Speaker 1 (00:01):
Look, he'll be on Sunrise a little later this morning, money,
but he joins us now Osha Gunsberg, good morning, Hello, Oh.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Look, listen to the Dream Team on air for seventy
six years and never better feels. That's right.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Marty was just saying before we spoke, that's that you
trained her. He did in the radio department.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
But do you remember that one of.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Us still has a job. So I'm glad you're doing well.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
Yes, it was explaining that, yes, you taught me, which
back in the day it was very different to what
it is today. But you did, mate, And I guess
I'm still here and you're on the TV.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Who's teaching you to I'm getting taught. I'm getting taught
how to do stuff I have no idea how to
do and that's incredibly frustrating from a dance partner who's
a just a super champion, Austrawnian champ, like she's done
everything and I can't. When I've got a phone call
that this, I couldn't walk in a straight line because
of all the surgery and stuff I've had. So I
(01:02):
was like, all right, well, what's the worst it going
to happen? So then I started to try to dance
in a straight line. Well, the worst it can happen
is that I'm trying to dance this person teach me how.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
So out of the two of us, was I the
better student? How are you going? How are you faring?
Are you picking it up quickly?
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Or you well?
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Like I said, you're the one that's still on air,
So I think you're the better student than me. But
it was really interesting. Honestly, I was really excited to
be on the other side of the.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
Reality television equation because I'm basically my entire career has
been crushing the dreams of young, hopeful people, whether they
be dreams of singing stardom or dreams.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Of love, and my job is to go, I'm sorry,
I'm going to tell you in front of the nation
that what you wanted isn't going to happen. Now here's
a slow motion replay of how it didn't work. And
so to be on the other side of that, I
was like, well, how could I plant? How could I
how can I do the best thing that? Because on
the other side, you know what, I'm making the shows
(02:04):
like come on, really needs to make this make sense.
But when I hear it to be a hero, and
we want the people who don't make it wet to
really understand why they don't make it. And I want
to hear the judges say really cool stuff, so like,
you know, I know my part, I know my role.
It was good.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
Yeah, you're right, it's totally different for you. So it
would be awesome to want you to do that.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Well, I can't believe it's the twenty second season. Yeah,
that's that's unbelieva.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Gret Kraigs is back, isn't she?
Speaker 2 (02:30):
I believe the person who won the gold LOGI over me. Yes,
thank you for reminding me.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
It was great showing up to work every day as
I have some Yeah, is my LOGI nice at your house?
Speaker 1 (02:44):
It starts Sunday, Martin. And what have you learned so far?
You know, a couple of good moves.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Oh, I've learned that ballroom dancing is all about never
ever ever looking at your partner ever, Like, here's this person,
I'm going to hold her in a very intimate way,
and now I'm going to look at my shoulder the
whole time, never ever ever let my eyes go anywhere
near them. Like it's so British. We don't look at
each other. We certainly hold out bits apart.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Have you got any rhythm whatsoever? You're a good dancer, terrible?
Speaker 2 (03:17):
I think I'm excellent. I think I'm an excellent dancer.
Without I'm normally like normally with a only got a
bas guitar around my neck, and I can pull some
shapes on stage. But without that, it's a different story.
The most scary thing I've ever done in my life.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
Yes, camp, I said, you've got a book, book?
Speaker 2 (03:36):
What's about?
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Real quick?
Speaker 2 (03:39):
I do have a book. The book coming out on
the August. It's called so What Now what. It's more
like a tool, I guess. Remember when you broke up
with someone at the deck in the day, someone to
give you, like.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
The alchemist or hood moved my cheese or something like that.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
It's that kind of book. It's more of a tool
than it is a book. And I did it with
my mate Struitless, And yeah, it's something you read when
you're stuck while you give to some one who you
love who's a bit stuck. It's a it's a you know,
it's a it's a graphic novel about sentimental health. You know,
because I'm that chirpy kind of guy.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
We read it before you do the dancing.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
I wrote it in the middle of all of that. Yeah,
well we'll look.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
We're looking forward to it, so Sunday night, June fifteenth,
Channel seven and seven Place Night Dancing with the Stars.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
Else wore their own jacket to the opening night, but
I did.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Oh beautiful. Thank you for seeing you on there.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Take care, dude,
