A few US has attacked three nuclear sites inside around seven.
News correspondent Jacqueline Robson live from Tel Aviv. Right now,
it's after eleven pm. Good evening, Hi, how are you.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
I'm good. I'm a bit slate deprived and I'm okay.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
Oh you poor things.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
What's the latest on the ground.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
The latest on the ground is that Israeli's here are
just bracing for what's next. We heard that Iran plans
to retaliate, and they did this morning. There was a
barrage of missiles that came down around seven o'clock. There
was extensive building damage. We went to one of the
sites in northern Tel Aviv and spoke to some of
the residents there who were just picking through the rubble.

(00:37):
The destruction of that building was incredible. People's belongings just
falling out, and these people have nowhere to go, so
you know, they're deep in a deep sense of shock.
But the overwhelming feeling is that there's a lot of
support for Israel's attacks on Iran, and now that the
US has joined in, they feel hope that this existential

(01:00):
threat that they believe Iran is developing nuclear weapons, that
that might be eliminated now and they can move towards
a peaceful living. But of course, for now, it's the
fear of what kind of retaliation Iran has got coming.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
I think that's what everyone was concerned about, whether or
not there would be that peace. But I guess in
most situations there's always that before some sort of resolution
has come to. So let's hope that there isn't too
much of a fallout from this.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Yes, certainly, And you know, both the US and Israel
has now heightened its threat alert because of that fear
that something could happen. You know, the Supreme Leader of
Iran has threatened that there will be severe consequences, and
there is plenty of US troops stationed around the Middle East.

(01:49):
Whether or not Iran decides to attack there, whether it
is domestic terrorism in the United States or whether there
are further missile attacks here in Israel, each country has
now elevated the threat risk for their citizens as we
wait and see what happens next.
