There is a new survey that's carved out the most
over hyped beaches all the way around the world and
the ones that actually live up to their inster worthy promise. Okay,
they're talking about Ibetha, some of the summer villages that
they've got over there offering their experiences, and a lot
of people have come up and literally dish dished the dirts.
There's Google Reviews, people on TikTok and they've come up

with this list. So each beach in focus was scored
based on how often it disappointed versus how popular it
was online. Okay, and we all know that you can
see something online and it looks great, you turn up
there in reality and nah, it's crap. So topping the
list for the first three positions were all Thailand based Railay,

a beach famous for its limestone cliffs, followed by Patong
Beach that's apparently Thailand's party capital, and the third spot
is Maya Bay. That's that cove that was made famous
in the film The Beach right with Leonardo DiCaprio. But
coming in fourth place as the world's most over hyped.

Beach was Byron ba Ah.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
The hems were yes, followed by the always popular Bond
Eye Beach. So they've come in like these spots. I
guess that people always want to go. Well, remember I
went with my girlfriend a couple of about a month
or two ago, and but we have we had some
friends staying down there. But absolutely right, like it's nice.

But as they said, it's it's busy, and this is
what they're saying. It's like they've become you know, overcrowded, disappointing,
over you, overrated, commercialized.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Tourists, fatigue yees.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
So they're like, no, like some of these pictures you
can get are absolutely exquisite, but actually going and enjoying
them like good luck, and it is like that in Byron, it's.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Now for a steak at the hotel there.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
At Byron, I remember, no, we went and had a
coffee on the way out. My girlfriend and I had
had quite a big weekend and I was like, just
get out of here. There's too many people. And then
you had yes, yes, it was like ten dollars just
for there was whole process and you had to be here.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
It was all organic.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
I haven't been to Bondo in years, so I can't say,
but you know, everyone goes to, you know, the typical places.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
But that's a bit sad that, you know.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
I think we have some of the best beaches in
the world, but just because they're there and you know,
they get talked about, doesn't the best em But I
just said to you, what about Perth. Some of the
beaches over there are absolutely yeah. So I don't know what,
where have you been or what do people talk about
that's overrated?

Speaker 2 (02:26):
What do you what's your opinion on it? Chris is
in Oxford? Yea, Chris, how amen?

There you go?

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Well, where's where's overrated? Over hyped?

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Mane.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
I'd actually have to agree with that list that you
just read out. I've been to all of those places. Thailand.
I got told to go to Fuket around the Fukut
area and the islands for beaches. Our beaches are way
better than any beaches you see over in most of Asia.
I agree with Bondai and the other place and another

one I think they should add to that.

I was about to say Noose, I don't mind Nusa.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
I like, it's an amazing beach, but it's overcrowded, way overcrowded,
and if you go twenty minutes, well twenty minutes a
half an hour in either direction. You find secluded beaches
they got nobody had them.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
And that's what you want to me. You want to
go to the beach. You want a bit of serenity.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
You don't want to be there with everybody next to
you with their you know, bluetooth speaker on carry like
you want it?

Speaker 2 (03:23):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (03:24):
I want to go and I'm want to go in
the water and I will to lay on my toel
and be quiet.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Overrated, Yeah, Ashley, she's taking that kids in school this morning?
How I ash I'm good?

How are you right?

Speaker 2 (03:36):
What's overrated.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Sydney?

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Who can afford to go to Sydnemore? Yeah? I was
saying that.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
My husband's work unit and he tried to take me
out for a coffee one morning and it took us
an hour and a half just to find our location.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
We ended up turning around it coming home. It would
have been easy to make it in the room. This
is it exactly. It's trying to be nice and romantic again.
But I've got an idea for your overrated beaches. Beach
You're not as busy, right, I'm giving it a go
I've done a nice bath. That's next on the list.
