But right now he's on his twenty first solo stand
up tour around the country and he's here at the
Adelaide fringe. Please put your hands together for the incredible.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Clap. Just just to add a bit of applause. Three
people clapping. It's just tragic. Just for a bit extra
in the mix.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
There.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
You know, you sit back and you see Edsherance touring
the country. Harry Styles is touring the country. I mean,
ever thought of donning a little secret number like Harry
does a jumps maybe?

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Yeah, that's that's what I need, you know what?

Speaker 3 (00:37):
You know what's missing?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
It what's missing at my gigs right it is a
delightful mix of of basically like teenage girls and then
moms pretending that they're there for the teenage girls. That's
what's That's what Oh no, no, I just she wanted
to cook, you know, just Yeah, My wife and eldest
daughter went to see the Styles boy in Melbourne and
they were highly complimentary.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
You know what I mean? Sorry, what's the word predatory? Yeah?
I mean, like, you know, it's just that people often
throwing underwear up on you up on the stage at
your gigs.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Yes, but usually it's a laundry order. They're asking me
to go to the local, the local laundry and get it.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Of course. Yeah, I mean Tom Jones.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
He was famous, was he got very Do you remember
Tom Jones used to get get the underwear thrown at him,
and then it became he became angry with it. You know,
it's fine, it's fine when you're a young lad like Styles,
but you know with Tom Jones it would land on
the stage, the niggers and all he's thinking and he
said is why.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
I know bending over the pickles. I can't do it,
not with my back. I'm a very warm man. Yeah, exactly, exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Wouldn't that be great if Styles just stopped off way
through his concert and just went, listen, these these niggers
on the stage. There's a health and safety night. There's
a brilliant there's a bit of footage. You've seen it,
but not that my that my wife and daughters just
sit there and watch Harry Styles videos.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
It's annoying me. I go, yeah, could he put a
shelf up?

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Though?

Speaker 3 (02:11):
I can't. I can't, But that's not the point.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Have you have you seen that one where somebody throws
a chicken nugget that it's magnificent.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
Chicken nugget.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
He's on stage and he goes, he stops, He goes,
did someone throw a.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Chicken nugget at me? Did somebody someone throw a chicken nugget?
And everyone's going to eat it? And he goes, I'm vegetating.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
It's just so good turning up to a Morrissey gig
with a big sausage. He's not interested anyway. I forgot
what the question was from. I've got on Harry Style.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
I like the.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Styles boy apparently turns in a very good it turns
in a great show.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
He wore a Banning's hat on Styles. Shut up, yeah,
someone through.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Right, start stop the clock?

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Right, here's the problem them right, So I have an
ongoing thing where like I don't know how much of
a fish Leonardo was of the Bonnings hat. You are right,
but Bonnings over the last couple of years has been
doing not just a hat, a range of hats.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Yeah right, yeah, cord Roy cat. We've got the cord
Roy cap in our house in the green with the
with the hammer.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Yeah. They did a black one. They did a lovely
black baseball cap with a sort of silver hammer on there.
Then this was you know that in the summer time
where they'll do the large brim, the broad brimmed hat.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Yeah, the straw hat, that's what he had.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
But this is a crazy thing that they did, which
was excited me when I saw it. Have you seen
the smaller Trilby style hat they did.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
I've got the fourth hat. It was a not just
a fourth hat they had.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
They did a beanie in the winter time in two
separate colors, red and gray in lay, and then the
lit is like a Trillby style one with a was
just a narrow brim.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
And I've bought every single one.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Of us hats, right, and you know what, right, And
this is because I'm away at the moment, right, I'm
I'm here for the full months doing and she was,
I've been in Perth for a month, right, so I
was only back for a little bit. And my missus right,
who claims to be a Styles fan, right, never told
me about this because she's constantly saying to me, can
you stop it with the bonning because I wear them.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Out all the time.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Now Styles has worn it, I'm going to be sure
we like exactly.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
All right, I stick around because we're going to get
you to help out Max burfet Out. We think he's
made a grave Gray mistake. He's getting married week afternoon.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
Was getting married next week.

Speaker 2 (04:45):

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
