are lucky enough to work on radio and we thought
let's use our platform to shine a light on these
awesome small businesses in South Australia that need a little
bit of love.

We are great. You have a side hustle which is
so interesting. Tell us about the picnic tribe.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
We have created a little all in one side of
a business that you come and pay me, and I
thought everything out for you, So we organize the pnique
and you come and everything's all there for you, and
then you sit and enjoy and spend time with your
loved ones, and then you get to go and you

don't have any cleanup, you don't have anything at all.
It's all just us creating a beautiful experience and you guys,
so you get to spend some time with your loved ones.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Christy, I'm looking at the pictures here on the picnic
Tribe Instagram and it's just like every single cured meat
and fruit and everything nut wise and biscuit wise. What
do I get to choose my picnic here?

Speaker 3 (01:40):
You can choose whatever you're like, most definitely, so we
would create a beautiful experience. You rock up and you
have your rugs down, you have all of you, all
of your little platters, all of the seas included, all
the wines included. We even have a little tepee as well,
so we can set up a little tepee so you'll
be cold. We have fire pits and all of that

sort of thing as well.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Okay, this is so good. It's romantic. It's great for
girls weekends. But I love most about these side hustles
is quite often they start from a real story, and
the best businesses have a real story behind them. Why
did you start this, Gristy.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
I was going through a bit of an experience at work.
I was a practice manager for a little family fan
but I was going through a bit of bullying from
the management. I was singled out in yellner and ended
up I had my phone chat and I was told
that I didn't put a track on my phone, that

(02:39):
I was going to be not paid, and that I
was back. Yeah, it was pretty full on, so I
ended up having a bit of a breakdown. So I'm
not unlike yourself, Haley. When I heard your story, it
hit close to homes one, so I know exactly what
you went through. So we ended up going away for
a weekend up to Darlin and I met this beautiful

lady up there and she was doing picnics on the
beach and I was talking to her about it, and
she turned around to me she said, why don't you
do one in Adams that you're leading to the brother.
There's beautiful stuff there and I think something you were.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Meant to me this woman. You can tell when you
see a business or a brand that is really real
and brings actual joy and you can see that on
your Instagram, and what you do is you actually love it.
You're not doing it for the money, You're doing because
you love it.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
That's exactly right, Exactly what my favorite experience is when
you see the people rock up and it's a surprise.
We've done a few proposals as well, so we've done
some beautiful experience and then just to bring happiness to
people when it means that out of my experience, my
bad experience, I've been able to turn all that around
