No? According to the song by the Police, message in
a bottle? He puts it out there and then one
hundred thousand bottles washed up on the shore. So I
thought Sting was a big environmentalist, but clearly not. This
woman has been putting messages in bottles from her little
hometown there over in the UK, sends them out.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
What kind of messages?
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Just little messages looking for love and she's got her
address and all that sort of stuff.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Wow, that's dangerous.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
She's got received responses from as far as Holland and
France over the years, but she says mostly they've just
washed back up on the beach. So clearly she needs
a tie chart as well.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
What an interesting way to think she'll find a laugh
by this. Randomly, she might as well go into the
pub and say who wants a root? Because she's putting
a message in a bottle saying I'm up for it,
here's my address?
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Really, is this your go to method? Mc dundee in town?
Just look at for some words.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
It sounds romantic. I don't know what films she's seen that,
you know, living in a small coastal town and somebody says, yes,
your handwriting makes me think we're a perfect match.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Well, she got a nasty shock when one of the
letters came back. The letter came back in a box
like a package delivered to hers. It was a box
full of rocks.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Full of rocks.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Yeah, because it cost her nine dollars to accept. And
inside the box I said, please stop throwing rubbish in
the sea. It goes into Pemsby Bay or Norman's Bay.
One day later, Many thanks a rubbish picker.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
So this woman's just a So she thinks that she's
sending these things to exotic locals and someone's going to
fall in love with her. It's just going to the
next bay and washing up on the beach.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
She's just killing the climate. Maybe she should go with
your method. It's probably a sure fight.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Maybe environmentalists do not apply
