Joining us is the incredible artistic director of Cirk de
Silay spectacular upcoming Australian show, cordier O Laugh good morning, Hello,
good morning, joining us from Montreal, many in Canada.

That's a bit exciting. How beautiful evening right now for.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Us, So we're behind you guys a little bit.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Well, we're coming into our winter, so you'd be just
on the end of your winter over there, wouldn't it.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
We're full on summer has started here at thirty degrees
and it's.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
Beautiful here today.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Oh fabulous. Well, we can't wait to have you in
Australia with Cordio. Can you describe this show? Why is
it different to other circa salays.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
So the one particular thing about this show is that
we're dividing the arena into two different sections, So the
stage is really in the middle of the arena and
the audience are sitting on both sides of the stage,
which on one hand makes everybody much closer to the
stage and much closer to the action. And then we

give having a little bit the.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
Perspective to the audience of what it is like to
be on stage because you're constantly seeing the audience watching
us and right now, if you're in the audience, you
see us and behind us the other side of the arena.
The audience becomes part of the set design, so you
kind of also watch the audience watching the show, which
is a really nice little touch of playing with the

perspective of the performer on stage.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Oh yeah, fantastic, Almost like emerging yourself in the performance itself,
which is a wonderful different experience.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
It's a little bit like that.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
And there is even a moment in the show where
you immerge completely because one of our performers will.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
Be suspended by gigantic chilium balloons and she's actually gonna
fly over the audience that we need the help of
the audience pushing her feet to make her fly even
further into the crowd.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
So there is definitely moments where everybody will.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
Be immersed into the show.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
I've always dreamed of blowing up helium balloons and flying.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Yah, who hasn't had that dream as the.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Kids to hang on to a balloon and fly away,
And we're actually making it happen during the show.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Yeah, that's amazing. Well, I mean, your shows are always yes,
show stopping, and every single show I've seen most of
them is it's always out of this world. It takes
you to another place and I don't think anyone does
it just like you guys. So I know every time
you come to town, you do go over and above where
you were before and present something spectacular. We love it amazing.

We're definitely trying to always surprise the audience with each
new show that is coming around to make it completely different.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Are their Australian performance involved this time round?

Speaker 3 (02:44):
They are absolutely. We have an Australian artist who is
part of the Aerial Chandelier Act. It's four women who
swing high above the stage on three gigantic chandeliers. We
also have of the technicians.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
With us who work in the sound department and the
prop department, in the lighting department, so it's not just
on stage, it's also we have.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
A lot of health backstage as well.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yeah, well we count white. Thursday, the eighteenth of September
will be the first show at the Brisbane Entertainment Center.
