you know that whole.

the Phillips side.

all across the streams. But what a litany of song,
some Beach Boys songs. I'm not the biggest Beach Boys
fan in the world. But I must admit, like surely
it's a credit.

They gave that beach sound because also the Beatles at
the time were huge, so the Beach Boys were just
before the Beatles.

But also they had their own niche, didn't They very
distinct niche.

And they didn't even serve their California guys, but they
weren't surfers. And then they came back in the nineties
with Kokomo, which that was from.

The movie Cocktail that was made big through that.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
I think the greatest Beach Boys song ever was God Only.

Knows when that was featured in.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Love actually Love actually coming back to the airport.

Yeah, yeah, beautiful people moving in and out, going back
their business, looking for love.

I think we should write a new page for the
Gerlmanac today. Well that's done. In nineteen sixty six, they
released what would be a diversion from their traditional surf sound,
the song God Only Knows, which was a diversion from
what they usually had, cars and surfing and all that junk.

We're in a loss for words right now. Please respect
our privacy at this time is our family is grieving,
as the musical world is grieving, and I think we
should put this on because, as Brian said at the time,
this connected with his spirituality and the first song in
the world to have God in the title.
