also coming to
Person Comedy Festival is on this season, I believe, as
it was on last season. So I think it's a
really look. I've already done too much, you know, I've
got to I've got to step aside and let the young.

Speaker 5 (07:07):
Right.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
I'm like a horse ready to be taken to the
glue factory.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Well not yet, because we look forward to seeing you
here in May obviously after Friday May seventeen and Saturday
May eighteen, Nina.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
At the extra shows. Yes, so please buy tickets. All right,
there's going to be another show, so I've heard God,
maybe I should.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
That that's right because Nina likes comedy, but she likes
money as well.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
Yeah, well we all.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Tickets are through the Perthcomedy Festival dot com.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
