Speaker 1 (00:01):
And Amanda jam Nation.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
It was nice to hang with you socially on Friday night.
We don't do that as much anymore. Or this afternoon
in tonight.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Well we went to a fantastic charity and I'll tell
you about that in a minute. Well, actually it was
It's Dreams to Live, for an extraordinary charity that grants
wishes for adults with in the late stages of cancer.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
And it's make a Wish but for adult.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Yeah, incredible. And Peter Overton a big supporter of this charity.
He's on this for nine years. He'll interview someone of notes,
he's so good and this year he was interviewing most
Australia is probably most famous for Arion Tidmas. So as
we arrived, I met you there and you said have
you lost some weight? Because that outfit was used to
be a bit grippy on you and I said, I
bought it yesterday. So that's how our date began. Okay,

(00:49):
there we go in and there's Peter Overton with two
young women and you said, Peter, are these your two daughters?
And he said, this one's my daughter, this one's Arion Tipmas.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yeah. Well, you know, proportionally of right age is an
Aria on Tipmas A very impressive late.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Can I tell you she's in her twenties and she
is the most well spoken, thoughtful young woman. She is brilliant.
And I love anyone who says it's hard work, because
that's what she said, that you see the end result,
but how hard the work is. She was so intelligent.
I was so impressed with her. And this charity is
quite extraordinary. So they do grant wishes for people, and

(01:27):
it's the modesty of the requests that are just heartbreakingly overwhelming.
On the day you and I were sitting at a
table with a young man, Chris, and his wife Kaya.
Her request had been she was diagnosed with very late
stage cancer and wanted to be married before she died.
They had a young daughter together, so dreams to live

(01:49):
for put together a wedding, and so Chris was there,
he spoke so elatively, and Kaya's mum and sister were
there too, and just you look around the room of
all the people and people just who are there as
guests whose lives have been touched by hard things. I
remember a couple of years ago when we were there Brandan.
One of the requests was a woman who was on

(02:09):
the verge of passing away. She had two sons who
played rugby. She wanted a new washing machine because she
wanted her sons to be able to wash their jerseys.
And people want photo shoots, people want just family gatherings.
A lot of people want to go to Ularu as
a spiritual journey before they pass. It's an incredible charity.
It's called Dreams to Live For and you can donate.

(02:29):
You can make a dream come true any day, and
it's a great charity to be involved with.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
It's a dream working with you every day. Friend.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Thank you, Brendan. I appreciate it. And that was a
new suit.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Lawsuit and look good. And then when we left the
Terminus Hotel, isn't the Terminus Hotel.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Well, that's not where the event was. That's where we
wrapped Dalton House.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
And then he went home in the uber. And then
I was going across Darling Harbor and did you see
the size of the flag.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Policy I kept trying to so I'm going to change
you in front of a flag, but like I.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Care, like I care in Darling habits so good, and
so I ended up trying to text you, but I
ended up ringing Harley instead like he wants to talk
about it. We spoke for some time about the flagpole,
but he was concerned that, you know, because I was
wringing you, that maybe you'd got and got that neck tattoo.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
No, All was well, I just didn't want to talk
about a flagpole.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
It's a beautiful flagpole.
