Tom Cruise accepted an honorary Oscar at the twenty twenty
five Governor's Awards, which were just held in Hollywood. The
award was presented by Mexican filmmaker Aleandrew Inertoo, who is
directing Cruise in an upcoming film set for release next year.
Cruise is nominated four times for an Oscar, but he's
never won. He accepted this award, paying tribute to the

people who make movies possible and reflected on the unifying
role of film worldwide.

I want to thank the Academy Board of Governors for
invading me this evening for this honor. You know, I
am truly grateful to have this moment. So it allows
me to acknowledge all the people who have helped me,
all the people that I have been fortunate enough to
create these films with, because every step of the way,
this the whole journey has been shared.
