Speaker 1 (00:00):
The one, the only. Amy Shepherd joins us. Good morning, Hello,
good morning. A lot of people don't know Marny, but
her name is Amy Stewart.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
That's a married name.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Yes, yes, knock on ward do it.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
But it's already it's already taken. So a Shepherd a
little more punch yer, I think.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
So last time we were talking to you, we were
talking about your country single that was pretty awesome. And
now you're going to be in the Logan Entertainment Center
this weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
That's going to be yeah, fantastic.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Yeah, I can't wait. It's only a couple of days
away now. So we're gearing up for a big show
out there.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Do you do some of your solo stuff when you
when you're on stage as well?

Speaker 3 (00:33):
No, not with Shepherd. We have kept it quite separate.
But down the track we have spoken about me being
the support act. So I have to like quickly go
and get changed or take off the hat and come
back out again.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Yes, there you go, support act, Amy Shepherd. So this
is your only Southeast Queensland show, which is coming up
on Saturday night. There's been a lot going on. I've
actually been watching you guys on the Socials because you've
just finished a European tour and actually did see your
brother who was not well over there. What happened? No,
you're just unwell on the road. Did he have a
flow or something? Poor thing? He was in the shower,
not looking great, saying this is this is what it is,

(01:06):
this is what it looks like. You know.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Yeah, I will say that I actually got sicker than
he did.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
But he had to post about it.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
It's the man, and everyone resigned me.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Oh, poor George, terrible he was on the shower.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
I'm the one who actually I would patient zero. Yeah,
so we were quite unwell, but luckily at different times
because we're both lead singers in the band, so we're
able to sort of sheds the vocal load. But yeah,
it's not ideal, and you're into it makes it so
much harder, Like touring is already grueling, but then when
you're stick, you just literally wondering how.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
You're going to get through the show, especially when you're
in front of people and you know that they're expecting
the best from.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
You, right exactly. Of course they've paid money and traveled
to be there, so yeah, we always want to put
out his foot forward. But yeah, we got through it,
and I think we did a pretty good job considering.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
And also something else that you're sharing on your socials
is your fertility journey and that and the struggles you're having.
I just want to say, you know, good on you
for talking about that, because it's not something that's an
easy process to go through. So I, yeah, no, I
had no idea, and when I saw you, I actually
went through only one round of iv if. I didn't
do it after that because it was harrowing enough for me.

(02:19):
But really, yeah, and I mean, you know what like is,
it's so hard. People just really don't understand unless you're
going through it.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
So yeah, no, that's right. It really can be really isolating,
which is part of the reason I wanted to share,
because I knew that there were people out there, but
I didn't know anybody, like none of my friends had
gone through it, so I just really wanted to reach
out to the community. And it's been really cathartic for
me as well to share.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Because how long have you been on that journey.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Now probably this is my third year. Oh my goodness,
the actual IBF probably here and a half.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Have everything crossed for you that your beautiful Little dream
Baby is not too far away. But this weekend we
need to be at Logan Entertainment Center. Of course, there's
food trucks and everything there. There's some special guests coming
along as well, so yeah, it should be a good night.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Yeah, we're really looking forward to playing some new stuff
and of course all the classics. So I think there's
still a few tickets left, so we'd love to be
down there.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Yeah, Logan Entertainment Center, that's where you find them. Shepherd Amy,
thank you so much, thank you, thank you so much.
