Speaker 1 (00:01):
And Amanda Jamny.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Down to the jersey the matter of arms for the
pub test and today reading the menu before you go
to a restaurant.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Does this pass the pub test? So people do this,
I'm not that person for me. And also I wait
till everyone has ordered at the table, and I jump
in at the last minute with my last minute feelings.
You always call the guy on call him over with
the specials, the specials? Do you have any soup?

Speaker 4 (00:26):
And then he says, I'll go and check, and he
goes off, Yes, we've got soup.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Is it pumpkin? I'll go and check and he goes off,
comes back, has.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Got any broccoli in it?

Speaker 1 (00:37):
You know this could go on forever.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
You turn up and say, give me this. Make it snappy.
You have, I've actually been dining with you. Will you
finish your meal? I'm still eating. You've slammed the nest
and said I'm going home. I want to watch the Dome.
Said no one ever the Dome, and so you ste
you weren't even laughing. You slammed the table at this
restaurant and said I've got to go, I've got to
watch TV. I'm still eating.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
Well, it was only one episode.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
It was supposed to be anyway, Lots of people do
read the menu, check the menu before even going out
to the restaurant. For me, that's real is picking up
the menu going oh, what's on here? So how do
you feel reading the menu before you go to a restaurant?
Does it pass the pub test?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
But I've got kid some picky eat it in the family.
My mom doesn't like sort of foods. So I definitely
read the menu before I go if I can, if
I can access it, I look at the prices, and
I check out the list and the specials, because if
it ain't good, I ain't going.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Yes, it certainly does. Now I'm getting older, I'm a
bit picky on what for stuffing there that I fear
see you, Well, I'll go somewhere else, So I've got
to make sure I doesn't there the week before I go.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
It totally passes the PUB test. It's like the first
chapter of a good book. I'm going to say, it's
like food porn. You can literally read through the menu,
know what you want to get, and you get to
the restaurant, and then you're into chapter two, and things
like the service and the armbiance come into it. So
it totally passes the pubcast.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
See it's like porn, food porn. Yeah, I like food porn.
I'll read a cookbook. I don't have to do anything,
I don't have to look at it. It's but what
about when you read pornography.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Well, that's another kettle of fishes, a word

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
